I'd like to post this for overall ideas on what RP direction to take my Cleric in. I'll make this as short as possible. My Cleric, named Ghalec, had started as a worshipper of Heironeous, the typical youngish naive goody goody type.

By fate he wound up with a Hextor worshipping noble with dreams of conquest, an insane gnome wizard (not evil just crazy), a rogue only seeking fortune, and another fighter only seeking fame. There were a great many personality clashes between Galec and the evil fighter. All of which ended unfavorably, because my character was pretty much alone on perspective.(1 evil and 3 selfish types)

My character seemed to be headed for evil's door almost from the beginning. In his military unit (consisting of clerics), a kid worshipping Nerull was there just to be a thorn in the side. Of course being a good guy, he tries to make the kid see the error of his ways. The kid only gets more obstinate and seems to get more obstinate.

My character was ordered to bring a package to a village of Summoners. When they arrived, the package opened and Fire Elementals popped up, torched the village, and killed every one. While in shock, his party looted the village.

He would also be asked to escort a young priestess of the goddess Althena (from Lunar) to complete The Four Dragon Trials. The travel between Trials as well as the Trials themselves is making him slip into a brooding depression. He fought off crazed demonic followers of an evil god Zolph, 3 corrupted dragons (1 at each trial), as well as dealt with all the problems in between each Dragon's Temple. He winds up starting a liaison, innocently enough, with a woman named Joan who has "otherworldy" qualities about her. He is giving in to his despair that every evil around him seems to be getting the upper hand on him. After the 3rd trial, he goes to see Joan for a liaison when she reveals she is a succubus. My character simply gives into desire and that night Heironeous abandons him.

The next day, Ghalec had a crisis and prayed for his power but Heironeous of course would not answer. The local High Priestess of Hextor approaches him from behind almost as if she was waiting for him. She offers him the choice to join Hextor which he accepts, believing that his own lack of ruthlessness led to his depression.

Having converted, he regained his will to live and marched on. The whole party now knowing that the leader of the Althenan church was actually a demon, wound up destroying her and their young charge, having finished her trials, became the new leader.

Ghalec was awarded a militaristic, despotic town which he is governing with an iron fist. The town has regular gladiatorial games and lives primarily off militaristic trades and ruling the people despotically.

I would appreciate some ideas and feedback by anyone. Ghalec has approached his new life with a convert's zeal and wishes to be the evil that rules all the evils that kicked him down. Any ideas for things to try that really scream "**** you Heironeous. I'll destroy your lies once and for all!" Thanks in advance.

First of all, you should take out any temples or churches of Heironeous that you used to pray at (or even visited), kill all the clergy (or convert them if you can) and destroy the structure and raise one to Hextor in its place.

(That should tick Heironeous off a bit)

Then, begin a PR war, using your own attacks as proving points, show the people that following Heironeous is pointless because he cant protect them. Hextor on the other hand *can* and will protect them, as long as they follow his laws... yadda yadda yadda... however you want to spin it.

The main thing with the gods is their followers, take them away and theyre pretty much nothing.... apart from epic level characters with divine ranks :gah:

Have you ever thought about enslaving the clergy of Heironeous?

I mean, killing the servants is just fine, it weakens his powers, but selling the archbishop into slavery would definetly be a sign of true power, and, on the other hand, i couldn`t think of a deeper humiliation right now for the god himself than seeing his most pious servants feeding berries (or chopped off limbs of children) to a demon.

So much for now. Have fun :evillaugh
