| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-01-03, 01:49 PM | Look, i'm about to open an adventure here... {yes, again! Don't interrupt.} What i need is players that meet the following requirememnts: 1). Will not abbandon the thread withot a real reason. Delaies are ok, but leaving the thread permanently and unexpectedly is NOT. There is no poin in joining if you have no intention on playing. 2). Will read before replying. To keep the plot integrity you're suppose to interact with the game's reality, and for that, you're supposed to be aware of this reality. Reading other people's posts is the key to this. 3). Will generally make sence. I hope no explanation needed here, right? Roleplaying is prior to power, as always. Yes, i know these are tough requirememnts for some of you, but on the bright side, there are assets too!: You can play nearly anything, as long as it makes sence; You can count on unnatural things to happen {the plot can go epic}; You can call the DM an *******; And more. If you agree to these, please leave a message here, and tell me what you're playing. Once four or more players arrive, i'll open the IC thread, and we'll start. |
| Harold Crestdragon09-01-03, 02:38 PM | I thought about playing Harold Crestdragon, Shield dwarf from the Azzrhat Mountains, located in the Anauroch desert. I will forge a little background for him soon, as well as his overall abilities. Just for now, think of him as a ftr7/dwarven defender7, whose task and life is to protect the one he has to protect (hopefully a member of the dwarven race), for it has been his family's fate and art since countless generations. Here is my stupid plea to a random player (altough I don't want any of you to feel like you have to accept this deal...) Would one of you accept to play a dwarven character of some importance (political, divine, arcane), that would be, to some degree, my character's master? |
| N.Y. Wench09-01-03, 04:34 PM | Fine i'll play the dark-dwarven ambassador you told me to, oh omnipotent Quath-something Isra-something... can i still use your usual name? I won't be keeping the robes and stuff a... staff, since it's not a wizard, but will keep all my jewels! (yes i know one of them bears a Venus symbol, so what maybe the ambassador is female, you can't know with dwarves right?) And i'll use your char's example and have a fiend's heart, if you son't mind. Abyssies are fiends aren't they?;) Come-on drag two other players (or more!) and lets hit the rod a... road! [edit:] Omg my avatar's pic is scary! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-01-03, 05:57 PM | Ugh... Snee? What's up with the nick, why a New York Wench? Anyway, glad to see you here, and you know you can change your avatar if it risks your nightsleep. Oh, and yes, you can call me whtever you choose :D Now for the character: You should think of a name, and some other things for him/her. I'll provide the story of how you ended up where you are, but you need an appearance, and anything else you wish other players {and me} to know about the char. Also note that it's called Duergar. When you say "dark dwarf" people might think you refer to a derro. And the fiend we both know and love is spelled Abishai. Which of my chars did you mean? Noulminurr carries around a merilyth's heart, but there was an adventure where he got it... then agian, since you keep the magical object Necta gathered, i suppose you can also have any parts of the abishai she slew... *sob* i still pitty those knights and griplies... :( |
| N.Y. Wench09-02-03, 12:11 PM | Kay Streetcat i'll use your style and give her a hebrew name "Mokhicara" accented on the end Female but noone knows caz duers dont care for sex (i mean gender, not "getting involved") so she ddint yet tell it to the others and only another duergar can see it Lowlevel psion trained to be a diplomat and mainly uses her telepathy and such for negotiation. She never had adventures and only good in negotiating True neutral and that makes her more bearable for the dwarves but she is still a duergar sans culture and habbits and everything Very grunty grudgy and unpleasant but never hasty and never raises her voice. She also never can be surprised because she learnt to expect everything and others who wanted to be diplomats for the surface and didn't learn to never be surprised didn't become such high rank diplomats. They got killed her society is like Sparta Studded leather apron/overall/dress but studded with something very tough and not just steel. Shoulderplate made of gold studded with emeralds on the left shoulder and bracelet with eight culons of gems each in different color hanging from it on the right hand. Beautyfull cape with patterns picturing cave stalagmits sewen on it and a platinum coif on her head other than that she has her clanmark on her chest and it's a stalagmit too but greenish on one side her clan's name is Gmitmold (Streetcat knows about the magic in some of the things and the others are not magical) So that's my Ambassador Mokhicara of Gmitmold and she proves "good intentions" of the duers to the real dwarves and after a symblic amount of tyme (one year for a dwarf or duer it is symbolic if not less than symbolic) she will come to negotiate over the peace treaty betuin her culture and the surface in this case Azzrhat Streetcat listen N.Y. Wench means "Not Your Wench" nothing to do with New York here :) |
| Malendor...09-02-03, 08:13 PM | Hi! Mind if I join? I promise to make sense, read before I reply , and not quit till we're done. Let me see...chararecter will be....Oh let's pull Ramoth out for the fun of it. Info: Ramoth is a dragon who can change into human form. She was raised by a Pern dragon, thus making her attitude a little milder then most of her species. (Pern dragon's are more docile and complinte then any other type. Can give you much more info on them if you need it) She appears to most as a Human female wearing a silver colored travlers cloak with hood, which she keeps pulled up most of the time. When the hoods down you'll notice her waist lenght silver hair. Her eyes, when visable, are the only thing that give's away the fact she is a dragon. The change color depending on her mood, but most times are a silverish color. She knows some basic spells (Using a form called "Will and The Word" Can explain better if need be), can transform herself at will (to any size dragon she wishes or back to human only), and travels "Between" time and place. (Also can be explained). She carries no weapons (Who needs weapons when you have claws and teeth right?) and wears no armor ( dragon's). Her biggest weakness would be the lack of weapons and armor, after all sometimes you can't change forms fast enough to save yourself. Her reason for joining is her husband and children. Long story, but the short of it is she gave birth to a set of triplets about...um.. Two years ago and thier driving her nuts (Mix dragon with neomancr ((Did I spell that right...nope darn it)) and you get the triplets). She needs a break and an adventure is just the break she wants. Ok there's all the info. Let me know what you think and if I need to fill anything else in! :D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-03-03, 01:23 AM | Cool, glad to have you, Melandor! Please elaborate about the "moving betuin time and space" issue, and think up of some reason as to what she's doin in the Anauroch desert currently... though i suppose the concept of "Just passing by on her adventure and with no specific aim, could use the company" will be fine too :) To Snee: I never claimed you as my wench, keep dreaming, dear fetishist ;) ;) |
| Ramoth09-03-03, 11:19 AM | Ok ummm...Between time and place. Well, it's a Pern dragon ability that Ramoth learned from her adopted mother. Basically when in dragon form she can take a picture of a place from anyone's mind and transport herself there. She can also travel through time that way, but that requires a slight knowledge of the stars above the area and so forth, since Pern dragon's use stars as guides when traveling between times. She can transport others "Between" with her, but they must be on her back or held by her. Falling off "Between" or being dropped "Between" results in that person never being seen again. Being dropped "Between" is about the worst thing you can do to a person, not only is it colder then space, but you would fall forever. I guess that makes "Between" kinda like a void, there's just nothing there. Her excuse for joining the party will be....ummm..... Oh I got it! She was looking for something important, got the wrong directions from some one, and telported herself "Between" to the desert. The "It was an accident" Theory. And her excuse for staying will be the tripped drained her to much to allow for an imediate return, so she's tagging along. |
| Harold Crestdragon09-07-03, 12:19 PM | Here is Harold's Background. DR stands for Dalereckoning, the way of marking years in Faerun. -789 DR For many years, or rather centuries, many dwarven treasures, marvelous pieces of dwarven craft, laid without legitimate owners, lost in the deepest caves of the Golden Rift. According to the wisest of priest, the oldest of preachers, these wonderful artefacts were left by the Mordinsamman to ensure their protected race eternal survival, for these important entities, gathering in the intricate realm of Dwarfhome, already had foreseen the many, unnameable sharp threats that would puncture their sturdy creations’ destiny. In this impressive vault, gigantic altar dedicated to Dumathoin’s infinite glory, were left, away from greedy hands, a complete soldier’s equipment, donned by an impressive statue, sculpted from the hardest of granite. A decorated full plate, on which was finely chiselled a gold dragon’s opened maw, ready to breathe burning jets of flame on the enemies of the armor’s owner. The beast’s eyes, magnificent, were cut rubys, and his golden wings extended to form a blinding crest, meant to protect the bearer’s delicate neck. The helm, made from the purest adamantine, featured a dwarven, fearsome visage on the back of the helm. The gloves, on which stood spikes of hardened metal, were closed on what seemed to be a weapon forged by Moradin himself. A long chain, as solid as steel, yet as valuable as silver, on which hanged a massive spiked head, was held aggressively by the impressive sculpture. Thus, for centuries it stayed there, remaining untouched by the several generations of dwarves who mined the many veins located around the hallowed ground. On one blessed day, however, deep in the perpetual darkness that reigns and oozes in the dark tunnels, a lucky pick, wielded by a massively built dwarf, broke the stony wall of the sealed chamber. This worker was known as Füthor Glamr, renegade heir of his otherwise flawless clan. His white beard hiding most of the room he just discovered, the miner proved unable to distinguish the many treasures that awaited him. In awe, he dropped his tool at his feet, surprised at the relics he just discovered. Possessed by the malicious spirit of greed, Füthor ran to his inestimable prize, throwing away his vest and boots to put on the impressive arms. It is a bewildered clan that welcomed their offspring when he came back from a difficult day, proudly wearing a confusing set of weapons, that could only have been forged by the gods themselves. With blinding speed, muttered secrets and inquisitive gossip even reached the tired brain of the clan’s patriarch, an old man crooked under the weight of his innumerable responsibilities. Swiftly, he ordered his sons to bring Füthor, voluntarily or not. Ensued a terrible, heated debate, which opposed the loyal members of the clans, and the bulk of the opportunists, partisans of the lucky miner. Some thought that this discovery should be shared with the community as a whole, that it was a sign that they were chosen and protected by the Mordinsamman themselves, while the discoverer and his friends claimed the prize to be his possession, and his alone. After a few minutes of discussion, the atmosphere began to grow weary, tense. Swords were unsheathed, fists were brandished under the renegades’ noses, and shouts from the Clan Glamr echoed, heard on the most distant peaks of the Golden Rift. From within the ranks of the besieged, though, strange words rose in the air, spoken by a grim dwarf with a dark skin, the only one in the room who never did wear any armor, having preferred the arcane arts to the martial discipline, traditional among the dwarven culture. Using one of the vile, cowardly tricks he learned in his fearsome tomes, he filled the room with a demoniac cloud that even the dwarves’ eyes could not penetrate. Multiple sounds were heard, though, by all those gathered. The renegades, those who forfeited their own clan’s honor, were now stealing his rightful prizes away from its coffers. Soon, half of the clan was running freely in the tunnels, chasing the daring robbers. Füthor released much of his tools during the run, giving his weapon, shield and helmet to his allies, in hope of alleviating his burden enough to distance his pursuers. Sadly though, the armor still proved too heavy for the dwarf, and he got caught soon enough. Those he considered friends let him pinned on the ground, escaping with their new prizes. Shocked by this infamous theft, and the treason that soiled the honor of clan Glamr, the council decided that it was necessary to imprison Füthor, if only to serve as an example. 1363 DR “Harold Crestdragon, son of Hubert Crestdragon, please step forward.” A dwarf, hidden behind his carefully trimmed black beard, advanced and bowed, in a mark of deep deference to his king. “Milord?” he asked. “You’re a precious element to us, and you know it well. Member of clan Glamr, the greatest of our Houses, proud since the discovery of the relic of protecting our society, you’re well respected everywhere under the sun of Azzrat. Since countless generations, the greatest warriors of your clan bore the armor that you are yourself wearing today: your lineage is as old and wise as dwarvenkind. For this reason, and for your indefectible courage during precedent missions, you’ll be assigned a task that may seem, at first glance, strange, especially after the skirmish you had to lead, three years ago.” “Do not worry, your Highness. Yours wishes are my orders, and I won’t misjudge nor argue with those.” The king and his advisors, who shared many doubts on that question, exchanged a few looks. “We sure hope so. You will have to, in order to promote harmony and keep the truce between our two people, protect with your life and assist Mokhicara, a duergar diplomat.” From behind the throne, a dark figure appeared, and Harold’s widened as these new informations penetrated his thick skull. Protect a duergar? Why would he do that infamy? Would not that be an insult to his house? Tortured by these horrendous questions, the bodyguard mindlessly followed his new mistress, reluctantly. |
| Gene_Kynes09-07-03, 01:27 PM | I like your story format, Harold. :) Alrighty...Quathmoir, mind if I join? I can follow those rules. If y'let me in, I guess I'll use a leveled-up version of my Outlaw character from the roll-playing boards. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-09-03, 08:02 AM | Gotta love Myranthor' style :D Originally posted by Harold Crestdragon From behind the throne, a dark figure appeared, and Harold’s widened as these new informations penetraamy? Would not that be an insult to his house? Tortured by these horrendous questions, the bodyguard mindlessly followed his new mistress, reluctantly. And that means you, Snee aka NYW. :smirk: Malendor/Ramoth: Cool, you're in. And i begin to become fond of all that Perm concept, i'll read up on it more, a bit later Gene KYnes: Cool, please c/p or link the description of your char. |
| Gene_Kynes09-09-03, 08:55 PM | Olive skin, brown hair that often hangs in front of his eyes, which are blue-green, almost mimicing the ocean. Constantly cleanly-shaven. Wears a dark blue surcoat, with dark blue and black tones found in his overshirt, trousers, and gloves. He is almost always concealed in a fine-quality black hooded cloak that seems to always hang on him without need of claps. A silver-chained amulet hangs around his neck, a small sapphire, a relic of his nobility, hidden underneath the folds of his shirt. The tattoo depiction of a harlequin mask rests on his chest, inked in black and white (symbol of Olidammra). Rogue/Outlaw of the Crimson Road mixture. Pretty fun to play, if I could just nail his personality down. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-10-03, 07:39 AM | Nice, so we have four characters here, i'm glad. Lets give it another day to see if anyone else joins {i hope someone does}, and then start. If no one else joins, we'll make it open, so that people can join during the adventure... though this may drag the attention of "Why-read?" and "Why-post?" players... not that i wanna sound unwellcomming or anything, ofcourse. |
| Drindin09-10-03, 09:16 AM | His name is.... Robert. He is a half-ogre cleric to the god of thieves, Olidamara. He started adventuring early on in his training, hoping to find his place in the world as not only a half-ogre, but as one that is a cleric to the god of thieves. Sadly, even with his little crew of bard and theive followers (I's gots me some followers!), all worshipers of Olidamara, none of them bothered to record their ventures, seeing as he was a Half-ogre. He didn't particularly mind, but he wished they would record at leasta few of them, finding that a little ridiculous. After about two years of having the followers, they set up a caravan-style base of operations. However, he didn't count on them being way-laid by a horde of hobgoblins, which proved no good to the amount of folloowers he had, dropping their number from roughly thirty to a mere ten, and the remaining ten simply ran away. He then struck out alone, except for the half-elven bard companion, who actually bothered to write about his explorations and put them into song, as they both felt a sort of kinship towards each other, as both were out casts. Soon, their paths parted, however. The bard needed to travel through the city, and sing of their many explorations to the members of that city. But Robert needed to feel the breeze of the praries, the rains of the forest, the hot sun of the desert. Wanderlust had it's grab on him, and he went off on his own. After many years, and Upon his many journeys, he stumbled upon this motley crew, and decided to join. The promise of gold, riches, and a true test for his powers of trickery and chaos, was all but to welcomed. |
| Harold Crestdragon09-11-03, 06:44 AM | ...as well as his ability to cast healing spells! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-11-03, 09:08 AM | Originally posted by Drindin After many years, and Upon his many journeys, he stumbled upon this motley crew, and decided to join. The promise of gold, riches, and a true test for his powers of trickery and chaos, was all but to welcomed. Not very likely. The group leaders are {de-juro} the duergar diplomat Mokhicara, and {de-facto} her somewhat reluctant protector, Harold. The latter will prolly have problems with taking a companion who describes his skills as "powers of chaos and trickery". On the other hand, GK's character is a greate match for Robert, since, if i understand correctly, he's a worshiper of Olidamamara. Now, this brings me to another issue: The adventure starts in Realmspace, which means Olidamamra is unreachable, and the prayers will be heard by either Mask {or worse}, or in the case of good-alligned olidamarists - one of the racial deities with an apropriate portfolio. So i suggest Robert and GK's char to arrive via a portal from Greyhawk {or whereverthey are from} into the cavern beneath Ananuroch, where they'll meet the rest of the group, and join with them for the sake of survival {the meeting will be done in game} Also, a few things i need to know: GK: name and allignment of your char would be nice. Drindin: Robert's allignment, and if possible - appearance. I could also use his last companion's name {i mean the halfelven bard}. A minimal personality description for both of the olidammarites is recomended but not crucial. |
| Drindin09-11-03, 10:01 AM | His last compainion was Jared of grey hawk. They both are chaotic good. Robert appears to have greenish-grey skin, long, black hair, huge broad shoulders, his back is slightly slumped forward. His brow juts out slightly, as does his lower jaw, though he doesn't resemble a half-orc that powerfuly. He wears an old tunic with the arms torn off, and a pair of old pants that, too, had the legs torn off at the knees. Robert tends to look on the bright side, and takes great joy in the simple things of like such as wine, and women. He is a bit rambunctious, and often impatient in sticky situations... such as waiting for news on what happened to someone in a hospital, and the like. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-11-03, 03:20 PM | Cool, Drindin. Now, Gene Kynes: your char's name, allignment, and race. I can guess he's human, right? But name and allignment will remain enigma untill you tell me. That last thing and we can start, now having enough people |
| Gene_Kynes09-11-03, 07:41 PM | Darvin Eventide Chaotic Good Taa-daa. And...Darvin's CHA is pretty high, so he'd much rather Sune. ;) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-12-03, 03:40 AM | Originally posted by Gene_Kynes The tattoo depiction of a harlequin mask rests on his chest, inked in black and white (symbol of Olidammra). Why would a sunite have the holy symbol of Olydamara tattered on his skin? Anyway, so our cahracters are as following: Ambassador Mokhicara of Gmitmold {duergar aristocrat/psion} Harold Crestdragon {dwarven fighter/protector} Darvin Eventide {human rogue/OotCR} Ramoth {perm dragon... classless, i suppose} Robert {halfogre priest of Olidamara} Ok, i'll try bringing all of you together as soon as possible. The IC thread is "Sandstorm (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98356)" While we're at it, Snee, Kynes and Drindin : Tell me what weapons your chars have. Myranthor: I suppose Harold is equipped with everything his family preserved since the event of the armor's discovery, right? And that weapon, i suppose is a flail, right? |
| Harold Crestdragon09-12-03, 06:44 AM | The family only could preserve the armor, but its soldiers use the spiked chain in memory of what they found. |
| Drindin09-12-03, 09:00 AM | A big mace. Big enough, humans need to use two hands, he only needs to use one. |
| Ramoth09-12-03, 10:37 AM | :D Like it so far, your start is well described. I like a story with direction! :D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-13-03, 04:18 PM | Originally posted by Ramoth :D Like it so far, your start is well described. I like a story with direction! :D Thancue, my pernmanent friend! :) |

| Ramoth09-13-03, 08:23 PM | :ayyyy!: :looloo: :heehee Opps, forgot to mention her travel bag. Basically all she carries in it is a canten for water, small foodstuffs, a book and pen. Yes a pen is possible considering the planet she is from has the technology to make them. Hmm.. I just relized that bags probaly a little heavy...Does that make it double as a weapon :smirk: Ramoth {perm dragon... classless, i suppose} Umm...Dragon is a class all it's own  Really she can do a little of many things. She can sneak around, but has to work very hard at it. She knows some magic, basically can save her own hide, sometimes other people, transform herself, and produce small things like fire. She knows some fighting, in dragon form mostly but can protect herself in human form if need be. Ok? Ok! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-14-03, 06:34 AM | It's ok, inkpens are uncommon, but relatively popular on Abier-Toril and on parts of the... other places you might end up in. She can try using her bag as a sape. Well, a dragon is still a race. I would describe her class as bard, but such rigid categorization isn't nessecery. Oh, and i really like that "http://boards1.wizards.com/images/smilies/looloo.gif" emoticon! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-15-03, 06:03 PM | Gene Kynes, tell me, who are Darvin's "taboo sector"? |
| Gene_Kynes09-15-03, 06:47 PM | Hmm? The poor, and orphans. Occaisonally it's females, but he's met too many female assassins to take that as an actual sector. Almost...Robin Hood-ish, ah? ;) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-16-03, 07:27 AM | NM Wench, sorry to bring this up, but i get comments from the other players about your posts being not fully legible. Maybe you wanna send me before posting, so i could edit the punctuation and send you back for your aproval? I personally undersand you pretty well, but after all i've a 4 years' experience with you... eventhough three of these were verbal comunication, not written one |
| N.Y. Wench09-16-03, 04:31 PM | Tell you what. We'll both enter Conferee when we're both online (i checked our posts for posting times and we often post in the same hours) and i send you my post so you can edit it and send it back then we discuss it and when we have a final version i post it. Ok? Conferee is just so more convenient than email |
| N.Y. Wench09-18-03, 05:05 PM | I ponder where the sod is Drindin... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-18-03, 06:51 PM | Originally posted by N.Y. Wench I ponder where the sod is Drindin... uhhh... look, it's nice you're coppying my stile, but you don't have to be all scary about it... Anyway, i too hope Drindin will appear soon, cause there is a turn this plot is going to take now, and for that i need Robert to participate. Everyone agreed to teh terms here: you don't leave the thread in the middle. So i expect Drindin to post. Oh, and Dante: If you insist on creating seporate acounts for every char, but can't make sure you use the right one each time without confusing them, atleast say inside the posts that it's Darvin we're talking about, and not Duke Belladonna. And one more thing. I know it looked like only a suggestion, when i wrote it inside the IC post, but i actually kind of INSIST that all four of us wait for Drindin {robert's player} and Myranthor {Harold's player} before posting anymore ic. |
| Drindin09-18-03, 07:15 PM | Don't go sayin' I don't have an excuse just because I've got high-speed! I do too! You're the one who didn't post for two days! Any hoo, I now have a post up... I just hope these peoples aren't to quick to act..... or someone might end up with a face full of mace-blade... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-18-03, 07:36 PM | Originally posted by Drindin ... or someone might end up with a face full of mace-blade... Dlaeh gives the halfogre a terrified, innocent look with huge puppy eyes. | Gene_Kynes09-18-03, 07:42 PM | Er...sorry! I...kinda...was hasty with posts, DM! Next time...I promise I won't be so post-happy. Promise. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-18-03, 07:45 PM | ah-ahm... Gene turns back, and raises his voice, rather than yells. well, if it was Darvin, i wouldn't even do as much as raise my voice, but seeing as it's Gene.... Ahhhhhhh! Ok, sorry, didn't wanna be cruel:smirk: |
| Gene_Kynes09-18-03, 08:01 PM | ...Blah. I need to learn Gene= Cruel Comment. Also, Hurricanes suck. Badly. I'm worried about windows being the root of all evil, seeing as it can perfectly slice me into little Dante-pieces. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-18-03, 08:33 PM | There's currently a hurricane where you're at? Wow... where do you live? If you hear something splatter, and then hear me screaming...then..er..sorry that I couldn't at least have the pleasure of meetin' your husband and kids, or running from a lich, or Dracolich, with you.I loved that! :pile: |
| Ramoth09-19-03, 01:24 PM | Hurrican Iseabel Is out to get us all!...Well Acctually it's only tropical storm Iseabel up in New York, but I know how Dante feels  Seriously, sorry Dante and I got post happy...We kinda end up online at the same time and get to roleplay interactions a little fast  . There..I caught up...now on with the show....Oh and Ny Wench I love you character...Ramoth absolutly hates her! |
| Duke Bellarosa09-19-03, 02:19 PM | I await your shoes. |
| Gene_Kynes09-19-03, 02:22 PM | Hehe. My bedroom window shattered, but I passed out on the couch.:) Right now, my friends up North are feeling her wrath. And thanks, Quath!:D I feel all cheerful now, just got offa work. Aand..I live in the United States, Pennslyvainnia. And N.Y. Wench...I love hating yer character, too. ;) |

Oh, and Snee: I love the way you play M.G. too! And the name Mokhicara is so cool i even mentioned it on the "Rude Names You Can Say Proudly" thread in Mature Thinktank... Oh, and for those whom neither of us explained, "Mokhi" = "My mind" or "My brain", and "Cara" = "Trouble"... so it's like "She Whose Mind Means Trouble":smirk: Beter than most of the names i myself compose in a similar way:D |
| Ramoth09-21-03, 10:43 AM | BEWARE THE SHOE! No really, I'm waiting for some one to make that smilie for me, but as soon as I have it, I'm sure some one will get it used on them *Cough* Myran *Cough* *Cough* Dante *Cough* But untill then beware the teaching smilie! :teach: |
| Gene_Kynes09-21-03, 01:12 PM | Bah. The teaching smilie is but a mere shadow of the shoe, clinging onto it's deadiler brother's reputation in hopes it has some intimidation factor. Anyway... You shot Dante. He weighs 159 pounds. However, you could only carry 100 pounds of food back to the wagon. |
| Ramoth09-21-03, 01:31 PM | *Takes 100pds back to wagon* *Heads for Plymoth Rock* Lol  Kindergarden Ruled! |
| Drindin09-21-03, 09:48 PM | Um... what exactly IS my smash line? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-21-03, 11:25 PM | "I wouldn't go there, unless you like illithids". It was said loudly enough for the laerti to hear, and to asume that you've found a possible way to get out of there. Seeing as they have already pretty much faced the fact that the caravan ain't comming back, they desided to have atleast a modest meal...:smirk: |
| Ramoth09-21-03, 11:27 PM | So your saying that running is not an option, we have to fight or they'll keep after us??? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-21-03, 11:36 PM | Originally posted by Ramoth running is not an option, we have to fight Huh? what made you think that!? There are 64 of them, and only 5, ok 6 of you. Yeah, i know these guies are CR 1-4 while you are high-levels, but still, how long can you stand your ground in such a position? |
| Ramoth09-21-03, 11:40 PM | I wasn't thinking of standing my ground, just taking out a few and running like Hell... I just wanted to make sure running was an option, and that these guys aren't going to follow us forever, cause then we'd have to stand and fight..... :D Oh and I'm still waiting on my shoe smilie for Gene! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-22-03, 12:03 AM | Answering to the IC thread's OOC question: yepp, these claw marks look somewhat reptilian. Like very large reptilian, even... actually somewhat like your own! Now about the running. The tunnel isn't very wide, so should you run there, they won't be able to make target practice for the whole class, like they are doing right now. On the other hand, you can't be sure this is better than trying to breake throgh them, regarding what Robert told you. Then again, Rober is a priest of Olidamara mind flayers are sodding amusing for these folks. Also, it's hard to ignore tha fact that while the Laerti shoot most of you, the only one who has fool cover {Harold} is also the only one who's completely surrounded... and i don't think he can singlehandedly dispose of 15 stingtails and 48 laerti... |
| Ramoth09-22-03, 12:05 AM | Ok, so We should try to get Harold out, then maybe run for it?? Gottcha boss ;) Lol, seriously, thats my suggeation, any others??? |
| Ramoth09-22-03, 09:50 AM | Umm....why did Mokhicara call Ramoth Sorceress? Just asking.... :D :D :D :D |
| Harold Crestdragon09-22-03, 05:15 PM | Sine when are we using OOC threads to debate fighting strategies?? I mean, no offense to anyone, but it kinda destroys the *hope* of having people doing completely incoherent things because they thought of compeltely opposed plans. And that's where all the fun lies ;) |
| Drindin09-22-03, 11:56 PM | Did robert manage to summon up the chaos beasts? |
| Gene_Kynes09-23-03, 12:09 AM | You have reached Plymouth Rock. Would you like to look around? (y/n) Out of curiousity, Improved, or normal, invisibility? :P |
| Ramoth09-23-03, 08:23 AM | *Y* *Looking around Plymoth rock you see some headstones  * Now Myran, since when is it a crime to ask questions?? I never said you had to answer I just asked :P . At least I'm not surounded by a bunch of lizard people!:P Ok, enough childishness from me. I'll REFRAIN from asking questions. |
| Drindin09-23-03, 06:01 PM | Originally posted by Gene_Kynes You have reached Plymouth Rock. Would you like to look around? (y/n) Out of curiousity, Improved, or normal, invisibility? :P Normal. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-24-03, 08:40 AM | My IC reply will come later today, sorry for the unannounced goneness. What ws this stuff about Plymuth Rock? Snee, why are you never around anymore? Dante, why does Darvin commit a suicide in the second post? Originally posted by Gene_Kynes Darvin rumages through his pack again...bringing out a sickly red substance trapped in fine glass. Taking two of these containers out...he then throws them at the lizard-like creatures centre (that's what he aims for, at least) in hopes of breaking up formation from within the cave, before drawing his already-loaded light crossbow and firing at a parent. Dropping the ranged weapon, the Blade of the High Road is drawn, and Darvin waits in the cave, watching the lizard closest to the enterance.Several questions: 1}. What does the red souse do? 2}. Did you throw it at the Stingnails {aka "parents". Big ones, with scimitars or unarmed, around harold and infront of the laerti} or the laerti {lil ones, in a hemicircle blocking you from running away from the cave} 3}. Did you shoot a poisonous bolt or a normal one? |
| Drindin09-24-03, 09:49 AM | Originally posted by Drindin Did robert manage to summon up the chaos beasts? I don't know if you're slow or what, but... Eh-hem... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-25-03, 05:21 AM | I appologize before everyone in general and Robert... ugh i mean Drindin in particular, but before we can proceed, i must have Dante's answers to these four questions: 1}. What does the red souse do? 2}. Did you throw it at the Stingnails {aka "parents". Big ones, with scimitars or unarmed, around harold and infront of the laerti} or the Laerti {smaller, in a hemicircle blocking you from running away from the cave}? 3}. Did Darvin shoot a poisonous bolt or a normal one? 4}. What are the effects of Lotus Lip poison? {the closest thing i found was Black Lotus extract.} |
| Gene_Kynes09-25-03, 07:04 AM | 1. Red souse?! Wuzzat? 2. Laerti. 3. Normal bolt 4. Lotus Lip is the name of a magic item I kinda made. It's just a +1 Bolt with Black Lotus Extract. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-25-03, 09:46 AM | 1 The two containers of red stuff you threw at {i think} the Stingtails 2 Ok {[rolls a critical]} oooh, that HAD to hurt! 3 Ok, some lizzard just got lucky {as much as a person with a bolt in the eye can be considered lucky} 4 Got it. Now just explain about Teh Red 8***, {what it is, what it does, and where you aimed it}, and we can continue. My favored ogrespawn is geting impatient here... |
| Ramoth09-27-03, 07:27 AM | http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/ShoeThrowLong.txt WAKE UP GENE! :smirk: Guess What? I finally got my shoe throwing smilies! muaahh *Evil laughter fades into darkness* |
| Drindin09-27-03, 10:36 AM | Dude! Where'd you get/make that! I want one! |
| Gene_Kynes09-27-03, 08:48 PM | It's Alchemist's Fire, a substance...that when exposed to air, goes boom. Darvin unwittingly keeps it in fragile bottles... And she got it at the Ultimate Smile Traffiking Thread, in art gallery...myeh. *rubs head.* |
| Ramoth09-28-03, 12:05 PM | The extremely talented Bacon and Eggs made it for me. And this http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/ShoeThrowShort2.txt And this http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/ShoeSmack2.txt But I like this http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/ShoeThrowLong2.txt The best! And As Dante said, you can find this and many more in Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1434279#post1434279) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-28-03, 04:46 PM | Had a greate jewish new year's day {aka "rosh ha shana"} with lots of fluffy friends {wish we could take Myranthor with us}, and am back from there now. :D Carpe DM! Oh, and Rammoth, your shoe-throwing tactics are formidable...:smirk: |
| Drindin09-28-03, 10:08 PM | *clears his throat,* DID ROBERT MANAGE TO SUMMON UP FIVE CHAOS BEASTS? Heheh. :D :P I have three smileys of my own aswell. :D http://www.geocities.com/leaves_or/redtoasted.txt http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/NewHydra.txt http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/BlueLightning.txt |
| Gene_Kynes09-28-03, 10:14 PM | Oh, oh yeah?! Well...so do I! http://boards1.wizards.com/images/avatars/OrientalA-ScorpionClan.gif! Take dat. |
| kulideb09-29-03, 07:56 AM | Hello Quathmor, I'm very new at this, but I would like to join in. First of all I know this might sound silly but is this story staying here on the boards, only I dont quite think I'm ready to play an other way. If you will let me join I promise not to leave (with out good reason) and I will try and make sense! I'm an elf maiden, from evereska but i follow mask, can tell you more later if you are intrested.:) |
| Gene_Kynes09-29-03, 04:43 PM | Hehe, I'll vouch for Kulideb! Let 'er in, Quath! |
| N.Y. Wench09-30-03, 01:02 PM | STUPID little Streetcat!!! How LONG are you going to MAKE us WAIT? Really, the forum is back up, and you said your responce is ready, so just post it already!!! And don't you tell me you didn't notice the boards are back on, because i saw you playing this perverted thing in the guild war! And thanks to all the people who said they like my badas char And about the "Sorceress": Mokhi uses this term for anything with divine or draconic blood, and she thought Ramoth is one of the Seven Sisters because of how she looks. That means divine blood (Mystril/Mystra) so she called her a sorceress. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-30-03, 03:16 PM | I'm really sorry, i am indeed slow when sick. The boards went down when i was already clicking Submit, and staied this way for quite some time. Then i went to sleep. Today it took me an hour to fix my own typoes  Well, Drindin.... Robert daffinately managed to summon something! Only that Olidamara isn't around, and the one who takes care of Robert in Realmspace is sending him hints:angel:. Don't worry, his identity will become clear on some stage of the adventure... till then, you'll have many more hints. Kulideb: You're wellcome here. Gimme the basics about your char {like the others did in this thread's begining}, and i'll find a place for you to join. I'll most probably give you out some details via privat messages {so check them periodically} or icq, if you have icq. |
| kulideb09-30-03, 04:06 PM | OH THANK YOU! I would like to be an elf, I was going to be a strong character, but you have quite a few already, so how about a girly one, follower of sune? not sure why she would be in the cave, may be already caught by lizarard men? I printed off the story so far and read at work so I'm up to speed on who every one is and the story so far, (slow day at work!) not up to speed on icq but you can leave any notes for me here or we can sort some thing out. If Girly I will be: Laurie half elf, half human, bit spoilt, but heart of gold, can fight like a wild cat when cornered, Will log in here tomorrow to see what you think and for any thoughts, Any way glad to hear you are well again:bigeyes: I kinda like the gig eyes just need one thats happy! Oh day off wed so I can check through out the day. :) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai09-30-03, 06:18 PM | Ugh... your char won't appear in the cave, she'll be met by the party in a somewhat different place; I'll give you the details in private messages. These are Asabi {aka Laerti} btw, not Lizardmen. Oh, and tell me Laurie's class and allignment, please. A little description of her appearance would be nice too. Dante, plese keep ooc posts inside the ooc thread {id est HERE!}. Mokhicara's "Flux" went awry earlier {causing her to collapse, and not working quite the way she planned it} and all of you are under its effect {inclueding herself}. This has some subtle effects, one of which is the redirection of Robert's invisibility onto himself, instead of Darvin. The characters don't know it, but most spells cast on a willing subject thereafter, will be redirected onto the caster, untill Mokhicara manifests a different power {or the same Flux, but successfully}, or gets knocked out. Normally i wouldn't tell it to you, but since Mokhicara's Flux is a homebrewed thingy of NYW's, i suppose it'll be fair to tell you. I won't tell the other effects of its failure though, since they are much less likely to come into play anytime soon, and untill theyr would, i trust Mokhicara would snap out of it by either using psionios again, or getting hit really hard on the head. Drindin... just out of curiosity, how does a Celestial Dire Lion remind Robert a wingless dragon? |
| kulideb10-01-03, 03:57 AM | name; Laurie, 5ft tall, long chestnut hair, usually tired back with a red ribbon, big brown eyes. Clothing; leather leggins, white blouse, leather jacket, weapons;silken sash(whip) and a dagger Shes a half elf, her father is a merchant in sembia, but he has just re married and the new step mom wants her out the way, so she was sent off with a caravan to learn about the family business (wine) which she doesnt known a lot about. This is her first time out of Sembia and she doesnt really want to go back (hopless at business would end up married to some one she doesnt like.) Alignment;chaotic good, follows Sune (most of the time) A bit girly (but not giggly) will muck in even if she doesnt quite know what shes doing. How does that sound? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-01-03, 08:53 AM | The party turns out to be a whole bunch of CG... three out of six are CG {ok, 4/7 if you count the bedine npc}, hehe. I should like it, i'm CG myself {ooc}. You still haven't told me her character class, though. |
| kulideb10-01-03, 09:02 AM | OOps sorry! I thought she might get a little bored in Sembia and may be do a little breaking and entering, but only from rich folks, just for fun and will only take pretty things in honor of Sune, another reason for her father to want her out the way?:D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-01-03, 09:16 AM | So should we count it as rogue? that would be doubleclassing {Darvin is a rogue}, but it can still work. |
| kulideb10-01-03, 09:19 AM | Sure? I can change her to some thing else, if you have any in mind just let me know:D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-01-03, 09:33 AM | Well, let's see... currently we have: a fighter/protector, a rogue/outlaw, a low-level psionicist {/mid-level noblewoman} with some very usefull items, a priest of Olidamara, a classless dragon {currently the only one with arcane ability}, and a low-level ranger {npc}. I think the best would be a wizard of some sort, either a school-specialist, a mage, or a sorceress. |
| kulideb10-01-03, 09:38 AM | A low level mage would be fine ,I might need a bit of help with spells (using the right level and so on) Also I got your message my entry into the story sounds fine.:) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-01-03, 10:39 AM | No need in being low-level. You can well be mid-level or high level, seeing as two of the chars have prestige classes, and one is a dragon. The only reason Mokhicara's level as a psionicist is low, is because she isn't exactly an adventurer, she was only tought to be a diplomat. She has three magical items, one of which is verrrry powerfull, to balance it and make her as powerfull as any other member of the party. |
| kulideb10-01-03, 10:54 AM | Sounds better! I will get reading up on mages tonight, do I need to tell of any magic items (wand, ring so on) not to many, any ideas on some useful ones? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-01-03, 12:45 PM | If you have any magical items, tell me so in private messages. This also goes to Dante {please pm me the stats for Darvin's sword}, Melandor {if Ramoth has any magical items, pm me about them}, and Drindin {pm me about any magical items Robert has}. About the two protagonists, i already know theyr magical equipment... sorta. |
| Myranthor10-01-03, 05:33 PM | * For kulideb who may ignore it : I'm also Harold's player. I read what you want to do as your new character, and a little idea jumped in my head. If you want to be an arcane caster, and if you like sune,s dogma, you may as well try to follow Hanali Celanil instead. She is the elven goddess of love, art, beauty, and artistic magic, the which brings us to the communion of beauty and arcane art mingled together. I would also suggest you sorceror instead of wizard, if only to boost your charisma (as should any follower of sune, Hanali or goddesses of beauty). Anyway, it's just a suggestion.:D See you! |
| kulideb10-02-03, 05:13 AM | Wished I read myranthors comment before working out who I am! I like the idea of Hananli, but I dont know a lot about arcane magic any way here is the mark 2 Laurie (and I'm always glad of any surgestions.) 5ft tall, very pale skin, long chestnut hair (down to elbow length) brown eyes, pionted ears, half elf half human. Clothing: tight brown leather leggins(sorry carnt use the word pants as I keep thinking of underwear!) Calf length soft leather boots, fitted white shirt tucked into leggins. Red sash at waist. Brown cloak with a bright red linning, pinned wirh a badge of a red flower (hanali?) Follows Hanali and sune. (due to half half heritage) is a high level wizzard mainly dealing in Enchantment/charm school of magic, chaotic good alignment Weapon: red sash (whip, sune) and a rapier all items are well made oh shes also got a bag Father Sembian merchant in wine, just got remarried so Laurie goes out with the caravan (new important customer) Due to the trouble between the elves and humans Laurie has had to stay inside or at the country house so was glad to go with the caravan for a change of setting. Belives love will solve every thing and that beauty can be on the inside as well as the out side. I'm not very good (well hopless really) at the point system so any numbers I will need help with. Will send a note to Quathmoir about spells , magic items if hes empted his mail box.:D |
| Harold Crestdragon10-02-03, 07:26 PM | out of curiosity : What are her forbidden schools? |
| kulideb10-03-03, 05:27 AM | Hi! Harold, Illousions the only class thats banned, I think, I'm only going by the info from the neverwinter nights PC game,:) |
| kulideb10-05-03, 06:08 AM | Hi to make things a little easier on my self shes going to be a General mage! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-05-03, 08:07 AM | If she's an enchantress, then her forbidden screwls are Invocation and Necromancy. Is that just me, or is the Enchantress class drawing uppon women of sertain grammatical qualities? |
| Ramoth10-05-03, 01:17 PM | Ok, just a little clearing up for my post. Yes she can draw energy from Robert even though she does not know he's there, the energy draw basically grabs anything unless she directs it not to. Yes dead bodies can still give off energy, and rocks too. The description of what she's doing is just the basics of Will & Word, it gets much more complecated, but I can't describe it the way the Author of the BelGuard series did so I won't even attempt it! And whichever way you decide it goes DM, I'll delete the other opption. |
| kulideb10-05-03, 02:10 PM | Well, I have now found my dictionary! and a Theasaurus! :D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-05-03, 07:05 PM | Drindin and Ramoth: Darvin is alive, just unconceous. His pulse and breath are both... well, they both exist, if nothing else {saying they're "normal" or even "stable" would be a rude exhaguration}. Ramoth, who is Roger? So both of you should now remove the "If he's freaking DEAD" options. Once Myranthor and NYW post, i'll reply IC showing what happens next :smirk: |
| Ramoth10-05-03, 07:15 PM | Gimme a break I was doing a lot a posting at that time |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-06-03, 06:53 AM | Wha? it's not like i'm frowning anyone, i'm just saying he's alive, and you can now both remove "If Darvin is lionfood" options from your last posts. Please remove it before you post the new actions. |
| N.Y. Wench10-07-03, 02:54 PM | Allof a suddenly everyone seem so infuenced by Mokhi': she were the only one with a morbid comment about Darvin and the lion:) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-07-03, 02:58 PM | Hey Snee, what's with the e-mail silence? I can't reach you anymore via email {or atleast you don't respond to emails}, and my msn is still on a strike... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-09-03, 10:52 AM | Ah-ahm... Myranthor? We're kinda all waiting for you... |
| kulideb10-09-03, 10:55 AM | I wondered what the hold up was.. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-09-03, 11:43 AM | Oiovoronda read your thoughts, and told me, so i answered before you asked.:D Basically, i let every player respond atleast once before proceeding. Conversations, and other things that don't require DMing aprovation, allow players to post much more than once betuin DMing entries. The new semi-NPC, plaied by my misterious friend, will probablн miss "turns" once in a while. |
| Myranthor10-10-03, 08:58 AM | Sorry |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-10-03, 09:19 AM | Wheeeee! he's back!:D *runs to hugg Myrrr* Btw, Ramoth's player... which is your OOC nick? I thought it was Melandor, but now i saw you DMing as Ruthia... so is Ruthia your OOC nick? |
| N.Y. Wench10-10-03, 09:16 PM | excuse me i was changing 5 passwords. And no Kulideb isn't my ghost! bytheway is the aslan-sort crature just stand there not doing nada? |
| Drindin10-10-03, 10:53 PM | You can just call me... um... well, ask Myranthor that one ((Hint: MSN name)) |
| N.Y. Wench10-10-03, 11:26 PM | I thought your outtachar player name was Drindin and Robert was the char. Only Kulideb and Ramoth are unclear about theyr o.o.c. nicknames |
| Drindin10-10-03, 11:55 PM | Well, I respond to both Drindin and Bendio. |
| kulideb10-11-03, 08:32 AM | My playername is Kulideb she is also a CH in some of the other threads here the CH is Laurie a mage, but please be gentle with me I'm fairly new at all this and still getting to grips with spells (and spelling!) and I dont mind, in fact I would quite welcome any tips on spells and casting. |
| ruthia10-11-03, 09:07 AM | :P :P :P Ahh it's so nice to be unknown....... Acctaully None of my char names is my real name, I don't use it online. As for my MSN name, I go by ViscoseMonkey, but all my friends call me Vissy ;) . |
| Ramoth10-11-03, 09:42 AM | Robert shrugged. "NOt sure why, either. Looks like things is different here." Drindin motioned to the tiger. "I was aimin' for chaos beasts, instead I got the lion thing. Kinda cool, though. At least it could drag you in here without turnin' you into an amorphic blob." Umm Drindin??? http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/ShoeSmack2.txt You pulled a Gene! |
| Drindin10-11-03, 12:07 PM | Through the shoe!! http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/BlueLightning.txt I'm REALLY in for it now. http://www.geocities.com/leaves_or/redtoasted.txt |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-11-03, 12:12 PM | I didn't mean a real name, just an OOC one. Like my chars are Noulminurr, Atlas, Seasutuil, Aklaide, Zincaller, ChanTing, et c. But my OOC name is Dlaeh. It doesn't mean that i'm called "Dlaeh" irl... So how would you rather be addressed ooc? Drindin, the idea was that you click the "edit" and change the Drindin to a Robert. Because i like the latter much more than the former, if nothing else. Oh, and Snee: Kulideb's OOC name is Kulideb, i think. Many people are called after theyr favorit char, or vice versa; Myranthor, for example, is an elven mage, whereas Drindin is a human priest of Wee-Jas. I myslef used to call myself Noulminurr Issareill for a short time, when i only just entered the world of roleplaying via my 1st gf. |
| Drindin10-11-03, 12:49 PM | I did. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-11-03, 06:52 PM | Dante... Red Hare is standing next to the camel, pondering what the sod she's doing in the underdark. The "crushlanded" {as Snee said} horse is that other one. Remember you took two from the bedine? He hasd two, remember? And later there's this nice posting where Red Hare and the camel are led carefully down the tunnel, but the other horse kinda jumped headfirst... Pay attention, people... Originally posted by Gene_Kynes "Heh. Thank Sune, Sharess, an' Olidammra for your lil'magic problem. I'd rather not be all...blobby..."This might make me look stupid, but since i'm the DM, i'm already stupid by defaul, so i'll admit: I didn't get it. |
| Gene_Kynes10-11-03, 08:49 PM | Sune: Goddess of Beauty, in faerun. Darvin deeply respects things of beauty, mostly due to his art-intensive upbringing. Sharess: Goddess of felines, sensuality, and grace. Darvin kinda likes cats, sensuality when it isn't meaningless, and grace intrigues him when it's inhuman...since anyone who's seen a Computer-Generated elf in motion will know that they make humans look jerky. Olidammra: Do I need to explain this one? Heh...anyway, Darvin has no set god or goddess. He respects many dieties...and basically he changes the names of the god or goddess and number of gods or goddesses he uses in the exclaimation each time. And Chaos beasts...when they touch something, it turns into a kinda "sludge of entropy". I think that's what the Monster Manual said... And hiya, Laura! |

| Drindin10-13-03, 12:11 PM | That bedine guy? GIVE THE MAN A NAME! Unless.... (GASP) He's a Red Shirt! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-15-03, 02:18 PM | What's a Red Shirt? Anyway, he has a name. None of your chars bothered to ask it, though. Dante, please change your post so that it makes more sence. Red Hare is uninjured, and i can't see how Darvin would mistake the other horse for his own. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-17-03, 08:46 AM | Once again i am forced to doublepost in order to gain your attention. Why does no one exept Kulideb post? Did Laurie cast some epic level spell to instantly kill the lot of your chars without me knowing? |
| Drindin10-17-03, 09:26 AM | I will be gone from today until monday... Tell the others in Wand'rings that they need to have converstations and just assume they occur in this day of travel... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-17-03, 01:55 PM | i will. Meanwhile Myranthor, Dante, Snee, and the Dragonlady {with no OOC nick im'a call her thus} are, ofcourse, strongly incouraged to post... as well as My Misterious Friend:smirk: |
| kulideb10-17-03, 03:11 PM | I knew messing with magic would end in trouble! |

| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-17-03, 07:53 PM | Drindin: Nahh, what Mokhicara did to him will keep him from dying... he can't leave her side, even in order to die. If he dies, he makes a fort save, and returns to 0hp if successfull. If failed, he rises as a ghost and still follows her. Kulideb: Ramoth's "messing with magic" {or rather with energy} actually freed your char... hihi, she drew energy right out of the barrier you were held by... but this also made the cieling snap |
| Myranthor10-17-03, 07:58 PM | the fact is, Harold et a nwcomer, and is not the one supposed to take care of the relations part. He,s waiting for mokhi. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-17-03, 08:24 PM | Ok then, Snee? Dragonlady? Dante? | N.Y. Wench10-17-03, 10:55 PM | Why do you keep calling me "Sneech" on the forum? Just to show you know me in life? At least once in a while call me N.Y. or something... just not like Agudo does |
| Ramoth10-18-03, 09:37 AM | Just call me Vis, it's easier the "Dragonlady". Sorry I haven' posted, my whole family got sick and I had to work which is why I have not posted. I'm catching up today. |

| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-18-03, 02:57 PM | Originally posted by Ramoth She first checks the tunnel nearest to her, but feels strangely drawn to tunnel #4. She looks into it relizing that this is one of the two tunnels where the most energy came from. The second was where Laurie now stands. Then the ambassador issues another set of orders. Rolling her eyes, Ramoth decides to follow orders this once, mostly because she was interested in the scroll. As she starts to walk over she notices something moving on the floor... It's a coin, rolling on it's own, apperantly towards her. Ramoth watches it, fasinated that it seems to keep moving on it's own...... ((She is now standing with her back to tunnel 4 watching the coin come towards her.)) So does she enter any of the tunnels? |
| ruthia10-18-03, 03:15 PM | She started to, but then the ambassador said something about a scroll and she turned away...Now she looks at the coin. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-18-03, 07:24 PM | Kulideb, a roleplaying advice: Try avoiding indirect speech. Instead of saying what Laurie tells them about, have laurie actually speak to them about it. This gives a more realistic feeling, and shows your character's nature/style more deeply and Dante, a reminder: I'm sorry to be annoying, but you still haven't edited that post about Darvin mistaking an unfamiliar sodding horse ofr Red Hare... Also, for incase you guies forgot, the coin only glows to Robert, and a little to Darvin. The others only see it's rolling by itself. Originally posted by Drindin He looked at the cave with the phosphoresent mold. "Does any one know what's down there?" All of the caves exept #3 have it. Ok, where the sod are Myranthor and Dante? |
| Harold Crestdragon10-24-03, 10:16 AM | Dante lost his internet connection. Myself, I had another pressing matters to attend...But i'm back for a few days |
| Ramoth10-26-03, 11:15 PM | F.Y.I Ramoth REALLY hates being called Sorceress. It's a dragon thing. |
| kulideb10-27-03, 03:34 PM | I guess as Dante carnt post for a while we will drag his ch with us? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-28-03, 12:23 AM | Meanwhile it doesn't change much, since no one really bothers taking action, anyway... I'd really like to know how long-term his absence is, since i do hope that one day you guies will actually try doing something, and it'll be a pitty if Darvin won't be there to do it with you. |
| kulideb10-28-03, 03:24 AM | He thinks about a month.:D |
| Ramoth10-28-03, 09:51 AM | Dante will basically be posting when he can from where he can. He told me he can use some computures at school for short periods of time and he's going to try and type up some post at home first, then bring to school on a disk so he can post more in less time. He's trying to get people to NPC his characters till he can catch up. Any volenteers? If not I can try. though don't expect elaberate post from me. I'll just do the basic actions. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-28-03, 04:39 PM | Meanwhile his rate is realtively fine... in most threads. It'll be cool if he posted here too on ocasion. If Darvin's actions will be required, i'll ask either Vicouse, or anyone who thinks he can do better, post in his stead. |
| N.Y. Wench10-29-03, 12:22 AM | It's a FRCS thing streetcat explained me. Right, the godess of magic has mortal doughters? And they all look kinda like Ramoth looks, and people whos gramma or auntie or something was a god are usually sorcerers so Mokhicara heard this "7 Sisters" legend and thinks Ramoth is something like them. But now she'll call Ramoth by her name even if she pronounces it real lousy;) |
| ThePreacher11-01-03, 02:49 PM | Wassup? Anyways, I'll try and keep this short, this is my char: A Bard/Ranger Who persecuets womanisers (Women abusers) and generally, Justice. I'm Lawful good. My Background is foggy, so to say. No one really knows where I came from, except me, and that - I keep to myself for now. In general, my character is good natured, good hearted, loves beautiful ladies, and always ready to risk his life for a damsel in distress. I like the composite bow, I call mine - "The messenger", and I have an "Keep it real" engarved on it, with medium elven script... Don't ask... I have my share of elven friends - being a ranger has it's benefits. My general appearence is: 180 cm tall, firmly body built, 25 years old. I have long bright hair, not blonde though... slightly more dark than that (Long means it falls on my shoulders). Green - grey eyes. And I have a ChainMail, with a strange black and white emblem on the chest (Will explain later). I also have a forest-green cape with a hood. In addition to the bow, I also carry a LongSword (Usually on my back). And on my chest (If one of you sexy ladies wanna take a look :D ) is a tattoo, saying: "Thug 4 Life". That's about it, I think. I Trust you will take care of the rest, Dlaeh. |
| kulideb11-01-03, 03:23 PM | Welcome Preacher:angel: |
| kulideb11-01-03, 03:23 PM | So when will you join us? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-01-03, 05:46 PM | A few corrections: If i'm not mistaken, he's a Human, Bard 5/Ranger 9/Vigilante 2. The tatoo is probably written in either Orcan, or some similar "low-culture" languege. Btw, tell us {or me, at least} the char's real name. As to joining, he's introduced IC in my next major DMing entry, which will take place as soon as Myranthor {ah-ahm!} tells us what Harold does. He's been kinda passive recently, even ignored Mokhi's "request". I gonna post now, cause Preach is eager to get down to business, but before my nxt entry i'll most daffinately wait till Myranthor can post. Harold is being dragged along here, and i'm not liking this; he's one of the protagonists, after all, you know. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-03-03, 06:16 AM | I'm forced to doublepost again, to remind you that you're supposd to make sence. Drindin, tunnel #3 leads up. You already walked it after you woke up, and then you came back through it with the others. You KNOW it leads to the cave where you just came from, where you fought the asabi! How can you walk DOWN a tunnel that leads UP and wonder what's in the end of a tunnel, if you JUST CAME from the other end of it?! Please edit all of it to make sence. Also, i remind everyone that "option texts", if you fel you have to use it, should atleas be edited after you know which part of it is relevant. |
| kulideb11-03-03, 06:20 AM | i know Myranthor has been busy with exams, so hopefully he will be back soon:) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-04-03, 04:05 AM | Aight, i understand we need to slow down for Myr and Dante, {i said it myself, up there} but it doesn't mean that those who DO post should be all limbo-happy... What's with Snee's silence, btw? |
| N.Y. Wench11-06-03, 06:28 PM | Originally posted by Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai I'm forced to doublepost again, to remind you that you're supposd to make sence. Drindin, tunnel #3 leads up. Do the two lions that got killed upstairs now follow us as undead or something? Restless Prey template lions? lol! And about me being away i told you: i'm trying to earn a raise so i'm taking extra hours whenever the man asks someone to volunteer for extra hours |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-07-03, 02:12 AM | Fmm, i actually overlooked that one. Anyway, now he fixed it, so it's all good.:) *huggs Drindin* I still, however expect Vicouse to edit the option-text on page 6, and in the @^%&!*# time, remind Dante to edit the Red Hare reference on page 5. {Yes, i know i'm annoying, but you knew it from this thread's begining, so...} Oh, and Preacha, i still need your char's birthname, and i also think i lost his stats, so tell 'em to me again. |
| Ramoth11-07-03, 09:23 AM | I all I have to say. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-07-03, 09:34 AM | I would rather have a more... constructive eyerolling. If you think something i do is wrong for the campaign, please tell me and i'll see if i can change it; but showing bitterness without really saying anything particular is... welll... pretty useless, frankly. |
| Ramoth11-07-03, 09:44 AM | Don't make me stick my tongue out! It's not bitterness towards you and I'm sorry you take it that way. It's more of frustration towards me because I never remeber to fix things. I tell myself "Hey Vis, when you get online today change that stupid post" then I get online and promtly forget to do it. Thats what having kids has done for me, isn't it great? I have absolutly no short term memory. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-07-03, 10:13 AM | *Dlaeh huggs Vis warmly* I feel you, got similar problems myself;) |
| ThePreacher11-07-03, 10:38 AM | I'll contact u in the icq about the stats and name. |
| kulideb11-07-03, 04:13 PM | I think you lose a brain cell for every child you have..emm two children...EKK I have no brains left! |
| N.Y. Wench11-08-03, 02:39 PM | So our beloved Dungeon Master should acording to my calculations have minus one braincell!!! |
| Drindin11-09-03, 09:57 PM | My name is Ben. I fix things. And then break them. And fix them again. It's an ongoing cycle of break-fix and fix-break. It never ends. And it shall not end until the world is consumed in it's own evil. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-10-03, 07:49 AM | Preach: My icq is on strike, it won't run. Use PMs or email instead. Kuli: You mean each of the parrents looses one cell for every child? Two for each child ust doesn't seem worthwile. Sneech: Aha, and whose fault is that, my dear? Drindin: Am i missing something? |
| Ramoth11-16-03, 09:31 PM | I know that technically Ramoth could go "Between" and leave everyone behind right now, but she has a good reason not to. See going between from really close to the ground, or in this case underground, can result in a dragon being permantly in cased in stone *Shudders* On Pern, they found a young dragon and rider like that and it serves as a reminder to all dragons not to try it. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-16-03, 09:56 PM | Cooool! I was just going to ask you for an excuse not to let Ramoth do it, regardless of teh greate amounts of energy she gets there. Now you gave it to me without me asking, prrrrrrrrr! Thing is, there indeed are large energy sourcs there, and i want to let her use her natural form freely, without letting her use that perm travelin ability. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-16-03, 09:56 PM | . |
| Drindin11-16-03, 09:59 PM | :P Double post! Teeheee! |
| ruthia11-16-03, 10:57 PM | Sulay, in his turn, sees a perfectly travelsized silver dragon, small enough to fit into a backpack, looking down at him with curiosity from the shelf he is so desperate to reach. Travelsize dragons all are the rage across the plains this year, and they can even color corrdinate them to match your outfits! :D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-20-03, 11:15 PM | About the forcefield in the Preacher's cavern: It never went down. It devides the cell, holding the Preacher away from moving eastwards, and thus reaching the exit, which is at the eastern part of the cavern. It does NOT, however, block him from going UP, for if it WOULD do that, he wouldn't ever reach Ramoth! He never did pass the barrier, and thus his stuff was nevr on the barier's other side. Neither Ramoth nor the preachr ever passd the barrier, ok? ||................................&........................................ ..........................| ||................................&........................................ ..........................| ||...............................&........................................ ...........................| __ .............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||..............................&........................................ ............................| ||.....<>.....................&........................................ ............................| ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^| That's a scheme, not a plane, ok? The "&" thingies mark where the barrier passes, from the floor to the cieling. The "_" is the little tunnel's end, where Ramoth cam from. the "||" is the western wall, on which the Preacher was climbing. The "^^^^" mark the cave's floor. The "<>" marks where the Preacher left his stuff. Understand now? Next matter: Dante! You've been ignoring me in PM for quite some time. Would you atleast tell me here, wether you want the bloody maps or not? |

| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-26-03, 03:44 PM | Originally posted by ThePreacher I can sense dark energy... Makes no sence really, unless he's just trying to impress her. There is no "dark energy" to be felt there, so i assume this was just one of those Eventin-style comments like "I sence evil power..." whenever approaching anything that could possibly be a dungeon, and "Another kill done in the name of justice." after slaying some crazed goblin lackey or guard. Originally posted by ThePreacher And I think someone was sloppy enough to leave foot imprints on this dusty floor. They were stepping all over the cave's northern part, so theyr footspteps are all over the place. ((OOC: damn, can't remember which tunnel was that.)) If you would just look at the my responce before rushing to post your own, you'd see the answer to that. I said there was light coming out of the fourth tunnel. |

I think there's no reason to explain why, right? 2}. Whenever you feel like putting a seporate post just to say/ask something OOC, do it in THIS thread, which the OOC thread. Avoid doing this in the IC one. |
| ThePreacher11-26-03, 03:58 PM | lol. ok. But I'm the preacher here, remember? |
| ThePreacher11-26-03, 04:06 PM | Oh. and btw, y did u have to go and say all those smart ass remarks about my dear Eventin? He's not stupid, u know. Why can't I sense bad energy? I mean, I can do that in real life... so why can't an experienced half-elven ranger do that? Or did you mean to say that there is no evil in this cave? |
| Ramoth11-26-03, 08:24 PM | Ok, all you could possible see of her is that she is dressed in silver and about 5'7" tall. I didn't post it, but unless I give more detail it can be assumed her travler cloaks hood is up. You only know she's female because of her name and voice, not by looks. Just so everyone knows. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai11-27-03, 12:09 AM | Originally posted by ThePreacher there is no evil in this cave? Exactly. And Eventin isn't stupid, he's just overly iconic, and also sences evil energy where there simply is none. |
| ThePreacher11-27-03, 01:11 AM | LOL. ok. Thanks Ramoth. |
| kulideb11-28-03, 04:46 PM | Laurie kicks Gene in the ribbs! but Kulideb hugs him better!:D |
| Ramoth11-29-03, 11:31 AM | *Ramoth Smacks Darvin several times with a shoe before giving him one kick in the ribs as the rest of her family watches, laughing hystarically.* *Viscose sighs, goes over to Dante and says* "Don't expect me to be able to control my characters, Darvin said she could hit him. Maybe next time you'll watch what your chars are saying ;) " |
| Gene_Kynes11-29-03, 11:52 PM | You've been ignoring me in PM for quite some time. Would you atleast tell me here, wether you want the bloody maps or not? Remember when that messiah-guy in Christianity was ressurected? That was the last time I answered a PM. I'm just hesistant to do it, or rather...lazy. The maps would be nice, however. Also, if you wish to contact me; AOL is Olidammra, MSN is laughingrouge@msn.com Yes, I spelled that wrong. No, I'm not obsessed with a certain D&D diety. Well...maybe. Crap. |
| ThePreacher11-30-03, 12:51 AM | Now what the hell was that?... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-05-03, 01:02 PM | Maps sent. Dante, your last IC post was... well, i'm really not sure what you were talking there about. Could you please read the things that happened after your previous IC post, and then edit the last one to make it a little more relevant/understandable? Preach: what was what? |
| ThePreacher12-05-03, 01:16 PM | nm |
| N.Y. Wench12-08-03, 01:51 PM | Streetcat you bug and annoy me to pos and when i come to do that the topic is "frozen". And get lay off of Gene i don't answer pms eitehr so what? |
| Oturan12-09-03, 05:01 AM | A voice bellowed "Master, I have come to serve thee. *ruff!*" Just trying to cheer you up, dear DM. PS:And my controller is not that mysterious, 4 out of...eh... the rest of the players know who he is.*ruff* ;) |
| kulideb12-09-03, 05:58 AM | hehe! Laurie hugs Streetcat and pets Oturan.:D Please can you open the thread... |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-09-03, 02:40 PM | Thread reoppened, though i STILL expect Dante to fix his last post, AND the horse post! * Noulminurr, Chanting Mistery, Wingljay, Zincaller, Shaktah, Atlas and Oiovoronda each get a shpe and simulanteously throw them at Dante. Treemmouphindar leaps by, and kicks Dante with 5 different legs. {well, you did say 7 shoes and 5 kicks} * And in other news, i edited my last DMing entry, so please reread it. I added some things that i thought were obvious, but apperantly were not. Laurie and the Preacher recognize eachother. |
| kulideb12-19-03, 02:07 PM | Dante seems to have disapeared, can we just carry on with out him?May leave him behind to look after his horse. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-21-03, 10:21 AM | Arrrrrrrrrrgh for the eleventh ***********ing time, his horse was never ***********ing damaged! It was the other ***********ing horse!!!:hoppingma Well, we'll asume he's left behind, and then just let Oturan godmod on Darvin a little, since Dante already agreed to it. Now all we need is to finally get a post from Oturan  Also, i want posts form both Vicose and our beloved Wenchy before we continue. |
| kulideb12-21-03, 02:35 PM | /me hugs DM. I never said here was any thing wrong with his horse! By look after I ment feed it and brush it and keep it company. :D |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai12-21-03, 09:37 PM | /me huggs Debby Yeah, but Dante himself keeps ignoring that. He acts as if Red Haire was hurt instead of the other horse, and it makes no sence whatsoever. |
| Harold Crestdragon01-02-04, 08:22 AM | Laurie's spell reveals something. Disance is hard to determin, but somewhere within that tunnel is radiating evil. The tunnel itself, however {walls, air, et c} appear innocent. A detect evil spell has a 60 ft. range. Thus, if this is respected, Laurie knows it is within 60 ft. Mokhicara, Laurie, Robert, and Harold are all able to see to some extent into the left and the right waies, but the middle one remains equally dark for all - darkvision or not. Mokhi, the possession or absence of darkvision possessed by underground denizens is pretty much useless in that tunnel, I think. May the mighty DM either confirm or tell me to still my tongue? |
| ThePreacher01-02-04, 09:17 AM | I rather agree with Harold here, he pointed out some very logical observations. And btw... Mokhi didn't even ask me if I want her to cast any spell on me, and she did a lil bit of godmoding, while ignoring any resist spell and spell penalty checks. |
| Ramoth01-02-04, 09:27 AM | One point for everyone to know. While Ramoth lets her dragon senses take over she will react more and more dragon like. It won't be detecable at first, but the longer she does it the more her dragon nature takes over. Eventually her reactions will be pure dragon, not a trace of human in them. She may even revert to her dragon form at some point because of this. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-03-04, 03:54 AM | Myranthor: Correct in both points. What radiates that eeeeeviiiiil aura can be anywhere betuin one step from her to 60 feet from her. And none of you can see anything in that tunnel, wether using heat-based or light-based vision. Sneech: As mentioned above - darkvision doesn't help here, and Mokhicara surely knows it since hers doesn't either. That said, you should also wait for my confirmation before autodesiding that anything you tried to do actually worked. Preach: Saiag le khokhma - shtika. Mokhicara didn't cast any spells. As she told you all earlier {and is a cunning witch for putting it the way she did;)}, she has no skill nor tallent in magic. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-03-04, 03:54 AM | . |
| N.Y. Wench01-04-04, 08:05 AM | Yep i'm a cunning wench and so are all my chars! Sorry for forgetting to ask for confirmation i kinda went on so i'll change (Dreaded Key of Editing) the post now to make it fair. But i thought in 3e darkvision isn't heat based any more so what that "darkvision" can't take my heat based would still have achance against. Oh well my mistake :) |

| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-04-04, 11:26 AM | Aight, that's better. Well, not all that's true about 3e/3.5/whatever is true about MY freeform campaigns. I will most daffinately not force the 3e divine casting system, for example. Thread unfrozen, all to whom it concerns, change your posts acordingly. |
| N.Y. Wench01-08-04, 03:21 PM | Just a question why are there so many ooc only posts in the ic topic while the ooc topic gets no posts at all and constantly tries to run away into page 2 ? |
| ruthia01-08-04, 03:23 PM | I plan on promtely Deleting my OOC post as soon as the DM answers..... But I can't vouche for the others :D |
| ThePreacher01-08-04, 04:06 PM | Heeheeeheehee.... Me be lazy, me not want go all way back to ooc thread, so me writes in where me be standing in that time. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-24-04, 03:25 AM | Sorry for the absence. Shift happened, causing me to be away for quite a while; missed y'all and stuff. Anyway, now i'm back, and the show goes on :D |
| Harold Crestdragon01-28-04, 04:51 PM | Street, I'd like you to describe our entrance in the dark realms, if "madam" agrees on my method of going on. Thank you |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai01-30-04, 08:43 PM | Like that? Also, Myrrr and Sneech, i need to know wether the stout couple {i'm so gonna get punched for that} is harnessed to the lion in any way, or just following it manually {for lack of better word}. |
| N.Y. Wench02-01-04, 05:37 AM | I guess if i didnt post she ties herself i didn't but she's going with Harold's plan now so if he said they should she prolly grumbled and mumbled something about this stuff being below her or something but did |
| Ramoth02-01-04, 09:18 AM | Hey Street got some questions for you. 1: Could Ramoth hear what the Ambassador said? If so she can take a guess at who got hurt. 2: Can she see the lion's light yet or are they still to far up? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-01-04, 03:27 PM | Nope, still very far; I'll note it IC once you'll be able to see the Talissid-wannabe's aura. I'll also note whenever something they shout can be heard, i still keep Ramoth's dragon-heightened sences in mind, thus she'll probably be the first to both hear and see anything. Only shouts can be heard though, even by her, and even that only thanks to the cave's good acoustics and over silence. Yepp - falling down daffinately takes less time than carefully walking... but, once the current scene upstairs will be resolved, i'll throw a couple dice, and maybe someone's method of mobility will change against theyr will. About that, Myrrr, i still need your responce here, to the question in my prrevious post! |
| ruthia02-01-04, 03:53 PM | Was only asking because you wouldn't have responded to NY's post yet :D Thanks for answering my questions |
| ThePreacher02-01-04, 04:37 PM | Me wonders when is time to eat Hoomus again :bored: |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-01-04, 06:06 PM | Preach, i'm real sorry to be a witch, if you catch my drift, but give me one whacking reason, why this "hoomus" post should be considered anything but spam?:uh-huh: Vicose: No prob, that's what i'm here for :) Well, that and getting daydreamers like Darvin greusomely killed by colonies of piercers infront of a person who never saw a piercer in his life and is as likely as not to be consequently blamed in the fomer's death.:behold: |
| ThePreacher02-01-04, 11:54 PM | Me is not understand question. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-02-04, 09:45 AM | Preach no get question? Thok explain simple: Preach no more spam! If preach spam on, Thok fireball much Preach. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-02-04, 09:45 AM | . |
| N.Y. Wench02-10-04, 11:08 AM | Why did we stop and where are Myranthor and Harold and everyone else!? We'll get pruned if the adventure doesn't stay on the first page didn't you see the "read this"?! |
| Elvina02-10-04, 12:00 PM | The prune got cancled. |
| ThePreacher02-10-04, 04:09 PM | Me take spam be like ugh... Unsep...reaa...ammm...ughhh...table.. yea.. yea... Part of legendary adventuring. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-11-04, 09:24 AM | Indeed, it got canceled. Sneech has a point though: the adventure won't roll by itself like a movie, so get back to posting, and {preferably} to having your chars act kinetically. After all, they are PCs, not tourists in an interactive movie-theater; they're supposed to affect the way things develop, and when they do nothing exept watching and moving along - the default happens. The default, as you could guess, is incredibly boring. I would also remind it to some people in threads where i'm not the DM, at that... Oh, and another thing: Agudo says they canceled the prune, desiding it won't solve theyr problems; that implies the problems still exist, and the boards may well take the one-way ticket to the Outlands, if you know what i'm saying. Anyone with extra disc-space is wellcome to start backing-up the MotP's two frontpages, to save us all tears when {and if} the worst happens. |
| ThePreacher02-11-04, 10:47 AM | What are you guyz talking about? What prune? And what are the administrators about to do? And between, how about cuntinuing the adventure for crying out loud?? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-12-04, 08:57 PM | page 12, first DM entry {with the "A.S." comment} The ranger, however, can see that they are now in a small, perfectly spherical cave, its diameter no more than 10 AS* or five of his paces. The knocking is louder here, and something very quick seems to be spidering across the small cavern's walls, but it's hard to spot. A square 2-meter screen of almost blinding whiteness is set in the wal, directly opposing the tunnel through which they all fell instead of discending "peacefully", but once again, none exept the Preacher can see it. I made a little stretching, in the last DM entry, to integrate Ramoth's seeing the square, so now it's allright; but please pay more attention in the future. Now that i think of it, Vic seems to pay more attention than anyone else, so the request goes to all. |
| Ramoth02-12-04, 09:18 PM | Yes I do pay attention, and maybe you should to. And I quote. Oh then does the irritation kicks in. Though Ramoth doesn't feel it, the skin of the other three begins to itch, from the face the itch spreads to cover theyr entire skins, though the areas not covered by clothes seem to itch harder. Ramoth was NOT feeling the irratation acording to you. Also I never said Ramoth could see the wall, I said she walked towards it. She was able to walk towards it BASED on the information that Preacher had given her. IE: Ramoth! Can you see the thing on the wall? The small lil' shadow runnin' around like it was celebrations in waterdeep So she would know the wall was there even if she CAN'T see it. I had never said she was SEEING the wall. She's TOUCHING it. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-12-04, 10:50 PM | Yepp, as i said - Vicose was paying more attention than anyone else... anyone else inclueding myself:embarrass :embarrass :embarrass Fmm, i'll go and fixedit one of these mutually contradictive statements. I could use your word, though: The thing is, i wasn't sure wether sliding to a draconic spectrum of sences would make her more snsitive {per increaced sences} or less sencitive {per reduced volnurability} to the sonic annoyance. Tell me which is more likely, and i'll edit acordingly. :D As to Preach's words to Ramoth, though, he obviously referred to the mecahnical little *itch running all over the walls, not the "window". |
| Ramoth02-13-04, 08:02 AM | hhmm..... Let me see here. This does take a little thinking. I believe her sliding into dragon would make her less sensative acctually. Seeing as dragons are a little more resisant to attacks like that. But not too less, she's still got a human body so she would still take most of the damage. If I had stated she has scales or anything like that showing up then she'd be harder to hit with stuff like that. So  whatever you put is cool with me. |
| Gene_Kynes02-16-04, 03:36 PM | dam im ded |
| ThePreacher02-16-04, 04:03 PM | wtf?! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-16-04, 04:18 PM | Dante: I thought you wanted to be... Preach: Wha? |
| ThePreacher02-16-04, 04:29 PM | Gene Is Dante? .. Well I didn't know. |
| Ramoth02-16-04, 08:24 PM | Quick question Street before I post. Is Ramoth still in the same cavern as everyone else or is she somewhere else now? Need to know before I post. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-16-04, 11:25 PM | Well, as i explained in the IC, no. She's in a completly different place - check the description; the only similarity is that it's dark, and probably located underground. There doesn't seem to be anything exept of a sound in the spot she emerged from, and she can turn and walk through that place. She can't here the others, and they can't see her, but atleast for them she walked into a wall, while from the place where she is now, it seems as though she appeared in a rather empty place: the walls are so far away that even she can't see them in the darkness, and that's at maximal dragon-sences. A person with normal sences {even darkvision} wouldn't see the sieling either. |
| N.Y. Wench02-17-04, 07:32 AM | But the pain stopped for the guys down there right? |
| Ramoth02-17-04, 07:42 AM | Didn't completly understand the IC explination, which is why I asked first. Sometimes you put in SO much information that I have trouble following you. Thanks for clearing that up for me. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai02-17-04, 11:29 PM | Sneech: Yepp, it was a wave that ended the moment Ramoth went through the screen. Vicose: Meow, sorry, i should be working on it. :embarrass Poke me when such stuff happens, and i'll try to edit the posts to make them clearer.:) |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai03-05-04, 08:13 PM | A salute to Drindin for pulling us out of Page2, and a spank for Sneech, Ramoth, and Preach {the latter carried out by someone else} for not posting yet. :bump: Edit: :bump: Sneech, i'll spank you again if you won't post; I think i'm starting to like it. A friendly advice: never tempt a divorced man to spank you.:smirk: Another thing, everyne: I'm a terrible breeding soil for typoes, and ther mistakes. If you see an inconsistency, anything wrong in my posts, please tell me; i really wanna fix any lapsi i have, but often lack the concentration to find them myself. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai05-09-04, 11:38 AM | Originally posted by Laurie Oh, I wasnt expecting it to work like that. To make things clearer, i'll re-explain: Laurie was walking along the wall, feeling it, and accidently stepped into the same thingy Ramoth passed through earlier. As a result, her spell was cast on the other side already, and detected th passage from Ramoth's side, instead of from Harold's. |
| kulideb05-09-04, 03:22 PM | Thank you:D But Laurie can be a bit..well..thick some times! |
