| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 06:04 PM | Appearing in his black robes as always, Ryan cracks his knuckles, lets loose his fangs, and draws his rapier, sharpening it at he sits on the rock. Keeping all his senses, Veran and Vampire alike, at full, he waits for the last son of Caine, a halfbreed in his eyes at best. Cracking his claws out as well, Ryan looked forward to gaining new powers this night. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 06:36 PM | Alagos arrives sharply at sundown and when he arrives he see Ryan pacing around sharpining his rapier. " Ahh I see you bring a duelist's weapon, I am sorry but I come equipped with no such weapons. I carry only this [ a gold enlayed ancesteral weapon salvaged from the tomes of his fathers]. Before we begin I must ask you something, " What does being a full-blood feel like?" |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 06:43 PM | Veran or Vampire? He laughs. In his dark tone, the laugh is menacing. He says simply: When I was still pure bred Veran, it felt like a rush of moonlight, knowing I was guarding humanity from, well, what I about to become. When I turned vampiric, it was pure strength, amazing powers, the need to hunt, but the knowing that I would succeed. When I melded my powers, it was something like being a beast of the night. Its nice. Purebloods don't need as much blood as others, but we all hunt. My line is both vampire and Veran. They have become even greater Guardians than my mortal brethren. So to answer, your question, it feel about the same as normal. He puts his rapier away, dropping onto all fours. As his shifting of form begins, he says: Ready, last son of Caine? |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 07:04 PM | Let it begin (( hey terran check your private messages for me i gots a ?)) |
| WizO_Pounamu06-29-04, 08:42 PM | ((Sorry guys, but if it's not in the Tavern itself then the thread should be on another board. I'll shift it across to the Map of the Planes for you. ;) - Pounamu)) |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 10:19 PM | Alagos draws his sword and stands ready for a charge. He feels his forefathers memories pass before his eyes and he remembers the voice of his brother best friend and eventually his demise. He feels a rush of energy rush thru him and he knew that this could be his last chance to be rid of his curse forever. |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 10:40 PM | Still on all fours, Ryan eyes change first. Going from the shadowy eyes that he had in his human form, they suddenyl shifted to lupine eyes, as sounds of shifting bone and muscles was heard, as his long silver fur grew in, his clothing disappearing. Growing taller, and longer, he was soon the size of a bear, yet he was a wolf. A great, silver wolf, with claws and fangs of silver. But his fangs were longer than normal, obviously the sign of his vampiricay in this form. Shining in the blackness of his magiks, the giant beast awaits the vampire's charge. He laughs, his voice hoarse and predatory in this form. I assume you didn't expect this to happen, did you? He howls a bone chilling howl, the symbol of the Shadow Fang, a Moon pierced by a triangle, upon his giant forehead. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 10:49 PM | Hmm. I see... ok [Alagos drinks a potion down and gets ready to go into the fray] Alagos throws off his robes to show a very well armored body , but just as soon as this is seen he quickly pulls a sting and the armor drops from his chest. There is a hole where his heart should be (( metaphorically and literally )) but he bleeds not a drop. He lowers his sword and begins his charge but before reaching the beast, he veers to the right jumping with one foot off of a tree and into the darkness of the branches. |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 10:54 PM | SERIOUSLY HALFBREED! Ryan laughs. Like I did not prepare for your escape to the shadows? All the remaining light gathers in the wolf's fur, just as sudden a sunburst explodes from him, lighting up the forest, removing the shadows. Tracing the bloodsucker by scent and sound, he soon finds him, near the top of the tree, waiting. WIth a great charge, Ryan batters the tree into shaking. As its roots begin to give way, he leaps, charging for his adversary. If he succeeds in getting close enough, he head butt hims into the nearest tree, or the ground. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 10:58 PM | Alagos notices his oppenents plan but too late, he manages not to take the full brunt of the attack but he is damaged by the it. Alagos hits a small tree back first and now seeing his chance for an attack notices that the wolf is still atop the tree. He jumps forward and slashes the ever weakening roots and sends the tree toppleing doing whatever possible to his opponent. |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 11:02 PM | Knowing the tree was going down anyway, the beast of the night did nothing but allow the tree to fall, standing on top of it long enough before his jump. He hit the ground rolling, reassuming his human form as he does so. Leaping forward, rapier leading, he seeks to place the glowing blade in the shoulder of his enemy. The force behind the blow is supernaturally strong, and the blade seems more than enough enchanted, to hurt a vampire. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 11:07 PM | Unknowing of the attack until too late Alagos takes the attack staight on but, waiting for the right moment he also makes an attack to his opponent in the opposite shoulder. Alagos grunts in pain as the rapier makes its full length thru his shoulder all the time hopeing his counter would hit. |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 11:12 PM | The sword hits, yes, but no cut is made. Instead, it forces Ryan down to the ground, his sword left in the vampire. Sweeping his feet around, the boy tries to knock the vampire down, before kicking him again, sending him flying into the trees again. Taking wolf form again, the Veran, call his sword back in a howl. It leaves the shoulder of the wounded creature, where it arrives in front of the wolf. Licking the blade clean of blood, the purebred werewolf/vampire can see where the Vampire's heart is. Clever, hiding your heart in the back of your head, where it's near impossible to reach. And not bad, working on your neck bones to avoid beheading. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 11:22 PM | Alagos swiftly jumps up and back away from the sweeping attack. Landing he says"Hm. Thank you, you will be noticing soon that the blood on your blade has garlic and silver in it, thanks to that potion of mine , but I am sure that means nothing to you. So this will have to do." Alagos runs quickly to the place where Ryan stands and attempts to cut down and across Ryans chest. If it hits it sends him rolling to the ground. |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 11:36 PM | Well, a potion designed to harm both of my aspects. Had you caught me 600 years ago, I might have been harmed. While chatting, the boy took and braced against the sword attack, taking human form in a flash, the rapier parrying away the sword. Throwing his own sword, having knocked it out of the combatants hands, he says: Why don't we fight claw to fang, Alagos? I'm sure that you are experienced with hunt methods. He smiles wickedly, before punching the younger vampire hard enough to break a tree. With that punch, Ryan sprouted the full of his fangs and claws, without resuming wolf form. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 11:44 PM | AHHH! The punch landed where expected but without much effect. Whooo wee thats a strong punch you got there but, I have learned something in my short existence on this earth... how to take a punch. Alagos retaliates by giving into the blow and making Ryan lose his balance then when he is off guard he delivers and sharp elbow strike to Ryan's spine. |
| Lord Tarran06-29-04, 11:49 PM | Or he would have, in Ryan had been off balance. Expecting that he hadn't put nearly enough force into the wallop he had delivered, he awaited the vampire's own punch, taking the creature's arm, and throwing him. Then, while the man was in "flight," he sprang, claws leading, slashing him across the eyes. |
| Bewildered06-29-04, 11:55 PM | Alagos tries to protect his eyes but he is too slow. His left eyes is rendered completely useless. So he attempts to kick Ryan off of him, then springing to his feet and putting on a blindfold he stands ready. Alagos is now bleeding from his eyes and his mouth but seems otherwise unphased. |
| Lord Tarran06-30-04, 12:00 AM | Suddenly, the sunlight that Ryan had produced gives way to the total darkness of the forest. The werewolf/vampire disappears in the shadow, though his voice is quite clear. Well, my worthy opponent, I'm actually pleased to say that I'm suprised you have lasted this long. The last idiot who tried to fight me died before he struck me. You have not only managed to hit me, but have been clever enough to try to beat me tactically. Mind, you haven't been the most effective combatant I have combated, but you are fairly interesting. You either incredibly lucky or skilled to have kept me from taking both your eyes, and I admit I'm impressed that you didn't crumble into the woods when I punched you. What do you think, or should I just pry into your mind and find out? |
| Bewildered06-30-04, 12:03 AM | Thank you for the compliment but it is ill deserved. I am not worthy of any kind of praise from you be it sarcasm or truthfull. I would also think twice before prying into MY mind it not a safe place ... not even for me. |
| Lord Tarran06-30-04, 12:07 AM | Ill deserved, how is that? You are what, six, seven hundred years old? Barely an adult. I am past patriarch. The last I cared was a milennia ago, and I was alive many milennia before that. I have had countless centuries to build my vampiric powers, and endless years to gain and improve my Veran blood powers. But you, a half breed, have defended off my, half hearted yes, but very real, attacks. That doesn't deserve praise? His voice comes from everywhere and nowhere, as he stays hidden in the shadows. |
| Bewildered06-30-04, 12:18 AM | I didn't even deserve to fight you, I might as well been another "IDIOT" that died before he hit you. I get it now I AM just a lowly half-breed undeserving of even a life on this earth. I have lived my entire life in fear of ... people like you. Alagos is now crying from his right eye and bloody tears errupt from his left eye socket. I have lived my miserable life in terror of the one day that I may become a demon, a "vampire". So I turned to the only option left. Canabalism... the only way I could keep from becoming the thing that I hated so much , was to become a creature of evil ten fold. So I ask you Ryan Shadowborn, 1st Generation of the Shadow Fang, Patriarch of the Fallen Ones, end my pitiful existence that I call my life and let me free of my "demon". Let me be free... Alagos drops to his knees grasping his throbbing head. |
| Lord Tarran06-30-04, 12:21 AM | Oh, don't be a weasel. A vial appeared at Alagos's feet. It's a substance known as Veran Blood. It will turn you back into human, keeping some of the old vampire strengths. All you will need to do is drink the blood of the impure, better known as an evil human, once a month, to not fall to blood lust. He is still out of sight. |
| Bewildered06-30-04, 12:28 AM | Hmm. Why is it that you wish not to kill me? I have not helped you or done any good act towards you. Alagos retrieves the vile without removing the blind fold. He feels it and inspects it for a moment and then without hesitation drinks it down.[holding it in his pallet for a moment to see if it is a trick] |
