| Jear7703-21-07, 02:21 PM | Is there any way of making fighting moves for D&D? I'm especailly interested Magneto's powers from the marvel vs capcom: He can fly (as per spell) Special Moves: E.M. Distruptor - hcf + P Hyper Grav -hcb + K Magnetic Force Field - hcf + K (globe of invulnerability, cast on self) Magnetic Blast - jump, u, uf, f + P (ray of frost, element changed to magnitism) Super Moves: Magnetic Shockwave - qcf + PP Magnetic Tempest - qcf + KK (can be done in air) ("ball lightning spell," element changed to magnitism) Also in the movie, he removes the iron from a guard, killing him messily. Any thoughts on the ones I couldnt' figure out, places where I'm wrong? (Better yet anyone have a magnito character writeup?) |

There's no "magnetism" element, and Magneto can't fire blasts (except in the 90s TV show - the version in X-Men: Evolution is much cooler). Use electricity if you have to. Yes, I have played Marvel vs. Capcom. Marvel is a comics company. Capcom is a games company. Capcom made the game, incorporating Marvel characters. |

See, but what the OP is asking for is Magneto, as seen in the game, so its still relevant. Its like when someone wants to stat Ganondorf. Which game do they want, as each Zelda sported a different yet similar Arch Villian in each. Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time is decidely different than Ganondorf from Windwaker, so you wouldn't stat them in D&D the same way. Same situation here, it is just that Magneto has a broader range of Media appearance. He doesn't want/care about Magneto from the X-Men Comic books, or House of M. He wants the Playable character from MVs.C, who sports abilities that make him decidely different than his comic book counterparts. On topic, I think you best bet would be to stat him as a Warlock, with the Repelling Blast, Fell Flight, *The Eldritch Essence Invocation that gives you lightning damage, and the Invocation that gives you a 20% chance of ranged attacks of not hitting you*, Eldritch Doom, and maybe Horrid Blow. |

| Mindolin06-13-07, 09:37 PM | I'm pretty much going to make him as a Warlock, with a lightning Eldritch Blast essence, and then spend most of the other invocations as blast shapes and then flight. There is no magnetism element, as has already been pointed out, but you can use electricity, I don't know about the forcefield he has, but for the guard, that can just be a fluff description of a single attack that kills the guard. |
