Zhane - LG Human Monk that is my newest creation. that stats are yet to be rolled as i only do that in front of the DM so as to have no one say "how'd you get those rolls?!" once again. the name is also something not done. i've always had trouble with names but so he is merely "Zhane" at the moment. oh yeah, this is for a Forgotten Realms character. -------------------------- very unique in the fact that Zhane wanted to go live in a monestary in stead of with his family in Waterdeep. they're not nobles, but still well to do. his mother (Clevarra, Claire for short) makes beautiful word art (calligraphy) and is a priest of Mystra at the local temple. Zhane's father (Samivar, Sam for short) died as Claire's protector. they were from Rashemen (Claire being a Witch of Rashemen, a sisterkin, and Sam her ranger guide, protector, and eventually, lover) and explored the width and breadth of Faerun until finally settling down in the City of Splendors. Zhane's reasoning for joining the monestaric lifestyle is quite simple really. the life of Waterdeep is too much for him. the good and the bad. once, when young and running through the streets, playing with other children, he was the unfortunate witness to a brutal murder in a dark alley. the experience is forever burned in his mind; however, Zhane does not regret it. that experience molded who he is now. completely unwilling-and perhaps unable-to kill another reasoning being, Zhane wishes to bring criminals to true justice rather than kill them outright, calling that "street justice". thus, he much prefers nonlethal damage when dealing with any creature except true, unthinking monsters. Seeing Ilmater as a sort of role model, Zhane follows The Crying God's dogma. Hearing of a monastic order of Ilmater was the most exciting day for Zhane. Knowing her son's wishes to be true and pure, Claire gave her blessing to her son and was glad to see him following his heart, off to the monastery in Tethyr. ------------------------------- well that's all i have so far. i may update it in the future, so who knows. thanks!
