I decided to take my Combat Medic idea to Star Wars d20,where soliders can get treat injury and Craft(medpacs) as class skills, but

I decided to make a half-orc fighter who bashes with spiked gauntlets.Since that means getting up close and personal; I wanted to give him a high as possible DEX to avoid touch attacks.
I know this is sounding like a min/max thing but here is the role playing question.

I can take Weapon Finesse with the Spiked Gaunlet but do spiked gauntlets really rely more on Dexterity than strength to hit. When i think of Spiked gaunlets I think of a big bruiser not some wiry, nimble finesse oriented warrior.I can take weapon's finesse for my orc fighter with the gauntlets but it seems to stretch believability. What do ya'll think.

I don't think it's really a stretch, you have to think what your half orc looks like, maybe for one he's kinda like the runt and not very big (even to half orc standards) or he just might just not be a sterotype of what people think of half-orcs (big and stupid) instead of fast and cunning. Also you have to ask yourself how he learned to fight, maybe he was trained by a monk for a little while and thats how he learned how to fight with his fists and use speed (though not so much as a 1st lvl monk). Personally I like the idea of a high dex half-orc.

Spiked gauntlets are a weapon, no need to learn it from a monk or even get the unarmed attack feat. However I admit one of his model could have been a monk, but unable to deal damage while unarmed, he choose to fight with spiked gauntlets.

Another suggestion for a cunning half-orc could be using Parry. A spiked gauntlet is a light weapon, and can't be disarmed. A question however: does parrying while unarmed (or using only gauntlets) trigger a magical touch spell, like electrical grasp or vampiric touch?

I'd say, using weapon finesse with spiked gauntlets, he's trying to drag the spikes rather than stab with them; more karate-chop and backhanded-slap than punch.

Consider the difference between Thok and Grag:

Thok is the 18 STR spiked guantlet power attacking Half orc.

Grag is the 18 Dex (14 Str) spiked gauntlet finessing half orc.

Against an armored opponent, Thok prefers to rely on brute force, simply pounding away with his fists until the spikes hit home. Grag however prefers to take advantage of his nimbleness, a trait not common in his species. Like the great orc boxer Marharmar Ila, he floats like a beholder, and stings like a wyvern! Knowing he can't out-pound Thok, Grag does his best to make sure he can land his hits accurately, getting around his opponents defenses and hitting weak spots.

How's that? Grag, the half-orc boxer.
