I was wondering What you guys/girls think about this.

Supose my charicter has wings (and thus he does), and wants to do things and not fly everywere doing it. Like a impossible jump that would be easy to fly over. Could my charicter use his flying to boost his jump (distance or hight) or use it to run along around a wall to get into flanking, or use it to increase land speed? all of witch he could do flying but to add flavor he would be doing it on the land and use his wings to aid to lightness.

Im using savage speaces for a templit for my charicter. I had rolled a 18 and put it into my dex so my charicter has perfect flying. i dont know if that effects what you people think or not.

By the rules I believe your either walking or flying and can't use your wings to enhance your walking abilities.

Of course I don't have the savage species or anything else having to do with flying in front of me. But I havn't heard of a case of someone using their wings to enhance walking. So once again I believe the 'by the rules' answer is no.

If I were the GM, I would allow the impossible jump (and just play it as flying or gliding as far as the rule go) if it was something that it would be possible to jump if your Jump score was good enough. If it wasn't (for example, jumping across a 100' wide chasm without gaining height because the ceiling is in the way) you'd have to just fly. After all, we're just talking about adding colorful verbage, not adding or removing any abilities from the character.

On the other hand, running along a wall isn't something that wings would allow the character to do, so I wouldn't allow that. Maybe if the character had Spider Climb...
