Jaded_Garnet 07-03-04, 12:14 AM	Light filters in through cracked window shutters, casting bars of golden light over an angled face and exasperated purple eyes. The shadows complemented her white skin, pale as a powdery cloud. With a smirk, she stood up, tall and thin. Inhuman. Her hand reached out and unlatched the door and let it open with a creak. She was as a calm as a dangerous feline. But with such a quick movement, she stepped outside and with a flick of her wrist, a sign appeared. 'Demon's Sanctum' it read. It wasn't meant to be taken literally, at least not by the average human. But she wasn't human now was she... or was she? She could not recall. But with her sleek, alluring nature, and her passion for knowledge, she was anything but normal. "People... I shall meet people. And I shall... what was I going to do? Oh yes, I shall find someone. The perfect snack," she thinks to herself, unconsistently, but strung together if that made sense. To her it did. She had a lot on her mind now, but she threw it all away mentally. She must be prepared to serve her customers. A merchant of unholy artifacts always had to be on her toes. Or claws... ((open to anyone who's curoius!! :) ))
Bewildered 07-03-04, 03:26 PM	Vuiil a mage of entropy dressed in a black and dark blue robe with silver lining seeks a place to rest his weary feet. He sees in the distance a building at which this may be possible so he walks slowly up to the entrance of this unhallow place and takes a look at the sign "Demon's sanctum, hmm sounds interesting enough.", he says to himself as he walks thru the wooden door of the establishment. Vuiil looks around for the owner of this place, while he fiddles with his right hand.
Jaded_Garnet 07-03-04, 10:16 PM	The interior is lit with candlelight, eeriely. The woman sat up on the counter leisurely, then said, "Welcome to Demon's Sanctum. Tell me, stranger, are you curious?" Her vast purple eyes look him over. 'Ah, yes... the magical type,' she thinks to herself. She slips down off the counter gracefully and smiles to him. She wears a long, sleek red and black kimono and her black hair trails all the way down her back, nearly touching the floor. "I am Naki Jii, a merchant of intricate things," she introduces herself, bowing slightly.
Lord Tarran 07-03-04, 10:45 PM	Suddenly, something bursts into the store, slamming the door behind it, and jumping into the rafters. The shadows around it play, but the creature is clear in the candle light. At first, it appears to be a boy, but this illusion is foiled by his reptilian eyes, his slightly lengthened teeth, and his large bat wings. Shadow seems to permeate him. The half shadow dragon, James Darktooth, hides over the door, whispering in a hissing voice: Naki! Justice Blades! Switch the shop over to the hiding version. I think they finally tracked me back here! His wings cover him completely, and he seems to disappear. ((Hi, Jade! Do you mind?))
Bewildered 07-03-04, 11:44 PM	"Huh? What are the justice blades? And what.. I mean who are you in the rafters? I don't want to see a fight if that is what going to happen. Unless of course I can be involved." Waving around his right hand Vuiil says,"I haven't had much of a chance to play around with this yet."
Jaded_Garnet 07-04-04, 12:38 AM	Naki does not appear at all disturbed or even startled. She gives the little creature a funny look and says, "Where's your manners? Can't you see I'm doing business? And as for the matter of the Justice Blades, I think you're on your own this time. There's a lovely closet in the backroom if you want to hide though." She draws her attention back to the traveller. "I'm so very sorry," she comments, her eyes narrowing. ((Hey, I'm just gonna play along with you Lord Tarran. ;) ))
Lord Tarran 07-04-04, 12:41 AM	Fine, Naki! You're on your own when they bust down your door. I'll be hiding in the closet. Call me when they pass. With that, he swoops down, and dives into the closet, locking it promptly behind him. Ten minutes later, stomping feet are heard outside, spreading out around into every building but this one. They report back in front, saying they can't find the half dragon.
Jaded_Garnet 07-04-04, 12:48 AM	Naki sighs heavily, exasperated. 'How am I going to get anything done here when guards are constantly drawn to my... innocent shop?' she thought to herself, twining a few strands of silky hair on her finger. She decided to let this go, for it sounded like the guards were retreating. Being undercover wasn't much fun. Naki could admit to that, but just not aloud.
Bewildered 07-04-04, 12:54 AM	Huh. Oh well. Hey, Naki was it? What is it you sell here?

I sell artifacts of bestowed auras, potent potions of various effects, unique gems, powerful, unbreakable jewelry, and... wine," she explains, then adds quietly, "and if you have the money, or services, I can make bargains with you for... ungodly relics."
Bewildered 07-04-04, 01:10 AM	"Hmm. Possibly do you have another one of these?" Vuiil walks outside and snaps his fingers and before him appears a sphere of annihilation. He directs it at a nearby tree and the moment it touches the tree it warps and dissapears into the sphere. Vuiil then waves his hand and it returns to its place within him.
Jaded_Garnet 07-04-04, 01:13 AM	Naki smirks. 'What a nice demonstration..' she thinks to herself, amused. "Some of the sort... but with an edge," she replies, hinting at darker effects of destruction. Then she moves to the back of the room and opens the closet door. "They're gone by the way," she informs.
Lord Tarran 07-04-04, 01:21 AM	Oh, thanks, Naki. Getting out of the closet, he asks her, Who's the new customer? Also, question, are you still mad at me for blowing up the lab this morning? I didn't mean to. Its your fault anyway, leaving the firebreath mix where the mandrake poisons were supposed to be. I'm telling you, if we turned the attic into the lab and the basement into a workshop and lodgings we would make more money. Plus there's better lights upstairs. And, what should I fetch for the new dude. And, are the illusions still up strong enough from the guards? I thought they would finally see through mine.
Jaded_Garnet 07-04-04, 01:29 AM	Naki tries not to go ballistic. "Please, excuse me good sir," she says to the man, then pulls the little creature over to the other side of the shop with her. "What was that outburst for? Do you want someone to suspect us? It's bad enough having so many humans in the village, but for you to say all that!! I wasn't mad at you for the lab, it's just I'm not... I'm not over the fact that you set free all my poisonous frogs! You know how vital they were... Anyways, enough about the illusions. Um... I don't think I have any jobs for you. Can you just hang out for a minute?" Naki says in a hushed tone, staring unblinking into his eyes. ((do you have a name?))

We came up into the sun, to sell things such as plain magic. I'm itching to make something, or do something, or, want me to summon something to get the frogs back?
Jaded_Garnet 07-04-04, 01:37 AM	Before she returns to her customer, Naki replies, "The frogs got eaten by some poor birds. Was fun watching them go down in gooey globs though." Then she says to the man, "Thank you for being so patient! You wanted Spheres did you not?"
Bewildered 07-04-04, 01:39 AM	"Haaaha. One of my favorite spells ... True seeing I believe is what it is called." ,Vuiil says as he looks about the room and at the two speaking aside from him. "Oh yes do you have one of those in your 'store' ?"

'Took me forever to find those stupid spheres that all the common races here want!' she thought, a bit spitefully. But business was business and gold was gold.
Bewildered 07-04-04, 01:57 AM	"EERH. I may not be as dull eared as you take me, And I wish you wouldn't speak such about me." Vuiil says as he rubs his right hand. "And as for the price here you are." Vuiil then pulls out a large bag and flips it over. Its contents spill out but, to everyones suprise it is but a single coin. "Haha I always get a kick out of that. Here you go pretty lady. That there is a repeating coin everytime you spend it it will put double that amount back in your pocket, or you can just take the 15000000 right now." He holds out an even larger bag.

Bewildered 07-04-04, 02:09 AM	"Ok. Fine by me. Here you go miss, the proper price." He hands her the weightless bag. "Ohp. No need to summon anything that is what this hand is for." Vuiil snaps his left hand and a small marble like ball appears in his palm. He then throws the ball out of a crack in the doors and a few seconds later a loud CRACK is heard as everyones hair is misplaced. "There now I am ready to carry it."

Jaded_Garnet 07-04-04, 09:57 AM	Naki fumbles to catch the thing. "This is quite amusing, you see, it's not that big of a deal. I'll go get it," she says, tossing back the glove, "Don't need that!" She makes her way into the very organized backroom. She takes a ring of numerous keys off a hook on the wall and unlocks a square metal box, taking out in her hand, the sphere. 'Hello lovely,' she thinks to herself. Why would she need a glove? Even Darktooth thought she had needed one. But maybe that was for her cover. Anyways, she closed the now empty box and went back out into the first room. A devious smile replaced her blank look. "Hmm, I have your money, and you probably have lots of other valuable items on you. I have you right here before me. I have this in my hand. You were quick to trust the 'pretty lady'!" she says, still smiling. And with that, she hurled the globe at Vuiil, quicker than one could keep up with! ((woo! plot twist!))

Darktooth's hands seem to anchor the man down, as if no magic could help him escape. .o0(I hope to god she didn't miss again. I lost a hand last time. And she could have blown our cover taking it without the glove.) ((Before you think any character can hear that, let it be noted that Darktooth has Mindblank working.))
Bewildered 07-04-04, 02:08 PM	"Huh? Maybe Deene was right, I am too trusting." As the hurled ball reaches Vuiil he snaps his right hand and his own sphere appears right infront of him. Then using his study of entropy he slows down and then stops his opponents sphere "Now when those two meet..", he says with a smirk, "they both will become null and void. That is after they destroy everyone in this room and everything for almost a mile. Now is this really the route you want to take? " Vuiil shuts his eyes for a moment and two more spheres of annihilation appear, one behind him and the other behind Naki. (( sorry if that may seem a little uberish but thats what entropamancer do))
Lord Tarran 07-04-04, 09:02 PM	Darktooth laughs maniaclly. You honestly think that sphere can hurt Naki? You, my little friend, are in for a rude awakening. And the sphere behind me doesn't matter much. I'll come back even if this one manages to dissolve me. As for the two exploding, ours was designed to null others, and stay intact. As a matter of fact, I believe it's about to break your control. Darktooth tightens his grip using his wings to protect himself from the orb. ((Dude, lower the god moding skills.))

Vuiil says with a slightly angry tone. "I've lived long enough I suppose. But why are you doing this? Couldn't an alliance between us be more profitable? Or is there something I am not already aware of?" Vuiil calls of his spheres and drops his head thinking "This is what I get for being a nice person, haha who cares."

But, good sir, I leave the choice up to you. Do you think Darktooth is bluffing?" She stands slanted a bit, a hand on her hip. Her purple eyes looked him over. 'What's the most he could do? Temporarily stop events? Temporarily banish me?' she thought.

But if I die I lose control of my spheres and they will consume everything on me untill the are put under anothers control. So perhaps if all you want are my possessions killing me wouldn't be the best plan of action. So you tell me, what do you have to gian by killing me? If you can control 4 spheres you gian what I have on me. But what do you have to gian with an alliance? You can gian an ally and friend and a loyal customer. But just to make sure, I think I will put all my spheres behind you, Darktooth instead of Naki." Vuiil drops his head again and all the spheres except the one infront of the sphere of implosion, move behind and to the side of darktooth.

He looks deep into the sphere, suddenly laughing. Naki, kill him. I can destroy the spheres. Once out from his control I'll blow them apart. But, to answer your question, mortal, I come from the Prime. Don't bother trying to banish me. Naki is the same, though she's not from this side of the Prime.
Bewildered 07-05-04, 06:50 PM	Still without sounding angry or scared Vuiil says You know what fine kill me and take my stuff and be like every other low life taking advantage of a good person, I don't really give a *&%@ anymore. Here a matter of fact take this. Vuiil takes off boots and pulls out his coin purse and lets it fall to the floor with a thud I really don't even mind you Naki its this lackey of yours that really seems to bother me. Vuiil lets all his spheres go right at Darktooth this time not bluffing, they fly right at him full speed. Oh, and Naki the key to my soul is in my boot if you want to take that too.

Then she walks up to the floating sphere of implosion and takes it back in her hand. "Let us stop this fighting. I believe you paid for this," she says, handing it to Vuiil. She turns away, unafraid, and goes into the backroom to contemplate her next move. 'He knows who we are. I cannot let him go. But what do I do? I'll use a domination spell on him, when he least expects it!' she tells herself.

"Oh, but you see, I need someone like you around," she says, blinking her purple eyes sweetly, working her real, non-magic charm. She makes her way closer to him, her hair hanging down in front of her body like black waterfalls. "Please, stay and work here. You've got a lot to gain. Money, workspace, friends... maybe more," she adds softly.

Vuiil is a charming man himself, even for a human so he winks at her and asks What is it you would have me do? And how will I be sure this won't happen again?

She went back into the storage room to put away the sphere, glancing briefly at Darktooth on the counter. "Do you think I overdid it?" she asks him, humorously.

He smiles, hopping on the counter, brushing his hand on his neck as he did earlier, before saying, I do wish that you wouldn't use your charm so freely on humans. Its a waste of your skill. It would have been so much simpler if I had cracked his neck.

Bewildered 07-06-04, 08:34 PM	The day passes uneventfully for Vuiil and he rests his head to sleep for the night. He awakes to the sounds of his noisy neighboor working in his alchemy lab only to see that the sun is still an hour from rising. Damn that man he is always waking me at obscene times of day. Don't be mad Vuiil, its not a big deal... Jeez this is going to be a bad day. Vuiil sets out to his new job: Slave to a beautiful woman and a demon child which he can bairly stand the sight of. Vuiil approaches the door to the establishment and peers thru the window to see if anyone is there. Grr. I walked all the way here and it looks like no ones even here yet!...... ... .. Angrily Vuiil says to himself Just take a deep breath, you don't want to get upset about a silly thing like this, now do you? No need to get worked up.

She opens the door a crack, peering out as if she didn't know Vuiil was there. "Why hello," she calls softly, "you're here a bit early. Do you mind if we just... talk? Wouldn't you like to know some things about me?"
Bewildered 07-06-04, 11:06 PM	Yes, I know I am early... don't remind me. Scratching his head, Vuiil walks inside the shop and grabs a seat Sure I would love to know more about you. Where do we start? Who and what are you, where were you born? Being the good hearted man he is Vuiil looks into Naki's eyes and not .... well other places. He seems to waiting for Naki's answers, like a child for a new toy

I am somehwhere in between. I am just myself. Where was I born? Far from here, in a place of deception. But come now, there is more to me than simple things," she replies, leaning back on the counter leisurely.

Bewildered 07-06-04, 11:32 PM	My name is Vuiil Caer and I left home at the age of seventeen to join the clerical persuassion,but after a revalation years after I found it wasn't the life for me. I then turned to my current passion, entropy. So now I worship no gods and I more or less follow my heart. I am not sure why I trust you but, something told me you didn't WANT to kill me and that at heart you were an okay person.

Bewildered 07-07-04, 12:05 AM	Vuiil looks up dismay paints his faces. Hmm I sure wish you could ... are you perhaps as strong as Tharizdun? He was the one who cursed me, well not him in person but his spirit. It all happened when I started studying entropy. I was looking for a sphere in a negative plane and when I happened I picked it up and a voice spoke to me in a language even I did not know, that is until I asked a wise man what he had said.I had taken the sphere that Tharizdun was feeding off of, and what he was trying to tell me was that I would be cursed forever, never being able to touch the ones I love or the ones I hate because if I did ... well Vuiil fidgets with his right hand and askes Have you ever heard of a town called " Torrehill" ?

Even if you were familiar with this area the name woudn't ring a bell because... Vuiil clears his throat dryly and says Because I destroyed it 4 years ago along with my parents brothers ... and my wife. Almost 100 inocent people died that uneasy day, all because I wasn't able to tell my wife in time to stop her. As I came back from my accursed adventure my wife unknowingly kissed me when I didn't know she was coming. After that all I could remember was yelling at her to get away from me... but she didn't she just stood there crying and asking what she did wrong. Next time I awoke I was laying in a puddle of blood and tears in the middle of a barren wasteland. Vuiil looks down and tugs at his robes and gloves and says Ever since then I have worn these.

That's admirable," she says, concerned and somehow understanding. "There's no way I can help?" she adds after a moment, for once feeling sincere. 'Don't let him get to me. Better to put him out of his misery...'
Bewildered 07-07-04, 12:41 AM	You could kill me but, I have had people try that before ... it didn't turn out well. Apparently Tharizdun keeps me alive even after death and just replaces my body. This is my third generation self althought, it is still my original form. But unfortunately thats not even the half of it. After that I attempted to atone for my horrible acts, going back to my old church I found that even they the "HOLY" wouldn't except me. So I turned my back on them and my past life, now I just wander, stopping for a few months then going on again. Vuiil suddenly cheers his expression looks up and says But enough of this story it angers me. Do you have a tale of your own Naki?
Jaded_Garnet 07-07-04, 11:56 AM	Naki hesitates. 'Great, what do I say?' "I... I haven't thought about that for nearly a millenia..." she replies softly, half talking to herself, half blurting out. She glances up quickly, then, to her relief, a customer comes through the door. "Ah! Welcome to my shop, Demon's Sanctum. Are you looking for anything?" she greets cheerfully, pulling away from Vuiil. 'Perfect...' After the customer has gone; obviously the prices were too high, Naki stands back by the counter, awkwardly. "Well if you're wondering... I'm here because I got sick of things in.. where I come from. I was just feeling ambitious one day, so I packed up all my valuables and dragged along Darktooth, looted along the way, and ended up here," she explains, twining a few strands of her hair on her finger. :angel:

Bewildered 07-07-04, 01:53 PM	Rrright, and I'm just a simple farm hand who only carries spheres of annihilation because he thinks they are pretty. Vuiil chuckles a little but then gets sturn again and askes Why are you unwilling to tell me the truth? I did so for you. You don't have something to hide perhaps?.... Vuiil shakes his head and waves his hand a little then just says Forget it you tell when your ready its no big deal to me. Now if you excuse me I need to find something to eat. Vuiil stands up and looks thru his robes untill he finally finds a small cube like thing and a pouch in the lower pockets of his cloak. He lays the cube down and then a few moments later it turns into a small two person table, he then pulls up his chair from earlier and empties the contents of the pouch: various viles and strange fruits from far off lands fall from the pouch for what seems like an eternity but finally he finds the fruit he was looking for and the appropriate vile and starts to chow down asking Won't you join me Naki? These fruit are great you should try ... um ... this one. Vuiil hands her a medium sized red fruit with spiny protrusions all about it. Just take a knife and cut off the spines then you can eat it up. Its kind of like a big cherry and orange mixed together. he says with a smile, his teeth are stained blue from the awkward fruit he has been eating
Jaded_Garnet 07-07-04, 02:54 PM	Naki giggles, but her amausement is cut short. She can just make out the sounds of marching gaurds making their way hastily towards her direction. She gasps, becoming even paler. 'Someone must have seen me sneak out last night!' "Uhh... Vuiil, could you.. uh, not say anything about what I'm about to do?" she asks uncertainly, smirking nervously. The gaurds are closer, nearly to her door. Naki doesn't let him answer though, and in a dazzling burst of light, Naki disappears. Well not entirely, for a tiny black and orange fox sits by Vuiil's feet timidly. The guards burst in, a group of them surrounding the outside and a few armed guards circling inside. They see Vuiil and one says, "Sir, do you own this shop? Reports of a strange creature sighted in and around here have been pouring in. Is it you?" The tiny fox sneezes.
Bewildered 07-07-04, 03:26 PM	Vuiil looks up at the guards smiles and says Yes, yes sir I am the owner and no I am not the "strange creature" that you have recieved complaints about but, maybe I can help. he says while reaching down and petting his new fox I believe I caught the creature you are looking for Picking up the fox he walks to a back room and tell the guards I'll be back in a moment. While in the room he calls telepathically to a planar ally of his, Hurren a large awkward creature with a tendency for mischief. After Hurren appears Vuiil quickly tells him the situation and puts a false set of shackles on his wrist and walks him to the guards. Here you go good sirs this may be the creature you are searching for. Hurren really hams it up for the guards as they escort him out of the shop. The head guard walks up to Vuiil and says Thank you good sir we will dispose of this creature for you and I hope we haven't caused you too much trouble. The guards leave but about a mile down the road Hurren unleashes himself and runs wild down the path, the guards chasing him over the horizon. He owed me one. Vuiil says as he sets down Naki

Vuiil doesn't say specifically what he means by "what you are trying to do" but Naki gets the feeling that he knows more than what he seems. I'll return tommorow and next time we talk maybe you can tell me whats been on your mind. He looks down at his feet and just like yesterday he turns back and smiles then dissapears.
Jaded_Garnet 07-07-04, 09:36 PM	Naki controls her rage, then silently walks back inside. 'Perhaps I chose the wrong one... that must be it. But I don't mind a challenge.' She smiles to herself, remembering what she must do. Quickly she morphs into fox form and scampers upstairs, trying to sneak by Darktooth's room without him hearing her. She snuck into room that she didn't often visit, mainly because she was advised not to go there. It was a bit dangerous. Supposedly the previous owners of this house put up all kinds of holy wards and auras. Naki had made it her job to dispel all of them. One wrong move and she could be in lots of pain. The rest of the evening Naki spent her time in her human form attempting to break down these holy magics. 'Darktooth would not like this,' she thought.
Lord Tarran 07-08-04, 10:05 PM	Naki hears tapping at the doorway. Turning, she sees Darktooth, tapping his foot, arms crossed. His wings are hidden, his black eyes glittering. Coldly, he says: You are right, Naki, I wouldn't like this. I could dispel the whole of the spells in moments, yet you won't let me. He bends downs, ignoring the many, many, many enchantments, petting her between the ears, picking her up and holding her in his lap. You put yourself in to much danger, fox gal, and one of these days it will catch up. Before you say a word, I know what happened downstairs. And no, it wasn't you the guards saw, even if they mentioned fox. I was returning that old pelt last night, and they spotted me. I'm suprised they traced me back here. I killed eight of them. I thought they would be too afraid of the big bad drake. He chuckles. I also know about what you told our mortal friend, and what he told you about his demon. Honestly, I think I could remove him from our world. Anyway, my dearest kit, what may I ask why you keep him? Pleasure of the mind? Need for fun of the soul? Body, possibly? I thought you had put that behind you. ((Sorry I haven't been around. I started my summer job this week, and its taken a lot out of me. I will be back to my normal power over the weekend and should be okay next week. And, please, no threads on my sadness. ;)))

Bewildered 07-09-04, 01:04 AM	As Vuiil walks home he ponders over the days events and can only wonder what is in store for him tommorow. Just as he sets his head to rest his noisy neighboor decides it is an appropriate time to test the explosives he made in his lab. "This is going to be a very very long night.", he grunts.
Jaded_Garnet 07-09-04, 01:10 AM	Naki dismisses the conversation, seeing as Darktooth doesn't understand her thoughts on the human. She slips outside, into the cool darkness of the night. The night... it was so alluring to Naki, enveloping her keen senses. She longed to scamper off, literally, as a vixen. But she didn't, for fear of being hunted or spotted by the gaurds posted for night watch. Their numbers had increased since her and Darktooth had arrived here.
Bewildered 07-09-04, 02:06 AM	That night Vuiil's mind was rich with colorful dreams and unfortunately a foreboding nightmare. As it began Vuiil’s body was wracked with convulsions and spasms but they soon gave way to a mental equivalent. Vuiil saw visions of a fox running thru a grassy field that soon turned to dessert and then shifted to the burning flames of hell itself. Vuiil tossed on his cot but the terror continued. The fox which he saw in the field was now the familiar face of Naki and a cynical smile that was all too familiar as well. All that Vuiil could feel was the fire and all he could see was Naki. Then a flash and all that was gone. Vuiil awoke in complete darkness but as he took a breath he choked on his own blood. He stood and walked to where he thought his mirror was but his vision was clouded by something. Vuiil felt for his dresser and upon finding it he dug out his steel mirror. When he gazed upon it he saw that he was bleeding from his eyes and it ran down his face like crimson flames. ARRGGH! Vuiil slams the mirror down and begins to have visions of his past again. Then he snaps and it was over, he isn‘t Vuiil anymore. Vuiil ... if you can still call him that, looks thru his chest of belongings and fishes out a long silver sword and sheathes it upon his hip and walks out of his hut. His noisy neighbor was still up tinkering as always in his lab. Vuiil turns and looks at the first floor of the alchemist’s house and a few moments later it bursts into flames, Vuiil only walks off sneering. The screams of his family can be heard as Vuiil walks towards the shop. Naki... Dark tooth... everyone ... ALL OF THOSE DECEITFUL BASTARDS! Vuiil screams as he makes his way to the place where all this started. When Vuiil reaches the shop he simply stands there and stares at Naki who is standing in the entrance. WHY? Vuiil says coldly

Jaded_Garnet 07-09-04, 03:06 PM	Naki's eyes widen in fear. "Get away from me!" she cries out, backing away quickly. 'This could get dangerous.' Then she runs back into the house, slamming the door shut and gasping for breath. Her heart was pounding.

The voice seems to come from inside the shop but Vuiil is still outside Vuiil takes a few steps away from the shop and sits placing his sword point down in the ground, he hangs his head while he concentrates He wouldn't want me to do this but you are forcing me to! Vuiil yells out at Naki. A few seconds after he sits an enormous black clouds begins to hover over the shop where Naki hides. As time passes deafening thunder claps and lightning falls down and hits Vuiils sword in the ground. Hails pours down smashing the roof of the shop and acid floats to the ground killing all the grass it touches. The shop doesn't look like it will hold for too much longer. Now is the time of purification and you are the filth NAKI! Vuiil screams from his spot outside Come out now and all will be spaired, defy me and all will be lost!
Jaded_Garnet 07-09-04, 08:05 PM	'I've got to do something... quick!' she thinks, pacing back and forth, 'I've got to turn the tables on him...' But her mind is blank, sadly, and she worries for the first time in her life. With not much else to do, Naki bounds outside, a tiny fox amidst the chaos outside. She scampers across the lawn and towards the forest, dodging around. It wasn't her best plan, but it might work. 'Lead him away from here... persuade him to stop this! Pretend to be on his side...' She disappears into the forest nearby, hoping he would follow.

If you tell me why you are manipulating Vuiil. Unknowingly the man that is Vuiil has spent the night away chasing down the sly little fox Naki and the sun rises above above the horizon sending it's rays into the dark forest. Upon the light hitting Vuiil he says Damnit! Too long. Just then Vuiil drops to the ground lifeless and doesn't get up. Not for a minute at least. Huh? Where am I? Wha... who's there?

Bewildered 07-09-04, 11:26 PM	What!? Please don't leave me here! AHHHH! I .. I can't see. Vuiil stands knees shaking and feels about his face. Oh there we go I am starting to see again. I think i'll just sit here a while and wait for my vision to return. Naki why did you say I am free to go? He looks up in Naki's general area and you can tell he isn't who he was a second ago. Huh? Why do I have my sword with me. Naki? Is this some kind of joke?

His hand flutters at her neck, as he whispers to her: I told you, I told you. But listen to the old dragon, no, that would be two easy. You and I need to have a heart to heart, soon, Naki.
Bewildered 07-10-04, 11:30 AM	Vuiil rubs his head and says I don't know what you guys are talking about but I guess ... Thaks for letting me go. We will meet again hopefully. Vuiil walks out of the forest and back to his house to get some missed sleep.

"Why hello... what brings you back here?" she asks softly, pretending not to know.

I really had fun learning about you and your other side. Man... he says with a head shake I never was good at goodbyes.. but i guess I just have to get moving now so... untill we meet again! So now the man with two halves: one good and one bad, one Vuiil and the other not , but both halves one man, leaves the Demon's sanctum probably never to return and walks over the horizon disappearing into the morning fog. He was simply to dangerous for the two of us. And you, well, He pecks her on the cheek, and strokes her neck, need to not worry about your weaknesses, and more about your strengths. I aware that you are feeling insecure. You reak of it. And loss too. Did you actually enjoy the company of our Vuill, or was it infatuation? He sits on the counter, continuing his petting, as he prepares for whatever Naki decides to do.

You are a demon, Naki, your species purpose is to do whatever it takes to get off. But you, you have grown as a much more caring creature. He kisses her, full on the lips, ending his stroking. I'll admit I was a little jealous of Vuill. I was afraid he was taking my only friend away from me.

She set the book away and locked up the shop, following him upstairs. "You're so unpredictible, you know that? I half expected you to scold me about the human," she calls to him.

But a little less chaotic. And more focused. And with a longer attention span. And the capability to love. And, okay maybe not a cat. He continues to babble abut different creatures he's like, and doesn't look like he is going to stop voluntarily.

While deep in thought, she discovered she wasn't really emotionless, only cold. This saddened her, but of course it didn't show at all. Twilight was just coming upon the land when she fell asleep, slumped on her bed against the wall.

She begins to pick up cluttered things and such. She stoops to the floor and picks up a misplaced vial. It is cracked and Naki looks for the label, then freezes. 'Oh........' She drops it immediately and rushes out of the room, clenching her hand.

Lord Tarran 07-12-04, 09:38 PM	Damn, it was one of mine. I'm not angry, but I need you to stay calm while I cure it. From the looks of it, its that batch of basilisk venom I was preparing. Remember how I said that I thought some of my vials busted. Looks like this one did. He holds her hand, as two snakes, made of magic, come rolling down his arms, lying their heads on her palm. He whispers in Draconic, using powers that he wished he would not have to use. Being a former cleric of shadows had its advantages, but the powers were draining. Still he whispered, trying to reverse the poison and its petrifying effects. While the magic works, he says: Where did you find the vial?

He smiles, laughter in his eyes, as he helps her up.

He had been with Naki, well, even he had lost count of the years, but only now, when surrounded by mortals, did his emotions bloom. And he was confused. His voice was weak, though elated, as he looked to Naki for help. What do I do now, then? I've never been in this position before.

With Darktooth shut away up in his room, Naki continues to clean the backroom downstairs until it's perfectly organized and any poisons split and wiped up. Wearily, she marches upstairs to go to her bed. She flops down on her back, her feet hanging off the edge. Staring at the ceiling, Naki decides to apologize to Darktooth. Perhpas he couldn't cage his feelings as well as Naki could to hers.

But she tried not to think of that as she made her way through a narrow path in a dense forest. It would've been much easier and faster for her to become her fox form and bound through the vegitation, but she'd rather stay in her more human form. What made her feel that way, she did not know. 'Foolish emotions... perhaps one day I can forget all this...'

Larinthiose De`Marko De'lavoi shifted along a path through the woods, paying the surroundings little attention. He was looking for someone, someone that gave him a nasty cut on his right foot. From what he understood, this elf was heading for the Underdark, and with Larinthioses unique abilities in planar shifting, he didn't worry too much about the elf getting away from him. Around midday, Larinthiose spotted a lone figure walking toward him twenty paces ahead. He shifted trough the planes and came back behind the woman, then cleared his throat, getting her attention. "Greetings beautiful one," He said bowing low and sweeping an arm out. " I am Larinthiose De`Marko De'lavoi. But one as fair as you may call me Larin. May I ask where you are travelling, considering you are alone and seemingly upset?" He stands upright and smiles a wide grin. His silver skin and pupil-less silver sheened eyes sparkling in the sunlight.

Not home." He smiles alittle, showing affection rarely seen from him. " Allow me please to teach you one thing I learned through my centuries of life." " I remember vividly the day I left my plane of existence, the plane of my people. All the planes lay before me, a life of adventure and excitement, with possibilities that lifted my heart. More than that though, I left Tinet with the belief that I could now live my life in accordance with my principles. My future was my own to determine. But that young Zenythri, that young Larinthiose De`Marko De'lavoi who walked out of Tenit that fated day, barely into my fourth decade of life, could not begin to understand the truth of time, of how it's passage seemed to slow when the moments were not shared with others. In my youthful exuberance, I looked forawrd to several centuries of life. How do you measure centuries when a single hour seems a day and a single day seems a year? Beyond civilization, beyond your home, there is food for those who know how to find it and safety for those who know how to hide. More than anything else, though, beyond the teeming cities of civilization, there is solitude. As I became a creature of solitude, survival became easier and more difficult all at once. 'What the...?' she thinks as she smells the air with her keen nose. The fox stays hidden, or at least as hidden as it can for now.

Bewildered 07-15-04, 12:16 AM	Almost a day after Naki has left her friends and loves goodbye. At Demon's Sanctum A large burly man with long blonde mane like hair comes thru the doors panting like a dog on a sultry summer's day. When he sees Darktooth he announces himself. Gaeraw, Sir is my name and I am here on the behalf of my friend Vuiil. He has sent me here to deliver Naki a message, might I ask where she is? Upon seeing Gaeraw up close he has a lions facial feature mixed with that of a humas and his hair not only looks like a mane but actually is one. He is at least seven feet tall with a very muscular build and short fur covers his body and he has small retractable claws atop his finger tips coupled with large fangs. His piercing blue feline eyes search the room for Naki but to no avail

'Must have been nothing...' she tells herself, morphing back into human form. She stretches a bit, then brushes back her hair before walking leisurely down the road again.

"At least a name would be pleasant, MiLady" Larinthiose says, bowing again. "If I cannot persuade you to stop this teraid, perhaps I may accompany you as far as, well, as far as I feel.....actually."

Bewildered 07-15-04, 12:35 AM	Damn! She isn't here? Gaeraw says when he finds that Naki has already left I have not tracked someone in years, maybe this will be fun. So Gaeraw sets out to track down this woman he knows nothing of only that she is like nothing Vuiil has ever seen. He scans the land and his vertical pupils contract to see farther but Naki was nowhere in sight so he stooped down and sniffed at the ground. Aha! Strong scent she has ... like a .. fox. Well time to set out. He said to himself So now Gaeraw walks into the horizon, fading into the falling sun

"True enough young one, but are we not all insane for believeing in edicts that guide or lives into what we see as madness, when we ourselves lead the way?" He wraps an arm around Naki's slender form and begin's walking with her. "Usually I have no tolerance for being's not of planar origin. Most Prime Material inhabitants are boring and broading, always looking to get ahead and never worrying about who they destroy while going there, yet then they wonder why they hurt so in the end. You are.....different somehow. And so I wish to travel with you for a ways, if it is in your exceptance that is."

Larinthiose smiles at the beautiful woman and continues walking down the road, humming a tune not known to any on the Prime Material Plane.

Soon the path through the woods became narrower and branches stretched lower to the point where Naki was brushing past them and ducking under. Was this the right road? 'Damn!'

Should I open it? But after some thought Gaeraw does open the letter and finds a great terror. GRRR. he mutters to himself before getting some much needed rest

He could feel the inevitable change back into the ravening dragon he once was coming, but he tried to keep it down. He hoped Naki would remember and return in time, before his transformation became frog prince again, as it had when he and the fox first met.

She changes back to her other form, brushing back her hair and sighing. She had forgotten how rough it was for her to travel. 'What the hell kinda road is this? Where am I now?' she curses mentally. She turns round to make her way back to find another route, but discovers the road is... gone! Alarmed now, Naki just blinks at the sheer solid forest behind her. "Not good..."
Khylorn the Shifter 07-18-04, 02:25 PM	The armored man sighs in relief, apparantly unaffected by Darktooth's cryptic appearance. He nods at the dragon. "Good. My name is Khylorn, and I'm looking for a sword." He glances around. "I hope your shop's name isn't literal, because then you're even less likely to deal a demon-slaying sword." Khylorn laughs nervously, suddenly becoming very aware of Darktooth's form.
Bewildered 07-18-04, 02:43 PM	Gaeraw yawns a monsterous yawn as he awakens from his nights rest. Remembering what his assignment was and its new urgent state he quickly got moving after the scent of the fox woman. 'This is going to take forever at this rate', he thought to himself ' If I don't get something other than a scent soon I may lose her.'
Jaded_Garnet 07-19-04, 12:14 AM	Quite puzzled, and a bit tense, Naki moves through the dense forest. She was just on the road a moment ago. It should be right here! 'What kind of enchantment is this? Faerie magic?' "Enough tricks..." she whispers, morphing into her agile fox form and bounding away.
Bewildered 07-19-04, 12:29 AM	Gaeraw eventually comes upon a nesting site and some fresh tracks from the fox woman. Quickly he runs after her but upon finding the rest of the trail he finds a second set of tracks not belonging to Naki. Hmm. I hope these are not the tracks of the man mentioned in the letter.
Jaded_Garnet 07-19-04, 03:02 PM	Naki hears something in the distance behind her. Her ears twitch back and she stops abruptly. It was strange that she hadn't seen any animals around here, and then all of a sudden hearing a noise had alarmed her.
Bewildered 07-19-04, 04:48 PM	Gaeraw, fearing the worst, burst into full sprint on all fours. His retractable claws dig into the ground for extra traction and he bounds over the tall brush that stands in his way I hope I get to her in time. He says to himself

"I would like a powerfully-built longsword, bastard sword or similarly built weapon made from cold iron, with magical powers that allow it to slay demons in a single blow. It must be useable by small creatures, such as halflings, and by large creatures, such as ogres." He pauses for a moment. "Do you deal in poisons as well? I would like to buy 10 vials of poison from a devastation spider as well."

I can ssssupply you with a blade designed to kill demonsssss, bastard ssssword length, no change in length on owner, capable to ssssseverly hurting mosssst demonssss with a chop. It's effectivensss tapersss out at creatures of Glabrezu power. He appears thoughtful, reaching under the counter and coming out with a rack of vials. His voice becomes human momentarily I have the poison you need though. But, the payment is 6000 gold, and either a dead devastation spider, or something of equal venom power. Otherwise the price is 10000 gold.
Khylorn the Shifter 07-20-04, 08:16 AM	Khylorn sighs. "Glabrezu power, you say?" He sighs again. "That isn't powerful enough." Then he pulls out ten bulging bags of gold. "But I would like that poison. This is ten thousand gold." A final sigh emits from his mouth. "Well, what other weapons and magical items do you have designed for combating demons? Could you show me your most powerful ones?"
Lord Tarran 07-20-04, 03:43 PM	Taking the gold, Darktooth hands over the entire rack of vials. He appears thoughtful for a moment, before reaching below the counter and procurring 6 racks of glowing vials, a pair of scimitars with a angelic motif, glowing bracers, and a plain looking longsword. The vials are filled with somthing called Paladin's Tears. Its specially blessed and enchanted water designed to hurt demons. Its equaivalent, to a demon anyway, to being smacked by a Horrid Wilting spell, maximized. The swords are enchanted like the other I told you, but seem to be useful up to Balor class demons. I haven't tested them on Klurichir class, but I believe they will still be effective, if not as much. The bracers go with the swords, making them deadlier. But it seems that only creatures not of the shadow can wield them. The longsword is Pale Justice. He goes quiet after saying the name of the sword. If the man knows what the blade is, he will not reach for it. If he doesn't, he will. 1 million gold pieces for the bunch, not including the vials. It's 5000 for every rack of Paladin's tears. 450000 for the swords. 50000 for the bracers. 500000 for the blade.

Well, I'll need to know more about the nature of this sword known as Pale Justice before I pay that kind of money." He glances at the scimitars, then picks them up, testing the balance and weight of the swords. He seems very pleased with them. "I am also very, very interested in these scimitars." Khylorn grasps one in each hand, and slowly maneuvers an darting offensive technique. For someone in scale armor, he seems to have an unusual amount of finesse with the weapons. He once again seems pleased. Continuing to inspect the weapons, he notices no names etched into the blades of the scimitars. "These swords need names, sir," Khylorn announces. "Anyway, I'll probably be buying these, and perhaps the bracers as well. Just tell me a little more about Pale Justice."
Lord Tarran 07-21-04, 07:38 PM	I can't. Darktooth places the sword under the counter again. If you had to ask about it, you are not one who would be able to wield it. I was sworn when I found it that only those who know what it is before hand may have it. So, what are you going to take with you.

He pauses for a moment. "Well, I can't buy Pale Justice, but I am curious about what it is. I'm sorry if I'm too curious for my own good, but I am still interested in Pale Justice's powers. I won't ask for it, no matter what." Looking at his fancy new scimitars, he pauses. "I think I'll call them Truth and Justice," he muses.
Jaded_Garnet 07-21-04, 10:23 PM	Whatever had been stalking her had hidden itself once again. Ever alert, Naki thinks for a moment. Her and Darktooth's bond hadn't been broken yet. She could sense that. Perhaps she wasn't too far to call out to him from within. If he could 'hear' it, he would feel her emotions of uncertainty, slight panic, and helplessness. If not... then Naki was on her own out here.
Bewildered 07-21-04, 10:44 PM	The sun rose over the plain's many hills and the rays glinted in Gaeraw's golden mane. His feeling of danger left just as the night did. He kept his half hearted pace as he followed the trail that he was only about 12 hours behind. Soon he would find the women he was looking for and inform here of the danger

Bewildered 07-25-04, 12:14 AM	Gaeraw slows his pace feeling more comfortable with the situation now he also breaks out some of his bizzare rations. Consisting of almost pure meat it is surprising that they are not rotten yet. 'I wonder what this guys wants from Naki?'
Jaded_Garnet 07-25-04, 12:57 AM	Having stopped to rest and perhaps relax, Naki cannot get a response from Darktooth. No doubt he hated her for leaving. Evening soon comes, casting weird shadows everywhere.

Quickly forcing Khylorn outside, and saying he would return soon, Darktooth leaps from the roof of the building, flying towards Naki, as if not under his own control. His body becomes fully dragonic as he closes the distance, though he becomes nearly totally human, except his eyes, as he lands. His arms wrap around her shoulders, as he asks softly, What is wrong, fox girl? The bond seems to be working. I could tell what you were feeling. After all these years, we finally need it. Something I can slay for you? His aura is one of happiness, and great emotional distress.

Something lurks in the shadows, Darktooth. It eludes me," she continues, begging almost with her body language. "Er.. you don't understand! I did this! I lied to you and said there was nothing but a deal between us. I was wrong and now... it is catching up with me!"

Eventually though, she bursts into a clearing, nearly breathless. She could sense Darktooth nearby, and the thought of him still here brought color rushing to her face.

Patting her on the back, and stroking her neck in his way, he says nonchalant, Well, whatever it is you are running from, it seems to either embarrass or excite you.
