| Lucere08-31-03, 12:50 AM | The elf known as Lucere smiled at his "aquiring" of this building in Juxta. The previous owner had a terrible accident with drinking of his wine. Somehow dark reaver powder had found its way into the poor man's nightly glass..... Most people would not be overly happy with the gaining of a shack like this, but Lucere was. He needed somewhere and this would do quite nicely for the type of work he does. Now for finding applicants to help him with his buisness... The elf made no sound as he changed into his black wolf form. He was born this way and had lon gotten use to the change. He walked in his new form and laid down in the corner, waiting for those that head heard the word on the street to come. ((OOC This is open to all. It is to be the begining of an assains guild in juxta.)):b: |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai08-31-03, 09:11 AM | ((OOC: which would you rather have me play: an evil {discended} wfa`mix (http://www.designnectar.net/dyverside/community/english/viewtopic.php?p=1020#1020), or a pathologic lyar who's although good-alligned, is fond of assasination (http://www.designnectar.net/dyverside/community/english/viewtopic.php?p=143#143)?)) |
| Lucere08-31-03, 12:39 PM | ((OOC after looking over the characters I think the evil mix will be better. Good aligned characters are possible in this guild, but most likely they will not stay for long. Any good aligned character will but heads with lucere around every turn. And anyways after reading about Zin I have some ideas pop into my head that he would be perfect for :D )) |
| Golddigger Dwarf08-31-03, 08:54 PM | A dwarf walks in, he doesn’t knock nor does he smile or say anything at first. He belches and then chuckles, as he sits down at a table; in this run down hovel of a shack. “Well now I be seeking employment, ye know the kind. Thy coin for me bloody scalps that I bring ye. Now I don’t take credit or other stuff, ye be paying up front for each head. No funny business with dues or taxes.” He then eyes the man in charge of this reached hive, of scum and villainy. |
| Lucere08-31-03, 09:34 PM | The wolf loped to the side of the dwarf. He looked him up and down, and upon deciding that he would work well enough for now he shifted back into his elven form.Speakingme in a voice that sounds like rusty metal grating"Well now, aren't you the demanding dwarf" He then started to pour some wine for them both, then he suddenly decided against remember the accident the last drinker had encountered."You seem to have the gaul for this sort of work. But I fail to see if you have the tact for it. I will be running a business here and I can't have anyone screwing up and endangering any other members. Yes I will pay you for your job in straight currency, but I have to see that there will be no problems with being secrative. I have an idea if you really would like to join and have the protection of this soon to be guild. There is a guild of theives known as apathy. I want you to somehow get in there and out with an item without raising an alarm. Return to me with the item and soon after I will go and find work for you and me both. Agreed? ((OOC You should ask nugan what he will allow you to do before doing it. It's not a must but it is polite and it will make what you are doing much smoother)) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-01-03, 07:22 AM | Even before his exile, wfa`Zincaller Nomurnagth knew some things about the so-called "Sheparded Worlds". And many of the views other mixy held, he held in oposit. One of these viewes was the attitude to cities: An averege wfa`mix, if such a combination of words doesn't contradict itself, would hate cities more than any other place. wfa`Zincaller, however, was rather fond of them, and mainly for one reason: Rumors. The gathering and manipulating of rumors became one of his hobbies from the moment Zincaller was discended and exiled. Rumors were also the thing that brought him to the newly-purchased derilict bulding. During the night, he sniffed around, examining the surounding, and making up his mind reguarding the "outfit" he should "wear" to the ocasion of joining the new guild. A human would raise the least suspicion, and be the easiest to gain obediance from, but since his recent aliance {or was it simbiosis?} with Sod Lumbrad in Orrangebrugg (http://www.designnectar.net/dyverside/community/english/viewtopic.php?t=135), he learned that willing, collaborating allies, are much more pleasant to him than obediant and frightened slavelings. A human was out of the question. Morning was nigh, and he had to choose quickly, or else he would have to hide himself in the most dispicable manner: Clothes. During the sunrise and day, shadows would not be enough to conceal his true form. He noticd a dwarf passing very close to him, with an obvious gleam of ambicion in his eyes. This ambition could be well used, and Zincaller was about to leap on the dwarf's neck... but then the slightest smell hit his nose and he shrank back to the cravice from which he was observing: The dwarf was a female. Simbiosis with a female was a bad idea. He remembered mur`Shashk's example, eventhough that time it was a female mur`mix simbioting with a fleshheart male. Prepare to compromise, there is not much time left... Allright, another dwarf, an obvious nobleman this time. Anyone who is used to reigning can be brought to collaboration, NOW! The richly-dressed aristocratic dwarven male lift an eyebrow, as the water barrel by the building's corner opened slightly, and a humanoid figure appeared from under its cover. It held something long and narrow. Then the dwarf fell on his back, a dart from Zincaller's blowgun in his brain, after such a comfortable journey through his brown-hued eye. A flask of greek fire, and the victim's clothes and face are never to be recognized again. Leap out, join with the soul before it orients to the Outern planes, subdue and override. Quickly generate material body. Ready. *** A male dwarf clad in flowing robes of white silk and orange atlas, his white beard weaved to a single, massive and well-tended braid, Enters the soon-to-be guildhouse, and leans against the wall near the door. The dwarf is as clean as can be, obviously wealthy, and probably of a high social layer; A nobleman to asume the least. His boots are plated with silver, and bear silver spikes - probably a clan symbol. On his side hangs a small bumerang-axe - a rare object, with which the nobleman probably has no skill, and carries it as a status-symbol. He is rather fat, and by the way his robes lye, a carefull eye can notice there is probably more than just his belly under them. Most likely, he carries his portable belongings on a belt under the robes. He greets everyone present with a respectfull nod of his heavy head, but sais nothing, and waits to be spoken to. |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-01-03, 11:35 PM | The dwarf looks at the wine being pored, then spits on the ground. “Tis good thou are a drinking man, but nay for me and the sissy drinks. Give me a good old Ale any workday of the year. Thy idea of infiltrating the thieves can be done, if the item be worth it, and I know what it is.” The Dwarf smiles and gives a wink. “Now before I go getting myself killed, who thee be? For I be Rocky! The bloodiest axe fighter ye ever be seeing!” :smirk: |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-03-03, 04:35 AM | The aristocratic dwarf still stands there, leaning against the wall, listening to the conversation betuin the future guildmaster and the future trapmeet. Zincaller knows that the agenting was done very brutally, and the dwarf's spirit is unlikely to awaken anytime soon. He was not going to haste it this time, either. Zincaller's player, in the same time, ponders what happened to the DM of this promising adventure. |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-03-03, 12:36 PM | "Burp" :smirk: |
| Lucere09-05-03, 11:31 PM | "Well dwarf I would be lucere. And don't doubt that the wine is powerful for a moment, for it is much more potent than you realise.Tell me of thi sitem that you are thinking of..." The elf stoppes in mid-sentence and begins to sniff at the air. "Well it seems we have found you a possible accomplice for this mission. Whomever that be outside my humble door come in, for if you do not you well find that my reach is quiet menacing..." The assasian stands in a poised position ready to strike if there be a need of. |
| Nugan09-08-03, 04:18 PM | Nugan pulls the door open and steps inside. "Hi... I'm kinda looking for a job..." ((This thread is still open, right?)) |
| Lucere09-08-03, 04:33 PM | Well, You are someone I did not expect to see Nugan, but you are welcome. I know of you but not of your abilities. So like all the rest you will have to pull off a job without any complications happening. |
| Nugan09-08-03, 04:35 PM | Nugan shrugs. "Yeah... I'm not in a position to squable over details, so I'll take the job..." Nugan smirks. "Oh? And why didn't you expect me? This is sorta my line of work... And now that I'm unemployed..." |
| Straak09-08-03, 06:49 PM | Straak pulls open the door and rushes inside. "Yah... Hi... Have ya guys, ya know, seen..." Straak spots Nugan and hurries over to him. "Boss! I'm, ya know, so sorry I wasn't there to help ya... I..." |
| Nugan09-08-03, 06:55 PM | Nugan shakes his head and puts up a hand for Straak to stop. "Stop Straak... please... You're whole disappearance has nothing to do with this... I'm not firing you. I still have a tower that needs cleaning, but I'm done with Apathy... I'm tired of hearing about my incomptetance. If I don't know what I'm doing, let Sharp take care of it... I'm done... " Nugan gestures at the guildhall around him. "Here I can do my job and go home at night. No responsibility that I'm apparently incapable of handling..." |
| Straak09-08-03, 07:03 PM | Straak winces. "But boss... I, ya know, think Sharp wants ya to come back too... What are we gonna, ya know, do without you?" |
| Nugan09-08-03, 07:06 PM | Nugan shrugs. "If she doesn't think she can do better... Tell her to sell it or something... Maybe she won't lose that much on the deal..." Nugan begins to turn away from Straak. "Good luck Straak... Don't let Sharp's ambitions get you killed..." Nugan walks over to Lucere. "Sorry about that... I guess you can never get away completely clean..." |
| Straak09-08-03, 07:08 PM | Straak sighs and turns for the door, choking back tears. "Yah... Good, ya know, luck Boss..." Straak wanders outside, absently leaving the door open behind him. |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-09-03, 01:20 AM | Rocky chuckles at the girly emotions he is seeing at the new people. “Tis good to know ye can bring tears to your friends eyes. Thy words were touching, but yer dramatics and incompetence? If I heard thee right of course, it may not be a good saling point for thy new boss. Thou can surely get a job as a bard though!” Rocky slaps his knee and laughs out loud, “Nay, I don’t be having a problem in working with thee though. If ye can bring tears to are victim, or whatever it we be doing? Rocky turns back to the head cut-throat, and winks. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-09-03, 07:45 AM | Since everyone seem to ignore his presence, the richly-dressed dwarf finally takes the innitiative, and walks towards Lucre himself. He bows. "I am Steelgrind of the Rendergrim Range; And if ever-ry new re-cruit of thine is to join ye mission thou hast spoken of - and not a bit too detailingly, if i may add so - then i am willing to parr-ticipate. How shall we know ye item once we see it, and how many of us dost thou wish to return hail to thee with it?" The dwarf's perfectly-respectable appearance, one you would expect to see in an estate or mansion, and not a crumbling guildhouse, is only contradicted by the undwarfly yellow, almost beastlike eyes. |
| Nugan09-09-03, 12:58 PM | Nugan raises his eyebrows and smirks. "What's this now? Item? You mean you actually have a job for us? Wow, you guys put Apathy to shame..." |
| Agudo Archmage09-09-03, 02:20 PM | ((OOC A funny photo of you Nugan!)) :pile: (The Im portable) :D |
| Nugan09-09-03, 02:30 PM | ((Yeah, I definately going to live to regret that... I had cramps for for days...)) Nugan looks around the shack. "You don't happened to have a chair somewhere... I see one, but it looks occupied..." Nugan gestures to the corpse of the poisoned man, smirking slightly. "Don't tell me the turnover rate's that bad..." |
| Lucere09-09-03, 03:51 PM | Looking at all the current occupants"Well now hmmm, I think something else needs to be figured if all of you are to be particapants." looking at nugan with a hungry gaze"And you will be the key to it all." He snaps his finger and many haflings come from some room abound to bring chairs for all of the occupants. "Have a seat and we well disscuss what is to be done" His eyes flash red as he sits not waiting for anyone to follow his offer."I'm not neccesarily a greedy man, but one does need money to be able to do things. And I purpose that before we do any nessecary jobs for anyone we aquire money, and a reputation for ourselves as good. Now the guild Apathy from the last that I heard was well endowed but not overly concerned with guarding any of their belongings." He reaches behind himself and grabs what appears to be a child but at a closer inspection is a gnome."This is my informant. I admit he has not been to the guild in a long time. But that's why nugan being here is a great bonus. He can tell us all the in-and-outs, and all the items there worth aquiring. Unless you seem to have a problem with that?" He looks at the well dressed dwarf and motions for him to block the door without Nugan seeing. The elf then looks at the other dwarf momentarily and then back to Nugan waiting for an answer... :smirk: |
| Nugan09-09-03, 05:24 PM | Nugan's smirk grows as he listens. "Apathy? That's the job? Well, well, well... I'm not sure how much help I could be... I mean, its not like I started the guild and ran it for over six months or anything...." Nugan moves to one of the chair and sits, still smirking. "A few weeks ago we would have have been broke, but now were sitting on a nice little chuck from a benefactor... That's part of what drove me away... Anyway, its being kept, along with everything else worthwhile, in the trophy room... Unfortunately there's only four master keys to the throphy cases... we'd have to... Oh, wait... What's this..." Nugan reaches into his pocket and removes a platinum key on a chain that's sewn into the hem of his robes. "Well, how about that... I have one of them...." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-10-03, 07:18 AM | {{OOC: Nugan, i'm glad i can pack and take you to long journeys ooc, but how does your char look ic?}} The dwarf, whose chair had its back turned to the door kept from sitting, and at the elf's gesture took a few undwarvenly smooth steps, now securing the door with his own weight. As he stands there, a brown spot seems to begin spreading from the eyelids across the dwarf's eyes, but is soon surpressed, and the eyes glow in yellow again. ~What? This... this must be reported! Must escape this lucky place and fullfill my dutey... wait, why don't my legs move? And why can't i remember entering? What is - ~Do not polute my new mind with questions, fleshheart! The mental immages folowing, this command, made the awakening dwarf's spirit sink back in fear, and surrender all controll of the body to Zincaller ~Thy choice now is betuin complete, selfgiving obediance, possibly rewarded by renewed life, to chanceless attempts at struggle or resistance, leading to a simulation of ye Pandemonium, that no sage nor illusionist could never dream of - thou art the subject, and ye choice is thyne. Amongst my minions are those to whom thy tortured larva shall suffice as a payment for months. Apreciate this compliment. No answer followed this last tirrade, but Zincaller had no doubt that his new symbion heard and understood it well. Everything said by him was fierce enough to be penetrate any fear or stupidity and dig into the mind and soul of the recipient. Aspecially if half of it is a lie. Or atleast so Zincaller believed. |
| Nugan09-10-03, 02:08 PM | ((Here's Nugan's description from the ISRP Chat rooms: Nugan Wracod II is a human male, apparently in his mid-twenties. He is rather thin and of average hieght. His form is shrouded in simple looking grey robes. He bears a platinum staff which is ingraved with the image of a weasel at the top, a short sword at his waist, and several unimpressive looking rings and amulets. Those who look carefully will note a gold coin imbedded in his right palm and a signet ring bearing the image of a weasel on his left ring finger. )) Nugan smirks, and places the key back inside his pocket. "Of course, you'll have to get inside first... I know my way around the Guildhall well enough, but I'm not sure who or what to expect inside now that its under different leadership... Wait a momment.." Nugan claps. |
| Bandit, Nugan's Familar09-10-03, 02:10 PM | Bandit squeezes under the door and into the shack. He thens scurries over to Nugan and perches on his rear feet, looking at him. |
| Nugan09-10-03, 02:14 PM | Nugan looks to the weasel. "Feel like doing me a favor, Bandit? Yeah, don't bother answering that... I need you to scurry over to the Guildhall and see how Sharp's handling things..." |
| Bandit, Nugan's Familar09-10-03, 02:15 PM | Bandit chirps at Nugan, turns on his heels, drops to all fours, and scurries outside. |
| Lucere09-10-03, 04:00 PM | ((OOC Zincaller did your scent change with the changing of your body form?)) "Well it looks like we are moving along quiet nicely" The elf replies in his iron grating voice as he watches Nugan's familiar scurries away. "Now let me see"He stands and looks around the room for a moment "Nugan, at this moment what is exactly your state in the guild?" Lucere does something that resembles a smirk but seems to be something much more diabolical..... |
| Nugan09-10-03, 07:18 PM | Nugan chuckles. "My state in the guild? That'd be none. Like I said, I'm unemployed. I lost the guild in to a debtor... So, I'd be more than happy to help you rip it off in hopes of getting atleast a little of what I worked for back..." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-11-03, 09:34 AM | {{OOC: Answering your question - he smells like a dwarf, plus expensive perfume. However note that this is not a shapeshifting or illusion of any form. This is actually the smae dwarven nobleman, but his body is created anew, and is now controlled by Zincaller. The dwarf's own soul is still in there, but is obeying Zincaller, only slightly affecting him too. The eyes are stil the only relatively-obvious sign of Zincaller's presence in this body.}} "So is there a new task then? Instead of ye one thou hast stated before? I belive i speak for ye entire... con-tingent of those gathered herein, when i say we ex-pect to hear our mission in detail, even before the skies crumble uppon us!" Shortly after the dwaf spoke these words, another spot of brown appeared in one of his eyes, and dissappeared quickly. ~This is not even the way i speak! And this whole game thou playeth is outrageously unheard of! I shall not let thee taint my name and - ~Be silent to the extreme. I've no interrest in thy name. Thou shall lie still when i require obdiance, and thou shall have freedom within thy flesh when i require cooperation. Thou shan't have any voice in my desidions, nor power over thy flesh. Nor soul. Will thou achieve limited freedom - twill be by fullfill my wish perfectly at all times. Thy free, new life are at one scale, opposing torture which Tanar'ri could learn from, and then fading, at the other. Thy next intrusion into my thoughts may outweight ye former. |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-11-03, 12:47 PM | "My, dont ye have lots of friends! "Ngy" me boy." Rocky looks at the other Dwarf and gives wink. then he turns back to Nugan "Now thy key is at hand, what shall we be doing, as we wait for the rat?:smirk: |
| Nugan09-11-03, 03:22 PM | Nugan shrugs. "I guess that'd be up to the boss..." Nugan turns to Lucere, smirking. "So boss, what are we going to do now?" |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-11-03, 03:52 PM | The one who introduced himself as Steelgrind grins at Rocky: "Reaching his head that high above ye good soil, one gotta have something to con-nect him back to it... pathetic as this something can be. Besides, a hundred mil-lenia or so ago, his kind was living just like these... rodents" The unlikely diplomat grins again. |
| Lucere09-11-03, 03:57 PM | "Well we will console amongst ourselves and create a plan. I have a plan somewhat in mind but I don't know if all of you want to follow it being as you, Nugan, would be more or less bait." Nugan willl be easy to controll. Enough people have been caught up in his schemes so he won't double cross me. But these other two I know nothing about... Lucere takes a vial out from somewhere in his clothing"Nugan how many of them drink wine?":smirk: |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-11-03, 04:35 PM | "Amongst whomself, my good lord? As to the human serving as bait..." The dwarf looks up and down at Nugan, then turns back to Lucere, and after a thought continues: "...After his consumption by whatever noble beast we are to face, we shall a-vange him, and take his be-longings into our posession. The Astral Plane is not as hard a place as it is spoken of." He turns to Nugan again, looking him in the eyes, with not a clue of joke, let alone guilt: "Truely it is, yet toies shan't help thee once on thy way. And thou would loose them before en-terring ye Greate Ring, in any case." These words, although probably very protest-arousing to anyone with a morality, and moreover to the one involved, did not raise a single word from Zincaller's victim. No inner monologue ocured, and to the outside observer, the yellow eyes remained yellow. |
| Lucere09-11-03, 05:00 PM | Lucere grins widely "Not exactly what I meant."Looking at Zincaller" He will be bait for the guild. Not bait sent to die, but bait sent to keep their attention long enough that we aquire the store of possesions that they have." Well at least he won't mind getting his hands dirty "This vial that I am holding is not potent but dangerious in the right hands. I want you Nugan to go back to the guild and tell them that you have brought a person that is here to help you get back the guild from the debters. And the person accompaning you is him" The elf smirks as he points to Zincaller "You will atempt to keep there attention undoubtubly." He stops as he thinks for a moment "Can that little runt of an animal you had lead us to their trophy room?" |
| Nugan09-11-03, 05:27 PM | Nugan shakes his head. "Now I think its you that don't understand... I left the guild out of choice. I wasn't forced out. That's why they sent Straak running after me...Bandit should be back soon to tell me what's going on there now... I don't want to step up to the door without knowing what it'll open up to..." Nugan smirks. "But wine.... That they do like.... and how..." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-11-03, 06:01 PM | Steelgrind of Rendergrim moves to stand behind, and slightly to the left of Nugan. "Whene'er thou should be ready, my dear Bait." Still standing there, he {or rather Zincaller within him} turns to Lucere: "So, master elf, will thou tell more in detail of thy plan, seeing as we are the ones to eventually acomplish it? And please forget not to tell wether we must all return hail." |
| Bandit, Nugan's Familar09-11-03, 06:15 PM | Bandit squeezes under the door and scurries back into the shack and over to Nugan. He perches in front of his master and begins chirping rapidly. |
| Nugan09-11-03, 06:20 PM | Nugan listens to Bandit and winces. "Great..." Nugan turns to the others. "Well, this is going to be fun... They sold the guild to the 'Emporer' Dalineous Faustin... The kid's a loon. Plus, he's violent, unpredictable, and incredibly militant to boot... If we don't move soon there won't be an Apathy left to rob. He's enscripted all of the members into his army." |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-11-03, 06:58 PM | (Ooc Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai The word Ngy was my dwarfs way of saying Nugan. The rat was Bandit, and that was his friend. The wink to the other dwarf, was to show that Rocky sees the other of his kind; and that he was playing with these non dwarfs):whatsthis “Ok me boss Lucere,” Rocky smirks at the words. “Like Ngy (Nugan) said, we listen up to ya. But that doesn’t give ya freedom to hang us high. Thou looks like a smart one, thoe I seen smarter nearly get me killed. Lets get on with the fun, Ngy (Nugan) is thy bate. I got that, but how does me and me “Axe” fit in?” Rocky picks his axe up and kisses it |
| Nugan09-11-03, 07:16 PM | Nugan nods. "So, what? I just show up at the door and say 'Hey, I just wanted to see the old place again?' while you sneak in through the hatch in the roof or something?" |
| Lucere09-12-03, 04:01 PM | "No nugan, you are to walk in and proposition them. This guy being a malitia zealot can work to our advantage. Tell him the some guild that you have entered, and I don't mean you to give him our name, wants to help support his rising power on the condition that he lends all member the protecting eye of his guild. You" pointing to zincaller "Will accompany him acting as the head of this illegitamate guild. But only speak in dwarven, for if you where to speak in common their would be not much of a reason for nugan to be there. You will tell them that you have brought much wine in his(the apathy guild master) honour. My servants" looking to the room where the halflings had disappeared into"will carry this wine in and serve it to all that are present. Now, I will poisen this wine, it is a suttle poisen so it will not be able to be detected. But also it is not a potent one either, the only thing that it will do is cloud there mind, it will produce effects similiar to being drunk. Then all you two (Nugan and Zincaller) have to do is keep the drunks occuppied. While that is occuring me and Rocky will follow your little rat Nugan to the trophy room. After me and rocky are out of the guild and safely away with our loot, a wolf will enter the guild and that will be the que for you two to make your leave. And do not worry, there will not be any double crossing. I created this guild to supply protection, not to supply me with enemies." he stops and looks as if in deep thought for a moment "And try not to kill anyone. Maiming is fine, but I do not want a all out war" |
| Nugan09-12-03, 04:29 PM | ((Wow, this should be fun. :D )) Nugan smirks. "You know, I think you may just have something there.... err... I don't think I ever got your name. Anyway, I'm down. When do we leave?" |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-13-03, 01:48 AM | “Tis good we have a plan, and thy idea of me caring off the loot, is always my favorite plan.” But what if ye and yor wine doesn’t work? Or more to the point, they figure out that it’s a trick. Whats the back up plan? Let me be guessing, its me Axe and hacking are way out?” |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-13-03, 07:13 PM | {{OOC: Zincaller never presented himself by that name, iso i can't see how can anyone know his name. He presented himself from the dwarf's name, as seen in the previous posts.}} "Good, all good, yet what sort of <keeping busy> would thou have us do with these accelerated drunkards?" Steelgrind then turns towards Rocky, and as Zincaller digs into his memories, acting from within him, he speaks in a perfectly learned dwarven rogue-slang {the real Steelgrind learnt it to negotiate with rogue groups and splinter colonies}: [dwarven rogueslang] "We a two-stage backup plan - you take they heads off, i pull them hearts out" After a friendly grin to Rocky, he turns back towards Lucere, and sais in normal dwarven this time: "Should we not leave, to do what we must now?" |
| Lucere09-13-03, 08:07 PM | (Lucere actually never called him Zincaller, I did) "Well actaully, yes Rocky that is the back up plan. We fight oru way out and run like a madman. So Steelgrind and nugan lead the way and Rocky and I will follow. Lets go" The elf stands and waits to follow his companions into a plot which just might get himself killed in. |
| Golddigger Dwarf09-13-03, 11:11 PM | "HA! Tis a good plan then, its always me Idea to just kepp it simple. Ye know, hit em, kill em, then run for it!" Rocky stands with the rest. He listens to the other dwarf and nods his head in understanding. "Now lets have some fun" He says as he heads for the door. |

WHATbeing, i must now petition thee about a more burning matter: May i have some controll over myslef while on that quest? Because thou seeth, that stream washes my own millwheel as well - ~But ofcourse, my little beureaucratic orator... In the waterbarrel yonder, by this place's exit, find my equipment. I shall sleep. Cross me in any way, and thou shall become a willless larvameet. This small venture is of no importance to me, and thou cannae harm me. Thou can use this experience to learn walking beneath me. Good night. Thy night begins now. The "high-society dwarf" follows Nugan, just looking important. His eyes slowly change, untill are completely brown, and Steelgrind's appearance is now completely natural. The yellow glow only remains tightly around the eyes' pupils. {{OOC: Are we to go to the Apathy Guildhall thread now? Or to Apathy's own forum? Or will the adventure continue in this thread?}} |
| Nugan09-14-03, 09:58 PM | ((Sorry all. I was at home from college all weekend, and didn't get to post.)) Nugan smirks, stands, and follows the others out. ((I think The Apathy Guildhall thread would make the most sense since that's where this will take place, and that's the thread that most of Apathy's members will check.)) |
| Lucere09-15-03, 05:05 PM | ((OOC I agree with you nugan)) Lucere stands and not stopping for his companions heads to the guild of theives |
| Nugan09-15-03, 05:43 PM | ((Ok, I'll post Nugan's arrival at the Guildhall then. :) )) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-18-03, 08:31 PM | {{OOC: why did all teh natives of Apathy become so deamn silent? And why is Lucere not taking anything, when he's already inside the trophy room?}} |
| Lucere09-19-03, 03:09 PM | ((OOC he's not inside the trophy room, he is at it's portal. And the reason he is running is he is watching people disappear to nowhere without any cause he can see  )) |
| Lucere10-03-03, 03:58 PM | Lucere walks in his normal form and drops Golddigger to the ground. "I was afraid that might happen. But no worries, we will make plans to control that group." The elf sits down for a moment and thinks. "We have to do something about that tin can. He will cause problems." Lucere looks at the bleeding dwarf that he dropped on the floor. "You are making a mess. I advise that you don't go anywhere social during a full moon anytime soon." He looks around for a moment again. "And where is that other dwarf? Oh well, I'll be back. Don't die, it i so hard to find repalcements these days." He walks out the door without looking back. |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-05-03, 12:22 AM | Rocky was in pain and bloody "Cough" Rocky spits blood "Tis good to be "Cough" part of a team" With that he passes out agin. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-05-03, 07:46 AM | When Lucere exits the door, a voice can be heard from behind his back. The voice is a smooth, feline semi-growl, like the one sounded from the water-barrel yesterday. Turning around, he {of course} sees nothoing but Steelgrind. "What happened?" Without waiting for an answer, the dwarf walks inside and looks at Rocky, expecting the boss to follow him, and addressing his "pacient": "Thy master is unharmed, yet thou art on ye brink of black death. I, to further mist ye subject, was sent hence." Steelgrind raises his hands above the lying dwarf, and his eyes glow stronger and stronger in yellow, untill the brown dissapears completely from them. He begins to humm some sort of melody. ~What... what are you abut to do?!?! ~Disrupt me not, for i do not see enough spirit in thee, to aid me in my prayer. ~I... I shall never yield to this! This is herecy! I'll not let you conduct this blasphemy, i shal ne'er parttake in this!!! As Steelgrind chants, the voice comming out of his mouth is obviously no longer his own; It is as if some indwaven abberation took residence within him. Just like the roaring voice Lucere heard from his direction a few minutes earlier: "Our lord, of all things' end: withdraw but from This, for in thy empty eyes his worth is naught - Khapf, thy chosen calls: Let the rage of one indulge his faulty imperfection - Mother, be fare: embrace the one whose path thou hast obscured - By mists, and void, and flawless gleam!" As the last words scream out, Rocky's body becomes unclear to the observing eye, as if someone cast Blurr on him. The cry of a man dying somewhere afar is sounded as if in responce to Steelgrind's prayer, and as the blurring seizes, all can see the lying dwarf: His wound is no more, and not only his flesh, but also his clothes, armor, and all posessions look as if they were just created. Looking at Rocky now gives the proverb "Good as new" a very verbal meaning. |
| Lucere10-05-03, 02:33 PM | ((OOC Lucere did not follow)) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-05-03, 06:49 PM | {{OOC: we should really use the ooc thread for this. Anyway, Lucere would hear the prayer, it was pronounced loudly enough, and Rocky's revival will be seen by anyone else in the guildhall... and Lucere incase he ever enters it.}} |
| Lucere10-06-03, 04:51 PM | After a couple hours Lucere returns and looks Golddigger and then steelgrind. "You wasted you energy. He would of healed fine on his own." The elf sniffs at the room for a moment and on finding that they are the only ones here sits down."I have recruited us another member. Well not exactly another member. He works for me. He is an informant. He will help to find us jobs. But he will also help us to eventually infultrate Apathy guild again. And the next time we are in there we will not have the same discrusion with non-violence as we had before. But for now I will go in search of work for all of us." The elf stands to leave again then thinks of something to add. "Golddigger, I would advise you to stay away from silver." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-06-03, 05:59 PM | "Not quickly enough he wouldn't..." As the eyes slowly return to brown, the dwaf adds: "So we are but three? Four with that new informant?" |
| Lucere10-10-03, 03:17 PM | "Yes we are only three" ((OOC I like nugans idea of having time lapses. So we will use them in this thread. Two weeks go by from the last posting)) |
| Lucere10-10-03, 03:24 PM | Lucere enters the guild carrying a bag the seems to be kicking. Muffled screams come from the bag as he hurls it across the room. He quickly moves to the bag and gives it a swift kick. After, the elf comely walks and sits. "You know I don't like to be disappointed Jebbido." |
| stratagues_evermore10-10-03, 03:35 PM | From the bag crawls a bloody mess of a child. It looks as if he has been tortured for the last month! When first examined he appears to be a child but he is actually a gnome. He cowers from Lucere never meeting his gaze. "I know but...but....you need to give me more time." He wimpers and starts talking again. "I swear I'll get all the information that you want from nugan. You know I won't fail you again Lucere I swear it!" He curls into a ball and starts crying thinking that he will soon be made to regret his lack of determination in finding what the elf wanted to know. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-10-03, 04:03 PM | {OOC: i think two weeks DID pass irl since the last post.} Steelgrind, his eyes mostly brown, walks out of the guild's less-than-comfortable hottub, dressed minimally. On his rather full stomach is a long, straight scar. It is old, but seems as though it heals much slower than it should. Lucere remembers this cut from a week ago, when after the failure in Apathy, Steelgrind went away for six daies, and returned with this cut, dirty, bewildered, and still bleeding. Then he washed his hands and eyes for a few hours unstoppably, crying something about a terrible, sinfull unholyness. He seemed still completely broken for the following daies, exept when the yellow glow took the place of his brown eyes, and the undwarvenly alien voice took the place of his own. Now the scar was smaller, and not as bloody as back then, but time's passing didn't seem to effect this wound as quickly as it normally would. The dwarf takes his clean, expensive robes from the table, puts them on, and sits heavily into a chair, looking at the histage gnome carelessly. |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-10-03, 04:28 PM | Drunk as ever “belch” Rocky lets loose with several more burps then with redden eyes looks at the gnome. Then falls flat on his face out cold |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-10-03, 05:28 PM | The still-conceous dwarf's eyes glow with intence yellow, as he speaks in asmooth, semi-growling voice. "In ye words of our easily-slipped prey: <Greate...>" He smirks, and looks grimly at the drunk body, while sliding down from his chair. "Our numbers are infinicimaly few, we cannae afford the loss of a Veiled One's capability..." He catches Rocky by the clothes, and drags him to the room with the huttub. To the wary eye, it could be seen that at first he tried to lift his fellow-dwarf, but didn't manage at all, and thus started drugging him. After a loud "Bulp!" as rocky, sans his clothes, was dropped into the tub, Steelgrind returns, and sits back. "Thou wert right, master, in thy words half a month ago: There is no call to waste my wisdom on ye fleshcube. I shall use more mundane waies, such as this, to keep him in shape... yet should true need arrise, use my power i will." |
| N.Y. Wench10-10-03, 11:13 PM | The door opens and a frightened slender human girl obviously too young survive in this part of town even if she had a Rod of Limited Wishes enters the guildhall, slams the door and leans her tiny back against it. She is completely pale and dressd in poor clothes, this is also no mistake: she isn't halfling just very youg human (think modern day human 12). "That's it, this was the last straw!!! I gonna work with U now! And you will have to protect me... i'm resourcefull i swear." She pants since a long run and her eyes show terror but also sinister determination as the eyes of a human who is ready to do anything. Her simple (torn in some places) black dress, brown petticoat and sandals of unclear color underline her intence paleness as if she was hiding in the sewers for years. She looks at everyone she can see and then slides slowly into sitting pose on the floor still holding the door with her back eventhough it isn't needed and wouldn't work if it was. Her voice is cold but a little shaking. "Sober elf sober gnome and surprisingly sober dwarf, then why is the smell of rotten mead?" [OUTTA-CHAR: Streetcat you will help me develop this char won't you? I know you like prcs and kits and watever] |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-11-03, 12:19 AM | (ooc to N.Y. Wench we don’t have chainsaws in this time, please stay with the fantasy story) At first he thought he just needed to pee, but then he understood he was in a tub of water “Nay this no end of the month! Is it? Me bath always takes place once a month, if I likes it or not.” But Rocky is to lazy to get out and kind of likes it after awhile. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-11-03, 11:10 AM | Steelgrind only turns his gaze to Lucere, pretty carelessly. ~You may be Mammon himself, but if you don't take that one in, to repent for the poor elven girl in the woods you've... I will... i will stop my existance! I've learned from your deamnable heart how to do this! ~Compare me to a devil once more, and thou shalt eat ye flesh of devils I slay, untill thy very entrails and blood rot from within and bedye blue. ~Well... then. . . then - illude me again and i'll forsake this... for whatever hellish pit the Moradinsamman are to throw me into, in punishment for the depravity you've committed with my hands! ~I tought thee well, my thrall. I shall take her. Stillgrind's right eye glows in yellow, while his left remains brown, as he speaks to Lucere with a sinister sertainity oin his intonation: "My scent hints we are to claim her, and ne'er did my scent lead to a loss..." {OOC: sure snee, soon as i get my msn working - i'll help you class her out. Glad you joined.} |
| stratagues_evermore10-13-03, 03:47 PM | |
| Lucere10-13-03, 03:51 PM | Lucere looks from the gnome in the corner to the girl. "What makes you think that we have any need of you little one." Lucere points to Jebbido "You can leave" The elf stands and looks outside. "Hmm, it's a full moon tonight. Well little one you can prove yourself by being able to stay the whole night with him" He points to the drunken dwarf in the tub. "No matter where he goes you must follow. Do not think I will not be watching. If you prove yourself I will provide my protection." The lycanthrope smiles at wondering if the child will be ripped limb from limb.... {OOC For one, Golddigger, do you mind if your character was now a Lycanthrope?} |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-14-03, 12:20 AM | Rocky comes around and gets up, "Nay no more cheap gnome wine for me" he walks out and sees everyone. "Well who do we be killing today?" {ooc No thanks, once you go dwarf you never go back!} |
| Lucere10-14-03, 03:33 PM | ((OOC oh well, scratch the last thing Lucere said and yes a lot of what is sadi here is the same thing as before )) Lucere looks from the gnome in the corner to the girl. "What makes you think that we have any need of you little one." Lucere points to Jebbido "You can leave" He stands and walks around for a moment. "Well then, how to have you prove yourself to me.."Lucere walks to Goldigger and whispers in his ear so know one else can hear."Drown the girl in the tub. No weapons" |
| Lucere10-14-03, 04:04 PM | Not seconds after Lucere had whispered to Golddigger than a small halfling stumbles over the girl at the door and frantacly makes his way to the elf throwing anything in his way. Halfling: "Boss...Boss...I talked to that...umm...whatever it was like you wanted me to. He says that he'll pay what you want but that you better not mess up like you did at the Apathy guild." Lucere lifts up the halfling b ythe neck. He wonders how is new employer would know that but he disregards it and drops the little one letting him run for his life out of the elf's way. Lucere: "We now have some work to do." He looks to the newcomer. Lucere: "You can explain to me you abilities along the way" ((OOC For a little better understanding of what is going on refer to ISRP General OOC, thread Guild of the Veil OOC discussion)) |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-14-03, 11:21 PM | BELCH! “Got it boss!” Rocky stagers as he grabs the girl by the hair, and drags her over to the tub. “Ye needs a bath” with that he lifts her up and drops her like a fat halfling on harvest day. SPLASH! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-15-03, 05:21 PM | Steelgrind's face turns after the girl, his tongue passing over his lips. The tongue doesn't seem very dwarven, however. ~Dare not let him!!! ~Think, thrall, for thy mind is growing rusty of blood unshed. Thinketh thou this critter survived thy godforsaken city and shall not survive an encounter with yet another blister on ye face of thy race? ~You claim... you're saying i and my co-ser... Hah! If you care so much of the city's wellfare, why do you kidnap the only honest man in the council?! ~I care not of thy city, thrall, for it is neglectable. Yet steal thee i did not... i have merely slain thee. ~?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ~To both prove my words of her OBVIOUS survivability, and grant thee a brief sensation of power over thy new life, i shall replace thy siebling with thyself. By thus thou oweth me, and i will at one time collect. The now intensely-yellow eyes turn to Lucere. "May i replace him master? I shall draw a much greater pleasure from this than our dear walking keg..." With that, and without waiting for Lucere to aprove, the dwarf stands up, and walks after the other dwarf into the tubroom. "Lucere shall need thy superior strength, Rocky. I shall complete this short... innitiation in thy stead." He pulls up the sleeves of his robes, and proceeds to wards the tub, waiting for Rocky to exit the room. |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-16-03, 02:26 AM | Rocky looks over at Steelgrind's but as he is talking to him the girl was slipery. The slick chick was able to jump out and make a run for it, or at least die trying:smirk: "Blast ye! after her she be getting away" |
| N.Y. Wench10-16-03, 06:29 AM | While in the drunkard's posession, the girl made agonizing movements to gasp for air, and ocasionally bite the dwarf's hands. When the other dwaf came in, she suddenly dissappeared under the water. Her still-dirty clothes floated upwards to the water surface. ... Underneath the water a shapeless brown mass now lies, waiting for the dwarf to either push his hands deep enough into it or just leave the room. |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-16-03, 12:37 PM | “No ye don’t!” Rocky grabs her and throws her back down hard, into the water. “That’s better, now drown I say, for thy smell is as bad as me feet!” Rocky looks on as she goes deeper into the water. :smirk: |
| Lucere10-16-03, 04:08 PM | Lucere stands waiting to see if two grown dwarven men are able to drowned this small child. He walks into another room of the guild and begins picking what weapons he will use. Lucere's thought's: I'm an assasian, yet my only members so far are to dwarves. You would think we would be more like bounty hunters now. Oh well. A kill is a kill, doesn't matter how the person's end comes about. Well, not usually. Hmmm, I wonder what our new guild home is like? All that we need to do is kill this one man and we can get out of this dump." Lucere yells from the other room at the dwarves: "Is she dead yet, we're not in a hurry but I am an impatient person" |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-16-03, 04:52 PM | {ooc: now, everyone please SODDING READ THIS (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1586824#post1586824) before we continue!!!} |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-17-03, 12:27 AM | (Ooc To be honest Quathmoir By putting her back into the water it allowed the story to continue its flow without a major stop or change to the posts. N.Y did the right thing by just going on with her post and ignoring what she did not like. So now we are all waiting to see how long she can hold her breath.) (On with the show) “Now she be either a good swimmer or she is almost dead. I wonder if she is part fish?” Rocky gives a kick to the tub. “Maybe I could pour some hot water in?” He reaches down and picks up a pot that was boiling near by on a stove, and pours the steaming hot water in. “Maybe ye smell lobster?” :smirk: Rocky hears the boss "Almost Boss, just making her boil a little." |
| N.Y. Wench10-17-03, 01:04 PM | ((ooc fine just never do this again. Streetcat relax)) After some time passes, a shapeless brown pudding crawls over the hottub's side and onto the floor. Soon after, the closseth diappear under the water, and a blue, swallen body, wearing the girl's clothes begins to rise from the water. It takes both dwarves to keep him from stepping out of the bath. While it struggles to escape the dwarven grips, behind the dwarves the brown pudding stretches upwards untill its "tall" enough and changes back into the child who was sentenced to be drowned, now wrapped in a dirty, ruglike brown cloak. She exits the room, leaving the zomby to have fun with her failed drowners, and walks up to Lucere, looking at him viciously. "Tell your sick, perverted dwarves to give me my clothes back!" Her voice is half whispering half screaming, and her intonation perfectly suits her appearance: a hatefull and scarred 12 years old human girl (probably less because it's a medieval setting) |
| Lucere10-17-03, 03:40 PM | Lucere looks at the girl "walk into the back room and find some different clothes little one. The other clothing won't do for right now even though they have been washed." He looks around the room for a moment. "Do you know how to you a blade?" He points to a chest that is filled with an assortment of weapons. " Find something in there that will suit your tastes. Then go and tell the two dwarves they can stop trying to drowned your clothes. We have work that needs to be done." Lucere continues to go through the gear that he has in the weapons room... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-17-03, 07:33 PM | ~All thyne. As Zincaller sank to his own bottom{of his host's conceousness}, Steelgrind, his eyes as brown as ever, proceeded to help the girl out of the tub... yet his intentions changed sharply once he saw what came out in her stead. "Ha! What is this?!!!?" Steelgrind's first thought is to awaken the monster within him, but he remembers the punishment all too well, from when he awkened Zincaller in Apathy, and he proceeds to try holding the zomby at bay, in he heart hoping the girl tricked them and now escapes. He didn't notice the pudding, and had no way to know for sure... but secrets of the heart are not easily concealed. ~Leave the drowned one to ye drowning one. She is no longer here. ~Then... she didn't die? this abomination isn't hers? ~Hast thou not seen her with thy eyes? Was she this sizable? Was her shape such? Degenerated fleshheart! ~Well... yes, i suppose even undeath could not change her so. It did wear her clothes... Then could it be that this child is a protigee of darker powers? As his eyes regain the yellow shin at the edges, Steelgrind exits the hottub room, and comes out to see the spooky girl in her cloak, talking to Lucere. "Congatulations... my child." Uppon saying that, his eyes' yellow hue takes over them almost entirely, and he grins antagonistically. |
| N.Y. Wench10-17-03, 10:35 PM | "Do i know how to me a blade? Not really, although many tried teaching me. I hardly know how to you a blade, even though i would gladly them a blade, sir!" she points her finger towards the zombi-kept bathroom. Then she walks reluctantly towards the weaponry chest, and after several squeaks caused by cutting herself on something, and several pants after trying to lift something that is too heavy for her (any large or normal sized weapon), she digs out a spurr, which she somehow attaches to the laces of her left sandal, and a nice dagger. She holds the dagger as if it was a longsword (because of weight, not size). "And don't call me Little One, sir; in ten years i suffered more than you elves and dwarves and things can take in a hundred!" Then she also finds a hand crossbow in the chest, hangs it on some limp loop on her cloak and turns to Lucere. For a moment her cloak opens slightly, but she is quick to close it back. The short glimpse was enough to cause strong disguast: she is cleaner now, but she is still misdeveloped, unproportional, untended, and shows all the marks of growing in the most extreme poverty for all her short life since birth. Just when Steelgrin comes out to the main room, everyone can hear a bulp as the no-longer animated body falls back into the water infront of the dwarven muzzle of Rocky. For a few minutes she stands, the first sentance of Lucere's running over through her head... she reacted to part of what he said almost mechanically but the first part was too good for her mind to fully consume. "Wait... did you say i can... pick new cothes?!" As she pronounced this, all the dark grimness, sarcasm and bichyness dissappeared from all the aspects of her bearing in moments (but she's still very scary and mostly ugly), replaced by a childish joy and sheer girly happiness expressed on her face in her voice and in her motions when she jumps headfirst into the back room with the clothes. After an hour she exits the room wearing a ball dress (making people think hard what would one do there) probably intended for grown-up halfling women or something but fitting her well. She caries a large bag with other outfits she picked for herself. She still shines, but then her eyes meet Steelgrind's, and she rememebrs his last sentance. She becomes her usual, grim, snobbish and bichy self again "Your child?! Yes-right; of course! Turn your sleezy eyes away from me you bearded freak because the last one and all the ones before him became undead from staring too hard!!!" |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-18-03, 12:28 AM | It was a beastly creature that came out of the water. But before the fighting could get to full force it returned wince it came. “Well thy magic is as potent as the smell of Steelgrind breath” But as the dwarf is slapping his kins folk back, the little girl returns. “I take ye is now part of the group sneaky womanchild, Bloody hell keep thy dirty nose away from me coin” With that warm welcome Rocky goes back to his ale and drinks. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-18-03, 12:19 PM | Steelgrind folds his hands on his chest, looking at the girl. "Do not flatter thyself, sewerworm... And thou needeth quarrels for this gadget. How art we to call thee?" He then sits down, turning to the fey-ree. "Whom shall we destroy this casual day, lord Lucere?" |
| Lucere10-18-03, 05:35 PM | Lucere stands there for a moment wondering where she found a dress back there. He dismisses and moves outside waving for all of them to follow. "We are out to kill a lord of a nearby manor." |
| Golddigger Dwarf10-19-03, 08:39 AM | Rocky was staggering along with the others, when some hooded thugs jumped him in a narrow back street. “Blast ye, no goo” Rocky stops speaking as he is clunked on the head. He is then rushed down into the sewers. A note is left behind saying that all who appose Nugan will be crushed. :behold: |
| N.Y. Wench10-19-03, 08:37 PM | "No i don't! These needlesized quarrels are useless... do i look like some sort of a sharpshooter? I only took this thing because each of you has one. And my name is Eera. Are we going?" |
| Nugan10-19-03, 09:59 PM | ((Goldigger> Sure, I approve of that. I'm sure some Apathy member, possibly Noc or Biantium could've jumped him. On thing though, the note would probably just have the Apathy "weasel w/ an 'A'" symbol on it rather than a message. Other then that, its fine with me. :) )) |
| Lucere10-20-03, 12:03 PM | Lucere takes the note up and looks at itand then sighs "I wanted to wait to begin my plans for the destruction of apathy, but they have decided to force my hand." The raises his hand to his mouth and makes a high pitch whistling sound. Not but a second later there are several replies. The lycanthrope looks at the other two. " It looks as if we are off to pay a little visit to nugan. Girl, can you do that thing anytime you want?" |
| N.Y. Wench10-20-03, 03:19 PM | "I can make dead things do what i want... and make dead things out of living ones, too... i know magic! and i can also do this." with these words Eera catches a wooden chair with her hand, looking at it as if it was alive and she wanted to make it suffer alot. from under her nails and a little from the pores of her skin pours a thick, stinky, and disguasting black substance. The chair gradually dissolves. "And i could be shaking some big fat lord's hand instead of grapping the chair when i do that! Now are we going to kill this lord of yours? Can we have his house and his things and his servants? I could make the servants serve MUCH better!" |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-21-03, 08:24 AM | "So what shall it be? Our lost prey and kidnapped drunkard, or that lord thou speaketh of?" |
| Lucere10-21-03, 09:45 PM | "In time little one we will kill the noble and gain our new house. But first we must eliminate a pesky weasel." The elf thinks for a moment. "Exactly how many of these zombies can you make at one time?" :smirk: Lucere turns twards apathy as he is plotting Nugan's demise. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-23-03, 06:03 AM | "I am in complete sertainity, that whatever amount of undead we may need, she shall provide. Now let us seize the wasting of time." Steelgrind gets up, and smells the girl's neck, then stands behind Lucere and her, ready to be on theyr way. |
| Lucere10-24-03, 01:40 PM | "Alright then let all of us move tp apathy" Lucere moves quickly out the door and makes haste twards apathy |
| kulideb10-26-03, 05:38 AM | A cloaked figure stood looking at the door of a building as she had done on and off the last few nights. Strands of long dark hair escaped from under the hood of the cloak. The figure made her way to the side of the building. She then called upon all her skills as a master thief and began to climb up the wall, her eyes and ears open for the sound of any traps or noise that would show that some one had spotted her. When she reaches the window, she pauses and checks again for traps. She carefully disarms the ones she found before opening up the window just a fraction and slipping in to a dark room. ((hope this entrance is OK.)) |
| N.Y. Wench10-26-03, 07:23 PM | "Never. Ever. Call. Me. Little!!!" With childish (red face and everything) anger she trusts her dirty, broken nails into the eyes of a nearby smallfolk servant, shaking slightly in pain when his agonized kicks hit her body, but he stops kicking before she has time to push him off her hand. The black disguasting ichor drips again from her hand and the gnom's skull begins softening. She speaks without bothering to pull her hand out of the horibly dying guy's eye sockets: "I can make a lot, it's called zombies, any corpse is good enough, but they fall back soon. If my friends and enemies have done theyrs already, and there is only bone, i can make the bones listen to me, but only a street bum won't be good enough to crush a skeleton of bones. If you give me a lot of time and a place when no one bothers me, and also a realy good corpse, of something really worthy, then i can make it into something powerfull... but only if no-one is looking and no-one is disturbing!" The dead gnome's weight makes him fall off Eera's hand, when his scull is already soft as a plastic backage, and she crouches, with an eery spark in her eyes and some sick excitement starts to tear his scull open and dig her hands into his brain, staining her new dress with blood, untill she apparently finds some part of the brain which she was looking for. She takes it in her hand, screems - "kashekmosela!" - while her other hand moves like a jellyfish towards it and backwards trice, and it becomes very solid and blackens, but still looks like a piece of brain. She gets up and looks at the others, while putting the hardened brain-core in a pocket in her dress. "I was tought how to make magic stronger with this. Another thing, when someone tries to... you know... touch me... the sick way... then they become living dead too, but they fall and die completely before i can make them listen to me and do what i say." After talking she begins walking quickly after the elf+dwarf assasinating ensamble, not noticing the person who entered the window. Hey, Eera isn't even a thief, it isn't her job to notice other thiefs... but the thief probably saw all her manipulations with the gnom! |
| kulideb10-27-03, 04:09 AM | Lushay crept along, staying by the wall, drawn by the sound of voices. She watched as a young girl killed a gnome. She raised her eye brow, so there were still surprises out there. It wasnt the fact that the killer of the gnome was so young or that she was female but that she had so much power and as she got older that was bound to grow. She stayed still not sure now how to make an entrance and live. |
| Light_Lance10-27-03, 03:54 PM | Lucere had stopped listening to the child long before she had even begun speaking. The elf sniffs at the air finding a new scent to the array that is already here. He scans the room unable to find the person the scent is attached to be he knows someone is there. He whispers to one of the gnomish servant. The gnome then goes into a back room and ten gnome come from the room all carrying lanterns. They begin shining them in every dark place... ((OOC Sorry forgot to change screen names. Just take this like Lucere had said it)) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-28-03, 12:40 AM | Steelgrind, in a completely non-dwarven demeanor rolls his eyes again, asking in a cinycally bored voice: "Why must we practice ye waste of time yet again? A gnomish hypothalmus as arcane empowerment? Sweet. Why ye light-bearers? More magical components for our dear lady, i suppose?" Although he's standing very clsoe to Eera, Zincaller begins to feel a more... mundane human smell as well. Showing this now, however, would be admiting a possible mistake, and thus he shows no sign that he noticed anything. |
| kulideb10-28-03, 03:46 AM | Lushay watched as the gnomish servants began to look in the dark corners, well, now or never. " Well met." was all she said as she stepped into the light, with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She held her hands away from her sides, to show she was no threat but her daggers were tucked up her sleeve and just a slight flick would bring one down ready for use. |
| N.Y. Wench10-29-03, 12:35 AM | "It isn't the Hypotalmus and don't try to talk about things you don't know!" Eera sighs "I heard stories of some places away from here, like 'out' of here... They say a zombi would last almost a whole day there, and a skeleton there could kill a fat armor dressed soldier... fairytales." After that Eera notices the new comer. She snickers, giggles madly but quietly, while whispering some words, apparently to herself. She looks like some scary movie equivalent of a street child with the blood and brain and black ichor still dripping from her hands, as her fingers move compulsively while she whispers something to herself with sick excitement |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-29-03, 08:38 AM | Steelgrind turns to face the woman, looks her up and down, and then speaks to Lucere, though his yellow-glowing gaze remains directed at Lushay's eyes. His voice is a smooth, cunning whisper: "Behold, master... either a speaker for Apathy, a future Veiled One, a failed bargler, or - at thy word - a fresh petitioner in Pandemonium..." |
| kulideb10-29-03, 08:46 AM | Lushay smiles darkly at the group. "Belive me I fail at nothing, so tell me a little about this..Guild of yours." She folds her arms across her chest and looks the group over, her gaze lingers on the whispering girl,( she now has a throwing dagger in one hand and a glass vial in the other unseen by the group.) |
| Light_Lance10-29-03, 04:12 PM | "You wish to know of the guild. Well we are a guild of nothing but simple working men and chidren. But that is none of your concern at the moment. Why don't you speak some of yourself since you are a guest in my home." Lucere leans his hands behind his back non-chalantly grabbing hold of his crossbow but making sure the new comer doesn't realize what he is doing. Thr gnomes set down their laterns and go about the room shutting all the window and locking them. (This is all from lucere's earlier instructions) They then file out into a back room leavin gthe guild members and their guest alone. None even made a movr to help their fellow comerad. |
| kulideb10-29-03, 04:30 PM | Lushay smiles. "Lets just say I had to leave the last town in a hurry, as I wouldnt join their ...guild, now I look to join one on my own terms." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-29-03, 08:32 PM | "Ye possibilities art now but two: either a new Veiled One, or a petitioner on Pandemonium. Uppon thy word i shall make her either, Lucere..." After idly stating that, Steelgrind looks at the girl. He would ask her of her actions, but feels whatever she may do right now, it should turn out amusing; Of all the existant races of fleshhearts, none competes Humans in the skill of pointlessly harming eachother. |
| kulideb10-30-03, 11:46 AM | Lushay glanced at the dwarf. "What are you his toady?" she said in a dismissive voice. She looked back to the elf. "I'am a thief, and a good one at that, to make life a little more intresting I worked for some of the wealthy ladies who had become a little bored of their wealthy husbands. I would help these gentlemen on to their next life." |
| Lucere10-31-03, 03:45 PM | "Well enough, I am in no mood to waste time squabling whether you are worthy or not. So what will come to pass is you will come with us to the guild apathy and you will help us kill their leader. If you survive you can stay in the guild, if not, well you understand." The lycanthrope turns to the others of the guild. " You all will go to the guild and wait untel their is a moment when there are few people there. But make sure Nugan is there. My informant well let you in if need be. I will soon follow, I have to take care of one of their guild members that could give us trouble. The point of this is not a raid, it is to remove Nugan from his seat of power permanantly." :b: |
| kulideb10-31-03, 04:46 PM | "There is nothing like jumping in at the deep end! Tell me a bit more about Nugan. I know his name but not a lot about him." She said looking at Lucere. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-01-03, 04:56 AM | To the outside, Steelgrind says nothing, and seems ready to leave. The his inner peace, however, is much less stable. ~...Enjoying thyself, my thrall? ~I am no more settled with the way you call me than the girls is with your way of calling her, but in responce to your question, - yes. I am quite saticefied with the perspective of decapitating this menace called Apathy. It was a greate threat to the city, and once its leader is away, it will collapse. Your own group will have its monopoly, with the true sharks gone, but this quartet, if not trio, of cyrcus renegades will be easy sport for the garrison and milicia of Juxtaposition. This way - i make the most out of my imprisonment by you, and the city prospares. ~Thou art more hopeless than Voidwall itself, my thrall... As to names, shall i call thee "Hornsheathgut" instead? Inherently dwarven, and so very apropriate to thy current sole purpose... ~I have, as you could notice, developed a certain resistance to your honorless humiliation of me. ~Aye, Voidwall, doubtless... Some are too close-minded even for ye eternal fall in Plutonus, which they otherwise deserve... |
| kulideb11-01-03, 05:52 AM | "So as I understand it we march into their guild kill their leader and march out again!" Lushay said with a sneer. "I guess that this guild only has us four? I know the young lady over there is very skilled, but dont you think we should weaken our prey a bit first? Kill off a few of its members or keep their guild so tied up that there wont be so many to gaurd their leader. Also if they are in a weaker state wouldnt it then be easier for you to step in and take over?" |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-01-03, 06:09 AM | Steelgrind turns around, looking at the human, his eyes slightly yellwosh. "I shall speak not of our master, yet as for myself, i am powerfull enough to render them helpless. They are a limbo of disorder, and belive my word - dethroning... or destroying theyr leader is much easier if done streightforwardly. Reaching him is not a problem... whereas his minions may be - but only if confronted. Such confrontation... shall be well avoided. Ye sewerworm will distract... or dissolve any inevitable encoutrees; Is this not so, my sweet Eera?" |
| Lucere11-03-03, 03:42 PM | "Yes, in theory it would be easier killing members off before we went after the guild. But the problem of that is finding the members of the apathy guild. They are almost never actually at their guild. Nugan seems the only one there much of the time, well him and his little pet straak. And what Steelgrind said is right. We are powerful enough to take down the ones that may be there. There is only one that I know of that may give me trouble, but I will bring something that will take his mind off of us :smirk: . And the point i snot for my dominance, it is the rune of the guild apathy itself. Our styles of working sometimes overlap so it would improve our business if we did this." Lucere looks at the Kulideb flatly "Any other questions? Or is that enough to serve your need of useless information?" |
| kulideb11-04-03, 04:06 AM | "Information is never useless." Lushay said to lucere. "So, hadnt we better be going?" she added with a grin. |
| Lucere11-04-03, 03:33 PM | Lucere stands looks at the other members and motions them to stand. "As I was saying before, all of you need to go ahead without me. I will be along not long after you enter the apathy hall. This is a kill or be killed situation, there are no mercy blows this time. And again, Nugan is the one we want. If the door seems to be locked knock five times and then twice more and me informant will let you in, though he will help with nothing other than that." |
| kulideb11-04-03, 03:54 PM | ((this does stay here on motp? my pc doesnt like the chat room here. yep I know I should have used the ooc thread!)) |
| Lucere11-05-03, 11:43 PM | ((Yes, we use the apathy guild thread)) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-06-03, 08:23 AM | {{OOC: Originally posted by Lucere Lucere looks at the Kulideb flatlyNo he doesn't; Kulideb isn't here, and never WAS here:rolleyes:. Anyway, we pass to the Apathy thread now.}} Steelgrind holds the door, politely letting both ladies passbefore him:smirk:, and only then follows. With Lucere left behind, and the ladies before him, Steelgrind kneels, closing his eyes, and murmurs something: "Bare us on thy wings, Mother Let our greateness bypass ye lessers, Khapf Tis thy cause we cary - " Before finishing the incantation, a mighty roar comes out of his throat, mist rises from the ground, clouds discend from above, and fog surrounds the dwarf and both humans. Lushay and Eera see nothoing but blackness and feel intence cold. To the outside observer, a black, unnatural formation of fogs floats towards the portal to Apathy, but vanishes before reaching it. |

| Lucere11-06-03, 04:24 PM | Lucere motions for one of his servants after the three are gone. "Clear out our belongings. We well not be staying here long after we return." The elf thinks for a moment than motions for another halfling servant as the first scurries off. "Three of you go down to the pier and recieve a package sent for me. The man well know you for what you are so do not worry about finding him. Bring the three beasts back here and then I can be on my way." The assasians bones begin to break and crack as he turns into his wolf form feeling that this would be a good time to rest in a more comforitable form. The black wolf pads into a back room and bears down upon a new servant feeding himself on the pitiful halfling. Lucere then finds a corner to sleep while the other halflings being used to this (many having done something similiar themselves) clean up the mess quickly and orderly. The halflings continue about there business as there master sleeps and waits... |
| N.Y. Wench11-06-03, 06:23 PM | When the mists gather around her Eera screams out like the little girl she is and the terrified and childish scream echoes in the streets for long after the divine cloud or whatever is gone. No one knows it was screamed by a girl who took three lives for every attempt at hers and much more. |

| Lucere11-14-03, 05:12 PM | The halflings file out of house carry belongings of the current occupent of the guild of the veiled out into an abudance of coaches. The commeners looking upon wonder who lived in that ramshackle place, and why would he live there if he seemed to have so much money. A peasant proceeded to ask one of the small servants carrying the bags to the coach. He stumbled back and screamed aloud as he suddenly ran down the street on catching a glimpse of red from one of the servants eyes. The wrist of the onwatchers now realizing something was wrong quickly moved back into their houses. The night moved on and with it the departure of the coaches and the servants to a place unknown... |
| Lucere11-21-03, 03:48 PM | After the disappearence of the long line of coaches, the villagers moved back outside an few gain enough courage to enter the house. From the outside, the sound of retching could be heard as if in a symphony. The few that went in came out drained of blood with their lips quivering. The man with the strongest stomach said to the other villagers "Someone call the Marshalls. This house is an unholy place and the people that lived here where demons." The men step off the side still looking sick. More men gained enough courage to enter the house. They move about finding nothing ta first. They all moved to the back rooms and thee they found a door that if it where closed would have been impossible to see. The shaking commeners move into the secret room find a place of their nightmares. Torture racks and shackles are littered about the room, but these are not empty. Men are latched and tied all about, flies covering the air in the room. The carnage that they found was unexplainable. The men they found were cut and butchered like live stock. They found teeth marks on many that could belong to no man. Seconds later the retching begins anew and the villagers run for the marshalls. |
| Lucere12-03-03, 04:06 PM | Lucere arrives much later after the scene, but there is a sign on the door the states: All entering the premises will be condemned to prison. The owner of this premises will be caught, tried, and hung. Lucere leaves the note on the door. He makes his way into the shadows, after turning to full wolf form. He then waits to see if his guild members will arrive... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-07-03, 09:15 PM | A cloudlike whirlwind of mists and fogs begins forming, and at the peak of its speed, it turns completely black. It darts through the streets of Juxtaposition with greate speed in a very streight line, blowing people and objects away from its path. When it vanishes, four humanoids stand where it passed. Two of them Lucere would instantly recognize as Lushay and Eera; however the other two... "Thy stare is flattering, my succubal child... or doth thou fail recognize me? Now, lead our common way... my embracable Lady Lushay... i remember few of these streets, and shall... with preferance follow thee..." So says a voice both beastly and intelligent in its intonation. The speaker was what seems like an alien feline humanoid, just a bit smaller than an averege human, but with appandages that broaden to the ends, and a similarily thickening towards the edge tail, long enough to reach over the creature's head. On that head are two rows of feline ears, and the face is slightly prolongued forward, reminding a muzzle. The teeth are obvious and unnaturally clean. His fur is plack with dark green underfur in one places, and dark green with black underfur in others. On the underbelly is a central patch of bold yellow fur with black underfur, and "beams" spread from that spot towards the inner side of his appendages. His eyes glow with intence yellow shine. The fourth person in this quartette is a human, probably local cleric, whose clothes do not particularily mark him as belonging to any specific church present in thisregion. He mumbles, gasping, staring at the wfa`mix: "By the gods, w-who....what are you?" The monstrous one turns from Lucere's colleagues, and speaks to the priest: "I am ar`Zincaller, and am thy host for this day... and perhaps for any number of... daies to come..." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-07-03, 09:15 PM | . |
| N.Y. Wench12-08-03, 01:27 PM | Eera looks nervously at the mosnter and yellowish substane drips from her pores covering ehr skin. She raises a finger and spins it and sais some hissish words ready to make herself not so vulnerable witha protective spell but her shaking hands make her go wrong and the spell is lost! Eera can't chase away the feeling that this monster's eyes are recognizable:confused: |
| frost_dagger12-08-03, 03:40 PM | Before Sivex knew it, the strange creature already trasported them to another place using its magic. The entire process probably took no longer than a few minutes, he thought. Again, the human spy felt a mix of fear and awe, understanding this exotic being is capable of magic, and should never be taken lightly. He glances around, noting the place with recognition. He murmurs " Well I'll be... This monster brought us to Juxta. " Sivex turns to the creature, bringing back the calmness in his voice. He answers flatly: " A most impressive display of power, I have to admit. But your words, ar' Zincaller, isnt it? I failed to understand their meaning. " Sivex turns to follow Lushay, waving his hands dismissively. " That will have to wait, of course. I must see that these ladies shall be safely guided to their home first. Now you must excuse me. " |
| Lucere12-08-03, 04:49 PM | Lucere sits waiting in his hiding spot in the shadows of the alley next to the old guild hall. He had transformed back into human form after having a local try to scuwer him to make a coat. "I should just leave these humans to rott, and the dwarf too. Nevermind, I need these few guild members that I have being as I lost my other one. I wonder what Nugan's motive was behind that. It seems a little out of the style of the fearful theif guild master. No matter. Where are they? Though I have patience for killing, I have little in waiting for the slow!" Lucere crouches against the wall as he hears the jangling of the lock to the front of the guild. He pears his around the corner to find that it is just a bunch of ratty local kids. "Well I won't be able to see much from here anyways." Lucere then begins his climb to the guild rooftop to await the other members |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-08-03, 08:59 PM | Zincaller looks at Eera's actions, and is somewhat tensed. He saw what her slimy secression can do. he doesn't show his tensity, however. He simply nods to her calmly, desiding to use her spell's slipping ato his psychological advantage: "Yes, Eera, though will not target me." He then turns to Sivex, {whose murmur he didn't discern, and arrogantly asumed to only be another result of fear} grinning, his voice desidive, acompanied by a steady halfroar: "My power is an omen for three gods whose dominion is ultimate. As to thy poor understanding, i am... for some reason... not terribly surprised... fleshheart... Oh, and accompany Lushay and my succubous child though shallst... by Leira's good will... fortunately, theyr home is... mine, as well." |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-08-03, 08:59 PM | . |
| frost_dagger12-10-03, 09:13 AM | Sivex raises a brow. " Surely you jest? " The 'cowled priest' hurries to grab Lushay's arm, hoping to get her attention. He moves closer, whipering to the female rogue, " I pray you dont harbor any more monstrosities back in your home? " |
| kulideb12-10-03, 09:30 AM | Lushay glares at the cleric and pulled her arm free. "Just follow." She carried on walking down the street, watching out for any thing that might hide in the shadows. After a while she stopped opposit a building. A group of children were out side and seemed to be trying the lock. |
| frost_dagger12-10-03, 02:57 PM | Following behind, the 'cleric' stops and pretends to be estimating the building's exterior. Then he walks over to the locked entrance, his presence scaring away the troublesome children. He reads the note on the door: All entering the premises will be condemned to prison. The owner of this premises will be caught, tried, and hung. Sivex turns to give the three an incredulous look. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-11-03, 02:05 AM | Zincaller looks at the note with irritation. "I have foretold this to ye thoughtless master!... yet yhis fool of a fleshheart hast neither taken measures..., nor secured the new guildhouse he so sweetly spoke of... shhinarr szalkarryth maraleigh fr'aoughr mehilla..." Zincaller's face expression makes it seem as though his eyes would fire lightnings if they were capable of it. This impression is probably true, too. He comes near the door, his hands' muscles streigned as if he was experiencing a greate urge to choke someone to death {another impression likely to be dead true}, but suddenly jumps, with a speed so greate, and so unexpectedly, that the exact direction of his leap is hard to determin. From one of the nearby roofs, where he flattened uppon arrival, his yellow eyes scan the surrounding area. ~ A shame i threw away the nobleman... resourcelessly irritating as ye dwarf was, on this ocasion his appearance would be perrfectly handy... so handy as to effectively provoke me to wish him back... wasting him so was a foly Khapf shall tolerate yet won't resolve... the one to whom this sacrifice appealed the most makes no habbit of giving life in any form... and recalling him in undeath would keep me from binding with him... would Leira grant me a chance to decieve once more? Yes... i do belive she willeth... A small layer of mist seems to rise from one of the roofs, and grow, as if new mists were gathering around it. It is unlikely that anyone could hear the silent, growllike whisper, filled with love and devotion, from a critter that seems to harbour none of these feelings in any amount to anyone. When he feels his prayer answered, the discended wfa`mix looks within his concience for remaints of the one he allowed to die betuin Apathy's walls. ~ Awaken, thrall... i promissed thee new life, and though art nearing the moment when i shall grant it to thee... He couldn't feel anything - the dwarf seemed as dead as ever, and Zincaller felt no other soul exept his own within himself. ~ Steelgrind! Concealing thy presence and awareness from my mind... and thyne... is no less deadly than foolish! Answer my command... He cursed, knowing even before finishing the last tirade that Steelgrind's soul is not within his reach. How could the deity answer his prayer, and yet what he asked for is not given to him? Zincaller rested his head on his left paw, and then he saw: his head appeared to lye on empty air, while a bit further back, a stout, furless hand was seeninstead of his own. Leira did not return him his thrall; she did something just as good: she gifted him with an illusion, that will probably be no less efficient than the innate nature of a doupleganger! He chuckled, for just incase, to see if the illusion allows him to mimic Steelgrind's voic; - and he saw it does. Intuitive insights to help him better act as the nobleman are doubtlessly inclueded as well. The mixan spy purred an honest prayer of gratitude to the Guardian Of All Liars, and immidiately switched to much more violent thoughts and urges. He quickly inspected the streets from each side of the house on whose roof he stood, and uppon finding a relatively empty and unobserved spot, quickly jumped down to the ground. Seems he was noticed after all, though only by one person. An old human cocked an eyebrow, noticing an easily recognizable, respectfull - and not too young - juxtan council member leaping down from the roof like a common - slbeit athletic - thief. The nobleman's following actions, as the human and any others who could watch saw them, were much more natural and expectable: the dwarf digged in his pocket, pulled a box of tabac, opened it, put some in his pipe, lighted it, and took a drought, looking at the old man. The latter felt something lieke a mosquitto bite in his neck. The aristocrat turned away, and walked around the building's corner. The one who saw him leaping down from the roof, and later felt the mosquito bite, will soon notice his voice is gone - not a rare thing for people his age; this will disable him, unfortunately, from spending the rumor about seeing the respected and known to all Steelgrind Rendergrim jumping from the roof. What pitty... several hours later his voice will be back, but the old man himself will be dead. You see, what really happened under the illusion was as follows: Zincaller pulled out a box with poisoned needles, chose the one most appropriate for the situation, and while other people came and gone through tha aley, he loaded it in his blowgun, and aimed at the only person who actually saw him leaping from the roof. The poison instantly neutralizes the vocal cords, and kills within one day. *** Steelgrind Rendergrim came in a not-too-hasty pace from around the corner, and the crowd spreaded to give way to the nobleman rather quickly. he approached the sealed building, and turned around, speaking in his usal thick, benign but loud voice: "Dear cityzens and dear public servers, please undo the stacking, there is nothing more to see here. This building is from now on ocupied by the authorities as a new base of ellite law-enforcement. Please leave the area at your leasure; have a nice day and feel free to turn to the councill in its H.Q. at any time. Thank you." He turns towards Lushay and Eera, who can now notice that his eyes are completely brown, without evena hint of the yellow shin, and nods to them respectfully. "I am glad to see you here, your excelelnce, and you as well, infanta, please come assist me here." Having said that he bows slightly, and approaches the doow, while the majority of once stacking people is now wandering away. Although concealed by an illusion himself, Zincaller still sees Sivex as the cowled priest, and although assumes him to be something else, is far from making a truely good guess. |
| kulideb12-11-03, 06:41 AM | Lushay watched as the creature lept away, she looked at the door and read the note ,she knew she could easily open the lock but wasnt sure yet if she wanted to enter the building. "Steelgrind." she said as he came into sight. "I thought you had been killed...never mind." Lushay pulls out a set of thives tools. "Do you have a key or shall I do the honours?" |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-11-03, 09:46 AM | Steelgring glances around to make sure the crows wandered away fur enough to not hear Lushay's words {or his own}, and then gestured with his right hand towards the door, and took half a step backward. "Thy pleasure..." He smirked. Knowong him for the short time she did, Lushay could expect his eyes to glow in atleast a littlebit of yellow, and yet, this doesn't happen. |
| kulideb12-11-03, 02:59 PM | Lushay nodded and quickly set to work on the lock, some thing kept nagging at her, some thing seemed diffrent about Steelgrind. She pushed the thoughts away and put it down to the effects of the explosion and having the cleric follow them, plus there had been that strange creature...concentrate she told her self. The lock gave a click, Lushay put the picks away in a pouch. "Sorted, after you." She said to Steelgrind. |
| frost_dagger12-11-03, 04:04 PM | Sivex nods respectfully to the dwarf, only because the situation requires him. He remembered this figure as well. Its almost hard to imagine that this noble is the same dwarf he caught a glimpse wielding a vicious-looking axe back in the Apathy guild hall. The 'cowled priest' seems to shift uneasily. As much as Sivex wanted to believe that this is still part of his facade, he truly feel nervous at this point. He knew that these are dangerous people and the mere thought of entering their territory unnerved him more than he expected. Now if these people would go as far as invite him inside, he has little choice but to follow them and hope the illusion will hold until he is allowed leave freely. He turns to Lushay," My job is done. Do you require anything else before I leave? " |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-12-03, 01:45 AM | Steelgrind smiles through his beard at Lushay, and opens the door, turning to the cowled one. "I do: Yours is the honor to... sanctify the new abode of our law-enforcement squad. It is only appropriate that a clerist of law will be the first to bring light into this place of darkness, as we turn it from the beastcage of horrors it once was into a... well, into quite the opposit." The nobleman bows to the priest, holding the door opened for him, and motioning with one hand into the door. While making the overly ceremnial bow, he ofcourse makes a sign-languege briefing to Lushay and Eera {readable by anyone else who sees him and knows the silent languege of thieves}: "A treat for the boss" |
| kulideb12-12-03, 03:59 AM | Lushay stepped to the side to allow the cleric and Steelgrind to get past, as she caught sight of the dwarfs hand signals a smile crossed her face. "Welcome to our home." she said behind the clerics back. |
| frost_dagger12-12-03, 09:56 AM | Sivex caught the signal, and he knew well what it meant. He is also thief, and the dwarf's silent message hardly surprised him. He'd spent nearly nine winters mastering this dark profession, and he always believed he can survive just about any situation through careful planning, relying on his skills, using the proper equipments, and a little bit of luck. Today he'll be needing all that and more to survive the trap this group had set for him, he thought. Sivex nods. " Very well. Let us all enter then. " |
| N.Y. Wench12-12-03, 10:44 AM | ((private messages rule!)) Eera was in some kind of stupor mixed with confusion mixed with late effects of the explosion mixed with mixing with a mix. She hardly staied aware of anything going around (read she didn't) and maybe that was the reason that she more than anyone else paied attention to the small neglectable oddity in Steelgrind appearing without his yellow eyes so soon after the thing with the similar yellow eyes (who by the way acted like he knows them without even hiding it!) dissappeared from her sight. The little girl frowns and angrily repeats a bunch of crazyish words while her dirty and nail broken hands twitch amost as if she was in a dying agony. When she finishes she closes her eyes but her eyes can be seen through the lids because they shine very strongly with arcane light. Eera looks at Steelgrind and sees a pillar of mist surrounding nothingness and something rising from inside it to the skies. She shakes he hand, blinks, but the vision stays there. She turns around to look at the surrounding and sharply stumbles back whe she sees Sivex where she used to see the unsuspected cowled cleric! She nervously steps closer to Lushay and tries to reach to ehr ear, if she gets the assasin to bend she whispers her in the ear in human what she really sees under the illusion and hopes the fake cleric won't pay attention to her whspering: being a l;ittle girl and not taken seriously has greate advantages some times |
| Lucere12-12-03, 01:09 PM | Lucere sat in his perch watching the display. He was pleased to see that all of his guild members had returned, but he wonder where the beast went that followed them. He quickly dismisses it and silently rolls off the roof into a side alley way. He then climbs in through a window waiting in the shadows of the guild hall main room for his "treat." |
| frost_dagger12-12-03, 03:55 PM | Sivex failed to hear what the little girl was whispering, and he didnt like that. No, the spy didnt like that at all. And no rogue wants to expose his back to his enemies. He answers dryly " Indeed this truly is a place of darkness. I cannot hardly see a thing inside. " Sivex chuckles rather nervously before he gestures them to enter first. " Please. Kindly guide me through your halls. " |
| kulideb12-13-03, 06:34 AM | Lushay bowed her head and stayed close to Eera as she listerened to what the girl had to say. She fought the instinct to look at the "cleric". She stood up, and nodded to the "cleric". "This way." she said, |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-13-03, 01:06 PM | "Oh, well, would you not ask the heavens to light your way in? Besides, the shall only become ours after you faith cleances them off the mental remains of those monsters that dwelt here untill recently." The fake dwarf didn't hear Eera either, but wasn't particularily woried about it {for obvious reasons}. |
| frost_dagger12-13-03, 04:19 PM | Sivex ignores the dwarf, instead he turns to Lushay and gives her a faint smile. " Lead the way, child. " The guild hall is quite dark indeed, but Sivex only needed to adjust his vision to see his way through the darkness. Still, he didnt feel the least safe, having the feeling that danger is just lurking around in the shadows. |
| Lucere12-15-03, 04:03 PM | Outside of the guild curtains and shudders begin to shut. The common noises of the night have ceased as the residents of this area are fearful of the people who are now entering the place currently refered to as "Slaughter's Den"..... Lucere still waits in the darkness waiting for the other to enter. He had heard the lock and door being pulled and readied his crossbow. He decided to wait in the darkness for even longer to see if he can find anything new about his guild members. |
| kulideb12-17-03, 04:31 AM | Lushay nodded to the "cleric" and carried on through the building. |
| kulideb12-17-03, 04:31 AM | Lushay nodded to the "cleric" and carried on through the building. |
| frost_dagger12-21-03, 12:25 AM | Sivex glances around warily as they walk through the dark guild hall. " Tell me, what was this place before it was acquired by your group? " |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-21-03, 10:57 AM | The fake dwarven nobleman follows in, speaking heavyheadedly in responce to the assumed helmist's question: "Ah, it was a place fo terror, dear preacher... have you not heard? They say a terrible enclave of deviants, as if seeking to rival Maldomini itself, resided here. Rumors fed by scarce survivors suggest theyr prince to be an antherion of greate cruelty and loveof the sloughter; the others were asumed to be an invading commander of the Pearlmatter Army from Legen, then a young succubus who raised her empire within the sewers of Juxta, and finally a dark woman said to be an emancipated avatar of Mask. They were, ofcourse, all driven away by the guard; hard to immagine a different outcome, is it not?" At several places of his short speech, Zincaller attempted to let his voice drift away from that of Steelgrind's and closer to his own, but it appeared impossible under the illusion he recieved from his godess. This illusion was apparently providing a resemblance of Steelgrind that was much truer than the latter's own presence: while infesting the Rendergrimian's soul Zincaller was in perfect controll of the balance betuin his host's voice and his own. As it came out, Zincaler felt his words sounded too honest, almost tastelessly so, considering he was speaking to a lowly "fleshheart". While stepping into the guildhall, Zincaller pondered wether the potency of that illusion was greate enough to grant him the dwarf's long-learnt skills. ~ Leira holds her foolish child's hand to keep him from running amok, is that so? Mother bends her own demeanor to keep the faithfull from angering Father, does she? Strain not, oh Queen of the Far Realm, for i shall mix thy word with his by my own self... rest unfocused on Khapf, of Savior of Liars! |
| frost_dagger12-21-03, 07:08 PM | Sivex nods to Zincaller. " An interesting tale, noble dwarf. " The cowled priest is about to wave a hand to end the conversation, but then he notice his sleeves were not those of a clerical robe, but more like the sleeves of his silk oriental jacket. Sivex curses silently, realizing that the illusion spell has already expired. The spy estimates that it will probably take at least a few moments for the three to understand his deception, and he wants to seize that opportunity. His left hand instinctively moves to draw a serrated dagger from his swordbelt, something he acquired from the monks and clerics who attacked Apathy in the past. He then quickly spins around to face the dwarf, his roguish instincts telling him to kill the who seems the strongest, first. With that, Sivex bursts into action, swiftly moving to Zincaller for what he thought would be a quick kill. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-21-03, 09:16 PM | Zincaller wasn't expecting anything new, as he thought he had the illusion figured from the start. When the attack came, however, it was in a way that pretty much negated his theory, and appeared to catch him unready. Something seemd wrong though: an unready oponent's reflexes should still come, thought too late to be of much use. His didn't. The phony Steelgrind stood, looking at the less percistant illusion as if nothing happened, while {and after} the dagger came into his flesh {perfectly hitting whatever zone Sivex was aiming at}, and probably back out of it. Steelgtind appeared to remain unharmed: no bloodstains, not open wounds, and no pain. Even his clothes remained perfectly intact, as if the attack never did come. Despite that sight, however, a stream of blood did shoot from where the dagger was planted, just as one would expect. ~ Well... perhaps i shall come to love this illusion yet... fmm, bother... i'm losing blood - how... inappropriate. Zincaller smirked, and was glad that the illusion did not transfer his grin toi Steelgrind's percieved face. |
| frost_dagger12-22-03, 03:37 AM | Sivex smirks evilly. He saw, even felt the dagger slit the dwarf's throat, and the blood gushing from Steelgrind's neck is all the spy needed to be certain of. Again, he spins around, not even bothering to check his victim's condition. Sivex skitters forward to Lushay's direction, readying the wicked dagger for a what he plans to be a quick stab to the woman's ribs. |
| Lucere12-22-03, 01:57 PM | "Hmmm, I didn't think I was going to like this cleric." Lucere lifts his bow and with an assasians accuracy lets off a poisened shot from his crossbow at frost_dagger. |
| frost_dagger12-22-03, 05:03 PM | Sivex got shot by Lucere's crossbow right in the arm just before he gets too close to Lushay. The pain instantly disrupts his attack, making him drop the dagger and favor his wounded arm. The spy turns to escape, but suddenly felt weak and light-headed. He curses under his breath using his real roguish voice and accent. " Beshaba's badluck... poison..." The poison seems to work rapidly. Already his vision starts to blur and he begins breathing heavily. Moments later and he falls in deep stupor. |
| N.Y. Wench12-23-03, 10:52 AM | When Eera came into the house after the others as soon as no more light was touvhing her skin and clothes her skin began covering in a layer of lavander-purplish something that started to creep from her neck, her armpits, her waste, and the fingers of her hands untill it spread and covered her entire body. Now the girl was luminiscent and giving as much light as a torch would but putting an eerie lavender-purplish hue on anything her light falls on. Eera saw blood spilling from the wound but no woulnd and no reaction (?) from Steelgrind to the blood (she wasn't surprised because she saw some elemental chaos stuff when she was looking at him with true seeing) but she damn right saw the attack! Something gooey started covering her hands slowly, dark against the luminiscent lavander-purplish stuff when she moved into defencive posission. She was going to try slapping or grabbing the offender but jumped backwards and away from him when she saw it won't be needed anymore. |
| frost_dagger12-24-03, 08:32 PM | Lying down on the cold floor, Sivex starts sweating and gasping for air. In his weakened state, the fallen spy begins mumbling " Help me... I... I.. can be... quite...useful... " |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-24-03, 11:58 PM | "Oh, wh' ofcourse you can!" The fake steelgrind leans over Sivex and turns him around to expose the wound where the poison hit. He lets his own blood, running from the wound in his neck {which would be deadly to a real dwarf}, wash the place where the poisoned bolt stroke him. The wound goes nowhere, but the poison is neutralizes, leaving the failed infiltrator week but out of immidiate danger. Well, unless you count the fact that a fallen wfa`mix heretic, a bestially murderous werewolf, a cold-hearted assasin and a little girl who secrates acidic slime all gathered around you to qualify for the term "immidiate danger". The mixan blood stops the poison from causing any further harm, but does not cure harm already caused. ~ How impossibly ...mundane some things grow to be... 'Tis no helmist... nor is he a disciple of Besshaba, i shall wager... he shall, however, become... what he was brought hence to become... "Eera, my child, you proved virtuose in this trade, would you be so kind to make sure the gentleman carries no censurable objects on his person?" |
| frost_dagger12-25-03, 04:37 PM | Once Zincaller's blood neutralized the deadly poison, Sivex's shivering stops and his breathing returns to normal. The young spy blinks, his vision already clearing. He immediately takes notice of the serrated dagger just a few inches from his reach, and how he wanted to stab it to this dwarf standing before him. Sivex clears his throat, trying to smile to Steelgrind. " T-thank you. You saved me even if I... I.. Im truly sorry. " In his mind, " Just wait til I regain my strength, you whelps. " |
| kulideb12-25-03, 04:42 PM | Lushay stood and watched, as steelgrind saved the "cleric" a look of disapointment showed on her face. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-25-03, 08:24 PM | Without saying anything, the fake Steelgrind reaches to grab a large glass bottle padded with cloth from his backpack, and puts it under his neck. The blood almost fills it before it finally stops sheding. He closes the bottle and puts it back, waiting for the kiddy to respond. |
| N.Y. Wench12-26-03, 07:58 PM | Eera smiles sweetly and starts going through the potential new member's stuff starting with the dagger he dropped. The stuff dripping from her dirty little hands is green but the purple glow makes it look kinda brows or just plane dirty. Everything she touches made of any metal or wood becomes even uglier as the stuff eats through it reducing it to useless bits of material and only magical items stay whole (she throws to a far corner anything not consumed because she understands it must be magic) the little girl's eyes glow maniacally while she does her work as if she really wanted to do to a person what she does to the objects. She even hopes the guy will try to attack her so she gets to slap his flesh and see again how it works again but when she realizes he won't because everyone else are around him she just passes her hand on his torso anyway leavin a trail of green slime that feels like it's sucking the hardness right out of his bones and muscles (Ooc time! The green slime from her skin is l-6 temp' Const' damage unless he's like undead or a robot or soemthing or the state of Israel or new Zeland and has no constitution) |
| frost_dagger12-27-03, 12:16 AM | Sivex can only watch as Eera take and turn his weapons useless, including the serrated dagger and a slender knife hidden in his boots. The girl even steals his magical signet ring and a bag of holdings, where most of his items are kept. With the icky green slime now covering his chest, the spy felt as weak as ever. Still, he must don a new facade, one the doesn't require any illusion, but something equally deceptive. He smiles to Eera, even pretending to enjoy what she's doing to him . " Oh, not there please. That tickles.. " He sends the girl a roguish wink. " Hey, hurry up will you? Im going to can I ask you for a date after this. There's a lovely garden in the Emporium marketplace, or maybe you'd like to go to Shorty's Cafe? Its probably just a few minutes walk from here.. " |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-27-03, 03:08 PM | When Eera began her job, the fake dwarf walked deeper into the darkness, looking for Lucere. Without seeing him, only by assuming {from the poisoned bolt} his location, he looks at the guildmaster's aproximate direction and asks: "So... shall we examine ye fleshheart's ...potential to join with us? His skill at pretence does make him worthy... of a glance... i assumed his true identity was... closer to what he wished to show..." |
| frost_dagger12-29-03, 06:56 PM | The young spy shifts his gaze to Eera for a moment. " My sweet little princess, just give me enough time to recover and then we're off. Hey, why dont you uh... use the time to bathe and get dressed? Sivex grins a child-like grin, while his keen eyes following the dwarf as it steps into the darkness. " Worthy of a glance? Oh come now Mister Steelgrind, you flatter me. Im just a mere fleshheart to you, am I not?" He chuckles without any hint of sarcasm, yet his following statement's full of venom. " Fleshheart... Now where have I heard of that before? " |
| Lucere12-30-03, 07:03 PM | Lucere steps out of the shadow smirking at his companions. "Well now, I think..." The elf stops mid sentence and seems to listen to something. After a moment he looks to the other guild members "Well that's not good. Tie him and bring him along. Hurry, they are not yet close but I would rather not anywhere near here when the marshalls and their troops arrive from down the road they are coming at this moment." Lucere hefts his crossbow over his shoulder and for once waits for the response of his comrads. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-31-03, 12:48 AM | ~ Ho Godess, let me free of thy perfect masking! Let me frighten, decieve and rampage, as only my true self lernt from thee to! His prayers were not answered, and no matter what he tred to say, it all went in perfect coordination with his divinely illusional disguise, even as he aproached to tie the limbs of theyr captive. "Now then, good cityzen, let us not forgt about the age of concent, aye?" He mounted the tied up human on his shoulders, while pondering how would the deific illusion handle that; after all, Steelgrind's shoulders would not be at the same hight as Zincallers... how do observers see it all now? Do they see the human as floating above the dwarf's shoulders, or actually lying on these shoulders, {which would mean an effect similar to that of a displace beast}? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-31-03, 12:48 AM | . |
| frost_dagger01-01-04, 12:39 AM | Sivex frowns while being tied by the dwarf. Cursing quietly in frustration, he can only glare at Lucere. " Your loss, elf. " Sivex turns to Eera, smiling to her in apology. " Pardon the inconvenience, my sweet lass. I'll get to you soon as tis' resolved. " As the fake Steelgrind carry Sivex on its shoulder, the young spy begins devising a plan of escape. He is quite lost in his thoughts that he didnt notice anything unusual about the dwarf. |
| kulideb01-01-04, 07:11 AM | Lushay watched as Steelgrind picked the human up. The man made some smart comment to Eera, Lushay smiled as she wondered if the man had any idea how powerful the young girl was. "Do you know of another safe building?" Lushay asked Lucere, |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-01-04, 10:27 AM | "Loss? Oh, we do carry on, now don't we? It's not like your candidateship had been rejected already, we're simply moving to a more secure hall for this desidion!" Steelgrind stands next to Lucere, ready to follow him, with Sivex on his shoulders, while contemplating his condition. Sometimes the gods' gifts are too ovrwhelming to be properly enjoied... |
| frost_dagger01-01-04, 05:12 PM | Sivex suddenly smiles to Lucere. " Oh. It seems you are the leader of this interesting guild sir,so I've a proposition for you. Please hear me out. " He continues, changing the timbre of his voice to that of a bartering merchant. " Like I said back in *****, I hold no loyalty to Nugan and his cohorts, and I couldnt care less what plans you have against Apathy, but know the benefits I can provide this guild. Im their guild messenger, you see. I gather and relay information, act as an emissary, spy, you name it. Grant me freedom and I'll tell you about each member's secrets and weaknesses, and any other useful information to destroy them once and for all. How's that sir? " |
| N.Y. Wench01-01-04, 09:29 PM | "So far all who tried <dating> me ended up walking in theyr sleep. And when i say sleep i mean the real sleep! But you're clever, you moved from the norm of just <offering candies> and <showing a great place to play>... you know what, you're so nice i'll take you on a trip to where i was born instead. And don't worry, i'll have all the time in the world to dress and wash, what with you probably not being able to walk untill tomorrow; also i don't take a liking of bathes since i was accepted into <this fine guild> and wewon't need clean skin and clean clothes where we are going anyway!" Eera looked in the corner and yelled some wierd word and threw herleft hand up. The things she earlier threw in the corner rose to the air and when she closedherfist they hang in the air a couple of feet from her as if she was really holding them. She gave the "nice and sweet man from the coner" a kiss (surprisingly it wasn't a hostile spell or a slime touch!) before following the big bad elf and the stuff floated beside her |
| frost_dagger01-02-04, 05:06 AM | Sivex tries not to show any hint of disgust, even as the girl gives him a most unexpected kiss. " I..I can't hardly wait. T-tomorrow then, my love.. " In his mind, " Lord of shadows preserve me. I need to get out of here. Fast. " The young spy shifts his gaze back to Lucere, waiting for his answer. |
| Lucere01-03-04, 02:47 AM | Lucere smiles at the tied up man "Two things sir. One, you are in no position to make a deal with me or anyone else here. Two, I need little help from you on finding those things out. It is part of my job description to know my target." The elf then turns to lushay "Yes I do know of another safe house. My servants have longn since comandered one." He then turns to Sivex again and smirks. "Eera, we have had little time to test your skills. While we are on our journey to our knew home we need to be silent. I have no fear of you being able to keep quiet but our knew aquired 'friend' might have a little bit of trouble. I would ask stealgrind to do it but he already is caring the man and needs to be able to watch were he is going." Lucere reaches into his left boot and pulls out a rod of bamboo and hands it to Eera. "Do you think you can do this for me? If you can't then we will have no use of the nobleman's children clothes that are supposedly at our new home and we wil have to burn them all. Too bad if that is so, many of them could have fit you." Lucere looks at Eera waiting to hear the answer he excepts and hopes to get. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-03-04, 05:23 AM | . |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-03-04, 05:23 AM | Zincaller smirks, and lets out a very silent, short lough. He remembers silencing a man with a little girl's clothes. He has no idea what of it could make the burning a whole score of clothes needed, but he would hardly care: he always had a thing for destruction. With the right quantity and grandeure, destruction of inanimate objects can be just as pleasant as the destruction of flesh and the taking of lives. The smirk looks much more good-natured on Steelgrind's lips than it would be without the illusion. The illusion... With every few passing minutes, Zincaller feels less and less thankfull for it, while the perception of it as an affront to his freedom grows within him. ~ Arrrgh nay... i must not doubt my lieges... i shan't be as a cleric... obeying for blind belief... seizing to obey when blindness fails... my wisdom is ye source od my loyalty... Leira has a reason... and i see it... clearer than she would ever allow another to see... "To be honest, Lord Lucere, when i first met him, i thought of him as nothing but an apetizer for thee... yet that scape rose from his pretence to be a slave of ye crussading... lawfull... Triad... Now that we know his true... misallegiance... i do believe all pleasure from his torture may lead to none exept frustrating dissappointment... a waste... However... even be he useless as a source... he could serve as bait... not unlike our resident drunkard did... when ye rolls were reversed..." ~ My words... i again succeed to say what i intend to... in the exact way I intend! ...Thank you mother... and thank you Khapf... for indulging my imperffection... and thank you my Death... for ye pleasures of thy award for my sacrifice to thee resonate in my heart yet... |
| frost_dagger01-03-04, 04:51 PM | Sivex smirks. " Fools. You've no idea what misfortune you've brought upon yourselves. " The spy continues " I've come to survive in this dangerous profession this long because I've surrounded myself with powerful allies, which is certainly more than a match for you thugs. Even now they are using scrying techniques to find my location, and it'll only be a matter of time before they reach this place to rescue me. Transfering me to another hideout would only delay the inevitable. Believe me, there's no such thing as a "safe" building when they come hunting for you. Now, I give you one last chance to free me and reverse whatever sorcery that drains my strength. Only then shall I guarantee their mercy for you wrentched beings. " Sivex smiles to Eera. " We can still make time for our date later. " |
| N.Y. Wench01-04-04, 08:00 AM | Eera sees Lucere's tryings to manipulate her but doesn't show it. She would obey him anyway! She happily exepted the bamboo which she knows to be a component for one greate spell she has in mind and never could use because she had no idea where such a plant would grow so she packs the bamboo rod somewhere in her dress. She turns to Sivex and giggles "Oh that was no sorcery, it was just... me, hihi! But that is!" With that she puts a hand on his face and draws something with the fingernail of the other hand on the back of her face-covering hand so it seems to bleed a little. If nothng went wrong and her spell works Sivex's lips should start slowly growing together his mouth mending like a wound so in half an hour he'll kinda have no mouth Eera doesn't wait to see if it starts working and turns to the floating magical stuff starting to make the boring routine of detecting schools and intensity |
| frost_dagger01-04-04, 04:51 PM | Sivex raises a brow at Eera's comment. " Now what do you mean by tha-- " Sivex watched in horror as the girl's diabolic magic shuts him up. Literally! (( Alright, magical items include: sivex's ring of snerty illusions(weak) and a bag of holdings. Inside the bag are: lockpicks, a pair of dice, disguise kit, rope, a vial of drow sleep poison, a spyglass.. that's it. Oh, and none of the weapons are magical. )) |
| Lucere01-05-04, 03:45 PM | Lucere looks at sivex and nods at his apparent silence. He looks to the door and looks back to his guild mates. "I think we should be heading out the back sometime very soon..."he was caught in mid sentence as the stomping of boots being heard. |
| kulideb01-05-04, 04:16 PM | Lushay stayed out the way, The sound of stomping boots could be heard. She looked back but could see that Lucere had heard it already. |
| frost_dagger01-05-04, 06:05 PM | Sivex truly felt helpless and desperate during that point. He'd used bribery and tried bluffing, but apparently without success. The young spy curses, or at least tries to. Just when help is so close by, speech and strength is robbed from him. He wanted to smack his forehead if his hands weren't tied. |
| N.Y. Wench01-06-04, 12:30 AM | "Are we going to run and hide from them or wait and kill them? If we run we ought to start doing so now! If we kill them..." Eera smiles Her next actions will depend on the leader's answer (ooze touches and necromancy are fun!) OOC: ((Did we tie him? I don't remember tying him just sapping his constitution with slime)) |
| Lucere01-06-04, 03:37 PM | "Well the little one wants us to decide so let us leave. We will exit out the back and through the alleyways. Anyone caught is not to be saved. If we get seperated we will all meet in the central part of town." Lucere nods to each of them the hastens through the house and out the back. |

He mounted the tied up human on his shoulders, while pondering how would the deific illusion handle that; (( This was back in page 6 )) The young spy thinks. " Central part of town? Either that's the Zoo or the Adepts Academy.. or perhaps he's referring to the marketplace? Hmm.. Great. My chance to escape lies there. | Lucere01-07-04, 07:19 PM | ((Thanks, I didn't even realize that there was a map of juxta. Too bad I didn't know that earlier. I guess each person will just have to guess what lucere meant.)) |
| frost_dagger01-08-04, 03:14 PM | Sivex feels a bit more confident now that the elf assassin makes his exit, but then again as he realized, there's still the dwarf carrying him, the eerie girl carrying his things, and another assassin carrying who-knows-what-sort-of-deadly-tricks, to worry about. The young spy sniffs helplessly and tells himself " Tyr's toenails, I should have stayed home. " |
| N.Y. Wench01-08-04, 04:11 PM | Eera knew even before she asked that the master assasin will have them keep the same low profile she kept all her life. She was so stiffened by it and hated it! | frost_dagger01-08-04, 04:51 PM | (( Q: How long's the duration of the slime and Eera's spell? )) Sivex blinks, thinking " Well what do you know? My charms did not fail me afterall.. " Sivex holds the urge to use the ring's ability right away. He'll only get one chance, and that's best be saved for later. The young spy even considers dating the eerie girl for real if he ever manage to escape this group. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-09-04, 05:02 PM | {{OOC: I join Snee's question: Where, aproximately, is our guildhouse, in relation to some of the map's landmarks? The effect of an oozemaster's "slimy touch" is for 24 hours, and removed by any restoration spell, if i recall correctly. I've no idea what kind of spell it was, though, so we'll have to wait for Snee's own word on that.}} The sivexbearer follows Lucere, after making sure his blowbun, which will doubtlessly appear as a smoke-pype due to the divine illusion, is within his maw's reach. Using it without the use of hands flaws acuracy, but daffinately enhances speed, aspecially when both hands are ocupied with holding the human gear on his shoulders. ~ What could be his reason... to set the Emporium as safenet place of meeting? Or perhaps... i should think as a fleshheart... aye, doubtlessly... his refarance was to ye phisical... "center"... betuin college... and the Place of Cells, if so... Though Zincaller shivers slightly, the illusion shows Steelgrind to do no more than frown his face for a moment, while following the elf away from the hopefully-abandoned guildhouse. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-09-04, 05:02 PM | . |
| frost_dagger01-10-04, 04:06 PM | (( Thanks. And about the guildhouse's location on the map, I suggest that Lucere's player should be the one to make the decision. I only provided a link to one of the available ISRP maps on Juxta for reference since this thread is using its setting. )) |
| N.Y. Wench01-10-04, 08:20 PM | ((Eera's Upshut str check every two hours to negate effect but uppon success 1 point of damage and naciated untill the point is healed)) |
| frost_dagger01-11-04, 05:54 PM | So the young spy is then taken by the the fake Steelgrind outside the guildhouse, just waiting for the right opportunity to open up for him. |
| Lucere01-14-04, 01:04 PM | Lucere makes his way through the city using the shadows as the only roads he will take. After some time he makes his way into the zoo. ((Natrually because he has an affinity to animals)) He quitly sneaks through to the cage the contains the wolves. He adeptly gets inside and transforms into his wolf form and sits in the cage with like of his kind until another of the guild members come to pass. |
| Lucere01-14-04, 01:08 PM | ((Oh I almost forgot. We are located down from the emporium in the upper left hand corner. The guards are comming down from castle silvertears passing the zoo as they go.)) |
| frost_dagger01-16-04, 05:39 PM | Sivex waits in anticipation, confident with his plan already in mind. Steelgrind will most likely take him to the marketplace(or at least he thinks so), and if the dwarf will be bold enough to carry him out in the open streets, he'll make good use of the swarming crowd of merchants and patrons to trick his abductor. If Steelgrind takes a more covert path, then the young spy will just have to rely on his ring and a perfect opportunity to use it. In his mind " Excellent. All I have to do now is utter the ring's command word and .. huh? " Sivex wonders if the goddess of misfortune is laughing at him right now. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-23-04, 06:59 AM | The fake dwarf walked to the southeast. His destination lied in the rather large street passing betuin the Zoo and the College, but on his way there, he walked betuin the houses and the yards; he had no intention to conceal himself, since he was trusting the divinely laien disguise completely, but being in crowds was always annoying for him, even before his exile. Ignorant mixan crowds are irritating, but fleshheart crowds are even worse, since no mixan ignorance can compare to that of a dwarf or an elf, not to mention a human - mur`Pacac's teaching was perfectly correct - and all other fleshhearted species were not even a step behind. The guards' main wave passed him some time ago, after exchanging bows with the city official they recognized in him, and continued towards theyr destination. Finally, Zncaller's paces brought him to his own destination... but he did not linger there for long: His gaze fell on an elven child, sitting on a bench infront of the college, looking around; she seemed all to familiar. When creating his "Ultimate Escape Roots", he always praied for the Voidwall to surround his "raw materials", since he had no idea what consequences the death of one such "raw material" would have on the device... but none of his deities would protect the child from himself, if t was really her, and he daffinately had no guarantees as to his own avtions, if she would, by some way, make a gesture, or even release a scent, that would remind him of the... "process of creation" which also took place not too long ago. With a shudder that would hardly be noticed normally, he turned his back to the College district, while to a casual observer it would seem that a chill passed on the noble dwarf's skin. ~ Even through my tail... and up... throughout my spine... her gaze tempts history to dive backwards in a loop that may well proove deadly... i shall have to turn to the Place of Cells then, it seems... how am i to contain my justfull rage in the Place os Cells... answer me this... my Flawless Lord... And indeed, with greate reluctancy, he entered the zoo. The true expression on Zincaller's face was probably either horrifying, or comic to behold. On the illusionary face of Steelgrind, however, it manifested as a sour face, aparently caused by some sickness related to old age, and usually associated with humans, rather than dwarves. ~ Melting every cell, freeing the rage of those within... none will aprove, yet none will frown uppon it... of those who matter... yet if Lucere is close... he would expect quiet behavior... i shan't dissappoint him yet... the freedom of these beasts shall be sweeter, if denied for a few daies longer... none knows it clearer than i... He tried to stay as far away as possible from the "cells", and the space furthest form the cages was, ofcourse, the midle of the main passage, where his apparent sickness drew way too much concerned gazes and addressions than he would have it...{{ ;) }} |
| Sivex01-23-04, 03:55 PM | Sivex remains idle throughout the rest of their journey. Before he thought they'll at least come across one that'll recognize him and hopefully come to his aid, or at least be curious enough to question a dwarf carrying a human captive, but unfortunately him, that didnt happen. Earlier he saw at least three that he recognized and most likely recognized him back, all merchants whose establishments he 'visits' regularly. None of them seem happy to see the lad back, and one even made a mock gesture just too vulgar to elaborate. When they've crossed paths with the city guards the spy thought he was saved at last, but when the troop only exchanged nods with Steelgrind, his confused mind came a very likely explanation: A city officer taking a thief into custody. Later still and they reached the Adepts College where he saw not a single scholar in sight, and by then Sivex knew his only chance of escaping his abductors is more or less, over. Sivex sensed hesitation from Steelgrind as the dwarf carried him inside the zoo. He noticed the dwarf's sour expression, and the way he shy away from the animal cages made the spy wonder. He misinterpreted Steelgrind to be somewhat afraid of this place, and Sivex intends to use that revelation to his advantage. |
| kulideb01-24-04, 09:48 AM | Lushay followed the dwarf and their captive, staying a few steps behind and in the shadows. They entered the zoo, Lushay glanced at cages. She wrinkled her nose at the smell of the animals and carried on following the dwarf. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-25-04, 12:19 AM | Zincaller grows somewhat uneasy, since the crowd of concerned people seems to gather around him wherever he turns. Furhermore, to his dismay, on steelgrind illusionary face it only reflects as an even greater sourness, that draws even more benign attention. He sits down on a bench, and tries to make eye contact with his "acquintance", Lushay, motioning for everyone else to give him breathign space. His motions, ofcourse, bare a meaning in the thieving jargon of gestures as well: "Where is he?" |
| N.Y. Wench01-25-04, 11:01 AM | Eera sits on a stone pipe just under the square infront of the college (in the sewers) and plays with rats and slimes. She pulls out the pertified gnomish brain from her poket and ponders what to do with it. She could always use it to power a desease spreading spell and raise some of the rats as undead to spread it in Juxta City. But she also really wanted to know what the huge, scary vortex she saw where the rich fat dwarf should be when she cast her true vision! . o O 0 (There will be other brains and maybe even hearts right now i better know what i can abut the people who took me in) The girl squeeks a command word that sounds like a rat and the brain becomes flesh and blood again. She starts whispering a long incantation and at its end takes a healthy bite from the brain her hands making ritualistic gestures. She throws the rest away and her rats soon devour it but her spell is now ready She resumes her idle playing and daydreaming waiting for someone (Veiled guards or just some town peeps) to find her ((OOC)) If all those peeps in the zoo are staring at Steel's sour face shouldn't it be the perfect opportunity Sive was waiting for? |
| Sivex01-25-04, 03:47 PM | The spy glances around, noticing the growing number of curious people watching them. " What ho! This is should be a great time to use the ring's enchantment.. oh right. Command word. Curse that little witch for sealing my lips with her foul sorcery! " Sivex wanted to yell for help, call out to everyone that he is being held against his will but his present condition unfortunately limits his actions. The young man shakes his head repeatedly, simply refusing to give up. " No no no! There is still another way. There must be! " (Assuming he is still being carried on Zinc's shoulder) Without any real plan in mind, Sivex gathers what little of his strength to wriggle violently, hoping he'll fall from the dwarf's shoulder. The young spy can only pray that someone present will get the message. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-25-04, 04:22 PM | Zincaller, during the walk through the city, had already lost his focus on the "cargo", getting used to Sivex offering no resistance. Thus the current movement cought him off guard, and at first he didn't even notice the loss of weight, as the human fell off his shoulders and behind the bench. The most noteworthy object in Sivex's current field of sight is Steelgrind's sharp, silver-coated spurs. He has just noticed the loss of weight, and looks around, but not yet thinking to see under the bench. |
| Sivex01-25-04, 05:42 PM | The young spy, with the help of his nimble legs, lands on the ground quietly. He was quite surprised how effective that simple trick went, but now comes the difficult part: Actually escaping from the dwarf and the female assassin whom Sivex cannot discern the location just yet, but knew she is close by. Hiding under the bench wont keep him safe for long, and so he makes a bold(or rather crazy)decision: Run. Really fast. Sivex takes a deep breath, and then makes a mad dash away from Steelgrind. Surprisingly, his strong legs did not fail him this time as he was sprinting as fast as he could possibly can. Only, the young spy is not certain how long he can keep up this pace, as he grows weaker with each step. |
| Lucere01-29-04, 10:40 PM | After a long nap with the wolves, lucere wakes up groggily. He looks around and only sees the normal crowd around him. He searches again to make sure he didn't miss one of his follow asassians, but it was to no avail. He decides to continue to wait in the cell. Some of the local malitia stand outside of his cage and talk amongst themselves, and this is when he sees it. Through the throng of people he sees their captive making a mad dash for freedom. Cursing to himself, Lucere can do little but watch as the man escapes. Lucere thinks on it a moment and decides it will be little trouble to find this man, because a man with his lips gone is a man that stands out. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-30-04, 01:58 AM | The second Sivex was on his feet, Zincaller spotted him. He rose to his feet, and turned to catch the weekened rogue, but the people around him blocked the way. Questions started rainging on him; comepletely benign was at first, but the impatience, caused by Sivex getting further away, made Zincaller answer in waies too harsh for even the illusion to smoothen completely. The crowd grew more suspecting, some fearing a temporary insanity had befallen theyr beloved council representative, some going as far as murmuring he might be fiend-posessd, and others not caring to look for explanations, but nevertheless being highly worried by the unusual behaviour of Steelgrind Rendergrim. "In the name of law, i kindly insist that you either all part this commotion, and give way, or, alternatively be even better cityzens, and seize teh criminal yourself, so that i may bring him to the just trial he deserves!" Normally, this sudden grip of himself would be a short way out of the sticky situation, but apparently this time luck turnd its arse to the wfa`mix. A pair of dark-skinned, golden-bearded dwarves, somewhere in the middle in the crowd, were hollering for the others to listen, and though the fake dwarf thought these two are being his advokates, one of them suddenyl shouted: "We saw this lord die and burn!" A silence fell on the crowding people, but a confused and grim one. Once again, such a phrase by itself would not be enough - it would be taken for a mistake, a lie, but daffinately not accepted as a denial of Steelgrind's authority. Normally it would be so, but now, as if the moment was perfected through multiple repetitions, another dwarf and a human step forth, from different places, both wearing the canonic vestments dedicated to Gincar - a deity of nobelty, civilization, masonry and construction. They gesture for the crowd, and everyone part, though very reluctantly. From behind the small sea of people, comes out a final dwarf. This one dressd in a way very familiar to everyone... the same can be said about his face, and his whole demeanor. He looks at the fake one, who looks just like him. While one high priest leads the momentarily entranced audence away, the two informers and the other high priest {the human one}, come closer to the real Steelgrind. The human speaks up: "We do not know, pretender, how you achieved the thwarting of every attempt we had to reveal you. We know not of your methods, and neither do we care... you costed us an extremely rare and effort-consuming ritual, but we did, eventually, due to the combined faiths of our inner circle, had success in petitioning Gincar to award us with the soul of Lord Rendergrim! We do not suggest you to come with us, since whatever enabled you to hold lord Rendergrim away from our spiritual reach for so long, and your own self away from detection even to this very moment, can enable you, we presume, to trick should we give you the time. So to avoid such risks, we bring you your trial's short conspect, to commit its desidion at the place: you must die, but may know you were too dangerous to be properly dealt with." The entire speech was pronounced in a monotonic, beurocratic voice, but Zincaller strangely, made no movememnt exept the ocasional shrug. When he waited for the speaker politely till he finished, only then did he answer. His intonation sounds matter-of-factish, and even somehow surendering, defeat-admitting. "I see, yes, well thought through, though rather predictable: You find an adequate imposer to assume my likeness, get a Cart Blanche to execute me on sight, and a nice faerytaile of mystery to make it all caricaturistically convincing for the people; this way no one could demand to see more proof of myself not being me, since acording to the faeritale i manage to avoid Gincar's own eye - blasphemy in by itself - and asking the Supreme Master to turn his eye to your imposer would be dangerous delay. Now that the only truly untouchable decency is removed from the council, and the Adepts are, i suppose, framed as my associates, part in some evil plan to prove that i really am myself, you can install your own heretic theocracy, using the name of Gincar to rule in a way that is repulsing to his teachings." The secret agents exchange glaces, suddenly feeling just a tad less certain that they are not beign led by theyr noses by the clergy, but the real Steelgrind, who was growing red during Zincaller's stomped his foot, stepping a single pace towards Zincaller, and began a long, enraged tirrade in ancient dwarven. The fake one's responce was even more accepting and sad, preceded by a sorrow-filled heavy sigh. "No, i do not intend to prove anything. I can see a failure and a downfall when i face them. I simply wish to have you understand, that i was never a fool, as you spoke of me; i do understand your plot, and understood it for quite some time by now. A harsher man would probably stopped it, but... no, i do not regret avoiding such actions. The only menthods that could lead to the discontinuance of your sinister activities were far from matching the ideals i had spent my life trying to serve an example of. Perhaps i am week enough to have chose otherwise, if given a secind chance, but i am ddaffinately not foolish enough to regret anything now, when i am about to be slain. No, there will be no denial of what is righteous this day; this i leave to those who are take my life." Steelgrind sits down on the road, and elbows his bmerang axe, making it fall off his belt; then he pushes it away from his reach. The gleam in the secret informers' eyes grows in certainity, whereas the simple townsfolk that did stay, or gather around after the bulk was led away, are now completely assured that the one preparing to die the death of a martyr without defending himself, after not having the heart to succumb to cruelty, when only that could stop the plotting against him, is theyr real Lord Steelgrind Rendergrim. Seeing that he's being inexpectedly and heavily doubted, the high priest prepares to respond. He hoped talking won't be neccessery at all. He shouldn't have spoken in the first place! The priest curses himself silently for dismissing his equal, {theyr combined authority would be harder to doubt}, for speaking the verdict as ordered, instead of attacking without a word as he thought they should, and for many other things... The polemic battle is not over yet, however, and might last for quite a while... |
| kulideb01-30-04, 03:56 PM | Lushay was taken by surprise, she had been busy looking round for unseen threats that she had missed the ' cleric' getting lose. She thought she saw him running and was about to give chase, but a crowd had gathered and two stepped forward to call Steelgrind an imposter. She made her way forward into the crowd, so she could hear what was being said. Her mind went back to the destruction at the guild hall, nothing should have been left alive that had been so close to the heart of it, but some how the dwarf had survived. She watched as Steelgrind as he dared the two men, the dwarf seemed to be wining. She wandered off and sat down, thinking of the dwarf. Some thing was out of place but she wasn't sure what, some thing had seemed odd about him when ha had come back. She needed to talk to one of the two men, there might be some money to be made out of this she thought. |
| Sivex01-31-04, 03:38 PM | Sivex heard the argument unfolding behind him and he was very thankful about it. He makes good use of the situation to escape at last, using his roguish talent to blend into the gathering crowd. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-01-04, 07:06 PM | The human gincarian priest hrmphs, and pulls from the bet on his waste a hand hammer and a main-gauche - the weapons commonly associated with his faith - and begins to step towads the defeated fake Steelgrind, but Zincaller's masterfull deceit didn't pass in vain: both of the infromers hold out theyr weapons - one a short sword and the other a stiletto, though the latter, shieldless, pushes his hand into his beard, where another small weapon might be hidden - diagonally upwards and one otwards the toher, both shaking theyr heads, showing the priest they won't let him proceed. "It's over, Mason Supreme Igor; you can hide the truth from us with your human alluring, but not when our true guide is with us." says the one with the short sword, shaking his bronze-bearded head again. His fellow's hand streightens up, coming out of his nearly-crimson beard, pointing towards the real {though they are convincd otherwise} Steelgrind's legs and throwing a small shuriken in the pocess. The fat dwarf, whose back was turned to the others, as his mouth flamed towards Zincaller, who dared to assume his identity, was going to make another meaningful step topwards the latter, raised his right leg, and when the shuriken stroke the left one, drawing blood, he fell on hat knee; looking back he saw the two gold-dwarves - whose words he thought were addressed to the pretender - holding Igor behind theyr blades, and by the hadn and face of one of them, understood he is doubtlessly the source of the blade planted in his left leg. Only starting to try and grasp this situation, he promptly fainted. "Horom, your dwarven kin are turning on me!" Screaming this phrase out, while jumping backwards to gain distance from his own informers, Igor silently praied that Horomeger, the other Mason Supreme, which left to make sure the crowd will leave and new one won't gather, would hear him. His next words were spoken in terran, and constituted a preyer for safe deliverance; Steelgrind's fainted body shimmered for a moment and dissappeared, to reappear in the temple's main hall. Igor knew for certain, that Lord Rendergrim's hatred to the one who posessed his soul, brought him to the brink of insanity {some even said the dwarflord's moral codes were severely twisted after this period of his posession}, and eventually left him to die after repeatedly promissing him new life, was greate enough to hunt him down eventually, even if Igor's own battle against the pretender will end in the high priest's death. Both gold-dwarves turned to the priest, but made no movement as yet. Zincaller remained in hsi defeated pose, perfectly impersonating the martyrsome immage most common folk held when thinking of Steelgrind Rendergrim - an immage that which white-bearded nobleman, whose concience Zincaller himself messed up so masterfully during the posession, no longer supported with his demeanor. |

| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-08-04, 01:07 AM | {{OOC: Bummer you're not sticking around a little longer, Frost-Dag, i like your style .}} Waving a wand attached to his robes, the human gincarian highpriest makes the air infront of him harden into a wall of force, which stops the deadly sequence of shurikens thrown at him. He moves to his knees, throwing his hands up and backwards in a wordless prayer, and a clay golem, created by nothing but his belief within a second, rises from the ground and moves to intercept the sword-wielding dwarf. There seems to be no responce from the OTHER high priest, who left in the process of leading the crowd away. Zincaller, playing the role of Steelgrind's-the-way-townsfolk-wish-to-see-him perfectly, does not even move to look at the fight. The wall dissipates, but the gold-dwarf previously assaulting it now practicly dives under the indistinct feet of the clay golem. The Mason Supreme, knowing his weapons will hardly be of any use against these professionals, allowes himself yet another manifestation of his high standing on the Staircase to Gincar, though that one is much more subtle: Nothing seems to have changed, and only those who heard his eye-closed short murmur and know either the languege or the faith's taditions could guess that from now a touch of his hand is likely to turn anything that breathes into grave-stuffing. Just as his prayer is complete, a figure rises from behind him, and drives a stilleto into the back of his neck; in a desperate spin Igor's fingers slap the dwarven stealthman's cheek, and the latter's death comes painlessly, preceeding by long the nanosecond in which his hair touches the earth. As expected within Juxta, the dwarf's extra-fresh corpse vanishes. Pulling the stilletto out would be suicide, and the gincarist chants his prayer in a loud whisper, without doing so. His skin closes around the blade, and pushes it out, but not completely. Blood is still dripping from the spiritual master's throat in an unstopping {though very small} river. The upcoming darkness in his eyes backed up to some extent, or atleast the human felt this way, and he tried concentrating his thoughts into an effective pattern; he knows the next blow delivered to him will doubtlessly be his last - miracles seldom come in pairs. The other dwarf can still be seen betuin the nigh-mortally wounded high priest and the fake Steelgrind, avoiding the golem's strikes. He is obviously loosing that melee: his blade does little harm to the construct, and comes out of the clay with geate effort each time, while the golem's blows draw cracking sounds every time, as the gincarian's creation compensates for its low agility with the correct timing of each hit. A final prayer from Igor causes the sky above Zincaller to part, sending a pinkish ray. The pretender had no time to realize that the good playing of his role {which implies inaction in the current circumstances} had just moved the second priority, and so the ray engulfes him before he even moves, leaving him strengthless, lying in a heap where he sat, while the combat betuin his opponent's cration and the last of the gold-dwarves he fooled continues. Igor slowly walks towards his paralized enemy, hammer and main-gauche drawn, with the clear intention to finally deliver the execution. |
| N.Y. Wench02-17-04, 06:46 AM | Tired of waiting for her fellow veilds (ooc (AND THEYR DEAMN PLAYERS!)) Eera finally gets out of the sewers now very saticefied after having so much fun time down there and goes towards the zoo to play with the anymals (ooc (WOLVES WITH POINTUY EARS!))but when she nears the area where people aren't crowding (that other cleric took everyone away right) she doesn't want to stand out so she goes behind some bushes and finds her way into the sewers then walks untill she's under the battle's location and climbs on a pipe just under a tiny crack in the road but doesn't crawl out yet she just listens and tries peeping |
| kulideb02-17-04, 02:49 PM | Lushay watched the fight, but the noise of a near by animal distracted her. She picked up a large stone and was just about to throw it at caged animal, when she felt as if there was some thing more to the creature. She stepped closer to the cage and peered in. "Lucere?" she said softly, She went round to the cage door and picked the lock. "Well if you arnt Lucere your escape will only add to the on going enteraiment." she said with a smirk as she opened the door and stood back. |
| N.Y. Wench02-21-04, 12:29 AM | Eera heard Lu Shaye talking to the boss and saw some of the dwarf's combat with the golem so she desided to get involved to prove the guild her usefullness. The little girl pressd against the small crack in the asfalt (?) and just kinda squeezed herself through it when the priest was looking the other way then reformed and tried to look terrified and crying "Mister cleric terrible people and monsters are chasing me!!!" she cried and ran to the priest then tried to hugg him ((:smirk:...)) |
| Lucere02-22-04, 12:47 AM | Lucere plods out of his cage and nonchalantly past lushay. He again serveys the seen and upon his new inspection notices Eera. He is intrigued and decides to see what exactly she is going to do. With that, Lucere walks over to side and sits down on his honches and watches. After sitting he stares over at Lushay to see if she followed him |
| kulideb02-22-04, 06:02 AM | Lushay followed the wolf, she spotted Eera and smiled. This should be intresting she said to herself as she watched the girl try to hug the cleric. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-24-04, 10:03 PM | Igor felt pretty deamn safe: his phisical feeling was terrible, as he almost died, and was still not as far away from this condition as he would like to be, but his demonically cunning enemy was immobilized, the informer who turned on him was being gradually defeated by Gincar's gift to him, and he could probably deal with whatever spooked the girl, aspecially after he'll ask Gincar for farther relief of his wounds... he leaned and hugged her, while contemplating a practical and urgent quesion: How will he strike the now-immobilized imposer dead, without letting the child's tender psych be exposed to the site, and yet without leaving her side either? He wouldn't think of leaving her unprotected, but neither would he consider letting the pretender live for long enough to outwait the prayer that left him strengthless. |
| Lucere04-05-05, 08:02 AM | Igor after some internal debate choose to leave the child's side but not leave her unprotected. He would destroy the threat by sacrifing what was left of his own life. The planar blast from his heroic end would kill the imposter and then scatter the humans around to distant point on the map without harming them...at least that was his hope. He had to do something and this was the only alternative that he could formulate in his limited amount of time... Lushay and Lucere stood stoicly off to the side. The outcome made no difference to Lucere, and Lushay, well she seemed to be enjoying it. Lucrece turned in his wolf form to Lushay "This is a waste of time. If you wish to continue to watch this, well have at it. I have a guild to try and run. Oh, and whoever survives is welcome to come back to the guild..." The wolf stopped mid-sentence as Igor ran at a dead run towards the imposter. There was visual collision and then a second of the most pure silence and then world let up into nothing but sound and light... ...The zoo was gone. He was back in the streets. Back into Juxta. He really had no idea of what had happened. He had seen light and heard sound for a moment and that moment seemed like an eternity. His head was a bit groggy but other than that he seemed no worse for the wear. He was in his elf form...he didn't remember changing back into his elf form. It didn't matter he was still alive and seemingly unscathed. Lucere looked about himself, it had to be juxta from the architecture, but what street? A group of young thugs walked by. They carried a small pouch from their nights work on a local merchant who had taken a wrong turn a couple blocks away. Lucere made eye contect with them "What street am I on?" The thugs looked him over quickly and assest that he had nothing on him of interest "Your on old court pass" Lucere sighed "Good I'm on south side then." The young group all looked at each other "No north. South side is where all the richies are" The group suddenly lost interest in the elf and moved along. The poor drunk of an elf didn't even know the town that he was in... Lucere sat down and thought for a moment. If that's where the richest class is then what happened. The aristocrats had been to the north before, where are the caravans first entered. There was no way things could have changed while he was at the zoo. Time must have passed after that blast, a seemingly large amount of time. "Well that just means I have to start from scratch again." sigh "No conections, no friends, not even any enemies to base everything off. This is going to be hard..." With that Lucere vanished into the shadows to search out and aquire new members to recreate the assasian's guild...his assasian's guild..The Guild of the Veiled...GoV :evillaugh |
