Larz_Fang 05-28-07, 06:13 AM	This is where Xarius the Demigod fled after he took control of the body of Thelron the Archsage and used his magic to attack Septimus' school of arcanists. In a given amount of time, you must stop him from escaping Sorcen's Baator. In real world time, it is the 1st of June. If you fail to deliver enough distraction, he will escape and attack the order of the Robed Mages in the world of Danaroth, and you will have to follow him there. If you succeed to keep him at bay... well, you'll see what happens only if you succeed. In a place far away from the Battle Arenas, Xarius is casting a complex spell to escape Sorcen's Baator. As he casts, the rocks around him explode, and arcs of lightning surround his body. And slowly, a portal begins to form ahead of him...

Khael 05-28-07, 05:42 PM	Overhead arcs an object, of unkown form that drops with ever-increased speed as it heads straight for Xarius's form... Before it comes up, you'd pretty much need to be a god to actually destroy the object, for reasons being kept quiet for now.
Larz_Fang 05-29-07, 03:53 AM	Well, with Thelron's power, Xarius is propably as strong as an intermediate deity. "Hah, so you actually followed me! No matter, there is still too few of you to actually make a difference!" Xarius turns around a bit, swings his right hand, deflecting the object away and igniting the feathers on fire. Then, the burning feathers change, shifting their form into several flaming arrows that stay in the air for a while. "Now get outta my way!" The arrows of fire fly then towards the giant chicken and everyone else.
dragor_shadowfury 05-29-07, 04:12 AM	As the feathers turn to arrows, Munchlord looks up and quickly inscribe a purple rune in the air. This creates a shield around him that chactes the arrows and make them land in a cirkle around him. He then continiue inscribing runes in the ground.

He then fires off a huge antimagical tangle towards the portal, followed very shortly by a supercharged dimensional lock spell and, finally, a wild sound like ten thousand nails scraping on ten thousand chalkboards.

It is Siveleth, screaming a battle cry as he flails at the demigod with Whirlwind's Blood. He stops abruptly, smiling, as he says, YOU are the one! YOU are the fiend who enslaved my people! How ironic. In one deft motion, he clasps the manacles that form his chain's handle around the fiend's wrists. Grabbing the ends, he begins to tear great pieces out of Xarius' hide with the barbed steel chain.

Siveleth's chain slashes the demigod's but it gets stuck into his flesh and only manages to do little damage. Xarius spots the object that is hurling towards him, and with a quick rise of his hand he rips the manacles away from his wrists and releases a mysterious purple energy beam that knocks the object about five miles away from him. After that, Xarius grabs the chain with supernatural speed and speaks a command word that first electrocutes it's holder and then sends the chain flying away about 60 feet behind Xarius. The demigod steps back in the face of his mighty opposition. "GRAAAGH!!! Damn you! Damn you all!!! Fine, so you managed to stop me! Big deal! It only slows me down a bit in my plans, but I want you to ask yourselves this question: Do even KNOW whom you face?!" Quickly with a few gestures, Xarius creates a transparent red shield around him. "I am stronger than ever with the power I got from that old man and you haven't even got a clue how much magic can I release with only a few WORDS!!! HAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" Laughing like psychopath, Xarius begins to gather up his arcane energies. As he calls for power from the depths of his soul, the ground shakes and trembles as rocks explode around him and the earth before cracks open revealing a great river of molten lava...
dragor_shadowfury 05-30-07, 05:50 AM	The exact rocks where Munchlord's runes were inscribed remain unaffected, and they float in the air. "I know whom I face, you need to know no more" Munchlord completes the last rune in the cirkle. The rocks with the runes then flies to retake positions around Xarius. Then they flare up briefly, and for those with the sight of the mage, lines of powerful magic energy link the runes.

Khael 05-30-07, 08:09 PM	As the purple beam strieks out, ratherthan impact, it seems to disappear, while stimultaneously, outlined in purple fire, for only a blink floats revealed, an immense wraith-like thing, standing before the shrouded figure, that flies back into the figure, which spasms again as the cry rolls out, "Оно соединяет с с!", and the shrouded thing rises up as multiple great tendriculous length, ebon as night, tipped with bony crystaline spars of deadly sharpness, extend out from its back, as working as spider legs, they ferry the expanded mass towards Xarius, extending out to strike at the shield, pointed spikes traversing the ruptured ground perfectly, a newly formed 'face' like an ancient half-faced mask, glares balefully at the prey, from above its shrouded host... And no one use the phase 'it would take a god or Primal to have absorbed that purple beam'...

I'll edit that but keep such n00bish comments like that out of this thread in the future. "What the hell is that?! Take this!" Having charged himself up, Xarius concentrates his power towards the massive wraith-thingy and releases it in the form of an orange, black-centered orb of fire that then flies at an incredible velocity towards it's target and ready to detonate itself. Then, with a single command word, Xarius creates another shield that while surrounding the demigod emulates itself into the form of Xarius' body. You know what that means, Khael. Nuklear Power! One mushroom cloud coming right up!

All the energy is blasting inwards in a cylender with the runes just outside the peremiter, enveloping Xarius. "we can't have you making such havoc now can we?"

"I am Septimus Magistos, the seventh son of a seventh son for seven generations, Supreme Spellcaster of the Kingdom of Nor, the undefeated champion of the Arcane Games, Saviour of the World, Slayer of Gobnor. I have seen the essence of Chaos, Order, and Magic. I have held all the gods at my mercy and let them off only after much pleading and a deal. I have traveled across planes and realities to arrive here. Do you truly think that I'm going to just let an overgrown demigod disrupt my school, attack my new home, and threaten all that is good? Think again!" The staff becomes fully charged with a twang felt rather than heard.

Khael 06-02-07, 07:06 PM	The shroud-wraith thing continoues its onslaught against Xarius' shield, breaknig though the first shield wall, to come against the second shield-layer, tatters of dark 'material' now definately visible like a half-cloak. If it hears Septimus' warning it clearly doesn't care as there is no lessening in the assault.

dragor_shadowfury 06-03-07, 07:09 AM	Well, there is no need to keep distance, just keep out of the rune shield. It will keep the energies on the inside. The runes you have been given allow your attacks to enter but not to leave again.

Larz_Fang 06-12-07, 09:45 AM	Sorry, I was banned for using the Internet for a while. "Grrr! Enough of this!!! GRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAGHH!!!" As the attacks made againts Xarius hit him, he yells even louder. And with every hit he seems to grow bigger, and when he finally stops, he stands twenty feet tall and looks more demonic than ever. "What part of TAKE THIS DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!!? THIS IS WHAT I THINK OF YOUR PRECIOUS RUNES YOU SO IGNORANTLY PLACED!!!" Then, the demigod raises both of his hands, gathering his mystical arcane energies to them and releasing it in a massive onslaught of strange green flames that burns the ground away and destroys much of the scribed runes of the Munchlord. After most of the runes have died away, Xarius unleashes the same green fire towards his opponents, but takes Septimus as his primary target.

((I promise, there is a (simple) way of doing this, a spell directly designed for this... If memory serves it is in PHB, but cut out the destruction spells, they won't do any good.))

dragor_shadowfury 06-13-07, 04:56 AM	As the shroud thing charge Xarius, it slams into the rune barrier. "Sorry, I haven't granted you passage yet" Munchlord then flies at it, inscribe some runes in the air with a wand of darkwood, they then flies in and attach themselves to the creature.
Khael 06-13-07, 02:34 PM	But rather than let them stick, flickering sheathes of 'cloth' enwrap the runes apssing them to the mask-maw, which swiftly disassembles them, before turnnig to the rune barrier which it paws at, tentively at first with a spike, then firmer, before drving in towards the barrier, 'mouth' first, drawing in the power as it shatters runes, near instantly disengaging from the figure with a scream, dropping the body to the ground as its flickers out, leaving four small figures, who blink slowly stretching immense mouths across their faces as their flee, bodies stretching as they go...

If you haven't noticed previously, it's: 1) Siphoned off heckofaloada magic from Endeca's spell in the IC1. 2) Already eaten bits of two shields placed by Xarius. 3) Ate a beam attack from Xarius And each time its expanded in 'physical' size. But since I don't want to explain its nature too far at this point... It was weakened badly at one point, now its drawing on every ounce of background power it can to reform.))

You can do what you want with the runes given to you (although Munchlord can overrule it), but the runes in the barrier is in Munchlords control, and you wont be able to do anything to them without Munchlord's permission unless the cirkle is broken... for which there are means as well))

You fight him wrong! He doesn't care of..." "Silence yourself, pathetic fool!" With quick raise of his hand, Xarius sends a blue bolt of energy towards Grugol. The golem swiftly deflects it away. "We must not fight him as a... a group! No! Only one of us can challenge and defeat him!"

And it cannot be stopped by anyone but Grugol, because of... well you'll see... "I know why your attack just make him stronger. It is because he is... umm... protected by big magic that none of us couldn't even hope to possess. Grugol was linked with Thelron and he say that when Xarius took his body, he found out all of his secret magic stuff. That is why the only way to defeat the demigod is to have only one of us fight him." "Grraaagh!!! Damn you, you brainless little piece of meat! I'll rend your flesh for this!!!" And then, Xarius launches his massive body towards his foes ready to tear flesh from bone with his claws.

It is only fair that Septimus should fight him, as his magic school was mostly destroyed and this is the perfect oppuriunity for vengance. That, and he has powers rivaling most of us." The Thri-Kreen is now in a defensive stance, ready to deflect any incoming blows.

SeptimusMagistos 06-24-07, 11:39 AM	OOC: All right, since there were no other volunteers, I'm going to assume that Septimus has been chosen to battle Xarius. BIC: Septimus takes one final look at the amulet and then starts chanting. As he chants, the amulet begins to glow, then shine. By the end it radiates blinding light. Throughout the chanting he keeps slipping into different languages, but the final verse is heard by everyone in whatever language is the most native to them. "So that I may serve the Light With this talisman by my side For remainder of this fight Fill me with Good's pure might!" Septimus then put on the amulet and instantly began to change. His hair and teeth were already white. Now his whole face became snow-white as well. His robes became bleached, his shoes turned white, even his staff changed color. The gem at its top changed its radiance to match that of the amulet. In a minute, Septimus's entire body became so white and pure that a laundry detergent manufacturer somewhere far, far away fell down and cried in awe. Septimus then turned to Xarius and pronounced a new chant. "From darkness unto light Annihilate this blight." Tendrils of pure light extended to Xarius and he felt like the Cosmos itself began to tear at him, attempting to get rid of him and his impurity. OOC: Sorry I have to use white color for Septimus's speech. Usually I prefer easily readable colors.
Larz_Fang 07-04-07, 07:19 AM	Xarius begins to swell as Septimus' magic takes effect. "WHAT? GRAAARGHHHH!!!!" Then, the demigod's body starts to get ripped in two, with several wounds opening in the area of his body where he is getting split in two. His tainted blood flies through the air as his massive body is broken in half. "RAAAGHAHAAAAAARGGHHHH!!! NOOO!!! THISSS... ISSS... NOTT... THE ENDAAARGHHAAAAA!!!!!!" Finally, when the two pieces are entirely separate, the two halves of Xarius shatter into several other pieces that fall into the ground and stay there for a while. Not the first time that Baator's ground is covered in tainted blood. It seems to everybody that Xarius has fallen...
SeptimusMagistos 07-04-07, 11:48 AM	Septimus smirked remembering Xarius's return. "Let this taint be cleaned So the healing may begin." More light came forth, this time trying to clear every trace of Xarius, including every piece and every particle of blood.
Larz_Fang 07-05-07, 10:12 AM	The pieces and the blood start to dissipate one by one, gaining more and more momentum with each dissipating particle of Xarius. In the end, only one singular piece of flesh remains of the demigod, but for some time it resists Septimus' magic, refusing to disappear completely. As Septimus increases his spell's power, the piece still does not seem to vanish. A little amount of blood escapes from the piece of Xarius' flesh, and suddenly everybody realizes that it keeps getting darker and darker until finally it is blacker than the darkest piece of obsidian. The blood seems to be absorbed by the ground, and then it happens. A dark, hideous, portal-like hole suddenly forms to the place of the blood puddle into the ground. The hole sucks the last remaining piece of Xarius' flesh into itself and keeps getting bigger and bigger, swallowing more material to itself as it grows. Grugol becomes paniced as the golem sees the hole. "AAAH!!! It's The Void !!! Xarius opened The Void !!! We must RUN AWAAYYY!!!" And instantly when he stops speaking, the golem turns towards Septimus' School of Magic and starts running as fast as he can.

Larz_Fang 07-06-07, 04:20 AM	As he runs, Grugol digs a small, murky potion from one of his pockets in his trousers. "GAAAHH!!! FASTER!!!" He stops his running suddenly, drinks the potion ultra-fastly, and then throws the empty bottle away. Then, he begins to run towards the magic school four times as fast as he did before while screaming: "AWAAAAAAYYYY!!!"

No, no-ones expected to understand a thing the wraith-thing says. It did come from another world, so this worldscommon is... uncommon to it.
