| Gluestick06-10-07, 05:47 PM | I was wonderign what a good goal might be for an Elven Sorceress. I didn't want to go with somethign as lame as "power" or anything like that. Alignment is negligible. Please, any suggestions would be much appreciated. |
| Stormbrand06-10-07, 08:48 PM | More information. Much more. - Any background info? A community? - Any world info? - Her personality? That sort of thing. Why a sorceress and not a wizard? Wizards can perform grand projects and works, sorcerers are far more limited in spells, tending to focus on spells with immediate results rather than creative potential (makes more use of the high spells per day). An important question to think about is the source of her power. If there is dragon blood in her she may be interested in seeking out her draconic ancestors. If she is from a family of witches then she may have a loyalty towards them. |
| Gluestick06-10-07, 09:14 PM | Alright. Let me elaborate. She is a bit haughty and possesses dragon blood. She doesn't really consider any man good enough for her, since she is a Draconic Elf. I have toyed with the idea of seekign out a dragon to give her young, but that seems a bit too perverted. What do you lads think? |
| DX205206-11-07, 02:20 AM | I wouldn't call a character searching for true love perverted, nor would I consider trying to find desierable traits in a mate anything negative. |
| warwinner06-11-07, 02:31 AM | 1] searching for a dragon blooded prince to marry/love 2] searching for a dragon cohort 3] seek out a legendary community of dragon riding/blooded elves of whom there has been no news for decades 4] seeking to make sense of her draconic dreams/nightmares 5] Wants to find a way of becoming more like a dragon |
| Dead_Weasel06-11-07, 03:52 AM | A haughty character might not desire power, but they would probably desire mastery. She could desire power not for its own sake but to prove her inherent superiority. She could seek out ways to enhance her draconic side (do not EVER take levels in Dragon Disciple, BTW) or means of controlling dragons - what better way to display how great you are? If you decide to use the mate-pursuing idea, then what would the motivation for that be - to have powerful children, or to have a powerful army whose every soldier is personally loyal to her? |

I like that second idea. I also like these two. 1] searching for a dragon blooded prince to marry/love 2] searching for a dragon cohort Thanks for the help guys. |
