ruthia 06-07-04, 01:05 PM	Little Italy. Founded in 1892, when what seemed like half of Europe's population moved to the United States. The town is small and quiet, relatively unknown to outsiders, though locals will tell you that Torrio's has the best cheese garlic bread this side of the Atlantic. It's in Torrio's, the local bar and restaurant, that this begins. The good townsfolk of Little Italy have had it up to here with the murders and drugs that are all trademarks of the Giovanni mafia. So, they called a town meeting, with everyone sitting at tables with free bread rolls and red wine. "The mob has gotten out of control!" Someone shouts, and the rest of the citizens respond encouragingly. "We're sick of finding dead bodies in the street!" "Drugs in our kids' rooms!" Anyway, with little dissention, the decision is made to hunt down the Mafia. Since there is no real government in Little Italy, the townsfolk will play judge, jury and executioner in a good ol' fashioned lynching. Everyone goes to bed that night satisfied that their days of suffering and woe will be over... ... Little do they realize that it's just begun. The next morning, the townsfolk wake to the sound of Kulideb shouting. "ShadeShinobi is missing!" she cries. Everyone scatters, and soon the grisly remains of ShadeShinobi are found. His head is facing the wrong way, and his internal organs have been artfully arranged around the body. The undertaker stares for a moment, then runs off, gagging. The police force is recruited to clean up the mess. After the remains are put out of sight (and both kidneys are accounted for), the townsfolk gather in the square and raise a gallows. Who will its first victim be? Only time will tell... ShadeShinobi, a townie, has been killed by the mob. Begin voting; majority of six to lynch. "I dont think I shall ever have a good nights sleep again!" She sat down and called the waiter over. "Brandy." just as the waiter was about to leave she caught his arm. "Better make it a double its for medical purposes." She glanced around to see who else had turned up for the meeting.

Then suddenly Mr. Tony realizes what time it is by looking at his wrist watch,"Oh no I'm going to miss the meeting." Suddenly he runs inside, grabs his coat, and locks up the bakery forgetting to put the closed sign on the door. Minutes later Mr. Tony walks into the meeting noticing only Kulideb is there. He puts on a cheerful smile and walks over to her,"Oh how wonderful it is to see you again Kulideb! Some time you should come by the shop and have a cup of coffee with me. Well besides that what are all those people doing there outside? I spotted father Agudo out there but I was to much in a hurry to get here."

He bows his head. "Ummmm...Sherbert. Aconite. Pinata. Giggle. Washington..." He looks around. "Anyone else have something to say?"
Drizzt 06-08-04, 12:49 AM	A short, balding man walks out of a bookstore, locks the door and wanders over to the crowd. " I just heard the news" mumbles Drizzt. "ShadeShinobi was a good man, I am sorry to see him go like this." walking over to a waiter Drizzt orders a scotch with a twist and joins Kulideb. "how are you doing?" he asks looking obviously shaken by the events.
Dragon Master 06-08-04, 02:55 AM	A man, whose friends know him best as 'D' sighs and looks around at the chaos running around the town. Making his way out of his house, D overhears some of the news, and shakes his head, a worried look on his face as he continues to the mass of people. D turns his attention to the sweeper, MaliciousAngel and shakes his head "And what if that were you... what would you want others to say at your grave, in your memory? Have some respect, at least, sir."
kulideb 06-08-04, 03:33 AM	"Look" she said holding out a shaking hand to Drizzt. "I dont think I'll ever get over the horror of see..well you know." Kulideb took a large sip of brandy. "I didnt really know him, but D is right show some respect!" she said to Malicious angel. While wondering if Malicious angel was capable of more than just words.
Dragon Master 06-08-04, 03:49 AM	D looks over to Kulideb and smiles sadly before looking back to MaliciousAngel. He shakes his head, and then takes a moment to look around the other town members "...In any event... these murders must be stopped... I don't want someone standing above my body talking about pickles and states...and I'm sure no one else does either... I wonder if the police are planning on doing an investigation?"
Lightspeed 06-08-04, 06:12 AM	An older gentleman, a Mister Luigi Scapelli sat at a near by table, a mouth full of bread kept him from responding as he filled up on Torrio's famous bread. Dead bodies left in the streets, this kind of stuff never happened in the old country. He pondered to himself as the meeting came to an end.

Exiled_Beauty 06-08-04, 11:50 AM	Exiled_Beauty thinks for a moment after listening intently to the comments and opinions. "Well, you need suspicsion before you go off and investigate... has anyone seen or heard anything?" she asks quietly, obviously a shy girl.
Agudo Archmage 06-08-04, 12:38 PM	Father Agudo pats Kulideb on the back and smiles. “I know how upsetting this is, but don’t fret. He is in a better place now. No longer suffering the pains of this world.” Then hearing the familiar voice of the Baker, Father Agudo nods his head in agreement. “We shall be there for the family in the coming days. I plan to say a special prayer during Mass this Sunday.” He then winks at Tony. “I hope to see you in church this Sunday. I take it your bakery has been very busy lately?
Pipers Youth 06-08-04, 12:53 PM	Mr. Tony straightens his over coat ," You can bet I'll be there, Ive never missed a Sunday mass yet. I'll even bring some fresh bread hot out of the oven for after mass." Then Mr. Tony shifts his feet at Father Agudo's next statement,"Well I'm afraid to tell you father, but since all the crime everybody is staying inside..to afraid to buy their groceries, I'm afraid to say."

Khaira 06-08-04, 09:34 PM	Khaira, the up and coming vocal artist, walked in just as the complaints were starting. She had heard, just recently, that Shade Shinobi had been killed. What a horror! Why did people have to be so cruel, relentless, and bloodthirsty? Couldn't they just all live in peace and harmony? This was actually the first time that she had ventured out in a long time; she had been caught up, writing her new song. But this was definitely something that would bring her out from under her rock. Her face was twisted in horror, and her eyes went this way, and that, as if expecting some madman murdererer to leap out from the shadows and kill her as well. "Why did they kill Mr. Shinobi? He was a good, law-abiding citizen! And where are the blasted police - why aren't they doing their job!?" Khaira looked around; initially, she had thought she was hungry, but when she had earn, among the other townspeople on the street, on the way down here, the details of Shade Shinobi's murder, she was rather shocked, and found she had lost her hunger. Now, they had to find out what was what in order to survive...
Dragon Master 06-08-04, 11:09 PM	D shrugs to Exiledbeauty and then sneaks a glance over at MaliciousAngel "I wouldn't know... maybe the streets are swept at night? Couldn't hurt to ask... could it?" Looks around quietly as if saying that might actually hurt him, and then looks over to Khaira with a snort "I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't even been called yet... but I hope that... " He sighs "I know that a proper investigation will go under way, if it isn't already in progress... we must keep faith that the authorities will catch whoever is doing this. For now I guess all we can do is lock our doors and stay inside."
kulideb 06-09-04, 10:17 AM	"The police are to scared!!" Kuli said. "When was the last time you saw a policeman out walking the streets..now they just drive through ..fast." She went to take another sip but found her glass to be empty. "Hey! Waiter how about a little service!"she shouted out, holding her empty glass up.

"Strange the strangers talk about this guy like they were friends with him.... Me on the other hand don't care." Shakes his head, "What need is there in investagating this, it is clear who did it... right? And so far the police hasn't done a thing to stop the mafia. I pray for his soul, and the torment that his family is facing right now. No...I have as much respect that I could have under the circumstances...But what would I have you do, if that were me on the floor? Not a damn thing. Because in this day and age we have to look out for ourselves. Because I do not see any one of you looking out for me, or him, now. Weep and mourn, but do nothing about it? That is a greater tragedy...I am a realist. I have little time for nothing else. And as it is? I am only here to clean up at the end of all of this. How much can I afford to mourn, when I wash the blood out of the streets... You want to honor this man? Do something about it..." He sweeps around a little bit then takes a black bag and gingerly slips the body into it. "Who will help me carry him?" He looks around with grey clouded eyes.
Naiilo 06-10-04, 04:37 PM	Mr. Henscot, or Henry as some call him, walks down to the dead body and the sweeper that decided to carry him. " Poor soul," he whispers. "I'll give you's a hand mate. Never liked to see one so youngs gone and all." Mr. Henscot smiles to the street sweeper, the bends down to grasp the black body-bag.
Khaira 06-11-04, 01:00 PM	"There's got to be something we can do! I just can't go on living like this, huddled in some building, with everyone quivering in fear that some she looks around, hoping and praying that no members of this blasted bloodthirsty clan were present, hiding in the shadows or something crazed maniac is going to off us next! Can't we do *anything*?!" She looks around at all of the rest of the citizens around her. No, none of them would do anything; they were all either too drunk, too scared, or too cowardly to do anything about anything! But, Dear God, she wanted this to end! None of her works were selling well; actually, none of her works were selling ... at all...Everyone was too scared to go out, at any time.
MaliciousAngel 06-11-04, 09:58 PM	The MaliciousAngel solemnly picks up the bag along with Mr. Henscot and the two deposit the body into the flatbed of a truck. The truck whirs off into the evening. MA waves the truck away with a nod...Turning back to the group he picks his broom back up. "Who said you could do nothing lass? There is always an action, but many are not desireable...We find out who killed him, and we take action. The police have gone into hiding. It is more dangerous to be them than us right now..." He looks over the top of his broom and around the crowd.

Dragon Master 06-11-04, 10:58 PM	Looks over at Drizzt and nods, looking back to Malicious, the scornful and fearful look he had bore before now gone. It appears to be replaced with... hope... of a sort. "Drizzt has a point... if the police cannot do anything, how are we suppose to? And how are we suppose to find out who did kill him? I see the points you are trying to make, and it would be good if we could do these things... but we are all but simple people... but if you have an idea, I would be more then willing to hear it."
MaliciousAngel 06-12-04, 12:53 AM	He looks at the group... "All you are is a simple person...All I am is a simple person. If any one of us takes up the law, then yes...Death shall find us...But together...Together we are strong. But we must stay together. You lads..You are not mob...I feel very strongly about that. I feel as though I can trust you. I see sadness and sympathy, the mob is not that. You...You I can trust... Do you know why some animals can travel in heards? Because predators will try to strike them all, and then get none....Together we can be so strong..." He looks around and shrugs... "But who am I? I am not a leader friends...I cannot properly make such decisions...But I will follow you lads..." He nods, content with the decisions that he has made, and continues sweeping
Dragon Master 06-12-04, 01:32 AM	D thinks for a moment "So, if we are sheep without a shepard, are we just a herd roaming aimlessly? If someone were to assume a position of shepard, they would be shot by the wolves... excuse my philosophical talk, but you may be right. A herd of shepards is probably better then a herd of sheep. We must just be wary of the black sheep..." D sighs, apparently having confused himself in the way he talked and shakes his head. He looks around, hoping the others understood the point he was trying to get across

"I agree with Khaira, we have to do some thing about this our selves!" She took a sip of the water pulling a face at the way it tasted. "As Malicious said and D was trying to say..I think. We need to stick together in this. To find the killer before he strikes again."

Perhaps some of us saw or heard something unusual last night... even the smallest bit of detail might be important, so let us not hold back."

Dragon Master 06-13-04, 12:48 AM	D hmms to himself and then nods "Perhaps the killers new your rounds on the streets, and payed extra close attention to avoiding you... is there anyone you know who you normally pass who wasn't there?" D thinks to himself "Last night I spent a lot of my time reading in front of the fireplace, as I usually do... anyway, I had fallen asleep on my couch in my living room (also not an uncommon thing), but I was woken up rather late into the night by a tire screeching outside... it was quite loud. I got up, but by the time I got to my window to look outside, the car had already sped down the street." D shrugs "Anyone else get a better look at it? It may have just been a bunch of teenagers, it has happened before..."

I've heard of returning to the scene of the crime... but I thought that was only in books..."

"If the person is evil enough to cut up the body like that...then he or she would most likely come back here. Just to see the reaction from others. Father walks up to Kulideb. "Sweet young Kulideb, tell me my sister in the Lord, have you heard of anyone saying as of late that they wanted to kill someone?" He looked around. "You know at the bar you hang out at? it may have been said in jest; or out of simple talk between two people over a minor thing... But now it may be are only clue."

I passed a bootblack, one of the lamp lighters in the old neighborhood. Light traffic of the evening. But nothing out of the ordinary...I asked some of the other guys on different routes...They saw nothing...Now as for this being professional...No...This is personal. Why would a professional cut someone into pieces? That one was made to suffer...Another unnerving thought..."

I may indeed wish to be rid of them, like all of you, so that I may sleep well at night, but if that is your only reason and proof to warrant my 'being punished' then I guess I'll not bother to sway you... but i'd watch where you tread, if you think I were to kill Shade because I wish to get rid of the mafia, then people may begin to think yourself rather suspicious for getting rid of those that do wish the mafia gone. Think about it. I base my vote purley on suspicion, and my evaluation of those taking an active role to stop this from happening again, nothing more. But if you are so sure of the obviousness of my guilt, then so be it. " If not outside then someone cheap! I have noticed that Dragon Master 3, always passes the offering plate without putting a dime in. A sneer crossed his lips...Walking up very calmly, he looks into Malik's eyes. "You will help me bury this man...This... innocent man." He cuts the man down and puts him into the back of a truck. After this is done he sits on the back and looks over the group. Hearing Adept_Randuil, he walks across the lot, and stares at him for the moment...Lightening never struck so fast. Solidly, squarely, the street sweeper punched Randuil in the stomach, and spat. "And what is it when it is your friend who dances the tyburn jig?" He sweeps a finger over the crowd... "It was you who wrought his death! Look to yourselves, you victimizing crowd. If you once again search for murderers, look for those who so adamently sought the blood of a man of piety...And those who are apathetic to see the result. In either case you find guilty men and women. Murderers and Scoundrels...For this man not only proclaimed his innocence through all of your attacks, but you had the word of others... I swore I would follow that man... I seem to think that the best way of doing that now though, is bring to justice those that brought his death...The mob. For now I have my suspicions, rash wantons, for I have seen the fruits of some of your labors...But now, I have a grave to dig." He walks past Malik on his way to his business. "Get in the truck." He starts up the truck, and its engine echoes about the buildings and silent streets.

Looking around she see's nothing missing...except maybe Malik. Concerened she runs up the stairs, checking all the romoms. Eventually she finds his bedroom, and him. Obviousely murdered in his sleep, blood soaks the bed in which he lays........ Malik21, a townie, has been murdered by the Mafia in the night. Time to go at it again, this time we really only need 6 votes to lynch.

Sitting down under the tailgate he leans against the wheel well...No man deserves this...Not even him...He leans over and spit something out into the gutter...For a long time he sits.

"I have waited for hours for the police...They have yet to arrive...I am not sure what good it would do...Looking for evidence on the body. The poor bastard." He doesn't look up.

Tony dropped the bread and ran over to the boy shaking him,"What's wrong with you boy! You almost gave me a heart attack. Now take it slowely and tell me what happened." Minutes later........ Tony is seen running down the street towards the crime scene putting on his jacket, and fuddling with his hat. He finally get's to the street sweepers truck out of breath and panting,"What.... happen...ed? Did anyone..... see who did..it?"
