Right, so I was reading over the Ruathar PrC from Races of the Wild, and I got this idea of a Half-Elf who wants to become as one with his Elven roots as he can. He's an Elven wannabe who makes it stick. I've figured out these levels so far.

1. Half-Elf
2. Elf
3. Wizard (Elven Wizard if DM will allow a HE with Elf levels to sub. as full elf)
4. Half-Elf
5. Half-Elf
6. Elf
7. Elf
8. Ruathar
9. Ruathar
10. Ruathar

At this point, dude has decent hit points, decent skill points, better than average abilities, some weapon and armor proficiencies, 7? caster levels, and LOTS of racial bonus in the standard elven areas. Where should the character go from here both from a flavor and survivability standpoint? More wizard? An appropriate Prestige class? Ideas about weapons (longbow?), armor (including ways to get past arcane failure), and feats would also be appreciated.

Well, yes and no. I mean, pure flavor without a thought to character power is only half of it, but then, I've no desire to play an anthropomorpic feral baleen whale mineral warrior ninja. For example, I thought bladesinger might be appropriate to the flavor of the concept, but the CO guys mostly hate bladesingers.

So I guess the question is, are there any other classes that might be similar in flavor to the bladesinger?
