Hav0k 06-20-06, 10:29 AM	I'm trying to model this character after VAMP from the Metal Gear Solid Series. I have a few pages of backstory typed up, which I will upload later, but for now I'll give a few of the important details. -He was born a rich boy, at the age of sixteen the entire town was slaughtered by vampires (town population around 70). His father, knowing what was coming, decided to not let the family suffer and shot his wife, his son, and himself. The gunpowder however did not ignite on the last two shots, but he figured the high-velocity spring was enough to kill. It simply buried the musket shot into his sons forehead, but thankfully was enough to kill himself. The trauma to the boy's brain made him a little bit crazy, though he wouldn't know it till later. He delights in torturing and slaughtering his enemies, although he only goes after enemies if theirs something for him to gain. He fights with dagger's alone. At the age of 23, the power and tenacity of what the vampires were able to do even when outnumbered at such great odds hits him, and becoming a vampire becomes his soul desire. He joins a group of adventurers hoping to one day come across another creature of he night. Okay we are starting this campaign at first level. I know he's human, thats for sure. I was thinking Rogue, but I can see there are other classes that would fit just as well. The campaign starts in 3 hours, so any help would really be appreciated. Class, Feats, Skills, and Weapons and such suitable for a first level character are really appreciated. Not looking to build it from here, just some good ideas.
Fithero 06-20-06, 10:41 AM	Ok, take a look at hexblade, dark warrior type class... his hatred of something, or obsession for becomming a vamp allow him to curse others. Same with the warlock class... perhaps he made a deal with some outside power to try and become a vamp himself. Did the bullet go into his head? or does he kinda have this cracked open forehead with a bullet sticking out (gross i know... but it could be cool.. atleast give him a noticable scar) What has he done so far to try and become a vampire? has he already found one, but it was killed off by hunters? Has his search gain the interesting of some holy order that believes he hunts them to kill them, perhaps they try and recruit him wrongly thinking he will be an asset? Perhaps knowlege in religon and arcane (or whatever) to give him a bit of knowledge.... a little bit *too* much knowledge on vampires. Just enough to make others wonder about him. Hell.. perhaps he acts like a vampire already.. avoids sunlight (heavy robes), avoids garlic and crosses, asks before entering a private abode and refuses to cross running water... just stupid stuff like that. He is kinda of *conditioning* himself for when he really becomes a vamp. Hope this bunch of ramble helps. Later
Hav0k 06-20-06, 10:52 AM	He definetely already act's completely vampiric. His canines are already sharpened and he trys to completely avoid sunlight. The back of the bullet is even with his forehead, and is still stuck there. When he gets angry the vein around it pulses and he goes into a deep hatred anger from the pulsing headache. So far he hasn't done much except for library research, he's saving up money and such for weapons. Because while he wants to be a vampire, he's smart enough to know that some might just slaughter him, and he wants to be protected. One of the sick "rituals" he has is carving long tally-marks into his chest with each new victim he has, but he has only had a few kills in dark alley ways and such, trying to kill for money.
