After looking at the feats they get I think I'll go with Adamantine Body. Anyway so we (the batch of warforged) were created shortly before the war ended intentionally to become dragon shamans. A civilized kobold artificer who decided that the aura abilities of the dragon shamans would do well on the battle field convinced a small group of kobold dragon shaman's to train these newly created warforged in there ways. After the end of there training the dragon shaman's realized the potential of these warforged, and decided to steal them and take off into the night. They devised a plan to split up into four groups each with one or two of the warforged. My character doesn't know what happened to the rest of the warforged, all he knows is that on there escape they got ambushed by a bunch of humanoids at night, in the middle of the ensuing losing battle he was knocked inert (-5 HP or something). They were traveling through wilderness when this happened and inert he remained. Until the current party of PC's (will) happen to fall upon him. Now I'm curious they will inform me that I'm free to do what I want. I'll of course find a reason to travel with them. But how should I play a warforged who was indoctrinated with the customs of these dragon shamans? My only thoughts is that eventually he will become obsessed with finding a dragon. Mainly because he has been told of the awsome power his entire life and he's never seen one. With the ability to decide on what to do I figure that it might be a reasonable thing to become curious about. The DM has lifted the alignment restrictions on the Dragon shamans due to the nature of alignment in eberron. So any idea's on which totem I should pick? I'm planning on being neutral, but I figure my alignment might change as I become more of a freethinking creature. Anyone with experience playing warforged would be appreciated because I honestly would like the input on how to roleplay this kind of character. |

Warforged generally develop their social skill based on interactions with those they fight beside and were trained by. You only have the training aspect from what you've told us. what I see indicates a character who wants others to show him his way. So far his whole life has been others telling him what to do and how to become stronger. At 2 or maybe 3 years old he doesn't understand the concept of "free to do as you please". The desire to find a dragon most likely will come later as a result of pressure from your newfound groups' pushing you to become more of an individual. You choose it more because it fits what you have been trained to think than because you truly feel such a desire. |
