Hi,

What do you think about my new character. He is a cleric of Xan Yae, the Greyhawk goddess of shadows and stealth.
I've created him to be an allround character. He is good at melee, but not as good as fighter, he's stealthy but not as good as a rogue, and he is a cleric but Wisdom did not get a very high score (compared to the rest).
I think he is a cool character with enough depth to be challenging in the game.
If you have any additional ideas or suggestion for this character, please let me know

Kristov was being trained
for a special unit in the
army of his homeland.
During this rigorous training
he was sent on a training
mission to a far off mount-
ainous region. There he
was supposed to go on a
hike through orc and bug-
bear infested land. If he'd
survive he would graduate
and become part of a recon
unit of great renown.
Kristov survived all right. His
great strength combined
with his shrewdness and
talent for stealth proved
enough for the job... And
more. Hidden deep within
the mountain range he
discovered a temple to
the mysterious goddess of
shadows and stealth,
XanYae. The lone priest of
the temple only ever saw
traveling worshippers
who visited the temple.
Kristov was the first to
discover it on his own.
The priest, who called him-
self Raven, saw this as a
sign. He offered Kristov a
new life as a priest. Kristov
was fascinated by XanYae.
A deity who strove for per-
fection in many ways. The
dogma of XanYae greatly
appealed to Kristov and
he started his studies.
He never returned to his
army so they probably
assume he is dead.
Kristov's studies ended
when he received the
blessing of his deity in the
form of granted spells.
He had spent several years
with Raven, but now the
time has come to travel
on his own and find deeper
spiritual perfection in his
faith and in his abilities.
Kristov decided that adven-
turing would be a good way
to improve himself.

Kristov is of normal build, but he is much stronger and more dangerous than
he looks. He seems unassuming until he enters battle and his fluid motions,
divine magic and powerful strikes betray his abilities.
He is very muscular without being too broad. He has bright eyes, is bald and
dresses in unadorned black clothes. He prefers to wear light armor like
chain shirts or mithral chainmail, usually something he can cover up with
his black clothes. Kristov is neutral. He is mostly concerned with his own
development and with the worship of his deity. He does prefer good over
evil, since evil often goes into such extremes that it disrupts the balance.
He is against all radicals and fanatics though, as his goddess preaches
that all extremes should be tempered.
Kristov considers faith to be very personal and he likes it when people are
kept in the dark about his exact abilities. That is why he does not reveal
quickly that he is a priest, preferring to pose as an ordinary ex-soldier.
XanYae, the Lady of Perfection, is the goddess of Shadows and Stealth.
Her temples and clerics are often hidden in remote locations where ancient
lore can be found. Remaining unseen is important in her religion as XanYae
teaches that when something reaches perfection it becomes invisible.
Many Rogues and Monks worship XanYae because she strives for
perfection and because remaining unseen is often also important to them.
XanYae's holy symbol is a black lotus blossom. Kristov has this tattooed on
his arm, amidst many more tattoos.
Kristov takes any time he can to train his abilities and skills. This is how
he keeps his strength and agility up.
One of Kristov's main goals is to increase his willpower, insight and wisdom.
He feels that for a priest of XanYae he is lacking in this department. It is
what he considers his one flaw and it is very important to him.

Okay, the background seems solid, it explains why he has a wisdom score like that, so that is all well and good. I do, however, have some questions. First, How is he wielding a falchion, and with +5 to hit? Also, and more importantly, how does he have 3 first level spells at level 1? Clerics get 1 general spell, and one domain spell at first level. they do not get one spell from each domain, they get one from between the two.

The answers are easy:

He can wield a Falchion because it is the favored weapon of Xan Yae. The granted power of the war domain is that he is proficient with it and receives weapon focus with it for free.

from SRD:
WAR DOMAIN
Granted Power: Free Martial Weapon Proficiency with deity’s favored weapon (if necessary) and Weapon Focus with the deity’s favored weapon.

His +5 to hit is due to his strength (+4) and the weapon focus (+1)

He has three spells because he gets 1 general + 1 domain spell and 1 bonus spell due to his wisdom score of 14.

He also has some skills that are not on the normal cleric list due to his trickery domain

from SRD:
TRICKERY DOMAIN
Granted Power: Add Bluff, Disguise, and Hide to your list of cleric class skills.

I would like mainly for people to give their opinion about the character concept and the way I've written it.
