Hi everyone.

This if the first story I'll DM on the boards, and I hope you will like it. I called it "Clue" because it will be, in some way, like the Clue game. The PCs (you) will be invited to resolve a deaththat happened in a brothel.

The setting is Forgotten Realms. Any class is okay with me, but I have a bug with abilities that may grant you instant replies. (The point of this game will be to discover the cause of the death. Hence, a simple spell such as hypnosis can give away a lot of vital information.)

I'D like to have every character presented here before the game starts, along with its race, appearance and a little history/background. It may give me ideas, or help me designs something specific for some characters, or just picture how things will happen in the future. . I also may use emails to give you special informations. If your mail is not in your profile, it would be a good idea to put it in this thread, but is not required.

I thought about posting the "Clue" thread around tomorrow morning, just so that I ceate a little setting beforehand.

Ho yeah...as it is my first experience DMing online, I accept comments and critics from more experienced posters, as long as they are constructive. (Don't tell me I railroad the PCs : tell me how not to railroad them, as an example.)

Okay, that's it. For any question, you may just click the little "email myranthor" button down there.

Agudo the man of Light himself in a brothel:rofl: :blush: well this should be fun!:cool: ......{Example}

"But, But.....Sir!.....I had know Idea.......when she was screaming Yes! Oh YES!.......... I thought the good....um lady anyway..... Needed help, thats why I opened the door..... (PUNCH)

As Agudo lay on the ground, flat on his back he slowly spoke....
"Was it something I said?"

Ya I m in!

Ok, did it backwards. Posted first then gave my chracter discription here. Won't be my first mistake, won't be the last.

Ok, Sirth is a lot like my Beth character over in The Siege. He's dragon trapped in human form, knows no spells once so ever and relies on his wits and skill to do things. He dresses in a simple cloak and travlers clothing, nothing he wears or does gives away the fact he's a dragon.

Yo, it took me a while to find the ooc thread, so forgive my slowness.
Anyway, i'ma play Seasutuil Oivoronda, who comes from the easternmost part of Cormanthor, and from the time before the fall of Myth Drannor and the Drow infestation. He actually missed the whole period, due to planar travel... he may even be ignorant of the Retreat.

For the last century and a half he lived in a different prime world known as Dyverside, where he got by means of planewalking. He arrives at the scene of your campaign after his curiosity led him to face, and almost defeat, a powerfull evil wizard, whose desperate wild surge eventually brought Seasutuil hence.

He had one living comrade left, so perhaps the battle was still won, but Oiovoronda will only discover that if, and when, he returns to Dyverside.

By the way, what's the deal with Agudo's flashbacks? Do they integrate into the plot at any place?
Myranthor

07-19-03, 01:19 PM
Not at all. I guess he just decided it would add some fun in the game if he did that. And, as I have nothing against it, I just play along. It also gives all of you some chances at discovering the people in the building during their normal life, or before the death occurs.

Cool, good idea!

Heh, i loved the way that human who** called my seven-hundred years old char "Young man" hihi!
He's almost in a stupor now, by the way. He didn't expect to find himself back in realspace, although he missed it alot... and now he's gonna be in even a greater stupor as soon as he hears the events he missed...

Fmm, i ponder if anyone reads the links to char descriptions i leave here and in the other adventure i'm in
Myranthor

07-23-03, 04:57 PM
I just did for Seasutuil. Perhaps I will for Shakta too...No, i won't. It is better to keep ignorant, if you want to discover a character (at least, it is how I see it).

Myranthor, remembering he called Seasutuil Dlaeh in his last post and going to edit!

I strongly agree on that

As to Dlaeh... he's a low-level character in the Realms, and a demigod in the Dyverside... go figure...

08-01-03, 02:38 PM
hihihi... Agudo mentioned "faithfullness" to Oiovoronda.... if my char wasn't so much against pettyness, he'd probably offer the mage to translate his lastname to common...

Deamn, it's really hard protecting my char's viewes when they're opposed to my own... but if i plaied a char more closely resembling my own personality, i'd have to ask myself what the sod is he doing in a brothel...

08-09-03, 01:47 PM
First post on the wizards, i wonder if i can join this little adventure of yours? I have the perfect char for the mission... or not. Never mind. Just look at him and tell me if it is still possible to enter the campaign.

If the answer is yes, i would prefer to be with another char and not go solo like the rest of the people in the brothel (i mean the adventurers, of course  )

-------------------------
Name: Fuleald Edan
Race: Human
Class: Cleric of Edbrog (god of peeping, erotic art and closed doors.)
Age: 76 (this is NOT a typo)
Stats: High str, con and wis. Low dex, int and cha.
(very) Short bio:

Slimy tall metropolis men that constantly paints rich lord's wives is Edbrog's main belief source. This men (very rarely -women) end up been very seclusive and dreamy. Just what this deity's portfolio is all about. :smirk:

Fuleald only excpetion is him been twice the age of any of Edbrog's other priests.

'nuff said.

Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

08-09-03, 08:51 PM
Btw, you still haven't thingied Fuleald into the Portal back at Dyverside.

OMG, wait... that's gonna be so cool! We'll have a cleric of Edbrog and a priest of Sharess working together :behold: hihihihihi!

WooHoo! All I have to say is Say yes to this new character Myran, sounds like he might add the extra boost your story here needs. You know....a guy how's not embaressed or indiffernt to being here.
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

08-10-03, 01:17 AM
Well, Oiovoronda is also somewhat fond of being here, but this... I always thought an adventure where Fuleald and Oiovoronda work together will be a cool idea... this will be hillarious! :smirk:

08-10-03, 09:00 AM
Welcome aboard!

I would just like to know two things:

A : How can a man 76 years old have high strength and constitution??

(I don't realy care, I just ask for the fun of knowing.)

B: Please, don't appear through a roof.

p.s. if you don't want to go solo, you'll have to joi one of the already existing character.
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

08-10-03, 09:43 AM
high st&con due to hard labor, i think.
Think in the way of David's grandfather from Silver, too, though this is far from being the case.

I also think he meant high as in -high- , not -superb- .
It's probably around the 14 mark.
archNME

08-11-03, 01:01 PM
By 'High' i really meant 'High'. Numbers not included since this is not a real D&D/d20 adventure.

And, yes, high str and con are easily achieved when you have to work daily with heavy ornamental weapons and much more heavier statues, duh.

PS: Sorry for the delay. Had to finish some things in the army.
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

08-12-03, 03:28 AM
Oooohhh i can't wait till Fuleald meets either Agudo or Oiovoronda!:D
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

08-21-03, 05:13 AM
Yaw, i swear i didn't take any Black Lotus, but i think i saw, and even heared, a good-alligned human heretic up in the brothel saying "Back to your cage" to one of the hoes...
Myranthor

08-21-03, 08:31 AM
No, that's what happens when I confuse myself with my many characters. I tell the wrong one to go back to his/her cage.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

08-21-03, 09:42 AM
oh, ok... good to know i wasn't halucinating.
I don't keep mine in cages, i just lock them in my head.... which explains my constant hedach, and once again, halucinations... for more details everyone are invited to take this quiz (http://quizilla.com/users/Streetcat/quizzes/Which%20of%20my%20characters%20have%20yo u%20sprung%20from%3F/)

The elf's eyes widen slightly in surprise. A rare, if not very impressive sight.
"Thaur, sut iir'oio amandilar en'Inaikelea naa e'quena - amandilar en'Edbbrog tula."For incase yall were pondering, the last phrase was said in elven, and translates as
"Fascinating, how whenever priests of the The Painfull One {meaning Loviatar, ofcourse} are spoken of - priests of Edbrogg appear"
Myranthor

09-03-03, 08:01 AM
Thank you for that MUCH NEEDED insight! :D
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

09-09-03, 08:40 AM
Well, Oiovoronda is calm, not indifferent...

Oh, and NME sais he's sorry for the delay {yeah, i know you lately hear it alot from myself too, sowie} and will post tomorrow
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

09-16-03, 03:39 PM
Look, over a week ago NME told me he won't have time for posting at all, and asked me to tell Myranthor that Fuleald Edan is now an official npc. I didn't proceed his resign, cause i hoped he'll find time anyway {i suppose everyone here will agree that his leaving is a painfull loss to the campain}.
But he didn't, so i guess we should accept it, a deamn shame as it may be, so dead DM, please clear Fuleald's ghost out of the way somehow {make him fade like an illusion or something} so that we can continue.

Aaaand on another note: ...WTFF?! Serith and Ramoth are characters of the same player?? what's the point in playing two different Pern dragons? ok, dumb question, probably the same point as in playing two different characters with the same prestige class... perhaps i should play two different sewrneoughmix priests, then?:smirk:
Ramoth

09-17-03, 10:11 AM
Ok first off, Ramoth ISN'T a Pern dragon. She's a dragon from Greyhawk RAISED by a dragon from Pern. Now that thats clear, the reason I play them, :smirk: and many others, is their personalities. Seirth is more of a nuetral, Ramoth a nuetral good. I have others who are nuetral bad, bad, ect......a few of whom I haven't even shown yet. I have a few that aren't dragon's, but they not as well developed as my other characters yet. Ok? Ok! :D :D
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

09-17-03, 05:18 PM
Cool... but Ramoth learnt all of the Pern dragons' special abilities, right?
Oh, and... ooc you're a male, right?

Ramoth

09-17-03, 08:25 PM
Yes she has all the Pern dragon abilities, with a few extra that all my characters have. But where they learned that from is another long story entirely. And me, male? Nope :D Last time I checked I'm 100% Female!

09-18-03, 04:08 AM
Well, acctually the primary part of my post was that one:

Umm...just posting this here so everyone knows why this has slowed down.

According to Gene's player, last time he talked to Myran's player Myran was having internet trouble. I.E. his connection getting disconected :( So It my be awhile before we hear from him again...or not depending on what happens  Oh and Myran...Let Gene join!!!!!!!!!
Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

09-18-03, 12:49 PM
yeah, i'm really missing him, and it's been a while since i've seen him in icq...
I myself vote in favor of Gene, aspecially now that Fuleald left a yawning gape in his player's wake...

I'm an elf called Kulideb, studying at Agudos school, while looking for my brother.

09-30-03, 08:49 AM
We're all waiting for Myranthor {our fluffy DM} to revive this thread after the disappearance of NME {and his char, Fuleald Edan, with him}. Once this is done, we can all continue playing... but right now the lack of DMly interferance is holding Seasutuil Oiovoronda {my char} from doing anything...
Malendor...

09-30-03, 09:19 AM
Some how I never pictured Myran as "Fluffy", but anyone have a clue when he plans on trying to catch up? I'm not online a lot anymore either, and most the time I miss him due to the times I'm on.... And I think Kulideb has great use of  ....HHmm...Maybe if we all use the  maybe Myran will come back????? *Ponders though*

The Random player of

Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai

09-30-03, 01:46 PM
 indeed.... Come back to us Myranthor! Oh, and the "fluffy" thing is just a general positive endearment {he knows the meaning}. Also, i think the new player should join.

After a minute of chanting, he opens his palms, putting one at his heart, and the other at the mirror, then turning his face upwards, eyes still closed, closing his hands, and opening them again, but extended upwards. He awaits responce from the Mother of Cats, as the smell slowly begins to vanish.
This was the casting of adivination prayer {and a rather time-consuming one, at that}, that's supposed to reveal the nature of a magical item. Should I :

A) be an external narrator, thus telling you what happens presently, and elaving you among yourselves for roleplay? (What i currently do)

B) Or make the NPCs more present, more interactive with the PCs?

Keep in mind that option B brings the discomfort of an emphasized PLayer-DM roleplay, the which can lead to a lack of interactivity between players themselves.
Agudo Archmage

10-05-03, 10:47 PM
Well both realy can work well, yet I like B.....and if I can have my cake and eat it to a tuch of A can add a nice mix to the story....

a rate of twice a week is could be perfectly tolerable, if it was an equally destributed rate... but since these are two following diaes, that's a problem.

I think it is. Not all D&D are supposed to be about epic mages casting mighty spells in the countryside.

Also, in the MoTP, we do not have to be play D&D :D

We could play "Fighters of vocabulary vs. the Mathematics council" on a checkers boards and it would be perfectly acceptable.

Unless they pay you for the copyright.

I personnally don't mind, but Myranthor the character hates that to kill. Anyway, he,ll shut up in front of the big bad red dragon....unless he has his wand of frost nearby.

Well, see you Ruth and Kuli :P

Heh, my own name is kinda hard not to shorten... I sometimes call Myranthor "Myrrrr" for the sole purpose of purring, btw.

Huh, you mean Ruthia and Melandor are different people ooc?

Umm... Snee, i'm glad you're gettin more free with teh board, but not every adventure is a heroic one, full of battle scenes and dramatic confrontation. Remember when your old enchantress char was stuck in a palace? This was a game of nothing but trickery for quite a while, and you didn't really complain...

As to Myranthorr, your example is just plain scary:sad:

SHE ISN'T CALLED LARASAY!!!

(gasp and breathes)

ok, guys, I just made a typo once and wrote "Larasay" instead of "Lara says". Please stop repeating that again and again, I feel like a complete m*r*n!

I mean, you really think I could've come up with a name that ugly?

(Please, do not answer....)
