| Let me tell you a Story11-13-03, 07:33 PM | In a tranquil glade sits a lovely woman of fair skin and long blond hair. A round green marble table, is in the middle of this mystical place. As you move closer to her you can see that around her is a classic Stone Hinge. Tall blocks of hand cut stone, defining this magical place for what it is and what it isn’t. It is neither dusk nor dawn but somewhere in between. Magical fairies dancing around like glow bugs, near this lone woman. She sadly smiles as she awaits all those who have been here before and will be again. But her heart sings for those of new magic, someone who can add to the destiny that lays before them. Alone unicorn walks steadily near her not wanting to leave this enchanting woman alone. (Ooc) To all I thank you who join this is a gathering place for magical beings who seek to help those less fortunate. Many things are happening in the realms and so this story will try to tie them together. I will be looking at the MOP Boards and seeing where and when great magic users, Wizards, Sorcerers, and the alike. Can be sent and why they should.to help out in other stories. This is a meeting place to speak of things that have been, and will, as well those who suffer in the now. COME ONE COME ALL! JOIN IN ON THIS ROUND TABLE OF POWER! |
| Aaron Sindweller11-13-03, 08:17 PM | "...I'm here." And so he was, as the woman could feel the almost discomforting presence of the Shadow Weave nearby...eminating from a dark-clad figure of dark-blue wear. "...I just hope...this isn't a waste of my time." Jet black hair that covered one of his green eyes, eyes that seemed to always stare at a person as a gemcutter would a rough jewel, trying to find both the flaws and the strengths with a detailed glance. True, he wasn't the most tactful...but from his actions, it was obvious that his intentions were pure. "...Aaron Sindweller, by the way." Sindweller. Didn't seem too promising in the 'virtuous surnames' category. Pale skin, not racial...but rather, from an amazing lack of sunlight. In the very least, one was spared from seeing such a white shade from the concealing tendencies of this clothing; a very loose dark blue mantle secured by a crimson amulet-clasp, over a dark-blue shirt tucked into loose dark blue trousers. A small dagger hung by his waist, a crimson teardrop of a gem adorning it's hilt. His boots made no sounds at all...further deepening this man's appearence of being a shadow of sorts, or even a ghost. "...Archmage, and Shadow Adept, at your service. But you understand I don't mean that...I hate when others think of me as a pawn, you know." In the way of protection...his only weapon seemed be a black staff inlaid with crimson gems and glowing runes of a deep, almost blood-red color that traced deep into the metal, occaisonally pulsing with dull light. He carries it in his hand lightly, as if merely a walking cane...despite his amazing youth, seemingly of twenty-some years. Much too young for an archmage, many say...but his ability didn't come from years of study...but rather...potent blood. "...where're the others?" A Shadow Mage, who claimed to be good? Odd. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-13-03, 10:03 PM | The glade was strangely quit, but she knew that this was a sign of magic to come. A breeze seems to pickup, drawing her long blond over her right shoulder. When suddenly a voice spoke out, seductive but firm, he spoke his name with authority and purpose. That name that spoken was “Aaron Sindweller”. She stood showing her thin body, barely clothed in an Elvin short tunic. But as this delicate enchantress moved around the ruff cut, marble table. She wiped away a tear, and smiled at the young man. “My Lord Sindweller, I am truly humbled by your coming to my glade. If you wish you may call me Emeraldeyes of the glade.” As Emeraldeyes says this, she bows on one knee and puts her hand over her breast. Ooc thank you for joining |
| D'win11-13-03, 10:29 PM | From a far off distance you can see a dot of ruby red getting closer and closer. When the spot is finally in view, you see it is a women in a red cloak, with what appers to be wings under it. "I do hope that I showed up in time? Am I late!?" As she speaks, her voice reminds you of chims in the wind. Her hair is long, a golden brown with red tips, and also has a faint wave to it. Her eyes though are a deep rich brown that hold many in their depths, but are also filled with wisdom. Also about her person, you notice a shoulder bag that seems to be bulging with books and other things, there is also a long broad sword at her hip. As you look at her more, you see that there are symbols, elvish and runic letters that adorne her hands. "I am D'win, Keeper of the Stories of the Fallen Angels and the Keeper of the Book of Mortals. I am also well trained in the way of a sword and also in the Art of Magic. I believe that I may be of some help." Making a slight bow at the waist, she asks. "May I ask your names?" |
| Let me tell you a Story11-13-03, 10:57 PM | Emeraldeyes stands and after a few minutes of polite conversation, with the Arch-Mage Aaron Sindweller. She sees a light, a ruby in the sky coming closer. The woman that is reveled is well known amongst those who seek stories of past, present and future. It was D’win an angelic being from distant realms. “D’win your reputation has been carried on the wind, your words spoken by all the enchanted creatures who listen in day and the night. May bards sing the day you have graced me with such as you. I am Emeraldeyes, and this young man is a most powerful Arch-mage and Shadow Mage, Aaron Sindweller.” She says this as she gives bows once more to her guests. |
| Ssussunriyh11-13-03, 11:43 PM | From the far side of the glade, a pale white figure approaches. A slender, elegant woman of indeterminate age, clad in flowing white silk robes that covered her from chin to wrist to toe. She stands barely five feet tall and might weigh around a hundred pounds. Her skin is as fair as alabaster, and her hair as white as newly fallen snow. Finely sculpted features and delicately pointed ears proclaim elven heritage. Her eyes are a brilliant ruby-red, and hold a gaze of such intensity that they seem to pierce and penetrate what they gaze upon instead of merely viewing. Her demeanor is as stark as the color scheme of her attire; haughty and dignified, with an underlying hard edge. She bears no weapons, but it is apparent by her manner and bearing that she has no need for them. One gets the impression that, if she suddenly decided to walk through a wall, the wall would offer a hasty apology before it scrambled out of her way. She stops a short but respectful distance away, leaning upon a slender walking stick of polished ebony with an ornately engraved silver knob-handle. A silver circlet set with a single large ruby rests upon her brow, and a ring of identical design adorns her left hand. An amulet depicting a blue-white star hangs around her neck. "Lady Bianca Ssussunriyh, also called the Loremistress... as well as other, less flattering monikers." She smiles coldly. "But the opinions of my detractors are of little concern to me. As for my vocation, the list includes sage, teacher of magic, and servant of the Lady Of Mysteries." |
| Let me tell you a Story11-14-03, 12:41 AM | “Please everyone join me if you would be so kind, and sit at our meeting table.” Just as Emeraldeyes was taking her seat, a most lovely Elf came into view through the mist. She seemed proud, like her race was known for, and her mannerisms proclaimed respect. When this Elvin woman introduced herself, the name given was truly poetic “Ssussunriyh” Emeraldeyes stood from behind the large round table. “To meet an Elvin enchantress of your abilities, has truly added to us all; and for this great cause in helping the lesser races. I welcome you Ssussunriyh who serves the Lady Of Mysteries. I am Emeraldeyes” She gives small bow from behind the table, then points to an empty seat. “I beg thee woman of the most ancient of races, please sit with us, for thy wisdom is needed in these times of trouble.” |
| Ssussunriyh11-14-03, 11:14 AM | Upon hearing Emeraldeyes' greeting, Bianca chuckles quietly to herself, as if at some private joke. . o O (If they only knew... But now is not the time for such revelations. All in due course...) She bows her head in acknowledgement and takes a seat, resting her cane across her lap. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-14-03, 03:28 PM | The glade began to grow ever so misty allowing the moonlight to barely filter in. Even as the sun rose? Or was it setting? In this enchanting place it seem that the perfect balance; between Night, and Day had been achieved. Emeraldeyes looked around the table at the three who had joined the group. “Ssussunriyh I will be most pleased to introduce the others, to my right is Lady D’win an Angelic being, and whose knowledge of angels, far surpasses most libraries. Straight across form me is a powerful lord of magic, an Arch-mage in fact. Aaron Sindweller, don’t let His youthful looks full you, for he can not hide his magical intensity.” She pauses as her unicorn whispers in her ear. “I see thank you, my friend.” She turns back to the others. “Allow me to start, for some of you, its is clear to why we are here, never the lees, as host I shall go into detail. Mortals are in a constant turmoil through out the realms. Even Celestial cities are under siege. We have all heard the rumors of war and the fact of it. I have convened this counsel of Magic. To intervene in the lives of those we deem fit. This place will be refuge for us, so that we may seek wisdom and solitude from the ravel” She looks up with tears forming in her eyes. “I can only pray that we make the right choices, yet I shall share what I know is going on that could concern us.” Emeraldeyes looks to her unicorn for strength before going on. “Some of the rumors I have found most disturbing come from where else? A hive of gossip, that’s right, a tavern. It goes by the name ‘Flute and Boot Inn.’ It is apparently located near the forest, about hours walk from a famous pirate town, called Balduors Gate. Just yesterday did my informant Hogath the dwarf barkeep, send me sad news of Lady Astrianna, an Elvin Druid, who name is well respected amongst her kind. Her story is a sad one, a strange enemy has attacked and nearly burned her ancient forest that she guards. Lady_Astrianna, has given up hope of saving her former home. But never the less I share this troubling news, so that we can keep an eye out, for more evil like this, and I pray intervene sooner.” She moves her hand, to pull back her long blond hair, and takes a deep breath then continues. “In the town of Elyiia. Prelude to War A blind man that I have been told is named Acaed, sits in a building hierings anyone. Be they good or evil, to join his mercenary army, for war against an even larger army; of Necromancers, possibly blood mages. I know little else of this, but I would be most pleased, if any of you can find out more. So the counsel of Magic” She points around the table. “Can have a clear understanding on what to do” “I have called you all here, to hear your words, not the sound of my voice. Please tell me and the those around you, of anything that could help in understanding what takes place in the realms.” Ooc Ok everyone thank you for joining, I have slanted the "title" words for the MOP story lines, that I have talked about above. Please go see those stories or others to add to our knowledge base. It can be from other boards or even books you have read and games you have played just let us know some how. This story called MAGIC can be a place for you to advertise your own story, if you wish. Like I said before to some of you. This place is used to talk just like tavern for wizards, but without the drunks ;) |

Bianca blinks. "Acaed? I know this man... At least, I used to. When last I saw him in person, which was quite some time ago, his was a troubled soul, but not a malevolent one. Nor was he blind, as far as I remember. However, people can and do change, you know..." |
| Aaron Sindweller11-15-03, 05:16 PM | Aaron simply chuckled at his own introduction, by Emerald. "Archmage is a title soley granted to me due to luck. All it's really done has made me arrogant. And...well...why're we just collecting information about this lady-druid who needs help? Why don't we just help her?" In fact...the man stands up, seemingly...slightly disturbed. Many of the more wisened at the table could easily see why he would make a poor official figure, considering the hold that emotion has over him. His eyes are narrowed at the table. "I....I say we help her out. You can come if you wish." Not waiting to see if he dragged anyone else in...Aaron traces an ominous symbol into the air...and soon, he's gone. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-16-03, 12:22 AM | Emeraldeyes nods her head at the words Bianca speaks. prelude to war “I see then, you knew him before his loss of sight. As you say this and other things may have changed him. Yet I pray you and he are still friends, maybe he will share with you why he has taken on such rift raft. Has he has grown desperate? It could be Acaed needs a friend like you guide him with advice. I for one believe you can tell Acaed the truth on why you have come to him. That being this counsel of Magic Users, wanting to know. But forgive here you have just arrived and I am all ready trying get you to go. Please don’t be upset with me. I only wish the best for the realms.” At that rambunctious moment Aaron stood up and proclaimed his attention of helping the Druid at the Flute and Boot Inn/tavern. “But Aaron!” She tried to warn him but it was to late he was gone. “Sadly he may find not all want help, or even receive it when it’s for their own good” Emeraldeyes shakes her head. “Listen to me, I wish him only the best, and may he help us with his bold action of intervention.” Just then the unicorn walked up and handed her a book. “What is this? Drizzit the drow, You were the first unicorn he saw? I think that is wonderful that the higher powers, used you to Inspire Drizzit the Ranger.” She then turns to the others. “I think what this sweet Unicorn is trying to tell me is that sometimes we can help the lesser races, through symbolical inspiration. By showing them signs, such as the this unicorn was used to encourage Drizzit.” |
| Ssussunriyh11-16-03, 01:19 AM | Bianca looks noncommittal. "I am on no one's side, beyond those who have named me friend, and I them. However I do recall certain words of wisdom from a king of the Very Ancients..." I greet thee in the name of the New Kingdom. From chaos have we created order, from strife have we enabled peace, from greed have we encouraged sharing. Not I alone, but the Army has done this. Not we alone, but the Art has done this. These are the weapons of which I give thee charge, and warning: The Army is our visible strength - Offer them respect; Be ever worthy of their loyalty. The Art is our secret wisdom - Seek out the discontented; Give them answer, not penalty. This is the task with which I charge thee as first duty: As you read the scholar's meaning within the craftsman's skill, so read within yourself your commitment: To guide To lead To learn To protect If you lack a high need to improve life for all men, then turn aside now, for you would fail the kingdom. I greet thee in the name of the New Kingdom, and I charge thee: care for it well. I am Zanek, King of Gandalara "If only there were more who knew these words, and took them to heart..." |
| Agudo Archmage11-16-03, 10:17 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Through the vale walked a blond haired man, whose eyes sparkled warmth of the Light. He took note of all who set at in this place of contemplation. By his cloths one could tell he was wizard, for his blue and white robes had mystical Celtic markings; and his hand held the classic magical staff, with a blue orb on top. Walking closer the group, he was careful to listen to the poem, said by the stunningly beautiful Elf Ssussunriyh. After she was done he lit his corncob pipe, filling the air with sweet cinnamon spice. Then after putting it into his mouth, he started to clap his hands and smiled. Before taking the corncob pipe out of his mouth, this wizard gave a tip of his hat; in greeting to all. Then speaks to the Elvin woman, who spoke the poetry. “May the Light guide your paths into poetry as lovely as yours, oh Elvin bard of my heart” He smiles at everyone at the table and walks to the edge of it. “Allow me to introduce myself, I am Agudo, the Archmage of Light. I would be honored to sit among such knowledgeable people.” Turning to D'win he waves his hand and winks at her before speaking. "You D'win are the definition of Knowledgeable and I am truly pleased to see you." He turns once more to Ssussunriyh he puts his hand over his heart. “Thank you for such an insightful reading. I am always interested in good writings such yours. If you have anymore I would be the first to ask for more. In fact I have never heard of this King of Gandalara is he an Elvin king?” The mage keeps standing waiting on the host to speak |
| Ssussunriyh11-16-03, 12:11 PM | "Permit me to correct you. It was not a poem. It was an inscription upon a bronze tablet found in the ruins of an ancient city. A kind of instruction and warning from the first king to his successors, as it were. "And as far as anyone knows, King Zanek of Gandalara was not elven. The ruins pre-date the migration of the elves to Toril. As I said, he was of the Very Ancients. It took me years to decipher the inscription... "Nor am I a bard. At least, I do not consider myself one. I am mage, sage, scholar, teacher, and initiate of the clergy of Mystra. But I leave the craft of song and poetry to those with more aptitude for it." |
| D'win11-16-03, 01:24 PM | Sitting at a chair that had a high back on it, D'win listens as the EmeraldEyes speaks. "She must really have a diffrent name, Emerald Eyes sounds elfish and she does not seem to be an elf or is of elf kind. Oh well." Then seeing the Aaron left, she sighed. "He needs to come back. He would be of great help to us all." As she continued to listen to EmeraldEyes talk, she left a presence that she had felt before. "Agudo!" Turing around she found that she was correct. "Agudo, my strange friend. What enlighted you about this meeting. Was it your Owl or something else." Laughing she turns her attention back to EmeraldEyes. "I know of some of the happenings in Celestial and I know of one that may help, but he has not been seen in many years. I will not speak his name though, I fear that he is missing and may never be found agian. But enough of this sadness, we are here to help mortals, not to discuss the problems they are having. Who do we want to help out first?" Smiling D'win leans back on her chair and pulls out both of her books and sets out writing very quickly, capturing all that was going on around her. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-16-03, 10:03 PM | Emeraldeyes was lost in a dream when the voices brought her back. She realized that someone new had arrived. From the sound of things D’win was familiar with this man. Ssussunriyh had given the counsel words from an very old text, that she was educating this new wizard about. “I see we have lost one Arch-mage but gained another. It is a pleasure to see an old friend of D’win, and if you are a believer in the light, as you say I welcome you. We have gathered together to help lesser racers as D’win has said. Please sir Agudo sit and I hope you can stay for awhile, yes?” |
| Agudo Archmage11-17-03, 10:01 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Agudo had one of those voices that sounded like a warm fatherly figure. Deep yet friendly, as if he was talking to a long lost family member. Ssussunriyh the strong-minded Elvin woman had just goten done with her reprimand of his mistake, on thinking it was poetry,; then he spoke. He raised an eyebrow and gave a big grin, as he held onto his corncob pipe. “The sound of your melody voice, can throw off even the most powerful of wizards. I have been duly corrected, and as a history buff, and writer of history in my own book. You have given me, and I assume the others, a gift from the past. I thank you!” Agudo bows ever so slightly still smiling at the lovely Elf. But then the friendly barb from D’win brought his attention back to the others. “Yes D’win it has been to long that we have seen each other, I hope a more happier ending this time. As far as wisdom, you are correct as always D’win. It is my wise white owl who pointed the way. With that he held out his hand and looked up at a near by tree. Down flew snow owl, who landed with ease on the mage. “May wisdom guide all of you in this bold moment in history, for it is true I was the one who heard the calling from the animals in the forest. I am Lady Hoot .” She looks at Emeraldeyes and smiles, as only an enchanted Owl can do. At that moment Emeraldeyes spoke and welcomed him. “Thank you kind lady, may I know your name? As well as the lovely Elvin woman? Who has and may I say, rightfully so, educated me on Elvin poetry and History." Agudo sits down with Lady Hoot and takes a long puff on his pipe. |
| Ssussunriyh11-17-03, 11:49 AM | Bianca rolls her eyes at Agudo's flowery compliments. . o O (Humans... As always, they concentrate on looks and ignore accomplishments. I wonder how he would react if I revealed that I am actually a drow elf?) |
| eriwoj11-17-03, 08:51 PM | A bitter wind suddenly sweeps the glade and for a moment the air seems to turn to ice, allowing the pale light to dance in a million radient beems. Then, suddenly a old almost haggard looking woman appears floating on air in a cross legged position and she gentlely floats down to the ground by the table. Her clothing is an odd mix of Eastern and Southern design. She were's many loose skirts with silk pants underneath, her shirts are light and blow freely in the cold wind, all her clothes are of grays and faded blues, and her gray white hair is covered by a strange beaded headdress. Her eyes are stark white and she carries a plain wooded staff. "Forgive me if I am late. D'win invited me to tag along so to say. I am not yet a master at magic, but my powers grow everyday, and I am willing to learn. Will you allow me to join you? Or just say the word and I shall be on my way." |
| firelizard Brad11-17-03, 10:30 PM | Another small flying animal makes its way into the clearing. It appears to be a small bronze dragon, and it seems to be looking for someone among the gathered people. It spots who it's looking for and with a satisfied chirp, Dive bombs at Agudo the Archmage of Light. Pulling up short, it lands on the shoulder that Lady Hoot is not perched on and gives a smug little chirp as it looks everyone else over. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-18-03, 12:16 AM | Emeraldeyes could not help but giggle, at the light wizards flattering words that he spoke to everyone. “ I can see why you our called the Arch-mage of light, for you know how to light a girls heart with flattery. Yet I have been a rude host, and I apologies. My name is Emeraldeyes” She then points to Ssussunriyh. And this, what was those words you used Agudo? Ahh yes lovely Elvin woman; is "Lady Bianca Ssussunriyh and I believe she has given you her titles. Turning to D’win Emeraldeyes looked at her for a moment then spoke. “Tell me who is this angelic being you speak of that is lost?” As if on cue before D’win could respond, others arrived almost at the same time. A cold wind hits, and Emeraldeyes holds onto her papers, as everything gets blown around. An old woman speaks asking to join. “If you are a friend of D’win as Agudo is, then I welcome you, I am Emeraldeyes. Please be seated and welcome, to the counsel of magic we choose to intervene in the lives of the realms. May the counsel have the pleasure of your name?” Then someone else came flying in and landed on the Agudo. It seem to be friendly enough. Emeraldeyes laughed at this new arrival. “I must say Agudo you do have a lot of familiars don’t you?” |
| eriwoj11-19-03, 10:19 AM | "I call my self Silxa, though I have had numorous names, all of which I wish to forget. Please do not be fooled by my apperance, for I am not near as old as I seem. When I began recieving or rather developing powers it weathered me heavily at first. And I beg of you do not be offened if I speak or listen without looking at you. I can not help that." |
| Agudo Archmage11-19-03, 01:22 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley When The Archmage of Light saw the elderly lady, who seemed rather insecure about being here. For some reason the mage could sense he knew her? But where did he see her before? But before Agudo could think further Ruthia’s family showed up. To be exact on his shoulder. “Brad? ….Why hello what has brought you hear my little friend?” Just then Emeraldeyes was amused at the number of familiars he has. He smiled but shook his head. “No my lady Emeraldeyes, He is a friend of mine, may I introduce you to Brad.” After the introduction his attention was brought back to the old woman. When her name was given Agudo was surprised to hear it said by this withered old hag. {Silxa} Agudo raised his eyebrow and took out his corncob pipe. “Silxa? …Is….Is that you?” He stood up and walked over to her and slightly knelt by her side. “It hasn’t been that long since we first met, maybe a year or so. Yet look at you! Did I understand you right? That magic has done this to you.” |
| eriwoj11-19-03, 04:15 PM | "Yes, my old friend. It is not of evil magic though. It is all in goodness, for now I am too old to die or rather I am sort of dead already. In some places it is an aid, people wish to help an old woman. In others they run screaming from me, yelling witch and the like. But as I was told by some happenstance prophet on my most recent travels, I would come into power and the power would tell me whether I could trust a person or if they were in need of enlightenment simply by them looking upon me. I suppose the prophecy has come true. Mind you though, I am still as spry, happy, and strong as when I looked young." "But, you though, Agudo, the last I remember of you is that I stepped outside for a breath of fresh air and when I returned, I smelled blood and death. Someone told me that it was you who had been in a fight and was slain. How can that be?" |
| D'win11-20-03, 01:07 PM | Laughing heartly at Agudo's sholder's that were full of fimilirs, D'win wrote down a few more things and then leaned back to talk. "Silxa, it is good of you to come. I am guessing that my directions were not vage. That is good, I have never been good at directions." Then turning to Agudo, she spoke. "It really has been along time since we spoke or even saw each other last. Tell me, have you seen Kheldar at all in your wide travels, I miss the prankster. But I do like the fact that none have tried taking my dagger agian, I don't think he liked the out come very much..." Smiling to herself, she continues. "You seen to have grown a collection with your friends, I would prefere the dragons though, I was never much of a bird person, unless it was a Falcon. My fimiliars are cats by the names of Mistoffelees and Rafiki, they are in my Library in Haven. It would be to dangerous for them out here." EmeraldEyes had asked about her old friend, "Why did I mention him, WHY?! Oh well, I will tell, but I will now have to commit all my mind power to trying to forget him agian." "His full name or at least the name that I first knew him by was Malicious Angel, but I later learned that one of his many names was Trand. He is or was a Fallen Angel of sorts, like myself in a way, but I had a choose. When I 'fell' it was either leave or be killed, I would rather live so I left. He, I don't think he had a choose. But I that is what I remember of him right now, I try not thinking of him, because my mind tends to wander when thinking of him. Just ask Silxa, she would know." |
| Let me tell you a Story11-20-03, 01:25 PM | Silxa was speaking with the light wizard, and Silxa words made Emeraldeyes stop from her reading. oO …Did she say blood? Was Agudo a battle mage?… Oo She kept her thought to herself and was still contemplating the fact that this old woman was much younger in years. When D’win seemed to brighten and laugh, as she looked at Agudo and his zoo, of creatures. But then D'win became serous again and told a sad tale of her friend now known as Trand. “I see D’win your story is so sad, and Trands as well, someday I hope to hear you tell us the whole story, of your forced leave from heaven and Trands. For I believe all knowledge should be shared, and retold; so that the future may not repeat the mistakes of the past.” |
| Let me tell you a Story11-20-03, 01:41 PM | Emeraldeyes was just talking to D'win when she seem to stop and listen to the wind. She smiled and opened her eyes. "I just heard that Aaron has arrived at the tavern Flute and Boot Inn "The Arch-mage is doing better than we had thought., or at least I. I am glad may the story be told of his brave deeds, no matter how they turn out." She thinks for a long time and with out saying why she starts to read a poem. Tree of Life board * poem by Bhryn There will always be those summer fields, Bathed in endless love and light. I loved to walk through that long grass, From Dawn til Dusk, day and night. There we took our love, to stay a while And drown in the sun of sweet. Gold and Silver wash down the waves As I fall to my knees, replete. Can you stay with me, for a little more And love til the day goes down. There will be those ones, who will never know All those things we have sown. ~You can keep all my promises to heart, I swear they bind me strong and true. No matter how many times I make my vow, I'll forever bathe in blue, gold, silver and blue.. I'll take all your promises for my soul, To sleep on in my dreams so soft. In those days we still have left together, We'll all find that which we covet wasn't lost...~ Can you remember me, since you went away, Or even recall our sad story? So many years have passed us by, awry Touching me not in lonely glory. You'll smile as you can still see me, touch my hand For I remain real. There will always be those summer fields, As long as we continue to feel. There will always be, those summer fields Bathed in eternal love and light. Bathed in eternal love, and light. ~Bhryn'o'vyl __________________ Emeraldeyes looks around after she is done and smiles to all. "I had to share that, for it came to me in the wind." |
| Agudo Archmage11-20-03, 05:00 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley “Silxa it is you then, I am pleased that you still have your chipper insight on life.” Agudo would have said more but the sight of him, caring two familiars was to much for D’win who had a good laugh. But Lady Hoot spoke up. “As an enchanted owl, I consider myself more than just a bird D’win. Yet I would be glad to fly to your home and see your cats. An the thought of seeing your own personal library would give me joy at all the wisdom you have stored.” Agudo chuckles as well. “Now D’win the little dragon his shy right now but soon he will say why he is here.” He returns his attention to Silxa. “Well yes that was true an old relationship with a dark Elf came back to open old wounds….. “ he winks at Silxa. “Not just emotional but physical, by the blood you saw. But lets just save how that all happen for latter." Then Emeraldeyes spoke in a poem that caught everyone attention. "Very lovely Emeraldeyes I am shocked at how good that was" |
| firelizard Brad11-21-03, 08:58 AM | Finally over coming his shyness the little dragon states his ententions. ((This part will show in everyone's minds (Those who allow it) as a picture, as this is how Brad communicates.)) Everyone see's a picture of a name (BRAD) then see's a picture of a lady dressed in white, then a picture of a pair of eyes. Agudo, who has been communicated with this way before, atomatically gets what the picture says and can tell everyone else. |
| eriwoj11-21-03, 02:01 PM | "Ah so the little fellows name is Brad. A lady in white? If I remember correctly women wear white when they join into loving union with a man. Eyes?" "Now there is something to be longed for," Silxa chuckles to herself. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-21-03, 05:49 PM | (ooc ok just a reminder, that anything slanted is normally a story on the MOP boards) “I must say, your little friend Agudo may be silent in voice, but clear in thought. Pleased to meet you Brad, yet who is the charming woman in white as Silxa has said?” Emeraldeyes closes her eyes for a moment then opens with a flash “I am disturbed by what I have just heard in the wind. Evil of the vilest kind, is moving in a city, Hell incarnated. The name is not clear to me. Yet darkness prevails in such a place. Great poverty and demons slither near those that can be tempted.” She stops and breaths with tears coming down her cheeks. “I beg your pardon, I find such things troubling, If anyone knows of someone or can themselves go and see what this is about. It would be of great help to our cause. She smiles a forced smile. “I forgot to thank you Agudo for your kind words about the poem. It was not mine, but still the one who said it first is very talented in deed” |
| Drindin11-23-03, 11:15 AM | A young girl, no taller than three feet, with nearly transparent white skin, and eyes just as transparent, but blue, walks into the glade. She looks rather sickly, being quite thin, and has a brown hair tied back in a pony tail, leading down between her shoulders. She wears a blue, silken dress with her dead uncles black cloak resting over her shoulders. She looks around nervously and quietly, expecting to see Agudo... |
| Agudo Archmage11-23-03, 09:07 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Brad indeed had over come his shyness, and gave everyone a mental picture of his name Bard. Also of Agudo’s dear friend Ruthia. “Why Brad I knew you could do it” He smiles as he rubs the head of the little dragon. Turning to Silxa and Emeraldeyes, chuckling at her comments about a matrimony and the color. “The woman in white is Ruthia a very close friend of mine, she is from Purn. A world full of Dragons. She being a white Dragon of the good kind.” Just then through the brush of the glade came Krissy, who Agudo was expecting. “Ahh Krissy my young friend you have arrived just as I had prayed.” He walks over and smiles “I hope your travels went well? But come and I will introduce you to the others.” He leads Krissy to the table and happily points to this young girl. “Allow me to introduce a most interesting girl. Her name is Krissy and she as you can see, seems to be part ghost and part human. Sadly she was an experiment by her Necromancers group of some type. The result was a sickly human body and a lively ghost body.” He waits as others look at her |
| firelizard Brad11-23-03, 09:39 PM | Brad chirps at all the attention he is getting when suddenly a girl comes running out of the bushes. Instead of being surprisedor looking the poor child over like some vile experimante, Brad greets her with an honest hello. ((She recieves a picture of (If allowed) A big smile and the word HELLO! all outlined in a very cheerful blue color, showing Brad's true happiness in seeing a child.)) |
| Drindin11-23-03, 10:46 PM | Krissy looks at Agudo with some resentment. Just then, what seems to be a black cloud appears on some trees, and seems to be sucked into the form of the pale, black cloaked human, Drindin. Whom, is obviously a ghost. Agudo hears something in his head. Not an experiment, the result of prayers to wee-jas by my foolish sister. She wanted to bear her dead husbands seed. Wee-jas granted that, and clearly, Krissy was born. Early, too. The voice then resonates in the head of Agudo, Krissy, and pretty much everyone else except for Kulideb and Brad. I'm telling you all not to go through with this! You're going to get her KILLED! Drindin looks like he wants to say more, but another man appears. A taller man, battle torn with a tatoo of a greendragon on one arm, and a snake on the other appears, and pulls drindin away, saying something inaudible to him. Drindin is pulled away, and Krissy simply goes wide eyed as the two ghosts fade away into nothingness. Krissy looks up at Agudo, not sure of what to do. |
| firelizard Brad11-24-03, 07:56 AM | Not knowing what's going on, Brad sees the ghost and moves himself inbetween the child and the ghost. Trying to look slightly firce Brad seems to be protecting the child from the ghost. ((He doesn't know whats going on, animal instinct tells him to protect the young from anything he deems dangerouse.)) When he sees the ghost double, then leave, Brad chirps happly. He walks to the girl and stands in front of her, watching those assembled. He seems to have taken a liking to the child without knowing anything about her. ((Not that he would care, Brad sees child and automatically thinks protective no matter what. He cares nothing of half ghost/human or whatever.)) |
| D'win11-24-03, 11:20 PM | Writing away, D'win only sees the flash of "Brad" in her mind, she pays no attention to the other things that flash in and out. Then hearing a noise, she lifted her head to see that another had joined their pressence and that there was some sort of agrument that was going on. "Hmmmmmm, I really must pay attention better. I bet I just missed something to put in my books. Oh, well." Sitting back in her chair, she speaks to the group. "I am alittle confused, who here is Brad, speak up if you are him or something, I sort of missed all that just happened. I appologize now for any other times I might do that agian. EmeraldEyes, do you have anything to drink around here. I am thirsty or would I have to create or call up my own drink?" Laughing, she sat back and put a heel on the table, crossing the other leg of the first, she sat and waited to see if EmeraldEyes would answer her question. "I wonder if Silxa will notice that there is a person here with their foot on the table." Remebering that she had heard Lady Hoot say something, she made comment to her. "What was that you said to me Lady Hoot? I really am sorry that I missed it." |
| Let me tell you a Story11-25-03, 09:31 AM | Emeraldeyes took this time to walk over to her unicorn and whisper into the enchanted animal ears. Without delay it trotted over to D’win, and pointed its horn at the table. With a sparkling of white magical dust, a fine goblet of caramelized apple wine came into view. Emeraldeyes return to her seat and spoke gently to D’win. “ I hope this does not increase your forgetfulness my new angelic friend. But what the white owl had said.” Emeraldeyes looks at lady Hoot and gives polite smile, as if asking for permeation to answer the question. “Hoot had said, she would be happy to see your animals, and writings in heaven. As far as Brad, I believe its Agudo new friend that had landed on his shoulder; the little Dragon” Emeraldeyes then takes along look at Krissy. “Welcome young one who has dark spirits following her, and from what I hear you may be one herself. Let my glade give you peace. I am Emeraldeyes. Now from what Light Wizard has said you have somewhat infirmed body. Maybe the answer you seek, is the healing of the body, so that it is strong enough to stand with your spirit.” |
| eriwoj11-25-03, 09:53 AM | "D'win, your boots are on the table," coos Silxa, then adjusting herself in her seat, "I do not mind here for it is quiet and there are only a select few. None of whom, may I add, are drunken arses." "Brad," she addresses the little dragon, "can you not just chirp your messages? They would be easier for me to understand that way." "Ah, a young one. I see Agudo that you are still in the business of babysitting. No offense meant, it is good that someone looks after the lost and forlorn youth of our time," turning to the girl, "Come sit here by me." |
| firelizard Brad11-25-03, 04:11 PM | Brad chirps out an apoligy to Silxa. "I'm not use to talking this way, most can't understand me." He then gives a small flap of his wings and flies up to Krissy's shoulder, taking a light perch on it. o O(To Krissy: I like you, your nice.) |
| Agudo Archmage11-25-03, 11:41 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Agudo was pleased to see Silxa take a liking to the girl Krissy and Brad as well. This would make it easier on Krissy, but surprised him was D’win and her loss of concentration. He thought to himself. ..oO.. Was D'win always like this?…. I remember when we first met in that seedy Tavern..... D’win was a bit moody, even antagonistic…. But mostly I blamed her bitter and sullen companion Trand….. It took awhile for D’win to trust me, yet she seem to chipper up, even radiate with her friendly personality….Well at least when Trand wasn’t around …..Still D’win wasn’t absentminded…she did like her wine though!….But it has been a year or so…I wonder?….Oo… Agudo smiled and winked at Silxa. “ Yes my friend I strive to serve the Light, and show mercy on all who need it.” Then Emeraldeyes spoke of healing Krissy body. “I did bring her here to hear other ideas about helping Krissy and I am glad you came up with that idea…But how?” |
| Drindin11-26-03, 12:44 AM | Krissy glares at Emeraldeyes with some hint of disrespect as she mentions 'dark spirits' in reference to her two, though passed, defensive uncles. She moves over to Emeraldeyes, and allows her to look her over. The results are troubling, because there is no real ailment, simply that her body seems quite a bit weaker than that of most 'humans'. |
| Let me tell you a Story11-29-03, 09:54 PM | (ooc sorry everyone holiday an all!) Emeraldeyes bent down and took a long look at the girl. “I must say Krissy, your much prettier up close than I thought. Lovely hair, a darling face, and stunning eyes. Maybe we can strengthen your body, to make it healthier. That should cause the least amount of trouble and not endanger you.” Emeraldeyes breathed into Krissy face, as if blowing a kiss. She watched and waited for the enchantment to take effect. Once a hue of emerald appeared on Krissy skin, the enchantress took Krissy by the hand and shed a tear from her face onto Krissy palm. “Now Krissy in a few minutes we shall see, if your body grows like a blossoming rosebud, into a healthy teenage girl” (ooc Krissy does it work?) |
| Drindin11-30-03, 02:22 AM | Krissy closes her eyes in anticipation of the hopefuly-to-come change... Nothing initialy happens, however, after a few minutes, Krissy grips her stomach in a seeming pain, She fals to the ground, and it seems as if she leaves a wake of bluish-white mist as she does so, though there seems to be nothing substantial there. She begins to cough, and her body glows faintly. This goes on for roughly five minutes, but to Krissy and those who care for her, it feels like an eternity, as she coughs in pain and anguish. Afterwards, however, the magical energies subside, and Krissy is left, leaning over on her knees, coughing and looking just as she was previously. |
| Agudo Archmage12-01-03, 09:58 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley At first everything look like it was going well, Krissy seem to have a nice completion. Then the little girl doubled over in pain from emeraldeyes magic. Agudo bent down and tried to comfort Krissy until it stopped. “I am very disappointed Krissy, I had so hoped this would have worked for you. The idea was less direct, in healing your two sides; than some of the more direct, and possibly pain ways.” Agudo sat and look at the others for Ideas. |
| eriwoj12-01-03, 01:58 PM | Silxa instantly springs into action when she hears Krissy moan in pain and collapse. She removes her cloak and rolling it around her arm makes a pillow which she lays under the young girl's head and tries to keep everyone, especially Krissy, calm by kneeling down next to and talking to the girl. As the fit passes, Silxa encourages Krissy to relax until she has fully recovered. Lifting her head so she is face to face with Agudo and supporting Krissy as she kneels doubled over, Silxa says, "We have to find something that is less dangerous for her. We might have to try other things, but let us discuss treatment fully before we try anything else. I don't want to risk her life simply to try an unproven idea. There is no need to make her suffer a lot for a little bit of good." (OOC: Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday) |
| Drindin12-01-03, 08:35 PM | Krissy leaned back, sitting on the ground pulling her knees to her chest. "I... I guess this means... Drindin was right, then, wasn't he? There really is no cure that won't kill me... or do something much worse than that..." Krissy stared iceily at the surround bush, not saying anything after that, and after shrugging Agudo's hand off her shoulder. |
| eriwoj12-02-03, 11:17 AM | "Oh, dear child. Do not fear; there may yet be a way, a cure. We just need time. Perhaps we will find one perhaps not, but I will promise you, Krissy, we will try. And if we can not find a cure, I am quite sure that everyone assembled here will still be your friend and help to protect you," Silxa smiles reasuringly as she wraps her arms around the girl in a motherly hug. "I will not let you die," She whispers in Krissy's ear while still clutching her close. Then pulling away she gives the girl a light kiss on the cheek. "Brad, you cute little dickens, come here. I have learned that animals and children usually get along well especially where comfort and care is needed. Afterall, you tried to protect her once." |
| Let me tell you a Story12-03-03, 12:51 AM | Emeraldeyes looks sad at the way thing turned out. “Yes little one, let us not give up, we can make you well. D’win do you know of anything that can help Krissy” |
| eriwoj12-08-03, 11:20 AM | "Perhaps D'win may have an idea," Silxa says to Emeraldeyes, "After all she has not given us her imput on the situation yet." At the remark the whole assembly turns to D'win to hear what she has to say. |
| Agudo Archmage12-08-03, 11:18 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif The Archmage of Light turns with Silxa and looks too D'win for any hopeful ideas. |
| D'win12-09-03, 12:37 PM | D'win looks up from her writing to see that everyone in the group was looking at her. "Great, what did I miss this time?" Then reading through her notes, she finds that they had tried healing the young girl. "Fools, they will never be able to find anything that will help." Then turning to the group she speaks her mind. "You may never find a cure to help this girl. First she must want to be helped and second, she has been created by a person with evil intentions. Once their works are done, only they can fix or change them." Turning to the girl, she speaks. "I am sorry dear that you have to hear this, but it is the truth." D'win then resumes her writings and takes a drink of her wine. While writing she discovers that Agudo's thoughts had some how transfered into her pages. Reading, she discovers that Agudo does not trust that she is all together. "Agudo, what was that you were thinking" I would be carefull, I have powers that you can only dream of and also, speak lightly of my departed friend, he is one of the reasons you are still alive." Giving him a smile she sits back, her booted foot back on the table. |
| Drindin12-09-03, 06:07 PM | Drindin reappears with a rather frustrated look on his face. "Oh for the love of... She was created by a woman who loved her recently passed husband enough that she prayed to the goddess of Vanity and Necromancy to be able to carry his seed! Don't you people understand that! She's a fetch, not some half-human abomination like half-golems or some mongrel-girl! How many times do I have to repeat that story. "Secondly, I knew from the start there was no cure, simply because trying to remove or 'repair' a half-ghost is like trying to remove or 'repair' a half-elf or half-orc. It's hopeless. It's simply what she is. "Besides that, being a half-ghost has it's upsides. Same as being a ghost. For one, she has a very powerful, and innate magical nature, that she kindly demonstrated the extent of back at the school. For this, Sir Agudo, I'd ask you train her in how to tap that nature, you'd know more about it than myself." Sighing, Drindin looks around. "Speak ye not of the dead, for they shall return...." Suddenly, in a flash of brilliant, yet purpilish light... he was gone. |
| Let me tell you a Story12-10-03, 12:06 AM | Before Emeraldeyes could respond, the ghost had vanished. “I see, Agudo that ghosts are a bit touchy in death.” She said this with a smile. Well your body is sickly, that does not mean we cannot help it, become stronger with vitamins Krissy. Maybe with natural herbs from the Glade per haps. What do you say Krissy, would you like to try?” |
| eriwoj12-10-03, 01:40 PM | "I for one didn't think she could be 'cured' of being half ghost, but I did and still do believe that we can stengthen her human half. She just needs nurture and care. With a little time, training, and love she will become a strong young woman." |
| D'win12-15-03, 09:50 AM | "My, my, everyone sure has gotten quite, are you all waiting for me to say something agian. If are not please continue my pen does it's best work when people are talking and right now, no one is doing anything." Giving a misgivious smile, D'win looks at the whole of the group. "This is the oddest group that I have ever sat at. Let me see, we have Agudo, archmage, Silxa, wandering human with odd powers, a little girl who is half ghost, a dragon of sorts named Brad, Emerald Eyes, not sure what she is, the ghost or spirit that keeps poping in and out and then myself. This is truly an odd gathering of powers." "So is anyone going to start this conversation back up or not?" |
| Agudo Archmage12-15-03, 10:01 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley “I agree with Emeraldeyes and Silxa, but it is up to you Krissy. Would you like to try |
| Drindin12-16-03, 01:11 AM | Krissy remained silent. "No more magic..." was all she said. Then, for no obvious reason, she simply held out her hand. Almost as if at her own will, she cast the cantrip dancing lights on the area, which seemed to help her relax, as she laid down drifting into sleep. |
| eriwoj12-16-03, 10:54 AM | "Well I can't speak for everyone but I am a bit hungry and unless someone intends to produce food at another time. I would like to cook up some food. Would it be alright if I kindled a fire or is it forbidden in this glade?" Silxa stands up waiting for the answer but ready to scurry off to collect wood. |
| Let me tell you a Story12-18-03, 04:38 PM | Emeraldeyes stands and was more than a little pleased at the thought of a home cooked meal. “Silxa the thought of your delicate hand cooking us a meal would be a great pleasure” |
| eriwoj12-30-03, 11:26 PM | "Well, I am rather glad that you would like a meal, however . . . I seem to be a bit short on food items," she says as she diggs through her bag. "I have dried meats and a bit of strong old cheese, as well as the last of a bottle of rather poor wine. I am sure this glade has some eatable herbs and such. If we are able to find some and or others contribute I could make us a fine stew," she pauses a moment to think and then gives an oral list of everything needed. "I have a pot, but we need sticks to use as a stand to hang it form and wood to burn to heat it. Water to stew and soften the dried meat and boil the herbs. We need a source of spark to light the fire (Brad perhaps). and a cooperation and helpfulness from everyone to collect these items." (OOC Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and happy new year!) |
| Agudo Archmage12-31-03, 01:20 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Agudo smiles and starts looking around the glade for food. In a few minutes he returns with carrots and potatoes. “I see that this glade is fertile in edible foods. A good thing for I have heard that Silxa is a good cook.” He hands over the items and casts a fire spell on the kindling wood, |
| eriwoj01-03-04, 07:12 PM | Silxa produces a huntman's knife from the silk sash about her waist and begins to peel the carrots and potatoes as the fire begins to crackel under Agudo's spell. She then cuts the vegetibles into the pot and breaks the pieces of dried meat. Dropping them into the pot she again askes for something to hang the pot on over the fire and a bit of water to add to the pot. "If there are any other foods or spices that anyone likes feel free to add them to the pot at anytime,"she adds before pulling out the cheese and slicing it. |
| D'win01-03-04, 07:25 PM | A hand appears in Silxa's face, though she can not see it, she hears the motion. "Here Silxa, have some herbs, I have many in my bag that I carry. I can also produce some drink to go with this meal. A water or milk seems to be best, don't you all think?" Settling back down, D'win continues to write. "I hope that I have not wronged him." Lifting her head, she speaks to Agudo. "So Agudo, what have you been up to? Getting yourself into trouble and other sticky spots?" |
| Agudo Archmage01-04-04, 12:32 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Agudo was sitting on a rock near by, puffing on his corncob pipe. As he was enjoying Silxa fragrant cooking, when D,win asked about his adventures. “ Well D’win my Angelic friend, I have been to many places. Some not so sticky…. but others were a bit dangerous. Recently I was at the Emporium, and had written about traveling around Faerun. He pauses as he thinks about that time, then continues. “It just so happens that Bhryn'o'vyl Astairre apparently was interested in drumming up travel; in her celestial paradise…….. Well to make a long story short, we got into a letter writing campaign, for are favorite place of travel. She convinced me to come visit her when I had the time” He takes a few more puffs of his corncob pipe, giving off a fragrance of apple cinnamon. “I have also had a few battles with the dreaded Drow, it was a trap of some kind. What they had planed for me I have know idea. Yet they were able to knock me out, but when I came too they were dead…. Sanctus, Kulideb and a few others came to my rescue.” Agudo takes a few sniffs of the air. “How the cooking coming Silxa?” |
| eriwoj01-20-04, 03:37 PM | "Well, thank you," Silxa says addressing Agudo and then to D'win, "Your herbs are making the stew quite aromatic along with Agudo's pipe and the fresh clean air of this glade there are enough wonderful smells to make one's head spin." |
| D'win01-23-04, 12:16 PM | "Silxa, the smells of any home cooked meal will make any head spin, but right now they are making me crazy with hunger. Is it almost done, I am so hungry." With that D'win sat back and watched Silxa cook. All could hear the rumbles in her stoamch. Then turning to Agudo, in hopes to take her mind away from the food, she spoke. "Like I said, you were getting yourself into sticky spots, when will you learn that you need someone to go with you and keep you out of harms way. You are almost hopeless." Smiling and shaking her head, she turned her attention back to Silxa. Then digging through her bag, she found a bowl which she could use when all was said and done. |
| Agudo Archmage01-23-04, 02:04 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. I am a married man…” Agudo laughs and turns his attention to Silxa, rubbing his hands together, the wizard leans over and takes a deep breath. “I wonder if your as good at making desert, as you are dinner Silxa?” He says hopefully. |
| D'win01-23-04, 10:29 PM | Laughing at Agudo's reply that he is a married man, D'win speaks her mind. "You?! A married man, when did this juciy bit of story happen. You must tell me, that way I can add it to my book or books. It all depends on the one you married." Continuing to laugh she keeps talking. "There is no way in this plane of exsistance that I would be your bodygaurd, I have myself to look after. I was merly making a suggestion." Then a look of idea come onto D'win already shinning face. "I have a friend who would be perfect for the job. His name is Gerik, you might have heard of him." Then turning to Silxa, she asks, "Is that stew done yet. I am about ready to eat my bag." |
| Let me tell you a Story01-23-04, 11:53 PM | With a stifled laugh of her own, she walks behind Silxa and whispers into her ear. “You would think that Agudo and D’win were married, for the way they carry on.” She then reaches in with a long spoon and takes out a taste for D’win. “Come now lady D’win, will you not have the pleasure; of seeing if this food for a queen, made by none other than Silxa, is ready for your taste buds? |
| eriwoj01-24-04, 05:57 PM | As Emeraldeyes scoops a spoonfull of stew for D'win, Silxa jests, "I thought they were." Silxa takes a spoon from her bag and carefully lifts a taste of the stew to her mouth, but before swallowing it down, she softly blows on it cooling it to an edible temperature. She waits for D'win to taste the spoon offered to her, and then upon tasting it herself, Silxa loudly anounces, "Dinner!" And steps back from the fire half expecting to be crushed and/or knocked into the fire as everyone rushes for the stew pot. |

All he could do was shake his head and smile. “Now I know what’s lits like, to go to a girls slumber party .” He could not help but laugh as he grab a bowl form his magic bag. “As long as I am giving everyone such merriment, then allow me to try a large bowl of your fine soup at least” The mage takes a few sips and winks at the cook. “Your talents should lead you to opening a high class restaurant Silxa” Then after a few more helping, Agudo walks back over to D’win. “Yes my friend I have wed, her name is Aerie, and someday if you drop by at my School; I would be honored to introduce you to each other. But what about this gentlemen bodyguard of yours … Gerik? I may have heard off him, yet I meet so many people…tell me about him maybe it will ring a bell.” |
| eriwoj01-29-04, 10:31 AM | Silxa waits until the all have taken a share before filling her own bowl. She silently sits down by the fire and cools her stew listening to all around her. There is a smile in her heart knowing that even for this fleeting moment all is well. |

| Drindin01-30-04, 06:19 PM | Back in wanders young Krissy, her light blue silken robes seeming to go very well with her semi-transparent blue eyes, which never seem to meet up with anyone elses eyes. She looks around, and sees Agudo, walking towards him. "Hello, Mr. Agudo, sir." She whispers breathily, sitting next to him. She sniffs the soup, and thinks about asking, but doesn't want to sound rude, so refrains from doing so. Aswell, a shadow of a cloud passes over the land, and the ghost of none other than Drindin manifests himself behind Exiled, his black cloaked body hiding his kinder nature. "You seek assistance, m'lady?" He whispers in his cold I'ma-evil-construct voice he had become so famous for at the school. |
| Let me tell you a Story01-30-04, 08:58 PM | Emeraldeyes was just offering a taste of Silxa soup to D’win, when Krissy returned from her wonderings. “I am sure Silxa would be happy enough to share her soup with you Krissy. Why don’t you grab one of the empty bowls and help yourself” Then with a rather dreary appearance the one called Drindin returned as well. Not wishing to offend, she did not offer the ghost food. |
| Gene_Kynes01-30-04, 09:24 PM | Seemingly joining the one-woman, and now one-man trend of standing on the outskirts of the group, the black-cloaked Shadovar slipped through a weakness in the Shadow and Material plane borders, his mantle swirling around him, almost dramatically as he made the quick transition. Remaining where he landed, Gene's tense figure only faintly notices the blue-garbed one, himself seemingly focused on the tall Archmage, clothed in blue, accompanied by the owl. The only thing showing from his almost blanket-like cloak was a hint of gray-silver hair, his face concealed by a black bandit-styled mask, and his elbow...seemingly bent, holding onto something within his cloak. And then, casting a glance to the woman, he smirks, before he springs. Running along the field, he flickers in and out of existance, using a deadly combination of shadowjumping, blinding speed, and hiding in plain sight to reach the group. ...when he finally gets close, with a tiger's speed and a lion's strength, Gene's enruned katana is swung at Agudo, aiming for the man's neck! (( Come now, Agudo. One shows appreciation for their mentor by besting them. You should know that. ;) )) |
| Drindin01-31-04, 01:16 AM | Krissy shrieks in terror at the Katana's swing, clinging onto Agudo. Drindin looks disapprovingly at Gene from where he stands, but says nothing. However, he does think something. Doesn't Gene realize that Krissy has lost enough already and then goes and frightens her by making a mock swing at Agudo's neck? |
| Agudo Archmage01-31-04, 01:29 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley The Archmage of Light was just about to sit down when Krissy gave a loud scream . Looking up he saw a large curved sword coming straight at him. “AHHHHHHHHH” Agudo yelled as he threw up his bowl of soup, eyes bulging with surprise. |
| Gene_Kynes01-31-04, 03:56 PM | And as if he was in the effect of Time Stop, Gene froze, his cursed blade's influence struggling with Agudo's aura, a mere stalemate. "Gods damn you, 'Gudo." His arms go limp, the blade slipping back into his sheath. Even though Agudo had been the closest thing to a paternal figure Gene's recent memory could recollect, the roles seemed to be changed, the Shadow-blooded man crossing his arms. "And you wonder why I constantly have Shadows stalking you, why I chose to guard you in the first place!" Gene then sighs, his shoulders slumping. "Assassin, attacking while you're at least awake...and you throw your soup into the air. I'm not sure if that's a defense mechanism, but you might want to...reconsider your reactions." He then notices Krissy...and his features lighten faintly, but still hold a remote, apathetic edge to them. "Security. Sorry, heh." |
| Drindin01-31-04, 04:44 PM | Krissy simply clings onto Agudo, her shoulders trembling as she sobs in fear. Drindin's ghost drifts over to the scene. "My my, Gene. That wasn't very kind of you, now, was it? You nearly gave my niece a heart attack." He states, pointing at the young girl clinging onto Agudo. "She's lost enough as it is. You don't need to go scaring her by mocking a swing at Agudo, seeing as he's the last living thing that matters to her." |
| D'win02-01-04, 12:05 PM | D'win, who was just about to eat the soup that was given to her, looked up and rolled her eyes. "This is not right, I am hungry and now I am going to have to wait. Oh well." Then standing up she tried to bring order to the table. "PLEASE!! Everyone, sit down!!! This is a gathering of inellagence, not a place to shed blood. Please will you all just sit down and relax. PLEASE!!!!!" Then seeing that her statements might not work, D'win sat back down and started to eat her soup, keeping a close eye on all around her. |
| Agudo Archmage02-02-04, 12:43 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongladyhoot.gif http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Lady Hoot smiles and shakes her head, as she sits on the branch of a tree near by . Agudo on the other hand was more than embraced. “Well um… thank you Gene…..yes well… it nice to see that my bodyguard is on top of things.” He bends down and pats Krissy head. “It ok, I am sure he didn’t mean to scare the…rest of you to death” Then seeing everyone looking at him, he straitens himself up; and brushed the soup stains out of his classic blue and white robes. “Just for the record everyone… I screamed because… Silxa must have put to much Spicy Jalapenos in the soup” And before Silxa can say anything, Agudo grabs another bowl of soup and says… “Its ok Silxa really! No need to say anything, I still like it” He takes a bite soup then looks up at the stars. “Lovely night yes?” As he sways back and forth on the heels of his boots, doing his best to change the subject. |
| eriwoj02-02-04, 09:32 AM | From her seated possition near the fire, Silxa turns her attention to the tumult, lifting her knife ready to throw it, and addressing Gene says, "It be best if you watch yourself young man. Had Agudo not had the power to stop your blow, there would have been more than his blood spilt this day." She drops the knife -- the hunting style knife, she had used for cooking -- to the ground. It lands blade down; the handle sticking up at the ready. "Now, if you don't mind, I would like to put this behind us! There is still plenty of stew to go around. Help, yourselves. Krissy come sit by me." |
| Drindin02-02-04, 09:51 AM | Drindin nods his agreement, fading into nothing. http://www.angelfire.com/moon/fallen_heart/Custom_Smileys/Requests/Cleric Krissy, shoulders still shaking, takes a bowl of soup herself, moving upto the table, and sitting right next to Agudo, wiping some tears away. |
| Exiled_Beauty02-02-04, 09:09 PM | What an interesting, and intrigueing, bunch you people are...*i whisper to myself* *I take a few steps forward and smiling warmly, trying to make my presence known now..* |
| eriwoj02-02-04, 10:07 PM | Just as quickly as Silxa's attention had turned to the would be assasin, her sharp ears pick up the soft sound of half hidden foot steps and a soft whisper. "I heard you before, and I let it go but in light of what has happened, show yourself!", commands Silxa jumping to her feet, whirling to face the direction of the sounds -- knife ready for throwing in one hand and staff firmly gripped in the other. This directs the attention of the assembly to the place where the new commer stands, "State thy name and business!" |
| Exiled_Beauty02-02-04, 11:04 PM | "Me? My name's Exili, and I am not dangerous, never to you hun," I reply, stopping before you all. |
| Exiled_Beauty02-02-04, 11:06 PM | "... and my business? Hmmm... to befriend at least one of you, perahps?" I add quickly, not really wanting to be attacked by blades. |
| eriwoj02-03-04, 02:34 PM | "My appologies, lady," Silxa says lowering her knife and relaxing against her staff, "I meant you no harm. Still one can never be too careful. Come join us round the table so that we may come to know you." The softing of her voice is rather indearing, and though but a moment ago she seemed ready to slay, the new comer can plainly see that, Silxa would have had to overcome a great obstacle to have been able to throw the knife guidedly enough to inflict harm. "You see, Exili," she says, "I become a bit high strung when someone attacks a friend of mine, especially when he or she is at rest and has not provoked the attack. Forgive me for my rashness." "We are but anixious minds in a troubled world and some of us are worse off than others," Silxa smirks. Her soft smile is enough to put the tempest tossed mind as ease, as she guides the young woman to appear before all. |
| Exiled_Beauty02-03-04, 09:37 PM | "Ah, I know how you must feel," I reply, easing my thoughts and leisurely strolling with Silxa towards the gathering. "I am but a simple healer here in this land, so harm is not my profession anyways," I add pleasantly, tucking a few strands of palest blue hair behind one ear. |
| Let me tell you a Story02-04-04, 04:54 PM | “A new guest has arrived or should I say two. Lets us pray that your less flamboyant than Agudo’s friend Gene. At least not scaring young girls anyway.” She walks up to the new folks. “Exili and Gene, A pleasure to meet you, I am Emeraldeyes welcome to my Glade.” |
| Gene_Kynes02-05-04, 06:23 PM | He sighed. Also, his player has the shortest verb-use memory span in existance. I...don't get people. You try to seal an exploit in a friend's weakness...and they convince you of trying to scare a girl. "Hrm. A single testing act seems enough to condemn a man, yet his only crime was to ensure a friend's safety...appearently, something worthy of threats upon my life, mistrustful glances, and He smirks, only faintly, before smiling. "Pleasure to meet you all too. Gene..." Give them a full name to associate with the face. "...Umbra. Former Teacher of Roguery at Agudo's School of Light and Magic, and Agudo's...ah...how shall I state this?" Gene's purple eyes drift to the sky, before flickering to yet another color...one eye red, the other blue, when they settle back to the general group's eye level. "...Friend with a sword, so to speak." He then gives a deep bow to Emeraldeyes. "You carve wounds within my flesh, and write there in salt, m'lady. I'd strike myself down before I'd even dare bring severe harm to Agudo, and I'm dissapointed that a woman who's eyes speak of such intelligence would believe I had intended to scare Krissy. Either way, she learned to dislike me, early. Better now than then, hmm?" |
| eriwoj02-05-04, 08:27 PM | "I still don't like the sound in his voice," whispers Silxa very softly to Exili who is still standing at her side, "He smells a bit odd, too." "I am sorry about my actions earlier, I just don't like people trying to sneak around. And that shadowing thing he did was new to me. I cannot appologize enough for my mistake," Silxa expresses in a more discernible voice. |
| ShadowShinobi02-05-04, 08:42 PM | What seems to be nothing more than a shadow approaches. At closer range, he is better defined as a great, hulking brute with violet-black scales, clad in black armor of leafweave. When you look into his eyes, you find a soulless, yawning abyss that any normal mortal would cringe at. He bears many visible weapons, among them a short, black staff engraved with mystic runes and with a fist-sized chunk of obsidian radiating shadow, a short, curved sword strapped to his leg, ten wicked-looking black knives in a bandoleer slung across his chest, and a long, curved bastard sword hanging on his back. His cloak is like that of a wraith, the deepest, darkest black. He has several scrolls and rods about his person, many of them black.:b: |
| Drindin02-05-04, 09:14 PM | Krissy looks up at Gene worriedly, though again, never meeting eyes with him or any one else. She wairily gets a bowl, serving herself some soup, and sitting at the table next to Agudo. She eats the soup in silence, never looking up, and never looking anyone in the eye. A cloud crosses over the horizon, and Drindin rematerializes in a corner of the clearing, leaning on a tree as he watches his niece, ready to steal the soul of anyone who dares to threaten her. |
| ShadowShinobi02-05-04, 10:27 PM | "Hmmm... My apoligies... I did not introduce myself. I am Sihgneg Knahk." Knahk smiles evilly with his jet-black, 5-inch barbed teeth and flicks out his broad, bladelike claws. "If you wish to inquire about the finer details of my past, humor me.":smirk: |
| Exiled_Beauty02-07-04, 12:34 PM | "First impressions are rather elaborate, most of the time," Exili whispers back to Silxa in a knowing voice. *She turns to the group.* "Well then, it's good to be around people again. For a time I had felt distant," she explains soothingly. *Grasps a clear amulet that hangs around her neck loosly and turns it about with her fingers* |
| Drindin02-07-04, 06:39 PM | Hmms and Exili's 'distant' statement. "Distant? At least you're still with the living." Krissy takes a sip of her soup. |
| Agudo Archmage02-08-04, 12:19 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongladyhoot.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Agudo looks around and sees all the new people that have arrived, making this impromptu picnic, into a party. “Well everyone we have food and drink and pleasant company, why not add a little music as well.” With that he reaches into his magic bag and takes out a flute and harp. Lady Hoot lands near the harp and with an enchanting smile, she begins to play. Agudo taps the flute on his wrist a couple of times, then puts it to his mouth, adding to the melody of music. |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 07:43 PM | http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MM35_gallery/MM35_PG196.jpg "So, how can I be of assistance?" |
| Exiled_Beauty02-08-04, 08:04 PM | *Her brow archs in curiousity* "Assistance? You are looking for work?" Exili asks, sounded a bit interested. |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 08:12 PM | "Yes." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-08-04, 08:18 PM | *She smirks a bit, twining a blue strand of hair about her finger* "Hmm, might you tell me of what you seek for... work?" Exili asks, carefully almost. |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 08:37 PM | "Assassination, overthrowing a government, freeing the oppressed from tyrrany, brewing poison, smithing magic arms, whatever." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-08-04, 09:10 PM | "Ah, frivolous activities," she replies with a gleaming smile. |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 09:12 PM | "Are you hinting that you wish to employ me, ma'am?" |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 09:23 PM | "I think I'll take on a less intimidating form." Sihgneg transforms into a young human male with black hair and olive skin, but he retains his strange eyes |
| Exiled_Beauty02-08-04, 09:42 PM | *She blushes a bit* "Your eyes..." she begins, but trails off. "Ahem... anyways, perhaps I am hinting at employing you. But for now, I'd like to know more about you. And, if you wish, I can provide you with information on myself," says Exili, leaning slightly on a nearby tree. |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 09:49 PM | "Well, I can see I am among friends here, so I guess I will open up about my past. I have been an orphan for as long as I can remember. As a child, I roamed the streets, barely getting by with the meager money I got as a pickpocket. I was once a human, but I became a Green Slaad when I was bitten by a Blue. Later on, I discovered my shadow dragon heritage, and I began to use sorcery to bring myself closer to that heritage." he smiles, perhaps recalling some fond memory. |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 09:58 PM | "Oh, and I would like to learn about you." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-08-04, 10:11 PM | *Exili smiles, her long blue clothes fluttering gently in the warm breeze* "Me? I have a boring past and heritage unlike you, but I will be glad to indulge you..." she speaks, "... basically I am a healer. I've always been human and I hope it stays that way." *She gives a short, sweet chuckle before continuing* "I left home when I was a naive teen, believing that I could heal all the land's pain. Since then I've been wandering, never seeming to fit in anywhere or even be welcome anywhere. Perhaps I only seek companionship, perhaps my dream of healing the world has fizzled out... who knows? But all that is rather dull to you, isn't it?" |
| ShadowShinobi02-08-04, 10:17 PM | "Hm.... A worthy goal. And count yourself lucky that you are without the foul taint of my dark heritage. Good deities shun me even, and so I cannot practice such benign magic as you. No, I am a sorcerer of shadows."He grins and conjures up a completely black rose and hands it to Exili "And I find you not dull in the least." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-08-04, 10:54 PM | *Exili blinks before taking the rose, blushes, and then gently brushes wisps of her hair back.* "You are kind," she says, admiring the flower while glancing up at him. |
| ShadowShinobi02-09-04, 08:16 AM | "You are the only person I have ever dared call friend, Sensei Shobashi aside." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-09-04, 10:09 AM | *Exili looks up, making eye contact with him* "You've only met me," she reminds with a nod, "but it comforts me to finally be welcomed as a friend... of yours." |
| ShadowShinobi02-09-04, 04:41 PM | "I have been rejected everywhere I go. You are the only person in a long time who has actually talked to me, and not call me a demon-warlock and throw stones at me..." You think you see something in his empty eyes, a glimmer of compassion beginning to fill those endless voids |
| eriwoj02-09-04, 04:58 PM | "Here," Silxa offers up a bowl of soup to the new commer, "All, are welcome with me whether I know them well or not. Find a place to sit and we can get back to our original discusion." After putting another piece of wood on the fire, Silxa returns to her original seat and awaits the conversation to pick up. |
| ShadowShinobi02-09-04, 05:02 PM | Sihgneg takes the soup gratefully and sups it quickly "Thank you" |
| Exiled_Beauty02-09-04, 08:06 PM | *She smiles graciously at Sihgneg, hoping to seem caring. Her thoughts wander though. What could be so bad about him to make people disapprove of him?* *Exili then shakes her head* "I would never judge so swiftly," she adds. |
| ShadowShinobi02-09-04, 09:58 PM | "Nor would I turn away someone such as you, Exili. We are kindred spirits." "Anyway, I should not worry you with my troubles." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-09-04, 11:23 PM | *She holds out her hand towards him before speaking* "Remember," she says, "I am a healer. I do not just heal physical wounds. If you wish to say anything, now could never be more perfect." |
| ShadowShinobi02-10-04, 04:50 PM | With a smile on his face, Sihgneg takes her hand "I have a wound of the soul that even you could not heal, Exili. It's not that I doubt your healing skills... it is myself I doubt." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-11-04, 10:17 AM | *Exili looks saddened, her hair blowing in front of her eyes from the breeze.* "You doubt yourself? But why?" she asks softly, then, "Is there nothing I can do?" |
| ShadowShinobi02-11-04, 09:32 PM | "When I was fourteen years of age, I had a mentor, Sensei Shobashi; He was an outlaw like me. Most outlaws get caught. Sensei was no exception. He was hanged. By the time I got there, it was too late. Enraged, I pulled a knife and slew everyone at the execution."Sihgneg's voice wavers "Once I realized what I had done... Everyone was dead." "That is why everyone hates me, and that is why I adventure. To prove to people, the gods, and most of all, to myself that I am above that, that I am not just a bloodthirsty beast who leaves nothing but death and destruction in my wake. Thus far, I am unsucsessful. That is why I doubt myself." Sihgneg looks at the ground in shame |
| Exiled_Beauty02-12-04, 10:20 AM | *Exili draws back a bit, blinking her eyes at him* "But that's over with now, isn't it? Things aren't that way now. Please don't grieve," she replies soothingly, nearing him once more and setting a hand on his shoulder softly. |
| ShadowShinobi02-12-04, 05:56 PM | Sihgneg looks into Exili's eyes and strokes her cheek softly "Exili... it is over. And it gives me renewed hope that you forgive me for my deeds... but I feel bound to atone for my evil." |
| Exiled_Beauty02-12-04, 09:38 PM | *She closes her eyes to his welcoming touch, then smiles* "Yes, but you seem anything but evil," she compliments, opening her clear eyes. |
| Drindin02-12-04, 10:01 PM | Ughs at the blatant show of emotion, his own stoic ways making this go down rather ickingly. "Please. Spare me the tourment of your lovers-looks." He says, flatly and coldly, his voice whispy as the etheral mists. |
| Exiled_Beauty02-12-04, 10:12 PM | *Her eyes widen* "Love?!" she stammers, stepping away. *With disgust at herself and his comments, Exili turns and begins to make leave into the surrounding forest.* "Good day to you all... obviously I've spent too much time here," she calls back, before slipping away within the foliage. |
| Exiled_Beauty02-12-04, 10:14 PM | "Oh and Silxa," she adds, "you've been the kindest, my lady." |
| ShadowShinobi02-13-04, 08:39 AM | Sihgneg murmurs under his breath "Gods, why do you hate me? Why must everyone I befriend be hurt?" Speaking loudly now he says "Well, I should leave, before any of you are hurt" With that, he whistles loudly and a black wyvern, flying wildly and muttering curses in Draconic, lands with a deafening thud; Sihgneg hops on and bids everyone farewell, then flies off into the distance |
| eriwoj02-13-04, 02:02 PM | "Wait Elixi!" shouts Silxa rushing, staff in hand, up to the lass just out of eye or ear shot of the others. "Stay a bit longer, I implore you. I was once much like yourself - lonely wanderer, searching for my identity. Then a great mage took me in as a house keeper - if you will. I never intended to learn from him, and he . . . he never intended to teach me, for we both thought my blindness would be too great a hurdle to leap. Instead he blest me with the gift of thought and tongue. I continued to believe that I had not learned, even after he had left this life for the one beyond. It was not until I met Agudo and D'win that I realized that I had learned and am still learning. But, if you insist on leaving, I cannot hold you longer. I only wish to present you with one of the guardian beasts I aquired so long ago." Silxa raises her voice in a short sweet chant in some little known language. The chant ends in a comanding: "Marsz, marsz!" Silently, a rather small stocky but lively sable brown mare appears out of the mist wearing red leather tack with silver accents. The horse shakes her head rattling the tack, which almost sings in its beauty, and breathing a heavy snort she focuses in and stares steadily at Elixi. "Her name is Dusza; it means life. I know that her tack may not match your gear, but you do not really need it any how. All you need to ride her is a halter and a little confidence. Treat her well, this swift footed creature, and she shall carry you wither you want at a whim. No command is needed to be spoken or too difficult for her if she trusts her master." Apon the gifting of the horse, Silxa appearently vanishes. In reality this glade is well laid out and her minds eye and staff guide her easily. When she has retreated but a few short steps towards the others with the mist silently covering her soft foot steps, she stops and turns an ear to Elixi waiting to discover her decision. |
| Exiled_Beauty02-13-04, 08:46 PM | *Exili hesitates, turning to face Silxa's beautiful gift with a look of intrigue.* "Oh, my lady," she begins, "you are too wonderful. I give my deepest thanks!" *She gently sets a hand on the mare, nearing it cautiously. Then with almost graceful ease, she mounts with what she has and turns toward Silxa before leaving.* "I wish you the best of health and happiness," she calls, soon taking leave to continue on in search of Sihgneg. |
| eriwoj02-14-04, 03:33 PM | "Good-bye! Safe journey! And may luck find you always!" Silxa shouts as the jingle of Dusza's tack fades. Then she mutters a blessing apon the young woman: "Ty wstajesz, kiedy twoj czas." And then she quickly returns to the group will a satisfied smile upon her lips. |
| Gene_Kynes02-15-04, 03:00 PM | Gene had been snickering, ever since Drindin's comment...and Agudo can't help but notice a certain moral change in Gene...he had become much less compassionate... He muttered: "Good thin' th'pity party left. I was 'bout to burst out laughin'. Hell. 'Nyway, what's Drindin doin' in th'Material plane?" |
| Drindin02-15-04, 06:17 PM | Drindin doesn't even look at Gene. "good question. I think it has something to do with my niece..." |
| Agudo Archmage02-16-04, 12:45 AM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongagudo.gif http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongladyhoot.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley As the others leave Lady Hoot and Agudo stop playing their instruments and smile. “Is the party over Emeraldeyes? Agudo stands up and sees Gene in a rather devilish mood. “So my famous bodyguard, what have you been up too? For you seem different since the last time we talked.” |
| Gene_Kynes02-16-04, 03:33 PM | He glanced over to Agudo. "Hmm. Nothing much. Nothing much. I...merely met old friends, ran some errands, and ended up with quite a heavy pocket. Yourself?" Looking back over to Drindin, then to his niece...Gene archs a brow. Quietly moving over to him, Gene murmurs as quietly as he can: "Your niece looks a little sickly. Well...very sickly. What's th'problem wit'er?" |
| eriwoj02-16-04, 04:32 PM | "I, personally, would have liked Elixi to stay. The odd fellow, though, I am glad is gone. He was sucking Elixi into his little trap, but I am not sure what he intended to do to her. Thank you for breaking up the hypnosis. I just hope being as young and uneducated about the world as she is, Elixi doesn't fall for something like that, again. She was lucky that someone was here to prevent evil," Silxa remarks taking her seat, "And, Gene, buck up. You are fouling the air with your mood." |
| Gene_Kynes02-16-04, 07:30 PM | "Odd. I swore I had mistaken that odor for your holier-than-thou arrogance, m'lady. Guess we've different perceptions of stench, no?" Smirking, he loosely crosses his arms, a brief moment of calculation running behind his cool, now ice-blue eyes...and even though it seems slightly concealed as not to be entirely obvious, he seems to be assessing Silxia, from her breathing rate to the way she carries herself, appearently coaxing hints out of the way clothing falls while she sits down. |
| Drindin02-17-04, 03:03 AM | Drindin looks at Gene. "There is nothing technicaly 'wrong' with her at all. She's one-half ghost. Let's leave the other details alone, shall we?" Krissy simply goes on eating her soup, wincing as Drindin speaks harshly, and quite clearly defensively to Gene. Upon finishing her soup, she once again huddles up against Agudo, as though a mild bit chilly. |
| eriwoj02-17-04, 10:23 AM | Silxa turns her face directly at Gene, seemingly glaring right into his eyes. The stark white of her eyes suddenly turns wholly and solidly sky blue, along with an increase in her breathing rate and tensing of her entire body; then they fade back to white, but her attention has not changed. She still is full on Gene's person, listening intently and feeling for the slightest movement, but her breathing returns to its very slow solid state and her body has become somewhat relaxed. Out of nowhere, Silxa suddenly sneezes setting off fireworks all over the glade. Though no one is injured, they all seem a bit suprised, and Silxa's attention on Gene has changed to pure astonishment at what has happend. |
| Drindin02-17-04, 06:24 PM | Drindin merely blinks, but Krissy shrieks in terror, clinging onto Agudo, whimpering. |
| Let me tell you a Story02-17-04, 06:40 PM | Emeraldeyes looks on as the others walk into the glade and beyond. Then hearing Agudo’s voice turns and laughs. “No dear mage we have only begun the fun! As if a prophetic message had been spoken, Silxa lets lose with some magical fireworks. After ducking for cover, she stands and gaps at Silxa for a moment. “Well my surprising friend Silxa, not to sound like a drunken Half-Ling. But did fireworks just come out of your body?” |
| Gene_Kynes02-17-04, 07:10 PM | Gene doesn't seem to receed from his observation, even during the strange sneeze...the illumination casting strange shadows around his being, ones that couldn't possibly be his. They soon dissapear, however, as Gene smirks...and winks at Silxa. "Bless you." His eyes following the stray embers, a smile of sorts and a smirk seem to meld, Gene blowing a few away from his face. |
| eriwoj02-17-04, 09:12 PM | "What on earth did I just do? Fireworks? I never did that before. Hopefully I never do that again," Silxa stammers. Hearing Krissy whimper, she turns to the young girl, "When I was young and could see, my parents once took me to see a show of fireworks. It is my most treasured memory, but that was all before the invasion and wars and suppression. For your sake, I really hope that I will never have that kind of sneeze again." |
| D'win02-18-04, 12:59 PM | D'win the whole time has been writing away and it wasn't until Silxa's sneeze that she brought her head up. "Oh crap, here I missed something agian." Reading through her notes quick, she learns about the happenings in the glen. "Well Gene, I would hope that you would not do anything that would upset myself or my friend here." Waving her hand at Silxa. Then giving him a glare, she looks to the rest of the group. "Silxa, you have never told me about that part of your life, I will have to write it down." Then eating some more of the soup she had, which was now cold, she finishes it off. After cleaning out the bowl, she produces her dagger, from somewhere in the folds of her robe, and begins to play with it, smiling gleefully at the group. |
| eriwoj02-18-04, 02:15 PM | "Come to think of it, I never told anyone that until now. I was only maybe four or five at the time. It was a year later that the wars started and six to eight months after that my parents were killed. It is the last happy memory of my childhood," Silxa adds onto what she had said before in response to D'win, "I guess it really was not ever that important to the reasons why I am the way I am at present." |
| Krissy02-22-04, 03:45 PM | Krissy wanders off, and drindin fades. |
| eriwoj02-29-04, 09:44 PM | "Krissy where are you headed?" Silxa asks hearing the child's foot steps fade off. |
| Krissy03-01-04, 07:35 PM | Krissy gave no reply... |
| eriwoj03-04-04, 10:19 AM | "Well, I think that perhaps we should get back to the original task that we gathered to discuss," Silxa suggests. (OOC if some thing should suddenly happen to my char, let it. This one is going to be way different than fireworks sneezes.) |
| D'win03-07-04, 11:59 PM | "Well, there goes another story. Oh well, this one seems also to be dying. I wonder why that is. Is it because of..." D'win's voice slowly drifts off and as she mubbles to herself, she writes two letters down in her her book "T.R." This appears odd to all the people at the table, but none take notice of it. "I need another drink, and another bowl of soup would taste good. What does everyone think? Hmmmm?" Returning to her book agian, she writes more, only this time full sentences: "And the End will come and all will be lost. Only four will know the way to change it, for better or for worse." No one sees this or the look that comes across D'win's face as she writes it. "What on earth?" She then begins to play with her dagger agian, making tiny holes in the table, hoping it will not offened her host, and contemplating the meaning of her words. |
| Gene_Kynes03-08-04, 01:04 AM | Gene sighs...taking a seat at the table. Boredly, he traces a rune into the air...and within a few moments, a pseudo-existant chessboard shimmers into vision, the pawn pieces instead resembling lightly-armed conscripts...while the "unique" pieces each resemble some of the beasts that wander the Shadowplane. "Honestly. Glare-glarity-glare-glare. You people act like any moment, I'll spaz out, and start stabbing people. If someone doesn't suck up and start loving every single creature of the woodlands...he's labelled evil, and glared at for a while." Shaking his head, he moves one of the centre pawns up two squares...and an unseen player responds. "Have I spilled anyone's blood? Have I outright insulted someone with words, have I tortured anyone you loved and forced you to watch?" Pulling up his Bishop to cover up the gap his pawn left, Gene idly watches his opponent's move. "...If I have without knowing...I'm sorry. But I'm fairly sure I haven't done that to anyone here...so...stop treating me like I have, eh?" Shrugging..Gene seemed only trying to break the silence. |
| eriwoj03-11-04, 02:11 PM | "I still believe that our original mission is the one best suited for our pondering," Silxa insists, "if by grace we still know what that is let us return to it and solve it so that the world may see the power of good once again." |
