In midlevel partу (10 ECL) evoker (int 22, greater spell focus evocation) and bard (bluff +20) have solved evil joke on rest. Evoker casts on bard burning hands, bard falls to pretend the dead, all other party members shocked. Can evocer decrease his high CL and high DC for this spell if he do not want kill a bard? Can evoker decline from bonus from high relevant score and bonus from greater spell focus for this spell? Please comment with quoting from rules. Is it beforehand thanked. |

Otherwise, it could be easier to simply have the evoker cast an illusion of the burning hands spell. That way, the bard would take no damage at all. I'm sorry if i misunderstood the question or if my answer's worded poorly. Hope this helped. |
