| waiwode10-07-07, 12:08 AM | From around the 20's and 30's. Any ideas? Any number of .32 & .38 cal revolvers. Most are 6-shot, with a variety of barrel lengths and finishes. For the serious "mobster" there's the classic Colt 1911 .45 cal pistol. And what "mob torpedo" is comfortable without a violin case carrying a Tommy Gun, the Thompson .45 SMG? |
| TVirus10-07-07, 02:36 PM | Thanks. :) Now I must go turn them into d20 weapons! I'll post the finished ones on here. |

| Bedford10-09-07, 01:57 PM | See if you can find the boom "Forbidden Kingdoms" wherever yuou buy RPGs. It's an orange book. It already has many of those guns in d20 stats, plus the cars and whatnot to go with it. |

Basically the same as the revolver, but with a seven-shot magazine. I would give the .45 +1 damage though. Some 1911s were made in .38 Super, which was popular back then. These have eight-shot magazines and only deal 2d6 damage, but are otherwise statistically identical. The Thompson is the big boy of the time period. With 20-round, 50-round and 100-round magazines, and 2d6+1 damage, it's a beast. Some famous gangsters had even heavier weaponry. Bonnie and Clyde were known for using a BAR (2d10 damage, 90' RI, 20-round box magazine, select-fire). And don't forget the plethora of hunting rifles and shotguns that were pressed into use by nefarious folks. Most all of these will be 2d10 damage weapons of some sort or another, pretty analogous to the military rifles of the day. |
