| Khaira06-06-04, 01:05 AM | This is thread is meant for OOC STUFF! To gather members, figure out details, and the like. This will take place after the stuff at Hillsfar has taken place. Khaira will be being judged. Possibly, too, Kheldar and maybe Kulideb will be being judged. But since the title is Trial of *Khaira*, obviously it'd focus on the bardess. Now...who would like to join? Ideally, Ruthia as Branth would be judge, and Tyrion and Rayek would be guards, not sure where Agudo would fit in? Probably one of the "lawyers". And anyone else who wants to join - if either you want to be a part of this and be at the trial to perhaps be a witness for the Grand Bardess, and/or you have ideas to make this even BETTER!, post here!! And as far as where we would have it...Agudo's school and Hillsfar ... both of those places would not be too "neutral". Though Hillsfar would make sense, since Kheldar and Khaira (heh, and maybe Kulideb?) would be helf there. But...suggestions, questions, comments? Post here, PM me, or email me @ r_silverwing@yahoo.com To fun, glory, and gaming! |
| kulideb06-06-04, 06:02 AM | Sounds good Khaira! count me in. What about Waterdeep? |
| Khaira06-06-04, 09:38 PM | ((No one else has stepped forth yet?? Poo.)) Waterdeep - isn't that Kheldar's hometown? |
| Agudo Archmage06-07-04, 12:28 AM | Well now! Whats this? A trial, I can see my magical self there. |
| Tyrion Grayleaf06-07-04, 01:04 AM | You can count on Tyrion and Rayek being there! And yes, Waterdeep is Kheldar's hometown! :) |
| Khaira06-07-04, 01:08 AM | And yes, Waterdeep is Kheldar's hometown! Then, wouldn't it be considered "biased" to have the trial at Waterdeep, since someone might favor Kheldar, should he go on trial? Or am I just being too picky? (Pssst, if I am, feel free to tell me to ease up on the reins!) |
| Kheldar Devaentar06-07-04, 01:24 AM | Hee hee, I don't know if Kheldar has all that many friends in Waterdeep. . . Maybe a few merchants like him because of the copious amounts of money he sometimes spends. . . There are also, most likely, a few people in Waterdeep that would like to see him hung on the spot! But being a rogue does that too you, ya know? Personally, I think the trail would be best set in Agudo's school! Yes there's a heavy bias there. . . But don't you think the person who'll most likely be playing Judge, Jury, and Executioner would want it that way? :smirk: Hee hee, just my thoughts! :) Gord PS: I don't know if Kheldar will be participating. I'll have to see how things play out. He might just try to save his own skin! |
| ruthia06-07-04, 11:03 AM | Poor Branth...A judge?!?!? I agree with Kheldar on this one, set it at the school. With Branth as judge it will just offset the Biased enough to make it fair, I mean Branth is their friend right? Or if you want a truely partical Judge, Ruthia herself could be pulled in. Nothing fairier then some one who wasn't there right??? But then you'd need a new place to do it......mmmm..... How about a certain burnt down lighthouse on the Sword Coast :smirk: . Ok that might not work, but you get the idea. It could be just about ANY nuetral spot in between Hillsfar and the school. Also if you need a few juriers some of my chars can come. |
| Agudo Archmage06-07-04, 04:43 PM | I like the thought of Ruthia being the judge. :D Where to have execution? D'oh I meant trail place…… Purn/Pern? (Name check) Maybe Khaira sought escape there at Ruthia home world |
| Khaira06-07-04, 05:06 PM | Hm...lots of choices...agudo's school, waterdeep, Pern.... I'm beginning to sway towards AGudo's school but...i'm still not sure. Will make my decision by tommorrow, and I will give people until Saturday to join...Saturday morning/evening I will start up the thread. :) |
| Kheldar Devaentar06-07-04, 06:35 PM | Oh! Then we better start setting the stage! |
| Good Knight06-07-04, 07:32 PM | Could someone use a dashing prosecutor? One handsome older knight ready for the job |
| Drindin06-07-04, 09:25 PM | Maybe we could get Rodney to institute some of the Gnomish Justice System... :smirk: |
| Khaira06-07-04, 09:26 PM | Doesn't anybody want to defend Khaira, the greatest bardess of all time?!? I'm shattered.;-) Good Knight,I imagine Agudo would want to be prosecutor but...maybe the two of you could tag team ... or something. Here's what I have so far...I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of vote. (let me know if I'm forgetting anything or anyone) Setting: Agudo's School of Light and Magic, Pern, Watedeep (let me know if I'm forgetting anything) Judge: Branth, Ruthia Prosecutor: Agudo (which would be most likely) or Good Knight Jurors: ??? On Trial: Khaira (primarily), Kulideb, and (possibly) Kheldar Bailiff: ?? Guards/"Escorts": Rayek and Tyrion Defense Attorney: No one/Khaira, ??? Still a few question marks...if anyone has any clues on what to do/what to have, let's hear 'em! Otherwise, let's hear the vote! |
| Khaira06-07-04, 09:27 PM | Originally posted by Drindin Maybe we could get Rodney to institute some of the Gnomish Justice System... :smirk: can you definite "Gnomish Justice System" for me? |
| Drindin06-07-04, 10:17 PM | There is no definition... simply read "Siege of Mount Nevermind" and you'll know what I'm talking about! :P |
| Khaira06-07-04, 10:20 PM | Well, Khaira *does* still need someone to defend her in court...*ahem* Rodney *ahem* |
| Agudo Archmage06-08-04, 01:15 AM | I believe Agudo should be the accuser/plaintiff that would free up the prosecution for Good Knight. By the way I like the thought of a jury. I don’t know if we can get enough people to do it. But if not then Ruthia can be judge and executioner. ;) Come to think of it....Lucky could be the Defense Attorney :P |
| ruthia06-08-04, 10:58 AM | Ruthia as judge will probaly be best, espically if I decided that Branth is really dead. She's not going to be happy with anyone for allowing her brother to die in this "Stupid Fued" as she'll see it. Bailiff..... Ah how bout Malendor?? I think he could handle the "Burly guy who keeps the court in order" part of this. And he'd be back by now, this story hapens after Evil in the timeline sense. Juriors have to be impartial..... Does anyone have ANY characters that aren't in ANY way connected to this story or the people in it? |
| Drindin06-08-04, 12:04 PM | Well... I've got Kraggar, and Rilithin (Though I doubt either would come). |
| Khaira06-08-04, 05:50 PM | I've got some characters that I could bring in for a jury....Evander, Faeryl, to name a few, if push comes to shove. The problem is, they're all at Agudo's School, however, they haven't met Agudo or Khaira yet...just Lady Hoot...so could be a possibility. So here's what I've decided on... Setting: narrowed down to Agudo's School or Hillsfar Judge: Ruthia Bailiff: Malendor Plaintiff/Accuser: Agudo Prosecution: Good Knight On Trial: Khaira :( Jury: Erm... |
| Ug06-08-04, 09:18 PM | http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portug.gif Oh, oh!! Jury, JURY!!! Me want be jury! Ug know what jury is! It's da sound dat comes at da end of injury! And me really good at making injuries! So me be in jury, plleeeeeeaaaassseee? ((No, don't use the Gnome Justice System, use the Orc Justice System!!!! Everyone beats each other up and the last one standing gets to make the verdict!! However, more times than not the defendant doesn't survive, but neither does that darned yappy Prosecutor!)) :smirk: Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley |
| Myranthor06-08-04, 09:30 PM | If this happens after IE's timeline, i'm pretty sure Myranthor will want to put his own salt to it, as well. Would a defender who was not there good enough for you, Khaira? Also, for the jury, I can suggest bonze, LG priest. |
| Ug06-08-04, 09:33 PM | The events happening at Agudo's School of Light and Magic are after Evil Intentions, so this trial will be too. |
| ruthia06-08-04, 10:05 PM | Oh Oh Oh Myran HAS to Defend Khaira! That's be so COOL! I've got Ramoth coming also, as you can see everyone in the family will be here except the kids. So if you need an extra jurior let me know. uummm...I might be able to pull a few strings and get us another jurior who'd be mostly impartial...... Give me a few. |
| Khaira06-08-04, 11:45 PM | Okay! I received an email and i have yet another choice for the setting. Let me know what y'all think. Also, here's an update on "roles" Settings:Agudo's School (tired of typign it all out!), Hillsfar, or Agudo's tent in the army encampment near Hillsfar. Setting: narrowed down to Agudo's School or Hillsfar Judge: Ruthia Bailiff: Malendor Plaintiff/Accuser: Agudo Prosecution: Good Knight On Trial: Khaira Defense: Myranthor (yay! Yes Myranthor will be great, even though he was not there) Jury: For the jury, I've decided on just 6 member (12 might be too big of a hassle. So, in the jury we have:Ramoth, Bonze, Ug, Evander, Faeryl (last two are my characters.) That means we only need one more juror! Though I can have Evander and Faeryl in the jury, I'd rather not, so I'd actually like to see 3 more total juror members volunteer. But if not, oh well. Comments, suggestions anyone? |
| Pipers Youth06-09-04, 09:25 AM | ((I'd be glad to be a jury, I'm up for it));) |
| kulideb06-09-04, 10:09 AM | If I'm not on trial I could be a witness:D We could ask Quathmoir for one of his ch to go on jury duty. |
| Agudo Archmage06-09-04, 01:13 PM | This looks like it will be fun. :pile: |
| Khaira06-09-04, 03:36 PM | Pipers Youth, Kulideb - sounds good. You are now in the jury! Just one more juror member......... |
| Myranthor06-09-04, 05:18 PM | Agudo, could you, by some magical mean, contact Bonze, whom you already met? |
| ruthia06-09-04, 08:50 PM | Um... I have another person for the jury. In fact, he's completely perfect for this thing. The character has NEVER been to Agudo's school, has only had very brief contact with Agudo ((And that wasn't enough to make him think very highly of Agudo :embarrass )) and has virtually nothing to do with the current story lines going on. His player hasn't been online at Wizards since we moved from the old boards so he has no clue of the story connections here. He'd be a true "impartial" Jurior. Names Beljames. What cha think???? Oh and he would have a reason for being where the trail is taking place....... but I'm not at liberty to say why. It's a story line we're developing ;) |
| Beljames06-09-04, 09:46 PM | hiya guys, i'll be the juror, being gone for as long as i was, i have no idea what's goin on :) :looloo: lol btw ruthia poo poo on u :) |
| Khaira06-10-04, 02:18 AM | Okay! It looks like everythings set! Here is what we have: Setting: The Army Encampment, near Hillsfar Judge: Ruthia Bailiff: Malendor Plaintiff/Accuser: Agudo Prosecution: Good Knight On Trial: Khaira Defense: Myranthor (yay! Yes Myranthor will be great, even though he was not there) Jury: Ramoth, Bonze, Ug, Kulideb, Beljames, Pipers Youth I just had a thought/realization - wouldn't Kulideb be *not* impartial since she knows Khaira and most likely won't want her to die? Of course, nobody has to know that...:smirk: And, if there are any other people/characters/players that wish to be involved before Saturday, they can either be in the jury, I can fit them into one of the spots above, or they can be in the audience. After all, what would the trial of the most-famous Lady Khaira Amastacia, the Roc-riding, Harp-playing Charismatic Bard be without an audience?! And I just realized something - is Ruthia playing the part of Judge AND executioner? Or are we reserving that special right for Agudo, or someone else? Or do we need to recruit somebody for this position? Let me know if I'm forgetting anything! |
| Pipers Youth06-10-04, 10:23 AM | ((Okay sounds great, but could you name the charges against Khaira before we get started so well have an idea?)):) |
| Khaira06-10-04, 12:15 PM | The Charges that are against Khaira are thus: Helping a Known Criminal/Assassin Escape, Resisting Arrest, Treason Against Agudo/the Army of Light. Think that's it...somebody correct me/add on if I missed something. |
| ruthia06-10-04, 12:16 PM | The charges.... Hehehe thats easy. Here's one to add Conspericy to free a crimanial |
| Myranthor06-10-04, 05:06 PM | Hum... Khaira, could you email me, with all the infos Myr will need to have for this? Thank you very much |
| Khaira06-10-04, 05:33 PM | Yes, Myran, I will email you details tonight about what's going on...gotta run to work now! |
| kulideb06-13-04, 06:15 AM | I dont mind sitting on the jury! ~And I wont tell any one that I know Khaira as a friend, after all she has to have someone on her side!~Said very quietly to Khaira :smirk: |
| Beljames06-13-04, 09:07 PM | * walks over to the juror box* hmm this won't do *looks at all the chairs, pulls in his WILL, and releases it with a small gesture and a whispered word* *suddenly all the wooden chairs became comftorable coushioned arm chairs* aah there we go! now, who wants an orange? *reaches into his pouch and pulls out some oranges* |
| Ramoth06-13-04, 10:01 PM | Yum...Bel??? You do relize this is the OOC thread right? And that your suppose to post in the IC thread right? So my response to your possible dumbness here http://www.geocities.com/baconandeggs2/Sept2003/ShoeThrowLong2.txt ((hehehe warned you I'd use it on you!)) |
| Agudo Archmage06-13-04, 11:02 PM | Myranthor Agudo, could you, by some magical mean, contact Bonze, whom you already met? Sorry for the delay. So many posts so little time. But I see that Khaira already has Bonze part set for him. I will see what I can do in my post :D On a side note... the magic carpet is my Crusade and hint, against those who rely on the boring Teleportation spells. Yes I knowone has used them in this story. But I am on a high horse and ranting. ;) Takes all the fun out of adventuring…. Where would the three movies of the Lords of the Rings be, if Gandolf used Teleportation spell on the Hobbits; or if Drizzt jumped around Ice Wind Dale like that? Great adventures are made by the time it takes to get there!…. Ok my rant is over …Teee hee. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai06-14-04, 11:31 AM | :mage: Thok like much naked elven bard! Thok participate much trial, :teach: and act much fool. Where need Thok now go? :88E: |
| Khaira06-14-04, 06:09 PM | http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=257470 Thok go here! Thok go Hillsfar! THok much late!:D |
| Naiilo06-14-04, 11:39 PM | Sorry, I posted before I posted here, anyways, I'm a bit late I know but I had pressing matters on this side of the keyboard that held my hands. Anways, as the first post of mine in the game thread says, my details will be shown here. So here they are.. His name, since you haven't found out yet, is Larinthiose. He is a planar race, a race called the Zenythri. For all whoe don't know, the Zenythri are introverted, serious creatures that view everything with high scrutiny. They rarely express any emotion; rather they choose to analyze every facet of a situation before deciding how to react. While others may view them as slow to act, few match their drive and determination once their course is set. Zenythri tend to be absolute perfectionists, refusing to let the smallest flaw or shortcoming pass in a task when it is possible to do better. As a result they are often arrogant and look down on less-structured creatures with either pity or disdain. Larinthiose is a rogue. Zenythri's are the descendents of humans mysteriously infused with the energies of law. Although most Zenythri chose to follow their lawful ways, Larinthiose see's balance in everything he does. He believes one extreme cannot exist without the other, so he chose the path of the rogue, to balance the fact that he is of lawful heritage. He also believes, that the two extremes infuse within each other, and thus create a balanced force of unequaled measure-and to those who have seen him wield his blades, few could disagree!-since it is utter chaos that breeds un-bending order, he believes the chaos of a rogues life, in itself, is a law that he abideds by, and nothing else matters. His first rapier, strapped to his left side, used by his dominant right hand, is this one (http://www.weaponmasters.com/index.html?ID=8dd9b1eb7b37940243f3f8b972 1ef0c1&FDX=&FMAX=&SORT=&ITEM=PC99-889&LOCATION=PHOTOS) His next one, strapped to his right and drawn with his (although not dominant, but still simliarly as skilled as his right hand) other hand is this one (http://www.weaponmasters.com/index.html?ID=8dd9b1eb7b37940243f3f8b972 1ef0c1&FDX=&FMAX=&SORT=PRICE_UP&ITEM=PC-1027S&LOCATION=PHOTOS). Hope you'll allow my character into the fun! |
| Khaira06-14-04, 11:58 PM | Sounds good and fun! The more the merrier, as they say. Of course I'll let you into the game, as long as you don't mind being a juror member. If you had some other part in mind, let me know and I'll see what I can do. See you at the bloody slaughter...er, I mean, trial!:smirk: |
| Khaira06-15-04, 03:15 PM | Just a few new things... Setting: The Army Encampment, near Hillsfar Judge: Ruthia Bailiff: Malendor Plaintiff/Accuser: Agudo Prosecution: Good Knight On Trial: Khaira Defense: Myranthor Jury: Ramoth, Bonze, Ug, Kulideb, Beljames, Pipers Youth, Thok, Larinthiose Guards/Khaira's "Escort": Tyrion and Rayek I believe all that the only people we are waiting on is Ug, Rayek, Tyrion, and Pipers Youth. And after we get those people, then we shall start. Yay!:D |
| Good Knight06-16-04, 02:17 PM | RUTHIA ((OOC: Ummm...I'm confused??? What tent are the jurors and judge meeting in? I was originally in the main tent, but Khaira's announcement said to go to a different tent. Now Kulideb and the others are in the main tent again??? I'm a confused little dragon.)) I as well have been easily lost at times, in where some of us are! May be it would be wise to start titling the locations we are at. |
| Khaira06-16-04, 02:36 PM | As I stated in my post ... the trial is being held outside, in the roped off area (refer to first post for details) The jurors and judge and basically the whole court is meeting in the main tent. Hope that clears somethings up. And btw...I'm going on vacation, starting tommorrow, and will be gone until Monday evening. So, while I am gone, I am passing the responsibility of the thread onto Agudo and Ruthia. |
| kulideb06-16-04, 05:21 PM | Sorry..I thought it in the tent, I really must get my eyes tested! I'll edit it so Kuli is waiting in the tent before going outside to the roped off 'court' area. |
| ruthia06-16-04, 08:46 PM | Now if Kulideb could just move herself and the rest of the juriors who are with her to the tent everyone else is meeting in we'd be all set! Oh and if Bel would ever post....... ((Makes mental note to call Bel's player up and verbally smack him for not posting...)) |
| ruthia06-16-04, 09:24 PM | Ok....Um..talked to a couple people. Let's all just pretend we're all in the same tent. So Ruthia, Ramoth, Bonze, Kulideb, and Larinthiose are together right now waiting for the trail to start ((Got the Info Khaira, will do once all the Juriors post.)). Ok everyone??? And if I got the info right everyone else, minus Khaira and her guards, are meeting here. |
| kulideb06-17-04, 04:30 AM | Kuli clicks her red slippers together. "I wish I was in the same tent as everyone else..." Quathmoir is also with us, well as Thok that is. |
| Beljames06-17-04, 08:20 AM | ruthia, don't make me hurt u, lol. im here, but i have oblgations that keep me away from my comp most of the day now   |
| Agudo Archmage06-17-04, 12:19 PM | Well isnt DMing a funny thing... first I was the DM of the Messianica story. Now I am...with the lovable Ruthia are Sub Dming an off shoot of it :mage: |
| ruthia06-17-04, 12:35 PM | Not my fault you now have to work your tail off to put gas in that beast of a vehical of yours :smirk: . Thats what you get for buying a truck.... Speaking of which does anyone have some pointers for someone who is new at driving standered....Bel's player really could use some.... :P  Ok back on track.....yah I get to Sub till Monday  How did that happen! |
| Pipers Youth06-22-04, 09:30 PM | ((Ok, I am very sorry for being late. That's one less jury member you have to worry about. No hard feelings neh?));) |
| Khaira06-23-04, 12:13 AM | Back from vacation [unfortunately...:(], and I will post soon, if not tonight, then tommorrow. Looks like everything's gone well in my absence. Anything from Rayek, Tyrion, and Ug? Those are all of the people that we're waiting on... |
| Myranthor06-23-04, 05:51 AM | Khaira, I don't know if the other players feel like this, too, but I believe a new DM post would fit in really nicely. I am lost, with all the tents, etc. What's happening around the lawyers and the juriors right now? thank you |
| Khaira06-23-04, 03:03 PM | ((OOC - DM's Post)) Okay - for now, Khaira is being held in a separate tent, complete with guards and what not. We shall refer to this tent as Tent A. Agudo has his own personal tent, complete with all of his worldly possessions and wizardly what have you. We shall refer to this tent as Tent B. The jurors and lawyers, and all of the court are in another separate tent, together. There are also a variety of guards within the tent of the jurors and lawters. We are just awaiting some posts from a few people, as mentioned in above post. This tent shall be referred to as Tent C. And then, of course, we have the actual trial "room"/area, which is, basically, a roped off area with the judge's seat/podium, a witness' "box", the defense attorney's seats/desk, as well as a seat for Khaira. There are also a desk/seats for Agudo and Keldorn. Behind all of this are the seats for the audience. So mapped out, it would look like this.... -----------Bailiff(Malendor--Ruthia(judge)Podium/desk--Witness box ------DA's Desk/Seat----------------------------Prosecution Desk/seat -----------------------------------------Audience------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tent B-Agudo------- Tent C-Jurors/Lawyers-------Tent A-Khaira ----Private Tent ----- Private Tent-----Private Tent-----Private Tent Does that clarify most of it? If not, let me know. |
| malik2106-23-04, 03:36 PM | Malik would like to join |
| ruthia06-26-04, 12:00 PM | Ok I know WE all know who's doing what, but I think it's fun to be all offical like! :P And I just throw Star Bright in as a after thought, since don't all trials have some one who writes down the whole trial??? So she'll fill out that role, even though we don't really need it. So Khaira has asked me to question the juriors, which I'll do soon. My post are basicaly going to be one sentence Questions for a little bit till we have all the "Pretrail" Stuff done. So feel free to answer back with a one sentence answer. And I hijacked the thread  Khaira.....Are you going to yell at me??? Ohhh...Bad bad dragon!!!!!!!! Guess I need a time out  |
| Khaira06-26-04, 03:11 PM | YOu hijacked the thread? Yelling across cyber space may be kind of hard ... I can TYPE IN CAPTIAL LETTERS, THOUGH!;-) Besides, I must commend you on a job well done in running the thread in my absence. :) And...if Rayek and Tyrion do not post soon, like within the next day or two, I'm afraid I'm going to have to move on without them. I can only assume that they have too much going on in their own lives that they cannot get to this thread. As you all may or may not be aware, Rayek and Tyrion were supposed to serve as Khaira's escort/personal guards. This would mean that this position would now be open. So...anyone have any ideas? |
| Khaira07-10-04, 11:19 PM | Much to my dismay, I have decided that we are going to have to go without the participation of Tyrion and Rayek, since they haven't posted yet, and I can only assume that they're too busy to be able to participate. For Khaira's personal escort/guards, I'm just going to use a couple of the soldiers from the Army of Light... It also seems as though things are going rather slow at the trial...tommorrow, I'll probably just "fast-forward" the thread, if things are going too slowly. |
| Lucky Leprechaun07-10-04, 11:36 PM | Lucky thinks that everyone should be in the main trial then have Ruthia comeout and be starting the trial. Maybe yers truely will show up, and save Khaira. By me mighty strengh and battle everyone for her.... Or I could just take a seat and watch what happens ;) |
| ruthia07-11-04, 10:27 AM | Well I was only waiting for Kheldorn's(SP?) replie or I would have kept replieing myself. :embarrass sorry. |
| Khaira07-11-04, 03:52 PM | I'm just rather dissapointed that there hasn't been a post in 3 or 4 days...it would be nice if Keldorn would post a reply, yes. It's almost looking like all of the participants are just falling off the face of the earth...So much for a fast-moving trial. And, just to clarify, no I am not mad as a hornet at anyone, just mildly dissapointed that the thread isn't moving as fast as I would like. But, on the flip side of the coin, I also understand that people have their own lives and their own responsibilities, that poeple lose interest if a thread is too long and drawn out, and that people will post when people will post. Guess we'll just have to keep patient and keep playing the waiting game... |
| Myranthor07-11-04, 05:35 PM | BTW, I was charged by Kulideb to tell you all that she won't be able to appear around for some time, length undefined. Also, I want to support Khaira's last words. Although spekaing, and exchanging insults with myself is really enjoyable, (for those who wouldn't know it, I also play Gallic), new players would be welcome in our/my little contest. Ruthia, if you wonder how to start roleplaying in that empty tent, there's an old priest who would like a friend, if youw ant to speak to him, wether through malendor or Ruthia. If not, continue your formal and judge's tasks, as you did so far. Have a good day |
| Khaira07-12-04, 12:08 AM | BTW, I was charged by Kulideb to tell you all that she won't be able to appear around for some time, length undefined. Okay, well, if by some miracle of the Gods, we do actually get to where the jurors have to actually do something, I'll just have to "drag" Kulideb along...as long as she's allright with that and/or she's not back yet. |
| PoisonBlade07-12-04, 04:27 AM | If there's one thing I hate more than anything else it's disappointing other people, and I seem to be doing far too much of that as of late. SO! Tonight I'm going to print out the entire Trial of Khaira thread and read through it. I don't know how active of a role any of my characters will be able to play, but I will make a conscious effort to include them in your story. Please forgive my absence. A combination of work, the flu, an art competition, and several commissioned gigs have really restricted the amount of time I'm allowed to spend on these boards. Already I'm having a hard time trying to keep up with just Evil Intentions. Anyway, no one likes to hear excuses, so I'm done with them. I'm printing off the pages right now. For those of you who don't know I'm Rayek and Leetah's player. Both characters have been asked to par-take in this story and I would like to have them included if it still best suits everyone’s interests. Conversely, if no one wants these characters to make an appearance anymore, please tell me. I don’t mean to intrude. -PoisonBlade EDIT: I just finished reading through the thread. . .It's 3:00 AM. . .I'm way too tired to make an intelligible post. The next chance I'll have is tomorrow evening. . . |
| ruthia07-12-04, 11:11 AM | There, I'm kicking everyone out of tent c. Happy Myran dear :P |
| Khaira07-13-04, 01:23 AM | Originally posted by Pipers Youth ((Ok, I am very sorry for being late. That's one less jury member you have to worry about. No hard feelings neh?));) Trying to get things straight and whatnot - am I confused, or did this mean that Pipers Youth is longer with us? And, yes, if Rayek and Leetah *can* participate in the trial, that would be lovely. If not...well, they'll be missed. I believe the only jurors that we're waiting on (to enter the court) is Beljames, Larinthiose, Ramoth ... think that's it. Someone correct me if I am wrong... |
| ruthia07-13-04, 09:22 AM | Beljames's player is really busy at work right now so I'll just move his character with Ramoth. He'll be able to play when we need him, but it's easier just to move him around then I'll tell him when we need more desicive action from him. |
| Ramoth07-13-04, 09:43 AM | Ok...Here's how I envision the Jurior's box is set up...Correct me if I'm wrong. Ramoth-----Beljames--------empty seat Kulideb------Empty seat-------empty seat That should leave enough room for Jedit, Bonze, and Larinthiose to sit. Right???? |
| malik2107-13-04, 09:44 AM | what about me?You forgot about me!! |
| Elvina07-13-04, 09:46 AM | lol Sorry Malik. Here's the fixed version. Ramoth-----Beljames--------empty seat Kulideb------Malik-----------Empty seat-------empty seat |
| malik2107-13-04, 10:15 AM | :D Thx |
| Voll07-13-04, 12:06 PM | Voll has also recently become a member of the jury. Better pull out another seat. ;) |
| Elvina07-13-04, 03:36 PM | lol....oh well I tried. Here yah go. Ramoth-----Beljames--------empty seat------Empty seat Kulideb------Malik-----------Empty seat-------empty seat So does everyone now have a seat??? :P |
| kulideb07-14-04, 12:07 PM | Eekk! sorry I posted then read this! Kuli has gone to see if Khaira is alright! |
| PoisonBlade07-14-04, 05:24 PM | So dose that make this the new seating arrangement? --Ramoth --------Beljames--------Empty Seat-------Empty Seat Empty Seat ------- Malik------------- Voll------------i- Jedit---- Hee hee. Who would ever have thought that something so simple could prove to be so complecated? ;) AAAAHH! Bonze! You healed Kharia! That was going to be Leetah's "in" to this story. lol, oh well. Excellent post! Out of curiosity, is Bonze an Apostle of Peace? -PoisonBlade |
| Voll07-14-04, 05:36 PM | OH DEAR GOD!!! Ummmm. . .guys. . .I just noticed something terrible. . . Malik. . .are you a half demon? Please tell me your not, even though I somehow think you are. . . . . .--. . .--. . . . . .This could be bad. . . |
| ruthia07-14-04, 06:01 PM | Lol thats ok Kuli, I moved you just to get everyone else going. Hey can you sit next to Bel?? Bonze's player was upset cause he couldn't sit next to you :P lol....Oh god, Hey Jedit can you sit in Between Voll and Malik??? I don't Think we need anymore fighting here ;) Lmao! I got a case of the giggles tonight! Oh and the seats go. Ramoth------Beljames----Empty Seat----Empty seat Empty Seat-----Malik-----Larinthiose------Voll--------Jedit So now there are more seats then Juriors  Oh well. |
| Eidrog07-14-04, 06:11 PM | :mymy:  Yeah, this might be bad. Gord |
| Voll07-14-04, 06:28 PM | *Voll's Player starts crying.* It doesn’t even matter if Jedit sits between Voll and Malik. By D&D Rules, Voll can detect all forms of Demons within 60 ft and there's no possible way to prevent it. Furthermore, Voll DESPSES demons! Every last one of them! Even half-demons. So renowned is Voll's hatred towards them, that the phrase "Voll's Sword" has become a swear in the Abyss. ( That's what my DM declared after he saw me roleplay Voll in one of his campaigns. He also exclaimed that Demons young and old alike are scared witless by tales of the over-zealous demon slayer. ) Anyway, I have no idea what's going to happen, but I'll try to avoid a fight from breaking out. I really don't want to ruin this thread just because I was stupid enough to include a renown demon slayer into a story that already had a half-demon in it. Had I have realized this earlier I never would have included Voll! All the same, please be weary of Voll Malik. Don’t give him any reasons to start obnoxiously attacking you. The next time I post Voll he may be very “cold” towards your character. Please Please Please don’t have Malik try to show him up! *Voll’s Player resumes crying, unsure about what the future might bring.* |
| ruthia07-14-04, 06:39 PM | Hey Malik, just let the Half Angel side take over and we'll be good to go right????? :twitch: :twitch: :twitch: :twitch: Hey Khaira....did you plan for this to happen???? I mean did you know this trial was going to be a circus????? :D Who's the clown??? |

| Bonze07-14-04, 07:07 PM | AAAAHH! Bonze! You healed Kharia! That was going to be Leetah's "in" to this story. lol, oh well. Excellent post! Out of curiosity, is Bonze an Apostle of Peace? Yes, i noticed. When I saw Agudo shout for Leetah, I guessed it was already planned OOC. However, IC, I thought it would make no sence for an exalted LG priest to watch by so the priestess can make her entry. I'm pretty confident you understand all of this, anyway. And, no, Bonze isn't an apostle of peace, although he could qualify for the PrC if he wished. He had both VOP and VOpeace feats. However, he rather did choose the paths of inquisitor and celestial mystic (more in the character presentation thread). My Apostle of Peace character, Septris, a beautiful and recurrently sad moon elf, venerating a god created speficifically for her, based on Nienna in the Silmarillion, hasn't yet threaded over the Map of the Planes. And, in case you didn't, the player behind Bonze is the same player that hides in the darkness surrounding your best friend, Luika. Hi Chris :D |
| PoisonBlade07-14-04, 08:06 PM | "WHAT!?!?" *Chris blinks in disbelief* . . .--. . .--. . . "I never would have guessed that in a million years! You disguised your writing style so well!" -Chris PS: No worries about Bonze healing Kharia. It only made sense for him to do so. ;) |
| malik2107-14-04, 08:09 PM | Um......I can't just let the angel side 'take over'.I would still count as a half demon....... |
| malik2107-15-04, 04:32 AM | All the same, please be weary of Voll Malik. Don’t give him any reasons to start obnoxiously attacking you. The next time I post Voll he may be very “cold” towards your character. Please Please Please don’t have Malik try to show him up! Sorry, but that's what my character does. Not only did you put a demon slayer where a (half)demon already was,out of all demons in all the threads you picked one of the most obnoxious demons too.Haha |
| Voll07-15-04, 05:14 AM | What have I done? |
| Khaira07-15-04, 03:44 PM | Indeed, it appears that the circus has come to town! Though it may be a rather comical thing to see (Voll vs. Malik!), I don't think that an intense, to -the-death duel would make very many people at the trial happy...but it will definitely add some excitement, to see if Voll and Malik come to a duel of words during the trial... And there's no reason why Leetah can't still come in. After all, she wouldn't necessarily know that Khaira's already healed. Besides, her abilities may be need with Voll and Malik!! |
| Gallic Imalustriel07-15-04, 03:48 PM | Not to mention that our defense attorney really wants her to be there. |
| malik2107-15-04, 03:51 PM | After all, she wouldn't necessarily know that Khaira's already healed. Besides, her abilities may be need with Voll and Malik!! If it's up to my character she'll be needed. |
| ruthia07-15-04, 09:31 PM | Which it won't be if the judge has any say in this Malik...I'll pound both of you over the head with my malet of Justice  |
| The 21 Judgements07-15-04, 09:33 PM | sorry...glitch..... |
| Khaira07-23-04, 01:15 AM | erm...unfortunately, starting later today, I shall be away from home until Wednesday night. I am on a part vacation and part "business" trip, and computer access will be rather tentative. I am, however, going to try to check these boards in the early morning, so if you need to get something to me pronto, you can PM me - that'd be the easiest way to contact me. Ruthia, now that the juror members (with the exception of Bonze now...), are all gathered, i would assume we can continue on with the plan. It'd be nice to get things rolling at least a little bit. |
| Wirenth07-23-04, 06:10 AM | *Salutes* Yes mama! |
| Khaira08-01-04, 09:50 PM | Posters, posters, hullo, hullo? |
| Khaira08-01-04, 09:50 PM | Tricksy double postign demons... |
| Elvina08-01-04, 10:50 PM | I think everyone ran away Khaira. All I'm waiting on is Myranthor to finish making out with Leetah and join us back in the court area.:smirk: Then Ruthia will enter and we could start things.... |
| Khaira08-02-04, 01:41 AM | Who would've thought that such a highly-esteemed practicioner of the magical arts, renowned for being so sensibly minded, would be so flirtatious. Khaira's personally offended; that's HER job!:smirk: Y'know, if I'd have known that it would take THIS long to get the procession done, I'd never have gone on vacation! |
| kulideb08-02-04, 03:27 AM | I'm here! things have been a bit busy in real life,, :D |
| Myranthor08-02-04, 03:30 PM | Well, sorry, miss Khaira, but Myranthor is indeed flirtatious. Who said the practitionneers of the arcane arts weren't able to enjoy the pleasures of carnal passion? The enchantment school has more than bypasing guards as purpose. |
| Khaira08-04-04, 11:41 PM | Just make sure you use proper protection!:smirk: Just kidding...seriously, though, I hope you and Leetah get your thing done soon enough...this thread is moving slower than molasses in January! |
| Leetah08-05-04, 05:50 AM | * * * Leetah giggled, then gingerly removed her hands from Myranthor and brought them up to the intricate lacing of her simple corset. Within seconds, the simple article of clothing, along with her long grey cloak, lied uselessly on the ground beside them. Leetah's eyes swooned with desire. ". . .Make love to me Elf. . ." * * * http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongleetah.gif Leetah abrubtly bursts into a torent of tears. "This is so embaressing!!! | Myranthor08-06-04, 09:54 PM | I never watched mollasses' races in January, but I doubt they can compare to cheetahs. I don't know if our "thing" will end soon, however. Both Chris and I agreed to make it pretty graphic, so we'll be able to, slowly, transform Leetah's personnality and renown, not to the rank of healer, but of desireable mistress of hedonistic pleasures. This said, and leaving, hopefully, most bedazzled and wondering what percentage of what I wrote is actually true , I posted simply to notify that I should post and continue the sequel of our adventure tomorrow in the afternoon, as vacations in a remote, septentrional location precedently and work tomorrow keep me from doing so tonight. However, the post is becoming clearer and clearer in my mind, and should evolve as well, as I'll have nothing else to do tomorrow morning, aside from being careful not to decapitate my hands while cutting a club sandwich. Have a good day. |
| Drindin08-07-04, 10:46 AM | Hmm... Two robed sorcerers will soon be entering the seats where the locals would be seated. One shorter than the other, but both hidden behind cloaks. The taller, and stronger looking of the two females in one of a dark, navy blue colour. The shorter, and frailer looking of the two within a familiar looking black cloak that has been refitted to her tinyer frame. |
| Myranthor08-08-04, 07:16 PM | Despite the tremendous length and the efforts it took me to write my last post, I'd like your characters to discard its existence right now, until some informations can be exchanged behind the scenes. If some things are revealed to be what I thought they are, most probably history once more will be changed, as some of this knowledge would reach my character as well, and influence his further actions. I apologize, the desire of moving the story forward pushed me to post before I received these informations, but my recent conjectures made me guess that these informations wouldn't be as benign as I believed they were. Sorry. Chris, you're also (and especially) targeted by this. By no means, however, does this means the comments should falter. I always like criticism, or tasty food to feed my ego with. It is still wanting to get as big as its father, Agudo's. :D |
| Agudo Archmage08-08-04, 09:38 PM | Myranthor I always like criticism, or tasty food to feed my ego with. It is still wanting to get as big as its father, Agudo's. For some reason, this reminds me of the Jack In The Box commercials. The one with Jacks son, who’s has a big head just like Jack’s. My favorite is when Jack’s mom wants him to go get something, and says… “Did I tell you how difficult giving birth to you was?” :ayyyy!: The next seen shows Jack walking out to the helicopter pad, and turning off the car/helicopter alarm {Chirp, Chirp} O’ well after the last (Before Edited Post) by Myranthor, may just give him and Leetah a little bouncing baby Myran Jr. If you thought Leetah cried a lot now? :weep: Just wait until Leetah is at the Agudo School of Light and Magic infirmary. Waiting for the Cleric to tell her if the Rabbit died! ( That’s an old test for seeing if your PG) Hay Kheldar!!! How would that play out between you and Leetah? :mymy: Ya know Chris/Gordon, now that should be in your coming story game Talk about drama! :schemes: |
| malik2108-08-04, 10:10 PM | |

| kulideb08-11-04, 03:16 AM | Unfortunately Myran doesnt live any where near Vancouver :( (Not sure about Chris and Gordon.) |
| Drindin08-11-04, 01:53 PM | I live in stony plain! The imaginary community fourty kilometers west of Edmonton (or Edomonton as the japanese call it!) Where the easter bunny lives! |
| Leetah08-12-04, 05:44 AM | We live only a few hours away from Vancouver, but please don't feel like you have to come by and visit us. . . . . .- -. . .- -. . . . . .We'll understand. . . |

| Good Knight08-21-04, 11:41 PM | Drindin Does Voll honestly smell that bad? Normally I would not air such smelly laundry publicly. Yet as a righteous knight, I am bound the honor of telling the truth. :fight!: So yes, Voll you have made one to many trips to the sulfur pits of heck. And not enough trips to the bathhouse of the realm. Or I just need to rely less on Microsoft Word  |
| Bonze08-22-04, 03:33 PM | As soon as tomorrow will strike, Maxime won't be as free as he was, for he will be starting college! He promises, however, to try to keep up in any thread he was in. He just wanted me to tell you, is all. |
| kulideb08-31-04, 06:48 AM | ~Wow! the boards have changed!~ Hiya all! I had a great time in Canada! I went hiking, horse riding, hiking, boating, hiking, shopping, and more hiking! plus lots of driving round...well hubby did the driving not me! Canada seems to be full of very nice people! every one we met was very freindly and helpful, now all I have to do is get over the jet lag! :) |
| Agudo Archmage08-31-04, 10:31 AM | I know what your saying Kulideb. For I just posted yesterday and it didnt look anything like this. Big :D for the new colors as well. Oh ya good to have ya back with us and glad that Gordon/Chris and Myran didnt chase you all over Canada yelling Kuli its me its me! :mymy: Just a neat thing they have going now |
| Drindin08-31-04, 06:07 PM | I know what your saying Kulideb. For I just posted yesterday and it didnt look anything like this. Big :D for the new colors as well. Oh ya good to have ya back with us and glad that Gordon/Chris and Myran didnt chase you all over Canada yelling Kuli its me its me! :mymy: Just a neat thing they have going now Well now! Is Alberta no longer a recognized part of Canada? Curse you Ralph Klein! Now I'm no longer considered to be part of Canada due to your PC Politics! Or is it just because I kept my quiet Canadian mouth shut and never pointed out I was from Canada, even though I really shouldn't have needed too because it's right in my profile? Bah! Whatever. LONG LIVE ALBERTA! |
| ruthia08-31-04, 10:31 PM | Agudo dear, that color absolutely KILLS my eyes! Maxime dear, Have a good time at College. Remeber, It's nothing like High School. You'll do great. And we all know you'll keep up with the rest of us else I'll have to sick Malendor on you  |
| Agudo Archmage09-01-04, 01:35 PM | What? Drindin your your yoooouuuurrrr a Canadan? :mymy: Is everyone from Canada now? Am I and Ruthia, the only Americans left on the Wizo boards? Canadian conspiracy perhaps to take over Net space  Ruthia my elegant dragon friend, per haps darker green will be more to your liking. :D I have also seen that the new boards/upgrade no longer alows shaded back ground. That could help with the lighter colors.... Over all I still like the new set up though  |
| Drindin09-01-04, 04:47 PM | Conspiracy? Not our style. More like blatant invasion with canoos and moose-cavalry. :smirk: |
| malik2109-01-04, 05:56 PM | I'm from America :) and proud of it.Now if you invade us(or we even think you will invade us) we will retaliate with tanks,AK 47s,a couple of hydrogen bombs, and who knows what else(only if Bush is still president,If Kerry is pres. who knows what will happen when that snot nosed democrat comes into office :D Sorry just had to spit that out) |
| Khaira09-01-04, 09:13 PM | American I am, though with Bush as Pres. I'm almost ashamed to say so. A Wisconsinite I remain... By the way, the reason I have been in lack of postings is because I've been occupied by registration from hell (oops, did I say that out loud? I meant college. :D), which took FOREVER. That, and I've been busy moving...I mean, helping everyone else move. |
| malik2109-01-04, 09:18 PM | I'm pro-bush pro-American and proud of it.If it were Kerry and Saddam Hussein runing ....I'd vote for Saddam....Maybe I'm just anti-kerry...hmmm |
| Khaira09-01-04, 09:31 PM | Well, I really don't want this to turn into a political debate - we can do that in private email if such is desired. So, in hopes to nip this in the bud before either of us gets too carried away, I'll just "To each their own." |
| Drindin09-02-04, 12:24 AM | I didn't know you guys still used Ak-47's, I all ways thought you guys followed the way of M16 for military assault rifles. Well, it's probably better than our sub that doesn't float. Actually, last I checked, we're the only country with an inland Navy! Located right smack in the middle of Alberta--Two submarines docked in West Edmonton mall! |
| Agudo Archmage09-02-04, 01:14 PM | Yes lets stay calm.... No need ro vote right now ;) Even though I think its grand your Pro Bush, I do think the Anti Kerry shot about his runny nose was un called for.....its cold back east where he comes from. :embarrass But really the Wizo people dont like things to get to nasty on the Boards. So you may want to think about editing that post. Sooooooo Khaira, when will this fun! But stuck game get the kick it needs to move along? :D |
| Khaira09-02-04, 07:31 PM | That's reason I decided to stop the political debate before it got too out of hand. When I start debating, I tend to ...*ahem* get a little carried away, and take things too close to heart. It must be my German/Irish background... And, besides, it's just not the place for it. Anyway, yes, I hope the thread will get moving fairly soon. I may have to kick it into gear pretty soon...I wish Rayek and Tyrion would post soon. :weep: |
| Myranthor09-03-04, 07:15 PM | ((OOC Myranthor word of the day “suffusing” Ya know if it wasn’t for Microsoft Word ability to look up some of these words… I would have know idea what Myran was talking about. Just teasing Myran, but now that you’re in college, your going to be unstoppable )) The others seem lost in thought, as Agudo stood by waiting for Khaira to be brought forth. It would seem that many things in this trail was not going as plan. Even Myranthor normally cool and aloof demur, was lost as he chastised Malendor for his indecisive response. Yes, college is indeed stimulating in this domain. I like to develop my spoken abilities, and for once, (probably because my college is all about arts and acceptance of others, who knows?) people actually like this trait, or, at least, don't collapse and suffer multiple convulsions like in High School. Regarding more IC matters, however, nothing in Myranthor's tone marked impatience, or that he chastised Malendor, and this wasn't even his intention. Of course, Agudo and Malendor can perceive it any way they would, but I simply wanted to point out this tiny fact. Enjoy a good [insert the time-lapse that will flow until I speak with you again]! |
| Agudo Archmage09-04-04, 09:33 PM | I understand Myranthor, but I was desperate to post something to get this story going. I could have posted that a fly landed on the table near by as we waited..... but your last post and helpful hint to Malendor seem a better focus for Agudo thoughts. :) |

| Agudo Archmage09-09-04, 11:58 AM | I see some dragons need to show off how big they are! ;) Is that why your happy/frowny face is biger than everyone else Ruthia? |
| Rayek09-09-04, 03:05 PM | Um if Khaira escaped how am I talking to her???? Oops! Didn't Kharia escape from the Tent she was bound in? Or was Ruthia just in that tent talking to her. I thought Ruthia was with Agudo and the others, and that Kharia had escaped from her confines to join them. But maybe I'm wrong. Oh well. If Ell and Orik's post doesn’t make a 'lick of sense,' then just ignore it. :) * * * On a side note, sorry about stalling on the inclusion of Rayek and Tyrion. Both Gord and I have been a bit hesitant in including them because we're not entirely sure when or where they should appear. I was going to have them show up as soon as the trial got in session. And, speaking of the Trial getting in session, I think we should definitely get the trial running as soon as possible. After all, this thread was dedicated to the trial. Whatever's going on with Leetah an her bizarre behaviour should be set aside and left on the back burner until this trial gets resolved. Kharia should be the primary focus of this thread, not Leetah. It's already been established that something’s not right with Leetah and that the girl at the trial may or may not be an impostor. I don't think we should dig any deeper than that. The questions of WHY an impostor was sent in Leetah's place, or WHO sent this impostor to attend the Trial should all be answered AFTER the primary focus of this thread had been concluded. I know it may seem out of character for a lot of you're PC's, but I really think Leetah's fate should be left alone at this point in the story. In fact, I'm almost considering just pulling Leetah from the story right now. The next time someone enters her tent to find her she may be missing. I don't mean to impede on anyone's plans to discover what's really going on with the young Cleric, but I honestly don't want Leetah's fate to interfere with this thread. It's already caused too many delays. Anyway, if you have any suggestions I'm always open to them. Happy Posting Everyone! - Chris |
| Khaira09-09-04, 05:15 PM | Yes, Ruthia is right. Khaira is not absent from the tent...she is still there, she is just not under any form of constraint. So, whoever poked their head into the tent would have seen Khaira and Ruthia merely sitting back and enjoying a glass of wine and chatting. I was hoping that this thread would get to the actual trial stuff soon. It seems kind of silly to me to have the thread named "Trial of Khaira" and have two pages devoted to hunting Leetah. I personally think it would be wise to push Leetah off to the side, at least for now, until the mainstuff of the trial is resolved. Otherwise, too many people may lose interest ... myself included. |
| Agudo Archmage09-10-04, 12:25 PM | Well then as DM Khaira, you should use your all powerful DM powers and just say in your next post. That Rayk and the other gaurds were so angrey  at being tricked by the to sneaky for her own good Khaira. That they Drag her by her firey red hair into the court room  |
| kulideb09-11-04, 06:06 AM | Emm....Is Kulideb (and Shades) and Voll still needed by Agudo and Myranthor? If not please can some one tell them to sit as the trial is about to start :) |
| PoisonBlade09-11-04, 06:54 AM | Now now now. I wouldn't excuse them all so soon. First they should at least resolve what they're going to do with the girl inside the tent. Her presence can't just be ignored. I would recommend trying to resolve it quickly though. The trial is about to begin. Should she be killed? Subdued? Left alone to go about her merry way? I wont decide for you. So common guys, make a plan and stick to it. There's no time left to debate. ;) Depending what you guys decide upon will depend on whether or not she gets pulled. . . |
| Myranthor09-12-04, 10:34 AM | Hey, Hey, kids! Today, Maxime will once again show how much he loses time over tiny details. Such as every time Khaira is called Kharia. Be careful, young people, for the letter "i" is a wanderlusting beast, and often loses itself in the maze of its own travels. If you let it roam around too much, it will become entranched in its anarchist lifestyle, and will never be tamed again. Bonze isn't bronze, either. "Bronze" is a metal, while "bonze" is a japanese or chinese buddhist monk. Although many of the latter were sculpted in the former, they are not necessarily identical in meaning. Be careful, for while, even if a rose was called a skunk, it wouldn't lose its suave perfume, it would nonetheless lose much of its romantical impression on us. Have a good day |
| Agudo Archmage09-12-04, 12:22 PM | Headmaster Agudo shakes his head. "Its my fault really. For I let Myranthor spend way too much time in the Agudo school library. And not enough time playing with the other students." "I thought by introducing him to Elvina, he would stop counting all the " i " in the scrolls. Instead Myranthor tried to show her all the words that come with " I " and even had the nerve in asking Elvina, why she didn’t have more than one " i " in her name." "As we all know how that rocky relationship workout" |
| Drindin09-13-04, 11:36 PM | For those of you who don't know. Shades IS visible  ! It was his late, and past brother Drindin who was invisible, so I can understand why you think he might not be visible. Just for future reference. Thank you for you co-operation. I post this in response to an e-mail from a person who shall not be named. |
| Agudo Archmage09-14-04, 12:24 AM | :mymy: "Cough" |
| Voll09-14-04, 12:36 AM | AAAAAHHH! My browser just crashed and deleted Voll's post! *Starts weeping uncontrollably* Oh well, time to write it again. Oh! And Drindin, you'll be happy to hear that Voll tried to include Shades in the small party that's about to venture off to Leetah's tent. We can't have your character missing out on the fun. ;) |
| Ramoth09-16-04, 08:14 AM | *A loud snore is heard from the Jurior stands. Beljames and Ramoth can be seen leaning on each other sound asleep.............* Oh Keldorn? I have a question for you. Wine? Was that the strong smell of wine on Ruthia? How does one glass of wine produce a strong smell around a person???????????  |
| Good Knight09-16-04, 03:00 PM | Ramoth How does one glass of wine produce a strong smell around a person??????????? I can see you have never had the pleasure of a strong wine from a "Jug" Some would call that cheap wine, lets just say one glass is all it takes. |
| Ramoth09-16-04, 03:21 PM | Ahh, see this is where you are wrong my fine friend. See I am talking about Benden Wine. This is a fine white wine produced on Pern with a slightly berry taste to it. Only reason it is in a jug is because Pern does not produces lass bottles in which to carry it in. Benden is the prefered wine of all Lords and Ladies on Pern. If some one wants to get drunk and smell bad they'd drink the cheaper stuff, say from Tillek prehaps. Ahh yes my dear friend you would truely have to taste Perns wines inorder to appreciate the fine differnces between them and what others believe is wine. :) |
| Good Knight09-16-04, 03:27 PM | Ramoth Ahh yes my dear friend you would truely have to taste Perns wines inorder to appreciate the fine differnces between them and what others believe is wine. Can someone hear the corks poping, even as we speak? :D |

| Gene_Kynes09-17-04, 12:00 AM | Hey. Mind if I slip in? |
| Drindin09-17-04, 02:57 AM | It is open to all, so you really shouldn't have to ask... But that decision is up to the GM's! |
| kulideb09-17-04, 02:58 AM | Gene!! :) |
| Khaira09-17-04, 11:30 AM | It is, indeed, open to all. Right now, we're kind of at a standstill, waiting for Agudo and Myranthor to arrive. You could probably jump in anytime, or wait and make a subtle, yet stylish, entrance. |
| Ramoth09-17-04, 10:20 PM | :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: GENE! GENE! GENE! Hey everyone look! Dante is still alive!!!!! :smirk: Guess that means Lioth didn't eat him after all! |
| Agudo Archmage09-18-04, 12:29 AM | Well your demise was greatly exaggerated I see! Welcome back Dante :) |
| Voll09-24-04, 04:21 PM | Just to let everyone know, Voll hasn't quite killed off the succubus yet. He's just in the process of bearing his sword down towards her. There's still time to intervene if anyone wants to keep her alive for questioning. ;) Oh, and before I forget, welcome back Gene! Long time no see! |

| PoisonBlade09-25-04, 02:17 AM | YAY! Agudo to the rescue! There were just a few concerns I had about your post. (lol, like a can talk. I can think of a hundred things wrong with Leetah's) Agudo wrote: Like a blur dozens of people were being incinerated before him. Ahem. I might have gone a little over the top when I described the succubus' attack. The blast of her spell was nowhere near large enough to kill dozens. The nova's diameter was only large enough to take out three small tents located in the secluded southern portion of the encampment. (The tent that the succubus was in and the two tents that were located directly beside it.) Only two people were placed in any danger of dying from the attack: Kulideb and Shades. Remember, Voll had kept his distance from the tent in fear that the succubus might have heard him approaching, and Myranthor only sent in an illusionary double of himself meaning that the real him could still be standing safely away from the carnage. (In all actuality, I had prayed that Shades would also keep his distance, thus averting any risk to him being included in the attack. ) Kulideb, I'm sorry, but your character was intended to be near the vicinity of the explosion. However, I knew there were multiple ways that you could address this predicament. First, you could take the "damsel in distress approach," and have Kulideb grievously wounded and in need of help. Or second, you could have had her shadow jump away to safety prior to the full brunt of the explosion. Of course, there's always the third and final option, but I really doubted that you would elect to have your character keel over and die. ;) Shades, my apologies extend to you as well. Hopefully Agudo's spells will help get ya back on your feet. I really wasn’t sure how you'd avoid taking any damage from the spell, but I'm glad to see that you opted the humble approach of having your character badly wounded. Don't worry. You'll get your chance for revenge. I somehow doubt this succubus is going to escape the encampment. :) Sorry if I upset anyone with Leetah's last post. Please know that it is never my intention to kill anyone's character off, despite how badly my villains may wish to see it happen. Okay. All things set aside, would the survivors of the attack please band together to catch that annoying demon? Before she unleashes anymore ridiculous attacks. PoisonBlade PS: Please also note that I did try to keep everyone's freedom of destiny in mind during that post. Never in my post did I declare the deaths of anyone’s character nor did I make any remarks as to the remains of their body. I did, however, write that the succubus believed that she had killed two of Agudo's friends. Just because she thought they had died, doesn’t mean that they actually had. Okay! Time to stop covering for my own post. :P Happy posting everyone! |
| Myranthor09-25-04, 06:14 AM | Hello Chris I couldn't help but let go one critic (I hope is constructive), as well as a little something that has escaped me. Okay, my question is the following : If Kulideb had bound Leetah, how could she ever cast such a spell? I assume it would have somatic components, no? My comment is that the way you described the explosion, I had the oimpression that anyone merely surviving it would seem miraculous. The spell used seemed even more ipressive than one such as meteor blast. Might I suggest toning down a bit you future displays of offensive powres - or give an official reference that may explain the real strength of what your characters used? I know I (don't know about the others) felt like the FOD was greatly damaged, because using it in that case seemed, to me, to go against the violence of the blast you described, and it would simply be impossible to exercise that right and keep the thread coherent. That's just me, but it might help for future posts. Have a good day. |
| Myranthor09-25-04, 07:26 AM | As for Kulideb, there is yet a fourth option to consider : the evasion ability. After all, she's a rogue, and could just have dodged the danger. |
| turalisj09-25-04, 01:34 PM | dont forget my psionic rogue. i came in just after the blast. though i might have to edit that post some. |
| turalisj09-25-04, 04:32 PM | i think my blast and shades dagger was enough to kill anyone. my character put every bit of energy into that strike. either that or she'll just have one big headache :P |
| Khaira09-25-04, 04:36 PM | Okay. All things set aside, would the survivors of the attack please band together to catch that annoying demon? Before she unleashes anymore ridiculous attacks. PoisonBlade And catch her before the trial is delayed any further! Ahem. :) |
| turalisj09-25-04, 04:48 PM | would you rather i turn her (not litterally) into a vegtable? i could just wipe out her mind. |
| Agudo Archmage09-25-04, 10:15 PM | Yes well maybe I over estimated how big the tents were for Myranthor and the evil Leetah's near, but not quit, erotic encounter. Teehee. ;) As for Myranthor not being near the explosion…. Its important to say that Agudo did not know of Myranthor’s well thought out plan, of sending in a magical double. I did like Myranthor post about having Voll block Agudo view of him. Explaining why Agudo didn’t see his former student. (Good Save) by Myranthor in keeping things realistic in posts. In truth I always think it’s a good idea to add as much (Fat) as possible to a post. That way people have a clear idea how a Char survives a deadly encounter, or anything else that happens. But at least Shades was saved by Agudo heroicall actions, and it does give Kulideb one of many option to survive like the others said. I would recommend that the succubus, be partly hurt by Myranthor (Flesh to Stone) spell. It’s the easiest way to say what happen after the fact of his post. |
| Rayek09-25-04, 11:15 PM | She'll be more than partly hurt by it. ;) I don't think she’ll being going very far as a stone statue. Good work Myranthor, and kudos to Shades and Turalisj for helping out. I'm sorry that I made such a scene guys, and I'm sorry that I said I had any problems with your post Agudo. You really didn't do anything wrong, I should gone into better detail on my previous posts. Later tonight I'll post as Voll and "Leetah." I'd do it right now, but I've just been invited to go see some friends. Have fun guys! Lots of Luck with your trial Kharia! Show those sceptics that you can pull through this! :D Chirs EDIT: AH! It's too late! I'll have to post tomorrow after work. . . |
| turalisj09-25-04, 11:39 PM | no problem. and remember, im a psionic rouge. that means that i can help a lot when it comes to final judging ;) |
| Myranthor09-26-04, 06:41 AM | Thank you Agudo. I'll, however, admit I really didn't think about explaining or making more sense when I posted I was behind Voll. I just asked myself what would do a wizard, teaming up with a paladin. |
| Agudo Archmage09-26-04, 08:57 PM | No need to apologize Chris it’s always a pleasure to “Story Tale” with you. Glad to see ya posting more! Ha! Thats what I like about working with a fellow Wizard like Myranthor. For when he does something for personal gain, and if he happens to workout for good…. it was by chance ;) |
| ruthia09-26-04, 09:06 PM | Jess turn my eyes away from the computure for a few days and see what happens! Guess I better play catch up........ |

| Gene_Kynes09-27-04, 11:18 PM | Wanna know what I love? When FoD is broken. Now, time for some of my -own- examples. A bit more dramatic. Gene slaughtered Draaco's entire order without hardly any thought, and then killed Draaco, and made everything think Draaco just went crazy and commat soosideh. TEH EDN OF TEH ARE-PEA. Basically, you control your own character, and nothing else. NOTHING else, that wouldn't be under your control. Exception is NPC's you yourself brought in, or summoned creatures. But not other players. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm fairly mellow. But, three things get my blood boiling. A needle stuck into a vein, and then heated until orange, FoD-disruption, and people who can't respect the wall of OOC/IC. So, please. If you godmode, or break FoD, expect us to do the same. And trust us, it will not be pretty. Freedom of Destiny, all. Chaos-created Government. Anarchy, in it's finest form. Don't screw with other people's characters, by jacking control of them, and placing your own actions as the ultimate action to end all, and we won't return the favor. Kthxluvtehfod. Bitterly, -Gene |
| Agudo Archmage09-27-04, 11:39 PM | Yes It true FOD is the only way to play :D For those who are new here, don’t feel bad that you trampled on someone FOD. It happens to us all when we start in one form or another. Now back to my wonderfully looooong post. As some of you or if I am lucky all! May have noticed that I have been doing Flash-Backs, in many of my posts with Agudo. Sometimes too many  But do to the slow start of this over all grand and fun story, by are friend and super DM Khaira  ……As well as the fact that with perfect timing of the return of Gene :D I thought that Agudo reflecting about his students and the lives they had before the war. Would add more depths to the story, and show how much are Char have bounded and grown over the years. Yet its also a reflects on how stressful the war, the loss of Kulideb to the curs by Messianica, and setbacks at the town Daggersfall have been on Agudo. :weep: Just posting this in case others haven’t the time to read my long but hard worked post. ;) |
| Khaira09-27-04, 11:55 PM | I, myself, like the flashbacks. It gives us a glimpse into Agudo's mind and feelings. It just shows us that Agudo isn't just the average Archmage (if there is such a thinkg as an "average" Archmage. heh heh), but an actual human being with thoughts, feelings, and a mind. It's cool! |
| ruthia09-28-04, 12:00 AM | *Grabs Gene's FOD and starts to chew on it.* "MMMM....that's tastey! Anyone got some salt??" :P |
| Agudo Archmage09-28-04, 12:05 AM | Khaira I, myself, like the flashbacks. It gives us a glimpse into Agudo's mind and feelings. It just shows us that Agudo isn't just the average Archmage (if there is such a thinkg as an "average" Archmage. heh heh), but an actual human being with thoughts, feelings, and a mind. It's cool! Ya! Someone read my post Almost starts to cry with tears of joy.... when he sees Ruthia eating Gene FOD :mymy: |
| Eidrog09-28-04, 03:22 AM | A needle stuck into a vein, and then heated until orange, FoD-disruption, and people who can't respect the wall of OOC/IC.Mwa ha ha Gene! You have failed to abide by your own advice and now you shall feel the deathly, life squeezing, torturous grasp of my fiery wrath!! AH HA HA HA HA HAA! Oh boy, but honestly Gene, I'm a bit disappointed with you. . . and that's not a joke. . . Like Gene, I also become very disappointed when IC (In Character) events spill over into OoC (Out of Character) conversation. I think it's one of the most disrespectful things you can do to someone OoC - being rude to them because of what's going on IC. . . And Gene, much to my dismay, that's what you've done. You've rudely addressed the problem here and instead of offering genuine help to Turalisj's player. You've been bitter and spiteful. . . This approach rarely solves anything, and in fact, it usually inflates the existing problem as rude advice is often ignored to spite the person being spiteful. Most breaches of FoD are due to ignorance of the rules. And since the official ISRP rules are so difficult to find now-a-days, I can hardly blame anyone for not being familiar with the rules. A new player will often just see others role-playing fantastic characters, and want to jump right in on the action! It's fun! That's why we do it! And quite understandably, new players want to be a part of that experience too! - That's how I started. And you know what happened? I did exactly what Turalisj did. Exactly! Without any knowledge of the rules I posted as my favorite EPIC LEVEL ASSASSIN! (Whom I've since severely decreased in power. . . but not too much. . . tee hee) The way I saw it, this was my favorite D&D character, I worked hard building him up to epic level so obviously he was going to be the very best assassin out there! Your character? -Phhbt! My character kills him in one blow easy! Can you hit my character? NO! His dexterity is way too high, besides he has a Ring of Sequestering so he's completely invisible and can't be detected via any divination spells or effects! I played like this for a while, and then, when I was positive I had reached the ultimate pinnacle of "role-playing." My favorite assassin killed another player's demonic character, and Voll, the mighty and invincible Cleric of Torm used his unfathomable powers to damn the Demon's vile soul so the wicked beast could never raise to harm an innocent person again! . . Good had triumphed, and evil was destroyed! Remember this story Gene? ;) He can vouch for me, I'm not making it up. Any way. . . Was what I'd done right? I took another player's valuable character, and took it away from him. I said, my character's stronger, and therefore I have the right to take yours away from you. . . Well, right then and there I obviously broke FoD! Was it because I'm a sniveling jerk with no respect for others and I actively enjoy making other people miserable? - No. . . I just really didn't know any better, I had no idea what I had done was wrong. . . Luckily, neither did the other guy. . . And I'm very glad, because if he did I'd have probably received the same sort of treatment Gene gave Turalisj. And after that I may have done one of two things. Retaliate (as I've seen so many others do) and become even more disruptive, or just leave ISRP in disgust. Fortunately, both me and Voll's players discussed about what we had done. . . That's the nice thing about being brothers I suppose. . . and when we looked back at what we had done, we thought about how horrible it was! With no notion that FoD even existed, we could see that what we did was certainly wrong, and very unfair. So, Torm revived the Demon on the Demon's word that it would end it's evil ways. . . Of course, right after being revived it turned right back into an awful Demon - but at that point we were just relieved that the player could have fun with his Demon character again! :) Boy! I wish everyone could go through an experience like that! We'd all be on the same page then! Hee hee. . . Any way, this is why I get so upset when someone who breaks FoD is treated. . . well. . . poorly. . . Because I was that person once! It's not someone's fault that they don't instantly know the ISRP rules the moment they start playing. If they make a mistake it's better to politely inform them of it. . . more likely than not, they're not actively trying to break the rules to upset people, they just don't know of them. Ha ha! Boy I'm sounding like a broken record! Well, I haven't done a speech like this since the last one. . ! Heh, and we know what happened to him. . . He didn't take my advice. Just as a final word, I wouldn't mind touching base with character power. As I mentioned before, my lovable, huggable assassin was once an invincible warlord teeming with super powers! But the truth is, and we all find out one way or another, super powers don't really gain you the respect of others. In fact, the more abusive one is with his "special powers," the more other character's (and in truth, other players) will dislike the character. Typically, the best way for a character to gain appeal with other characters is through excellent roleplaying! You don't need any special powers, all you need is a personality that's fun for other's to interact with - and your character will be a hit! This doesn't necessarily mean you have to be friendly. . . But remember, a character who constantly belittles everyone else is not very likely to make a lot of friends! :) And if your character is being exceptionally mean, do what Ruthia did! Make a small note that it's just roleplaying! As long as your fellow role-players know you love them, they can't help but love you back! And when you're among friends, you can get away with a lot more! And to my dear friends - I HATE CLICKS! - Hee hee, which is something I see us becoming! I don't want us to chase away every new player that wants to join in. . . everyone deserves a fair chance! :) Here are the official ISRP rules: What is Interactive Storytelling RolePlaying? (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=community/chat/isrp) It's worth giving it a read if you haven't seen them before! Whew-* Okay, I think I'm done! . . Everyone take a cookie on yer way out - You deserve it! :cookie: Except you Ruthia!! You have to wait until you're done digesting Gene's FoD. . . ;) PS: Gene, I know you're a good person. . . But shame on you! You should know better after knowing me for so long. :embarrass PSS: Kharia! You came close to receiving this same lecture. . . But I think you cleverly kept everything in character, so I didn't exactly have anything to actually attack you with. . . Still, after yelling at someone in character a pleasant PM or note like Ruthia's is a good idea. . . otherwise OoC relations can quickly start to turn sour. PSSS: One last note on character power. . . While it is possible to successfully work a very powerful character - Special care has to be taken to make sure those powers aren't abused or become disruptive during game play. Agudo Archmage is a wonderful example of this. . . While he works a very powerful character, he carefully tailors his character's power for each adventure and situation, making sure he allows every other player to shine in the limelight, instead of overpower them all like some horrible monster. Okay I think I'm done now! Please gimmie some feed back, or else I feel like I've written this all for nothing. . . :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: Eidrog EDIT: Darnit! I'm going to loose sleep tonight if I end this post with Gene feeling bad! AAAUUURRGH! Gene - BLARRRAGH! HA! I don't hate you - there! WHEEE! Kharia - I don't hate you either! I wub all my buddies! - But lets all play nice, ok? |
| Drindin09-28-04, 09:59 AM | Yay! Another amazingly informative rant by Eidrog! Three cheers, mes compodre! |
| Agudo Archmage09-28-04, 01:10 PM | Eidrog Agudo Archmage is a wonderful example of this. . . While he works a very powerful character, he carefully tailors his character's power for each adventure and situation, making sure he allows every other player to shine in the limelight, instead of overpower them all like some horrible monster. Yippee! Agudo starts prancing about, puffing out his chest in pride. The Wizard of Light then grabs a cookie. At the same time reaching for a peace of Gene FOD from Ruthia. Hearing her growl he snaps his hand back with fear. “Nice Dragy! Agudo pats his hands on his knees. “Come here girl! Want to go for a walk?…. Come on, that it….looks like youve been cooped up to long” ;) Holds out an over sized walking leash. Just a side note about what Eidrog said. Its true I try to let Agudo get hurt by just about anyone or anything. If it makes the game more fun or real. I hope some of you have seen that I have been calling Agudo the Wizard of Light. Not Archmage....Why? Well some on the boards have told me that (Agudo and Kheldar) are so powerful that they felt like they needed to pump up thier Char to more Epic levels. It made me sad to think that the word Archmage, was throwing people off. Sooooo out with the Archmage in with Wizard of Light. For all you low level Char out there, stay the way you are!] For your the spice of life to the game! Kulideb started out low, and went to Agudo school to learn more from other more powerfull Char. She played with Gene, Agudo, and many others and then Kulideb's Char grew in "Story" depth "AKA" Level. I promise if any of you level one Chars, come along and want to punch Agudo in the nose. Do it! :mymy: Most of the time I think it makes the game more fun. :D |
| Gene_Kynes09-28-04, 06:50 PM | Bleh. I wasn't in the best of moods. More of a "RAWR KILL ALL" kinda mood. That, and my once-somewhat-kind rudeness became inyo'momma'sface rudeness. ;_; ... ._. Solly. |
| Khaira09-28-04, 07:09 PM | It's not entirely Gene's fault. I was the original poster of the FoD rant...but I thought I did a poor job of explaining it. So, really, it's my fault, and not Gene's, for asking him to help me out. Or maybe it's both our faults. Regardless...yes, you are right, Eidrog. Having been an ISRP'er for a long time, I tend to forget how little new people realize when they are ... well ... new. I *should* have taken a breather, and then posted my concern. It's always nice to have a clear head offer some valuable, level input. Like I said, I tend to forget how little new people know, and thus, get aggravated when I see them not following all the nice, little, cut-and-dry rules that all of us veterans follow so simply. My appologies to you, Turalisj, if I offended, scared you off, or otherwise impeded your right to fun on the 'Boards. My appologies, also, to anyone who the FoD-rant offended. Y'all can write me hate mail later. :D I will say, though, Turalisj, that I hope you know where I'm coming from. A lot of work has been put into this thread and, naturally, I tend to get out of control when I even remotely think that someone intends disruption towards "mah baby!" And, instead of doing the smart, wise thing (taking a breather and then addressing the issue), I acted in a brash, flustered mood...well, two of us did. Again, my appologies if anythign was taken in offense. A lesson learned is a lesson gained. Or is it the other way around? Hell, I don't know! Now that our conflict is (somewhat) resolved, hopefully we can have fun in a not-so-crazy trial... |
| Drindin09-28-04, 07:13 PM | Well, my characters are settled in and ready! Let the show go on the road! |
| Pipers Youth09-28-04, 07:35 PM | I have a confession to make. I secretly have been sending Agudo mail on this subject, on how I criticize the new players and look down on them for not following the rules. Eidrog's speech has made me realize too of how little new people know. I too have made a few mistakes in the past*not bad* that I learned from. I was thinking selfishly and without concern for the new players. :weep: *So quickly Agudo, delete the emails before someone finds out* I am very disappointed in myself because I'm not usually the person to judge. But thus, I have fallen victim to my selfish, bitter humanity. I am very sorry to the person(s) I have secretly corresponded against. I should have been a better person and gave you advice. Please don't take any offense, and leave. Stay, the more, the merrier! It's better to learn from your mistakes, than be ransom to them. Oh, and one more thing,*takes cookie and runs*. |
| turalisj09-28-04, 08:41 PM | *trips pipers* not nice *takes the cookies and throws one to each person* |
| ruthia09-28-04, 09:01 PM | *Ruthia takes Gene's FOD out of her mouth long enough to talk.* "You know folks, this particular fight has happened before. Anyone remeber what started this thread to begin with? The War right? Anyone else remeber the BEGINING players of that war? As I recall most of us had a real problem with Ava, thought the difference here is hopefully turalisj listened to the ranting of the great Eidrog. And looking at his reaction in the previouse post on this OOC thread, I see he has. Good for him, good for us. Now let's get this trail moving before I need some one elses FOD to chew on!" *Ruthia goes back to happily chewing on Gene's FOD, while glaring at Agudo and his leash.* |
| Khaira09-28-04, 09:09 PM | As the old saying goes...pride cometh before the fall. I think we all have learned a valid lesson here. Now that we have things peacefully resolved, and turalisj hasn't run away cursing us all, we can continue the trial (and, hopefully, finish it!), and co-exist as one, big, happy, loving family! Let's all sing Kumbayah! |
| ruthia09-28-04, 09:15 PM | *Sings Kumbayah along with Khaira, though it comes out rather muffled with Gene's FOD in her mouth.............* |
| Agudo Archmage09-29-04, 01:30 PM | Glad you confessed Piper! For Khaira wanted to know, who was emailing me about the FOD problems. Truth be known, I really couldn’t tell her if you had a Char in the game Or if you were just reading along…..Hint…. Hint…To the lovely Lady DM.... we need a list of players in this OOC section. I have honestly lost track of all of those playing the game. :embarrass By the way Khaira have you noticed that Ruthia needs a vacation? ;) |
| Eidrog09-29-04, 04:12 PM | Yay! Thanks for the replies! :bounce: Well Piper's I can hardly get mad at you! - As a matter of fact, I'm very impressed you honestly came out and apologized! - Those thoughts are pretty natural. . . I just like giving others the benefit of the doubt! :) Well, I haven't done a speech like this since the last one. . ! Heh, and we know what happened to him. . . He didn't take my advice. Ruthia, whatever gave you the idea that I was referring to Ava? Any way Turalisj, Pipers is allowed to trip you too! After all, my rant was as much meant for him, Gene, etc, as it was for you too! :) And now on to posting! - urk* I mean work. . . darnit! . . Sigh* and with Halloween coming around the corner my time will really be tight! :mymy: Happy Halloween everyone - I mean Happy Posting! Eidrog |
| Khaira09-29-04, 05:50 PM | Or if you were just reading along…..Hint…. Hint…To the lovely Lady DM.... we need a list of players in this OOC section. I have honestly lost track of all of those playing the game. :embarrass By the way Khaira have you noticed that Ruthia needs a vacation? ;) I move that we all vote to send Ruthia on a lovely, li'l vacation, before she rips every character involved into itty, bitty, little, tiny pieces and uses them to decorate her tower... And...hm...Agudo, are you implying that we need a list of all those currently involved? I almost didn't catch that subtle hint! I'm going to try to recollect all those currently involved.... Participants in the Trial Judge: Ruthia Bailiff: Malendor Record-Keeper-type thing: Starbright Jury (long list...let me know if I forgot anyone...) Bonze, Kulideb, Shades, Ug (who hasn't posted...ahem...makes me wonder if he's still interested...ahem), Larinthiose (who also hasn't posted past the introduction...), Voll, Malik, Pipers Youth/Jedit, Beljames (who I believe backed out), Ramoth, Krissy?, Kel'Rea? Prosecution: Keldorn, Agudo Defense: Myranthor, Khaira Escort: Rayek, Tyrion Miscellaneous: Gene, Turalisj/Dagoon, "Leetah", Evander, the whole class of bards from Agudo's school. Hm...I do belive that's it. I hope that's it, at least. That was 5 minutes looking at each page of each thread! |

| Khaira10-03-04, 09:36 PM | Your impatient, grumpy DM calling out to the ever-quiet Land of Posting... Wondering where everyone has gone to... Are we just waiting on Keldorn? jeez...what a slow poke! I suppose all that armor (and the ego ;) ) must be weighing him down. |
| Good Knight10-04-04, 12:45 PM | My fault I didn’t see the very light blue part of Ruthia post. Sorry everyone! :embarrass |
| ruthia10-04-04, 12:52 PM | :embarrass Sorry |
| Good Knight10-04-04, 01:54 PM | Perfectly understandable! For you see Knight and Dragons normally don’t get along. So its no surprise that Ruthia subconsciously tried to trip me up. Something about those pointy javelins and the soft underbelly that puts them in a bad mood.:fight!: |
| ruthia10-04-04, 01:57 PM | Ahh, yes my friend, but Ruthia is not a normal dragon. After all she married a Red wizard, is friends with an Archmage of Light, and raised a Red dragon to be nice :D |
| Pipers Youth10-04-04, 06:05 PM | Ahh, yes my friend, but Ruthia is not a normal dragon. Bad dragon, shame on you. :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: *Rolls up newspaper and smacks dragon on nose* Thread is going great guys, good job! Now everyone give themselves a good pat on the shoulder. Except bad dragons who marry red wizards! I have a question though. After the prosecuter and defense are finished do we get to awww and ooooo? I really want to badly. P.S Please don't eat me Ruthia  Jury member :king: |
| turalisj10-04-04, 08:00 PM | umm, which dragon are you talking about? there's ruthia and then me. im a bronze dragon but i have no clue what kind ruthia is...... |
| Khaira10-05-04, 01:35 AM | Hands everyone a bloody, disembodied hand in order to pat themselves with. Except Ruthia. Khaira hands Ruthia TWO! The thread is moving along rather nicely. It'll be interesting to see how the two sides banter back and forth in court! I wonder what the jurors will decide? Execution? Exile from all of Faerun? Banishment to the Abyss? Or...horror of all horrors...enslaving her to Keldorn...then again, that'd be more of a torture for Keldorn the Khaira... :schemes: Ruthia married a red wizard! | turalisj10-05-04, 07:23 AM | if they send her to you, kanziel, they might as well torture her for the rest of her life. |
| ruthia10-05-04, 12:13 PM | Ruthia is a white dragon, her profile is stored up on the character sheet sticky on the top of the MoP board. As for the punishment here well....... *Ruthia crosses her legs and draps them over one arm of her easy chair she has set up in this OOC thread.* "Now see it depends. If it's up to me we would hold a tradiational Pern exicution. I'd take her Between and leave her there :schemes: " *For a discription of Between read my signature :D |
| Agudo Archmage10-05-04, 12:37 PM | Ruthia After all she married a Red wizard, is friends with an Archmage of Light, and raised a Red dragon to be nice Now that brings us back to Malendor's "Sig" Something about being truely evil? Not to pop your motherly ego....but your Red Dragon maybe going through those rebel years :mymy: |

| turalisj10-05-04, 07:03 PM | lol. i think the punishment for anyone from now on is spending a year with kharia. they would go insane in seconds... |
| Khaira10-06-04, 04:12 PM | Oh No! Turalisj has caught on to my secret power...he must be exterminated! |

Not to pop your motherly ego....but your Red Dragon maybe going through those rebel years :mymy: Ahh, yes my dear friends, but see this is where you may be wrong. You all ASSUME Ruthia to be a nice white dragon, yet do you really know her? Have you REALLY meet the TRUE Ruthia? One of these days I may let her true nature out, just to see if she is really good or evil, but for now I'll just let you ASSUME! :schemes: lol. i think the punishment for anyone from now on is spending a year with kharia. they would go insane in seconds... | Khaira10-06-04, 11:11 PM | no khaira = sanity restored to the world. You DARE to imply that I am sane? How dare you! Insolent wretch! I shall braid your hair and place much makeup on you for punishment. HA! |

| Good Knight10-09-04, 10:41 PM | Sorry Ruthia I made the post before reading your last one. Hope you dont mind editing your last one :embarrass It just would be waaaaay to hard to fix mine. Sorry! ;) |
| ruthia10-09-04, 10:51 PM | Next time read before you Write....Well I'll just repost part of it below you. :teach: Next time remeber.....I'M JUDGE....AND I DIDN'T GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SPEAK OUT OF LINE! :banghead: I've recently attend a trail...So I was going to do this like that trail went. You'll see...Have faith.... |
| ruthia10-09-04, 11:08 PM | Sorry Good Knight, I didn't mean to sound like I was berating you here........... :( Just trying to make do with my little 5 minute post that barely say enough.....Gets frusterating when I compare my post to the rest of you writing mamoths....I don't hold a candle to you guys...... :( |
| Good Knight10-09-04, 11:14 PM | You could threaten to hold me in contempt of court! That way you can put back your last post! And I could add something to my own. Such as Firecam interrupted the Judge by his over dramatic clapping. Drowning out her words for a side bar. That way you can still do whatever you were planning. Besides I am knight and your a dragon. We shall always make each other mad ;) |
| turalisj10-09-04, 11:18 PM | and im a half-dragon..........so where would that stick me? |
| ruthia10-09-04, 11:21 PM | and im a half-dragon..........so where would that stick me? :( uummm....as the snack I offer before The Knight and I have a duel?????? :mymy:  |
| turalisj10-09-04, 11:24 PM | ............and what kind of dragon are you? black? red? im half-bronze myself. |
| Good Knight10-09-04, 11:25 PM | :fight!: Yum food :) But back to my idea of the clapping drowning out Ruthia words (See my other post just beofre this one) What do you think?" |
| ruthia10-09-04, 11:27 PM | sure...you out clapped me...sound good, Good Knight. And for turalisj, I'm a White Dragon...But Not of the normal varity |
| turalisj10-09-04, 11:30 PM | sure...you out clapped me...sound good, Good Knight. And for turalisj, I'm a White Dragon...But Not of the normal varity i can tell normally im on very good terms with white dragons. they seem to be more honourable then other metallic dragons. |
| ruthia10-09-04, 11:40 PM | Ok Good Knight, my post are fixed. Yes Ruthia is not normal, but for very good reasons. She is NOT a metallic dragon. Yes I know she's white and thats a metallic color, but Ruthia doesn't come from those types of Books. Ruthua comes from a group of books based on a world called "Pern" where all dragons work together and where created by scientist on that planet to battle an acient mence. Pern Dragons are as alike to normal dragons as Knights are to demons....... |
| Good Knight10-10-04, 12:02 AM | Great added an extra line to my own. Also its good to hear your not like other white dragons. From what I have read of Kheldar posts on Evil intintions. Your kind is seen as Evil, :mymy: Dumb, Angry, Beasts :behold: But hay thats just one Assasins opinion and should not be used in this story to get the Judge to find his rescuer guilty. :D |
| turalisj10-10-04, 12:05 PM | *notes the fact that his character is a rouge and that killing someone would get him into the assasins* :D |
| Khaira10-11-04, 01:54 PM | I already collaborated with Ruthia about this, but I, myself, am not quite sure...and I'd like some opinions. Both Myranthor and Keldorn made some convincing arguments. Guilty Until Proven Innocent Technically, since Rayek caught Khaira in the act of freeing Kheldar, she is guilty. That is, of course, why she was bound and guarded and the like. The majority of the people, I'd assume, do believe that she is guilty...she had an armed escort and everything, so it is clear that most people (or, perhaps, should we say, those from the Army of Light (*ahem* biased *ahem*)), did perceive Khaira as guilty. Effectively, Khaira would be guilty until proven innocent. BUT! On the flip side of the moral spectrum, we also have: Innocent Until Proven Guilty From the court's point of view (and what not), Rayek and Tyrion were participants in the Army of Light and the war, and thus would possess a biased opnion. Furthermore, Rayek and Tyrion do not have direct, physical, solid evidence to show that would prove that Khaira DID help Kheldar escape...they only have what they heard and saw...which, if I'm not mistaken, in the court of law, is percieved as heresay ... meaning, they may have saw Khaira and they may have heard Khaira, but there is no evidence to prove such a thing. Thus, arguably, one could say that it should be innocent until proven guilty...there is no hard, physical evidence; the only witnesses at the exact time that the scene of the crime took place are Tyrion and Rayek, who would, possibly, have a biased opinion. I guess, when I started this, I was basically copying the standard courts of today...innocent until proven guilty. It could swing either way, though, come to think of it. As you can see, I lean heavily towards innocent until proven guilty. I'd like some opinions from other people, though (Myranthor and Keldorn excluded...we already know where you two stand! ;) ) ... Do you think the general atmosphere should be: - Innocent Until Proven Guilty or -Guilty Until Proven Innocent And most importantly ... why? If you sound convincing enough, you just might persuade me to lean the other way. :) And, it'll give me some kind of an idea on how I should make my decision, by having some opinions from other people. |
| turalisj10-11-04, 04:19 PM | quick q: are we going by the standards of dnd here? or can i have my char be like a truthsayer from dune? although im sure not many have read that book.......... |
| Myranthor10-11-04, 05:39 PM | Even though we already know MY position, I felt like I would add somet hings myself, for exemple, this excerpt from the "Universal declaration of human rights" (Or whatever its name in english.). I know some will tell that these declarations maybe are not legitimate in a fantasy setting. To this, I must disagree, simply because much of the other rules we use ARE the same as those we use in real life : The court, the fair trial with a defender and a prosecutor, the fact murder and lie are forbidden by law and punishable by death, allcome from our own society. For this reason, I thought of using real documents and real laws and to use them in this very thread, simply for sake of completeness and realism. Without that focus, we could always decide that helping someone escape isn't a crime anymore, let it there, and hapily leave dancing through the infinite fields of golden Elysium. (1) Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence. I also believe we could use almost every law ever created, because, if we are in the medieval times, we are WAY ahead of what could've done humans, because of how much time elves, dwarves, and the Netherese could have created as laws before the current time. Magic also takes the place of technology, offering morals and philosophies an environnment to ours, if not a better. The question is not of "Has the law already passed?", but a question of "Is the law used here?". And, if I remember correctly, we are around Hillsfar, and the very Lady of Hillsfar stands with us in the Court. Wwill the army of Light let liberty and the new Queen decide how it wants to rule its people, or will it continue its tyrannical oppression of the many lands its bloody maw gnawed under its steel teeth? Dilemmas, dilemmas.... (Have a good day) |
| Agudo Archmage10-11-04, 08:17 PM | Khaira I'd like some opinions from other people, though Well now I am glad you asked (WARNING) Agudo *Ego* is getting bigger. Does the I am feeling :turkey::mage: Cocky :mage::turkey: dance Khaira ....Furthermore, Rayek and Tyrion do not have direct, physical, solid evidence to show that would prove that Khaira DID help Kheldar escape...they only have what they heard and saw...which, if I'm not mistaken, in the court of law, is percieved as heresay ... meaning, they may have saw Khaira and they may have heard Khaira, but there is no evidence to prove such a thing...... The reason why I am glad you asked is the hearsay is not normally allowed in court of law. Do to it being a 3rd person/hand- review of what someone else said and saw. Kind a like a "Friend of a Friend" heard and saw... and let me tell you the story of what happen :mymy: But Rayek and Tyrion are (first hand) and would be called eye-witness. How do I know all this? Well like I said, I am feeling cocky :D do to me passing my test to be a reserved Police officer. :tiphat: So as far as keeping this real or fantasy....it has half and half. Rayek and Tyrion saw Khaira do it; and now guard you in the same court that they will proclaim what they saw. (Sneaky Army of Light Huh?) ;) But hay I vote ...... Innocent Until Proven Guilty Just becouse Ruthia is the fly in the ointment of the story (That's a Good thing Ruthia  ) In other words she is from another world/Dragon who likes to play with the lives of lesser folks  |
| Khaira10-12-04, 12:33 AM | quick q: are we going by the standards of dnd here? or can i have my char be like a truthsayer from dune? although im sure not many have read that book.......... Hm...have not read Dune, unfortunately...I was assuming that we were going by the standards of D&D...would you elaborate on what you mean when you say "truthsayer from dune"? And good arguments, Myranthor and Agudo... Well now I am glad you asked (WARNING) Agudo *Ego* is getting bigger. And, Agudo, just because you are elaborating on some information and contributing your opinion does not mean you have a big ego. :) The reason I posted this question is to get opinions from people about what they think. Feel free to disagree with me. Just because I am the DM of this thread doesn't mean I'm always right. Just most of the time. ;) |
| Drindin10-12-04, 01:39 AM | I and Shades believe in innocent until proven guilty. Mind you (and he won't say this out loud lest Kulideb hear it), he already firmly believes that Kharia is guilty. What's the problem? Well, he believes her guilty of only one crime, and that's in willfuly releasing a known murder from his justly deserved prison cell. Other than that, he finds her guilty of other charges. However, he ALSO believes the general that permitted the shootings of the refugees as well as all those who fired upon them should be Court Marshalled for firing upon innocent Civilians that were currently out of the line of fire. So shades and I will go for Innocent Until Proven Guilty However, we both want to see some REAL justice being done! |
| ruthia10-12-04, 08:25 AM | I hate to say it, but Ruthia also has a baised oppinion in this one. Yes she believes Khaira is guilty of helping a murderer escape, but everyone also has to remeber that Kheldorn himself ran Ruthia's little brother through with a sword. And all Branth was doing was trying to protect the refugees from the soldiers who where harrassing some of the mothers and young children. In Ruthia's eyes, she should be allowed to burn Kheldorn to a crisp for that. But she's holding her temper as a favor to her many friends here ((Of course after the trail that may be a TOTALLY differnt story. May I suggest running REALLY fast after the trail is done Kheldorn???)) But I believe in this case it falls on Kheldorn to prove without a doubt that Khaira is completely guilty. I mean, there still is that off chance that Khaira was being controled at the time right ;) . Yes ok, so I know SHE says she wasn't, But what prove do we have of that?? So I guess this is a innocent till proven guilty case, unless some one else has objections. |
| kulideb10-13-04, 09:47 AM | Innocent Until Proven Guilty :D ((Even though Kuli tried to help Khaira free the assasin! Emm..As Kuli is/was the lady of Hillsfar couldnt she has changed the law?!!...)) |
| ruthia10-13-04, 02:32 PM | There I posted my choice, now deal with it. :P :P :P :whatsthis |
| turalisj10-13-04, 07:18 PM | as for my character, you'll find out his own agenda ;) |
| Khaira10-14-04, 12:51 AM | Draaco's eys flared open and green l;ight shone around his eyelids. as this happened his mind filled with the knowledge of everyone in the court, every secret, every goal and hope flooded his memoery. most of it was instantly trancieved to his masters psycrystals. Ahem. Please remember: FoD, FoD, FoD. Freedom of Destiny is very important to us all. None of us like having our characters in total submission from another person's character, without being given a choice to respond or act in any way, shape, or form of defiance. You can take action, but you cannot have control of what the other characters do. It just trips some people's triggers. An example: Khaira's deft thrust of her slim blade pierced Draaco's throat. She twisted it time and time again, leaving nothing but blood and veins flowing out. He died instantly. That doesn't work. And, in my threads, I'd like for it to not happen. Here's an example of *good* FoD: Khaira's thrust was perfect, quick and precise. In a moment, the fool would be dead. Notice how I did not control Draaco in that second example? I posted what Khaira did and what Khaira thought would happen, but I left room fo Draaco to act. Maybe he rolls to the side at the last minute. Maybe his sword comes up and deftly blocks her blade. Or maybe some form of psionic energy surges up and knocks her blade aside. Or, maybe, as Khaira assuredly thinks in that post, her blade does pierce his throat. The most important thing to note (and the basis over FoD) is that I left a *choice* in the second example, and I did not try to govern over what happens to Draaco. You must leave a choice for any character (or, in your post, all characters), and a freedom over their destiny. This is what FoD is all about...being able to play your character as you want him or her played, but allowing everyone else to have Freedom of each of their character's destiny. None of our characters are God(s), though sometimes they come close. As such, none of our characters should attempt to play God and control everything. What you posted is, really, a direct violation of FoD. In your post, everyone instantly submits to Draaco. There is no chance for resistance, no choice...no freedom. Here, paraphrased, is what would be better to post: Draaco's eyes lit up in a brilliant, green hue as his mind spread out over the vast continent of those assembled. Even as the tentacles of his mind spread out over the people, it attempted to dig deeper, revealing massive amounts of information regarding the varied secrets, goals, and hopes of those gathered. Notice how, in this example, a choice is left? There is the freedom for each person to choose their own destiny. This is how it should be. It would make me a very happy DM if you would please edit your post, and allow each character gathered to be able to make the choice regarding their own character. Remember...FoD. It's no fun if one person is God. |
| malik2110-14-04, 01:17 AM | I'll let my character be affected by it :mymy: psst...Dont tell Voll I'm part demon... |
| Good Knight10-14-04, 02:55 PM | Good Sir Myranthor! Just to let you know the SmellyFoot halfling is an NPC that you may control as well. Feel free to have him say what you will. I through him in until Chris and Gordon get back |

Quigley Well just to let everyone know, I hade a great time meeting the creators of Leetah and Kheldar. Chris and Gordon took a trip to America with their mom and dad. And well I packed up the wife and kid, in the Agudo family car, and met them at their hotel. They were just as fun and friendly in person as they are on line. I knew they were brothers, but I must admit that I had a hard time telling them apart. For they were :king: twins! :king: The mom and dad of these entertaining guys were terrific as well. My wife enjoyed talking with the whole family. And ya we yakked about you guys, :P and all the games we played on the boards. O’ well just thought I would let you all know that Chris and Gordon, will be back next week to play. :) |
| ruthia10-17-04, 10:22 AM | Glad someone around here got to meet that mischievious pair :) . I wonder if they'll be able to tell us who Agudo's player is more like, :smirk: Lucky or :teach: Agudo. |
| kulideb10-19-04, 04:11 PM | What! no photos! :D |
| Good Knight10-20-04, 04:20 PM | Sorry everyone been busy! I will post first thing tomorrow! :mymy: Thanks everyone for waiting |
| ruthia10-21-04, 02:27 PM | Kheldorn may I make a suggestion? If the boys aren't back yet, Maybe your next witness should be one of the archers from up on the wall who would have witnessed Khaira's capture and the battle between Agudo and Kheldar? Just a thought. |
| Agudo Archmage10-21-04, 03:18 PM | Ruthia Glad someone around here got to meet that mischievious pair . I wonder if they'll be able to tell us who Agudo's player is more like, Lucky or Agudo. Yes well um..... LUCKY http://www.members.shaw.ca/gordquigley/pictures/portlongluckytemp.gif Artwork copyright © 2003, Gordon R. Quigley Kulideb What! no photos! Ya know my wife took a Photo with her camera phone. But I have know idea how to get it out onto the net. On the up side the boys (Makes them sound sooo cute :mage: )) as Ruthia calls them. Did take photo with their own camera. Hope they can up load it for all of us to see. That way the single young ladies can see the two slim, tall young brothers just waiting for you young gals to email them. :P Sadly standing next to them Agudo (Me) seems to of exaggerated his height :bored: |
| Myranthor10-21-04, 06:08 PM | Good Knight, I'd like you to stop inventing things that are not even in the thread in which the war took place. First of all, Smellyfoot never existed in that thread, and, as such, is introduction is not even linked to what happened, as is his comment about how he kept Kheldar's cell clean : that point was never discussed. However, since that's just a minor point, I saw it as quite inoffensive in the big picture of Khaira's trial. Yet, inventing that messianica forced all villagers to pay to be able to hire Kheldar is unfair, and falls more in an optic of "which lawyer will invent the most horrendous lies", rather than " which lawyer will be best able to prove his point using witnesses that are other characters, basing himself on what is already written". I actually believe it won,t be any fun if we simply are to create a sudden turn around in History when we see fit. If this really happened, however, during the war, and it IS on the thread, I disgress, and humbly withdraw my accusation, yet maintain my point of view and hopes for the future of this thread. Also, I have a question for ruthia : can we call the same witness more than once to the bar? It would be useful to discuss complex questions, or to simply sparate many points in which we need the same person to come more than once. What do you say? |
| ruthia10-21-04, 10:58 PM | Okay, according to what I know of the laws and courts I'm basing this on. Yes Myran you can recall a witness to requestion. Also I Believe the village people where asked to Help raise money to kill Agudo, but did it willingly. And Firecam, it's still your turn on witnesses. The prosictution gets to rip the defenant to shreds, then the defense has to pray they can fix her reputation back up again. Thats how it's done..... I believe. :) |
| turalisj10-22-04, 09:21 AM | this trial seems more and more realistic. you have lies around every corner. |
| Good Knight10-22-04, 12:41 PM | Myranthor If this really happened, however, during the war, and it IS on the thread, I disgress, and humbly withdraw my accusation, yet maintain my point of view and hopes for the future of this thread. Ruthia Also I Believe the village people where asked to Help raise money to kill Agudo, but did it willingly. O' thats right! You wernt in the Epic story at the Agudo school of light and magic. If you see anything said about that then just PM/Email Ruthia, Leetah,Kheldar,Agudo,Keldorn,Khaira about it and we can answer your questions. Your doing great Myranthor dont give up! :) Like I said before, SmellyFoot was brought in to keep the story going. Until the others Char owners come back from vacation. PS its true what Ruthia said, the people of Hillsfar were very dedicated to Messianica. But the reason why SmellyFoot cried was that Messianica is dead. Plus the starvation did take place after they gave all there money away. SmellyFoot just didnt like thinking about the two subjects coming together. For it was easyer to see Messiancia as perfect. But the war was hard on SmellyFoot, what Keldorn said made since. That being the "Money" could have bought more food. Thats why he became so teary eyed. |
| Myranthor10-22-04, 07:55 PM | So Keldorn's just being a demagog, I see. Bad Keldorn! And thanks for the info, Ruthia. I'm happy to have learned how it really happened OOC too, Keldorn. Thanks |
| Good Knight11-01-04, 07:00 PM | Well now that the Halloween festivities are over I am hoping that the others can post. If not then I shall do to the Baker lady what I did to SmellyFoot! :smirk: Who me a demegog :mage: |
| Khaira11-02-04, 05:58 PM | Yay, yay! Hope everyone had a very fun (and SAFE!) Halloween. Mine wasn't anything particularly special to brag about, but I had fun nonetheless. Now we can back to the thread. In the words of a wise shadowdancer...WOOT! |
| Drindin11-02-04, 09:48 PM | I had a DND game on halloween. One of my friends is playing a wild monk. He climbed up 90ft, turned into a six thousand pound dire bear, and fell on one of my Big Baddies. Killed him pretty fast! |
| kulideb11-03-04, 04:49 AM | I went on a sponsered walk with a group of friends(for a breast cancer charity) through the woods, past the ruins of the castle and the old Nunnery (its OK the ghost of the Nun is surposed to be friendly!) The weather was mild and there was no rain! Oh! and we all wore pink :D |
| turalisj11-03-04, 06:58 AM | I went on a sponsered walk with a group of friends(for a breast cancer charity) through the woods, past the ruins of the castle and the old Nunnery (its OK the ghost of the Nun is surposed to be friendly!) The weather was mild and there was no rain! Oh! and we all wore pink :D you went exercising?!? :OMG! :twitch: :uh-huh: ITS A SIGN OF THE APOCOLYPSE!!!!!RUN!!!!!!! |
| Good Knight11-16-04, 12:37 AM | It was settled before that Kulideb could be a Juror. And in NO way does my last post change that. In fact it shows “Why?” She was allowed to be in such a position. It shows that Keldorn and Myranthor had already debated, the “Why?” In letting Kulideb be a Juror. Yet this new twist makes the game more realistic and fun. Its completely up to Kulideb, if she wants to be given a newer more in depth part in the story. Also she can have her Avatar create another Juror. That way Kulideb plays both sides of the field. And helps keep the jury box stay full. Please PM Ruthia Kulideb when you get the chance on your answer. |
| Drindin11-16-04, 01:29 AM | I'm considering having Krissy actually possibly stand and say "I'm standing in for my brother who cannot be here today, but was present, in a form, at the time and place of the betrayal. Drindin." |
| ruthia11-16-04, 08:17 AM | I must also interject that Myranthor has a say in this too, he may have already concidered pulling Kulideb as a witness Way before you did Kheldorn. And since we have your witness list and not his, I would at least like to know if he has a problem with this or not. Not that either of your opinions matter :schemes: But at least I'm asking. And yes, Kuli PM me if you want to be a witness, because remeber a person CAN refuse to be one. But if you refuse to be a witness for one side, you can't be one for the other side............ |
| Myranthor11-16-04, 07:31 PM | Except the accused him/herself. It is clearly stated in many law codexes that an accused can never be forced to witness against themselves, but it is never mentionned they can't do so for themselves. |
| kulideb11-17-04, 04:46 AM | Krissy and Kuli could swop places, as Krissy has been there since the start there wouldn't be any need for a restart of the trial. Then Kuli could act as a witness. :D ((I'm a good girl I do lots of exersie! lots of walking and going to the gym...that way I can eat what I want with out feeling guilty! )) |
| Myranthor11-17-04, 06:43 AM | Ruthia, does that means a juror can,t also be a witness? If so, i'll ask the why of this rule/law. It is not because they comment themselves that they can't be witnesses, after all. The act of speaking in front of the court won't spoil thei minds, or ideas. As for Kulideb's status as a juror, My IC counterpart will state it when you'll have answered about the juror-witness thing. Thank you very much. |
| ruthia11-17-04, 10:12 AM | ok, Kuli is witness/jurior and if you don't like it tough :P |
| Mazithra-Amakiir11-17-04, 09:39 PM | ok, Kuli is witness/jurior and if you don't like it tough Hey, what if *I* don't like it? Huh? HUH! Ever think of that, PUNK!? :P And an 'official' question...when there is a recess in court (heh, makes me think I'm back in elementary school), does that mean EVERYONE is excused? Or everyone has to sit there while the judge takes to the defense/prosecutoin? |
| Drindin11-17-04, 11:05 PM | Having seen a real court at work in "Too Kill a Mocking Board", everyone's excused. |
| ruthia11-18-04, 08:07 AM | yup, everyone |
| kulideb11-21-04, 03:20 PM | My computer is playing up! so if I disapear, please can the DM npc me (or Drindins player can) till I get it sorted? (well, till my hubby gets it sorted!) |
| kulideb11-22-04, 03:30 AM | I can still post for a while longer..the only bit working on my PC is the internet and Paul hasnt time to sort out the rest just yet. (lots of head shaking and what on earth have you done to it comments made) |
| ruthia11-22-04, 10:54 AM | Debs, tell me you didn't push the big red shiny button.....Please tell me you didn't push that button! Oh and FYI I know Ruthia's responses may seem hypocritacal and odd at times and I really can't explain to you why this is, only one person knows how I'm RPing her at the moment and I'm sure he'd tell you all I'm crazy :looloo: But be patient, She's in a transitional stage at the moment. *Ruthia stands and shouts to the crowd* "When this circus is over let's all go to Kuli's Tavern for a pint on me! :pint: " |
| kulideb11-24-04, 07:19 AM | ~puts Glasses on and looks at the big red shiny button~ OH! I didnt see the word 'dont' before the word 'push' ...bit late now! |
| Agudo Archmage11-24-04, 02:49 PM | Tyrion "You're not a hopeless romantic or an insane psychopath or an unpredictable crazy. . . I've only ever met one Elf who was like that. . . And no one has heard from the Army Commander in a long, long time. . ." Tyrion stopped. That had been a very tactless thing to say in front of Lady Kharia, one of the Commander's past lovers. . . or had that been Kulideb? . . Had it been both of them? Come to think of it, how many other Elven maidens had the Army Commander been romantically involved with? There was the Elven Goddess Hanali. . . . . . That drained the color from Tyrion's face. . . Now that brings back fun times of great pics made by Gordon. If he would only post those pics of that nameless Army commander. So that we can all re live such fun times. |
| ruthia11-24-04, 03:26 PM | Is it bad that we're still having good jokes at his expense???? Guess not! :dancin: |
| Khaira11-24-04, 05:01 PM | An Excerpt Khaira's Code of Conduct Any foolish, meta-gaming, egotistical, tactless poster who proceeds to post absurd content to the storyline shall thus be subject to riddiculing, harassment, and joking via other fellow posters whom see above mentioned poster as foolish, meta-gaming, egotistical and tactless. There, see? Perfectly legal! |
| ruthia11-24-04, 05:11 PM | See! I knew some where it was legal! Good thing what the DM says is always right |
| kulideb11-26-04, 03:43 AM | And they were funny pics!! :D |
| Khaira12-14-04, 10:32 PM | *knock, knock* Anybody home? |
| Agudo Archmage12-15-04, 02:44 AM | I believe we are waiting on are good friends Chris and Gordon :) Going on Holiday be back before Christmas :D |
| ruthia12-15-04, 09:09 AM |   "Hey who woke me up! I was having a good dream here!" |
| kulideb12-15-04, 03:02 PM | ~hugs Agudo~ Have a great holiday :D |
| Agudo Archmage12-23-04, 06:39 PM | Well Agudo tanned and back from his Sea Cruise Holiday. My wife and young one swam with dolphins, played with monkeys and parakeets. Of course I took plenty of Pictures and hung about the beaches and pools. And now that I am back …….. I can see we all our still waiting on lovable Chris and Gordon. :P |
| Khaira12-23-04, 08:01 PM | Waiting, waiting, waiting, always waiting on somebody...maybe all of these threads will just have to wait after the holidays. Glad you had a good vacation, Agudo! |
| Khaira12-29-04, 12:25 AM | Well, gee, it's only been 17 days since the last post. Really, that's it! Now...does anybody, anybody at all, know where Chris and Gord are? Anybody heard anything at all?????? |
| Branth12-29-04, 08:16 AM | Chris and Gord where busy around this time of year last year too. I would expect to see them again so time after the first I hope.......... |
| Khaira01-06-05, 01:58 PM | Well ... if, in the next couple of days, Chris and Gordon, I'm just going to have to post for them so that we can actually move the story along. This is getting just a little bit riddiculous. |
| Ramoth01-06-05, 03:30 PM | Your telling me........Try running my story, Evil's been going on for over a year and a half now! And I had only had it slotted to last six months at the most :( *Sigh* I guess you just have to get use to it. |
| kulideb01-06-05, 04:01 PM | Wow its been going that long! While I'm here I had better apologise for my own poor posting rate, real life has a bad habit of getting busy just when you dont want it to! :) |
| Khaira01-06-05, 04:54 PM | Your telling me........Try running my story, Evil's been going on for over a year and a half now! And I had only had it slotted to last six months at the most :( *Sigh* I guess you just have to get use to it. *insert evil, dissapointed look here* Heh. Heh heh heh heh. See, that's the thing about me; if you haven't noticed, I'm not a very ... erm ... patient person. Yes, that's a nice way of putting it... I simply don't get used to it; I break out the whip and scourge if I have to! :schemes: And, yes, I have been accused of possessing a dragon's patience...I must have a little of red dragon spirit in me or something. :D While I'm here I had better apologise for my own poor posting rate Don't worry about it this time, Kulideb; we're not waiting on you this time, so I'm not furious with you this time. ;) Just kidding! I don't really get too mad when I'm waiting on a particular pair of Quigley brothers...not to point fingers or anything...I just get severely dissapointed...which can, eventually, lead to somewhat of anger...heh. In any case, in order to keep this thread moving, I'm just going to have to "drag them" along, if they don't post in the next couple of days; I know it takes a long time, in real life, to complete a trial; and I understand that people can get caught up in the strains of everyday life; but this is pretty bad! |
| Khaira01-08-05, 08:19 PM | All right everyone- I have took it upon myself to post for Rayek and Voll both...as much as I hate doing so. For the sake of the game and for the sake of moving the story forward, I did only what I had to do. Hopefully we can get the show on the road again. To Chris- I tried to post of your characters as how I thought they would act, but I probably didn't encapture them as vividly as you probably could. :) If, when you come back, you want to post for your own characters, that'd be perfectly understandable. Just let me know through a PM. |
| Khaira03-11-05, 01:09 PM | Anybody heard from Agudo? Y'know, if these keeps up, I'm going to be playing every character in this thread pretty soon. |
| Agudo Archmage03-11-05, 01:49 PM | Kharia with a blond beard....hahahhahaha..... :P |
| ruthia03-11-05, 04:22 PM | Agudo is a busy man now at days. Has anyone heard? Well maybe not, but I'm going to tell on him anyways ;) Mrs.Agudo is expecting thier second in September! Which means our dear Mr.Agudo is going to be a busy man for awhile. Last e-mail he sent me, the Misses was making him paint :) We'll have to cheer him on as he gets ready for that oh so fun second child. ((Wonder if this one will have feathers :P )) |
| Beljames.03-12-05, 04:10 PM | ok, well i think i'm back.....hopefully. ruthia has been kind enough to keep me updated from time to time so i'm just checking in to say i'm still around........ |
| Pipers Youth03-12-05, 04:48 PM | Agudo is a busy man now at days. ((Wonder if this one will have feathers :P )) Congratulations Agudo! Your family has my blessings. Be sure to send us pictures of the little ones. :invasion: Oh and don't breath in to much of the paint. The fumes can be unbearable. |
| Khaira03-12-05, 08:40 PM | Congrats, Agudo! Happy for you...well, as long as you don't pass on your love for multiple personalities. :D |
| ruthia03-19-05, 02:22 PM | Alright! Hold it right there! Will some one please tell this poor little dragon where I can find some of this information that Myran is asking for? This is why I hate trying to play some one else Chars, I don't know enough about them!! Help Help Help!!!!!! :weep: |
| Myranthor03-19-05, 04:13 PM | Maybe you could find those on the Char board open for all (or whatever) on the MoP. If it is impossible, I'd suggest you to invent it, or to email Gord tohave those informations. |
| Ramoth03-21-05, 08:09 AM | Since the information Myran seeks is nowhere on the boards I've had to go straight to the source. And since I'm doing it that way it could take a bit before I can post, since he was only able to send me half tha answer yesterday and said he'd send the rest real soon. But Gord did say thank you to everyone who is trying to play his two characters. :D |
| Agudo Archmage03-21-05, 05:31 PM | :D thanks all...i am sure even with another young one.....will alow me more time to play ...lol.... :P And glad to hear Gord is helping out  |
| ruthia03-22-05, 09:26 AM | Direct from the BOYS! :D Have lots of fun Ruthia and tell everyone we Quiglys pass on a hearty Hello! We miss you guys too! :) Gord said they'd post more, but right now they spend most of their time between classes, sleeping, and fighting to get a computer long enough to do their projects. But they have a good grade average, so I guess missing them here is just a price we pay for them to become even better at what they do right? :) So now that I passed that on, I'll post for him :D |
| Myranthor03-25-05, 07:33 PM | *That Sylverymoon convention is what I decided to make of the Geneva Convention, in Faerun. Agudo, could you tell us wether the School and the Army of Light support or ratified that convention, or not? Thanks |
| Ramoth03-26-05, 06:56 PM | Thank the lords! Or maybe thank the Gords!!!!!!!!! Good to see him post, It saved me from racking my brian. |
| Khaira03-28-05, 08:44 PM | So, out of curiosity, does this mark their (gradual) return to posting or do they still need others to assume the mantle of their characters?? Or was that just on a whim, or perhaps a result of a cry for help from Ruthia? Anyone know? |
| Agudo Archmage03-28-05, 08:49 PM | Agudo School of Light and Magic holds the highest standards to life and well being of Goodly Folks That being said those who find themselves on the other end of the spectrum of Good Versus Evil The school of Light and its well respected much loved Headmaster Agudo Did ((not)) sign the treaty of Silvermoon that was written and ratified in 854 DR, and supported by the Lord's Alliance, the Harpers, as well as most good-aligned churches. Agudo wisely stated that it would be a hindrance on all who seek to bring justice to the Goodly Folks of the Realms This was joined by the Barons of Baldurs Gate, Waterdeep and the Radiant Heart Knights of Amn. Who all protested the Silvermoon document and even signed a counter measure Calling itself the ((Laws of Justice document of 854 DR)) Lol…couldn’t let Mryan have all the history fun :P |
| Ramoth03-28-05, 10:15 PM | :( I kinda think it was my pleading for help. What I've been doing is e-mailing Myran's questions to Gord, and asking him for a reply or some help. I think maybe with me relaying the questions to him it gives him time to type the post before hand and then either send it to me for posting or just do it himself. Guess will see..... |
| Myranthor03-29-05, 09:19 AM | Congratulations, Agudo. Now, however, you'll have to tell me what's the difference between the Geneva/Silverymoon convention and the one you signed. Have fun writing it :P |
| Agudo Archmage04-01-05, 01:22 PM | ((Myranthor)) Congratulations, Agudo. Now, however, you'll have to tell me what's the difference between the Geneva/Silverymoon convention and the one you signed. Have fun writing it :P Buhahahhaha....all part of my plan to preach and teach the young upstart Mageling Myranthor......how easly they fall into my trap....Buahahah...Cough...Kak... Opps wrong mask... Puting down the Edwin mask and quickly adding the handsome kindly talking Agudo mask and smiling warmly to the Elvin Wizard Ummm yes my good student Myranthor your very astute in asking about the ((Laws of Justice document of 854 DR)) Basically a person is guilty until proven innocent. Do in part to Detect Evil Magic that allows the courts an understanding of each person mental outlook Yet in the case of Khaira were she is tempted in braking the law by following her heart’s calling to help another. Things become more muddled but it is still up to the accused to prove their innocents Also the Accused has the right to an attorney But must summit to magical clairvoyance plus other probing of the mind and spirit; to see what they are thinking and feeling at the time I could go on and on and on…..really I could! But that gives ya the basic idea O yesssss oooonnnnneeeee more thing It allows for the death penalty  |
| Khaira04-01-05, 09:15 PM | Also the Accused has the right to an attorney But must summit to magical clairvoyance plus other probing of the mind and spirit; to see what they are thinking and feeling at the time ... It allows for the death penalty  No. Bad Agudo! Bad, bad, bad! :nonono: I would think that invasion of another person's mind would be against Agudo's moral code. Hm...I guess he isn't altogether as a moral citizen as well used to think. Heh heh. In any case, where has (or will?) the probing of the mind come into play for Khaira? Or has that happened already? |
| Myranthor04-02-05, 08:39 AM | " Considering that you could've easily immobilized her peacefully, that Rayek's intentions, whatever they may be, were not clear, and that receiving a blow, how nonlethal it could be, always does hurt, I come to the conclusions that Khaira shouldn't be hold responsible of battling with you, since she was only defending herself, and that both soldiers of the Army of light were wrong to draw their weapons on Khaira Amastacia." And that's how we adopt rules in my students' union, in which I spend really too much time lately. Have a good day. |
| Kheldar04-09-05, 12:59 AM | Hmmm. . . My computer has just commited sepeku infront of me. . . Sigh-* oh well. I can use Chris' computer! :) Sorry I blurted in right after you Kharia! Today's been my first chance to post on the thread. . . I tired incorporating parts of your previous thread, while still arguing Myranthor's post with some facts. But I'll have to get used to letting other folks post for Tyrion, becuse, I think all my free time is up! Thanks for subbing in for us!!! - Eidrog Myranthor, I got your e-mail seconds before my computer sacrificed itself. I don't think I edited any of my posts during that fight scene. . . But there were two fight scenes, one in the jail and one in the courtyard outside the jail. Tyrion offered Kulideb to surrender in the courtyard fight, Rayek made the same offer to Kharia, I think. |
| Khaira04-09-05, 01:43 AM | That's all right. :) I was just trying to get the thread jump started again, since it seemed to go into a dormant stage again. No! Bad thread! It's spring; time to wake up! BAD BAD! *ahem* Anyway...feel free to jump in anytime you'd like. :) Really, I won't take offense. I'll also attempt to continue posting as Rayek and, maybe, Tyrion, if I have to... Anyway, go to sleep and ... er... have fun doing ... whatever your doing. |
| kulideb04-09-05, 06:34 AM | Real life is a bit to hectic at the moment so I'm going to have to put role playinging on hold for a while, :weep: This will effect all the games I'm in, I'm really sorry to drop this on you guys. I have enjoyed roleplaying with all of you and hope to do so again sometime. I dont know if you want to NPC my CH or have her disapear, I'll leave that up to you all. ~hugs~ Debs |
| Khaira04-09-05, 02:23 PM | The jury probably won't need to be active for a while, in any case, but we'll try to drag you along. |
| Khaira05-21-05, 05:21 PM | *yawn* :bump: How busy is everyone, and how soon can everyone have more time so we can actually finish the long, dramatic, extended, pathetic trail of Khaira the Trader? :P What's that? Biased? Me? What are you talking about!? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai05-21-05, 07:42 PM | I got an idea, Khaira. If you'd like an unexpected plot twist - PM me, and i'll tell you whom i thought of entering, what that would do, and what the consequences will be... ;=} Fot the others, i'll only leave you with two pieces of lore regarding my intention: 1} It'll be a plothook for an adventure i'll DM afterwards, and Khaira would play in; 2} ...And then he met Me. |
| Agudo Archmage05-23-05, 07:41 PM | Well I for one thought that Myranther was still speaking Has that changed? Maybe he has class or a job that is holding him back |
| ruthia05-23-05, 07:50 PM | umm. I believe we are waiting for Tyrion to reply. So go smack him :P |
| PoisonBlade05-23-05, 11:28 PM | Final Week. . . Final Projects, all due. . . Final Exams, wracking our brains. . . Final Words. . .*gasp!* PoisonBlade suddenly falls limp. (( Sorry about the wait guys. We're in our final week of classes, well sorta kinda, but that's another story. Anyway! At the end of this week we should both have a lot more free time on our hands, so expect us to post more frequently then. But ummmm. . .In the mean time. . .if you want to drive this thread forward, please feel free to take over our characters. Sorry to do this to you guys. . . )) |
| Khaira05-24-05, 12:52 AM | Sorry to do this to you guys. . . I forbid you to appologize anymore! :P I'm sure everyone here, myself included, understands the time inhibitions of finals week. I can understand it completely since I just got done with them. Anyway, don't worry about it! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai06-21-05, 12:51 PM | Is that my queue now? My entrance should be after Tyrion, but has he left the podium or... Cause Ruthia made that "hint" post, but Tyrion seems to still be on there. . . :=S |
| Myranthor06-21-05, 12:53 PM | Tyrion is still there. i have to post, after posting in awards, working, etc..... It'll be done by tomorrow, i swear |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai06-22-05, 03:28 AM | Oh, ok, now i get it! Cool. :=} I feared i was the one holding you back... confused kitty. |

| Khaira10-05-05, 08:09 PM | *sigh* Well, it's been another long stretch between posts. What's it been...a month or two or three? As much as I hate to suggest, I am considering closing down the Trial of Khaira, as a necessity. We have a few options open to us... Cancel the Trial of Khaira for good and simply assume that she was deemed innocent Cancel the thread and leave it tentatively open until people feel they have enough free time to post and dedicate time to the trial Simply assume that the trial never happened and Khaira was either a) exiled b) escaped I continue posting for Rayek, Tyrion, Khaira, Evander, and Myranthor. Obviously, not an option I desire to enact. In detail, let me discuss the above options: Cancel for good Obviously, either interest is lost for the thread or everyone doesn't even have 5 minutes to breathe, let alone post. I sincerely hope for the latter, but that doesn't change the fact that everything is still in stasis. It may be best to simply let the trial die while it still has fond memories, and leave it dead. This will have negative repercussions, like the raising of questions: Was Khaira found innocent or guilty? What did Agudo think afterwords? How was she punished? What happened to the jury? What were the arguments of both sides? This is not a choice I want to happen but, unfortunately, I am seriously considering this. Cancel for a later time This would perhaps be a better choice than above, but it still leaves things up in the air: Will people forget about the Trial? Will anyone have interest when time is freed up? Will time get freed up, now that school is in session, since nobody had time in summer, either? Assume a punishment Simply cancel the trial and agree upon a punishment for Khaira. Exiled from Agudo's school, banned from speaking or singing ever again, a clever escape from the tent, or some other form of punishment Again, this leaves out some very significant information: What did Tyrion, Rayek, Agudo, or anyone else think about Khaira's actions? What were the arguments for both sides? Of course, if we choose this, we can always have a "flashback" thread, where we go back to the trial and lead up to why the end result occurred. I argue, converse, and present arguments for and against myself Also known as posting for damn near everyone. Myranthor, Rayek, Tyrion, Khaira, Evander (who may have been a witness). While it's fun to talk to myself, I may very well get admitted to the nearest psychiatric ward for schizophrenia if I do so. Not to mention that there is, really, no point. If I wanted to talk to myself, I could've made a trial with all of my own characters. Currently, Myranthor, Tyrion, and Rayek are busy. I hold nothing against them, since such is life. Unfortunately, what this means is that I am posting for the plaintiff, the plaintiff's defense attorney, and three of the potential witnesses. Honestly, is there a point? Which leads up to that very question: Is there a point to me posting for everyone for an indeterminable amount of time? Should I delegate posting responsibilities to other people? I.E. [Insert name of player] posts as Myranthor, [Insert name of player] as Rayek, Tyrion, etc. Or is it better to just cancel the thread for good since it's pointless for further waiting? Or, perhaps, is it better to just postpone it? Or should we all vote, right now, on what kind of punishment Khaira should get and assume that's what happened? I need your input, people. PLEASE! If I do not receive comments, suggestions, or input soon (like, within 1-2 weeks), I am going to go ahead and cancel this thread and decide on a punishment for Khaira myself. It would most likely be exile. |
| ruthia10-05-05, 08:20 PM | My suggestions jump to the end Like I had to with Evil...but you saw how good that worked for me. I just get the feeling no one's going to have time anytime soon. Even my times finally getting limited. So umm, I'll vote and suggest punishment option. Sounds the best to me anyways. And Beljames's player agree's with me on that one. He'd post more, but he really has no reason too...... |
| PoisonBlade10-06-05, 03:26 AM | It's good of you to bring this to everyone's attention Khaira, although it's Tragic to read. I'm upset that neither Gord nor I have been able to take a more active role in this campaign, especially because it was really beginning to spurn my interest, but our summers been consumed by our schooling. Bleh! I hate that excuse, but it's entirely true. To give everyone a rough idea of how demanding our schooling has been, at the beginning of Semester One, there were 11 students in our program. When Semester Two came along, that number was reduced to 8. Now, at the beginning of Semester Three, only 3 of us remain: Gord, Myself, and one other. As to what you should do to this Thread, that's a though call. I agree with you're view that controlling all of our characters is just silly. Your right, you are essentially just role playing with yourself, and there's really no fun to be had with that. I think a punishment would raise the most drama over the Trial, but it's also the most difficult to follow through with. I'll speak with Gord before I recommend what I think you should do next. He's usually full of sound sagely advice! But, in the mean time, it's back to homework for me. . . - Chris |
| Agudo Archmage10-06-05, 03:53 AM | :) Well I have made a few ideas about how I see Khaira being punished if found guilty. All Pm to the GM of the Game of course :P |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-06-05, 01:13 PM | Well, i'm for the "delay for later" option. Not that i'm particularily optimistic regarding our chances that this thread will ever be resumed, but where there's life - there's hope. :=/ |
| Khaira10-06-05, 01:57 PM | I'm upset that neither Gord nor I have been able to take a more active role in this campaign, especially because it was really beginning to spurn my interest, but our summers been consumed by our schooling. Bleh! I hate that excuse, but it's entirely true. Don't be upset or dissapointed or feel guilty. It is not your fault and we all know that; real life, sometimes, takes precedence over ISRP. It's a simple fact. While it dissapoints me and makes me sad to think about having to close down a thread or fast forward it, it too is a simple fact that must be considered at times. I fully understand your lack of time - I am continuing to be swamped by school, am now sitting on two busy and key committees of which I am a voting member, and have just acquired a new position as a webmaster who is responsible for getting our campus newspaper online. Yes, I more than understand the repercussions of having 20 things to do. Unfortunately, now we must all take a look what we can do to not drag this thread on. I want people to have fond memories of all of my threads. I do not want people to look back and think "Yeah, it was fun, but the time span between posts was disrupting." Thus the reason I am asking everyone's input; I have already decided on what I think is best, but am waiting to give my opinion so as to not influence other's decisions. Well I have made a few ideas about how I see Khaira being punished if found guilty. But that begs the question: Will she be found guilty or innocent by the end? What will the jury say? What factors, such as other testimonials and evidence will make them say it? If, by the end of everyone's input, this seems to be a valid option, I would collaborate with other people - Agudo, Myranthor, and members of the jury - to gather their collective evidence for/against Khaira. I.E. Myranthor would make an accelerated post that would state: Khaira is not guilty because of Keldorn would make an accelerated post stating: Khaira is guilty of accused groups as referenced by [insert evidence, counterclaims, synopsis of testimonials, the like] I would then ask members of the jury to simply say Yes or No, and go by that. I will wait and see what everyone else says. Well, i'm for the "delay for later" option. Not that i'm particularily optimistic regarding our chances that this thread will ever be resumed... This has negative repercussions. Khaira's fate, in future threads, will be up in the air. There's no doubt in my mind that, if we postpone it, people will forget. And in future threads in interaction with Khaira or mention of Khaira, if someone's post is, for example: [I][Insert character name] remembered the trial and the events of it and the final outcome... Questions will arise: What happened? What was the result? Was she executed, exiled...? Nobody will know, and will have to assume things, some of which may be wrong. And if there are threads that rely on the timeline being *after* the trial, it will also be negative influence. What if we go back to the trial and Khaira ends up being executed? Well, then, she would not be participating in the thread and it would create a conundrum. This, obviously, would limit my options for Khaira. |

As well as having seriouse repercussions on several other chars who are/may relay on a later dated interaction With Khaira. This could cause several things to go wrong...very wrong. :( Maybe the fast paced version then?? |
| Khaira10-06-05, 09:48 PM | Yes, a very valid point, Ruthia. Thus why I desire to avoid that option, if possible. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash10-09-05, 10:05 PM | Excuse me for butting in, but is this thread still open to all? (Like it says in the title) It seems as though it requires much past information. |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-10-05, 06:06 PM | A more relevant question would be whether this thread is still open at all. Unless a mirracle happens, it is closed. Three of every four key people are unable {or unwilling; i do not speak for each one} to participate, and thus no roleplaying can occure. The same seems to go for Evil Intentions, and every other good thread we had here. I come to suspect that Honor among Thieves was the last, if not only {since my arrival at the boards, that is} thread that was good, long, and has both a plot and an ending. Typically enough, i never had the sence to join it when it was still on. :=/ Should this thread ever come alive again, however, i trust Ruthia & Khaira both know where to find me {email}, so there won't be anything my unnamed little gnome shall miss. Now excuse me, i belive i left my point at home. |
| Khaira10-11-05, 01:59 PM | Excuse me for butting in, but is this thread still open to all? (Like it says in the title) It seems as though it requires much past information. Were we not considering the best options for the closing of this thread yes, it would still be open to all. And, yes, it does (did) require a hefty amount of history to fully comprehend the crimes Khaira is (was) to be held on trial for. However, both the defense attorney and the prosecutor expounded on this information that it was quite possible to know nothing of the history of all concerned and still understand what was going on. A more relevant question would be whether this thread is still open at all. Unless a mirracle happens, it is closed. A miracle, in this case, being if the hours in the day spontaneously increased by 12 for a month and everyone gave a vigorous shout for continuing the trial to the end and every one posted once an hour to catch up ... ... in other words, yes, it is closing. It saddens me that this is happening ... I find myself in a state of self-blame when things like this* happen, especially considering that this is already the 3rd or 4th thread that I have had to close and shut down, due to very similar reasons. I truly hope that we can, in fact, come back to this thread at a later date and breathe life into it. While I am not going to post what I think is best for the result of this thread, I will say that I am leaning towards Options #2 and #3. Hell, I'm leaning ever so sleightly towards Option #1, too. For those that need reminding... Cancel the Trial of Khaira for good and simply assume that she was deemed innocent Postpone thread and leave it tentatively open until people feel they have enough free time to post and dedicate time to the trial Pass a punishment/result such as Khaira: a) is exiled b) escaped c) other, more cruel punishment I continue posting for Rayek, Tyrion, Khaira, Evander, and Myranthor. Obviously, not an option I desire to enact. I will explain why I am leaning towards these options, in detail, after I feel sufficient people have expressed their input. Kulideb, Myranthor, Drindin ... I guess that's all whom need to offer their input. Of course, if someone really wants to question me for my opinions, my PM box and email is still open. *"Things like this" refers to no individual in particular, but the fact that real life has pulled people away for extensive amounts of time. No, I do not want anyone to feel guilty for this happening to the trial. Nor am I referring to any inconspicous finger pointing that may be imagined; I do not blame anyone for my own failings. |
| ruthia10-11-05, 06:38 PM | I'd just like to say Khaira that it is no fault of your own, or anyone else, that a thread this good is being closed. It's the fault of many conflicting things at once, the push to finish several threads combined with real life may in fact have turned people away from RPing all together.......... just my thoughts.... :( |
| Taeldrin Laesrash10-11-05, 08:39 PM | Huh. Sorry to hear that. But it isn't your fault. |
| kulideb10-12-05, 04:36 AM | ~hugs Khaira~ I know I havent been to active myself on the boards but I would hate to see this story just end. How about changing it slightly? Maybe a rescue? A visit to the shadow planes? |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-12-05, 07:27 PM | Hmm, can't help but admit i like the way this shadowalker's mind works! :D |
| Dragna the Claw10-13-05, 12:58 AM | I personally have had plenty of threads end on me prematurely. While sad, it's also nice in a way. You get to decide the ultimate fate of your character and the plot you initially ignited. In terms of The Cliffside War, it has a huge history of many past threads on different boards, some complete but most not. Those not completed Lectus and I have filled in the details as we saw fit, for, after all, it was originally our ideas that created and somewhat modded these threads. Since Trial of Khaira is about your character and the plots immediately revolve around her, you own the thread. Decide to end it however you want as long as you don't directly effect other writer's characters. No need to physically write it on Trial of Khaira either. When your next thread starts with the character Khaira, simply rp her as if your created ending actually took place. It's not such a sad thing. I mean there are always new rpers and new stories. You had fun with this one, but maybe it's over. Time to move on to the next new and exciting challenge. |
| Khaira10-24-05, 03:25 PM | Well, it has ended, albeit not in the way that I thought it would've ended. I can see, though, that there will definitely be a heated enmity between Agudo, Keldorn and Khaira, Evander in the future. Such things will be ... interesting. Speaking of the future ... Khaira has one more thing to do - or, rather, one more person to hunt - in her very own Hunt for Khaira's Harp (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=447275&page=5&pp=30). So, if you're interested in seeing the future of Khaira, come'n take a look! |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-25-05, 09:50 PM | Would m'lady engage in a bit of anachronism for me? Pwettypweasewidsuggaondatop? I was at a friend's birthday party, which lasted two days, and my excuse it the young age and cuteness of that particular friend. So i'm sorry i couldn;t post sooner, but now i'm back, and my gnome has a conversation he's ordered to... err, i mean he'd like to have with Khaira. I should also base the my choice of character to join the harp-hunt with on the outcome of that conversation... |
| Khaira10-25-05, 11:18 PM | I will, but just for you, my dear little oddity. :P |
| Quathmoir Dlaeh Issarhai10-26-05, 08:23 AM | Purrrrrr, i feel all special! :pile: |
