| skree09-19-07, 10:24 AM | If anyone that has stated these weapons I would like to have a copy please ,,you can e mail me at werehampster1@yahoo.com thank you |
| j0lt09-20-07, 01:02 AM | d20 Modern is available at your local gaming store. |
| skree09-20-07, 07:51 PM | jolt have you ever played the N64 version of PD?,,,What i'm looking for is the following (stats wise) .MAGSEC4 .CMP150(specifically how would stat this weapon secondary function) .MAULER(again how would you stat this weapon secondary function) .PHOENIX etc,etc |
| j0lt09-21-07, 08:02 AM | That's the only version I ever played. I remember the graphics were particularly blurry, and the game felt kinda sluggish, but it was still a lot of fun! Could you give me a quick reminder about those weapons? A basic description of their primary and secondary functions or something like that. (I don't remember the weapons by name) |
| mato_hibiki09-21-07, 09:46 PM | Give me a break... If you have d20 modern, it's a matter of simple conversion. Sigh. Ok, I'll be somewhat constructive and help out. Just know that I think you're lazy, and I'm very disappointed in you. Magsec4 - Ths is just an automag really, as such, it's like any other .44 gun out there. I don't have my d20 modern book handy, but whatever, call it the same damage as a colt python, was it 2d8? Secondary fire is a three round burst mode. How hard it that to figure out? Give it a three round burst mode, just like the beretta 92r. Laptop gun - It's a sub machine gun. Give it the MP5's stats and call it a day. Secondary mode? Give it 5 in spot, and have it make spot checks to 'see' targets. Give it a BAB of two, and you're done. Mauler - Feh, an alien version of the Magsec 4. The only difference is instead of a three round burst, it uses five ammo for a charge up shot. Give it three bonus dice of damage on a charge up shot, and call it a day. Phoenix - Bleah, I hate going back to the pile for stats, but hell... Same as the mauler and the magsec, but it's secondary is explosive rounds. So, everyone within five feet of the target takes one die of damage from the explosion. The target takes normal damage. DY357 magnum - Colt. Python. Ta. Da. Cyclone - Same stats as an Uzi. Secondary lets it perform... Whatever the rules are for that auto-fire/area attack thing. Callisto NTG - Another subbie. Use the MP5 stats. Secondary? It ignores up to two points of AC, but only if the target is wearing ARMOR. RC-P120 - It's a P90, use those stats. Secondary? Well, it's a cloak, so have it give a bonus to hide, saaay... +10 to hide, but uses up ten shots a turn when active. CMP150 - Another subbie, easy enough. Secondary? Have it give a bonus +2 to hit, if the user makes a computer use check against the target's AC to 'lock on' to him. Dragon - An AR, so use the M16's stats. Secondary is an explosive, have it use a grenade's damage, if anyone comes within ten feet of it. K7 Avenger - Another AR, M16 stats. Secondary? Give a plus five bonus to reflex saves against proximity explosives, like the Dragon's secondary. AR34 - An AR, use the M16's stats. It has a cope for it's secondary. Nuff' said. Superdragon - Same as the dragon. Secondary is a grenade launcher. Use the stats for the M203. Shotgun - It's a shotgun. Not hard. The secondary gives the user access to the double tap feat, if he doesn't have it. Sniper rifle - ... No brainer. Ok that should be plenty to get you started. I was bored, and you came off as sort of... Puppy dog helpless. You're welcome. |
| j0lt09-22-07, 06:09 AM | Give me a break... If you have d20 modern, it's a matter of simple conversion. Sigh. Ok, I'll be somewhat constructive and help out. Just know that I think you're lazy, and I'm very disappointed in you. Wow, thankx for your benevolent assistance. 93r Laptop gun - It's a sub machine gun. Give it the MP5's stats and call it a day. Secondary mode? Give it 5 in spot, and have it make spot checks to 'see' targets. Give it a BAB of two, and you're done. Weapons don't get Base Attack. Mauler - Feh, an alien version of the Magsec 4. The only difference is instead of a three round burst, it uses five ammo for a charge up shot. Give it three bonus dice of damage on a charge up shot, and call it a day. Three bonus dice would make it a 5d8 weapon. This is potentially game breaking. Maybe drop it down to two bonus dice? Phoenix - Bleah, I hate going back to the pile for stats, but hell... Same as the mauler and the magsec, but it's secondary is explosive rounds. So, everyone within five feet of the target takes one die of damage from the explosion. The target takes normal damage. Are they really so explosive that they have a blast radius? RC-P120 - It's a P90, use those stats. Secondary? Well, it's a cloak, so have it give a bonus to hide, saaay... +10 to hide, but uses up ten shots a turn when active. The gun has a cloaking device?! I'm assuming it's for the one holding the gun. This is venturing into the broken realm of d20 Future gadgets. Since it's in the game though, I'd still change it's function from somehow using ammo, to having a limited duration. (possibly a special battery-pack in each magazine allowing 1 minute of cloak?) Ok that should be plenty to get you started. I was bored, and you came off as sort of... Puppy dog helpless. You're welcome. You came off as sort of... a jerk, but thanks for the stats anyways. :) |
| mato_hibiki09-22-07, 07:26 AM | Well, I totally AM a jerk, so at least I'm consistent? Not a cool jerk, just a regular jerk. Anyways... Yeah, sorry, I'm not a fan of Barettas. Even though Chris Redfield used that gun in the first resident evil. :D Geek points for me. The laptop gun... In this case NEEDS BAB, since it's secondary acts like an automated turret. Otherwise, it's fairly useless. Also DEX... I guess, if you want it to have a chance to hit anyone over level five. The Mauler... Yeah, very overpowered, BUT! Two bonus dice is just a three round burst, so, meh, this is supposed to be more effective? Ah screw it, have it do a flat plus if you'd rather, I tried. The Phoenix from perfect dark... Yeah, I remember shooting walls near people when they moved around too much for me to hit with any guarantee. It does do some spread damage, just not very far, or very much. Is adjacent a better term to use here? Right next to? No, I'm sure adjacent is the right word to use. As for the RC-P120... I tried to make it as close to the game as possible. If you wanna run it as a battery pack, well that's fine too. It's a free world... As long as I have anything to say about it. In closing, yes, I'm a jerk. Remember that, for it'll be on the test later. And you're very welcome. ;) |
| j0lt09-22-07, 09:12 AM | Well, I totally AM a jerk, so at least I'm consistent? Not a cool jerk, just a regular jerk. Yeah, I read your sig. :P The laptop gun... In this case NEEDS BAB, since it's secondary acts like an automated turret. Otherwise, it's fairly useless. Also DEX... I guess, if you want it to have a chance to hit anyone over level five. Hrm... That is a trick. You'd almost have to stat it as a construct... Groovy. Adjacent works. It's a free world... As long as I have anything to say about it. LOL! If I had a section in my sig for good quotes, that would so go into it! |
| Ragitsu09-25-07, 07:35 PM | I don't get it, why are you guys laughing and smiling about being a jerk? (A negative thing, unless I missed out on a revision of the term) DY357 magnum - Colt. Python. Ta. Da. No. Just no. The DY-357 is more powerful per shot compared to the Falcon, so the same damage as the Colt Python (2d6) will not work. Perhaps bump it up to 2d8? |
| j0lt09-25-07, 08:19 PM | Because getting bent out of shape and turning this thread into a flame war will benefit nobody. |
| Ragitsu09-25-07, 08:27 PM | Regardless, it shouldn't be tolerated. It's partly why the boards are the way they are. |
| j0lt09-25-07, 08:42 PM | It stopped didn't it? Had I responded in an aggressive manner, it would have simply escalated. It's a basic de-escalation technique: Take a potentially volatile situation, toss in some humour and everything will cool down. |
