Devil fruit Templates [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-15-08, 07:35 PM Hey, I've been toying around with the idea of devil fruits and createing aquired templates for them. I got one that is in a rough draft right now Hana Hana no Mi (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=991797). I was wondering if you guys have any ideas for the flare flare fruit(I've been trying to create each one when they are asked for, for a pbp game their is more room if anyone is interested).

Anyway All I got so far was

Flare Flare Fruit
La +3(what I'm shooting for any way)

Body of Flame (su): Your body start to become a living flame and you gain a miss chance against all attacks that you are aware of equal to 5% per HD (capping at 50%)

Weakness (ex): All devil fruit users lose the use of their abilities when they are immersed in water. Also any part of their body that is in water can not be affected by any supernatural or spell-like ability granted by the fruit.

I'm still trying to figure out how to work the other abilities for this. Help would be appreciated.

Shouldnt they become helpless when there in water?

03-13-08, 11:27 AM here's how I see it, the devil fruit, depending upon the fruit, gives you a different power obviously, but all of them will inherit this trait:

Devil Fruit Curse: (ex) the character who has eaten a devil's fruit has an effective STR score of 1 when having any part of their body immersed in water. They also suffer a permanent -20 to all swim checks.

For the Flare Flare Fruit ability, you need to include some abilities that allows the character to shoot fire from his body. Maybe you can use the legacy weapon system for this. At each level, you would probably gain the usage of a fire-spell as a spell-like ability a number of times per day. This also ties in with the Body of Flame ability you wrote up.
