| SpellMaster02-16-05, 09:53 AM | I'm looking to play a neutral-with-good-tendencies rogue who desires to help the greater good, but is not opposed to using some less than moral ways to reach those goals. This character will be a very stealthy character who, at night, patrols the streets from hiding, watching for wrong doings, which he then will attempt to correct using whatever means necessary. He desires no fame. In fact, he wishes to remain unknown to the general populace. The problem I am having is the reason for his adventuring with the party. I've thought of a few ideas: - there is a great evil brewing which he takes upon himself to defeat. Yet, he cannot do this alone, so he tags along with an adventuring party. - He uses the party (preferably a single member) as a face to which he can divert all fame. - One of them saved (or spared) his life, and now he owes him a life-debt. As for race, I've yet to decide, but was thinking the standard human, or maybe something a little different, like maybe a kobold, goblin, or other less-than-respected humanoid. Maybe just a halfling even. I'm not sure yet. Anyways, I'd like some ideas for how to play this type of character. Social situations will be a sort of weakness for him. So, any ideas for characteristics, reason for adventuring, or race? |
