WizO_Pounamu 10-12-03, 06:52 AM	Although the CRT is in the Oerth world from Greyhawk, because it is ISRP all characters that fit into the medieval fantasy genre can be played there. The CRT itself is situated in Ford Keep, about a day's journey south of Greyhawk City I believe, and from where people can travel to and from the realm of Juxtaposition via portals. Juxta (which has the Emporium as one of it's locals) is well known for the theory that there are portals to any world from there although we still prefer that people keep to the fantasy setting, not modern day or futuristic. However if you want to create another tavern based solely on the message boards (The CRT after all is part live chat also) I see no reason why you couldn't run it as a setting, just as you may any other setting on the Map of the Planes. ;) Of course Siani actually oversees this area... no doubt she'll have a comment to make. :D - Pounamu

Quigley) Well now Kulideb I like the thought of an Inn for characters who like to travel around. Where would this Inn be? You know what Realm? Hopefully some place where everyone would have a reason to travel to. For example somewhere near the Jungles of Chult in the town of Refuge Bay or the city of Baldurs gate all that is on Faerun,. Yet since you said an inn that could be played any where, how about just saying its at a (sea port town), with no exact location. The nice thing about that is it offers a fun way for everyone to arrive. Be it by boat with the docks and all its people, from fishing boats and traders to just walking to the new inn by land and all its town people pointing the way. (That creates a little story atmosphere just before you walk into the inn) But its your story Kulideb, so where ever you want it is cool with me.

(and we knew a but was coming) I would hope that its not a (Demiplane), just because that’s like a very powerful way to travel and not all people want their stories on a high level of play. Some want to start low level..... It may be better to keep the location in a general place but not giving it an exact location……..like I said before….a unnamed seaport…or something like it. If the owner is capable of either the Genesis Power or (whatever spell that makes demi-planes) you could only assume that they would also have the ability to make permanent Gate Effects in either the form of a seemingly-mundane door on a rather small building or an actual gate.

Agudo Archmage 10-15-03, 06:28 PM	True Drindin but that makes the place a highpower gamer kind of thing, and gives the Impression that everyone has to use that gate. For example you want to go by horse or boat, the Dimensional gate undermines the whole fun an adventure of getting there. In others words the Gate is like having a whole army standing near by, and you wanting to have a small adventure of fighters against the odds….. the problem is the Gate “army” is already there if you like it or not………… So like I said not all people want to have a story so powerful with spells or gates or diminutions………..Yes some one can start a story with those things…..but at least its not forced on them when they come to the Tavern

Agudo Archmage 10-16-03, 01:43 AM	I like your ideas Drindin and I am sure Kulideb will make up her mind on the whole issue. As far as a mundane door or small building it creates the same problem as before. People feel obligated to include it into the story there doing at the tavern. Do to the fact that they are trying talk with people, who come into the tavern by that way. It also creates need to make “excuses” on why the adventuring group cant use a magical door, to get them to places. But again anyone wanting to arrive like that can with their own power. I am just saying lets not make it part of the tavern. So that every {new-be}or anyone else for that matter; doesn’t feels like that’s the way they need to come in or leave with a high power gaming style.

These were inside the annoying town of Kraehm: "the Daring Goblin" "the Stinky Dragon" "the Lucky Bastard" "the Abused Name" These were inside the city of Reganneam: "Inn of the Last Man Standing" "the Titan's Leg" "Disfortification Hall" These were in and around Fearlessmen's Port "House of High Repute" "Afterwar Hall" "the Road to Yisgard" "the Roasted Mercane" "the Beauty and the Bugbear" "the River and the Reaver" These were on the way from Kraehm to different places, named after teh roads they were on, but renamed after our characters visited them: "the Midway to Lokhlain Gate" renamed to "Guardsbane" "As Long Till Regganneam" renamed to "the Unspeakable Orcfort" "the Fearlessmen's Port to Kraehm resting outpost" renamed to "Taveo's Four Men" "Kraehm's Craze" renamed to "Squire Elekton's Craze" Also, the Cult of the Sewrneoughmix has a tavern or clubhouse within every religeous fortress.
