See, this is why people should not START at level 20...people just don't know how to control themselves. The power goes to their heads. They forget how to properly role play. And they annoy the hell out of people because they don't even take into account advice that is given. Two of us have epic characters (hmmm...I wonder who?), and don't seem to want to lower their characters power. One of those epic characters is comparing their character with DBZ, a cartoon of insanely overpowered, equally etiquette-lacking anime characters. How ridiculous is that? In the old days, we had people who knew how to roleplay. Why is that? I think it's because people earned their levels. They didn't just decide, "Oh, hm...if I had 20 levels here and 20 levels here...ah, what the hell, I'll put 40 levels here, too." As such, they knew how to act and more importantly, role play! They had discipline. They had respect. And they had common courtesy enough to lower their character levels when they massively outmatched everyone else. Now we have betrayal of FoD, betrayal of power, and plain, old...BAD roleplaying! Stepping out of a person's shadow? Exploding ectoplasm - which, as far as i'm concerned, has nothing to do with psionics. Teleportation across thousands of miles within ONE POST! *Sigh* I miss the good old days, when people actually knew how to do things. |
| Drindin03-17-05, 12:27 AM | And then I said it, as the DM, and it was so: Within the confines of this game, there can be no teleportation, due to a combination magical/psionic disruption that has recently occured, due to the after shocks of a disturbance on the astral plane, as one of the 'dead' gods suddenly quivered in his bizzarre sleep. Planes travelling, and even the simplest of teleportation spells, have there fore, become extremely skewed, dangerous, and simply not good to be doing! This has also caused problems for your plane old Psion, making his much much weaker than he normally would be. Yours Truly, The King of the Universe. PS: I'm simply doing this to try and keep things balanced. Krissy suffers for it too: She's half ghost. Now, she is tied more closely to the Etheral than the Astral, but she's a sorceress, and a very weak one, in terms of Physical abilities (she's surprisingly powerful considering her age when it comes to magic, even though she is Technically Level Four). Both her AND the Ghul have their work cut out for them: They're total weaklings, but they are integral to the story line. To try and keep everbody else at a leveled playing field, I've (clearly) had to institute the above rule. |

Oh bah! :P Sorry, I had forgotten about the roc when I wrote that post. On Drindin's last post however: GO DRIN!!!! Now there's a way to prevent unneccessary screwups to the plot. Just out of curiousity, would Krissy and Ghul be able to rest on Kherule and direct him? He is, well, Collasal+ when dragon, and could probably create some sitting thing for the little ones between his wings. Or would that scare... Damn, I can't reveal that Kher is truly dragon until he and Respen become friends. So nevermind. And Krissy and Ghul don't have their work cut out for them! They have Khaira, and Kherule, and Respen, and I guess Thosi, to do the cutting. :D Tarran out. |

'Sides, as one particular Archmage always says, "Part of the fun of the adventure is getting there, and that's why teleportation spells are for cheaters and cowards ... they take all the fun away from the game!" |

Furthermore, you'd be hardpressed to float next to it, since it is in fleight, high up in the air. #2: BETRAYAL OF FREEDOM OF DESTINY! I must say you well deserve the Darwin Award of the Year for Betrayal of Freedom of Destiny. In case your not sure what that is, it's: stupidity, moronic actions, de-evolution of the brain since you DO NOT USE IT, and general imbecilic'ism. Yep, that's you, 100%. I think this is, what, the second time you've betrayed FoD? Or the third? In any case, you're doing a pretty poor job. Oh, I think I have a couple more... #3: Ridiculously Overpowered! Did I meniton that you're characters ridiculously overpowered? Did I also mention that you're character's annoying as all hell? No? Well, okay...now you know. Because...he is. Learn FoD, respect, and discipline or get out. No, actually, I think it'd be better if you get out and THEN learn FoD, respect, and discipline. #4: Pay attention!! Respen wasn't even talking to you when he was asking Khaira about a lift. The Telekinesis effect on the horse was, needless to say, stupid. Utterly stupid. Utterly, totally, without a second thought stupidly ignorant and disrespectful. It also broke FoD. Did I mention that pisses me off? Because it does. Really and truly. In short... GROW UP! |

Also, Piper, how do you think that Kherule and Respen should interact? If Respen had been at Agudo's at the point of leaving, he at least heard a whisper of the truth behind the sorceror. Kherule hasn't developed an opinion, but at some point I think that the two should talk. |

Upon reaching the school, I assume one of you simply runs in and gets the hair, not a difficult task, and not needing much along the lines of detail. Also, during this time attacks will occur on both groups. Kherul, Krissy will NOT be able to defend herself! She will rely on you, the Ghul, and Tiger Knights working together to do this. |

Also, as an FYI...the magical item that Khaira was using today was a Ring of Shooting Stars, and the spell that she cast was a Spark Shower. It is supposed to affect all creatures within a 20 foot long and 10 feet wide arc. Further information can be found in the DMG on page 233 |

By RA SALVATORE, and a group of fresh new authors working together. You should all buy copies! Well, anyway heres what I found out. Wraiths, the shadowy, incorporeal creatures are very dangerous. So dangerous in fact that the slightest touch from one could drain a living creature's vitality in an instant, and even magic healing doesn't restore it! Those drained entirely by wraiths become undead themselves, rising as twisted caricatures of their former selves to feed on their own kind. Few people have ever survived encounters with them. That's word for word people! So earlier when we were facing these things, Khaira actually came in contact with them! If I'm not mistaken a wraith grabbed onto Lady Khaira's leg! As Respen though, valiantly fought the things off with his holy greatness. *beams* So I suspect Khaira is now a wraith in guise. Shall I smite her now DM? It also clearly explains why she couldn't grab the brush! CHAOTIC EVIL HEART! How else explains this event?! Though some say she was like that to begin with. Well, me being me, I just had to grab my trusty Monster Manual 3.5 after I read this. :) Now depending on the wraith, a person does not necessarily die instantly after being touched by one. For a normal wraith, if a person does not make the DC 14 Fortitude Save (DC 14? Pfffft!), they lose 1d6 Constitution. If it was a dread wraith, however, it is a DC 25 Fortitude Save (and again I saw...pfffft!) and 1d8 Constitution damage. And that's still higher than Khaira's, so she would not be slain Mr. Arrogant, Cocky, Ever Doubtful. :-P It also clearly explains why she couldn't grab the brush! CHAOTIC EVIL HEART! *Ahem* Chaotic NEUTRAL heart, you mean. :D Besides, I haven't seen a certain lazy knight take any action...he's leaving it all to the bardess. The supposedly chaotic evil bardess. So...if a good person lets the "evil" person do all the work, what does that make the good person? :P |
