I have a Githzerai Monk with an AC of 32 and has Combat Expertise and Dodge. I am starting off with a party that has 8th level characters and I am starting as a level 6th because of my Level Adjustment.

I am trying to find a way to get an even higher AC to start of with any Ideas.

My monk is
Str 16
Dex 24
Con 18
Int 14
Wis 20
Cha 14

I have Inertial Armor because of my race and I am wearing Amulet of Nat Armor +2 and Ring of Protection +2. I am also wearing Gloves of Dex +2.

The catch is that I have to be able to afford all this stuff with the money stated in the DMG.

And I have a future question if this is the best i can start with then what other then more poweful Amulets and Protection Rings should I get.

But my initial advice would be to skip the Nat AC amulet for a higher bonus on the ring...you don't lose the ring bonus to Touch AC, even if it's +3 versus +4 i'd rather be more covered on touch and regular than a point higher on regular. As a monk you sure as heck shouldn't be the main meatshield, so touch AC is the big one to consider,c asters can be a biaaaatch.-Lobo13

Not sure what Inertial Armor is, but remember that Monks don't get their Wisdom bonus when wearing armor!

If yo want even more AC I would just like to suggest the Kung Fu Genius feat and prestiging into Duelist. Esencially you would gain your bonus to AC twice as well as +4 to initiative and +8 to AC against AoO for entering/leaving threatened space. Then there's the additional +10 to AC when fighting defensively. Just use a siamham (sp) and you'll be dealing out 3d6 + whatever enchanments you have on the thing

i think that because you have Innertial armor as su or ex ability(i dont remember which one) it is also available to you as a feat. A psionic feat you can take because you are a psionic creature according to psioni handbook of edition 3.0... If that is right your AC improves by an additional 4 points :D

Also there is a feat in complete adventurer or complete warrior that improves your AC by 2 if you have a high skill points in TUMBLE. check it out

This a bit difficult to play but if you are a powergamer its ok. Give your character the prestige who hates magic. Sorry i dont quite remember the name right now BUT i know it puts the constitution modiffier in your AC

I know you cant go back and change things, BUT I have a human monk that can attain similar AC's because he started out at 1st level as a Sorcerer (should have been a mage, but whatever). then you have access to Mage Armor and Shield. ANother idea is to take the feat Expertise that can effectively add 5 to your AC. So with this in mind, you can get +16 to your AC and you haven't even left the Core Rules. Not bad, eh? ;)

Kung Fu Genius appeared in Dragon Magazine a while back. Esentially it uses Int in place of Wis for all monk abilities.

young monk don't forget that not all attackers use man made weapons. you sould invest in the complete warrior and take full advantage or the feats focusing on countering. ending a battle as quick as possible is the only way to truely be untouchable.

Take a few feats from the book of exhaulted deeds and take the vow of poverty.

At your level you'd get +6 exhaulted bonus to your ac, a +1 deflection, eventually you'd get higher bonus' in both and natural bonus as well, not to mention a bunch of bonus exaulted feats and a slew of other abilities.

Only problem... you get no money, ever. Then again, you never need anything
