CrimsonDeath 10-08-07, 12:26 AM	What do people mean when the say "hostile to fanatic" in diplomacy maxing threads? "Hostile" is an NPC attitude, the unfriendliest one in the PHB. (It means the guy is actively trying to kill you.) "Fanatic" is an NPC attitude in the Epic Level Handbook, the friendliest attitude published by WotC. (It means the guy would throw away his life on your behalf.) "Hostile to Fanatic" means that your Diplomacy check is good enough to convince someone who is actively trying to kill you to instead fight to the death on your behalf.
