| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-10-04, 11:38 AM | Greetings! :D I thought I would go ahead and make one of these. In this first post here I am including Dai'Morra's bio, in the next will be her stats. I will not put her picture in here, but you can refer back to the first post on Pg 1 of the thread. Dai'Morra was born of a male Aasimar, Lord Tyroon Clayrentha, and female Archon Angel, Lora Palar in a place called Wakenia. When Dai'Morra was mature enough to live on her own King Marrowin decided her soul called to adventures not to staying and enjoying the life in such a heavenly place. Dai'Morra was surprised by the King's decision but accepted his words nonetheless and soon headed out to travel down the mountains that surrounded Wakenia. It took her a year to travel out of the kingdom's reach and down to the bottom of the ever beautiful mountains. Her hear was set on adventures and exciting quests she'd find on her way, but it seemed that no one ever need her help, that they all would do it on their own. She could only sigh at such answers and hope the next town or person she ran into would be different, it wasn't. Often she would look in the pond and frown upon her beauty, it was a curse and she knew it. No one wanted to adventure with her nor needed her to help with certain dangerous tasks. As the years passed she grown use to people's reactions to her and she grown accustomed to her exceptional beauty. Dai'Morra knew she had to accept herself before others would and thats what she did. Though it seemed it didn't change much except her outlook on others. While sitting under a tree in a meadow so green and serene she decided she would build a fortress for those with great power to help the less fortunate and to accept the lower beings with kindness. Her only hope would be this place would be a success or it would fail and she'd live in a four story fortress alone. Dai'Morra set out to find people to help build the place, finding travellers and local townsmen. They seemed more than happy to help her and she even met a great mage, Aravilar, who offered to do a few magical things for her fortress. Dai'Morra more than gladly accepted. So the mage set to his work and told Dai'Morra of his deeds. When she offered him money he refused and disappeared. A year passed and the fortress was finally done, costing Dai'Morra a great amount of gold but she seemed willing to pay. So now Dai'Morra waits in the fortress hoping others will join her and help her causes to help the less fortunate and to sit and relax to speak of adventures with her. She has finally found that mysterious mage again, saved his life, and is now his love as she is his. Dai'Morra is 300 years old! ;) |

| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-11-04, 10:41 AM | A quick OOC question here: are Holistacia's protections removed now? Or do they ever time out? I mean the divine fire-barrier, mainly; it's probably not something you'll be keeping around you for all times... so if it's still there, just make sure to mention it in the the IC when it ends or gets removed, please. :) And on another note: LOL! That freakin' :looloo: Vigilante is so sure he's halucinating, i'll probably have to find a new victim for my... ugh... well, i can't quite call it my char, seeing as it's about twice as epic as Oiovoronda  hihihihi! |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-11-04, 10:49 AM | I am not sure about Aravilar's protection spell, you'll have to ask him when he gets on. lol.. It makes you wonder what he ate before going to the fortress. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-11-04, 11:39 AM | Well, he did say it was some sort of mushrooms; though i'd think, as a ranger, he knew wether the mushromms would have any such effects or not... which, in turn, leaves us to the conclusions that he wanted the halucinative side-effects. O maybe he's right and it was just the marinade's age. Anyway, hope Ava and the others are aware of this OOC thread too. |
| ThePreacher02-11-04, 12:21 PM | lol guyz... Btw, what's with the affair between u and magey here? Kinda makes all my courtesy efforts for nothing.. I was hoping for something to evolve between u n me :smirk: But oh well.. Guess u can't beat love.. |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-11-04, 12:26 PM | Let me send you a pm ThePreacher and explain a bit... so make sure its not full ;) *grumbles* Your PM mailbox is full! Please clean it so I can send you a PM. I would put the info in here but I don't want my info to change the outcome of the postings.. so PLEASE clean it out  |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-11-04, 01:25 PM | Tough luck, preach, should'a taken aid when it was offered! :smirk: Now that Tarran smelled him/her on you, and Aravizar's miraclous protection forced him/her out {for now, atleast}, he/she'll not be able to help you anytime soon... A tip for boxcleaning: Check the Outbox {aka Sent Items folder}. It's usually where the real problem lies. {Still waiting for Aravilar to update me regarding the divine firewall's status} |
| ThePreacher02-11-04, 05:43 PM | No problem. Box cleaned. |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-11-04, 09:33 PM | Thanks ThePreacher I'll send you a PM in just a min! :D |
| Lord Tarran02-11-04, 09:39 PM | Well, since I laid it out plain as day, I'd like an Ava/Dai'morra backstory two :bigeyes. :D Tarran |
| aravilar_holistacia02-11-04, 09:49 PM | Hiya, all. Ava/Dai'Morra story: That's for Dai'Morra to explain in depth, but here's a bit: On the Peredhil Halls RP thread, Aravilar had confessed his love for Silmarien, the soon-to-be bride of Anglar, and after a long ordeal, he eventually was killed by the spellfire in his blood. because he was so angry and emotional. The goddess Hanali Celanil allowed him to come back to life, but under one condition: he couldn't remember anything from the past few days, during the whole ordeal. Dai'Morra brought Aravilar back from death by using a bit of celestial magic. I don't know much more than this; it was a SHOCK when Dai'Morra popped up and confessed her love for Aravilar. But, it was quite the RP-maker. After I realized who Dai'Morra's player was (which took about thirty seconds, ashy;)) I understood why she did it. The firewall: It dies down in about 6 hours from casting, so it's probably still up. But, for the sake of RP, it's down. :D |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-11-04, 09:54 PM | *huggles for Ava* You know I couldn't have left you die like that! :D Anyway, you should know me well enough to know who I play! ;) So its no shocker that you know And to the rest of you "Ashy" is refering to me.. :D |
| aravilar_holistacia02-11-04, 10:03 PM | :D Awwww, thanks. Well, back to the RP... |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-12-04, 12:07 PM | I'm offended Ava.. :( I save Aravilar's life, give the player huggles, and I'm sweet to you and yet I find no place on your sig.... which is a spot I've always wanted to see my name.. *sniffles* maybe I'll just keep trying.. *sigh*.. Anyway... I was going to say that there are now 2 Generals of the Fortress. If you'd like to play a major role post it here as what rank you'd like to be or PM me, either is fine, and I'll post the results within a few days after I give everyone time to decide! :D |
| Lord Tarran02-12-04, 04:58 PM | I'd simply like to be allowed to move about as I please, and not be commanded, except of course by Dai'morra (I am the forteress guardian, and therefore answer to her) and Ava in ire circumstances. I have my own troops to order around. Also, if it will make you feel better, I'm going to place Guardian of Dai'morra's Fortress in my sig, as well as Guardian of Elona. And, anyone have good ideas for the twins names? I haven't fleshed Blair and BLake out enough to figure out good names for the twins. Ones a boy, and ones a girl. |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-12-04, 05:05 PM | Thats fine Tarran! I don't mind at all ;) Hmm.. names for the twins.. Krayver (male) and Pracie (female).. *shrugs* just ideas... :P |
| aravilar_holistacia02-12-04, 07:00 PM | Check out my sig, Ashy ;) |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-12-04, 07:03 PM | Awww! I feel special! :D Though sadly enough, Tarran was the first to add Dai'Morra in his sig. *hehe* Though his was not so beautifully put ;) |
| aravilar_holistacia02-12-04, 07:09 PM | @Tarran: :P @Ashy: Quality over quantity... erm.. precedence... You get what I mean ;) |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-12-04, 07:14 PM | its SOO cool to have someone call me that! Oh.. I got bad news to tell you ... I'll send to you in a PM.. |
| ThePreacher02-12-04, 07:20 PM | Ok.. How the hell, a hundred men can look like thousands of men? Not even in the greatest heat of battle. So would u please calrify a few things to me? How many men are there?? (of the enemy ofcourse) |
| Dai'Morra Clayrentha02-12-04, 07:23 PM | There are thousands... Dai'Morra is bad with estimating ;) :P |
| ThePreacher02-12-04, 07:29 PM | Or maybe just too easy to influence ... by certain people. |
| aravilar_holistacia02-12-04, 07:32 PM | I know, I know. Ashy and I have been RPing together for almost five months now. We cover each other :D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-12-04, 11:30 PM | Say, is Tarran a deity or something? It kinda takes all the drama out of this adventure {out of any adventure} if one of the defenders is an Omnipotent Slayer of Anything and Everything... |
| ThePreacher02-13-04, 01:24 AM | Well Dlaeh, if he is then that would explain his marvelous Godmoding abilities. |
| Lord Tarran02-13-04, 09:50 PM | Tarran's not a god. Just chosen son of Gaia in his world. And his charge is the fortress. The guy is over powered I know. But there is nothing he can't deal with. And I'm aware of his slayer bit. I'm working on it. But looking at what he's been through, and what he's taken on, he's looking for a good challenge. |

Riiiiiiight.  |
| Lord Tarran02-13-04, 10:02 PM | Like you should speak Ava. I sure Ava could take Tarran. As long as he wins intiative, and places alot of distance between Tarran and him in the air. Tarran normally can't fly. It takes a mess of rage to get him to do that. |
| aravilar_holistacia02-13-04, 10:06 PM | I know Aravilar could take Tarran. I love that clause in the Chosen of Mystra template where it says: Unknown Powers: Many of the powers of a Chosen of Mystra remain as of yet unrevealed, in some cases even to the Chosen themselves. :D |
| Lord Tarran02-13-04, 10:09 PM | See, at least I come out and say: Immune to pretty much everything. For all we know that power could be... BOOM(Ex):Instantly destroy anything, no save. :D You also have to remember to put things in perspective. Tarran has no divine ranks, and therefore a god could in theory kill him. Or try, being the avatar/chosen of Gaia makes things a little difficult. But he did kill a demon prince, so keep things in perspective please. |
| ThePreacher02-14-04, 04:33 AM | Oh.. I'm glad then.. Atleast if we don't get you mad you won't fly. Well that changes the whole picture then.. Now you're just like every one else on the thread. Equality is a mothafu***! |
| ThePreacher02-14-04, 07:00 AM | Please tell me Tarran, have you ever fuc*** heard of a word called FREE WILL?! :uh-huh: You are not the DM of that thread, so why are you acting like one?!? You can't just go and Fuc*** decide that a character dies! What the hell is wrong with you? Tell me please how is it fun to play like this??? Damn.. I really didn't want to tell you anything like this before, but you have really overdone it my friend. You have practically made that thread disguisting. |
| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 08:20 AM | I suppose you talk about the murdering of Akroma and the rallying of an army of animals? Question, in my postion, how would you have dealt with it? Also, the army rallying, well, there a bunch of nonmagic animals. The only ones who really have a chance are the were creatures, and they'll simply be over run by the numbers of the other side if I've read everything that has been posted. Akroma's player has final say in whether or not she dies, and you know that. But, since the damage reversed by wolf's blood was reversed, she was near death anyway. Tarran snuffing her out, or at least thinking he did, was what I felt was appropriate. Tarran, when he knew he could simply reverse everything, would not have taken that betrayal lightly. Sorry if you have such serious problems with it, but I couldn't think of anything else. Seeing how Akroma, though, continually comes back from situation where that is impossible, I doubt we have seen the last of her. |
| ThePreacher02-14-04, 09:25 AM | Look - You said that there appeared a hord of silver were creatures which overwhelm the enemy's army in a ratio of 2:1. Now about Akroma: When she came to the fortress there was nothing wrong with her limbs or wings (Well, her wings were bruised, but not missing for god's sake!). And what do you mean she has the last word on this?! You clearly wrote the words: "Tarran killed Akroma". Understand this, I have nothing personnal against you. But I do however have much against spoiling fun for others. And also a little against super exaggerated powergamers. What you are doing is called Godmoding in RPG terms. And that thing is not a good one. |
| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 11:08 AM | Preacher: I never said they were werewolves. I said they were silver wolves, which is another name in some games for standard timber wolves. And if you read her first post you'll see she is completely lacking in limbs. Tarran cuts his arm as asks her to drink. The regerentaive (sp?) property of his blood regerenartes her limbs. And she herself has done a fair amount of godmoding (she's already dead, making her unkillable was her own statement on Akroma. Tarran is extreme powerful. He is immune to most magic, and most forms of damage. Only physical damage, from weapons that beat his Damage Reduction, to real damage that can't regenerated. Mind you, his DR is 50/Veranbane, a special enchantment designed specifically to kill Veran, his breed of werewolf. Veran, as I've explained, are werewolves who are powerful not only in wolf form but also in human form. The also absorb the powers of those they slay on a reduced level, and forever more are able to pierce all such creature's defenses. This carries through to other's of the speices. Tarran had never fought a creature related to Akroma, and therefore was slightly worried should she turn totally around. Of course, during the betrayal, Tarran decided to take back his blood, and the power that it had drawn into it from the angel. This also removed the healing from Akroma, bringing her back to the state she was before hand. Any time a creature is absorbed, that has never been absorbed before, the Veran gains a hit die. He chooses what ability each time he kills something. They don't always have to take an ability, instead they can improve an old one. This is the explanation for through the roof regerneration of Tarran. Below are the abilities of Tarran the Veran. In parathesis are the creature's he gained them from. Scent, Sonic Immunity, Detect Emotions are all Veran base abilities Tremorsense, 10ft (Bullette. He's only killed one.) Teleport, Tongues, Lightning Immunity, Petrification Immunity, Cold and Acid Immunity (Corrupted Solars trying to take over first charge, a village.) Poison Immunity, Telepathy, (General Tanar'ri stuff) Find Target (Retriever) Stunning Screech (Vrock) Half-Damage (Hezrou) True-seeing (Glabrezu) Body Flames (Balor. He doesn't often use it.) Fire Immunity (General Baatezu) (Erinyes was his first Baatezu kill.) Detect Thoughts, Sleep and Charm immunity (Doppelgangers) Paralysis Immunity, Blindsense 10ft, SR, Frightful Presense (Dragons) Immunity to Elemental Masteries (Elementals) Gaze Attack Immunity (Psion friend cast it for him) Captivating Song. (Played on his flute. Harpy) 5th Level Sorcery Spells (12 level caster effectively. Some many years of killing arcane wielders wore off on him. He got a spell from each of them, but had to train to tap into it.) Spell Immunity(As rakshasa, from rakshasa) Freedom of Movement (Demon Spider. Creature I made for the world Tarran is from. Send me a PM if you want to see the stats. Its essentially a bebelith with freedom of movement, double speed, and a permanent haste spell.) Regeneration (Trolls. He killed many trolls to get his regeneration to what it is now. Its 50, veranbane. Polymorph Immunity (Lich) Disruption Aura, Mindblank, Blood drain {As vampire} (Granted to him from the slaying of Taatsael, a demon prince, and years of slaying vampires attacking his town.) Children of the Night (Vampire) Spiderclimb (Vampire) His psionic powers come from a fight with a cult of cerebilith. Their master was trying to take over the layer freed from Taatsael. ALl had levels in psion, and enough of them to push Tarran to 20th level Telepath, though he rarely uses the powers. The leader had a special power, called Burning Mind, that protected him like mindblank, and when an attack that would be protected by mindblank was cast on the holder of burning mind, they would take damage, and the effect of the spell/power thrown. This is all of it. Add in chosen of Gaia, meaning animals pretty much always listen, he doesn't recieve falling damage, he doesn't age, and a few more bonuses to his already amazing druidic abilities (20 level druid) and you got Tarran. And the armor, can't forget the armor. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-14-04, 11:49 AM | Pointmissa. What i was saying is: while invincibility may be fun for you, the fact that the rest of us feel as though we could well go home {since you're capable of destroying anything short of a greater deity or another powergamer}, should atleast concern you a little. |
| ThePreacher02-14-04, 11:49 AM | Ok.. wolves. Alot of silver wolves. Now about akroma... all I remember is u let her drink a little blood at the beginning of the thread.. But I can't see nothing about her limbs written there.. But exactly like Dlaeh said: You missed the point! Now.. I already saw you char sheet.. But what does it change? Add a couple of more abilities and you're a god. What's the point in playing such a char the way you do? I mean, ofcourse you can play him.. and I can't tell u how to choose your char... but atleast play him wisely for crying out loud! Btw... Dlaeh wrote: What I was saying: ... ammm... u mean what I was saying... |

Seriously, Tarran, you need to limit your character to be far less powerful than it is now. Just saying that "oh yeah, well I absorb the powers of people I kill, so I have spell immunity and regeneration 50 and...." adds nothing to the game. |
| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 01:29 PM | I have a backstory, though, for each power gained. You have to keep in mind what he has come up against, and won against. His race absorbes the powers of others to better protect. Ask for any of the powers the story, and I will give it. Mind you, if I've done this right, and this means I have to rewrite his char sheet, he's 88th level. 36 for veran hitdie from absorbing, 20 for druid, 20 for psion, 12 for sorceror. I think he's about right for a epic level competitor, seeing as since none of his classes pass into epic levels, meaning no bonus epic feats, or other epic special abilities except those gained strictly from being epic, and not for classes. Chosen of Gaia only kicks in when his life is threatened and she can help. Otherwise, there is no powers granted to him. If I said otherwise earlier, I was mistaken. |
| ThePreacher02-14-04, 01:37 PM | Man... Stop chewing the same ol' bone! We already realized what and why are you. But that does not answer the question why you choose to bolster all these powers in the IC thread. What fun can be made if u come and kill everyone? It is an adventure, so when u come in and kill everybody, it ends! ok? jes... |
| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 01:44 PM | Sorry, being hypersensensttive today, not having a good one. {Mumbles I hate Valentines!} I understand not to bolster, its just that Tarran isn't well known, and I feel that well, lets say a fire ball is dropped on me, maxed, and somehow I don't get a save. And I say, well nothing happens, except he looks slightly singed. And then lighting and ice are drpped on me same fashion, and still nothing. I get accused of just doing it to save my char, and therefore ruining the roleplaying. If I state it upfront at the beginning, well I'm called a godmoder for a bit, but I can deal with that. And yes, it does take away from the roleplaying while I settle the character in. But if we would let it rest, I think things could continue normally. So, Preacher, Finwe, and QDI, we okay? |
| ThePreacher02-14-04, 02:10 PM | Man.. Introducing and "settling" your character doesn't mean killing every one and everything in sight. Damn man.. I don't call immunity to fire or ice godmoding... what I do call godmoding is that freakin playin u have been up to until now. |

| aravilar_holistacia02-14-04, 02:25 PM | OOC: Thank you to Gene_Kynes for this stuff... I've...just...got a few comments, nothin' too major. I got this speech from Gene when i first started posting here, and it's a good one to understand. Behold our most sacred law: The Freedom of Destiny. Usually, it's there so combat is fair...but I might as well be a jerk and yell at someone even at a minor infarction. Or else, I'd...actually...be nice. And we can't let that happen, no siree. Anyway, it just means you can't type someone's response for them, in the event that they're another Player Character (PC). Only they can type their character's actions, and the PC attempting to interact with them can only attempt to do things, unless...naturally...using D&D rules or whatever, it's unavoidable. For instance, a massive wall. You can have the massive wall close in on the hapless person, but their reaction is theirs alone. Hence...please edit your post. I love to see this thread get more people, but I don't like people typing what others say or do. For instance: Gene stepped up behind Agudo, and depressing his knee onto Agudo's coccyx, ripped the garrote through the Archmages throat. That's a more severe statement, though. . Er...here's something lighter. And then Gene said to Branth "From now on, you'll call me God." The poor dragon replied "Y-yes!" You see? Freedom of Destiny. You'll learn to appreciate it when threads get combative. Anyway...happy posting, and enjoy yourself! (( Ooh! And more! Here's the easiest way to know what's FoD violating, and what's not. What can your character control entirely? His body, his mind-linked familiars, maybe dominated living things, and your own PC's/NPC's. For instance, if your Wizard was sick of Gene's sarcasm: Aravilar murmured obscure, ancient words, weaving complex symbols that burned into the air. Raising his arms powerfully above him, he then attempts to merely touch the Shadowdancer. Gene's Response As the elven man's finger made contact, Gene's body dissapeared into an almost comical puff of smoke...and where the Shadovar-blooded man once stood, was a squirrel.(Or frog, or rabbit, or hamster, or rat, or whichever. )) Or... As the elven man's finger made contact, a plume of smoke rose from the ground beneath him...but when it cleared; Gene was still standing, a simple smirk on his features as he cooly said: "There's no tomarrow for you, sunshine." There, more proper examples, heh! |
| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 02:30 PM | I am aware of death of a character being DM's job. But last time I check, Akroma was nearly dead when I revived her. Drawing out what had healed her, therefore reversing the effect, would bring her to the same spot. Since in that postion she would be unable to defend herself, it made more sense for Tarran to finish her, (or not depending on how she reacts), than to have her be overrun by the other armies. I wouldn't consider myself a newbie, but neither would I consider myself an expert. Also, last time I checked, I control what my character does. Therefore, if I say I killed Akroma, when she was in no position to defend herself, and was near it anyway, then the DM can overrule me, but that is what I had Tarran do. |
| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 02:35 PM | FoD makes sense, Ava, but I don't see how I violated it. By my actions, thats how things would have went. If nothing else, Akroma also violated. She used my powers against me, when I stated that I could only pass on my powers if I wanted to, which I didn't. I sound like a child don't I? Help! I can't edit the post if I don't know how! |

| Concerned Friend02-14-04, 05:19 PM | Please excuse me for interrupting. . . I just read the IC thread and I thought I might comment on it a bit. First, a lot of folks are getting very upset with Lord Tarran. It's understandable - but forgiving someone is a lot more commendable than throwing a temper tantrum. Now I might be wrong, I don't clearly know the situation. But I believe that what Lord Tarran did was an honest mistake because he's not completely familiar with the ISRP rules. This isn't a bad thing, we were all once new to ISRP and we don't all gain automatic knowledge of what is expected of us. Lord Tarran killed Akroma. Common sense tells us that it's very poor etiquette to kill someone else's character. That's why freedom of destiny exists. . . However, that being said, I ignorantly killed off someone's character when I was new to ISRP. It's not that I'm a terrible person. . . it's just what events lead up to and I thought it was right because I didn't know it was wrong. Lord Tarran is in much the same situation I believe. . . and I'm appalled by post he received from Shadow19905. It was too full of anger against someone who probably come by the offence accidentally. I have lost respect for your character and for you yourselfThat is simply outrageous in my mind. I can be sympathetic because I can understand why Shadow19905 would be upset. But lashing out at an actual player is never acceptable - I hope to see an apology from that player. . . I'm also not pleased with. Anyway such a pathetic werewolf cannot kill Akroma Angel of WrathI tend to disapprove of players with giant egos over their characters. A werewolf please..killing Akroma Angel of Wrath...that would be like an insect killing a giant.I don't know if that was Shadow19905's original quote, or someone else's, but either way it displays terrible player etiquette. To be fair, every character should be considered equal in power. No one player really has the right to proclaim his of her character is superior. It's very disrespectful. And frankly, I've seen so many power struggles between players and their characters that watching them unfold simply makes me sick. Lord Tarran is asking how he can make things right. That's very admirable. Now, I hope this doesn't sound rude, but he also has to swallow up a bit of his pride and admit that he was breaking FoD. . . Killing another character is a direct violation of FoD, all because a character is down doesn't mean she's defeated. . . But now you know it's a violation and you're taking steps to fix it. That's very good of you. I would also be pleased if Shadow19905 did the right thing and apologized to Lord Tarran for all the disrespect. Yes what he did was wrong, but that doesn't give any one the right to attack him personally. Any way, the ultimate purpose of playing on the ISRP boards is to have fun. A good lesson was learned here. Everyone can walk away with the new knowledge and continue to be happy and have fun! - Concerned Friend |

| Shadow1990502-14-04, 06:51 PM | bleh..sorry i didnt notice the OOC thread before...So your saying you saved her life so now you should kill her before she is killed by the army....*twitch* You really nothing about Akroma do you?.....She the freakin feared and revered Angel of Wrath among the planes. She controlls huge armies, and etc.I posted a a thing on Akromas history, and apparentely you didnt read it so.....Ill post it once more......I can also give you a sight of her abilities and why she is feared and revered among the lands.... Here it is..Also Aravilar did you get my email with the pic of Akroma perhaps you can post it on the board since its not letting me post it. Akroma -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick Status — Akroma Birthplace Continent of Otaria Born 4306 AR (Argivian Reckoning) Died 4306 AR Lifeform Type Angel Written by member Evercursed When some people think of angels, they think of holy manifestations of light and purity, made in Serra’s Realm during its creation. Others think of them as benevolent guardians who were made to serve and protect. However, of all the angels in the long history of the multiverse, few have been as feared and revered as the tyrant Akroma. Akroma was dreamed into existence by Ixidor, the master illusionist, that was exiled from Aphetto after the death of his love Nivea. Driven mad from her death and his banishment into the desert, Ixidor unlocked his hidden powers a being of immense power. The angel Akroma was made from Ixidor’s arm, becoming in essence a loyal part of her creator. She was his protector and would carry out his agendas to the ends of Dominaria. One of her first tasks was to avenge her creator by eradicating the source of his sorrows, the one woman who took away his love and was an instrumental part in his exile from Aphetto. That woman was Phage. "Until the world unites in vengeful fury and Phage is destroyed, I will not stay my hand." Almost immediately, Akroma made her way to the area south of Aphetto, where celebrations were taking place due to the recent completion of the Grand Coliseum. In the arena itself, the pit fights were taking place with a spectacular match between Phage and her brother, the barbarian Kamahl. As the fight raged on, Akroma knew that her hopes of Phage dying in combat were coming to an end. Apparently, Kamahl would neither hurt nor kill his fallen sister in the hopes that she would see the error of her ways and convert back to her old self. That meant Akroma must kill Phage with her own hands. As Akroma landed in the arena, the noise died down. Phage and Kamahl stopped fighting and turned to face the newcomer. To Akroma, it seemed that the fight lasted hours on end. She fought valiantly and with all her skill but the combined forces of Kamahl and Phage proved too much. She managed escaped but not before both of her legs were torn off her body. In great pain, Akroma flew to Ixidor, the only person who could have helped her. Upon her arrival in Locus, Ixidor revealed that he would use a grafting process inspired by the ancient Phyrexians to replace her legs. The new legs would increase her strength greatly. However, to begin the process, Akroma needed to find a supplicant for the legs. To do this, Ixidor had the perfect answer. Using his great powers, Ixidor dreamed a jaguar into existence and then killed it. Taking its legs, Ixidor imagined Akroma to be whole and healthy. When he opened his eyes, Akroma's legs were replaced by those of the jaguar, making her in effect a centaur-angel. Akroma was as good as new and filled with a new vigor. After Akroma told her creator about the events of her last encounter with Phage, he informed her that an attack on Topos was inevitable. Already, the forces of Krosa and the Cabal had started to form an alliance and they would attack in a matter of weeks. Immediately, Ixidor started the building of an army to defend his land. He created hundreds and thousands of strange creatures. To provide reconnaissance, he created thousands of small beings that could allow him access to the thoughts of anyone they entered. To further strengthen his borders, he created creatures of light, which would make the fears of whomever they entered into a reality. If his plans should go to ruin, Ixidor made several shadows of himself, which he called unmen, which would allow him instant escape, should his armies fail. With these preparations Ixidor felt Topos was well prepared for the assault. "It is from Phage that this evil springs, and to her it shall return." The attack came sooner than expected and Akroma was surprised to see that while the armies of Krosa and the Cabal were marching towards Topos, they were accompanied by the rich spectators from the Grand Coliseum. Clearly, the Cabal had decided that the battle was going to be a spectacle rather a fight for vengeance. That kind of decadence would not be allowed in Topos. The combined armies of Krosa and the Cabal converged on the border of Ixidor’s land and almost instantaneously, an image of Ixidor appeared, ordering them to turn back. However, it was too late. The ruse had already worked. During that time, the small creatures had already infested the armies, broadcasting the thoughts of the men and beasts to Ixidor. As Ixidor discerned the thoughts of his enemies, he sent wave two to battle the enemy. As the creatures charged into battle, they instantly took the forms of whatever they touched, causing confusion in the ranks of the enemy. While the soldiers fought the stra! nge copies of themselves, they struggled to advance through the pile of bodies and the remains of the destroyed copies. As the battered remnants of the Krosan and Cabal forces advanced, they found themselves barred by walls made of lapses in time and temporal energy. That was when Ixidor released his last and most devastating wave of the "light" creatures. As Akroma flew towards Phage to engage her enemy in combat, she saw one of the light creatures enter her. The result was instantaneous. Within moments, the ground around Phage exploded as each person she had ever killed were reincarnated as hundreds of massive deathwurms that spread death and destruction around the battlefield. Akroma watched helplessly as a deathwurm swallowed her creator Ixidor and escaped before she could slay it. The combined forces of Krosa and Cabal fled. The Patriarch’s gamble had lost them the day. Soon afterwards, the deathwurms disappeared back to Phage's body, leaving Akroma alone in the! midst of a ruined Topos. Phage and Kamahl had fled the battlefield and Ixidor was assumed dead. Akroma was devastated. Her "god" had been defeated and her armies were ruined. However, she was determined to avenge Ixidor and keep his dreams. Within a month, Akroma had the Southern Order bowing to her. Using her angelic and heavenly appearance, she turned the natives of the surrounding lands to her cause. Thousands joined her side through her promises of hope and honour. One of them was Braids, the Cabal Patriarch's chief servant. Akroma had found the Cabal minion cowering in the undergrowth of Krosa after the battle in Topos, now dubbed the Nightmare War. Seeing Braids as a potential weapon to use against the Cabal Patriarch, Akroma healed all of Braid’s wounds and transformed her into a happy devotee of Ixidor. Though she was pleased with the developments in Locus, Akroma still bore her rage on the Unmen that Ixidor had created. They had abandoned their mast! er in his time of need and two of the Unmen had fled in order to escape her vengeance and find bodies of their own. She had hoped to gain revenge on Ixidor's behalf and granted another Unman intelligence. She dubbed the creature "Umbra" and gave him the task of finding the other two traitors. For now, she was content to wait while her ever-growing army continued to expand. "I’ll devise a fitting fate for those theocides." In the Stubble Fields of Topos, Akroma found that her soldiers had filled some of the holes that had formed during the deathwurms' escape. She had a suspicion that maybe the deathwurm that had swallowed Ixidor was hiding inside one of the holes. As she flew into the hole, she smelled the essence of the wurm but found nothing else. In disappointment she left the fields and commanded her soldiers to fill up the holes. Weeks later, she received a very interesting message. Apparently, some of the survivors of the Nightmare War had found a city and had begun to inhabit it, naming it "Sanctum". Lead by Zagorka, once second to Phage, the Sanctum had been receiving numerous visitors over the past months. One of these visitors was her hated nemesis Phage, who had apparently denounced the Cabal. However, Akroma was not fooled. As she had learned from Braids earlier, The Patriarch had intended to use Phage as a vessel to conceive his god Kuberr in human form. Armed with the ! knowledge, she flew to the Sanctum in order to confront Phage. Upon her arrival, things were not as she expected. As her rival came onto the battlements, Akroma was somewhat amazed that Phage claimed that this would not be a war of swords but a war of words. Before she departed, Akroma spoke two words: Virot Maglan, the true name of the Cabal Patriarch. On her return to Locus, she discovered an assassination attempt by Stonebrow, one of Zagorka’s centaur generals. However, before he could strike Akroma, one of Ixidor’s creatures converted him to her cause. Not deluded by Stonebrow’s attempts, she invited some distant nobles to dine with her in order to obtain help in her holy war against Phage. Stonebrow was made as a humble carrying mule for the occasion and the guests appeared to be having a good time. Just as everything seemed to be going to plan, her chief advisor Aioue rushed in, telling her that her guest’s shoes had disappeared. As she went to investigate, she noticed a portal where the shoes used to be. It seemed that the portal lead to the deathwurm. Without giving a second thought, she jumped into the box to confront her master. "The deathwurm is down there, so is our lord Ixidor." A swirl of colours greeted her eyes as she traveled into the portal and the next thing she knew was that she was face to face with the deathwurm, which ate her master. With blood rising in her veins, Akroma attacked the deathwurm in an attempt to wound or kill the creature. But all her efforts were in vain as the wurm’s thick hide absorbed most of the damage. In the end, it was only size that mattered and the deathwurm swallowed her in one gulp. The inside of the deathwurm was a terrible place to behold. The pulsing walls of purplish flesh and the hot air that constantly vented from the great lungs of the creature made it difficult to navigate. In addition, the acidic body fluids of the great Wurm attacked her feet and caused great pain. After a long and tiresome search, Akroma finally found the crouched form of Ixidor with the glimmering form of a woman that looked like herself. She tried to converse with Ixidor but it was no use. He wallowed in grief and wished to remain with the spirit of Nivea. Akroma obliged to his wishes and she departed. "I will return for you." Akroma finally emerged the shoebox portal after a month. The acidic fluids from the Wurm managed to dissolve her feet, leaving her helpless and greatly weakened. Just as she was going to pass out from the pain, she heard the voice of her enemy. Phage had arrived at Locus. However, as Phage closed in for the kill and Akroma noticed that her belly was greatly swollen. However, before Phage came into contact with Akroma, the converted Stonebrow aimed a blow at Phage. Instead of killing the minion, the blow was deflected by a hard object that seemed to originate from Phage’s belly. Soon afterwards, Stonebrow and Phage both fled Locus, leaving Akroma to begin her healing process. Months soon passed and Akroma’s spies had reported that strange events were happening in the Sanctum. With her healing processes complete and blades replacing her feet, Akroma began the move into the Sanctum with her army, which consisted of the Southern Order and various other nations that joined her cause. If attacked, the Sanctum was not going to last the week. On her way to the Sanctum, she was greeted by the three shadowy forms of the Unmen. During their travels, the Unmen had searched for ways to obtain bodies. They had tried almost everything and now requested bodies from her to be given to them out of her mercy. Akroma used her potent magic to grant bodies to the two traitors who had abandoned Ixidor at the conclusion of the Nightmare War. She had plans of her own. Once the unmen had physical forms, they could be killed. Before she could put her plan into operation, Umbra, the third Unman realized something was wrong and sacrificed himself so that his two companions could escape. Akroma’s lance swished through empty air, her plans thwarted by the sacrifice of the Unman. Nevertheless, there was no time to look for the two so she continued on her way to the Sanctum. Within days, she arrived and she was surprised that the glyphs and statues seemed become sentient and welcomed her arrival. Upon closer inspection, the glyphs directed her to a dome in the middle of the city. Eventually, she made it onto the top of the dome and there, her rival, Phage, confronted her. The two enemies spent little time conversing and before long, a fight broke out, with the two women trading blows with each other. "I can do anything I want to you. I am good and you are evil. Is it wrong to torture Torment? Is it wrong to kill Death? As the fight intensified, Akroma saw the hulking form of Kamahl wielding the Soul Reaper, the axe identical to the one Stonebrow had used on Phage. Just as Kamahl swung his axe at them, Akroma noticed the form of Zagorka jumping from one of the surrounding towers into the dome. The Soul Reaper sliced through all three women, killing them almost instantaneously. As the explosion that was triggered by the impact engulfed her body in a blinding light, Akroma finally died in peace, knowing that Ixidor had been avenged at last. |

| Lord Tarran02-14-04, 06:59 PM | Tarran's from a plane where he would never of heard of Akroma. Also, being feared and revered isn't exactly a blessing. Tarran is equally as powerful as Akroma. He healed her, hoping that the evil he felt from Soul Reaper permeatating her could be exorcised. HE tried to kill her, becuase he didn't think it was working. We'll figure it out eventually. |
| Concerned Friend02-14-04, 07:25 PM | Aravilar, I'm afraid Lord Terran is right. But you get my best roguey smile for your good effort! Shadow19905, terrific story, but please read my post above. There's no reason to be directing any more negativity towards Lord Tarran. Thank you. - Concerned Friend |
| Shadow1990502-14-04, 07:53 PM | heh......sorry for not reading your post earlier. I understand you are upset by my "lashing out", but I was very upset with this. It is common sense to know not to kill someones player off. I dont know if youve been following a lot of Tarran posts, but I can only tolerate so much gloating and crap. If our characters are meant to be equal then Terran needs to know that the most. Also that simili "A werewolf please..killing Akroma Angel of Wrath...that would be like an insect killing a giant." was resonable considering Akromas past, also It was a product of my outrage I had to express. I am offended how you use my quotes as an example of what you dont like. I understand what your trying to get through, but you need not to shame the character that has done this. Simply send them a PM of what you think so no further damage can be done. I thank you for posting this, and resolving the issue. Im looking forward to seeing more helpfull posts from you. :D |
| Concerned Friend02-14-04, 08:50 PM | Thanks for the reply. Well, we've both managed to offend each other. I'm sorry to have taken your quotes and offend you like how I did. . . I didn't mean to direct any personal offence against you. . . I just wanted to point out some player etiquette problems I saw. And they were evident in those quotes. To your credit, I can certainly understand that you were upset. That's why you said what you said. But it was disrespectful to Lord Tarran's player and his character. Akroma is a powerful character, and that is true. But Lord Tarran's character is just as powerful to him, and that has to be respected. Any way, my ultimate message was for everyone to forgive each other and continue having fun! Please note that I'm not on one person's side more than the other. In my mind both players have done something wrong. . . To Lord Tarran's credit, I can see he's making a good effort to make things right again. Shadow19905, thank you very much for the "thank you." I do hope I'm helping things. . . And, although it might sound strange, I hope I wont be posting any more helpful posts. :) Take care and have fun! - Concerned Friend *Edit* I haven't been following the IC thread, so my apologies if I've missed something. There was one last thing that I wanted to point out. I'm only hoping for the players to get along with each other. . . I don't mind what the characters think of each other. Heck, the character that I play on these boards has to be one of the most spiteful personalities I've seen. But I carefully separate myself from IC, and OoC. :) |

| Shadow1990502-16-04, 02:00 PM | heh....bleh im sure you would just love to be the woman carrying her into the fortress naked....:inlove: Hey, can we post anything a bit provacative such as a slightely nude (very nude) picture of someone Its nothing that is very sexually explict, it just very natural. I can just put, only click on this link, if over a certain age....right? bleh...I was going to find some Akroma pics, and I found one of her bathing in a stream, so its nothing very sexually explict. *nods* |
| ThePreacher02-16-04, 02:10 PM | Well... errr... I don't think I would go that far as to become a woman in order to be close to you... but.. I can always ask her to give you to me.. After all.. I'm a ranger... Animal empathy and all that :smirk: and... A picture of Akroma bathing in a stream WOULD BE MUCH WELCOME!!! @Ava: lol man... dessert... lol  |
| Shadow1990502-16-04, 05:35 PM | Ah..yeah! I found one of her ready to fight Phage. From posting that long history thing on Akroma you should all know who Phage is. So here they are ready to fight. "It is from Phage that this evil springs, and to her it shall return." http://www.afn.org/~afn50094/pics/legions/legions4.jpg |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-16-04, 11:06 PM | A muscular, ugly-looking gnome with a huge backpack and a chainmail, worn over a white silk shirt with a religeous insignia, a mancatcher attached to his belt, and scars covering his bald head, runs into the fortress, locates Dai'Morra, and shouts to her, while jumping up and down impatiently to get her attention. The most notable feature about him is a wide circlet covering his forehead. "Lady 'Morra, Lady 'Morra! You gotta tell your player, Ashley, that her other character, Cora, is urgently needed in Kulideb's Flute & Boot inn! Tell her a big and scary drider is looking for her there, that he wants to kill her rapist, and there's a VERY scary undead mage who wants to help him with that! But they need Cora with them, or the demons will screw them up, tell her!!" |
| ThePreacher02-17-04, 11:39 AM | Ava.. I'm asking you.. could you please stop godmoding? Please stop dictating what my character does next.. it is getting quite irritating. :bored: |

Please stop dictating what my character does next.. it is getting quite irritating. :bored: It's Aravilar's personality showing through, first off. Secondly, there *is* a plot to the story, and if I don't push it towards a goal (the one planned out on the phone with Ashley) it won't go anywhere. |
| Shadow1990502-17-04, 08:00 PM | I must agree with aravilar_holistacia, but you really are controlling his character, although your trying to show your characters personality....I understand your leading up to a plot, but try to be a little nice, and show a little respect for his character as everyone does to yours. Thank you!:D |
| Lord Tarran02-17-04, 08:09 PM | I kill someone and get yelled at for a page and a half, and Ava steers a plot and controls someone and doesn't even get told off. {Grumble, grumble, grumble}. Anyway, Ava, can Ava take down the gate? Or will I be forced to crush in it? |

Anyway, Ava, can Ava take down the gate? Or will I be forced to crush in it? I control when necessary because there is more at work than *you* see, everyone. What goes on behind the scenes, what you DON'T hear about, rules the thread. He can have whatever resect he wants. I post in character, and whatever comes of that character is really not a reflection on myself. What Aravilar would do and what I would do are usualyl different. That's because I don't have a lovesick goddess dictating my actions. And Tarran, I *have* been doing this awhile... although that's not really an excuse... @Tarran: I'll get to posting when I can.... I'm really busy with a personal problem (read: ultimate in humiliating love and longing) so I'll get back to you soon on that. |
| Shadow1990502-17-04, 09:54 PM | Yes, I know, but he hasent killed anyone off. Im sorry about that, but it was very serious. Ava you are controlling the thread a little, and thats okay since you and Dai Morra have talked about it, but dont control the characters. Also your right that isnt much of an excuse so dont post it. I really hope we dont have another one of those big fights again..So please lets all try to play nice.:D |
| ThePreacher02-18-04, 02:03 AM | You're missing the point man. When I say you CONTROL my character, I don't mean that occasion when you cast a fly spell on me without asking (That really reflects your character!). What I do refer to is you deciding that I flew with you: "And the trio flew into the night..." or something like that it was... You can't decide wether I followed you or not, YOU ARE NOT THE DM... And even if u were... a normal dm never interferes with the main plot... only when it is utmost needed.. very rarely. You see.. Things can't always go the way you want them. If you want things to always go the way you want then go write a book or something. What the hell does it mean, you're trying to push the plot?! What you are doing is making the thread look like a childish fairytale. There's more to a story than hack and slash. I bet I know what u gonna do when we get to the fortress... Probably just blow a couple of thousands demons to the skies and rescue your beloved Dai'Morra, and all that in one post. Now tell me please where does ROLE PLAYING get into all of this? Or DnD rules? Or anything which would keep you under control? |
| Shadow1990502-18-04, 04:40 PM | Ava you do rush things. Like when you all rushed into the fortress with Lady Dai Morra leaving me ouside wiondering what happened. I often find myself having to change posts because your aways rushing scenes ahead. "My lady Dai Morra blah blah bah." Ive heard it way too many times." Perhaps you should let the Dm decide what to do, because I really am getting sick of it. What will happen after the battle?..will you continue to go on about your Lady Dai Morra and control the characters further. Just please let the characters decide themselves as individuals what they decide to do.:uh-huh: |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-26-04, 12:00 PM | Err, D'M, for incase He Of No Name, my dear char, didn't quite make it clear enough up there, i'll say it myself: Pleeeaaase freaking respond! You playd Cora in the F&B (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2682434#post2682434), and now dissappeared. Treemmouphindar and Magnus are now trying to hunt down the fiend that chased her, and we need YOU to be the DM and NPC the fiend. Also, Treemmouphindar is trying to locate Cora to speak to her, and is running amouk across the F&B looking for her. Now we're all hanging in an uncomfortable situation there, since you abbandoned the thread... |
| Leenaria The Pixie02-26-04, 11:47 PM | Quath, I will get on that as soon as possible, sorry about that I hadn't thought that much has gone on! okay and let me say this about this thread. I'm afraid the Fortress must be closed, it seems to much has been said and done that has upset the whole thing! I thought this would be a nice thread but I was wrong! This thread and the IC thread are closed! If enough people PM me I MAY bring it back but otherwise, consider it gone! |
