So, There was a person on the CO boards who had asked
"What would anyone do with twenty colossal scorpions at your beck and call?"
"That's cute, I guess. Now what to do with this army? Especially since you probably can't take 20 colossal scorpions with you into a dungeon..."

So I decided get ideas as to what one does when you have immense power.
Here's my conquest 101 guide, still open though for suggestions, including more steps, or extrapolations.

This is the step by step, slow method. Many can skip steps, but I figure spell it out.

Amen to world conquest. But why stop there?

There are basic goals for any conquistador

Make money making scheme,
(theives guild, bandits, money laundering, loan sharking)

Build yourself a sizable strike force
(to raid military and well defended caravans)

Gain control of kingdom
(assassination, coup, betrayal)

Gain more power
(brainwashing [nazism/fascism], deal for undead army or any other supposedly unstoppable force, artifact of ancient and unimaginable power)

World Conquest
(Use new power to bulldoze every other nation into shame and fear)

Consolidate and gain more power
(same as previous, except less limited by geography, form your own fanatically devoted elite force, create police state to weed out revolutionary elements, setup up decent economically thriving bureaucracy to placate the rest and win friends,[corporations])

Gain control of a plane
[I'm not sure if material plane is limited to one planet, and I'm going to assume it's going to be difficult to come up with the amount of money to build your own Star Destroyer (TB made a great economics scheme to get one if you really want)
Otherwise, conquer another plane, suppress whichever diety rules there, bind his minions to your will, etc

Consolidate, rinse, repeat

Conquer major planes, including heaven and hell.

Any time once you start conquering planes and can, start working on ways to gain divine ranks.

Become A high ranking god

Get everyone to worship you. Consider using same scam as the Ori (stargate)
Bind Gods to your will and prevent any mortal or divine hand from being able to influence or hurt you.

Consider expanding to other dimensions, but I think multiplanar is good enough

Go to Tsuyokientu (Apologies, I just cannot spell that name)'s sig and find the link to his build compendium. Search for "remembers". You'll come up with a link to the thread where he shows you how to build a star destroyer using D&D. That has some nice stuff on both wealth and cohorts.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very familair with his builds, as well some of the basic god powers, pun pun, hive, etc

I was talking about a more situational description how to take over the universe from the approximate ower of a 5 level character for starters. Perhaps consider gaining 2 levels for every goal you achieve.
The major power of characters is from their support base, ie the army and from those they control.

I'm not looking for build help. I'm looking for conquest help.
Advice on army coordination, sealing deities.
Plots, Plans, to take over towns, kingdoms, planes.

It involves roleplaying elements, but you end up with needing to know things like, how many casters does it take to put a gaes on a lich?
Besides, it's just fun musings.

I laid out what I thought were basic goals to achieve.

On another note, are there specific rules for upkeep, maintenance. equiping, and leveling of an army?
