The morning sun peeks over the foot hills and shines its golden light upon a great tree with a short man infront of it. A very old gnome in fact, not a man, walks up to his Inn in the tree and looks at his sons fine work. It took those 6 gnomes months to hollow out that tree and now it is all done. The old man walks up towards the gargantuan door and with his feeble looking hand he pushes in and to his suprise it opens with relative ease.
The inside of the Inn is like any other but the passages go deep within the gigantic branches of the tree. The magic of the gnome can be seen everywhere in the bar area where the glasses and dishes are cleaning themselves and the daily bread cooking independently. The gnome walks in and turns to the window and turns the sign from "C L O S E D" to "OPEN: To many a weary traveler"

(( This is just like any other Inn same stuff happens but with people comming and going alot. ))

A Wizard can be seen off in the distance, smiling as he walked along the twisting road.
He was wearing the traditional garb, of his spell casting kind.
A long robe and cape, with a pointy hat, on top of his lush long blond hair.
The colors of his wardrobe, were like the sky above, on this sunny day.
Blue and white swirls of dazzling design.
In his hand of this classic mage of yore, tapping along the dirt road as he went; was an enchanted staff, with a brightly blue gym at its top.
On his shoulder could be seen, a lovely snow owl that seem to be talking to him, as they made their way to this Inn of Tree lovers everywhere.

Stopping but only a few dozen yards away, he razed his blond bushy eyebrows.
“Well my wise friend, shall we stay for a time, to quench are thirst?”

The white owl nodded her head happily.
“It would be a pleasure to see this Tree house, from the inside don’t you think?”

With that they walked up to the large door that open as if by magic for them.
Taking off his pointy hat, as he entered inside, they looked about.

The music of a harp can be heard as the mage steps thru the door. TAP TAP TAP Was the noise that Brittzle's staff made as he walked over to the man and said," Hi there young fella, since your my first visitor your first drink is on the house." Brittzle turned back and looked at the bar and with the wink of his eye a glass and an elixir floated over to a table infront of the mage. "Here ya go young man this is for you. If ya be needin anything else jus call for me, these old ears should hear ya." Brittzle also left a magic perch for the owl of his first custumer to sit upon.

Lady Hoot flapped her wings and gently landed on the new perch.
“Thank you kind Innkeeper. I am Lady Hoot and my tall companion is Agudo.
We are both followers of the Light. We have traveled far and wide, to spread Light into the darkest corners of the Realms.”

Taking a seat near the wise white owl, Agudo smiled warmly at the little man.
“Thank you my good Gnome for your hospitality, and may I say your establishment is very enchanting”

Taking a sip of the offered refreshment, the Wizard continued his conversation.
“What is your honorable name, if we may ask as well?”

"Whaa huh. Did your owl just speak? My my how interesting. Yes, you are welcome noble Lady Hoot and Agudo. My name is Brittzle and this here is my brand new establishment, I added the enchanments yesterday, not bad if I do say maself. If ya don't mind me askin, what brings ya here Agudo?" Old Brittzle walks over to a circular tray on the bar and gets up on his tip toes and picks it up and puts it at his feet and steps onto it. The tray levitates untill he is at Agudo's height.

Finishing off his drink, the blond hair Wizard leans back and looks at the now levitating Gnome in the eye.
“ I am glad you ask, for not only do we travel the Realms, spreading the Light, to all who want to see.

Agudo takes out a large leather bound book, from the many folds in his robe.
Its reads on the cover (Agudo Travel guide to the Realms part 4)
“But I am a writer as well, and as you can see by the title of book.
That I like to investigate, and write about Inns such as this.”

Lady Hoot nods her head.
“Many people seem surprised that owls can speak.
But in a place like this, it can’t be that surprising.”

She turns her feathery head, to see all the magic being used, to make drinks and food.

“It refreshing to come to a place like this that is Wizard friendly.
Magic is used openly and even encouraged.
Some place like the lands of Amn, will arrest you for the slightest unlicensed use of magic.”

The blue and white robe mage, frowns at the mention of such bigotry.
“Yes its true I am afraid, not all welcome the wisdom and culture that a practioner of the Arts can offer.
Never the less Brittzle, what land do I find myself on? Are we still on Faerun?
If so what part?”

The sense of magics and enchantments disturbed Hazeon Tamar's meditation. The wizard opened one hazel eye and peered about. He sat alone on a prayer rug amidst folded ridges of sand and shale as yellow as amber. His horse, caparisoned with an embossed saddle of red dark leather and many small silver bells, tossed its head and snorted. The mage had faced south for his trance, for he beleived all good things came from the south, including blessings.
Clambering to his creaky knees, shedding sand, Hazezon caught the reins before his horse bolted. "Where you off to Belladonna?" Hazezon spoke to his horse for company, for he was normally a gregarious man, and like all mages, both curious and superstitious. Swinging astride his ornate saddle he continued,"Let us leave the spirits to their own devices and see what magic lies ahead. One should never ignore a nudge from the unknown."
Belladonna was a dray gelding that, like its master, was no longer fast, but even tempered and capable, and able to haul extra weight. Hazeon was a man of middling girth and advanced years. His last wife had cursed him as a "fat-bottomed potion peddler." His skin was as dark as tanned leather and was covered with a white beard and mustache. Hazezon wore a traditional garb of his city, a loose robe of pale brown deftly embroided, a keffiyeh or head scarf of white as a befit ruler, and a multicaped cloak of amber stitched with gold thread. A brass hilted scimitar was shoved through his sash, a trapping of office. Hazezon hadnt struck anything with a sword for almost two decades. His weapon was his mind.
He now approched his destination, a large tree shaped into an Inn. Hazezon marveled at the craft, now tieing off Belladona to a stump nearby. Now he opened the door to the Inn awaiting what lie inside.

"Yes I suppose you are right, a talking owl isn't the strangest thing I have ever seen in my day. Oh yes, terrible places are those which shun magic and the ones who harness it. I have seen in my adventures, a place like this and it wasn't a very welcoming place." As he shakes his head. "To tell you ... OOOPS. I believe I have a weary traveler come to see me. Excuse me I will be back in a moment, please have something to eat." Brittzle turns and looks at the oven and the door pops open and piping hot bread finds its way onto a plate infront of Agudo along with assorted jellies.

"Oh ho ho traveller((piper)), please come in and sit down, I have a table just for you my friend." Brittzle has a table from the other side of the room float over with a chair and sit beside the new customer. "The drinks will be here in a moment. Untill then what is your name traveler? I am Brittzle the owner of this here fine establishment."

As Hazezon sat he took off his keffiyeh to wipe his brow,"I am called by many names. Citizens call me governor, old seers call me Haz, and my ex wife Adira Strongheart calls me a "fat bottom potion peddler." But you can call me Hazezon Tamar, ruler of the city Bryce." Hazezon felt to tired for introductions, but he was a fare man and had a reputation to keep. Especially if you were the ruler of Bryce. He still continued, I am no traveler, I come out to this location whenever I can to trade news with desert druids, and meditate. It just happens that my trusty steed Beladonna, and I stumbled upon your foundation and came to investigate."

Oh, well investigate all you like my home is your home. This is a place of magic and fancy. Does your horse talks like this mans owl?

Brittzle jumps down from his floating disc and retrieves a small golem, about the size of his head. It begins to clean a small spill from his bar and then takes Hazeon's order.

Hazezon couldn't help but laugh at the gnome's statement," Last time I checked ole Belladonna hadn't said a word. Who could cast such an enchantment?" Hazezon shouldn't of spoke to soon, for he remembered now what had disturbed his meditation. Hazezon now turned to the gnome," A talking owl you say, please tell me more about this enchanted owl?"

Hazezon now sad eagerly, like all mages Hazezon Tamar had a thirst for knowledge.

I myself can enchant your horse to speak but, not permanently. The only one so far I have seen is a man named... Oh memory don't fail me now... Akuie... Shamoie... Abuda... Ahh yes Agudo!

Old Brittzle snaps his fingers in excitement and many joyous magical effects follow his dance of victory of old hip shaking an finger pointing.

Agudo the Archmage of Light he was here just before you got here I wonder where he went. He had a beautiful talking owl with him ... Hoot I'll never forget that name.

Hazezon gave a grin

For he was glad for the gnomes antics. Many of times Hazezon himself had trouble with names and faces, and sure as well as he did remember he too felt like snapping a finger and doing a jig.

Now fixing his keffiyeh back into place Hazezon says

"Agudo the Archmage of Light and.......Hoot? Sounds like the man has given himself quite a title."

Hazezon seems to be lost in thought

"If he and his owl friend have been through Byrce... I would have known it. Can you tell me more about this Agudo?"

Lady Hoot whispers in Agudo ear.
“I believe the proprietor is talking about us, with his new guest.”

Seeing Brittzle call out his name, as the Gnome does a happy jig.
The blond hair mage smiles, as he cant help but think of one of his students.
Lucky Leprechaun and his wiled antics.

The Archmage of Light stands from his table and picks up his drink.
His enchanted staff floats along behind him, as Lady Hoot flaps her white wings, and lands on Agudo shoulder.
“Well then since we are life of the party for them.
Lets us at least given them something to talk about, by joining them.”

He boldly walks over to the other side of magical tavern with Lady Hoot and staff in tow.
“May the Light welcome us all this day, in joyful conversation.

He says to the Gnome and Hazezon.
“I see you are the second guest to walk within these new walls.
And if my ears do not fail me, I believe the good Gnome Brittzle has already shared my name, and my companion with you.”

Agudo points to Lady hoot on his shoulder.
“May we join you wayward traveler?
And perhaps share in your name as well.

Khaira

07-08-04, 03:50 AM
Khaira Amastacia, the famed bardess extraordinnaire is walking down the road, on new adventure, when she sees the tavern in the close distance. She considered stopping and resting, since it would be dark soon...
"No...I better not. I have a lot of space to travel yet, and I'd like to gain as much distance as possible."
She continues walking, and is almost past the tavern/inn, when she hears music start! Stopping suddenly, she turns around, grinning like only a mischevious bard such as she can, and eyes the tavern.
"On second thought...that bard sounds like he or she can stand to learn a thing or two about performing. A bardic contest tonight!"
Khaira digs the harp out from her instrument case at the back, and begins to walk towards the tavern. As she gets close to the entrance, she begins playing a interesting, happy tune that only the angels on high could play better. As she comes through the door, she is dancing, skipping, and in general, having a good time. The blue, red, and green of her performing outfit swirls and glides so quickly that soon it is just a myriad of colors. She stops at the end of her tune, and bows to whomever would happen to be listening.
"I heard the music from afar, and though that this place could do with some real music. None save the angels in heaven above can match my playing ability! Just ask Agudo and Hoot!"
She grins a dazzling, white smile as she says this, as if it were known fact that her music was the best...and to her, it very well is!

Brittzle the innkeeper was displaying his acrobatic skills with happy tune.
When suddenly a familiar minstrel of the wizard past, burst through the door.
It was none other than Khaira and her angelic voice.

Agudo winks at the Bard
“Ask me you say! Hardly need Khaira for you reputation I am sure has traveled far and wide. Even to this enchanted are of the Realm. Never the less everyone, this red headed Bard, is Khaira Amastacia!

Ahh Yay! Welcome Khaira beautiful bardess. Ay I would love to have one such as yourself play here tonight but first here have a drink before you play. Unfortunately I have never been to such a place and have never been graced by your name before now.

In its normal fashion a cup and a flask start making their way to Khaira but before they get there Brittzle grabs the glass, looking back at Khaira over his shoulder a small bit of light seems to come from his hand and then he lets the glass continue on its path. When Khaira gets the glass she notices her face is inscribed into the bottom of the glass.

And I have a stage if you wish to preform on it, my bar golem loves to dance and so do my sons. They will be here later though, but until then please enjoy yourself thoroughly.
Hazezon Tamar

07-08-04, 10:51 PM
At the entrance of the bard and all the musical playing, Hazezon thought of his city Bryce. Never a dull moment and the seaport marketplace. Always booming with joy, laughter, and music. On mornings Hazezon would travel to the marketplace to be breifed about how business was going, and to see through the next ship that harbored goods to Bryce.

Now Hazezon stood to greet Agudo the Archmage of Light," Yes, old man Brittze has told me much about you and your companion. Please sit so I may share my name as well with you. And that I may enjoy your company."

Turning back to the traveler (Hazezon Tamar) Agudo gave a polite half bow and a warm smile.
“Why thank you kind sir.”

Sitting down with the others the Light Wizard lifts his goblet in an honorable salute.
“To new friends and old! Let this be a festive time indeed!”

Taking a long drink Agudo put his goblet down.
“Come Khaira you must be tiered from you long walk, join us. And tell us of your many travels my Bardic friend.”

Hazezon Tamar

07-09-04, 02:39 PM
For a moment Hazezon stared at the owl. He was still curious of how a such an enchantment could last so long. " Oh yes, my name is Hazezon Tamar ruler of the seaport city Bryce." Although Hazezon's official title was Tetrarch of the Free Realm Bryce, but he went by many including governor, lord paramount, suzerain, and the old- fashioned pasha.

Hazezon switched subjects," I am sorry for my curiousity but.... how do you stay enchanted for such a long period of time? Not even Johan could cast such a spell."

If you listened closely you could hear Hazezon grind his teeth when he said that name."Johan! May a hundred wevils infest your hair!" Hazezon still continued,"In my younger days I could have matched Johan spell for spell!"
Khaira

07-09-04, 09:46 PM
Khaira bows to the three sitting at the table now, at their request that she regale them with her bardess stories. She takes the glass - now with her likeness inscribed in the cup - and, taking a drink of it, she moves over to the table, bowing again, before sitting.
"As you wish, my lords! A long journey I have had, indeed, a long trek through many strange lands. I travelled for many weeks, and in one of my visits I met an old ... rival."

She pauses at this, turning and winking to Agudo. She knew that her Archmage friend would know who she was talking about...
"He is a bard, a performer, as am I, though of sleightly different sorts...He favors the hard brandy, and I, the sweet, elven wine. In front of a cathedral, we ended performing, and a sleight miswording in a spell by my rival turned the king's elegant, rich clothes into pink polka-dotted boxer shorts...while my rival escaped through the angry masses, I fought off the guards and finally escaped. I suppose it didn't help when he started laughing.
In another land, I became a rather wanted bardess, when I sang one of my famous ballads about Bumbling Simharas and his Brigade of Buffoons. Little did I know, Simharas himself was in the crowd listening to my song!
I strode through the deep, dark dwarven halls, and we exchanged gifts. While they give me the fruits of rock, stone, and earth, I gave them gifts of music and dance and the elven heritage.
I provided music for the massive halls of dragons, and sang my way through tavern and hall. I even escaped from the clutches of even storm giants by serenading them with my beautiful music! While they were reminiscing over the music as only a bumbling giant can, I made off with their money - and their belts!
Yes, my travels have taken me far and wide, wide and far, into the clutches of enemies great and allies true. I do not believe that I am done, however, for the road is my life, as I am its. One cannot survive without the other. Perhaps, someday, I shall meet my match, and I yearn to find the one who is my better in music and performing!"

Lady Hoot understood Hazezon Tamar curiosity, about the ability to hold conversations.
For he was not the first to ask about it.
“I am so glad you have asked Lord Tamar, for many have wanted to know, how my familiar “Agudo” holds his magical abilities of dialogue so long.”

She paused at the blank looks from the others at the table, then as everyone began to catch to pun.

The Wise white owl chuckled as well.
“That joke cracks them up at the Wizard convention; every year since 704, the year of the talking animal.
To be honest I am a intellectual being or like yourself, my race is self aware.”

Smoking on his corncob inhaling the rich smell of apple cinnamon.
The Archmage of Light lifted his pipe in understanding at Khaira jest.
He wouldn’t ask about Volo for he was sure that reminding the Bard of their volatile relationship.
Would bring on less than a festive response.

Khaira smiles her infamous, mischevious dazzling smile as she picks up her harp and begins to play a few practice notes. She then bows to the old gnome, her voice resonating its musical quality as she concedes to Brittzle.
"Aye, a daring wager you offer, my musical companion! Let us sing, dance, and play the night away! May charming lands from miles and miles away be drawn by yours and mine enchanted tunes, sirrah!
Perhaps, we shall start with a ho-down, to break the ice! Being the honored guest, allow me to start! Perhaps, afterwards, I shall share with you all a new song, of a Lich King, a Lich Queen, and the brave company that fought to bring them down!"

The bardess closes her eyes, humming the note as she begins to play, rather effortlessly. The music is slow, relaxed as she starts out.
"I played through the country, I played for the bars, I played for the men of marriage, I played for the men of bliss, I e'en played for the king and all of the king's men, just like this!"
She begins to twirl and dance around, her blue, green, and red tails of her gypsy-type dress creating a myriad of colors that seem mesmerizing to the eye. And, as she dances the music of the harp picks up faster and faster, until there seems to be no individual notes, but rather, a blended sound. When she finishes, the bardess is crouched, and bowing, a wild look in her eyes.
"But the best place to play in, is in a place that many called home, with a wizened, little gnome!"
She bows then to Brittzle, urging him to add to the song, winking, and sleightly out of breath.

The Archmage off Light was slowly puffing on his corncob pipe. When he heard the voice of the good innkeeper.
“Whats this? A thief! Or just a desperate beggar perhaps?”

Lady Hoot looks on with concern.

Malik walks out of the bar, angered that one of his friends would be accused of such.

'I'm a half-demon and the little gnome didn't bother me'

Neek watches Malik leave and turns to the gnome."I will stay as long as I want....or will you be my next little toy?"He smiles a somewhat evil smile.

As Khaira turns around to face Neek the Necromancer, her twin blades suddenly came to bear, quicker than the flash of an eye. Oddly enough, her eyes take on a red, flashing tint.
"You shall not harm man nor beast nor gnome in this place, defiler of life, lest you bring the firery wrath of all here upon your soul!"
The bardess' calm, pleasant voice is no longer calm nor pleasant ... it is savage and vicious, and death-promising.

the cleric known as jask runs down and stands by the gnome

"Good gnome I took a potion and came down as fast as I could when I heard the word necromancer, you saying no , and a threat. You might think it silly of me to come aid one as wise and powerful as you but most people will not have my company when they know what has happened to me and the enemies I have."
Khaira

07-26-04, 12:31 AM
"...but most people will not have my company when they know what has happened to me and the enemies I have."
Khaira allowed a half-smile to sneak its way across her expression, now seeming to be grimly set in stone, a venomous fury her only action towards the self-proclaimed necromancer. How like this cleric has she once been, and perhaps still once, proclaiming her multitude of enemies, and that she, with all of her past actions, was not worthy of friendship...Inclining her head ever so sleightly as to regard the young cleric, Khaira smiles, and even dares to wink at him.
"Brave young sir, I think that you shall find that many seem to share the same story as yours. But fear not ... I cannot speak for all of those gathered here, but I shall speak for myself ... I am not one to judge, for apperances can be deceiving, as they say.
And, as a wise king once proclaimed to me, "Fear not for the past, nor for the future, but instead, let the joys of a present moment be your redeeming factor. True friend, those acquired blessings from a heavenly being from above, do not just accept that good, they accept the good, and the bad together, for it is the trials - both failed and not - that make the person.' Neither shall we judge you, sir."

The bardess, still holding her blades in preparation for the defiler of life, this abomination of all that was good and true, turns to the necromancer, a deadly fire seeming to leap from her eyes into her words, words composed of fury and retribution.
"Watch what you say within these walls, dark one. These people here are not simple-minded, imprisoned individuals that you bend to your will and beckon to the dark side of your actions, but rather, free minds who do not take kindly to idle threats. You can either take your drink and eat your fill and be, at the very least, neutral in your actions, or you can do the opposite, and attempt to spread the chaos, only to find yourself standing alone, with all of these goodly people against you. The choice is one that I leave up to you."
With that, the bardess turns, her blades returning to their customary sheaths, a smile once again gracing her lips as she faces the gnome.
"It appears we suffered an interruption to our performance, dear comrade of the finer arts. Where were we?"

Brittzle eyes were not like before, but colder and harder. He seems to be restraining some pent up feeling but just as quickly as this gaze had come it leaves

We were at the part where I sit down for a break... too much excitement for my old heart.

He tosses a glazed over look at the few customers he had and then made himself a drink.

"My friend ... does something pain your heart so? Sitting down so early? That's not very like the old gnome that I know, with heart of a young lion!"

Khaira smiles as the takes her seat again, taking a sip out of her glass of wine.
"No thought of concern for a friend is too unimportant nor deep for my ears. Nonetheless, I shall not push you to reveal the matters of your heart. Yet, take heart in knowing that friends sit close by for your, wise gnome."
Khaira smiles, taking a breath of the fresh, exhilerating air of the tavern, so full of the scintilating aroma of excitement still lingering in the air as she relaxes, and begins humming some new ballad of heroes that she has been composing for some time...

The cleric known as jask walks out of the bar closing the door behind him never to be heard of or seen again
Khaira

08-01-04, 06:42 PM
Khaira stands up, still playing her tune,a tune of peace and tranquility as she walks up to the stage, her head bowed as she concentrates of the tune. Soon, her melodic voice, akin to the voice of angels, reaches out to every ear in the tavern, her voice seeming to carry even out the door...

"Many years ago, in a distant country,a country sprinkled with rolling plains,
a country sprinkled with lush forests, a county with soaring mountains;
all was peaceful and tranquil, people just living out their day-to-day lives.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Her tune then seems to take on a sad, depressing note, a note reminiscient of death and dying...
"One day, darkness rolled in, a great impentrable darkness the likes of which none had ever seen.
And out of the darkness, a great evil formed, rolling out destruction to all.
The King and Queen of Death, famed Liches they were.
Come to wreak domination over the peace-loving people of the land.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Peace rolled into war, as many people were slain to form the Army of Death,
People slain to be broght to Unlife, a fate worse than death.
An army was formed, an army of horrid nightmarish abominations.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Her tune then seems to rise in a climax as a hopeful tune pervades the depressing one, and her voice, too, rises to a loud volume, seeming to shed light throughout the tavern.
"Until one day, a man came, a man bearing light and vengeance in his hands,
For another lost to the clutches of death, her soul held by evil forces.
Come to join him were a multitude of goodly people:
a lost, teenager elf, seeking peace in the world,
an overconfident thief, condemned by pride,
a fallen angel come to wreak justice in the form of taunts, against the thief,
a transformed dragon, long time friend of all,
and, soaring through the skies on a giant beast of a bird, one adventurous bardess with a dark past.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Fighting for their lives, and the good of the countryside,
Doomed to die under overwhelming odds.
One man, offering a hand to the light-bearing one,
Only to betray him on a flying ship.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were."

The tune seems to jump to a sad hopeless tune once again, as she continues to sing.
"The cause seemed lost as they ran to the Tower of Darkness,
to confront, as last, the conspirators of evil, the King and the Queen.
The lost teenage elf sacrificed her life in battle with the King of Liches,
As the Bardess and He fought, sparks flying, for the battle of another.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

The one bearing light and his lost companion, ressurected by love and divine efforts,
Battled the Lich Queen, wreakign vengeance for the lost county.
All the while the forces of unlife kept coming,
Splitting everyone apart, as the Bardess and the King continued their duel...

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Finally, at long last, the battle with the Queen was won,
All seemed as it would prove to be a close victory.
Running down the tower, screaming for the bardess to follow.
Yet the battle continued as the skilled bardess foiled the King's attacks,
While she screamed for them to get out, 'fore all came down...

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Finally, the killign blow was struck against the King,
But not before he, too, got of a strike.
Struck a mortal blow, the Bardess sank against the wall,
Doomed to die under the crumbling stone.
Yet the calls from friends too determined to give her up so easily,
Rose her spirits, and with a final gusto, out the window she leaped,
Leaving her blessed harp behind as she flew,
The wind whipping her hair past her as she sailed for the ground...

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands.
Come to battle the darkness, they were.

Caught by her Roc, the bardess soared down to her friends, limply falling to the ground,
Mortally wounded from the extensive duel. The day, it seemed was won.
And as the bardess was escorted to the town for healing,
A final tune was carried by the winds, followed by a final clash of steel.

Come to battle the darkness, they were. Fighting for the life of another.
Sacrifices made, service wrought out of love. Companions overwhelmed by
darkness, holding the power of light in their hands."

“Bravo!” Lady Hoot yells, as Agudo claps his hands.
“Brings back old times of adventures gone by.”

Agudo lifts a full goblet in toast to Khaira.
“A wonderful tune from a most elegant Bardess.”

Turning to the Gnome Innkeeper Lady Hoot smiles.
“If you have more talented Bards like her in your establishment. Your Inn will soon be flowing with customers! Don’t you think?”
Khaira

08-01-04, 09:44 PM
Khaira bows low to Agudo, smile the bedeviled, dazzling smile that the bardess is infamous for striking men speechless with. Her eyes sparkle mischeviously as she next speaks.
"Why thank you Agudo and Hoot; but I must say, all credit does not go to me! Yes, there is another person who has contributed in the past, and continues to conribute, to my many songs and ballads! Agudo, if you hadn't been on that distant hilltop battling those blasted, chilly undead, I never would have met you, and I never would have had the many adventures with you that we have had!
And Lady Hoot...I must say, your seemingly infinite wisdom, advice, and knowledge is superior to us all...it has been an equal pleasure travellign with you as well.
So, I must extend my eternal gratitude to the both of you, for being such an endless supplier of content for my songs...as well as humour!"

Brittzle eyes seem awakened new by Khaira tale and he sits up straight eyeballing those within his tavern. He stands and while speaking to everyone in the tavern he gathers multiple belongings from various closets.

I am sorry good people and one not so good person, but I must be going for a while. There are many things I must contemplate and this tavern is just too much to handle at this point in time.

Brittzle, now standing at the door has tears welling in his wrinkled eyes but as soon as they are seen he pulls down an odd pair of goggles and pushes the giant door open and waves everyone out. Brittzle walks with ease even though it appears that his back pack is at least his own weight. He stands in the clearing infront of his inn and waits for everyone to exit
