My basic concept is to do the unthinkable, have a warforged cleric that worships (and is heard) by a specific deity instead of concepts. My direction was going towards the Dracolyte PrC from Dragonomicon, i.e. a Warforged cleric that worships a Dragon God (Hlal to be specific, taking the Dragon and Trickery domains). My ideas are he came out of the creation forges and discovered that he was different then his other breathern. Instead of taking to his martial training easily, he kept seeking out answers to "the big questions", such as why is he here, does he have a soul, etc. Somehow, during the course of this training/contemplation period, he locks into the lore of strange and mystical race of dragons, and (I guess) devotes himself to seeking out their help in answering his questions. Thus begins his life of following/seeking dragons, eventually becoming a devotee of dragons via the Dracolyte PrC, and possibly finishing up his last levels as a contemplative (after hopefully some planar adventures that take him into contact with truly cosmic dragon spirits/avatars etc). So, with all that in mind, honestly, how in the heck can I connect a Warforged (built for combat in the Last War) to a) the cleric class in general b) worshiping a dragon god (like how would s/he even know of these gods) c) eventually becoming a dracolyte, considering Eberron dragons are a little less then friendly to say the least. I think I just like the concept of a sentient construct seeking out the questions many of us in RL struggle with, all the while attempting to "live up" to his created role of a combatant. Thanks in advance for any help!
