warforged artificer [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-31-07, 08:30 PM i just starting playing the eberron campaign and i was wondering what would be a good background story for this type of character

05-31-07, 09:34 PM I very nearly played a Warforged Artificer once. The back story I was planning on using was that one of the Cannith artificers had him commissioned as a laboratory assistant.

Whats "his"/"her" alignment?
Whats their personality like?
How old?
Were they in the last war?

Otherwise you might get a background like this -

"Zzirb was made to clean toilets. It was very hard. To make his job easier, he invented what he called a "toilet brush". Zzirb liked inventing things, so he became an artificer."

Lovely isnt it? :P

06-01-07, 10:03 PM Hey, Nate, this is Ian. Um, for a backstory you could have something about a dwarf who worked the forges in some volcanic weapon-smithing plant smuggled parts, piece by piece, to create a warforged, who he intended to be his slave. He was an oppresive master but finally the warforged escaped. he could have a resulting dislike of dwarves, and maybe if he becomes a ranger they could be his favcored enemy. Now he could wander around fighting oppression.
