The little boy felt excluded, everyone around him sounded dumb and no one ever listened to him. One day, a mysterious man came to the village. Everyone seemed to praise him, but the little boy didn't know why. One day, the man approached the boy and asked him a favor. He told him a story about a boy that would become like no other. He only asked for his little unborn brother in his mother womb. The little boy agreed, killed his family and bring back his unborn brother corpse. The man asked him if he had any wish, the little boy told him he only wished for a friend. The man told him he couldn't give him a friend, so the boy in deception asked to have his brother back, but the man said he couldn't do that either. The boy then wished for the man to be undone and buried by the darkest meadow. The man told him to walk away forever in the direction he pointed, and for sure one day he would be undone. Okay, so I wanted the man to either be a evil god or a evil cleric ( dm discretion), something powerful enough to actually really grant wish ( if the boy would have actually asked for something the evil being would agree to give him). The problem is, I just learned our DM chose to play in Eberron, I don't know a lot about Eberron, but I know there is no ''official'' gods... I am actually wondering how could a Ur-Priest work in eberron? Does my background still work? |

In fact the background you have sounds like a classic case of a youthfull meeting with The Traveler (though you would have to be an evil child). The Traveler is technically one of the dark six though I believe he has a nuetral alignment. Edit: Classic warding phrase in Eb is "Beware the gifts of The Traveler." |
