I'm not sure if this is the proper board for this but here it goes:

I'm wondering if anyone can think of any "good" videogames that are based on or around the d20 system. I liked the system used in the KOTOR games.

Baldur's Gate. The whole series has been stayed as faithful as it is possible to be while not devolving to turn-based rules-crunching.

Can't think of any others off of the top of my head.

Yeah, I've played Baldur's Gate I & II on the PC. I was thinking more along the lines of console RPGs. How are the BG: Dark Alliance games? I've heard they're more of a mix of Gauntlet Legends than a true RPG.

They have the 3.0 rule set but it is very loose about it. It's more like Diablo than Gauntlet.

The only other one I can think of is Dungeon and dragons game for the GBA, Eye of the Beholder. It is 3.0 as well (it is actually at remake of the old eye of the beholder for SNES)

It doesn't really have to be strictly d20. Just any game with fairly in-depth stat customization (CON, DEX, etc. or the equivalent).

Oooh, you should try Elder Scrolls: Oblivion! Funnest 50 hours I ever wasted on a game, and I didn't even come close to beating it.

Yeah, I hated Morrowind, but Oblivion is great. A friend has it on 360. Any suggestions for PS2 or XBOX?

Fallout and Torment on PC are both great, but they aren't exactly D20.

Mass Effect on 360 is going to be sweet.

I also suggest Champions of Norrath on PS2 or Xbox, and Jade empire on Xbox.

Ouch. In that case, you're better off with a Final Fantasy game. FFVII is very fun and very replayable.

NHL 98.
No I would have to agree with FF7. I also think FFT could work.

World of warcraft is playable on vista, since the betas. FFXI works as well, but requires you to install it, then paste an updated copy into it's directory. unless square has released a patched version of their update downloader. last i heard, obivion also works in vista. many emulators can still be jerry rigged to work as well.

Temple of Elemental Evil.
It's a 3.5e PC game rendition of the old D&D module.
