Edwin Odesseiron of Thay 09-03-04, 07:39 PM	(ooc All are welcome to join, this is like a tavern were you hangout and talk. Sale whatever you wish as well. I saw someone else do this on the boards, but it didn’t make the change to the new look. Hats off to you if your reading this) Like most markets of its kind, the hustle and bustle of the masses pressing along through the marked stalls is a constant. Haggling for trinkets of all types be it silks from the Far East, magical love potion, charms, even the discerning needs of a warrior, seeking the lattes armor and other fine weapons can be found Rich spices fill the air from barbequed and roasted meats that are displayed open on the rack. As well as the sultry taste like the tempting call of Ale and other exotic liquor wift through the air. Half orgs can be seen stumbling out of makeshift tent taverns, drunk as any dwarf could be. But unlike most markets of the realms, this one is of the reached land of Thay. Red Wizards sale slaves as easily as plump halflings eat buttered bread. All around slave-pits can be seen, brave and not so strong of heart are for sale. Children of all races are chained together, to be bought off in batches if need be. A sign reads *Come one come all! Make an offer with coin in hand!* Once such unsavory Thayen walks about eyeing the merchandise. “Congratulations you have graduated from Neanderthal to barroom gooney! Do you really think I would pay for this rat you call a gnome. Her teeth have rotten out and on top of it she drools almost as much as you do” The Slave lord is shocked at the strong words and shakes the gnome. Edwin laughs and walks away looking for something new to buy.

He walks up to a small empty stall in the corner of the marketplace and says a small simple spell and suddenly the stall is littered with various magic items and an illuminated sign reading " Arcana Obsqure " He sits down behind the stall on a small seat and counts out his gold into a till.
Dwarfina Hammertoe 09-04-04, 08:03 PM	A rather unwashed and foulmouthed dwarf walks around the market. Swaggering with a bottle of rum in her hand. Taking deep swigs at every opportunity. When suddenly she stops and sees a sign that reads. Arcana Obsqure “Ya now, this is whats a woman of me class be needing. Some magic taa helps me” She staggers over to Kayne and belches out a hello. “Would ye have something taa help outs a beauty such as me self?”

malik21 09-06-04, 05:34 PM	A noble looking Axiomatic Dragonne walks in.He moves up to the Arcana Obsqure booth and with a flash of light turns into a golden looking Human.Even the room seems to become brighter. Show me your fine wares so that I may buy.
Edwin Odesseiron of Thay 09-06-04, 06:07 PM	The crowed roars with excitement around the small bullring. On one end a burly Minatare holds a chained bull, snorting for the opportunity to charge. On the other end, a fat human woman, holding a rope with a large pit bull dog. Slobbering as it shows it sharp teeth and barks at its prey. A trumpet can be heard as the two beasts are let lose to charge at each other. The bull lowers its head in an attempt to pierce the ravenous dog. The cyanine doesn’t give way, as it lashes it teeth deep into the nostrils of the bull. An animalistic scream echoes from the bull, as it try’s to shake loose the deadly clamp of teeth around it nose. The dog is shaken back ands forth like some cheap rag doll. The owners greedily glance at the official judge, a halfling, who counts out how long the dog can hold on. After twenty seconds the pit bull dog is thrown to the side. It hits the ground hard and lays there for several seconds, before getting up, to retreat back to its master. Winners slap each other with glee as they exchange coin with the ringleader. Edwin as well seems enthralled by the spectacle. “Hah! These simple-minded masses are so easily parted from their desirable coin. Maybe I should pay the owner of this moronic sporting event a visit; and help her to see that the burden of running this blood sport is very dangerous for her.” The Red Wizard rubs his hands together in finical thought. Then shakes his head as if deciding for something else. “I could barely stand the maggots of this place.Let alone talk with them” He walks around the market with his deep red robes, dragging on the ground The rude wizard comes upon the newest shop in the market. In truth the smell of it contents greeted Edwin before he ever laid eyes on it. Walking up next to the dwarf {Dwarfina} and merchant {Necrodude} makes the wizard snort in contempt. “Come now stop deluding this evolutionary set back that I loosely call a woman. Just put the cloak over her and be done with the Neanderthal!” The Red Wizard then laughs and adds “I will offer a small bag of star sapphires for your pet though. I could use a grunt like this dwarf to do my biding. Now put a collar on the dwarf, my money hungry proprietor and be quick about it!” He then turns to the bright guy. {Malik21} "Are you some kind of glowing freak show?"

Dwarfina Hammertoe 09-07-04, 02:09 PM	Dwarfina lowers her brow at Edwin in confusion. She then looks up the storeowner. “Neanderthal! Did this red wearing walking harlots curtain, insult me beauty?” The dwarf spits on the ground and eyes the Thayen wizard dangerously. “What’s be a Neanderthal?”
Edwin Odesseiron of Thay 09-08-04, 12:35 PM	(ooc Sorry but as you can see Edwin does not have a lot friends :weep: ) Edwin Odesseiron was aghast at all the yokels volatile response and was truly perplexed. For the bright guy roars like some flea bitten feline and the dwarf cant fathomed her own primitive race. On top of it all the merchant seemed for some unimaginable reason, offended as well. Clearing his throat Odesseiron looked around and snickered aloud. “My apologies for my astute and very educated observation, of everyone’s positions in your otherwise shorts lives. As they say in Thay, the truth hurts! Never the less glow bulb, I see no reason for you to get a fur ball in your throat. Calm yourself before the authorities have you bathed and un-flead ” Turning his back on {Malik21} The red wizard bent down to look Dwarfina in the eye. Edwin then smiled. “I want you to think about this cave digger! Are you short? As well as hairy? What about hunched?” Then standing straight he added. “A Neanderthal, is quit simply a hunched over, very short and hairy ” He waited just a second before continuing. “Dwarf!” With a glance at the merchant he says as he turns. "I shall report you to the Thayn Merchant Union for your lack of respect to a Red Wizard." Walking out of the stall area Edwin Odesseiron commented under his breath. "It may have been better to make my purchase, before alowing them to hear my wisdom!"

Respect , Your superiors!!! kayne says quite firmly as he slide of one side of his cloak to reveal the advanced red wizards cloak and takes of his cloak enough to show his sign of office. Now maybe i should report you but will let you off with a warning. In a flash of dark red light kayne is back standing behind the stall. Now what may i help you with?Kayne pulls a chest out from underneath the stall. Sorry about his rudeness please accept this as an apologieKayne then opens the case revealing many non descript rings of silver. Please take one. :mymy: He also chooses to ignore malik's previous words. :D

That red wizard was not saying you were ugly.He was giving you a complement.He thought you were so beautiful that he wanted to buy you.Surely you could not refuse him the woman he loves withall his heart.Go givem' a hug and kiss. ;) He says this sarcastically,but obviously hoping the dwarf will think its true and actually do just that.

He be to freakishly tall!”She then looks dreamy eyed at Goden . “Now thy lips tempt me more than any!” She puckers up and leans in with a rum tainted kiss for Goden. :eek:

Edwin contemplates his surprising misfortune. “Me of all wizards was treated like some common peasant! As if that were even possible! The lowest of urchins on the streets can see how wonderful I am. Bah!” The red wizard closes his eyes and he consider his next move. “I should just storm back in there, and demand an apology for such indignity of my stature” Grumbling all the more as he complains. “All I wanted was some stinkweed for my smokes. Cant these barnyard animals just do as I say”

Quigley Outside under the twinkling starry night sky, a blue & white robe wizard stood. He wore a floppy hat, on his head almost covering hsi long blond hair. With one hand he was calmly smoking a corncob pipe, filling the air with apple cinnamon. With the other free hand he was leaning on an enchanted staff, with a glowing blue stone atop. In the shadows of his wardrobe sitting upon his shoulder was a beautiful snow owl. She seems to be enjoying the lovely night sky. “Agudo if we weren’t in such a despicable place. I would honestly say how peaceful it is to be here.” The blond hair Mage took a few more puffs on his pipe before responding. “To true my wise friend. To true indeed” They both took note of the street urchins that scurried about at night in the marketplace. “I wonder if he will show? ” Lady Hoot mumbled.

The Wizard of Light slowly turned, as if he was just simply observing the one who boldly walked up to him. Taking one last long puff on his corncob pipe, allowing the sweet smell of apple cinnamon to leave his lips. The green eyed Mage then lightly taped his enchanted rune staff, on the cobble stone road. And with a whimsical grin, he greeted the traveler in warm fatherly voice “Hail and well met adventures one! I see that either my modestly gaudy wardrobe, has betrayed me once more.” He laughs softly at his own pun, then adds. "Or by the Light! We have met before, in some far off Realm, and I have forgotten?" A thickly bound amber leather book, with gold trim; floats out from between the folds of his blue & white robe. When it opens a magical white feather comes to life, between the tanned pages. That for some reason causes the snow owl, which sits on the Wizards shoulder, to roll her eyes at the sight. “In any case if I am not mistaken….” Agudo articulates as he leans closer, as if to get a better look at the one speaking to him. “ By the mystical aura that I detect on your frame….. is that of an Axiomatic Dragon! He stands straight once more, and glances at the floating book that is quickly writing every word. Then with warm smile he returns his undivided attention, to the one before him. “Am I correct young man? On any of what I have just said?” Agudo chuckles and winks

Pipers Youth 10-14-04, 07:11 PM	Piper had just rounded the corner to The Red Wizard's market, the exact place where he and Agudo were to meet when he heard there familiar voices. Before he approached the pair something caught his eye. Edwin, a fellow red wizard sitting under a dirty canopy. He looked angry and frustrated about something. This was nothing unusual to Piper, Edwin was known for his brimstone temper and hotty attitude. On his way he passed by and gave a half bow," Lord Edwin." Once in front of Agudo and Hoot he gave a grin," Ha! Hoot write a book? That feathered piece of mouth couldn't even pick up a quill, never mind write a book." Agudo had seen Piper coming around the corner and noticed something different about him. He no longer wore his regular green garb, but rather a crimson red robe with golden trim. Also on his robe was the sigil of the Red Wizards embroided there. He still had the same familiar unkept chestnut hair, and the cocky grin he'd had played on his face for years working with the famous pair.

Then before speaking with Piper, the Wizard of Light takes a few more puff on his corncob pipe. Blowing sweet cinnamon smoke towards the garishly red dressed Piper. “Ahh Piper! I see your taste in cloths has gone down. No longer shy about being a underling to slavers?” Lady Hoot didn’t wait for Pipers reply. “Come now Agudo as you can see by the young man who just left berating the red Wizards. Piper is still making friends as fast as he losses them.” The Wizard of Light put up a hand to call a truce between the two. “Come now Piper we could banter like this all night. Yet it is you who called us here…. He leaned in closer for extra drama, added by a large smile on his face. “And that reason is?”
Pipers Youth 10-20-04, 06:37 PM	What was taking so long? The red guards should have been here by now! I can't stall much longer or no doubt he'll get suspicious. Damn that Marshall Hage, damn him to the nine hells! The plans simple, red guards show up, and we nab Agudo and Hoot. Just as Piper finished his train of thought the rustling of armor and marching footsteps could be heard coming from around the corner. Moments later twenty armed soldiers and one of Thay's generals rounded the corner. The general was a stout, burly man with fire red hair and beard to match. He carried a large war hammer strapped to his back and an officers insignia on his left shoulder. As he approached the group he barked orders to his troop. The twenty soldiers spread out surrounding the traveling companions and leveled their pikes. Piper crossed his arms and gave a sly grin,"This." While the red wizard let that sink into Agudo's head he turned to the general," Greetings Marshal Hage, run into any trouble on your way here?" Hage regarded him for a moment before answering with a grunt," My affairs are of none of your concern Youth. His excellency gave me specific orders to work with you and Lord Edwin, to apprehend and arrest Agudo the Archmage of Light at all cost, that doesn't mean I have to like it."

Causing his long blond hair to fling about, Agudo frowned. “I see…..” The Wizard of Light spoke slowly. But Lady Hoot wasn’t aloss for words. “Piper your jealousy has blinded you to who your true friends are!”
Edwin Odesseiron of Thay 10-22-04, 12:02 PM	Not to far off sat the impeccable example of the Thayen way of life. Edwin Odesseiron, the grumpiest Red Wizard that there ever was. He was ease dropping on the rabble about. The rabble in this case was the city guard and some upstart calling himself Piper. But what really caught his Thayen eyes attention, was the feathered brained blue and white clothed Wizard and snow ball owl. Standing up he thought about the denizens of this world, always needing his guiding touch. “That being a quick kick in the butt, by boot!” At that he stopped in his tracks and shook his head. “I sound like that raddled brained Ranger Minsc and his rat pet Boo.” Putting behind that disturbing thought he moved once more. “PIPER!” Allowing his nasal toned voice to carry over the simians guards. “Why is everyone standing around dancing like some Calimshan courtesan?”
Mazithra-Amakiir 10-22-04, 09:15 PM	A sudden rip in the time and space continuum came into being, causing a multicolored shimmering of air to form within the area of the Red Wizards' Market. A tall, shrouded form of mystery steped forth from the shimmering mass of air, glancing about. Whoever the figure was, he neared seven feet tall, the cowl of his head calmy glancing back and forth at the activity about the place. Strapped to his sword, the mysterious figure carried a giant sword, the sheath embroidered with all kinds of symbols and runes. The sword, and the giant mystery, both exuded a cold calmness, an unpredictable nature, and, particularly the sword, exuded a hatred for magic. The figure inclines his head towards where all the commotion with Agudo and the Red Wizard guards are... "What manner of Chaos has made its appearance in this encampment of closed-minded, ne'er-do-well, conniving Red Wizards?" Mazithra had heard of the Red Wizards before; they were beings possessing the cruellest nature than any mortal group had ever possessed. Of course, the Devils had a torturous nature, from what he had seen whilst he hunted them...Still, Mazithra had heard that the Red Wizards possessed some potent magical items. What's more, he wanted to take in their culture first-hand. Just some days ago, he had encountered a fool of a Red Wizard. The man probably wouldn't now an Archmage's Staff from a stick of wood, he'd wager...With an perceptive mind and a curious tone, Mazithra notes that the clanking of armor seems to be getting louder and louder behind the tents... "A mild commotion designed by chaos and settled by a seeming sense of order, or has something larger than Fate transpired to occur, some event that requires my intervention?" The figure's cold speech seemed to get no answer and, after a moment, he made his way over to the sound of all of the commotion of the guards, and what he could've sworn out was the sound of Lady Hoot yelling...
Pipers Youth 10-30-04, 02:41 PM	The red wizard ignored hoot's blabbering and turned to face the approaching man. The man was non other than Edwin Odesseiron, the grumpiest Red Wizard in all of Thay. "Your just in time Lord Edwin to see the demise of Agudo Archmage." Piper gestured to one of the soldiers behind him. A runner quickly scrambled up to the traveling companions. The solider stopped twenty five paces from Agudo, pulled a scroll from his waist, and began to shout, "Agudo Archmage, by order of his Excellency, I pronounce a sentence of death upon you. Your life and lands are now forfeit. Lay down your weapons and submit to General Hage. Do this, and you will receive a swift and honorable death at the hands of the Red Wizards." Without waiting for a reply, the messenger quickly furled the scroll into it's tube, turned, and ran back to his position. General Hage grinned and stepped forward as he drew his hammer and thrust his weapon forward, signaling to the troop around Agudo, and then scowled," Take em' boys!" In response the twenty soldiers lowered their pikes and converged on Agudo. As the troops converged on Agudo and Hoot, Piper looked away and a tear rolled down his cheek, but quickly lopped it up with his sleeve. ooc{after Agudo's next post I will stop and continue on a new thread entitled, The Trechory of a Red Wizard.}ooc
