Darkhole Inn: List of Gods in the coming War (Darkhole and temple up) [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-05-05, 02:23 PM A grand war for the sake of Toril is happening beneath the surface. Asmodeus, king of Hell, has declared open war on the Realms, and the Darkhole Inn, home of Christopher Seluneson, is to be the bastion for the gods in their war against Asmodeus and the drow city he uses as his home base. The following is a list of the gods that will use the Darkhole as their base. Remember, the Darkhole near a wall in a MASSIVE cave. Size in no object for the armies that are to be gated in. If you are interested in joining this war, please join the Darkhole in character thread. Take note of the gods, who will begin to arrive sometime at around 9ish EST on Monday night. If you have suggestions for gods, please send me thier name, and their info, and I'll consider it.

03-06-05, 02:24 PM Savras is staying on the sideline, at least for the beginning. Being of both fate and balance, Savras needs to see what is happening before he gets too involved.

Nobanion is a personal friend of Christopher.

03-07-05, 09:47 PM Actually, if you want to be technical about it, Kelemvor wouldn't necessarily be involved, either. Being the Judge of the Dead, and thus being neutral, he wouldn't necessarily desire the need to get involved, unless there were massive hordes of undead.
For that matter, I fail to see why some of these other gods would be involved, too. Then again, I fail to see the point in threads with all epic characters with the whole Faerunian pantheon of Gods fighting with them...but, you know, that's just me.

03-07-05, 09:57 PM Ok sorry, was grounded AGAIN!!!!! Now I am back for good after a long talk with my family.... NO MORE GROUNDINGS!!! Anways, count Illuminadus and Duke Geltrude in on this....all things considered :D

03-07-05, 10:29 PM I must agree with Khaira, Tarran. It's kind of ridiculous the way you used your assortment of Deities. For example Deneir, goddess of luck,and Mielekki, are all patrons of nature, with all peaceful intentions. Why in the Nine Hells would they leave for the Underdark? I'm not even going to go into Sune, Goddess of love, beauty, and passion. And why wouldn't Lady Lolth be in here? After all the underdark is her domain. Nothing personal, I'm just trying to give some constructive criticism.

03-07-05, 10:38 PM Actually Khaira, the prescence of the gods is just another means for players to join both Darkhole and Black Gate Inns. I felt that it was a nice plot twist. If you are worried about me RPing lots of gods, please don't. The only one that I will play is Selune and Shar (which is still a maybe) plus the godlings of Chris, John, and Eletia. I might, emphasis on might, play Mystra and Oghma, but only for a plot twist, that may or may not be needed.

The reason I decided Kelemvor was to get involved was because of Asmodeus stepping over his bounds. In Faerun, as I'm sure you're aware, Kelemvor made a deal with all the planar beings that they made recruit the mortals, and what not, but can't conquer Toril in order to gain more. Since Asmodeus is directly disregarding this agreement, Kelemvor is stepping in.

Khaira, and anyone else who cares, I'm aware that the Darkhole, and possibly the Black Gate, will be inns of epics, which was never my orignal intention, just how things turned out. Illuminadus gave me the great idea of a massive war between Asmodeus and the Gods. Me, being sick and stuck at home at the time, had the time to go through the Faerun God Book, adding gods as I went. I thought it would be a great way to get many more people involved, and make the Darkhole and Black Gate setting out points for many adventures, connected to the war or not.

I may open a third thread, an inn out of the drow city which Asmodeus is using as a base.

Does everyone understand? Now, I have a question. I would like to arbiter this massive war, but only if other people are interested in it. Essentially, I'd be score keeper, and manager of the home bases. My cameras would never unfocus from the three inns, though I do have a char waiting in the wings in hopes of joining an adventurer thread not of my making.

Do people think that this is a good idea?

Deneir and Mielekki I decided to have hop in mostly for the chance it would give for druids and rangers to hop in from the surface world, as well as their connections to Selune and Chauntea, and therefore Christopher.

Sune is joining, maybe, in order to defend Love, Beauty and Passion. You might have forgotten, but Sune is a greater diety, and therefore has some considerable power, and forces, on the Matierial plane. She probably won't join though, not sure yet. The reason that Lady Lolth, all the evil dieties, and the underdark dieties aren't up is because I haven't the time to set up those lists, as reflected in me putting if off for the moment in the Black Gate Inn. I'll do it Friday when I have the proper time.
