A Vampire Game is on where most or all the players are in fact vampires. I've ran and play a few however, there's one element most DMs/GMs/Storytellers miss, time. Vampires are in fact immortal. Why do games go from night to night in game time? Why not year to year, decade to decade. Why not the city they were mortal changes and grows into a larger one before there eyes?

These are just a few ideas I have.

Using civilization 3's graphics, I think I might create a medieval city, that will form the capital of a late medieval empire on through the Ren and then a revolution will bring down the ruling class (French) and the walls will no longer be needed. Eventually, it will grow industrial and then modern. The Vampires are confined as an ancient pact with the werewolves. The Vampires stay in the city, the werewolves stay outside the walls. Yes, a little bit WOD.

Using Western Front graphics, I intend to create a French town in the early to mid 19th century. As time moves on, the river will be walled, the rail roads will be built, buildings will grow and grow into the countryside, the manors the vampires lived will have houses built around them, street lights will be put in, the main road will be paved etc., then, war will come and ruin the city, only to have it rebuilt.

With Russian history and using Patrician 2 graphics, I might make a 1400s Russian town, out of wood sitting on slits, like Venice, on a Russian river. The "Star" of this game is a Russian noble, infact, the son of the ruller of the town and heir to the throne, so to speak. He will become involved with vampries and taken away, only to come back decades later to find this weak, little brother, has successfully defended the town from the Golden Horde an even has a statue in the town square. The town will be much better off and wealthier. They will have new rivals, other towns. Whatever the, "Star" wishes, will happen, however, using Eastern Front graphics, I will recreate the town centuries in the future during the Great Patriotic War.

Nuff' ideas, for one day.

Thoughts on time?

Any ideas of your own?

Sounds like a great idea!
One method of accomplishing this is based on campaign focus.
Early adventures/encounters woud be necessarily simple: Feedings, angry mobs with torches and pitchforks, etc... Then as the PCs gain power (go up in levels), the feeding escapades become less important, so those encounters can be reduced to plot-neccessary status.
This way, at the beginning/for the first few levels, things don't change much. The adventures are nightly as the new vampires learn about their new un-life. After they gain a few levels, the adventures would becom less about keeping themselves fed, and more about... Something else. They could progress to weekly, then monthly, and eventually whole decades could pass between sessions.
