Seeing that the boards are a wee bit slow, I thought I would throw out a bone of fun ideas

So what famous person reminds your Character?
Or perhaps another persons Char?
Feel free to share with us on the MOP :P

Now for me, I got a big laugh when it dawned on me about one guy who just seems sooooo like Agudo. :embarrass

Let’s see before I mention the name Ill show you why

This person....
1) Loves to say his name over and over and over
2) He is a Motivational Speaker
3) Spreads his Philosophy everywhere he can, its called (Intelligent for your Life)
4) Has several books out, with his name and picture, in bold print
5) Takes people on Sea Cruises, just so they can hear him talk about himself and his ideas
6) Sings (Ok Agudo doesn’t sing buuuut soon lol)
7) Has a Web Address named after him, with all his books songs and Philosophy in it.
8) He looks kind of like Agudo, without the beard and long hair
9) He has been on TV as a host of a famous program
10) Has his own Radio Show, just to talk about himself and his ideas
11) His Ego is as big as Agudo.....and that’s scary because this guy is real
12) Wants to help people, and seems sincere, if a little self promoting as well

Alright, this looks like fun! I couldn't think of a real life personality for any of my characters (yet!) but I was able to think of someone who reminded me a little of PoisonBlade's character, Kanzeil.

(I hope this doesn't offend anyone!)

http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongtruekanzeil.gif

Here we go:

He is a minister who has many followers.
He treats physical ailments with faith healing.
He has claimed that the power of God works through him to cure those he heals.
Unbeknownst to those who believe him he is a decieving individual who is not at all like he portrays, he extorts his followers and tricks people into doing what he wants them to do. (In his case, send him money for his "generously" donated miracles.)

He is. . . . :bounce: . . . Click Here (http://www.peterpopoff.org/)

Hahhaha that was great Eidrog loved it :D

But I did think of a couple of "Real Life" people that remind me of your other Chars.
1) He acts all sly
2) People should watch there coin purse
3) Women have been known to swoon around him

Granted this Real Life Person is playing a Character
But seems soooo familiar (((cough))) Kheldar

I have found the real life Khaira! I've been thinking about it for a while now, and began thinking, "Gods ... there isn't a real life Khaira!".
But tonight at work, I suddenly realized that I'd realized the PERFECT Khaira.

(Don't feel bad if you don't recognize this person ... I'm a country music fan, after all)

She has:

red hair
endured a grand number of "demons" (aka, conflicts and troubles)
been VERY successful as a muscial artist
attempts to weave messages of hope, love, and optimism into her music

Who is she?

Alright, WTMFF now?! Are we on the old boards, or on the new boards? What about the messages already posted to the new - are they lost? How are we supposed to proceed now? I'm not getting it, and after weeks of screwing with bureaucratic systems irl, i have very little patience left fo spit i ain't getting! Ugh! And now the pages fail to open and it takes 7 repeated attempts to post anything even here. I'm getting the impression WotC are looking to reduce the load on the boards by driving everyone off with frustration.

More to the point:
Lol, Khaira! When i read the list, i was afraid you're gonna say Tori Amos. Myself, i always thought there's a semblance between Khaira and Jahira from BG, though the classes don't match. Speaking of BG characters, wasn't Agudo married to Aerie? And Keldorn Firecam - i just realized it's supposed to be the same one, lol. Anyway, i'll go reply at the other threads now, so don't teach MY hamster to suck eggs!

Jaheira's accent is a little thick but, yeah, I can see Jaheira being a Khaira. And, though I've never seen it explicitly stated, I'd surmise a guess that both she and Khalid are Harpers. Regardless, I can't definitely see Jaheira as an early Khaira-that-wasn't-Khaira. The personality doesn't quite fit for Khaira-3.5

That Jaheira and Khalid are harpers is explicitly stated all over the place, asopcially in BG 2. As for 3.5 - well, nothing really fits 3.5, or as the band Pixies would put it:
Pioneers of Third Eddition
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
They thought they had a freaking mission
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
But it was the dumbst vision
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
Our worst fears came to fruition

Hasbro's lackeys stand on the Coast line
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
Three poit five doesn't make no sence
Sometimes Wizards can be oh so dense
We didn't want it but they built it anyway
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
Hasbro's lackeys stand on the Coast line
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
Three poit five don't make sence
Three poit five doesn't make no... SENCE!
(Hasbro's lackeys, Hasbro's lackeys)
Hasbro's lackeys stand on the Coast line

Oh my poor players, i see you beyond the coastline of Third Edition
Oh my poor players, i see you beyond the coastline of Third Edition
Oh my poor players, i see you beyond the coastline of Third Edition...

Really? I've never seen that stated, actually; or maybe I did, and just forgot about.
Of course, I've never gotten to BG 2, either.

And hah! That's great! I love that song. The same sentiments were expressed by the Old Sage:

"That attitude should be stomped on, whenever and wherever it’s encountered, because it makes people holding such views bad citizens, not just bad roleplayers (considering D&D was structured as a “forced cooperation” game, and although successive editions are pointing it more and more towards a me-first, min-max game, the drift away from “we all need each other to succeed” will at some point make it “no longer” D&D). The temperament of Khaira could easily be contrasted with Jaheira in some ways

On the other hand Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai, I got a big laugh out of that Harper/BG2 slap down

Picks Khaira up off the ground
I can see I am not the only fanatic BG around here :D

But It did reminded me of a Star-Trek debate, on some obscure moment in the show

(Treky 1) Everyone knows that Vulcans are green blooded!

(Treky 2) The racist comments by that white sheet KKK human doctor, does not prove Vulcan’s are green blooded!

But really Khaira you should play BG2.....join the us fanatics now :P

Meh, BG2 made the harpers look really stupid, and as corrupt as anyone else. As quite a harperlover, i think that was a mistake on the game's part. But my REAL grudge on BG2 is that your romance options are so limited. Sure, Vykonia and Aerie are great {and i guess Jaheira too, if you're a submissive gerontophiliac. Ok, here's a difference from Khaira!}, but i want Mazzieeeeeeeeeeeee!!! She's so much like my irl purrrincess, both in appearance, personality, and even tone! Ironically enough, she {my lady, i mean, irl} has a bitter enemy whose real name is Mazi {pronounced the same as i figure Mazzy is}, which makes the similarity totally wierd.
Hmm, now that i think of it, what romance options do the ladies have? I know Haer'Dalis is for the bi/gay males, but whom do the girls get to chose from?

Well I agree about Mazzy Fentan, for I am using Mazzy in my Spine of the World MOP game
She the female herro all us guys want as a Knight and a Halfling :D

As far as BG love for women...they get a young Knight by the name of Anomen Delryn
He is found at the Copper Coronet in the slums
I am one of the few who likes his classic voice...even the game makes fun of it :embarrass

Hey now! No treasure hunting under Khaira's skirts! And here I thought Agudo was a civilized person... :P

Oh, I fully intend on playing Baldur's Gate 2; it looks like a really good game, :cheer: and besides ... it's SECOND EDITION! :dancin:

However three necessities prevent me, at this time from playing the game:
I still need to finish the first Baldur's Gate
I need to acquire the monetary requirements to purchase the game
I need a computer that doesn't take ten minutes to open an internet window!!!!! Argh.

Meh, BG2 made the harpers look really stupid, and as corrupt as anyone else. As quite a harperlover, i think that was a mistake on the game's part.

 :censored: :headexplo
Somebody made the Harpers look stupid? Fools! Blasphemers! Foul, uncivilized, ungrateful heretics!

Wait - all the chicks get is the bloody helmite? No other choice? Huh, thank Selune i wasn't born a woman. They should've given them a choice of three, like the one men have: either Edwyn or that scotch dwarf for the evil variant {analogy to Vykonia}, either Minsc or Keldorn for the good variant {analogy to Aerie}, and for the neutral variant {analogy to Jaheira}... Yoshimo? Jan? Anything's better than Anomen. Oh, and for the queer variant {analogy to Haer'Dalis} i suggest Nalia.
