| Obsidian12-05-04, 10:01 PM | This OOC thread is for the setup of the next Srilv'e Cress war. House members are all encouraged and expected to partisipate, most of which I think I've already spoken to about this war. This thread is also for those who have some ties with Sril've Cress, or one of its members, and wish to partisipate in the war. There must be some logical reason why you would be involved in a war that takes place mainly in the Sril've Cress compound. There is also room for those who wish to take part in the evil side, well....maybe the greater evil side?...but once again, there must be a logical reason your character is there. If you wish to partisipate, contact me either through PM or via email at redman_joshua@yahoo.com and give me a good explanation of what part you wish to play in this war, as well as what your character, lvl, etc. Once again, I must stress that we need there to be a logical reason for you to be involved, as this war does take place, at least in part, in the compound of Sril've Cress itself. Sevanar Dirasol, Ilharn d' Sril've Cress PS> It has come to my attention that not everyone knows who and what Sril've Cress is. Sure....knock my ego down a few notches XD anyway, Sril've Cress is a house of drow gathered together mainly on the ISRP chats, but we hold wars and such here to give everyone a chance to interact with one another regardless of what time they can log in. Regardless, this war will be taking place in the underdark of a plane known as Irideth...that should help some of you with the logic for being part of this war. |
| Irilym12-13-04, 08:11 PM | This will also be the OOC thread for the upcoming war which should be posted soon so if you have any questions or the like, post them here and one of us will address them. :) Above all else, everyone have fun and play nice...well, as nice as a drow can play  |
| Irilym12-17-04, 07:14 AM | We are ready to go. If you can't find the War Thread for some reason, here's a link: Incursio de Malificus (Sril've Cress War II) (http://boards.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=5069742#post5069742) |
| Chelyrra_Eredyn12-30-04, 09:59 AM | :fight!: |
| turalisj12-30-04, 05:25 PM | >) a drow sorc with 1 behemoth and 2 eviscators......... :evillaugh |
| Chelyrra_Eredyn03-02-05, 07:05 AM | Clarification needed? Most of these characters are in play in the ISRP rooms currently. I had assumed this war takes place in their "future" and when it's done (however many months of posting that takes  ) then they'll show up in the tavern as of a given day talking about recovering from it as if it had happened over that past weekend or something. But someone else says, no, it's already happened and is in the past as far as ISRP is concerned. Which is it? |
| Tharivious_Meliamne03-02-05, 07:34 AM | Eh, too lazy to change accounts to one of my Sril've Cress names... :P My understanding is that the thread will take place in the future, and be acknowledged once complete, which was the official stance last I was told. May not be accurate now, but last I knew it was. :thinks: This is mainly to avoid a repeat of events surrounding a thread last year that sputtered out due to sidelining multiple characters from chat-use and was ended prematurely as a result, I believe. It was a shame the way that one ended too, was a fun plot. As for the pace... it ought to pick up at least a bit shortly, once the first phase of the plot is carried out. ...I hope. :P |
| Lord Tarran03-08-05, 07:07 PM | Is there anyway for me to get in on this thread? I have a character, a great wyrm shadow dragon pretending to be a drow, that I would like to play. Is that possible, or no? |
| Obsidian03-08-05, 10:53 PM | Tarran- There is some information that I need to go over with you, as well as a bunch of questions that I would like to ask you and then likely discuss things with you further. Would probably be easier to do this through email, or on IM, but to start, drop me an email Don't get overly excited, this is not giving you permission to start posting on the thread now, but I'm not blatently telling you NO! either. Email me and we can start talking about things. |
| Irilym04-20-05, 03:45 AM | Righty, things have been slow lately, but some changes have been enacted, thanks to our very dear Ilharn, which are helping. Honest! What we need now is for everyone involved on this thread to pull together and finish any current conversations, happenings, and the House's final preparations. Once that's done, then the fun begins! :fight!: |
| Mekshal Ojaresk05-27-05, 03:12 AM | :bump: Just thought I'd make a note for those involved in the main thread: For those that haven't guessed as much just yet, consider the Dretch/Jovoc/Babau swarms to be NPCs of free use. You all know your characters' limits, and these are not particularly powerful fiends, and the more you do with them, the less weight will be resting on me :P (And the more evil I can do and havoc I can bring, etc... :P). If any specifications on any of the demons used now or later on are needed or desired, PM me (or IM for those who have my contact info) and I will get what relevant information I can to you as soon as I can manage. Not all of them will be from common sources, so it is likely that some will be unfamiliar. ;) That is all :) ... for now... :schemes: |
| House Or'lathi05-29-05, 02:52 AM | Similarily to Mekshel's armies, the lesser demons are NPCs to use. If you're going to attack them, feel free to resolve your action in your post, but if you're attacking a greater fiend (the mariliths or glabrezu) or the Communes (the drow leading the demons) please only declare your actions. :) Also, the shur are pretty much like the lesser demons, although they vary in skill level moreso than the demons and thus will more than likely prove more of a challenge then simply killing them in one fell swoop. ;) If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or PM Mekshal or Myself. |
| House Or'lathi05-31-05, 05:48 AM | Rym and anyone else with knowledge of demons would note that the nalfeshnee is larger than normal. For anyone near the temple grounds, the vrock circles are doing a dance of ruin. It takes three rounds by DnD standards to complete the chant at which time a devestating blast of abyssal energy will be unleashed from the dancing vrocks. Of course, whether that happens or not will be determined in the posts to come ;) |
| Arshes06-05-05, 12:55 AM | is there still room for a late comer? or would i have to wait for a new thread to open? |
| Chelyrra_Eredyn06-05-05, 05:17 AM | is there still room for a late comer? or would i have to wait for a new thread to open? Hi there! I'm not running things but if you check the first post, you'll see that you should send an e-mail or PM to Obsidian/Sev'anar. Probably the e-mail would get through soonest. Then you and he can discuss your char and see where it might best fit in, if possible. |
| Obsidian06-05-05, 07:07 PM | Arshes> As Chelyrra has mentioned, I would need to speak with you before saying yes or no to letting you into the war. We would need to iron out some details and such, so if you would like to still join...message me here on site with a PM and let me know what character concept you would want to play, what reasoning your character would have for being in a war that is mainly Sril've Cress members, and things of the like. If you need to contact me directly, email me at coltrane_john@hotmail.com and I will recieve it there also. |
| House Or'lathi06-06-05, 12:18 AM | Cor'valis: The spell the demon cast at Cor was feeblemind, which will basically reduce him to the intellect of a lizard if successful (reduces Intellegence and Charisma to 1 in DnD terms). The victim remains aware of who is their friend and who is there enemy and can even protect their friends, but they're unable to cast spells, understand languages, or communicate coherantly (and, again, in DnD game terms they can't use any type of skills that are based on Intelligence or Charisma). |
| corvalis06-15-05, 06:10 PM | His banshee wail is a fear based spell....designed to instill fear in his enemies. Basically, it would create the need for a will save (DC 27) for all non Sril've Cress and its allies, vs fear....similar to the effect of Dragonfear. |
| Dark Chaos06-16-05, 08:18 PM | The blackfire spell is a combined effect weave. The first is Direct electrical damage, a degrading effect, fortitude save for half damage. The second, which will be a delayed effect, is a Chaotic Reconstruction weave....Designed to turn the enemy drow to stone. The first is to distract them, hopefully making them unable to make their will saves, being the throes of the electrical attack. Save for both is a DC 30. |
| Ariadne06-18-05, 06:14 PM | For anyone who's curious, the spell vs the marilith was destruction. The last spell Ari cast is flame strike, though she used a focus (the vial and the powder) to extend the spell's range from a 40ft high column with a 10ft radius to a 60ft high column with a 15ft radius to catch more of those pesky fliers. ;) Half of the damage is purely fire, the rest is divine, and she centered the column on the largest grouping of demons she coud see...poor demons. Hmm...I think it's about time Ari started looking for pets in this war....http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v45/Draggyness/smilies/devilrazz.gif |
| House Or'lathi06-18-05, 08:02 PM | Corva'lis> The spell cast is a prismatic spray. If you need more info on that, just get in touch with me. Zentash, Rym'dael, and Chelyrra> If you have any questions, just ask ;) |
| House Or'lathi06-29-05, 03:17 AM | Spells/Effects used: The Nalfeshnee vs Rym'dael: -Slow (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/theraven_stephenh/spells/Slow.html) -Call Lightning (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/theraven_stephenh/spells/Call_Lightning.html) Irthos vs Zentash: -Dimensional Anchor (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/theraven_stephenh/spells/Dimensional_Anchor.html) Furen'dyn vs Zentash (and surrounding area) -Horrid Wilting (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/theraven_stephenh/spells/Horrid_Wilting.html) Any other questions just ask :) |
| House Or'lathi07-01-05, 04:06 AM | Irthos is casting Banishment on Rym'dael attempting to send him straight to Kill'og'lend's place in the Abyss. If you need more info, you know how to get in touch with me :) |
| Mistress Delainna07-06-05, 11:04 PM | Delainna just cast wish. The save is a will save (DC 45). |
| Dark Chaos07-21-05, 08:23 PM | Zentash cast a chaos spell, Raw damage, persistant effect. Fortitude saves each round for half damage. Raw damage is bashing damage, 5d8 per round, for 5 minutes. |
| jeajea07-23-05, 04:29 AM | I'm real sorry for all my slow replies to things... I'm on holiday, see... many appologies! I've put up a reply now though, and I'll try to keep up with it a bit more from now on. |
| jeajea07-23-05, 04:32 AM | Oh yes. As to the Wish cast, Delianna... Jea's effect is basically a contingency that activates when a Wish is cast on him. I'm sure you gathered what it's effect is. Cool? |
| House Or'lathi08-17-05, 03:46 AM | Now it's my turn to apologize to you all for the delay in responses. Post is up though and here's the spells cast: Re'shak - Imprisonment Sev'anar - Maze |
| Klil'og'elend08-17-05, 04:42 AM | For Jeajea and Lana - spell used is Damning Darkness (Book of Vile Darkness, pg. 89-90). 20-ft. radius of darkness, as per that spell, with an added damage per round for non-evil beings (2d6 good aligned/1d6 neutral). |
