He is also Mute (cannot speak) As for racial Characteristics he has: Infravision 60 ft +2 save vs. Elect/Fire/Pois Half Damage from Cold Double Damage from Silver 2d6 Damage from Holy Water Ability to cast Darkness 15´ 1 a day per level I was also Blessed with the following Wild Talents: Invisibility Telepathy (One Way Communication) Precoginition Molecular Agitation Clairvoyance He also has a Spectral Pânther from his previous adventure. After typing all of this out I see that he is powerfull. He is also the highest level member of the party along side our mage. I don´t want to give the character up. Do you guys suggest anything about roleplaying the character right without abusing my power. *edit* whether or not i should take away something or add some characteristics to hinder his ability/help help his character development*\edit* In the previous adventure he took over the role as scout from our ranger since he had better sneaking skills. Let me know what you guys think. |
| Morka02-02-05, 08:24 PM | What do you want to know exactly? You gave us his stats, but do you have a background? Where is he born? Who are his parents? Which one was a tiefling, unless it's something else that made him evil-touched... Does he have any sibling, cousin? Is any of all those people dead? Why? What about his clothing? You said he has wings and a tail. Are they hidden under his shirt, or is it apparent? What color does he prefer? Take the two first link in my signature, it should help you to find some hints to roleplay him. |
| Vaelon02-08-05, 12:15 AM | Well to give a little history and mentality of Vaelon I have made a series of journal entries read on: Day: Unknown - Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I feel that I’ve been asleep for a very long time. I only awoke hours ago not knowing where I am or how I arrived here. As I hang trapped in this tree I try to recall my most recent memories. All I can remember is being approached by man in a red robe in the wood. Possibly a red wizard of Thay… But I was so young at that time. What has happened to me? My right wing is severely torn, but not recently as there is no bleeding. Is the beast below me the culprit? Maybe… I do feel a strong bond between the two of us. I guess it’s time to get down from here and meet my new friend, or at least reacquaint myself… Day: One week from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown We’ve been traveling for days now, me and Shar…Although I don’t remember Shar felt right for her. She is a spectral panther to my knowledge; A beast who feeds off the fear and flesh of their prey. Her body looks translucent and barely substantial, but it’s just a property of her fur. However her eyes fail to reflect light and are as black as her pelt… This wretched wood seems to be unfathomable. I am unable to fly due to my injured wing. The pain is unbearable just to extend them. It’ll be better to travel by foot anyway. Try to remain unseen. Don’t want to alert the locals… If there are any locals… This place seems dead besides a few insects… Day: One week and 3 nights from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I’ve been carrying this scabbard with me. I don’t know if it belongs to me or not but either way it has caught my interest. It looks to hold a short sword but if magical then it could possibly hold anything. The mysterious sheath is jeweled with rubies, onyx pieces, and diamonds so beautiful it makes me wonder why the engraving is that of the Black Hand of Bane… And this blank tome, of which I mark with my own essence, also holds the Black Hand… These two objects, along with Shar are the only clues I have in finding my forgotten nights… Day: Fortnight from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown It’s been about a fortnight since my awakening. It was hard for me to measure the passing time in the dense forest. We have reached the end of the god-forsaken forest. We’ve entered some type of highland because of all the rolling hills and the fresh green grass. The humidity and the salty smell in the air tell me that we’re nearing the ocean. That means food. Living from the few insects was hardly enough to satisfy neither me nor Shar. The fish there will be pretty tasty and I know she is going to love the taste of meat, even though it’s only fish… The sun is rising. Something I rarely ever see. So bright it hurts, but it is so beautiful nonetheless… Day: Two weeks four nights from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I blacked out again… All I remember is being approached by a caravan of Orc slave runners. I awoke in a pool of blood, but not of my own. I fear that the Tanar’ri inside me may have taken over. But what of the people? Human and few elven slaves where being held. Could I have killed them too? I hope that I did not commit such a vile act… I’ve acquired a couple of things since the last I was awake. A pair of daggers, two jeweled short swords. One which shows of excellent quality. The other looks like a rusty piece of ****. A vial of paralyzing poison; I had sampled a drop of it on my finger, numbed it for minutes. But the most odd out of everything was the holy symbol of Ilmater. Why would I have this? I discovered that the name ‘Eliza’ is engraved on the back. I did notice a golden haired woman dressed in a dull grey robe. Yes… She was in the first cell before I blacked out… Day: Three weeks from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I reached a village near the ocean. The whole place has been razed to the ground. Only a few clouds of smoke remain as every structure lay in rubble. The ocean’s rumble masks a lot of the sound in the area… The twisted beauty of the sight I behold is astonishing. I ventured into the desolate town. Signs of life were scarce. No one but a few young children survived. I heard a few cries of ‘Monster’ as I walked through. I grabbed a torn cloak and wrapped it around my near naked body. Of the remnants of the town I clothed myself and took a few supplies. I also was able to repair my wing; although I still cannot fly I am able to glide for a short while. I decided that it would be better to lightly bind them to body; less conspicuous then. I was also able to attain some information on what went on. Gruumsh, head of the Orcish pantheon, plans to unite Orcs from all over Faerun and march upon Mithral Hall. I found a letter written in poor Orcish on a parchment made of wood elf skin… Day: Three weeks one night from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown Shar and I just finished burying the last of the deceased. Both Human and Orc lay together in the sand. The sea plays a final tune as the souls of the departed leave for each owns’ afterlife. Under the full moon, Shar and I wander of what’s to come of us. I feel that fate is pulling us somewhere, perhaps toward the mountain of mithral hall. I shall head north using the wake of the Orcs as my cover… The beauty of the ocean is something I have not ever experienced before. The cool air chills my hot skin as the vastness of the sea creates a tremendous wonder in my heart… Day: Three weeks three nights from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I’ve been able to catch up with the Orc army. By far this is a devastating force. I’ve never seen this many Orcs ever. There must be thousands of them. Infiltrating the camp was difficult, but wasn’t anything beyond my caliber. I did find some information on the Orcs. The tribe is called Many Arrows, and their leader is Obould, the chosen one of Gruumsh. I caught a couple words of uniting opposing clans of Giants. I wasn’t able to find much more than that. I slipped up and was almost caught… thankfully Shar covered me. Day: Three weeks five nights from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown It is the eve of the second fortnight and we are on the run. I was discovered while eavesdropping last. A patrol of Orcs have been trailing us ever since. Obould mentioned something of a weapon forged by Giants from the north. It is said to hold catastrophic power. The rumors were true. Obould is Huge. He stands at least 10 feet tall. In all my years… at least the ones I remember, I’ve never seen an Orc or Orog of that size. Tallest Orog I’ve ever seen was 8-9 feet maximum. This is one Orc I wouldn’t want to mess with… Day: Three weeks six nights from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown It is the eve of the second fortnight. It’s been two nights and we’ve finally lost our pursuers. I don’t want to know what they would have done to if they had caught us… But now we’re lost. I fail to remember which direction I fled but with the color of the leaves seem to seep more and more the further we go. I feel that we near the mountains of the north. The fog is dense so I’m a little wary of the situation. I must stay on guard; never know what lurks out here…… Day: Four weeks from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I met a very interesting group of people yesterday… Shar first encountered a young sylvan elf at our camp ground. From the look of him he is a ranger, and the scout for the rest of the party He called himself PeiJae. Next Sylvesti Moonsinger, another elf, not like the first was wearing robes similar to that of a long lost school. I felt a strong mental power from him. The third wasn’t quite an elf, maybe a half breed. Amber is her name. She seems quite ambitious, although kind of naďve. She is a Cleric of the one they call Tyr. From what she said, he is a deity of justice and truth. I asked her if she might have known of the Eliza I seek, but unfortunately she does not… Arkan is a tiger from the north. He is also a telepath but one of lesser power. There is something about him, but I can’t pinpoint it though… Kyra, she’s a paladin of the same deity as Amber. She is the biggest of the group. She speaks with sincerity and power, but makes me uneasy around her. They also have one of my kind with them… Shileeta, she is succubae, and her mindset is one of a child. She still thinks like most Tanar’ri… A very interesting group they are. They asked me to join with them to the city of Silvery Moon. I was wary of accepting but I did nonetheless. Day: Four weeks one day from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown I gaze upon the glorious city of Silvery Moon. For a moment, I felt an aura of greatness around me. The magnificence of the city glows beyond the gates for miles… Reaching the gates we were greeted with open arms… something I’ll never be used to. The city is just at gorgeous inside as it is outside the walls. The place has an aroma of perfection to it. The perfectly carved and bright clean walls prove this. The atmosphere shows that of virtuous leader. We meet with this leader, Madam Alustrel. She seems ageless as her wisdom waves far beyond her beauty should hold. She spoke with a calm voice amidst the chaos the war has brought. Kyra and Sylvesti informed the lady of the latest events of their travels, how they were able to overcome an encampment of over 30 giants (a mighty party they are as that isn’t an ordinary feat.) and discovered their plans on the construction of their super weapon. The lady had already what had gone on and she already set passage to where the party must go next: the frozen tundra of the Spine of the World. Once we were prepared we stepped though the portal. There was something oddly familiar about traveling in this way. Maybe I…. I don’t know… Day: Four weeks one day from Awakening Month: Unknown Year: Unknown We are deep in the mountainside of the place we were transported to. We’ve finally stopped to rest as we encounter various things in the cavern. Our long travel toward the summit proved uneventful. Once the path leveled out we approached a checkpoint of some sort. There were four frost giants guarding the place. I don’t understand how this party has lived this long. Their tactics are too direct and prove too dangerous for my liking. All of their ideas for solving this problem included fighting. I decided to show them how a little thinking and calm mind can bring solutions without unnecessary combat. They have a lot to learn, and I guess I’m the one to teach them… We came across a room with I guess it would be a natural trap; A room with loose stalactites across a sensitive path. I swear if it ever took me as long as this group took to deliberate then I would be far pass dead. After an half an hour of decision making we reached what seems to be a frozen tomb. The party seem shocked to see the sight of the but I’ve seen worse. Watching your own mother brutally murdered has its effects... *** I hope this gives an idea of what's going on with Vaelon *** |
