Just use those. There may have been some plot to Gauntlet, but it never was important. Go steal the shiny whozle back from the evil overlord and stuff, that's usually all the players care about too. |

Tis true. Infact you may want to use 3.0 rules (gasp!) Warrior=Barbarian Wizard=Wizard (Can cast spontanously, use spellpoint varaint) Archer=Hyborian Ranger http://hyboria.xoth.net/prestige-classes/hyborian_ranger.htm Valkyrie=Paladin (I'd increase hit die to d12 and smite apply to ranged attacks to accomodate for suckyness, like the wizard can cast spontanously and uses spellpoint varaint) To make the game more gritty as the game I would also do the following; Massive Damage: Massive damage is equal to your con score, whenever massive damage would be dealt you have to make a fort save equal to damage dealt or die. Elf Needs Food: Be stricter on getting hungery, you need to eat every three-hours ingame or make a fortitude save of 15 or become fatigue, you will remain fatigue untill you've eaten. If you don't eaten within another 6 in-game hours you have to make a fortitude save of 15 again or you will become exhausted. Then in another 24 in-game hours if you don't eat you have to make another fortitde save of 15 or die. Even if you succeed, every 2 in-game hours you will have to make the fort save again. Use Magic Device: All classes have this skill as a class-skill. No max HP: You don't get max HP at first level. Roll 3d6 six times for stats: It may sound horrible, but it's not really, just a bit grittier. I rolled some stats right now and this is what I got. 9 14 16 8 17 14 |
