03-17-08, 09:21 PM ooc: this is my new quest thread, anyone can join, anytime if you want, no prior experience needed.

in a valley between great mountans lies a simple monastery. it is little more than a artificial plateau with surounding walls. the surrounding village is in flames. inside a battle has been raging 50 students armed with various weapons stand together as a fury magus laughing hiddiously with his oversised sharp-toothed mouth, and three mobs step through the gateway. many students litter the stone ground, as well as several mobs. it is clear the wariors will loose this fight. it begins to rain. the rain picks up. lightning arcs across the sky. sudenly, as the magus raises his arms and begins to roar, a bolt of lightning slams into his face, crushing him like a paper cup. master mian gou stands on top of the evicerated creature.
a young man wearing training robes made from animal furslands behind one mob, grabs him by reaching backwards, and hurls him away. his fingers have grown green claws.
the mob gets up, snarls, then dies of his seemingly minor wounds

03-18-08, 10:17 AM A cloaked being blurs towards the third mob. A clawed rat-like foot escapes the bottom of the cloak and strikes the mob's chest. At the same time as the kick connects with the mob, the cloak flies back to reveal the attacker. It is indeed a black furred ratman is beneath the cloak. His eyes are red and he wears tight leather armor now. A smile spreads across his face as he swings his clawed hand at the mob, the knife-like hand accelerates faster then should be possible and hits with enough force to bury itself deep into the mob's skull. Before it can be fully registered that the ratman struck the mob, his hand is back by his side.

The mob falls to the ground with an escaping groan from its dying body. Smoke cocks his head sideways, ears twitching until the heartbeat stops. The ratman turns back to Mian Gou and the others, confident that the mob has died. He begins to pull his cloak back over him as he looks over the students.

one of the students steps forward. and points with his weapon at lunoc, who had been slowly walking along the temple wall

"wait, you! your lunoc! you were banished from this place! "
he advances but mian gou speaks
no! he would kill you like a small dog. lunoc has turned from his old ways, he is assisting me.

03-18-08, 06:28 PM Smoke finishes pulling his cloak around him as he watches the events. He nods to Lunoc as the damwulf comes into view.

realy what gave me away.
he looks at his clawed hands.
ahh... right
as he talks his clothes seem to merge with his body, becoming black fur. his transformation is sudden, is seconds he is a damwulf once again

mian gou walks away from the gate towards the back wall. this area is clear from the buildings in which students live. as he reaches the wall, it seems to melt away. a white archway springs from the ground, and stairs upward begin forming in front of him. they form as he walks.

03-19-08, 04:36 PM A cold wind rushes through the area and stepping out of nowhere is a true genasi. He has short white hair and eyes filled with all the elements swirling within them. He is large and very muscular. His face has a cold expression on it. He has a huge greatsword strapped to his back and two guns strapped at his side. He has light blue hakama, he also has light blue sashes covering his fists up to his shoulders and then they cover his whole chest. He looks around the area and the whole area seems to shake. Who is the leader of this area?

the stairs lead upward into the mountans, untill an large stone watchtower comes into veiw, where they level off thousands of feet above the ground.

mian gou spins around to face the newcomer.

i am master mian gou, elder spirit, what is your purpose here?

blades appear in lunoc's hands and he assumes a fighting stance but mian gou moves in front of him

The man's facial expression doesnt change if anything it grows colder. The air around them seems to freeze sucking out the heat out of everyone. I was brought here by something what I dont know. He looks around and then back at the two who seem ready to attack. I have no weapon drawn you could at least control yourselves before something gets out of hand...I dont think you would want your precious arms broke now would you? My name is Tempest Blackmoon and what is this place?

this tower was built long ago by human explorers, i happened across it when building my monastery. there is somthing there i think you should see

lunoc waits for a moment, looking at tempest, then continues walking, his blades fading away

03-19-08, 05:19 PM Tempest follows just looking around taking in everything. He seems to like to know what his surroundings are by just watching him. He just follows the sprit and keeps an eye on Lunoc.

03-19-08, 11:13 PM Tempest looks at the hand and reaches his out greeting him in what looks to be a warriors handshake. Tempest Blackmoon at your service. It is also nice to meet you. Tempest notices the shiver and lessons his aura and replaces it with a warm feeling nothing harmful more of a comfort. He continues to follow the group.

The shadow blurs into the shape of a human woman, dressed in all black, even a black masklin covering her face from the nose down. Her eyes, one red one silver, and shiny pink hair clearly show she is more than human. "Well, well. And just where might you fancy people be headed?"

03-22-08, 11:12 AM Smoke's ears twitch as the shadow woman appears. He is not startled as she silently sneaks upon them and queries them. "According to Master Mian Gou, we are headed to the tower in the distance, I'm sure you are welcome to follow us."

the tower is lit by streams of light pouring in the broken walls. the old master leads the group through several corridors, through a tunnel and finaly into a room with a surface blasted as if with fire. verry old and burnt skelotons in posisions of aggony litter the floor. engraved in every surface in the metal room, even on some of the bones, are strange letters. the same sentance in an uninteligible language.

the mobs, those beasts that attacked my monastery, are failed attempts by devils to create somthing much older, and powerfull. humans, once attempted to do the same, thankfully they failed. you see their fate before you. but somehow, the nine devils have created somthing, some abbomination that spawns these mobs. if they manage to refine the procces, a creature will be born with power enough to chalenge all of mortal, imortal, and even godly life. you must destroy this object before that happens

the walls seem to slowly move, like water pushing slowly upward.

there is still a trace of that energy here, enough to follow anyway. the trail is weak, but you should be able to track it within a hundred miles.

03-29-08, 04:23 PM (No Tempest can follow anytime of energy with his True sight vision. Its a special ability we made up for one of our games. It slows everything down for him and he can see everything as it truly is.I should of said something about it in the first place i had his eyes glow lol)

Tempest continues moving he only stops to see if everyone is following him as he moves.

04-04-08, 07:39 PM Smoke half leaps into the air and as soon as his feet touch the ground, he blurs and disappears. He catches up to Lunoc and keeps pace. As they run at supersonic speeds, Smoke calls out to the damwulf. "Should I go back and help the other two track you to our destination?"

"I can give you two a lift if you like, I'm sure if you want to take your time that wont be a problem either though. Lunoc and I just travel a bit fast." He says to them as politely as he can.

04-07-08, 09:23 PM Hmm ok well give me one more second if your moving that fast I might need to change my training more. Tempest stops and reaches into his bag pulling out bracers,leg bands and other things. They are a thick silverly,white and red metal with blue aquan symbols carved into them. He begins putting them on and once all are on the ground around him cracks and he falls into the ground a bit more.He speaks in his usual cold manner.Please forgive me but if your moving that fast I need to put more weights on. I dont need help I am and elemental monk and my fathers have granted me the power of the elements. Thank you for the offer but I cant have myself helped it isnt against you it is my training habbits.He begins to burst into speed facing in and out as if there are hundreds of him and he sprints forward after everyone gets everything settled.

when they arive to where lunoc was, there is nothing there. suddenly, lunoc crashes through a tree, hits the ground once but rolls onto his feet.
a huge (size catagory) black pit fiend knocks over several trees with a glowing maul on his way to lunoc. he wears light plate armor with better joints so he can cast. he swings the hammer through a tree trunk in his way
come back here! im not done with you yet welp!
lunoc dissapears, his soulblades forming in his hands.
the big fiend grabs his side out of reflex, like he was bitten by a bug. doing this, he drops his hammer on his foot. he roars in pain.
the damwulf (lunoc) laughs at him and shouts mockingly
whats the matter xalax? you seem tired, you need rest, i cant imagine what its been like for you, sleeping in a cave with nothing to eat
a ray of energy cuts lunoc off, knocking him several yards away. xalax (pit fiend) goes to retrive his hammer from the ground. (it ended up near the group)

04-08-08, 09:20 PM Smoke nods to Tempest, "No problem." The ratman turns as Lunoc crashes through the tree. He blurs from view and appears near Xalax, crouched and hidden to the fiend's left. Smoke waits for an opportune moment before attacking.

04-09-08, 07:11 AM Smoke listens until Xalax is into position, he then darts out from behind his tree. His urumi leaps into existence, slashing at the giant pit fiend's leg even before the blade appeared completely. The intricate dance of the blade aims for the fiend's gastrocnemius (muscle on the back side of the leg, opposite the shin, I may be wrong in the name though).

04-09-08, 06:16 PM xalax grabs his leg and shouts. he looks at smoke and shouts an incantation. the ground below smoke appears to melt, turning to tar.

04-09-08, 07:39 PM Smoke senses the ground below him changing. He tries to run but his feet hold fast in the sticky tar. The ratman begins to panic but calms himself. He meditates and his legs begin to blur, the tar liquifies and falls away, releasing its hold on Smoke. Smoke disappears and the tar parts as if thrown forcefully upwards. The ratman appears hidden behind trees once again, waiting for his next moment.

04-10-08, 11:46 PM Tempest disappears and a cold wind blows through the terrain. Tempest appears in the air holding his foot up to his head and he comes crashing down letting go of his leg straight at the pit fiends head. Your in our way abomination now leave before we destroy you....

abomination! you call me an abomination you half mortal waterling!

lunoc recoveres and slams into xalax a supersonic speed, making him let go of tempest's leg and pushing him backwards.

05-16-08, 11:19 PM Smoke zips from behind his cover and charges at Xalax. Multiple sonicbooms erupt as he swings his fist at the fiend's stomach. As his punch lashes out, he turns his body in a way that allows his other arm to attempt to smash Xalax's leg at the knee.

a large figure stands beside a tree. legion was watching the fight for, who knows how long. he has new clothes, travelers clothes of good quality. his strange eyes move slower, they seem glazed over.
well, i knew i couldn't expect sorcen, so i guess you people will have to do. smoke, put down xalax, he might be useful.

a giant rolling, boiling, mass is being tended by mobs. a woman can be seen standing on a ridge, supervising the work. she is heavily armored, but carries no weapons. the mobs snarl in approval as more of there kind are churned forth. another group of the creatures are leading a line of mortal slaves to the cyst, were they throw them in.
the woman raises her hands
brothers! do not loose strength! soon the fool asemodus will be dead, no longer giving us orders. our supreme ruler is near, every moment brings him closer to creation. do not fear the traitor, he will be crushed beneath us!
the mobs roar and double their work

legion silently appears
i am partly to blame for this. if i had not been blind, if i had seen what was happening... none of this...

lunoc 03-27-08, 08:25 PM	mian gou stands in the center of the room, facing the others the mobs, those beasts that attacked my monastery, are failed attempts by devils to create somthing much older, and powerfull. humans, once attempted to do the same, thankfully they failed. you see their fate before you. but somehow, the nine devils have created somthing, some abbomination that spawns these mobs. if they manage to refine the procces, a creature will be born with power enough to chalenge all of mortal, imortal, and even godly life. you must destroy this object before that happens the walls seem to slowly move, like water pushing slowly upward. there is still a trace of that energy here, enough to follow anyway. the trail is weak, but you should be able to track it within a hundred miles.

Aqua 03-29-08, 04:23 PM	(No Tempest can follow anytime of energy with his True sight vision. Its a special ability we made up for one of our games. It slows everything down for him and he can see everything as it truly is.I should of said something about it in the first place i had his eyes glow lol) Tempest continues moving he only stops to see if everyone is following him as he moves.

As they run at supersonic speeds, Smoke calls out to the damwulf. "Should I go back and help the other two track you to our destination?"

"I can give you two a lift if you like, I'm sure if you want to take your time that wont be a problem either though. Lunoc and I just travel a bit fast." He says to them as politely as he can.

Tempest stops and reaches into his bag pulling out bracers,leg bands and other things. They are a thick silverly,white and red metal with blue aquan symbols carved into them. He begins putting them on and once all are on the ground around him cracks and he falls into the ground a bit more.He speaks in his usual cold manner.Please forgive me but if your moving that fast I need to put more weights on. I dont need help I am and elemental monk and my fathers have granted me the power of the elements. Thank you for the offer but I cant have myself helped it isnt against you it is my training habbits.He begins to burst into speed facing in and out as if there are hundreds of him and he sprints forward after everyone gets everything settled.
lunoc 04-08-08, 08:57 PM	(he puts on weights... to go faster?) when they arive to where lunoc was, there is nothing there. suddenly, lunoc crashes through a tree, hits the ground once but rolls onto his feet. a huge (size catagory) black pit fiend knocks over several trees with a glowing maul on his way to lunoc. he wears light plate armor with better joints so he can cast. he swings the hammer through a tree trunk in his way come back here! im not done with you yet welp! lunoc dissapears, his soulblades forming in his hands. the big fiend grabs his side out of reflex, like he was bitten by a bug. doing this, he drops his hammer on his foot. he roars in pain. the damwulf (lunoc) laughs at him and shouts mockingly whats the matter xalax? you seem tired, you need rest, i cant imagine what its been like for you, sleeping in a cave with nothing to eat a ray of energy cuts lunoc off, knocking him several yards away. xalax (pit fiend) goes to retrive his hammer from the ground. (it ended up near the group)
Sorcen_Anenooata 04-08-08, 09:20 PM	Smoke nods to Tempest, "No problem." The ratman turns as Lunoc crashes through the tree. He blurs from view and appears near Xalax, crouched and hidden to the fiend's left. Smoke waits for an opportune moment before attacking.

Sorcen_Anenooata 04-09-08, 07:11 AM	Smoke listens until Xalax is into position, he then darts out from behind his tree. His urumi leaps into existence, slashing at the giant pit fiend's leg even before the blade appeared completely. The intricate dance of the blade aims for the fiend's gastrocnemius (muscle on the back side of the leg, opposite the shin, I may be wrong in the name though).
lunoc 04-09-08, 06:16 PM	xalax grabs his leg and shouts. he looks at smoke and shouts an incantation. the ground below smoke appears to melt, turning to tar.
Sorcen_Anenooata 04-09-08, 07:39 PM	Smoke senses the ground below him changing. He tries to run but his feet hold fast in the sticky tar. The ratman begins to panic but calms himself. He meditates and his legs begin to blur, the tar liquifies and falls away, releasing its hold on Smoke. Smoke disappears and the tar parts as if thrown forcefully upwards. The ratman appears hidden behind trees once again, waiting for his next moment.
Aqua 04-10-08, 11:46 PM	Tempest disappears and a cold wind blows through the terrain. Tempest appears in the air holding his foot up to his head and he comes crashing down letting go of his leg straight at the pit fiends head. Your in our way abomination now leave before we destroy you....
lunoc 04-11-08, 04:38 PM	xalax catches tempest's leg in middair, and uses his momentum to slam him towards the ground. abomination! you call me an abomination you half mortal waterling! lunoc recoveres and slams into xalax a supersonic speed, making him let go of tempest's leg and pushing him backwards. lunoc lands besides tempest
Aqua 04-14-08, 05:01 PM	You have a temper why do most abominations like you have them?Tempest disappears and reappers behind Xalax and flurries into him hitting him 60 times in certain spots on his body he begins to feel with each strike Tempest is trying to shatter his bones.

Sorcen_Anenooata 05-16-08, 11:19 PM	Smoke zips from behind his cover and charges at Xalax. Multiple sonicbooms erupt as he swings his fist at the fiend's stomach. As his punch lashes out, he turns his body in a way that allows his other arm to attempt to smash Xalax's leg at the knee.
lunoc 05-23-08, 06:46 PM	xalax grabs his leg (the same knee that was broken by legion). arhh, you lowsy- xalax raises a fist full of lightning, but stops. he looks over to the left, shocked. a large figure stands beside a tree. legion was watching the fight for, who knows how long. he has new clothes, travelers clothes of good quality. his strange eyes move slower, they seem glazed over. well, i knew i couldn't expect sorcen, so i guess you people will have to do. smoke, put down xalax, he might be useful. xalax limps forward because of you i have lost everything! my armies, my fortress, my knee! what makes you think ill help you? because, i can give all you have lost back, once your old master, that dirt that tricked me asemodus, is dead there will be nothing in your way.

"Legion, hes some powerful outsider slaying force that wants to kill Asmo. Xalax, one of the pit fiends working for Asmo kinda. Lunoc, well you know him."

lunoc 06-21-08, 02:36 PM	( wow, sorry for my long absence, this thread has been giving me some problems) the cyst a giant rolling, boiling, mass is being tended by mobs. a woman can be seen standing on a ridge, supervising the work. she is heavily armored, but carries no weapons. the mobs snarl in approval as more of there kind are churned forth. another group of the creatures are leading a line of mortal slaves to the cyst, were they throw them in. the woman raises her hands brothers! do not loose strength! soon the fool asemodus will be dead, no longer giving us orders. our supreme ruler is near, every moment brings him closer to creation. do not fear the traitor, he will be crushed beneath us! the mobs roar and double their work legion silently appears i am partly to blame for this. if i had not been blind, if i had seen what was happening... none of this...
