| Giradius03-05-08, 07:50 PM | Hello everyone. As many of you know the father of D&D Gary Gygax passed away on the fourth of march. There are no doubt many tributes posted on the myriad forums commemorating him, and so I thought I would start this thread so we can share our ideas and tributes to the big G. My own tribute is that he will be made a deity in my own homebrew setting, he will become Gygath, architect of the universe, the great designer, creator of law (or rules if you like), he has joined a pantheon and religion based on the work of William Blake, filling the role of Urizen. In addition he will lend his likeness to one of my settings most powerful Wizards Alberic Malthar, my worlds version of Elminster,Gandalf,Merlin. look forward to your additions. RIP Gary |

Garig created all three with one mysterious two word phrase, "Chein mayel!" No one really knows what this means. The multi-verse began very small, and the physical laws were basic and simple. He gradually increased the multi-verse and it branched out to become more and more sophisticated. He had a daughter in the multi-verse, who became known as "Taiia". Taiia has become a monotheistic goddess for one layer of Multi-Verse. Garigygaxy then had two equal children. Scholars dispute which gods they were, but whoever they were, they were the first over lords of either Good and Evil or Order and Chaos. Despite his creation of Evil, most praise Gygax as being of Good alignment rather than Neutral, because of his many blessings of his followers. In a world called Earth, which contains nearly no magic at all, he has given the secrets of the universe to millions of humans, all creating their own worlds, dimensions and cosmological planes. |
