have you all noticed the infinite equipment trick that can be performed with the purchase of a single ring of three wishes?

It comes down to this portion of the wish spell:

Wish (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/wish.htm)

A wish can produce ... the following effects.

Create a magic item, or add to the powers of an existing magic item.

Note the total lack of a gp limit.

Therefore, a character can wish for three more rings of three wishes, and so on, and so on, and so on, sprinkling wishes for other items in.

Like I said, I doubt I'm the first person to notice this, but I just thought I'd throw it out.

No.

Bad poster. No dinner for you.

No.

Just.

No.

People have seen this, and it has been mentioned. It is now considered Bad Form to mention it.

XP Cost
The minimum XP cost for casting wish is 5,000 XP. When a wish duplicates a spell that has an XP cost, you must pay 5,000 XP or that cost, whichever is more. When a wish creates or improves a magic item, you must pay twice the normal XP cost for crafting or improving the item, plus an additional 5,000 XP. Yup, bad form indeed

Sorry, didn't know it was bad form. I'm a newcomer to this part of the board.

Don't worry. Only a few things are really looked down upon here:

1) Interpretation of Wish, which is rather confusing. Just assume 15,000 GP limit on magic items.
2) Wrong things.

If you really want infinite fun go with the candles of invocation-titan trick

Yep. Hurray for infinite gate cascades. I prefer to do it with efreeti, though.
