Vile character [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-20-06, 10:06 PM I am makeing a Thrall of Demogorgon so needless to say hes evil. the rough story i have thought of is he was born into a Cult. He now searches for a way to please his master.

So this is the rough idea ne suggestions or other ideas?

A tiefling would probably be raised, it's demon blood being considered a perverse sign of favour.

Another point, how would you plan to make the character suitably evil? I have no idea how to role-play a servator of demogorgon. I mean, what would demogorgon want his cultists to do?

Any indication of his personality? These all are huge factors.

06-21-06, 03:28 PM I've done Thrall of Demogorgon before, so maybe I can be helpful.

First off, Demogorgon is completely, undeniably insane. Split personality, depravity, the works. It helps to note that being a Thrall of Demogorgon implies that you are trying to be as close to Demogorgon as possible.

So you're insane. In what ways? Typically, a homicidal maniac works as a good basis for your idea. I always enjoyed kidnapping people off the streets, and then sacrificing them in elaborate rituals involving whips with various properties (such as Wounding or Flaming or Vorpal) and bloodletting. My DM got severely annoyed at the detail I went into and said "You spend an hour torturing and dismembering this man. Ritual done, you gain such and such favour from Demorgorgon for the day"

In battle, death should be the only thing on your mind. Deat to your enemies, and if you are weak death to you. Demogorgon helps only those who help themselves, and has no time for the weak. You must constantly seek to improve yourself and prove your worth as Demogorgon's servant.
