| WizO_Siani10-06-03, 09:53 PM | Characters here, and dice results that people want or need to do, OOC comments pertaining to the storyline etc. |
| Nugan10-06-03, 09:54 PM | Is this an Open thread? Can anyone join? Meaning, of course, can I join? |
| WizO_Siani10-06-03, 09:56 PM | Good point Nugan, thank you. Yes, it is open, on the following conditions. A word to those who may wish to participate as we go along; this will be very solidly Greyhawk and non-epic in character. In addition, the party currently consists of a Paladin of Mayaheine, a Cleric of St. Cuthbert, and a Sentinel of Pelor, so nothing that clashes horribly with these sorts of characters and alignments should be brought in as a part of the group. Thank you Siani |
| Nugan10-06-03, 10:12 PM | Cool. :) Will a strong knowledge of Greyhawk be necessary? Or can I get by with the PHB stuff? Will I need a character sheet? |
| Arathil10-06-03, 10:41 PM | Sentinel, reporting in... "A word to those who may wish to participate as we go along; this will be very solidly Greyhawk..." The preceding quote is not meant as chastisement, but rather as emphasis. I myself am an avid fan of the Greyhawk setting; Siani, in turn, has played in Greyhawk in all existing editions of Dungeons & Dragons, and is quite familiar with the background, the NPCs, and so forth. Hm... Ignore the rest of this post, and scroll down to see WizO Siani's subsequent reply. I seem to have erred; my bad. Knowing only what I know about the adventure, I can tell you that well-known Greyhawk NPCs, locations, and political situations will be featured, in regards to which any Greyhawk PC would be expected to have definite knowledge and opinions. Currently, the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer is probably your best bet as far as quickly immersing yourself in a few of the setting's details. Greyhawk is a very rich setting, and there is a great deal more information than that to be had; if you've got some patience and perseverence, try Canonfire (http://www.canonfire.com) (I believe that's the link; try 'cannon' and various other standard .endings if that doesn't work). There's a great deal of worthwhile information there; there's also a lot of junk, but the good stuff is there and there's the up-side of not having to go out and spend $20+. As far as Character Sheets, I've been working on mine all evening, and I believe Siani mentioned that she had hers going as well..? It's going to be a standard game, so aye, sheets will be a necessity, as with any tabletop run. Welcome aboard, Nugan, assuming you didn't fall asleep reading my post... |
| WizO_Simon10-06-03, 11:03 PM | Simon Thorne, Billet of the Cudgel and Inquisitor General of Ford Keep Reporting in. I have to say I'm looking foward to this one, Ready to bring a little extra Righteous might to the group...and I suppose I shall perform a healing or two while I'm at it, if I must. Hehehe |
| WizO_Siani10-06-03, 11:05 PM | Okay, thanks for that Arathil, however I must correct you on some points. A) PHB knowledge will do, though Living Greyhawk Gazetteer or even the plain old Gazetteer will help. B) Yes, this will feature a great deal of stuff from the World of Greyhawk, to include certain iconic NPCs and many things peculiar to the world itself. C) You do not have to have a character sheet, if you can free form consistently and within the boundaries set by a non-epic PC based on classed from the PHB, the class books, and Dungeon and Dragon magazines. I don't mind being very descriptive, especially for those who don''t know the setting really well. I'm that way when I DM anyway. Weather, encumbrance, fatigue, etc, all will play a part here. Everyone will be contributing to the adventure through interaction, debate, and reaction. *grins* If I get this right it should be quite a ride. LOL Siani |
| WizO_Siani10-06-03, 11:21 PM | Lady Dame Siani of Mayaheine Here she is, at least as much as I will put out for public consumption at the moment. For those who are interested, enjoy. By no means must the rest of you do it this way. ~ An athletic and well-proportioned woman of above average height, she has the healthy look of one used to simple living. Rich, auburn hair frames her face and is worn braided and hangs to her hips. Her face is fine boned yet strong of line; the jaw being a bit too wide for true beauty, though her brown eyes are deep set and contemplative. Her nose is straight and her mouth perhaps a bit too small, the lower lip more full than the upper. Her hands are callused yet dexterous; the fingers long and slender, their nails well kept at a reasonable length. Long, muscular legs make her seem taller than she truly is. ~ Her armor consists of full mail to include integral coif, chausses, gloves, a darkwood heavy shield, and a barrel helm with torse and mantle in red and gold. A dagger and warhammer ride her hip, a bastard sword is sheathed across her back, the hilts in easy reach over her shoulder. When mounted she carries a lance with a pennant bearing a gryphon worked in red and gold. When armored thusly a tougher version of the cappa clausa is worn over the mail, providing protection from the sun and boldly displaying Mayaheines' symbol. | Arathil10-07-03, 02:00 AM | Mmm... Arathil's going to remain a Ranger/Holy Warrior, and probably Neutral Good. I'm fairly disgruntled over the shift to LG; it's not my style, and I don't play it as well. It also strikes me as being just-slightly cheesy. Looking over the Knight of the Chalice class... A number of the abilities are redundant as far as powers I've already got as a Sentinel, or would have if I simply continued to advance as a Sentinel. The rest are potent, but fairly limited: Unless we encounter several highly powerful demons over the course of this adventure... which is heading directly opposite Iuz... they're completely useless. I'm looking back at something which was said during the chat session that occured immediately prior to the creation of these boards, and pondering a slight change of prestige. I'm ready to freeform Arathil. His actual sheet will be complete by tomorrow evening and his basic principle (a ranger-turned-sentinel who's entered into a somewhat secretive knightly organization) is going to remain unchanged, as will his level distribution. |
| WizO_Simon10-07-03, 08:41 AM | Simon is a Lawful Neutral Fighter1/Cleric 17, with the domains Strength and Destruction. I found it better to just take the level of fighter to get all the martial weapons and such and the extra feat doesn't hurt either, but..that's what you're looking at with Simon. Here the full thing Simon Thorne is not a tall man, only a 5’2”. He has a muscular frame, with thick arms. He appears to be of indeterminate age. His skin unnaturally pale, and his hair pure white and long down past his shoulders. Icy blue eyes stare at you warily seemingly prepared for anything, even the most horrific of events to happen at a moments notice. He is wearing a Highly polished plate armor with the Symbol of St Cuthbert prominently displayed in gold on the breastplate. A Dark blue hooded cloak hangs over his shoulders. Fastened to the armor by two more of the billet symbols of Cuthbert. Around his waist a thick white-scaled belt holds two weapons. A highly polished heavy looking mace on the left side of his belt. He walks with a dangerous gait, with an ever-watchful eye. | WizO_Siani10-07-03, 08:45 AM | ]Rocky the Dwarf... Fighter/Thief may I join your group. Yes, you can join, as long as you can stick to the conditions I posted before. Welcome aboard. Pursuant to some requests to join this adventure, it is high time I set some things forth about this. This is going to be light on dice gang. I expect a lot of directed free-form play, but I definitely expect people to stay in character and play off of what is actually happening during the adventure. People who want to roll to see what their character does or to respond to a given situation are free to so, but post the rolls here for the record. I myself will use dice off an on in any case. Play in the setting is an absolute requirement. The setting is Oerth, the Flanaess, from the Domain of Greyhawk down to the Wild Coast and the Pomarj, or at least the remnants of what was County Ulek. Some of this game is likely to be done in the Lair or Dungeon on occasion, as well as Limbo. In addition, relevant parts will be played in the Tavern, especially the parts leading up to the departure and the parts after the return. The nature of what we are doing will be made clear in the opening posts to the main story thread as well as in the tavern during this week. Rocky, if you miss us in the tavern you might consider watching a bit and then joining the group along the way. Just a suggestion. If there are any questions please post them here, email me, or PM me on site in the chat rooms. My MSN name is Nemain if someone wants to talk to me that way. Siani |
| Fairfeather10-07-03, 09:03 PM | Greetings. I've an interest in joining, if you'd have me. I've read the pertinent rules, and my mind is currently busy at work pondering a character concept (*watches the hamster turn the wheel inside her head*). I'm fairly familiar with Flanaess, and I possess the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, as well. :) |
| WizO_Siani10-07-03, 10:15 PM | Welcome aboard. Where and when were you considering joining the group? We do play on site in the chatrooms too. Siani |
| Traveler10-08-03, 12:06 PM | Just out of curiousity, will you be closing the thread after a certain number of players have signed on or after a certain time? I would very much like to join the campaign, but right now I am really really busy both IRL and on site. Would I still be able to join say next week, or even in a couple of weeks if it comes to that? |
| WizO_Siani10-08-03, 10:21 PM | Just out of curiousity, will you be closing the thread after a certain number of players have signed on or after a certain time? I would very much like to join the campaign, but right now I am really really busy both IRL and on site. Would I still be able to join say next week, or even in a couple of weeks if it comes to that? A good question and I will answer it for everyones' benefit: At this point I have no plans to close the thread for any particular reason. However, I should point out that joining this thread once it is well under way will require a bit of timing, since just popping out of nowhere won't work. There must be a reason for the characters to appear when they do and it must fit what is and has been going on in the setting and make no assumptions such as long lost friendships and so on. This is to be a run of total immersion into the characters and the setting of Greyhawk. I will allow no OOC talk of any sort whatsoever on this thread; all will be made on the OOC companion thread. Characters must be played true to type and not forced to work with the party. Characters must be well thought out and non-epic in nature; this means not godlike, not part god, not part demon, drow, or anything else. We are playing pretty straight stuff here gang. If anyone wishes to give it a go, then by all means do so, within the criterion given. If you are coming in late then look hard at the posts and consider contacting me; some of this game will played realtime on the chat site. Enter your character in an intelligent and well reasoned manner. Keep in mind that all reactions and actions on the main thread will be IC only. Siani |
| Fairfeather10-09-03, 08:51 PM | Alright. I've finished a physical description of my character. Character sheet forthcoming. Myhnara is somewhat tall for an elf, standing perhaps three inches over five feet. Her lithe frame is sleekly muscular, and she moves with the effortless grace common to her people, seeming to flow from one smooth movement to the next. Her hair falls in soft, silky waves of rich chestnut to the small of her back, when unbound; normally, she keeps it tied back or loosely braided. Her skin is fair, smooth, and unblemished, perhaps with a hint of light tanning from long hours spent outdoors. Myhnara's eyes are a brilliant green, almond shaped and slightly tilted, the highlight of a finely-featured, attractive countenance. Her general expression and manner is good-natured and easy-going. She typically dresses in servicable adventuring gear, perhaps the most notable of which is her armour: it is made of overlapping scales of green-tinted leather, each a slightly different colour, resembling leaves. Emblazoned over the breast is a rampant unicorn, white and edged with silver. Otherwise, her garb is fairly unremarkable, consisting of plain leathers one might expect to see worn by woodsfolk, over which is a hooded grey cloak. Her visible weaponry consists of a slightly curved longsword at her left hip, and a fine composite longbow, pure white in colour. Both are elegant in design, adorned with natural motifs, and obviously of elvish make. |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-09-03, 10:58 PM | .As by your command oh Siani the wise wizo Rocky is a fighter/thief level 8 on both classes. He is neutral, but for this story with proper guidance, he is chaotic good. He equipment is one axe and one hammer, with a knife in his shoe, belt, thigh and under his hat. Basic thieving tools and a brown bag full of personal things like food, sleeping bag, water and two invisibility positions. His background is pretty cut throat, born from a clan that still dominates the eastern mountain of Greyhawk. He set out as a lad to see the world, before he would be obligated to take over his mother job; as third assistant to the head of the ironsmith league. Since most dwarfs live to be hundreds of years old, this was ok with his clan. “Sow some oats, as it would be, wile he young.” It’s been ten years since he left, and it may be another ten before he does. Sadly Rocky got involved with less than honorable group adventures, who taught him to be blood thirsty in the most murders ways. Rocky is more than able to kill a stranger, for no other reason than because they looked at him wrong. Recently he had a change of heart, after a particularly deadly treasure hunt. Leetah a good Cleric had touched him with her words. Kat another young woman seem to help him focus more on friendship than the lust for gold. Even though he hates wizards, one magic user Agudo that traveled with them, seem to preach about the “Light” as if he believed it. All these annoying goody goods helped Rocky see the error of his ways, and he is trying to become a better dwarf. (All this took place in another story called Honor Among Thieves) |
| WizO_Pounamu10-10-03, 03:22 AM | No, I'm not coming with you. Hehe! Just that you're currently with "my husband" in "my new home". ;) :P ________ Current chat description: A woman standing about 5'7", she moves with a gentle swaying grace once more. Her skin is a rich, earthy brown, her lips full as if ready to smile. Her liquid green eyes are so dark they seem almost black yet with hints of unexpected colours. Her thick black hair is slowly growing past her shoulders again. The wave almost covers a small patch on the left side of her neck that is badly scarred from some fire. The broken form of Common (english) she speaks and the rich, round accent betrays her far distant origin. At times she breaks into the language of her own people (Maaori), vastly unknown in these lands. Now she wears a fitting white tunic, laced up the front (emphasising her curves) and with long, slim sleeves, but covers up by a shirt she wears mostly closed over the top. Beneath is a long green skirt of heavy fabric, brushing the floor around her bare feet. At her throat hang two pendants on separate cords; the silver medallion of the Balance (symbol of the Marshals of Juxta) and a heavy piece of dark, almost black greenstone (jade). Her left ringfinger displays a simple wedding band, the skin against it heat-scarred. ______________ - http://www.geocities.com/wizo_pounamu/pouicon.txt Pounamu |

| WizO_Siani10-17-03, 07:43 AM | Hiya Dorn If you look at some of the earlier posts you will see the conditions for becoming a part of this storyline. Those conditions are absolute in so far as the setting and the characters are concerned. In other words, it is the Greyhawk setting, so nothing from FR, Krynn, Erthsea, or any other setting is allowed in. Characters are consistent. In other words, they can't be made up as we go along, which is why I have to see some sort of outline of who they are and what they have. It does not have to be a character sheet, but it should contain much of the same info. I am using D&D 3.5 rules for this one, nearly completely. As long as you can abide by the conditions set for playing in the storyline, then you are most welcome to join in. Siani |
| Drekath10-17-03, 12:58 PM | As per Siani's Request, here is Drekath the Flind. Drekath stands 6'6" tall. His face has Hyena-like features and rounded ears on the top of his head. His eyes are dark brown in color, and look around with curiosity. Cleaner than most creatures of his type he has a long yellow mane which flows down past his shoulders, and over the rest of his body reddish brown fur with dark spots. His legs, look rather like the hind legs of some sort of canine creature and end in small clawed feet. In his right ear is a large golden loop. He is wearing scale armor with a thick belt around his waist. On his left, hangs a longsword and on his right a nunchuku like weapon As well as a large multi-pocketed belt pouch. | WizO_Siani10-17-03, 06:48 PM | Hiya Gang! Right then, the adventure proper will kick off soon. In light of this, I am going to ask everyone to review their character and make any ammendments or changes to them they might want. Once the adventure itself is under way there will be no further changing of the characters save for things that happen during the adventure itself. Everyone involved should have character info posted here or submitted to me. It does not have to be a character sheet per se, but it should contain much the same info. For those not yet actively involved, wait for a good chance to properly RP and entrance, post your character here first (thanks Dorn!) and then have fun. Note on characters: I will not, as a rule, object to things characters have, but make sure the value of your stuff (to include magic) stays within + or - 10% of the amount listed in the DMG for a character of your level. :) Thanks a lot! Siani |
| Dorn_Stormhammer10-17-03, 07:12 PM | Fine by me. :) Once I get your approval I'll bring him in. Dorn Stormhammer. Hailing from one of the Dwarfholds in the Barrier Peaks. Dorn left his holding after the death of his young wife, unable to bear remaining there without her to be by his side, and needing to escape the painful memory of her death, he left his Clan, and began a journey throughout the lands of Oerth, seeking advanture, and something to focus upon. As the years past so died the pain he felt from his wife death, so he set out to return to his Homeland only for himself, and his companions to be ambushed by a group of Hill Giants, their over confidence getting the best of them, Dorn Suffered a nasty blow to the head, then an even nastier ride down a hill side as the wagon he was riding in was struck, and sent rolling down a hill. Fortunately this allowed the wounded Dwarf to survive where his friends were unable to, he forced himself to his fight, and headed for the closest town, he ended up at a keep only to slump nearly died upon reaching the gates. Taking to the Infirmary he was slowly nursed back to health. Unfortunately his memory seems to be missing. He remembers only his name, and his deadly skill with weapons. | WizO_Siani10-20-03, 10:29 PM | Right guys, a word on this. Make sure you pay close attention to how you insert your characters into the storyline. No assuming that one knows everyone already, or that one is a guest at a private residence without getting the other players permission. I will be creating moments when it will be fairly easy to insert a character into the action with a bit of thought. Please wait for one of those and don't make assumptions about other characters. THanks a lot. It saves me headaches. Siani |
| WizO_Siani10-22-03, 10:16 AM | Hiya gang Okay, some things have happened that will affect the storyline. Essentially, Siani fought a losing battle against the demon Baalodias in the Clearing last night. In order to keep everyone on the same OOC informational footing, I am considering posting some of the battle here. If I do, it will be added to this post. Siani |
| WizO_Siani10-22-03, 01:17 PM | Here it is gang edited of course. There was more naturally, setup PMs and so on, and the aftermath in the tavern, but this is the battle. Enjoy. Jaya Ballath eases down the path from the 'Roads, wineglass and bottle in hand.. and eventually takes up post leaning against a tree near the edge. Baalodias appears atop in the trees, a pair of mammoth wings shadowing the ground below you... barely makes a sound. Siani hauls 'Valor' from his sheath with a shout, the blade glowing a bright gold with her anger Siani cleaves a pell in twain and growls out curses Baalodias is suddenly not within the trees any longer, the woods growing in an eerie silence. Siani "Damn you Baal, what are you playing at? You've wanted a piece of me for some time now. Come and get it, if you can." Siani "C'mon damn you!" Baalodias 's shrill laughter can be heard in many volumes, sometimes so loud that he seems behind you, but then subsiding to a distance. Siani pulls her helm on and slides her shield into place Ladyshade peeks her head out of the tavern silently. Siani "Cowardly eh? Can't show yourself? Have to hide?" Siani turns slowly, watching, waiting. Siani stands in a fighters crouch, listening, scenting the wind Siani o O ( This would go better mounted... ) Baalodias looms large ahead about 100' from Siani, behind her view and begins a descent towards the ground, a diving motion with large, gnarled claws at the ready. Assuming this is successful, he appears mere moments before unleashing two rakes upon Siani's back. Siani turns carefully, feeling a sudden change in the wind and rolling, but not quite making it out of the way Siani grunts as the talons rake across her mail, shredding her surcoat Baalodias "Ha Ha Ha!" Siani o O ( Strong as an ox, damn him! ) Siani comes to her feet in a crouch, waiting, turning Jaya Ballath sighs, setting aside the bottle, and unslings his staff.. shifting his weight to it, he speaks into the wind, "M'Lord Baalodias would do best to cease this scuffle. The neutrality held for little more than a single evening is lost, should the Lady Keep come to harm." Siani doffs her helm in a swift move, listening intently Baalodias attempts to cloud Siani's mind with the psionic effect of "murmuring masses", largely to assist with his attacks while she is distracted. Siani shakes her head for a moment, blinking, before her gaze sharpens again Baalodias o O ( tp Jaya> You will do nothing. We have no quarrel, remember? ) Siani "Playing games are we? Come along then, see how long it takes to beat me down, dog!" Baalodias quickly dashes across the ground at her 6'o clock and attempts to uproot her from the ground with a mighty slash. Siani hears him coming and turns, slashing out with her sword as his blow connects with her shield Siani sails through the air and collides with one of the stones, dropping and lying still for a moment Baalodias is slashed across the forearm of his opposite side and screeches in pain. Jaya Ballath calls out once Baal reappears, shifting his staff before him, "I nae have any quarrels. Until someone in higher regard is shown disrespect." Siani rolls over with effort, pulling her knees up beneath her Siani looks up, a trickle of blood running from the corner of her mouth and a ragged cough sounding Baalodias sneers with venemous spite at Siani and gorges the strength to unleash a fireball at her direction Siani gets to her feet and staggers to her sword. Baalodias hopefully catching her dazed Siani straightens and mutters a Word, lightning arcing forth from her hands Ladyshade squints. Siani is engulfed in flames and slumps again Siani groans, grinds her teeth, and staggers to her feet again. Jaya Ballath jerks an arm forward, spewing a mass of arcana... causing the air to ripple between himself and Baal. Baalodias nurses his wound while she is down temporarily Siani picks up her sword, tossing aside her useless shield Siani grasps it in two hands and begins a staggering advance Siani "You'll have to kill me, Baal. I won't stop, you know." Baalodias "And fall into the trap that awaits me upon return to the tavern? No, your death would only mean more trouble for me." Siani snarls and charges him, swinging the blade down and around the side Siani "Damn you!" Baalodias is struck by a forcelance by Jaya and staggers back, absorbing the slashes by Siani. Siani swings the blade in a deadly arc, but overbalances and falls in a heap Ladyshade grits her teeth. Siani tries to crawl to her feet yet again Baalodias screeches again in an unearthly, hellish tone. Siani crawls to a stone and pulls herself erect, leaning on it Baalodias roars abominously at Jaya. "You disrespect a duel?!" Jaya Ballath shifts the staff to his other hand, nodding, "I do." Siani "Jaya! Stand clear. " Jaya Ballath eyes Siani.. Siani "This is for me to do. Or not." Siani straightens, the smoldering bits of her surcoat falling away Ladyshade watches things darkly. Siani turns her scorched and blistered face to Baal Siani raises her sword Siani "Time to end it, Baal." Baalodias "You people have no grasp of precedent. This is an outrage!" Jaya Ballath glowers, glancing between the fighting pair, and takes a step back at Siani's request. Siani snarls and screams fiercely as she charges Siani delivers a final, overhead blow at Baal Baalodias readies this time for Siani's charge and brings up his claws to deflect her swings and sidesteps once her charge has been avoided, attempting to swing his fist into her lower back. Siani misses him, stumbles, and absorbs the full impact of his blow, slamming against a stone and falling senseless to the groud. Ladyshade shoots Jaya a look now. Jaya Ballath stands as he is, jaw rigid. Siani tendrils of smoke rise from her body Baalodias breathes steadily, hobbled somewhat by her blows. He uses support of his wings to glide over to the fallen body of Siani. Ka'yn enters the clearing Siani lies bloody and broken at the base of the stone Baalodias kicks over Siani's body to where she is lying face up. Ladyshade starts foreward herself now. "Alright Baal!..You've won." Jaya Ballath "Dunnae expect to leave this clearing if she cannae, m'Lord Baalodias.." Ka'yn Gasps! Baalodias "I have but one last act..." Ka'yn gapes at Siani, then whirls to look at Baalodias Ladyshade seems to mirror Jaya's sentiments as she draws her sword.. Jaya Ballath "It shall wait. And ye shall leave." ladyshade "Aye. Now!" Ladyshade kicks into a run. Baalodias rears back and begins to conjure the volume and breadth of Infernal fire and with one enormous movement, hurls a sheet of flames over Siani's body, crispening her clothing and terribly scarring her skin. Ka'yn flies to Siani's side Ka'yn evidently running right into some kind of fire.. Siani lies motionless, smoking and blistered, Ladyshade "NO!" Jaya Ballath gestures, the various illusions and enchantments around him rippling from the dispersal.. letting an arc of blue-white 'fire' launch arcross the clearing towards Baalodias, "Die.." Ladyshade snarls, and providing she ever gets close, takes a slash at Baal herself. Baalodias literally bakes Siani's body until it is nearly ash, but still intact. Ka'yn's lips are already moving with the needed words for healing graces, one hand thrown up against whatever evil the wretch still has Baalodias is struck by Jaya's spell and goes pummeling away into trees, knocking them over...however Siani is spared further incineration Jaya Ballath stalks across the clearing towards the trees, shifting the staff back into his left hand.. leveling it towards the path carved by Baalodias. Ka'yn tears at her robes, yanking elements from different pockets, preparing the most potent healing she knows Baalodias "Another time you may exact your revenge! My deed is done." Baalodias shaken from the spell but garners enough strength to hoist himself into the air and begins to fly away from the clearing. Ladyshade hesitates towards moving after and looks down to Ka'yn and Siani. Ladyshade o O ( Gods I always forget my bow at the wrong blasted times! ) |

| WizO_Pounamu10-24-03, 02:13 PM | Right you lot! This is where I stop slipping Pounamu into your game because she's not coming with you. The brighter amongst your party would realise that she may wish to take the head of whomever allows distinct harm to come to her husband, if she hears of it. The cart is, of course, well laden with more food than they could possibly require for the journey to the boarder and possibly the instructions not to permit the core group to slip away past the border without proper supplies and a good meal. Have fun, I'll be reading too! - http://www.geocities.com/wizo_pounamu/pouicon.txt Pounamu |
| WizO_Siani10-24-03, 02:50 PM | OKay gang, a word on how this is going to work timewise, especially for those of us who have been playing realtime in the tavern. Since the party will be using teleportation to traverse large areas of ground, getting to the target area, and returning isn't much of a problem, though the circumstances arising from those movements might be. Siani, Simon, and Arathil won't be seen in the tavern for the next few days. This is the time they are actually observing, or trying to, activities in the target area. When next we are in the tavern and playing realtime, we will speaking of the adventure in past tense terms. Here on the boards, we can detail out the days spent poking about as we will, so don't hesitate to add details to your posts. A lot can happen in a full day cycle. Magic makes a lot of things very possible. If we get into trouble there, well, I'll deal with that as I need to at the time. Getting into trouble in this case refers to being discovered and, at worst, being 'run out of town'. Fighting withdrawals can offer interesting subplots for later activity. This is, supposedly, a recon mission. That means we try to avoid the locals. The idea is to bring information back so that others can use it to determine a course of action. No plan survives contact. If it looks interesting enough to do so at whatever point, we can use Limbo for some of the RP. Siani |
