| Sorcen_Anenooata01-28-07, 07:42 PM | OOC: This is the Tournament thread for the arena. Only participants in the tournament should post here, anyone else with comments or anything else should go here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=690947) to post said comments. :OOC A large portion of the arena is cleared and the announcer, Belfanor, walks out to the center of the reserved area. He raises a hand for silence and speaks with a booming emphasis on his first syllable to catch the attention of everyone, "Welcome all you fans of master Sorcen's arena. The moment we have all been waiting for draws near, the tournament will begin soon now that we have our matches set up. Master Sorcen, a few words on this grand event about to unfold before our very eyes?" He raises a hand to the judges stands as Sorcen stands and walks to the balcony's edge to address his great audience. "Thank you Belfanor. Yes the tournament will begin very soon. I thank you all for being here and wish to read a note I was given earlier from the Magic School ran by the great wizard Septimus: Power is as power goes Here it surges, there it flows As for fun, it's always fun Now which one of us's the One?" He pauses for effect and resumes his speech, "So lets get to the matches then, back to you Lord Belfanor." Belfanor smiles and bows to Sorcen before quickly turning to the crowd and getting them roaring for the matches, "Aaaallright then lets get this thing started, first up we have the mistress of darkness herself... Syra Kravon. And her opponent the Lord of the Moon and Keeper of the Twelfth Gate... Lafali Lathi." The crowd rises to a roar and cheers as the first combatants enter the arena. Belfanor moves out of the way of these two combatants and levitates himself to a spot where the next two combatants await the announcement of their match, "Here we have two more brave souls, the physical manifestation of chaos itself... Sevifor and his opponent... the crusader of Pelor... Rynce D'Janas." |

| Lord_Gareth01-28-07, 09:59 PM | "Mistress of Darkness? You've got me confused with my father. I'm just a close friend to the shadows." Syra steps out of a shadow, smiling merrily with her twin blades drawn. She waves to her students in the crowd. "Watch kids! See what the Darkness gives its friends! It's lonely, needs more friends anyway. The rest of the world is like a clique, just hatin' on it." She steels herself and looks for her foe, blue eyes sparkling with mischeif. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-28-07, 10:58 PM | A slight shimmer forms near Syra, as Lafali emerges from it. He no longers wields ether moowhisper or morning glory, as endless night took there places in his sash Lafali bows before the audience and judges, then turns toward syra and bows before her. "Its an honnor to meet you, may the best person win. When ever you are ready lets begin." Lafali takes a defensive stance low to the ground, with his right hand touching the ground and his left behind his back. |
| Gideon_Gideonson01-28-07, 11:28 PM | The gates open once more, and the mighty frame of Rynce D'Janas is sillouetted against the sunlight. Light glints of his armor as he rides forward, and the stadium rings with the thunderous footsteps of his mount as several tons of impenetrable armor and powerful beast lumber to the battlefield. Arriving in the center of the arena, Rynce unstraps a shield from his back and unclips a lance of white oak from Brian's saddle. He reaches down to lovingly pat the mighty beasts armor-plated neck, then raises his lance in salute to the judges. "By the light, I am ready." |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 03:17 PM | "A gentleman. Don't find too many of you nowadays. But don't you know the man is supposed to lead the dance? Like so." Syra steps back and waves her hand. Lafali's shadow surges up to meld with its owner, and he can feel his body moving against his will. His mind is perfectly free; it is more like a telekinetic force. He staggers back, moving jerkily, while Syra continues to smile cheerily. "Left yer mouth under your control, but that's about it. Having fun yet?" She reaches into her own shadow, drawing forth a staff made of shadowstuff. She slams the butt into the ground, and the light is devoured, leaving the Arena in absolute darkness. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 03:34 PM | "Ahh, so you do wish to dance?" Lafali lets his guard down as his shadow controls his body. "And yes I am having fun? But did you get the right one I wounder?" As lafali was speaking several clones of him appeared around the arena, each one acting the same. As one lafali's smiles, "Can you tell whos the real me?" |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 03:40 PM | "Nope. Not the slightest clue in the world. But hey, when life gives you more than one dance partner, you switch off. Observe, if you can still see." Syra melds with the shadows around her, the staff dissapating into the darkness it created. One Lafali after another can feel her knives rip into him, striking for vital areas. But even as they search for the elusive foe, she's gone, a part of the darkness itself. Her voice comes from everywhere, and nowhere. "Or, I could just do this." And the darkness grows blades, cold as death. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 03:51 PM | "Very good, I wasn't expecting that." One by one the clones drops to the ground, before disolving into the mist that formed them. Till none are left. Out of the darkness the syra created you hear, "Didn't you know? I to use shadow and darkness, one of the perks of beening the Lord of the Moon." Lafali starts to chant a song in a long forgoten language, syra can feel the very essence of darkness answers his call. You can feel the chains of doom seeking your death though the darkness. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 03:59 PM | Lafali's spell begins to reach out, and then fizzles away. "No, no, I think there'll be none of that, finger-waggler. I'm the daughter of the Lord of Shadow, only my father can hurt me with Darkness. Until then, the shadows remain my friend. Now, let's move on from beginner's dancing to the Waltz. An elegant, slow dance, to be sure, but most complex, no?" The darkness begins to harden, becoming more and more solid as each second passes. "I don't think you can run fast enough to prevent a stasis." This is one o' dem Cross-Match effects. The whole arena is in darkness, and the whole darkness is hardening. To let Gideon and his opponent know. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 04:15 PM | "My dear child, do you think your father is the only one who may harm you with darkness? Dose a moon not cast shadows over the land? Dose it not reflect the light of the sun? Dose it not affect the gravity of the planet that it orbits? All of those powers and more are Mine. Here let me demonstrate." Lafali gathers what little light there is in the area, for he has found that no mater how dark it is there is always some light. Untill he glows softly like the moon on a cloudless night. "Though it would be fun avoiding your darkness, I simple don't have time for it right now." As he is giving off the light he has no shadows. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 04:28 PM | First, Magical Darkness. Second, she never said anything about the Moon, she was talking about Darkness. "You know, normally, that would help. But now I get to play around inside you. What secrets does your soul hide?" Lafali can feel Syra slip into his soul, into the dark part where all his sins, all his lies and secrets lie. The core of evil that even the most pure hide. "This'll be fun. I wonder, what happens when I hit this?" Like a knife going through him, Lafali can feel a gash in his soul where Syra is ripping through it. |
| Khael01-29-07, 04:32 PM | As the combatants fight, the sky over head becomes overcast, deep purple clouds spiraling, before a great white moon opens in the centre, like a mighty eye of the heavens... while below, chunks of hewn stone unearth themselves to the tune of some howling beast as chains tear free from the ground to plunge into the arena walls, the pillars even the sky, as wailing spirits dance about... OOC: The first two combats have their battle field... |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 04:58 PM | "Feel free to roam around in there, I have nothen to hide. Though for you own shake I woundn't go near Endless Night. It likes to fead off of mortal's souls." Lafali shows syra ever act he has ever done, both good an evil. She see a much younger lafali battleing countless demons and devil across a pitch black landscape. Then battleing great dragons in his true form. She sees him in his natural form, gliding though the multiverse as he see fit. The first time he ever wielded Endless Night. She feels the pain it causes him ever time he touchs it. The battlelust, the way he traps the souls of those he killed within it, the pure joy of knowing that with it no one can stop him. As you shift though lafali soul you see his granfather, creator of Endless Night. His glossy black scales shin with such luster, yes black scales. For you find out that lafali is no gold dragon, but a dragon far older. Cosmic Dragon are what they call themselfs. You see his granfather fighting with a humanoid clad in red and gold full plate. You see the figure strike down his granfather, but not before endless night beheads him. As the two fell there life failing them they both utter a dieing curse, kill all withing they reach. You see lafali, with endless night, slaughtering entire citys seeking the last of the ancent ones who killed everone he cared about, leaving him the last of his race. You see him find morning light, you stay with him for the years he spent listening to what the moon had to say, as the eons of his life you travel. You see him create the twelves gates of power. Seeking those worther of beconing a keeper. You see his fight with shiro, with gareth, the training he underwent to remaster some of endless night abilitys, and finaly you see him enter the arena with you as an opponent. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 05:22 PM | You are aware that Syra is CUTTING INTO Lafali's soul? She's not sorting through his dirty laundry, she's attacking. "Nice show. I don't care." Syra delivers a vicious kick to the dragon's soul, ripping into it again with her daggers. Lafali gets the distinct impression of Syra's face looking grim. "I hate to do this, but if it works, it works." |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 05:37 PM | I am aware of that, but as long as he has endless night his soul is guarded. And endless night dosn't give up what it has claimed easley. Syra attack is stops by the souls traped within endless night. "Feel free to keep on attacking my soul, but endless night guards what it has claimed." Syra feels herself expiled from lafali soul. Lafali has drawn endless night, once again he appearance darkens. An eclipse passes over the white moon above. "I must say that I felt that last kick, you sure your not a monk?" He then draws 3 small blades from the foulds of his kimono and throws them toward syra. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 05:49 PM | Stop typing 'cyra'. It's SYRA! GAAARG! "Oh biscuts." Syra slides into her own shadow hastily, the blades barely whizzing over her as she enters the darkness. Again, she melds with the darkness around Lafali, held at bay only by his moon glow. "You know, light typically holds off the dark. Even a candle flame can restrain my power, or my father's, as long as it continues to burn. But, if I really need it to, Darkness can snuff out the Light. It's a special favor it does for me, as a friend. Even my father can't get it to do this." Lafali's light surges, its nature rebelling against what is happening. But the dark grows as well, until the light shatters and the Arena is again plunged into absolute dark. "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, shadow to shadow, and blood to blood." Lafali feels something wet and hot strike his cheek, and realizes from the scent that it is blood. The darkness rips towards him, sharp as a blade and cold as the Void from which it sprang. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 06:13 PM | OOC:Ack so sorry about that. Fixed them:OOC As his blood drips from his wound lafali strikes at the darkness with endless night, syra sences that his blade is feeding off of it. With each strike his wound slowly heals untill all that is left is the dryed blood on his black kimono. "Fang of the Nightwing", with one last strike at the darkness lafali sends an arc of dragonic energy where he thinks syra is. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 06:21 PM | Syra laughs. "Idiot. I AM the darkness right now. Your senses mean nothing here. But hey, my gain, your loss." Searing pain rips through Lafali. It's as though a thousand knives of pure ice are shredding his skin into a macabre lemon zest. "Seriously, do you think I'm gonna leave? I'm perfectly fine striking without you hitting back. I'm kinda breakable, dragon. Besides, I don't get to julienne people often." |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 06:28 PM | Lafali softly smiles as srya attack hits him. "Clearly you dont plain ahead much do you?" "Fang of the Nightwing", once again lafali strikes at the darkness with his dragonic energy. "One more to go" he softly wishpers. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 06:32 PM | "Nope. And proud of it. Here's hoping you're bluffing. Actually, screw that. Here's taking your sword." Unseen against the other parts of the dark, an icy tendril wraps around Endless Night, heaving with the strength of a Titan. Simoultaeneously, Syra materializes in front of Lafali, slamming her dagger pommels into his face to break his grip on the sword. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 06:45 PM | Syra fells the wrath of the countless souls trapped within endless night as her icy tendril wraps around it. But not before she hits him in the face. "What did you expect to accomplis with that?" With a mighty tug he breaks endless night free. With the rest of his momentum he kicks at her, aimed at her right side. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 06:47 PM | "Taking the damned sword." Syra catches the foot with another tendril of darkness, flipping Lafali over. Exposed now, she backs off, hurling shards of darkness with deadly precision. "Gods, I wish my Shadowguard was here. Oh well, that's what I get for helping people." Hurling another handful of dagger-like shards, she turns and runs into the darkness, dissapearing from view. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 06:55 PM | Ignoring the shards as they tear though him, lafali lands softly on his feet. "Fang of the Nightwing", as he stikes at the darkness one last time with his dragonic energy. Shattering th last of his blades he hurled at syra earler. As the magical darkness that syra hides within rabidly srinks to from an orb of six inchs in the palm of his left hand. Lafali looks within it to see if he traped his opponent. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 07:03 PM | Syra bursts, fully fledged, out of the dark, slamming into Lafali at a tremendous speed. Her knives rip into him, and she uses her momentum to roll over him and run, trying to place distance between herself and him. "Nice try, " she yells, "But you can't cage me in the dark!" |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 07:12 PM | "When did I say I was trying to cage you? But I do need to heal up some before I do anything else. Thanks for all this darkness you gave me." Lafali then absorbs the orb into himself, as his wounds fades away. With a flick of his wrist he sends more of those tiny baldes toward syra, but unlike before they seem to follow strands of shadow that connects to her chest. |
| Lord_Gareth01-29-07, 07:16 PM | Syra looks down, seeing the shadow, and then the blades. "Oh hell no. Other direction, please." The shadow shimmers, and the blades turn around. "How many times do I need to tell you not to use Darkness against me? It's a bad plan. Oh, and by the way, that darkness wasn't given. Have fun with this." As Lafali absorbs the darkness, something goes wrong. That feeling, the thousand knives of ice, is back, this time on the inside, cutting into veins and muscle. |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-29-07, 07:37 PM | "And when will you learn that you face someone who also use shadow and darkness." Slowly he lifts endless night high above him, "Banki". The darkness gathers around him, forming into dragonscale mail that covers his body. Great dragonic wings forms on his back, lifting him high into the air. "Roar of the Nightlord", as lafali unleashes a mighty roar, endless night hums with its own voice. Bloodlust fills his eyes as he dives toward syra. |
| ank01-29-07, 10:15 PM | The opposing gate crashes open, and the spectators wait in anticipation for a few seconds before the form of Sevifor emerges onto the arena floor. He turns to face the judges booth and bows low to to the ground before Sorcen. Turning, he addresses his opponent with a slightly less low, but still humble, bow. He walks to a spot directly across from Rynce and says "I sincerly hope that I do not give you too much trouble; whatever I do in this battle, I do hope you will come to forgive me for it." So saying, his eye close momentarily, only to burst open as his skin goes flying off of his body to reveal a vaguely humanoid shape comprised of choas matter. His name on the sign-up instantly changes to a blood red and begins to pulse softly. With a snap of his fingers, his skin reforms itself around his body "I don't suppose Lord Sorcen would be pleased to have the weaker willed in his audience thrown into temporary insanity now would he?" You can tell even now that this illusion he has conjured only hides the true being underneath. He makes an inviting gesture and says Come on then, lets not make this last forever, or is the mighty ball of fluff afraid to make the first move. A wicked grin spreads across his face... |
| Gideon_Gideonson01-30-07, 04:05 PM | Rynce snorts at Sevifor's impressive entrance. "Huh. Chaos incarnate, and your grand entrance is knocking open a door and jumping out of your skin. The weakest demons give a better show, so you'll have to forgive me if I'm not trembling in my boots. As for the mighty ball of fluff...yes, I have fur. What of it? Do you have some problem with me? Is Chaos frightened of a Bugbear? Because I'm not afraid of you in the slightest. Primals...Ha!" With that, Rynce D'Janas crouchs low in the saddle, and Brian surges foward, a juggernaut of impossible force. The ringing noise as the oaken lance hits Sevifor fills the arena, and Sevifor is lifted off his feet by the force of the blow. "Laugh this one off!" |
| Lord_Gareth01-30-07, 05:47 PM | Syra sighs in exasperation and snaps her fingers. The breastplate Lafali created contracts sharply, threatening to turn him into a very meaty liquid. "I'd quit doing that if I were you." |
| ank01-30-07, 06:49 PM | Sevifor lets out a low grunt as the lance impales him "Tomarrow, perhaps, but I have work to do now." So saying, he swiftly melts off the lance-point to drip with a sickening splatter to the ground. It forms itself into a ball and rolls under Brian. Halfway through its journey, the ball forms two arm-like apendages from which twin daggers sprout. They dig into Brians underbelly and drag a thin trail of blood with them as Sevifor emerges from underneath the beast and reforms on the other side. Keeping a firm grip on his weapons, Sevifor turns to face his opponent Really now, that tickled, can't you land any more than a glancing blow? Then again, why should I expect so much of a man whose mount is smarter than he is? |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-30-07, 07:25 PM | As the breastplate starts to shrink its disolves into the darkness that formed it, moments laters to reform stronger then ever. Lafali lands next to syra, becomming a blur as he strikes at her from evey possible angle. |
| Lord_Gareth01-30-07, 07:50 PM | As the breastplate dissolves into darkness, Syra seizes her chance and melds with it, hiding in the essence of what forms it. "You won't beat me with shadows, fool. Accept it. Now, die." The breastplate ripples, then two foot spikes rip into Lafali from the interior, harder than adamantine and with Darkness's cold touch. Must..resist..urge to rant...godmodding...not happening on...Gaelro's part yet....but it's close..... |
| Gaelro_Nailo01-30-07, 09:12 PM | Lafali fades away into the mist, as his armor drops to the floor. Reforming a few feet away you can see blood dripping from his left shoulder. "Blasted, that hurt.", lafali thrusts endless night deeply into the arena so only the hilt can be seen. "I think I'll leave you here for right now as darkness dosn't seem to like me." He then reaches into his left sleeves and pulls out an slim chain of moonlight, attached at the end is a small kama. Spinning it around he waits to see what syra dose. "Its been awhile since I have used this, I hope I don't mess up." The end of the chain is up his sleeve fyi. |
| Gideon_Gideonson01-30-07, 09:21 PM | Spinning his mount around at suprising speed, Rynce's face twists into a mocking grin, and he sneers at the creature he faces. "A glancing blow? Against some sort of choatic sludge? Not likely." Throwing aside his lance, Rynce reaches down to his saddle and draws his massive morningstar. Erthynul's snarling face leers menacingly from within the tangle of spikes as Rynce spins the weapon faster and faster, and is suddenly obscured as brilliant white fire engulfs the weapon. Rynce slams the burning mace deep into his foe's amorphous body, and the holy fire rages within Sevifor. Gritting his teeth as the chaotic backlash rips through him, Rynce snarls at his foe. "Something has to work against you! And woe betide you when I find it." |
| ank01-30-07, 10:16 PM | Ouch! gods that be, that hurt! he thinks to himself. Certainly an amorphous body is good for some things. The ability to move blows where you want them is a useful feature for making them, for example, out of sight. Still smarting from his last blow, Sevifor tries not to show his pain from this most recent among them. He jumps to the side, becoming chaotic 'sludge,' and leaps to his feet. He manages to pull off a descent smile and says "When you figure it out, drop me a line; until then..." The knives are thrust out of his hands, trailing chaos energy behind them. In the air, these two strands connect to each other and the knives begins a whirling about each other, heading straight for Rynce's neck. |
| Gideon_Gideonson01-30-07, 10:26 PM | The blades strike, wrapping around Rynce's neck. Luckily for the crusader, however, his battered armor holds strong, and the raised neckgaurd catches the worst of the blow. Sparks fly as metal hits metal, and the high pitched whine the contact creates grates on the eardrums like fingernails on a chalkboard. Rynce reaches up and grabs the blades in one massive gauntlet, breaking the connecting bond almost instantly. The daggers are dwarfed in his massive fist, and he squeezes, grinding them to powder. Opening his hand, he lets the broken pieces fall to the ground, and, spurring Brian on, he charges. Light and flames trail from his morningstar as he swings it back, and, as he approaches Sevifor, it ignites, burning with impossible brillance. Rynce appears to be holding a sun on a handle, and, granted force by Brian's momentum, it swings foward with unstoppable force, trailing sparks and holy fire. "If Pelor's will alone is not enough to stop you, maybe the flames of the Pelorian sun are. By the light! You will be destroyed!" |
| ank01-31-07, 07:14 AM | Hmm, that might hurt a little... Two wings of adamantine sprout from his back. This time, the discomfort is displayed on his face, but it soon passes when complete. Sevifor leaps into the air with his newly formed wings, but is too slow to avoid Rynce completely. The Pelorian sun crashes into a wing with tremendous force, shattering it just as Sevifor is lauched upward, now spiraling out of control. His arm becomes replaced with a whip-like tendril that lashes out and wraps itself around Rynce's heavy mace. "Hot! Hot! Hot! Hot! Hot!!" Sevifor uses his momentum to run sideways on the invisable barrier that protectes Sorcen's audience. Pulling fiercly on the fiery-hot mace, he launches himself off the wall straight towards his adversary, who is forced to give a mighty heave just to keep his own weapon from smacking him in the face. The recoil snaps the tendril about two feet away, and the longer bit retracts itself into Sevifor; the other segment coils around Rynce's sword-arm and takes the shape of a very confused, very scared serpent as Sevifor speeds towards the Paladin... |
| Gideon_Gideonson01-31-07, 03:10 PM | Rynce heaves mightly on his morningstar, and the force of his own pull sends the weapon flying out of his grasp. He pays no heed to the stunned snake wrapped around his arm, but instead stares wide-eyed at the creature charging towards him. Rynce whips the the reins hard, causing the snake to sink its fangs into his arm, but, for all his efforts, rhinos are not made for speedy dodges. He barely has time to curse before Sevifor collides with him, adamantine wings ringing out dully as they strike heavy armor. "Balor's bloo---!" Rynce is flung from the saddle with a horrible snapping noise and a scream of pain. He is thrown to the arena floor, and it soon becomes apparent what the problem is. His greaves are bent and split, and the legs beneath them are protrude shattered bone...for Rynce was locked in his saddle when Sevifor struck. The paladin struggles feebly to rise, the effects of his injury and the serpents poison glaringly obvious. Grunts of pain mark his slow ascent, but he simply cannot pull himself up. Down, but not out. Your move... |
| ank02-01-07, 06:21 PM | Sevifor lands on his feet in a crouching posistion. He stands slowly, and walks to the spot where Rynce's morningstar fell. He gives it a firm kick, satisfied that the holy fire is long since dead. Some weapon you've got there. One must wonder why Pelor would allow his cherished servant to wield the weapon of his most dreadful enemy." He turns to face the struggling Rynce and smiles Or perhaps you have been disloyal... His face shifts into a twisted mockery of Pelor's, with a sickly grin. A brilliant heavy mace appears in his right hand, and he slowly advances. His footsteps echoing hallowly off the stadium walls. "You know, I've always wondered what it is like to die, what's the last thing that goes through a dying man's head. I've heard many opinions on the subject, all them varied." He stops just out of reach of the fallen bugbear, and says solemnly: But I can say with great ceratinty that the last to go through yours will be... my weapon! Taking a final step forwards, Sevifor brings the mace down hard in a wide arc... |
| Revlis_Nogard02-01-07, 06:39 PM | Ignore/wrong thread |
| Gideon_Gideonson02-01-07, 06:57 PM | ...and watches in horror as Rynce D'Janas reaches out with one gauntleted hand, grabbing the weapon regardless of the energy surging through it...and stopping it dead. For a brief moment, neither combatant moves. The stadium is silent. And then, like the birth of a star...like the inferno of a supernova...the mace explodes with a light brighter than a thousand suns. The audience screams in pain as the blinding radiance fills their eyes and eats at the blackness of their demonic hearts. Sevifor is engulfed in light so brilliant that no shadows remain in the stadium...everything is a blinding white. And then, like an ancient ship rising from the deep...like some sleeping titan finally awakened...Rynce D'Janas rises from the arena floor. Broken armor screams its resistance as his shattered legs force it into submission, but Rynce D'Janas does not care. His body glows with the light, and his eyes flash the color of molten gold. In his hands burns the mace Sevifor struck out with, its head an inferno of holy light and divine power. His voice booms out over the arena. "No." "The Midnight Sun will not fall to a weapon of evil...not while dawn is still on the horizon. I have waited to long to fail the Morning Lord now. The end to night is near, monster. Your era is closing fast." Rynce raises the mace above his head, and a shaft of white light strikes downward from the heavens, striking the paladin in the chest...and, as it does so, his unearthly glow brightens. Where he stood is a throbbing, pulsing beacon of holy light, and the radiant figure points an out-thrust hand at Sevifor. "Monster...the Morning Lord sends his regards. The dawn comes for you. May the light cleanse your wicked soul!" And when it comes, the blast of pure brightness...coloress, yet brighter than anything the world has yet seen...bores a hole straight through the creature... ...a hole, opening his soul to the light of Pelor. Sorry...a little dramatic...but I think you're still alive. Sevifor seems pretty tough. I think he'll survive. |
| ank02-01-07, 07:31 PM | The hole fills itself in with flesh, and a holy radience shines in Sevifor's eyes. He starts, as if waking from a dream, and looks about him. "My, My, My, you brought me back did you? Quite frankly I wish you haden't, it's much easier to decapitate one's foes when you care not a scrap for them. I feel even stronger than before." He sighs heavily and continues "But you bring the dawn too quickly, forcing me from hiding, but I cannot stay; such is the nature of one such as I. The gods may twist us, use us, create and destroy us, but they can never exert a lasting control over the uncontrolable. For every dawn, there must be a dusk. For every day, there is a night. For all the good in this world, there is just as much evil. I am all these things, forever forced to endure them" His eyes glaze over and get the distinct impression that although he is looking at you, he sees another world. "I should not be, cannot be, and yet I am. I am trapped in this worthless shell that you consider a body. To me, everything is transient, my mood, my form, even my memories; only through sheer force of will do I hold on to what I hold dear. I alone of all my tortured peers could live this life, and the rest were slaughtered. Someday I will find the one who cursed me with existance, and shall show him a fate worse than death." He shakes his head at memories long past and places a hand on Rynce's would-be shoulder. "But enough of the past, I thank you for what you have shown me, and it shall join the few things that I will eternally remember. Come, the evil one shall return soon, you'd best take your advantage while you have it; I have not the heart to strike..." |
| Gideon_Gideonson02-01-07, 07:40 PM | But Rynce shakes his massive head. "I cannot strike you down. I want to, but I cannot. Not until the evil returns. My god and my own morals forbid it. Injury, yes...but that would do no good." Rynce lays his hands on Sevifor's shoulders. "But when it returns...I will strike. Know that. Enjoy what time you have left." |
| ank02-01-07, 07:54 PM | The stadium sits in an eerie silece for some time, both combatants staring at each other. After some time, Sevifor takes a cross-legged position on the ground of the stadium. "You have a moment, if I were you, I'd go look after your mount, he seems a bit distrought." As more time passes, the audience grows restless from all the inactivity. After a few minutes Sevifor's voice can be heard, load and clear. "The dark one comes, ready yourself." His voice is tence and he sounds irritated, as if even speaking those words took a great effort. Moments pass, and he slowly rises from the floor and walks of to Rynce D'Janas. Too late does the paladin recognise the murderous glint in Sevifor's god-forsaken eyes. Leaping into action, a huge blob jumps forwards, sporting a cavernous mouth and rows of glistening teeth... |
| Gideon_Gideonson02-01-07, 07:58 PM | As the mouth opens wide, Rynce spins around, thrusting his hands deep within the monstrous maw. And the energy flows through him. Arcing light burns into Sevifor's evil self as Rynce channels the might of Pelor into the creatures innards. Flames leap and dance throughout the incarnate as the creature bites down, only to shatter its teeth on the holy armor. Rynce locks eyes with Sevifor, and his voice is cold. "Greetings, monster. We meet again...and this time, it will not be I who fall." "Goodbye, Sevifor." |
| ank02-01-07, 08:15 PM | ARGHH!!! A horrible scream comes from him as Sevifor as the holy flames ravenge his body. Fighting hard against it, two tendrils emerge from his sides and creep their way up and under Rynce's armor. They wrap themselves once around his midsection. Hiding behind your god like a scared child...let him save you...from...this! The two tendrils pierce his unprotected sides, and Rynce feels a dull chill spread from the contact as his innards are ravanged by the merciless tentacles. |
| Gideon_Gideonson02-01-07, 08:37 PM | Rynce screams in pain as Chaos itself rages within him, and he begins to cough up blood. His eyes go wide and his mouth gapes noiselessly, and the mace falls from his senseless fingers. Then, slowly, he reaches down and rips the tendrils out from his chest. A throaty roar of pain fills the arena, and Rynce D'Janas falls to his knees. Sevifor throws his head back and laughs... And then Brian comes crashing up from behind, a juggernaut come to the defense of his master. Sevifor turns around in time to see the great beast rearing up, pawing the air, before five tons of beast and armor come crashing down upon him. |
| ank02-01-07, 09:08 PM | Sevifor whirls 'round to stare at the enormous foot that stands poised over him. "Oh hell n--" Brian stamps down hard, causing the ground shake and pinning Sevifor by his midsection. He retracts all of his vitals to safer areas of his body, but the damage is already done. He cannot move and his stomach is flat as a pancake. He wheezes for air and struggles to hold onto his life while pretending to play dead at the same time. Although he does not bleed, you can see that his figurative muscles are going limp, and the fight slowly goes out of him. He lies there, seeing visions of the life he is so desperately clinging to...this accursed life that shouldn't be. |
| Gideon_Gideonson02-01-07, 09:16 PM | Rynce crawls fowards, a broken and beaten man. As he reaches his foe, his strength drain, and he collaspes across his foe's body. His hand rises feebly, towards the heavens, and then falls again to rest across the two fallen combatants. As he loses consciousness, he breathes a broken words. "I see...the...distant dawn...fading. Pelor...grant me the...strength...to accept...this fate. The Midnight...Sun...is dying. Forgive...me." Rynce D'Janas's eyes roll up into his head, and all is blackness. We ready for a ruling? Sorcen asked if we were ready, and I leave the choice to you. Cause either way, I can bring Rynce back. He's probably dead, but he's coming back, one way or the other. |
| ank02-01-07, 09:27 PM | Yes, I do suppose it would be a good time for a ruling. I could swing either way as well, by having him stabalize himself just barely once Brain gets off, but I do believe that we've seen the way this battle is going to go (Rynce swings weapon, blasts with holy flame, follows with holy intonation; Sevifor counters with custom attack, follows with taunt, repeat;) ) So, i guess yes, lets get a ruling. Good game, I enjoyed it. P.S. to sorcen and other judges, sorry to post OOC in this thread, but I figured that I could do it so that Gideons would get my message and because this thread (as far as I know) is only being used once. |
| Lord_Gareth02-01-07, 09:34 PM | "Shadow Soul." Syra whips her hand in a brief arc, and the natural shadows of the arenagoers descend to cover her battlefield in darkness once more. But something feels wrong somehow. This darkness is opressive, menacing, as if it longs for nothing more than to snuff out both combatants within it. "Ah, much better. Now, Lafali, let's see what I can do with this." She waves her hand again, her voice intoning with power and emotion. "Call of the Fallen." The chains shackling Lafali's inner demons, the dark parts of his soul which exist only as sparks of hate and malice, begin bursting. He can feel control slipping as his soul begins spiraling into darkness. |
| Gaelro_Nailo02-02-07, 07:37 PM | Lafali visibly struggles to control his inner deamons, as he loses his concentrations the kusari-gama fades away. Dropping to one knee a silent spell is upon his lips. Slowly calms down, as he overcomes syra magic. "Next time would you be so kind and to give me some warning next time." Getting back up lafali seem to be wounded even more, his left arm is limp. Unknow to the combatents Endless Night is pulsing, slowly gathering the darkness around it. |
| Sorcen_Anenooata02-02-07, 07:39 PM | OOC: Aye that OOC post was fine because it was directly related to the match and wasnt starting a conversation/argument. We came to a decision that Ank has won the match narrowly, it was a hard decision, good job to the both of you. So you guys go ahead and end the match appropiately. Thanks. :OOC |
| Revlis_Nogard02-02-07, 10:44 PM | Amidst the chaos and bloodshed of the arena, a small shadow slips in. From this shadow, a figure emerges, wearing jet black armor, with two strips of rusted metal attached over what seem to be gashes in the breastplate. He wears no helm, allowing the spectators to see filed-down stumps where it seems two horns should emerge on his forehead. The man is now in full light, his eyes red like blood and his hair black as coal. "Hmm...now, I just need an opponent." |
| Gideon_Gideonson02-03-07, 11:09 AM | A brilliant shaft of light strikes downward, catching Rynce's body in the center of its chest. Slowly the once mighty bugbear begins to disintegrate, dissolving before the onslaught of light. His armor melts and flows to the ground, and his lifeless body turns to burning ash. Those with the ability to see such things see no soul rise upward. Soon nothing is left but the great blade Alter, affixed point first in the ground, its spreading crosshilt rising up as a memorial to Rynce D'Janas... ...the paladin who never found redemption. And the great beast Brian, seeing this, turns away from Sevifor and lumbers out of the arena. Its path is set out before it, and it moves forcefully...and keeps walking up until the moment it enters into the river of fire at the bottom of the Great Chasm, where its dying spirit joins that of its departed master...caught between the afterlives of good and evil, floating in the void of utter nothingness... ...forever. |
| Lord_Gareth02-03-07, 07:59 PM | Syra senses the activity of Endless Night. The sword is draining away her shadows. "That sword is a damned nuisance. Say goodbye to it, Lafali." She concentrates, feeling out the blade's dark essence. She snaps her wrist downward, and the blade shatters down to the hilt into powder, the power contained within undone. "Wait, there's something I just...oh shiz." The magical energy, formerly contained by the blade, erupts in a cataclysm of blue light. Syra seizes her chance and slides into the shadows, using her increased speed to outrun the blast. But the effort is futile. The energy catches up with the elf, who cries out and is thrown forward. She staggers to her feet, the back of her outfit seared away, and most of the flesh missing from her back due to the light. "Gods above and demons below, fires of all Nine Hells, that HURTS!" Syra clutches her back, gingerly wrapping shadows around herself as she watches Lafali. Gaelro and I already discussed the possibility of breaking Endless Night and came to the conclusion that, because the blade is an aspect of darkness, Syra can control or demolish it. In this case, she demolished it. |
| Gaelro_Nailo02-03-07, 08:45 PM | Wow you did it. Now I need a new weapon :P As the blue energy expans, lafali is engulfed by it. Feeling the wraith of those he traped within his broken blade, he is brought to his knees by his unknow attakers. "Blast it. You would think they would forgive something as small as trapping there souls." With his good hand he hurls an orb of moonlight toward the remains of endless night, finishing off what syra started. As the dust is purified by the light, the souls depart to where they belong, mostly to one of lower planes. Lafali closes his eyes and starts to draw in the light of the moon above the arena, which is nolonger eclipsed by endless night powers. He wounds visably starts to heal. |
| Lord_Gareth02-03-07, 08:56 PM | "No, not this time. Now I finish it. I've had enough of you, moon master. My temper has reached its end." The darkness, already an opressive gloom, unleashes its malice. Both competitors feel its assault on mind, body, and soul, as their bodies are sapped by cold, their souls by corruption, and their minds by beshadowment and befuddlement. Syra wards it off with her will, moving her hands, for the first time in her life, in a complex and involved pattern. "Now you will know true darkness. You've tapped the well of my wrath." A shadow stirs, far above, and Lafali realizes what she is doing. Syra is enshrouding the moon in pure darkness. As the eclipse spreads across the moon, the darkness surges, attacks coming harder and faster. Syra's ward begins to spark as the attacks have an effect, but Syra herself is strengthening as well. Her eyes darken to black, and the air and space near her is an inkblot in reality. |
| Gaelro_Nailo02-03-07, 10:17 PM | Slowly lafali nods his head. "Yes, Lady of Shadow. It is time to end this." Lifting his right hand above his head, lafali lets his dragonic energy leave his body. Taking the form of four dragons, it encircles lafali slowly. As they gradually come nearer and nearer to his hand they shrink, untill the form a tiny orb of golden light above his out stretch fingers. A light breeze can be felt by the combatent as the energy spirals around itself, creating a light wind. Finaly opening his eyes, lafali appears to be very calm, even as the darkness plumeting the arena into an enternal nightmare. "Dragon Twister" Bringing his hand back down, lafali points at syra as he unleashes his own fury. As the orb leaves his hand it expans rabidly till it is larger then the largest of pit fiend. The wind it created is no longer light, as a tornado is form around it. It speeds toward syra at an alarming rate as her own attack comes closer to breaking lafali will. Staggering he drops to his knees, completly exhausted from his own technique. I think this is a good place for the judges to decide the winner. Don't you agrea gareth? |
| Sorcen_Anenooata02-04-07, 10:57 AM | OOC: Alright we decided that Lafali (Gaelro_Nailo) won the match. I'm not sure from the othger judges' points of view but it was another close match here. Now the Thelron vs Sevitarr match can start as well as the Sevileth vs Vicgretor. :OOC |
| Lord_Gareth02-04-07, 11:06 AM | Thine will be done Syra concentrates, bending her now-considerable malice to halting this new attack. The darkness begins to turn and swirl, forming a whirlwind in reverse. Surging forward, it intercepts Lafali's attack, the two powers colliding. For a long time, the two powers struggle. But, inevitably, they both slow, grinding down. Syra's face is openly shocked; this wasn't supposed to happen. She focuses her shadow, determined to end it once and for all. And as the two forces struggle, the power snaps. Both twisters shatter into dark knives, flying out as hellish shrapnel. Syra, unprepared and unable to stop it, screams in pain as the rain of knives tears through her clothing and rips into her skin. Panting and ragged, she sends a look of pure malice at Lafali. "This isn't over, moon master." Sliding into her own shadow, the shadowmancer retreats to the school of magic, to seek Bartlemaeus. |
| Gaelro_Nailo02-04-07, 12:37 PM | Lafali maganges to stand up after several attempts. He walks slowly out of the arena, pausing briefly where endless night was destroyed. As he exits the arena he wishpers softly, "Yes, Lady of Shadow, I don't belive its over just yet." Lafali Lathi, Lord of the Moon, leaves the arena awaiting the next match. |
| Khael02-04-07, 01:17 PM | As the last of the combatants leaves the arena, the clouds close overhead, and the shades, chains and stone drain back into the ground... Until great pillars smash out of the sky, and the ground below fills with dark liquid, shadowy forms just visible below the surface. OOC: The next two fights have their arena all set. Have fun leaping about y'all... |
| Lord_Bahamut02-04-07, 05:43 PM | With a puff of grey smoke, Siventarr pops into the arena. Smiling maniacally, he turns and grins at the judges. "Ready to watch me suck the blood out of some pitiful wretch?" He draws Merikel and flys over to one of the poles sticking out of the shadow-lake. Flames burst up around him as he calls out into the arena. "Come Thelron, don't make me wait." |
| Larz_Fang02-05-07, 02:57 AM | The sage appears in a flash of bright blue light to the other side of the arena. He is wearing purple-green robes and wielding a gnarled staff. His face is covered by the hood of his robes. "Make you wait? I wouldn't even dream of it." The sage waves his right hand above him and from it flies of a cluster of five fireballs to the sky. "Now that the warm-up is out of the way, let's begin this match." |
| Lord_Bahamut02-08-07, 08:54 PM | Siventarr smiles and leaps off from his perch. Flying backwards, he unlimbers his longbow. Magical energies rage across the bowstring, but the black and gold bow itself seems simple enough. Fitting a black arrow to the string, he pulls the arrow back to his cheek and fires. The moment the arrow leaves his string it begins to corkcscrew through the air, leaving a trail of magic smoke behind it. The arrow then multiplies and soon there are ten arrows all aimed straight at Thelron's heart. |
| Larz_Fang02-09-07, 03:34 AM | Thelron manages to dodge the arrow just in the nick of time, but it still manages to make a scratch to his left shoulder. After a small "Ow", the sage raises up, mumbles faintly something, waves his hand in quick pattern and then leaps off and flies backwards about 20 feet before stopping in the mid-air. The sage raises his right hand towards Silventarr. "That was a nasty trick you pulled off, take this!" Then, the hand of Thelron glows blue before a big (about three feet long) icicle launches off from it straight towards his opponent. |
| Lord_Bahamut02-10-07, 01:07 AM | Siventarr snarls as he leaps away from the icy missile, but not fast enough. It cuts a gash on his should, frostbite spreading across the wound. Siventarr smiles again as his fast healing quickly reknits the skin and muscles back together. "Is that all, oh so powerful mage?" Siventarr mocks his opponent as he fits another arrow. The arrow flashes into pure flame as Siventarr draws the bowstring back. Releasing his flame arrow, Siventarr backs away from Thelron with a look of pity on his face. For the arrow has turned into a solid sheet of flame more than ten feet thick and rushing towards Thelron like a tsunami of fire. Siventarr chuckles. "This'll hurt." |
| Larz_Fang02-10-07, 08:42 AM | As the arrow is only ten feet away, Thelron yells a short, but complicated word of power, and the flames stops in the air just six inches away from his face. With another command word and a hand gesture, the flame shifts back to the arrow it was, turns backwards and flies right back to Silventarr. However, after it is about fifty feet away from it's target, the arrow splits into five and once again they change into missiles of intensely burning fire. The old sage laughs and raises his gnarled staff. "Call me an old man with a stick, will you?" |
| Lord_Bahamut02-12-07, 12:09 AM | Siventarr frowns at the wall of fire. "That's what I hate about mages. They can almost always turn my weaker spells back at me. Oh well. I might as well let you know that I'm invulnerable to fire." He puts away his bow and draws out Merikel. The blade, now a deeper gray-silver streaked with black, hisses like boiling water as he pulls it free. Folding his wings behind him, Siventarr shoots forward straight through the wall of fire, which sputters and fails as he passes throug it. Holding his blade in one hand, he rushes up to Thelrond and feints. Lashing out with Merikel, he makes a one-handed chop at the mage's head. At the same time, his left hand streaks out, grasping at Thelrond's throat. |

At the same time, his left hand streaks out, grasping at Thelrond's throat. Thelrond? Nonononono! It's Thelron, not Thelrond! Lose the d! Siventarr manages to give the old sage a chop, but not quite where he wanted, for as Thelron saw that his opponent charged towards him, he quickly took a flight to safety, but Silventarr nonetheless managed to make a big, vicious cut to his left knee. "Ow! My leg! You'll pay for that!" During his flight, the sage points his opponent with his gnarled staff, and for a second it glows green before an enormous orb-shaped blast of green energy erupts from it's tip with incredible velocity right towards Siventarr. |
| Lord_Bahamut02-13-07, 12:17 AM | Okay, Thelron then. Sorry. But it's Siventarr not Silventarr! Now we're even. Siventarr can't believe how fast Thelron was. He should be dead! Siventarr takes the blast of magic right in the face as he turns back to the sage. Thrown backward, he smashes into a pole and sends large cracks running up and down it. Blood runs down his chin as he gets back up, but Thelron can see the wounds he has inflicted on the Solar heal before his eyes as the vampire's fast healing takes effect. "Grrrrr! That was hardly fair, old man. I know, let's play 'The old man dodges my spells and then dies!'" Siventarr draws a hand back as if he is throwing something. As he swings down, a pale translucent copy of Merikel materialzes and speeds toward Thelron. Then Siventarr raises both hands and fires a chain of magic missiles, each pusling with more energy than twenty normal missiles could hold. Streaking unneringly towards Thelron, it looks like the sword and missiles will both strike at the same time. |
| Larz_Fang02-13-07, 03:19 AM | Okay, Thelron then. Sorry. But it's Siventarr not Silventarr! Now we're even. Oops, sorry about that, I don't why, but I just always seem to get it wrong. Must be because Silventarr just sounds better to me. Thelron looks at the sword and the magic missiles in horror, though Siventarr cannot really see his eyes because of the hood the sage is wearing. The threatening objects close with dreadful velocity, and there is not much time for Thelron to react. Siventarr can only look in triumph the visage before him, as the missiles and the sword hit into their target. "AAAARRGHH!!!" In the moment that the impact happens, the old sage cries out for the last time before the explosion takes place and a cloud of smoke covers the location where Thelron used to be only few moments before. As the smoke clears, Siventarr's look shifts into something other than the one seen on the face of a winner. Thelron is still alive. And around him is a strange, purple shield that looks both solid and ethereal. It warps and flickers for a moment and then vanishes. "Woah, now that was little too close for comfort." |
| Lord_Bahamut02-14-07, 12:40 AM | Siventarr snarls with rage. "Why won't you die?! This battle should have ended long ago!!" Launching himself forward, he casts a spell that drains the blood from Thelron's face in fear. For Siventarr has cast an antimagic shield on himself. Merikel's unholy energy sputters away, but the blade itself remains unchanged. Siventarr closes the distance with Thelron in the blink of an eye. "Let's dance, shall we? Hee hee..." Thelron's shield collapses, and Siventarr smiles in triumph as he swings Merikel in an overhead chop. |
| Larz_Fang02-14-07, 07:43 AM | As Siventarr cuts Thelron with his sword, the old sage is first cut in half right in the middle, but few seconds later, Thelron's body's both pieces disappear, and into their place materializes something else... it is... A sock. Or actually a sock dummy that looks like a child's handiwork. Someone has sketched it eyes and mouth, but nothing else. It snickers and grimaces and suddenly it jumps right into Siventarr's mouth. Thelron materializes few dozen feet behind Siventarr and immediately starts to laugh. "Hahahahahaaa! Fooled you, did I? Now, let's do something to that antimagic shield..." The old sage begins to mumble something while moving his staff and hand in an obviously difficult-patterned gesture. After that he digs from the bottom of his robes' pocket a golden nugget, which then begins to float in the air. The nugget bursts into tiny bits which then shift into a ball of golden energy. Without a second's hesitation, Thelron throws the golden orb right towards Siventarr with a simple move of a finger. In less than two seconds, Thelron's opponent is surrounded by the golden energy. The golden light glows for a few seconds and then disappears, as does the antimagic shield. |
| Lord_Bahamut02-15-07, 07:12 PM | Siventarr spits out the sock and throws it back at the sage furiously. Trembling with rage, he explodes in anger. "NO ONE MAKES A FOOL OF ME AND LIVES! DIE, MISERABLE BEAST!! DIE!!" Flames burst up around Siventarr and his body crackles and transforms in a heartbeat. The feathers on his wings fall off like they did when he fought Ukinanni, and a scaly tail snakes its way around his legs. His first pair of arms move down his chest as he grows taller, and a second pair of huge pincer claws erupt from his torso. He throws his head back and roars, and that alone deafens Thelron. Casting a spell, he creates a copy of Merikel in his other hand. Charging forward, he swings the two Merikels and slices down with his two claws in an unbeatable attack. His tail snakes around and whips Thelron across the back and throws him closer to Siventarr at the same time his swords and claws lance downward for the killing blow. |

I believes that there is some violations of the FoD rule in this segment. "that alone deafens Thelron"? Sorry, but Thelron is actually immune to deafening effects. If I write something like that, please mention it. I would see it as an insult otherwise. Thelron doesn't seem like his fighting spirit is broken by Siventarr's new form. As the fallen one closes up against the sage, Thelron first grabs his staff with both of his hands, activating it's power and making it glow with green arcane energies. "Got you mad, huh? Well this ancient magic-user has better things to do than get up close and personal again." The old sage swings his staff to keep Siventarr's assault away from him and speaks another command word. In a microsecond, Thelron changes his form into a bolt of blue light and quickly flies away from Siventarr. When about a hundred and fifty feet away, the bolt changes right back into Thelron. "Time for you to fall before a superior power!" The sage unites his staff and his right hand with a line of yellow energy, and then makes a pointing gesture towards his opponent. In a few seconds, Siventarr can see that there is truly coming death from above. A yellow energy beam of absolutely massive size shoots out from the sky above, and Thelron smiles when he sees it. "Welcome back, my friend. It has been a long time." |
| Larz_Fang02-16-07, 11:39 AM | Sorry, double post. Ignore! Go away! |
| Lord_Bahamut02-17-07, 01:30 AM | Oh, sorry. I was typing furiously becasue I had to go to a music class, so I guess I wasn't really thinking. Siventarr tracks Thelron with his gaze, and bares his fangs. Twirling the copy of Merikel in his left hand, he throws it up into the air. The spinning blade grows larger and larger. It slices through the air and cuts through the beam of light. The beam stutters and dwindles away like water. "Keep your allies out of this, imbecile! I will kill you and drink your blood!! I will parade your lifeless corpse in front of the audience and disembowl you with my claws!" He snaps his pincers for emphasis. "NOW DIE!!! Leaping forward, Siventarr brings Merikel to bear. Small black blobs collect from thin air onto the sword. Whipping Merikel out in a wide arc, he sends the blobs away from him in an animated swarm of miniature spheres of anihilation. The swarm flies through the air as if it was alive, and bears down on Thelron with tremendous speed as they swirl into a tight double-helix pattern. The moment Merikel releases the spheres, he casts another spell, bringing a coloumn of flame down onto Thelron. He casts another spell, and green beams lance out toward the mage. Finally, Siventarr casts one of his mightiest spells. Thelron can hear him whisper, "I wish Thelron could not cast spells." Sparkling yellow energy wraps around Thelron and tries to steal his ability to use magic. If that wasn't apparent enough, Siventarr wants Thelron to die. Now. |
| Larz_Fang02-17-07, 11:17 AM | The arcane energies spark and rage around Thelron when Siventarr uses his magics to bring the old sage down. At first, it seems as if no spell would take him down, but then when Siventarr wishes for Thelron to lose his powers, the sage falls from the air fifteen feet away from the river of lava under him. Once again the energies go off wildly, and a massive explosion finally collapses the ancient magic-user, sending him to the river of molten lava. The referee begins to count: "one... two... three... four... five... six... seven... eight... nine... te-" At the very last moment, when Thelron seemed to be done and cooked, a familiar yellow light appears from the lava. Then, a massive giant (about 40 feet tall) of pure yellow energy leaps from the river of flame carrying the body of Thelron in it's hands. "So, destiny has yet brought us together, my old friend. It is good to see you again, Thelron." "As.. it is to... see you, my... friend Zanthar..." "Don't move, I'll see what I can do for your current condition." A blue light covers Thelron's body for a while, but then the sage stands up as good as new. "Thanks, but I'll need some time to recover that which this... rat bastard has stolen from me can you give me that?" "No problem, my friend. Let me take care of this abomination." Thelron jumps from the hands of his humongous new ally and flies to a platform. "First I will need some protection. Ah, this will do nicely." The sage digs up a strange gemstone that changes it's colors and throws it to the surface of the platform, and suddenly an equally strange shield covers his body. Then, the sage takes something that looks like ordinary dirt and some white powder to mix it together. As for the huge, yellow giant of energy, it charges right towards Siventarr and swings it's massive fists towards him. It is obvious though that it's punches carry more power than a normal creature of it's size. |
| Lord_Bahamut02-17-07, 08:44 PM | Siventarr flies out of the giant's reach with ease. His face his so contorted with rage that it seems that he might explode from having so much anger in him. Suddenly, his face clears of anger and becomes expressionless. Then a smile creases his face. "You truly are full of suprises, old man. Zanthar, is it? Let me introduce you to Gthzrahelion. I think you two will make good playmates while Thelron and I finish." A black splotch swirls into existence, and Thelron can detect magical energies piercing the layers of the planes. He can tell that Siventarr is cutting down into the deeper layers of the Abyss. He knows when Siventarr stops at the 666th layer. And he knows when a portal tears through the multiverse and opens to bring something in from the gateway. Tentacles and claws reach through the portal as it opens wide enough to let through a nightmarish creature. Eighty feet long from nose to tail, the creature looks like a twisted mockery of a dragon. A six-foot long head houses four eyes and a mouth filled with fangs as big as Merikel. Green goop drips from two tongues and an insane light shines in the things eyes. Small tentacle-like growths cover its body, waving incessantly like cilia. Eight man-thick tentachles writhe from the dragon's back where the wings shoud be, each tipped with a cruel barb that oozes the same green goo that drips from the monster's mouth. The lack of wings seems to have no effect on the creature's ability to fly. The tail that snakes sinously out behind it bristles with more barbs at the end. A small green-glowing rune shines faintly on the side of its neck. The light in the arena darkens when it steps out from the portal. It flexes its tentacles and roars, a soul-searing howl of pure evil. It sits back on its haunches and looks at Siventarr obediently. "Kill the giant. Leave his head, but you can eat the rest." The giant dragon nods to Siventarr and turns back to Zanthar. It's voice is a low hiss. "Your flesh looks succulent, giant. I will enjoy eating you as Master commands." It springs down at Zanthar, using its momentum to crash into the giant. Gthzrahelion pins Zanthar to one of the poles and rakes with all four legs as his jaws seek the giant's throat and his tentacles lash down and score the giant again and again. Siventarr smiles at Gthzrahelion. "Beautiful, is he not? I belive it is just you and I now, old man." He raises a hand, and a gray beam leaps from two fingers to strike the bubble protecting Thelron. It crackles and reacts with Thelron's magic. Siventarr frowns when the beam fails to break the shield. "A strong shield, old man. But even the strongest things can be broken." Thelron can again sense the magic in Siventarr gathering. Siventarr raises Merikel, pointing it's tip at the sage. Siventarr channels his anger through the foul sword and a beam of raging blue fire and lightning and ice erupts forth and swirls around Thelron's shield like a hawk. The blue elements only wait for Thelron to lower his shield before striking. They seem to shine like a mirror in light. |
| Larz_Fang02-19-07, 10:31 AM | "I am not a mere giant! I am a living spell! A living Megablast, to be exact. I shall destroy you and you master as well! EAT THIS FIST, YOU MONSTER, GRAAAAAH!!!!" And with that surge of energy, Zanthar manages to free his right hand to punch the horrendous dragon, though it doesn't evidently create as much damage to the dragon as it was propably ment to, and Gthzrahelion manages to again overpower it's respectably massive opponent. And as for the shield, Siventarr does not understand it's chaotic essence until it's too late. The shield's energies gather right into the spot that Siventarr is trying to pierce trough, and a powerful explosion disrupts Siventarr's attempt, sending the fallen one flying backwards from Thelron. The sage, still covered by his chaotic shield manages to finish his ritual of power restoration. Thelron raises up and with a simple hand gesture he disbands the shield. It then condensates back to the crystal it was, but a noticeably smalller one. "Ha! I see you fail yourself once again, Siventarr! The shield of wild magic has never failed me, but those crystals are not cheap! I see that you have aquired a henchman, or should I say... henchwyrm?" The sage points his right hand's index finger towards the abomination of a dragon and mumbles some words of power. From his finger erupts several rays of lightning that then rush towards Gthzrahelion with a very chaotic manner. As the rays of lightning hit, they immediately surge trough the dragon's body, causing horrible wounds, rippings of scale, bursts of blood and enormous pain. Such is the power of the spell and the caster that the current of the lightning seems limitless, though actually it only lasts for about twenty seconds. As the dragon's grip of Zanthar loosens, the living megablast tears himself free and points his the palm of his huge right hand towards Gthzrahelion's head. "TAKE THIS, YOU PATHETIC FREAK OF A DRAGON!!! DIE!!!" The giant creature yells out, and an absolutely HUMONGOUS beam of similar yellow energy that Zanthar himself is made out of shoots right out of the living megablast's hand towards the monstrous dragon. Thelron turns back towards Siventarr. "Now, it is time for you to feel my power. I warn you one last time. Do... not... underestimate the strength of my magic. It would be so much easier for you if you would just give up." |
| Lord_Bahamut02-20-07, 01:44 PM | Gthzrahelion roars in pain and rage as he twists to avoid Zanthar's attack. The beam misses, but still grazes Gthzrahelion. Flying up above his opponent, he opens his jaws wide and sends a curling wave of green-black fire to engulf his foe. His scales and flesh are already knitting back together as his vampiric healing takes effect. Gthzrahelion turns his gaze to Thelron as his abyssal fire bears down on Zanthar. "How dare you!! I will rend you in two!!" Flying at Thelron, a silvery shield forms around Gthzrahelion as he charges at the sage. Twin beams of light shoot out from Gthzrahelion's eyes and rip into the mage. Meanwhile, Siventarr pulls himself out of a tumbling fall and slingshots himself up high above the battlefield using his momentum from the fall. His face is calm again, though a smile cracks his hideous feature almost in two. "Me? Fail? No, Thelron, your arrogance has got the better of you. My attack was only an illusion meant to distract you and expend you magic. I do not underestimate magic, fool. I have magical essence inside of me. Maybe if you had payed more attention in school, you would have learned that. Such a naughty boy. Now I will show you a real spell of destruction." Raising his clawed hands above his head, he faces his palms toward each other. An arc of fire and electricity burst to life and bounce from palm to palm, gathering energy. When the space between his hands is a solid blaze of fire and shock, he cups his hands and begins to form a ball of roiling fire and lightning. The ball grows to about the size of his head, and is barely contained in Siventarr's grasp. His arm tremble with the effort of holding it in place. "Ready for the end, Thelron? You spoke about having me give up. Give up? That would make it too easy. Can you even fathom my power? I am a GOD!!" Siventarr throws back his head and laughs as he releases the ball of energy into the sky. It rises to about a thousand feet, then bursts. Magic flame and lightning flares across the entire arena, blocking out the sky. The flame and lightning seem to form a stormcloud of fire. Then, like rain, pillars of lightning and fire rain down into the arena. Where the firey pillars strike the stone poles sticking out of the shadow lake, balls of fire eighty feet across burn for several seconds before leaving a pole eighty feet shorter. Lightning falls like rain, blasting into everything and destroying whatever it touches. Gthsrahelion's shield acts like a mirror, reflecting away the lightning and fire. Through it all, Siventarr floats with his hands raised to the sky, his gruesome face illuminated by the light of the fire an lightning. His laughter ehcoes through the entire stadium. |
| Larz_Fang02-21-07, 07:04 AM | Everybody was sure that the impossible had happened. That had to be the end of the great archsage Thelron. Siventarr's absolutely enormous masses of flaming destruction and surging bolts of electric power combined to the draconic abomination's beams of light had left the whole arena battered. Great rips in the earth had swalloved the lava, and basically left nothing standing. Even the great living megablast Zanthar had been wiped out. As Siventarr walked among the leftover bits of the destroyed arena and laughed, the devil referee once again began to count, though to everyone it seemed unneccerary. "One... two... three... four... five... six... seven... eight...niAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!" As everyone turned to see when the referee's count was suddenly cut away, and saw one of the most gruesome sights ever. The fiend's whole body began to bleed and swell, and bursts of bloody gore erupted all over his body. "GRAAAAGHHHGHGH!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAARGHHAAAAA!!!!!!!..." The fiend's horrible yell is finally cut when it's swollen body suddenly explodes. Who else emerges of the dead devil's body but Thelron. The sage's form is completely different, though. His white beard and his staff are both gone, and his hood has become even more covering. Inside the hood burn two bright, green eyes like some firepits from another world. The sage sets his eyes towards both of his opponents. "NO... MORE... PLAYING AROUND!!! IT'S PAIN-TIME!!! LET'S SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT!!!!!!" Lifting his hands to the sky, the new "NeoThelron" calls up for power that no doubt he would use normally. The sage swiftly moves both of his hands in a difficult pattern, and in the end, everybody can see what Thelron meant. From the sky rain down all sorts of huge magical objects. Some of them look just like magic missiles, fireballs and bolts of lightning of great size, but among them are some of the strangest magical objects ever. Some are like the beams of yellow energy that Zanthar was made of, some are strange-looking orange-, teal- and purple-colored fireballs (from which the purple ones are the biggest and orange-colored smallest) with green-coated black central and some are like manycolored crescent moons. "YOU MAY BE A GOD, BUT I MAKE GODS!!! AND NOW I UNMAKE YOU" Thelron draws an egg-shaped spiral gesture next to him, and when he finishes it, a dimensional portal appears at it's place. The sage walks through the portal, which then begins to close after the magic-user has disappeared. As the missiles created by the spell struct the arena, the explosions combine into one absolutely colossal giant explosion, that leaves behind a mushroom-shaped cloud about six miles high and about 10 miles wide bottomless pit. The spectators however managed to survive, since when the explosion ensued, the arena's watching areas spread far away from it. |
| Lord_Bahamut02-21-07, 03:18 PM | The smoke boils through the sky, the mushroom cloud throwing itself up to the heavens. Many minutes pass. The smoke gradually dissipates to reveal the arena in shambles. But the magic of the arena takes effect, restoring it to it's usual sandy open area. Merikel lies unscathed and gleaming in the center, along with Siventarr's bow and his quiver. A small cloud of gas hovers in the middle of the arena. Two slitted red eyes glare out from it where Thelron opened the planar gate and left the arena. A smaller cloud of gas hovers at the red-eyed gas's side. Siventarr's voice is a hiss. "You failed, Thelron. Unmake me? Pah. First you must destroy me. You have destroyed my body, but how long will it take for you to "unmake" me? I cannot be unmade, fool. Heaven will burn and Hell will freeze before that happens." He turns to Sorcen's balcony. "It seems Thelron has fled. Am I the winner, then"? As he speaks, an amulets appears in a flash of light in front os Siventarr. The cloud of gas chuckles and zips into the small red diamond set in the ruby. A moment later, Siventarr comes out, renewed and fresh. Gthzrahelion floats into the amulet, and comes out remade. His tentacles writhe as his unblkinking gaze focuses on Sorcen. Siventarr picks up Merikel and his bow and quiver and straps them back on. I was tempted to have Siventarr say, "I just got pwned!" |
| Larz_Fang02-22-07, 04:49 AM | I never was gone for a second. Just because you can't see me doesn't mean that I am not here. Well, actually I am here while I am not. I can see you, puny Siventarr and your abomination of a servant. I just didn't want my last physical body be destroyed. So be it. When Siventarr looks behind him, he can see a massive, ethereal version of "NeoThelron" in the pit that he thought was gone few moments ago. NeoThelron's gigantic hand reaches out and grabs the dragon Gthzrahelion and brings it back before his face. "You sorry excuse of a dragon, I shall send you back to the darkness." After making his statement clear, NeoThelron swallows Gthzrahelion with one solid gulp, and the dragon disappears with it's essence sent back to the 666th layer of the Abyss. With Gthzrahelion gone, NeoThelron's gigantic ethereal form disappears. Instead, the archsage appears on his previous form's place with the gnarled quarterstaff in his left hand. "As for you, Siventarr, you get what you wish for." In that moment, NeoThelron grabs and swings his staff with both of his hands, and immediately the Nine Hells of Baator become a well... very, very... VERY cold place, and the high heavens of Celestia suddenly combust in horrendous flames. The archsage snaps his fingers, causing his quarterstaff to be replaced by a dark purple crystal the size of his fist, and finally he makes another complicated hand gesture. The crystal begins to glow mysteriously, and suddenly Siventarr's soul is being sucked right into the very essence of the crystal. version of |
| Lord_Bahamut02-22-07, 09:24 PM | Gthzrahelion howls as he is banished back to his home plane. Raking NeoThelron's face as he is sent away, he curses the sage in as many tongues as he knows before his voice fades as the planar gate closes. Siventarr's face is frozen in shock. He can feel himself being sucked into the crystal bit by bit as his essence scrambles away from the magic like a child climbing a crumbling cliff. His voice is hoarse as he speaks. "NO! What you have done can only be done by me! ME! I am the chosen one, Merikel said so! I would burn Heaven and freeze Hell, and then I would rule all! What you have done is only an illusion! I refuse to believe in your magic, old man! NO!" The fires die down in Heaven, and Hell's ever-present flames flare up once more. Siventarr's magic fights NeoThelron's, and rays of prismatic energy flash across between them. But Siventarr finally succumbs to the crystal's pull. His corporeal form collapses to dust as his weapons clatter to the ground again. The crystal glows brighter, then a dark smear cuts across a facet of the crystal. Then another facet is darkened, then another. Soon the entire crystal is black, and purple energy crackles as the crystal holds Siventarr's chaotic soul inside it. The energy subsides, and the crystal returns to it's normal color. As Thelron smiles in victory, the crystal erupts with an earsplitting CRACK and arcane energy surrounds Thelron in a halo of purple and black light. A pale grey-white Siventarr materializes in front of the sage. "Fooled you, did I? Taste or own magic, you bastard!" Suddenly the tables are turned on Thelron, and the crystal channels his own life energy into Siventarr. The demon angel glows brighter and brighter as he sucks away Thelron's life. Siventarr picks up Merikel, glowing steadily brighter, and lunges forward at Thelron. "This ends NOW, fool. One of us will die here. Since I am already dead, it must be you! HAHAHAHA!! He fades away and reappears behind Thelron, and stabs forward. He is so silent the silence in the arena seems loud. Thelron, still surrounded by the halo of life-draining, doesn't even know where Siventarr is. Merikel pierces through his back and erupts out of his chest. Black flames lick up around Thelron's body where Merikel touches him. Siventarr leans forward and wrenches Merikel, slicing Thelron's internal organs. Siventarr whispers into Thelron's ear. "Goodbye, Thelron." Merikel flashes again, and Thelron's head lies ten feet away in a puddle of blood that quickly burns in black flame. Soon his whole body burns away, leaving nothing but fine dust. With a wave of his hand, Siventarr collects the dust of his foe and puts it into a small silver box. The box glows blue, and when Siventarr opens the box again, even the dust is gone. Was that waaaay too harsh? I can edit it if you want, but just remember that Siventarr isn't just an ordinary vampire. I understand that Thelron is uber-powerful, but so is Siventarr. It's almost impossible to kill him. |
| Larz_Fang02-27-07, 12:11 PM | Thelron's emerald and purple energies spring out of the box, and quickly the archsage's essence flees to the sky. The sky turns purple and clouds become green as Thelron's energies gather back together. There is a violent, loud explosion that shatters the very basins of the great multiverse. As the dust left by the explosion clears, you become aware of that Thelron has managed to materialize in the central of the massive explosion. The sage's stare is colder than a billion ice storms. The archsage lifts his right hand palm, and in a sudden gathering of mystical powers of arcane magic surrounds his hand and the tip of his staff with green-colored energy. "History shall be rewritten as I smite you, Fallen One. Feel my power and be forgotten!" Thelron points his hand towards Siventarr and yells out a word of power long forgotten by all the mages in existance. The power of the word causes great, green pillars of energy to spring out from the ground all around Siventarr, who then notices that he is standing on nothing. Under the vampiric solar is an ocean of green energy ready to implode. "Victory is mine!" And with a quick raise of his hand, Thelron makes the green energies to unite, creating one, colossal energy pillar that reaches out beyond the sky, taking Siventarr's life and destroying the vampire's soul once and for all. Thelron keeps his spell on for half a minute, just to make sure, and finally when he is ready, another bottomless pit is all that is left. THe arena's power begins to repair the damage, and soon the tournament grounds is good as new. All that is left of Siventarr seems to be Merikel, and the sword seems to have gotten stuck into the surface of the arena's floor. Nothing is too harsh for Thelron. Über move for über move, though hopefully that wasn't too much. |
| Lord_Bahamut02-27-07, 09:40 PM | Can we judge this match before Siventarr and Thelron rip apart the universe? Merikel sits in the sand of the arena, plunged halfway into the ground. The silver blade slowly begins to darken, and wisps of black fog begins to collect around it. First they are fleeting streaks of black, but they quickly obscure the sword. A sibilant hiss echoes out from the fog. "Thelron..." The fog swirls faster around Merikel, forming a whirlpool of black clouds. "Thelron..." The sand around the fog begins to turn black, like colored water soaking into a cloth. It stretches out across the arena like a spiderweb. "Thelron..." The fog reaches a speed so fast that it begins to unravel itself, and without warning explodes outward in a cascade of black clouds. They twist around each other, forming a humanoid shape. "Thelron!!" The humanoid shape coalesces into Siventarr, not in a physical form but in the opaque black fog. The fog is constantly swirling within him, but his general shape remains the same. Brilliant red eyes pierce through Thelron as Siventarr fully forms. His foggy wings unfurl, and his fists clench as he gives a scream of primal rage. Merikel wrenches itself out of the ground and flies to his open hand as the scream ends, it's blade pure silver without a mar of black along it. The sapphire on the pommel shines a bright blue, as bright as a torch. Siventarr's voice is a roar of sound. "I CANNOT BE DEAFEATED!! FEEL THE POWER OF MERIKEL AND MY WRATH!!!" Blue flames leap up around Merikel, shining like the sapphire. The very air itself explodes into flames, the atmosphere transformed from breathable air to a raging inferno of magical energy. Shards of twenty-foot force energy launch themselves out from Merikel, the blade of which is now glowing a deep blue. Multicolored lightning rips through the flames as waterfalls of acid race along with no regard to gravity. Living spells pop up and are destroyed almost every second while blades of spinning blue steel hum wickedly as they slice through the air in groups like flocks of deadly birds. Stones the size of houses spontaneously combust as they hurtle around the arean with minds of their own. Beams of white light that can cut through the air itself leave ribbons of white slashes across the flaming sky. Through it all, Siventarr walks on air with the glowing Merikel in his hand, a snarl fixed on his terrible face. As he gets closer to Thelron, the sage can hear him whispering. "...blood, hot blood, sweet blood, screams, ah the screams, so beautiful, so wonderful, I drink it in with glory... Siventarr's voice fades away as he reaches Thelron. He raises Merikel above his head, but pauses in his attack. "No one lives forever, old man. Now one of us will die, and that will be you!" Merikel flashes down in a blaze of sapphire fire, and unleashes an otherwordly wail as it tries to cut Thelron in half. |
| Larz_Fang02-28-07, 12:54 PM | Can we judge this match before Siventarr and Thelron rip apart the universe? I agree, both (especially Thelron ;)) are capable to do that. As Merikel sweeps down to cut Thelron, it suddenly stops about two inches away from the archsage's head. In fact, at that moment everything stops, all living creatures in the plane suddenly freeze, but everyone who are at the range of being able to hear Thelron hear what he says. "Resistance is futile, you ignorant fool. As you can see, I can stop you, but there is nothing you can do anymore to stop me, Siventarr. I have burned all of your bridges for you, and there is nowhere you can escape. The only road left is utter and absolute destruction, and there is NOTHING you can do to avoid it. Your fate... is sealed." Thelron lifts his the palm of his right hand towards the frozen Siventarr and yells the following words of power: "Ghanozar yarzan hcaxo verto, khomaren feznan ornom magrum... Ghanozar yarzan hcaxo verto! Khomaren feznan ornom MAGRUM!!!" While he does this, the archsage's magic creates a line of bright blue light between his right hand and Merikel. When he yells out the last word, the line between vanishes and Merikel glows so bright blue, that a normal human could be blinded by it. That is when everybody returns back to their normal maneuverability, and Siventarr drops to the ground without being in control of his sword. Merikel glows and glows, and suddenly Siventarr can start to feel his entire essence of life and his soul energies to get being sucked into the sword. Sparks of his essence are released from the vampiric solar's body as Merikel glows even brighter than before. Thelron lands to the ground and watches with no facial expression as his opponent is being absorbed into his own sword. "Game... over." |
| Lord_Bahamut03-01-07, 12:39 AM | Siventarr is sucked into Merikel, unable to stop the magic from draining him away. But his voice echoes through the stadium once more as his foggy form is absorbed. "Heh heh heh... Thelron, you are a fool. I am Merikel and it is me. We are one. To try to turn Merikel against me only seals your own doom. Game over? Not yet." The fallen solar gets sucked completely up into Merikel, the blade shining a blindingly bright blue. It floats up off the ground and pulses a wave of blue energy. The blade calls out to the spells it has created, and everything unfreezes as Merikel swings in for the kill. Lightning, flaming rocks, boiling acid, spinning blades and shards of force all zero in on Thelron as Merikel's blade suddenly blackens. A thin beam of nothingness shoots down from the sky and touches the tip of the sword. Siventarr's laughter crescendoes as the beam slices downward and cuts through Thelron and the arena wall behind him. The beam leaves a black smear across the air as it carves through Thelron. "Herald your own doom, old man! I destroy this world!" The spells all slam into Siventarr and Thelron in a tremndous explosion as the the black smear begins to eat away at the very fabric of time and space in Sorcen's Baator. Through the haze of magical energy, the audience can see Siventarr reform from Merikel and throw himself and Thelron into the hole in reality. |
| Larz_Fang03-01-07, 12:16 PM | "No, you shall not escape judgement again, Siventarr! I won't let you! NEVER!!! RAAAAGGH!!!" Thelron yells and calls forth all possible might he has left, and an aura of green, purple and blue energies surround Thelron. The archsage moves his staff and his right hand towards Siventarr, creating spiral-like pattern that creates a massive but yet invisible force that pushes the fallen solar and his sword towards the vortex that Siventarr himself created. No matter how hard the vampire tries, he cannot stop himself in time, and the power of the vortex quickly swallows both him and his sword. "To imprisonment with you, fool. I sentence you to be sealed forever!" And as the final touch, Thelron throws his gnarled staff of the archmagi towards the vortex. The power of the staf creates an enormously powerful barrier around the small pocket plane that the vortex eventually leads to, thereby preventing Siventarr's escape. The staff shatters with it's power drained, and the vortex closes, leaving Thelron alone in the arena. "It... is done..." The archsage falls to the ground with all of his power used. Too harsh? I mean, it's not like characters cannot die or anything, but I personally think that this would be a fine way for Siventarr to go. Of course, I'll edit this if you disagree... |
| Lord_Bahamut03-02-07, 12:21 AM | Oh no, that's fine. I have an idea I want to propose to Sorcen about this... Anyway, Siventarr will get out eventually. Nice counter though. |
| Sorcen_Anenooata03-02-07, 09:38 AM | OOC: Do you mind fighting with the prison as the terrain Ank? :OOC Sorcen opens a viewing window into the prison that Siventarr is trapped within. He waves his hand and makes the fallen solar become corporeal again, "How do you like the idea of using this prison as your terrain Siventarr and Sevifor? I can create another for you if you like but I have the utmost confidence that either or both of you will be able to break the prison and escape without my help." |
| ank03-02-07, 01:00 PM | Sounds intriguiging, im into it. Sevifor is the first to respond to the query "Ha! No cage, whether crafted by mortal or immortal hands can hold me. I do hope my worthy opponent will agree with me, for this is surely an ideal environment for his downfall." |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-03-07, 02:33 PM | As a gateway opens near the judges, Lafali and a newcommer walks though. "Cysel, I dont know how long this will take. Go have a look around but don't get into any trouble." "Ok I'll try to stay out of trouble.", as cysel leaves the arena to have a look around. With a bow to the judges lafali speaks, "Lord Sorcen, its an honnor to fight in your arena once again. I am ready once Vicgretor gets here" |
| Revlis_Nogard03-03-07, 02:47 PM | From the shadows, a black metal gauntlet finds its way onto Lafali's shoulder. The shades dissapate, and the body of Vicgretor Stormhand stands behind his opponent, the paladin standing in his full armor. "I haven't gone anywhere since my last opponent didn't show up. I've been waiting for a fight. Are you ready?" |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-03-07, 02:54 PM | Lafali steps aside and bows before the paladin. "Yes, whenever you are." |
| Revlis_Nogard03-03-07, 02:59 PM | "Excellent. Then let's begin." Vicgretor pulls from his back a large sword, its blade black with serrations towards the bottom. He looks it the fuller for a moment, and then begins to charge his opponent. As he nears Lafali, the blade begins to crackle with white divine energy, surging from Vigretor to is blade. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-03-07, 03:11 PM | "You are eager for a match." Lafali points at Vicgretor as an arc of golden energy is released from his fingertips, "Dragon Arc" |
| Revlis_Nogard03-03-07, 11:34 PM | Upon seeing the arc of energy fly from Lafali's fingers, he flings his blade, still crackling with energy, and dives down and does a foward roll to dodge the beam. As the blade flies towards its target, Vicgretor shows an unusual amount of grace and bounds back up on his, prepared to face whatever comes next. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-04-07, 02:39 AM | "You move well for someone in all that armor. This sould be interesting." Lafali flicks his bandaged hand in a upword movement as a gust of wind stops the sword from striking him. Running forward he grabs it before it hits the ground. "Truely a great blade this is, well balanced." With a twist of his hands he flings it back at the paladin. Though the blade stops before it could hit, hovering near Vicgretor. "Would be a same if that blade got dusty before it draws blood, wouldn't you agrea?" |
| Revlis_Nogard03-04-07, 07:30 AM | "You have an excellent sense of honor. That is something I can...respect. However, you'll find that the blade does not make the man." Vicgretor rears back his right fist and slams it into his own sword. The blade shatters and the multiple pieces fall to the floor. He picks up the shards that have fallen, and then rips them at his opponent. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-04-07, 03:01 PM | The prison Siventarr is held in pulses out a wave of black energy, and when the pulse clears the arena is changed. Monolithic rocks tower out of the ground, which itself is cracked and burned. Plants grow feebly here and there as a dark grey fog fills the arena. Siventarr can be heard faintly in the distance screaming Thleron's name. THELRON!!!! So with Sorcen's approval Siventarr trying to break free from the extradimensional prison now determines the terrain. Sorcen, if this is not what you wanted, I'll edit the post. |
| ank03-04-07, 03:06 PM | As Siventarr rages against the prison that holds him at bay, Sevifor takes to mocking him. "Come on out, foolish vampire, meet your doom. Or is the bloodsucker too scared to come crawling out of his safe widdle prison? |
| Lord_Bahamut03-04-07, 11:17 PM | A scream of rage echoes through the arena, and Sevifor suddenly finds himself being drawn inexplicably toward Siventarr's prison. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-05-07, 12:42 AM | As the arena floor rushes upword to protect lafali from the shards Vicgretor hears him faintly speaking arcane words. Mist slowly starts to form within the pit of the arena. Stranges howls can be heard comming from beyond it. "I would like you to meet some of my pets." Out of the mist several large silver wolfs emerge. Each one easly the size of a deinonychus. The one nearest vicgretor rushes at him, trying to trip the paladin. As the rest moves closer to him. |
| Larz_Fang03-05-07, 02:48 AM | Thelron's body lies perfectly still in the ground as the other fights start, but then in a sudden pulse of mystical arcane energies the archsage's body dissipates from the tournamental arena. Thelron's soul rises from where it's body used to be and then it too vanishes from the arena. The archsage's green and purple-colored essence moves back to his tower in Septimus' School of Magic. |
| ank03-05-07, 07:15 AM | At first, Sevifor fights back against this pulling force, his heel planted firmly into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust as he goes. But after a moment, he simply stops fighting. "Aww, did the harmless undead get up on the wrong side of the coffin this evening? Alright then, I'll come to you." His body melts into the arena floor into an inobtrusive shadow. The shadow glides swifty and soundlessly where the attractive force guides him. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-05-07, 12:25 PM | Sevifor sees a flash of many colors and shapes as he is drawn through the dimensions and into Siventarr's prison. There is only blackness. Siventarr floats in the nothingness, Merikel drawn. His body is restored to its corporeal form, somehow. "So you are my new opponent, hmm? Let's see what you're made of." He swings Merikel out in a wide arc and sends a wave of razor sharp blue energy sweeping out at Sevifor. |
| ank03-05-07, 04:30 PM | Sevifor wastes no time and promptly splits at the waist. The two halves of his body spring into action, each forming its own miniature version of himself. The upper portion flips over the blue edge while the lower portion simply slides underneath it, and the deadly edge passes between them. The two meet on a middle ground and reform into one body. "If I knew what I was made of, I'd tell you. I suppose you could say that I am everything, yet nothing, simultaeously. Here, let me give you an example." Sevifor reaches out with his left arm and grasps at something in the air, much like a mime. A moment later, an endlessly black shard of entropy appears just outside his handgrasp. The stone floats over to just in front of him, and he spreads his arms wide. "Vampire, meet nothingness, nothing..." He brings his hands together and the shard flies across the arena. "meet vampire." |
| Revlis_Nogard03-05-07, 04:56 PM | Vicgretor watches as the hound attempts to bring him to the ground. As the beast closes, Vicgretor deftly jumps forward to avoid the wolf. He lands directly on the beast's back, facing its tail. He reaches down and grabs the wolf's hind legs, and begins to bring them back up towards himself. The sound of cracking can be heard as the wolf cries out in tremendous pain. "This is technically called a 'lion tamer,' but I think that it's just as effective on these guys." Upon seeing the other wolves close in around him, Vicgretor rolls off of tortured wolf and quickly stands. He still, however, holding the wolf, and charges the closet foe with it in hand. Once he reaches close enough, he begins to bludgeon one wolf with the other, both of them howling. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-05-07, 05:10 PM | "I wouldn't do that if I was you. They can get......never mind" One by one the wolfs enters the mist, slowly becomeing one with it. Till the only one left is the one Vicgretor is holding. Suddenly the mist itself reaches out to strike at vicgretor, clawing at him with semiformed claws. Lafali emerges from behind the wall wielding a naginata. "Would you like a sword to help defend yourself? I don't enjoy fighting an unarmed opponent." |
| Lord_Bahamut03-06-07, 10:18 PM | Siventarr snorts in disdain and flicks his hand at the shard of entropy. It dissolves back into the blackness of the prison. "Time runs different in here, fool. I have mastered this prison. I can create as easily as you. And in this place I rule." He holds one palm open and facing up. A small green orb of light pops into existence and floats above his hand. In the center of the green sphere is a slit-like black pupil that stares unblinkingly at Sevifor. Then with a sound like popping bubbles, hundreds of baseball-sized eyes appear around him. They all glow with different colors and then discharge beams of colored light all aimed at Sevifor. A storm of multicolored beams hurtle towards Sevifor as Siventarr chuckles. Suddenly the blackness of the prison is replaced by light. Orange explosions and green starbursts assault Sevifor's vision as every other color in the spectrum flashes by his eyes. The beams of prismatic energy are lost in the brilliant flashes of light, and Siventarr is gone. |
| ank03-07-07, 06:38 AM | Come out, come out. You can't hide from me forever. Sevifor does a full 360 rotation, staring off into the bleak eternity of the prison. "How much longer can you hide in this void? Sooner or later, It's inevitable that I will find you, you'd best just give up already. Still, I suppose I'd better speed things up a bit." Sevifor's eyes glow a deep blue in contrast to the rest of the arena, and soon dark, howling winds begin to whip through the arena. It toys with the minds of both combatants, bringing them to the clifface of insanity to stare at the long fall down from which there is no return. "The winds of Pandemonium have a very distinct impact on the mind, not even the might of the gods can withstand it, how long can you still hide while mantaining your sanity? I, however, am forced to live with far worse than this every day." Suddenly, his face lifts into a worried expression and his voice takes a compassionate edge. Wait, I can't do that to him, if he can't stop it then.. His head jerks from side to side violently, as if he were trying to be rid of something, before replying in typical harshness. He'll be deserving his fate! Come out you worthless bag o' bones and rotting flesh, I want I fight! |
| Lord_Bahamut03-07-07, 02:26 PM | Siventarr's mocking laughter fills the prison. The beams of prismatic energy lash through Sevifor, who has done nothing to stop them. Siventarr reappears next behind Sevifor and strikes out with Merikel. Just to let you know, Siventarr left his sanity behind a long time ago. |
| ank03-07-07, 06:49 PM | I was going more for the "mind blown into tiny pieces of unfocused matter" kind of insanity, but that works. I had to read your post through three times to try and figure out what the prismatic effects wre for, but i eventually got the idea that they were the "explosions" that blinded Sevifor and thus allow Sivertarr to turn invisable. Apparently, I was wrong :weep: The beams of prismatic energy take their various effects in turn, sending great spasms down the body of Siventarrs opponent just before his body turns to a great granite statue. Merikel stikes swift and true, knocking off a stoney arm, but doing no real damage. As Merikel is brought around for a second strike, great cracks appear in the statue with a terrible sound of shattering stone. Prismatic colors can be seen drifting through the lines like an echo of the northern lights, apparently trapped inside. As the giant sword strikes home in the breast of the stone figure, it bursts into a beautiful shower of jagged rock and dancing lights of the aurora to to reveal Sevifor underneath as the sharp projectiles close the last inch or two to Siventarr. |
| Revlis_Nogard03-07-07, 11:04 PM | Vicgretor doesn't move or flinch, knowing that his armor will protect him against the fog-beast's claws. He, of course, is wrong as the claws pass through his armor as if nothing is there, and rip into his side. He grimaces in pain, and releases the other wolf to make a getaway from the mist. His hand begins to glow as he places it on his side, as the wounds begin to heal themselves. "I don't need a blade, in case you didn't understand that. A blade doesn't protect someone as well as you'd think. You need to rely more on the power that the gods instill you with." With that, Vicgretor begins to charge Lafali. Upon closing, he attempts to make a drop kick onto Lafali's chest. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-08-07, 12:36 AM | "I have never had much faith in gods. My abilitys come from my ancesters. Anyways I am well aware of the fact that a blade dosn't make the person. I just don't like using any sort of advantages." Trying to dodge Vicgretor the last moment, lafali didn't realize how fast the paladin was. As the kick lands on there masters shoulder, the mist wolf reaches out with many heads, biting viciously at victretor. While lafali try to wrap his arms around his opponent, his naginata releasing sparks a few feet away. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-08-07, 10:04 PM | No, the beams were hidden by all the colored explosions so Sevifor wouldn't know where they were or when they were going to hit him. Each is ray is a mini prismatic ray, just to let you know. I was a little confused with your post too, I thought I made obvious the impending doom of the beams. I'll be more clear next time, heh. The shards of stone fly like shotgun pellets and rip through Siventarr's chest and lower body. Black blood sprays outward and covers Sevifor with a disgusting black slime. Siventarr's sure grin is wiped off his face and replaced by rage as he is hurled backwards from Sevifor. Howling in rage and pain, he snarls at Sevifor even as his wounds begin to close from his vampiric healing. "You bastard!! I'll eat your heart for that! Let's see how you like the fires of hell!!" He holds Merikel up above him, flat of the mirror-like blade towards Sevifor. The blade blazes to life with raw flame, and Siventarr channels the flame into a sweeping line of flame. The flame is made almost of pure law and fire, and slashes across Sevifor's chaotic essence like a hot knife through butter. |
| Revlis_Nogard03-10-07, 01:53 PM | Vicgretor is unconcerned about the wolves right now: his opponent has left an opening, and he knows he must take advantage of it. As Lafali closes in for his grapple, Vicgretor reaches a single hand out and grabs Lafali by the neck. Vicgretor's eyes glow white, and his hand begins to glow the same color. Then, they both turn to a dark, sickly black. "Well, this is my god's response." Lafali feels a pain that he has never experienced before. He is on the recieving end of pure divine wrath, being channeled into him by Vicgretor. As the wolves close in, Vicgretor decks Lafali in the face, sending him flying. He then turns to face the wolves, who are now close enough to actually attack him. He focuses his full attention to defense, as he knows now his armor won't do him any good against the beasts. |
| ank03-10-07, 10:33 PM | That was supposed to be roleplaying the effects of the beams. I obviously could no longer dodge them, so the energy rays were bound to work, thus the spasms. He willingingly failed his petrification save to protect himself. Sorry about the confusion. P.S. the response below seems a little too much for me, but I figured siventarr would be unable to block, given he just cleaved his oppenent in twain. If you like me to, I shall edit this. Grrrahhhh! Sevifor screems as the ordered flame leaps through him, forcing him to take a predictable shape. As Merikel emerges on the other side of him, charcoal rains down from the spot where it cut Sevifor cleanly in two. Grinding his teeth against the pain, he spits out Eat my heart will you? Good luck finding it you putrid pig! Still reeling in his own pain, his hand shoots forward to the hulking vampire. Finding one of Siventarr's near healed wound, he grasps at the scarred tissue. Suddenly, from his hand erupts hundred of tiny metal slivers, jutting randomly into Siventarr only to branch off again and again, like the sting of a giant jellyfish. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-11-07, 12:39 AM | No, that's fine. Siventarr can probably (and I say probably) counter just about anything you throw at him. "Aaaaargh!!" Siventarr writhes in pain as the metal needles begins to slice through his flesh. With a sick squelching noise, he reaches inside his own wounds, and rips the cluster of needles out of himself. He drops it and lets it fall into the blackness below. "I'll find your heart, you can be sure of that!" The vampire flies out of reach. Siventarr raises his right hand and a begins to close his fist. The sound of Sevifor's beating heart can suddenly be heard by both combatants. Sevifor starts to feel a sharp burning pain where his heart is. Then he realizes it. Siventarr is pulling out his heart. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-11-07, 03:53 PM | Lafali lands roughly, coughing up some blood. With a raised hand he silently stops the wolfs. "It seems like I had underestimated you yet again. For that I apologies.", he slowly starts to unravel his banaged hand, "Endless Night gave me a gift before I came to this tournament. Alow me to show you what that gift can do." With the last of the bandage falls to the ground, vicgretor sees that lafali right hand looks like a star filled night. Lafali points it at vicgretor as several small glowing objects shoots forth toward the paladin. "Star Shower" |
| ank03-12-07, 06:19 PM | Sevifor graps at several parts of his body as Siventarr reaches in to grap at his figurative heart. Sevifor looks up with wide, fear-filled eyes and his body changes, coating itself in a solid metal shell. A cry rings from inside of it, Sevifor's heartwrenched screem. Suddenly, something begins to pound on the metal plating. Thud-thud Thud-thud Thud-thud Thud-thud Thud-thud Crash With a horrendous racket, Sevifor's shell bursts open at chest level, leaving a massive puncture wound in the armor. Out of this monsterous hole flies his heart, still throbbing and splattering warm, red, sticky blood everywhere in a gorey trail. It moves towards the decaying, clawed hand of Siventarr, and is just about in his grasp when the encasing steel figure explodes furiously, sending shrapnel flying in all directions as the strangest creature you will probably ever see catapults towards Siventarr. Just as heart meets hand, rows a teeth clamp down on the entire arm as the vaguely human-shaped blob known as Sevifor tries to reclaim his own heart. Miph me prack my hoerdt he chokes as he clamps down harder, causing raw chaos to seep into Siventarr... |
| Revlis_Nogard03-12-07, 11:53 PM | "Hmm? What sorcery is this? You dare use light to attack a champion of Pelor? You truly do need to brush up on your religion, friend." But Vicgretor's arrogance only lasts until he is actually hit by the attack. Naturally, he puts an arm up to block it, however nothing too special. The left will suffice. However, the beams pass through his armor, pass through his flesh, into his very being. Without warning, Vicgretor drops to the ground, screaming and swearing and holding his arm. He writhes on the floor, unable to even think about anything other than the pain that is confined to his arm. Through the pain, he manages to pull of Polaris, and throw it to the ground. On his left forearm, the symbol of Pride glows an unearthly red. It seeps a dead, black fluid that boils upon hitting the ground. Vicgretor still clutches his arm, but seems to be looking around the arena for something... He manages to pathetically crawl over to the shattered remains of his greatsword, and picks up a good sized piece of the sundered blade. The next act only adds to the pain. Vicgretor simply sits on the ground, his mind being driven to madness with pain, sawing at his arm with a broken sword. Finally, he cuts through the last of the sinew, and the cursed arm drops to the floor. As soon as this happens, a brilliant light shines through his right gauntelt, Sirius. It is the symbol of Glory, almost shining with approval. Vicgretor now smiles, and agains readies himself. "I'd like to ask you about your magic after this fight...it has some connection to these runes. But for now, let's finish this." |
| Lord_Bahamut03-13-07, 12:24 AM | Maybe you should read the posts closer. I clearly said that Siventarr flew away from Sevifor before casting his spell. He did this so that what you just posted wouldn't happen. Just a reminder, no hard feelings. ;) Siventarr raises his eyebrows in surprise as Sevifor's gooey mouth closes over his hand. He winces as the metal shrapnel cuts through him, but ignores the pain. He fights against the chaos trying to consume him, then welcomes it to strengthen his own being. Taking Merikel and leveling it at Sevifor, the vampire laughs softly. "If I cannot have your heart, Sevifor, then I will have your brain." Siventarr thrusts Merikel striaght at Sevifor's head, while his hand inside Sevifor's mouth closes slowly around Sevifor's heart. |
| ank03-13-07, 07:37 AM | Oh, you meant far away. Got it. My bad. Sevifor makes no effort to dodge Merikel, knowing full well that his brain isn't there. Still as it makes impact, he feels the awesome power of the blade burn his essense. Worse yet, his heart isn't co-operating with him anymore, and his strength begins to fade. Siventarr can feel Sevifor's grip weaken as his strength fades. Maintaining his oh-so-feeble grip, his two eyes roll back into his head to stare up at the entry point of the demon-sword. Focusing any control he has left he works his change. As the blade passes through him, its dual nature shifts. All those evil acts once perpetrated in Merikel's name are replaced with simialar acts of kindness. As Sevifor maintains so much of his focus, the rest of his body begins to melt away, forming feathers, tentacles, leaves, fur, and other oddities. But Siventarr feels a twitch at the end of his hand, as realizes that Merikel is trying to guide itself to cut off his hand... |
| Lord_Bahamut03-13-07, 05:57 PM | Siventarr screams in terrible pain as Merikel turns from an unholy blade into a sword of justice and good. The pure good sears his evil soul. He howls again as the razor sharp blade slices through his arm, burning pain like none he has ever experienced rippling thgouh his body. "AAAAARRGH!!! Merikel falls into the darkness, Siventarr's severed hand still clutching the hilt. Siventarr rips out his hand from the weakened Sevifor, still holding his faintly beating heart. "My hand! You bastard, I'll rip you limb from limb!" Raising his hand holding the heart, he gives one final squeeze and the heart explodes in a gorey mass of blood and flesh. His left hand his already regrowing, and Siventarr raises his right hand again. With Sevifor's blood dripping down his arm, he once more fires a ray of hellish fire that scores Sevifor's essence. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-13-07, 05:57 PM | I dont see how that is, Endless Night was one of the last items my kin created. Perhas I have missed some of there magical items somehow. But lets talk about that later, would you like me to restore your arm before we finish? A small orb form in his lafali hand, softly glowing blue. It glides over to where vicgretor resides. Walking over to where his naginata landed, he picks is up and take a deffences stance. |
| ank03-13-07, 10:01 PM | As the ray from fiery hell burns Seivifor's flesh, it appears that he is too weak to even cry out. His mouth, which is now more or less just an unrecognizable hole in his face, opens and he simply gasps with wide eyes and sags in the air. He does not move, does not even breathe, and appears as dead. After and what could easily feel like an eternity, although it was only a second or two, Sivifors index finger twitches, and then he lies truely still. Some of the crowd take him for dead, as well they should, and they cheer and applaud their victor. But they are silenced in an instant as several things happen seemingly at once. It would appear that gravity has reversed its flow, for now the discarded Merikel comes back, covered in angel feathers, point up...errr down. It is headed unerringly towards its point of origen, Siventarr. Dual Post (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=11759432&postcount=47) And a great gate opens above his head, a tremendous force of water seemingly destined to catch Siventarr in a guillotine. Time to die, souless one. Be purged! |
| Lord_Bahamut03-14-07, 02:26 AM | Wow, that multicolored text is hard to read. Makes a nice effect though. Siventarr roars his defiance. "Who do you think you are? Purge me? Hah! I manipulate this prison like wet clay! Let me show you what I can do!" Merikel comes hurtling up out of the darkness, blade ringing with holy power. The blade glows a golden color, and Siventarr's severed hand no longer grips the handle. As the holy Merikel stabs towards his heart, Siventarr calmly reaches out and grasps the blade by it's handle. His flesh begins to burn, and smoke wafts up from the hilt of the greatsword. Grinning, Siventarr utters a single word. "Evil." Instantly Merikel turns black, a wave of black energy blasting out with a subsonic hum. Siventarr swings Merikel about expiramentally, pleased that it works normally. Looking up at the falling water, he sneers at the thousands of tons of water about to crush him. Tracing intricate runes in the air of blue flame, the water suddenly stops in midair. Flames run through the water, and in a flash of heat the water bursts into lava. Directing the lava, Siventarr hurls it back where the water came from. "Burn, fool!" |
| ank03-14-07, 07:25 AM | Sevifor continues to draw water from the gate, but is forced to pull it towards him quickly. The water obeys his will and formes itself into a ovular sheild which then freezes into a large disk-shaped shield. As the lava makes impact, it splashes in all directions, and Sevifor can already feel the heat. His shield nearly gone, it is too late to consider a change. He reachs what his left of his hand, a webbed, three fingered blot, and touches the last remnants of his ice shield. He focuses intently, and as the lava bursts through, he is ready. It scalds his hand terribly, and an eruption of scalding steam clouds him from view, making it hard to even breathe. The cloud parts, and Siventarr can make out gigantic volcanic rock as the gate above him closes. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-14-07, 03:27 PM | Siventarr races upward as the gate closes between him and Sevifor. The giant volcanic rock hurtles towards him, and Siventarr cuts the giant rock in two by thrusting up through it with Merikel. Bursting out of the top of the rock, Siventarr snarls as the gate narrows to a thin crack, but he throws himself forward and wedges Merikel in between the closing gate. Using his own innate magic and Merikel's powerful dark power, he forces the gate back open and leaps from his hellish prison and to wherever Sevifor fled to. |
| ank03-14-07, 05:01 PM | Oooooh boy...this could get ugly. You see, the point was that Sevifor really hadn't moved, he couldn't do that. But now Siventarr has gone off to join the blood and darkness thread...oh yay. Alright, here's what's going to happen. My post should explain everything, and we are going to continue the battle HERE, not there, HERE. Story: Siventarr was mistake, on Sorcen's prefernce, we meet back at the arena. Ok, here goes, might be a bit long, but I can always edit(oh yes, editing has saved me yet again):) ...Oh, for future reference, if you find it hard to read the multicolored text, you can highlight it and it becomes less harsh on the eyes. The steam in the arena disperses, showing a broken Sevifor lying in the air. At first he looks confused, then scared, and finally a look of contentment settles on his face. Realizing what has happened he can offer no explanation to the audience, there is no time. Instead, he focuses his magics and envelops the entire prison with a magical lens that gazes into the depths of a huge ocean where Siventarr and...Sevifor!?? can both be seen. The body that was left behind in the stadium falls limp and soon disperses into nothingness. Over to Blood&Darkness. (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=11766695&postcount=53) He doesn't get very far before falling again on his face. "I can't make it." he mumbles The spirit is willing...But the flesh is weak. "Then sever the spirit." Break the mind.Destroy the body. His essence is lifted, although it would be more appropriate to say ripped, from his body. It forms itself into three ghostly figures, each of which looks exactly like Sevifor's earthly form. They glow earily in the dark water as the body below them fades, but not completely. His shell of a body has become something different. The ghosts reach for the three very real weapons, sharp as the day they were forged. They bear no insignia, no designs, and are a broadsword, a longsword, and a needle-thin rapier. The ghosts approach Siventarr respectfully and recite together, almost as if defining the rules of a game: Divided we are, but united we stand Here to fight in this forsaken land Pain to one gives pain to three But now we bring sweet death to thee. Waiting in the arena we be. They sink down into the muck, a gate reopening as they go. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-15-07, 06:49 PM | Siventarr sneers at Sevifor's companions as he walks toward the gate. "Friends, are you? I do so love to break up friendships..." With a laugh, he leaps into the portal and back into the blackness of the extradimensional prison. |
| ank03-15-07, 07:31 PM | Pah! Friends!? "These two are crazy! It seems wierd to say that because..." I am him. And so am I. "Enough talk, lets dance." The three fly forward together to take up flanking positions. Each chooses a fighting style unique to their most exellent blade. The Sevifor that wields a broadsword swings reclesslessly, but his stikes carry much force. The rapier-wielding one darts in and out to make pointed attacks. And finnally, the longsword-wielding one takes up a defensive stance, striking only when an opportunity presensts iself. Together, the three etheral beings make up a whirling dance of shining blades in sharp to contrast to their transpartent nature. |
| Lord_Bahamut03-15-07, 09:56 PM | Siventarr brings Merikel up to block the broadsword, and immediatley twists to avoid a darting thrust of the rapier. He smiles, the twisted grin showing true happiness as he and the three Sevifor's dance around each other, the ring of magic blade on magic blade almost a constant sound as Siventarr displays his mastery of swordfighting. The ghostly beings miss as much as Siventarr parries their blows. Siventarr feints and dodges, uses the ghostly being's own attacks to parry each other's strikes. It is apparent that the ghosts are woefully outmatched as Siventarr almost playfully gives one ghost a light cut with Merikel. Black flames flare up around the wound, only to die out again almost immediatley. Still, the ghostly flesh is burned and scarred. Siventarr takes advantage of the wound and lashes out with his powerful legs, landing a double-kick in the chest of one of the ghosts. But he is now too cocky. An ethereal longsword stabs in quickly, scoring a nasty cut on the vampire's side. Black blood runs down Siventarr's chainmail as he whirls around, barely blocking a crushing blow from the broadsword. The rapier wielding ghost darts in, but Siventarr blasts him away with a powerful force spell. Blue flame springs up along Merikel as the sapphire on the hilt blazes to life with an azure light. Swinging Merikel out in an arc like he did before in the battle, this time a wave of blue flame burns the very air itself as it flies out from the snarling Siventarr. As the flame bears down on the ghosts, Siventarr looks down at the wound in his side, surprised to see that it has not healed. Black blood still trickles out, slower than before, but still bleeding. Rage takes him, sweeping rage that he so often uses to defeat his foes. Sheathing Merikel, Siventarr clenches both fists and lets out an other wordly roar. The sheer magic radiating out from him makes the air shiver like heat waves, and then a spherical pulse of raging eldritch energy shoots out like a bubble from the vampire. Blue arcs of light crackle and spark inside a wave of white energy as the unholy wrath of Siventarr bears down on the ghostly Sevifors. |
| Revlis_Nogard03-15-07, 11:14 PM | "I was going to say that I can beat you with my hand behind my back...but I think this will make a better story years from now." Vicgretor charges Lafali and makes an attempt to trip him, sweeping his feet out from under him. |
| ank03-16-07, 10:06 PM | The embodiment of evil Sevifor leaps forwards immeditately, hitting the unholy energy without so much as batting an eyelash. The wave passes right through him, leaving no mark or pain in its wake, and he smiles a cruel, sadistic grin, raising his sword high as... The embodiement of that is good and holy chooses a foolish time to be chivalrous. He dashes in front of the last and indifferent companion, kneeling before him and holding his sword at a slanted angle, bracing for impact. And it is that the holiest, and most vulnerable, took the full force of the blow. He lights up like a bulb, as the unholy energy seeps into his body, and exiting in a brilliant display through his eyes, nostils, and ears, illuminating the ghastly form in full color. From him comes a meager, high-pitched choking sound, like one who gasps for air, as his inner concience struggles against the darkness. The one directly behind him, the Nuetral, common-sensed one, does not light up exept in the etheral shadow of greenish light portrayed by his holier self. He shouts in agony and clutches at his head, falling to his knees as they fail him in his moment of need. The dark one, still grining evilly, brings his sword about just as he the wave hits his fellows. The agony streams across their link, for they are in truth one body, one soul, many minds. The feeling is unbearable! Never before in all his days, exepting the date of his creation, had he felt such utter...agony. The one element in which he a product of, the one true thing he, as a personality, could call his own, was filling him...killing him. He falls flat on his face into the hypothetical ground, wrapping his arms around himself and rolling around like a scared child, tears flowing freely down his terrified face. Eventually, the most holy manages the strength to swing his sword into the light, dispersing it to the two sides of him, and ending the effect. At which point, he leans heavily on his right knee, gasping for breath though he should not need it. The Evil one still lies on the floor, curled into a ball from the shock. The only one who realizes the danger here, is the rationally nuetral element. Looking at his shocked companion, he notices the awkward position relative to to Siventarr, and quickyl puts two and two together If Siventarr strikes, he dies. If he dies, then we... He brings his hands down off his head, strands of hair clutched tightly in both from the nervous reaction to the pain. He looses the rapier like a normal person would throw a knife. Gifting it with the power of chaos and chance, he throws the weapon straight, fast, and true. He launches himself more slowly in its wake, praying to whatever gods that be that it works in time. Because if it doesn't, there might not be a mental recover this time. What had happened to all of his kin, would now happen to him... |
| Lord_Bahamut03-17-07, 01:03 AM | The rapier flies true. Siventarr howls in agony as it pierces striaght through his chest, shattered chain links flying off into the darkness. The rapier burst out of his back in a spray of blood, the black liquid running down the blade. Siventarr coughs, blood dripping out of his mouth. Looking down slowly at the rapier inside of him, he shudders once, then lets out a scream of pain so devastating it rocks the prison itself. Waves of sound and magic rip outward from him like a tidal wave as Siventarr grasps feebly at the handle of the rapier. He looks at the advancing neutral Sevifor. "A lucky...*cough*... throw, Sevifor. But this is... *cough*... not finished yet." Merikel pulses brightly as if in sympathy as Siventarr draws out the rapier agonizingly slowly. Through the clean round hole in his chest, the neutral Sevifor can see how lucky he really was. For a hole has been pierced through Siventarr's vampiric heart. Shaking, Siventarr gazes down on Merikel as the nuetral Sevifor advances. Letting the rapier drop into the blackness, Siventarr gives a pain-filled lopsided smile as raging red flames burst to life around him. His from grows, scissor-like claws growing from his shoulders, a long, muscular tail snaking its way around Siventarr's legs. The weaponless neutral Sevifor looks small and powerless beside the wounded but still dreadfully powerful Siventarr. Towering almost twelve feet tall, Siventarr snaps his claws and flourishes Merikel with his original hands. His tail snaps like a whip. "You are all that stands between me and victory. Let us finish this once and for all." Charging toward the neutral Sevifor, Siventarr laughes as the firey halo around him shoots bars of white hot flame at the two paralyzed Sevifor's. "What will you do? Save yourself or your other personalities? Hahahahaha!" |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-17-07, 01:06 AM | As vicgretor begins his charge, lafali hurls the naginata towards him. Once it leaves the dragon hand it erpurts into brilliant white energy. With his hands now free, lafali quickly form delicate hand signs. Once the last seal was formed, blossems of fire flicker to life around lafali. "Fire Style ,Fire Blossems" |
| ank03-18-07, 02:09 PM | The last figure still in fighting form performs a double-take on a dime, stopping instantly in the air and launching himself backwards at an angle to buy as much time as possible. During this time, the hellish bolts of fire have almost reached their helpless targets. Suddenly, against all will, the smouldering Good launches himself with powerful legs to the side. From his mouth come these monotonous words. "Too long have I suffered..." The fire misses him just barely, scorching he side as he throws his longsword into the air. Almost simultaneously, but obviously after the first one moves, the cowering Evil also pulls himself together. He leans forward, extending his arms from their fetal position, and places them against the empty air under himself. The bolt comes close enough to feel the burn before the impact, and the arms stap taught, launching the huddled form into the air, where it straightens into a longbackflip. "Succeeded where others have failed..." skimming the top of flaming bolt, and his face melts off. Somehow, just barely, he remains alive but unconcious as he falls again. Siventarr is sure of his victory, and he can see the whites of Sevifor's eyes, now set with grim purpose. He brings Merikel down in a powerful blow that is doomed to end the battle, game, set, and match. But Sevifors hand flies to his side, as the longsword of his fellow lands backwards, but hilt first, into his hand. He draws his hand back into his chest, dragging the protesting weapon with him at an incredible speed. The weapons colide a meer inch from Sevifor, where they clang mightily and sparks fly, illuminating both competitors a dim red glow for but an instant, casting ominous shadows of both. "To succumb to failure now." Merikel beats back the rival sword, but is thrown off its path so that instead of the killing blow it longs to deliver, it slices off Sevifor's right ear. Before Siventarr can bring Merikel back across for the kill, the broadsword flies true into Sevifor's right hand, and he swings it, one armed, towards Siventarr, who is forced to block. Sevifor is filled with a grim, calculating aura. There is no emotion, no pain, no fear, nothing now; it has passed. Now, there is only the simple truth: Kill or be killed, survival of the fittest, win or die. He flips the longsword right side up, and brings it in an upwards, backhand swing at Siventarr's head. Siventarr blocks easily, but when he plunges Merikel toward the now exposed chest of Sevifor, he finds that the annoying broadsword is there in the way. Sevifor presses forward, circling his opponent as their blades dance in an endless flurry looking for an opening, but none comes; the two are in a complete stalemate. Finally, the moment comes, Siventarr makes the mistake of going for a powerful, over the head swipe. As his blade comes down, Sevifor brings his hands together crossing them and angling the blades such that they too cross, and if you were to draw a line around each, the arms and blades would form a makeshift diamond. Sevifor pushes forward with all the strength he can still manage to muster, and the tips of his blades now stand on either side of Siventarr's neck. The blades are locked tight, and Merikel cannot be pulled out. Sevifor's arms shake with the exertion of keeping them straight. Siventarr realizes that no matter which way he breaks, wherever he moves Merikel, one of Sevifor's avenging weapons would leave him headless. His only option would be to release Merikel, a near suicidal action from this position. Sevifor locks eyes with him, seemingly boring into his very soul. "Yield. The battle is mine." |
| Lord_Bahamut03-18-07, 09:07 PM | Siventarr strains against Sevifor's swords, trying to force Merikel's unbreakable blade down into Sevifor's wounded flesh. But try as he might, he can't do it. He is about to bring his claws and tail to bear when Sorcen's ruling booms out across the arena. Siventarr lowers Merikel with a snarl. "Fine then, Sevifor. You win. But this battle is not finished. I will find you and hunt you down after this tournament is over, and then we will see who should have won." His form crackles and warps, and his body is normal once more. His flaming halo dies out, and he slides Merikel back into it's sheath. "Remember, Sevifor. I will always be watching for the moment to strike. Be wary, victor. Undoubtedly I would have won if Lord Sorcen had not intervened, but apparently he did not want me to slay you." Turning his back, he draws a rune in the air and slices the planar walls to his prison with a gesture. The arena can be seen through the slice in the prison wall. He turns his head back over his shoulder and says one last thing to Sevifor. "You are the first to defeat me, Sevifor. But I will make you my slave." Turning back to the arena, he spreads his wings and flies toward the tavern, his dark shadow cutting down across Vicgretor and Lafali's match below. |
| ank03-18-07, 10:02 PM | Oh na...! Its no big deal. Besides, what I'm about to do to you is much worse. Sevifor stands there just long enough to glance at himself...twice, with burning blades set over himself. "I gave you your chance, you gave me mine. The rules of engagement have been satisfied. And thus it gives me great pleasure to announce your death, I'll see...earlier." With his denial, the blades of flame cut down, killing Sevifor two times over as he does absolutely nothing to stop it. Lifeless, the last remaining resistance falls into the Abyss of the prison. Siventarr has won! The crowd cheers and cries his name, before they realize that all is not well. Something probes their thoughts, offering them the truth, nothing more, nothing less. Each is made aware of what truely has occured, and they remember their future lives...about 30 seconds ago: The blades fall, but just before the blow, they come to hover above his heads, and he smiles sinisterly. The blades reverse their flow and dissipate harmlessly into the air. Siventarrs claws unsnap, and Sevifor's arms regrow. The magic weapons of each fly back into their hands and time stops. Sevifor repeats his challenge. "Yield. The battle is mine." He keeps his countenance about him, and works silently and quickly. The prison is surrounded with a layer of silence, stopping and interfering patron from releasing his secret. Next, his entire body, save for the outer layer of flesh, for disguise, becomes a very hard steel, holding him in place even if he wanted to move. He swaps bodies with his alter ego, Good, just as the blade hovers above his head. Rolling to the side and getting wordlessly up, he walks over to Siventarr, who is fooled by the replica of himself. He picks up both fallen weapons and stand behind Siventarr. The good one has just enough will to look as if he is seriously contemplating defeat, before he melts his jaw, and taking a stuttering breath, says "You are an ignorant fool." Just as the heartless one taps his gently twice on the shoulder. Not waiting for a reply, he stabs both weapons into the hole that the rapier started, and tears outward in two directions, tearing through flesh and bone. "Goodbye Siventarr, let none say I didn't try to spare your miserable excuse for a life." The last standing Sevifor gathers the three skillfully crafted blades and places them in such a way that their tips touch one another. He takes his other selves and carries them to the weapons. Each then takes the handle of their blade, and they wordlessly begins to reform into their natural state of self-hatred. Their swords grow brightly, and each one is absorbed into his weapon. The weapons then meld into one another before growing outward into the body of the one, 'true' Sevifor, who gasps for his first breath as he stops glowing. Standing up, he remembers the horrific battle that had taken place seconds before, and he shudders as his personality, memory, and present thoughts drift violently through their fazes. The one thing each seems to have in common is that the battle has scarred each of them for life in some way for life. Forming now a composite sketch, they resume the normal balance of their resistance, and he becomes good again. There will be time for therapy later, I have always here he shudders involuntarily recovered, always coped, but for now I need alcohol, lots of it, and well aged. "To the Tavern!" |
| Revlis_Nogard03-21-07, 06:11 PM | Vicgretor looks as his opponent surrounds himself in flame. He is distracted just long enough that he is almost unable to get out of the way of the polearm's deadly path. Instead, it finds its home deep in Vicgretor's left leg, now seeping with blood. "Better...here than my...chest." He reaches down at the blade and wretches it from his leg. The snaps the blade, then the pole, and throws the pieces to the ground. Vicgretor then begins to pray. The words are unintelligable, however it seems like some sort of incantation. |
| Gaelro_Nailo03-28-07, 05:31 PM | OOC: Sorry for taking so long. BIC: As the flaming blossoms swirl around lafali, they gradually spead out to engulf the entire arena. Flaring suddenly they burn there way downwards deep into the earth. Slowly the ground starts to melt, as a sea of lava is formed. Standing on one of the few islands, Lafali waits for vicgretor spell be complet. |
| Sorcen_Anenooata03-30-07, 11:00 AM | As Vicgretor bows to his opponent and leaves the arena, Sorcen stands and addresses Lafali, "Your opponent had business to attend to. He did forfeit the match to you though, congradulations. Take some time to yourself and prepare for your match against Sir Sevifor." He returns to his seat and watches the rest of them. |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-07-07, 11:20 PM | As the lava cools, lafali nods his head at vicgretor. "Lets finish this battle some time." Lifting his right arm lafali whispers, "Dal'rog noroth" Tendril of mist forms around his outstreached arm, weaving a tight bandage. Smiling slightly Lafali look over at Lord Sorcen. "I am ready when Sir Sevifor arives." |
| ank04-09-07, 12:54 PM | Sevifor comes walking into the arena, wavering a little as the last trace of alcohol leaves him. "Oh, so you're my last opponent ar you? Strange, for being the best of the best of the other bracket you don't look that frightning." He bows "Sevifor, at your service, and you would be...?" wow, i missed my enterance by a long shot, and I honestly don't know how. Terribly sorry. |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-10-07, 12:28 AM | "My name is Lafali Lathi, master of the rilynnathem school of combat." , lafali bow low before Sevifor, showing much respect. "I wish you the best of luck with this match. I am ready to start when you are." |
| ank04-10-07, 10:20 PM | "Well," He takes note of the cloud bandage wrapped around lafali's arm. "You're the wounded one, you make the first blow, but give me a moment to compose myself." He takes a breather, moves his neck back and forth, producing a sickly snapping sound of several vertebrae. He stretches upward for a moment and spread his feet apart a little to better support his body. Lastly, he looks out evilly at Lafali and nods a brief token of respect to Sorcen and Aya before turning his gaze back to Lafali Besides, not like it's going to do you and good. |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-11-07, 07:58 PM | "Very well, I'll start." With a flick of his left wrist, lafali hurls a kunai toward Sevifor. Half way it shatters into hundred of pieces. |
| ank04-12-07, 09:27 PM | Sevifor doesn't so much as flinch as the hundred or so piece of metal fly towards him. He mearly stares at each of them. Several past him, doing no harm at all, but others, the ones intended to hit him, stop in midair in front of his face. Oh come now, something heavier, or maybe faster than this might do some damage. I dearly hope you're just warming up. Here, let me show you something that might work. The shrapnel merge at a point at chest level, and form a fairly large iron ball. This then elongates, thins, and gains a sharp tip. The process takes only a few seconds, and, when finished, forms a smooth metal spear. Here, dodge this. With a flick of his wrist he sends the weapon back to his former owner, point first. |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-13-07, 01:03 AM | Sidestepping the spear lafali laughs, "This is going to be fun" Forming his kusari-gama of moonlight he hurls it toward sevifor, guilding it with his wrist movement. The blade flickers toward sevifor one moment before lafali pulls it back to hurl it again. Again and again the blade speeds toward the human only to be pulled back at the last moment. "Once I miss, twice I miss, how long till I hit." With another flick of his wrist the kusari-gama is aimed at sevifor chest. OOC: By the way lafali right arm is limp. |
| ank04-13-07, 07:38 AM | Sevifor seems to be focusing all his attention on dodging the moon blows of his opponent. He flinches every time as it comes closer and closer to him. The first time he bent backward out of the way, the next time he tries to bring a hand up to block the blow, only to have it annoying snatched away. Indeed it will He says with a slight snarl of annoyance. Now, as yet another blow comes, he leaps off to the side just as Lafali hears a slight whooshing sound from behind him. Apparently, Sevifor wasn't finished with that spear, for several daggers are flying close behind Lafali, destined for his heart. |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-13-07, 06:17 PM | Hearing the daggers lafali whirls the kusari-gami around and trys to deflect them. "Blasted", lafali curses as one of the daggers opens a slight wound upon his cheek. As crimson blood starts to seep down his cheek lafali laughs, "You are an interesting one." Whirling his blade around and inplanting it in the ground, lafai pulls at it till a chunk of the arena floor gives way. With one last heave lafali sends it flying at sevifor. "You did say something about what I throw at you being heaver?" |
| ank04-15-07, 09:10 PM | The boulder smashes into Sevifor, who was completely unprepared for any show of force on behalf of his oppenent. So thats how the man got here is it? Speak softly and throw big rocks? His feet are lifted into the air slightly by the blow, and he is thrown back about a foot before landing with a thud. One of his arms slithers its way out of the boulder and reforms. Waving it in front of him, the chunk of arena dissipates into a cloud of minute dust particles that start to settle around Sevifor, who is pushing himself back up. He chokes a little on the dust. *cough* Ahh, very good, you took my *cough* advice did you? Well, another good principal to remember is that if you throw enough of something, its bound to hit. But enough bragging, if I keep up this monologue, someone's going to get bored. Focusing a moment, he scuffs a small spot on the ground, kicking up a tiny puff of dust. The arena around him follows suit, and soon a gaint dirtstorm brews. You can just barely make Sevifor out through the dust as he makes a single gesture, though it looks like its for effect only. The wind picks up immediatey and blows the dirtstorm right for Gaelro. Something is weird though, it's changing somehow... And then it becomes clear: the dirtstorm has become a rushing wall of earthen mud... |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-18-07, 11:08 PM | As the wall of sand moves closer to lafali, he slowly starts to spin gaining speed with each twirl. As he gains speed the wind around him froms into an tornado. As the wall of sand reaches the vortex, its merges with it. "Here, I'll let you have this back now." Slowly at first, the vortex of sand inches toward sevifor. Gradulay it gains speed till it is almost upon the human. |
| ank04-19-07, 04:23 PM | Sevifor runs out to meet the tornado head on, and vision is lost of him inside of the dark cloud. Presumaby, the swirling vortex sucked him inside and is throwing him about like some sort of rag doll. The force of the wind dragged him in so quickly, it took Sevifor a second to realize that hundreds of small pieces of sand and rock are stinging his face, clouding his vision, and collecting in his throat. As soon as this does become apparent, however, he puts his plan into effect. No longer staying with his typical human guise, the sentient bit of chaos polymorphes himself into a very heavy statue. The statue is modled after some kind of ogre it would seem, based on the chisled muscles, but it has a single, long, thick row of sharp metal jutting out from each its wrists, knees, elbows, and shoulder blades. The expression upon its face could be described as one of either content, controlled anger, or, more likely, impatience. Come on now you filthy dust bunny, do your job. A strange statue comes shooting out near the top of funnel, blades flashing. The dusty tornado begins to die when Sevifor exits. Angling his new body, he begins a swift fall that will bring thousands of tons of stone and slashing metal down on his foe... |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-20-07, 09:54 PM | Letting his blade fly, lafali watchs as it bounce off of sevifor. Not only dose it seem that sevifor new form is dencer, but also has some negative effect on lafali magic, as his kusari-gami disapates. "This could get ugly." Inhaling slightly, lafali unleashes an inferno at the statue. As the flames die down lafali shimmer for a moment, before appearing above sevifor. |
| ank04-21-07, 11:42 PM | Small, but hard and sharp claws flex out of the statue-creatures hands and feet, which have been chisled into a scaley, reptilian pattern. These claws bury themselves in the arena floor as Sevifor comes to a hard landing on all fours. His long, snakelike head whips around to find his opponent, and easily spots him in the sky. Sevifor flashes what probably passes for a grin on such a beast, and the beak-like mouth opens to reveal rows of serrated teeth. He spins quickly, and swings his right hand about. The blade on his right elbow leads up the backswing assualt, but is quickly followed by the smaller, more accurate wrist blade... |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-24-07, 09:41 PM | As sevifor wrist blade flashes outward catching lafali off guard. Landing a few feet away clutching his soulder, where his kimono is fastly turning red. His hand glows softly as his wounds heal. "How much longer are we going to play around sevifor? We can keep fighting like this for all eternity without gaining anything. Unless I am mistaken you are hiding your true form and I would like to see it before this tournament is over. |
| ank04-29-07, 12:25 AM | Sevifor launchs himself at his opponent, wrist blades flashing. His first blow, a right-hand wrist blade, is easily dodged by lafali as he jumps to the side. Sevifor continues to press lafali with what begins as a punch to the face by his left hand, but changes to an upward slash with an elbow blade. lafali is almost fooled by the attack, but catches Sevifor by the arm and throws his attack off-kilter so that he catches a bladeful of air. So, he says as he takes another passing blow at lafali a soul brave, or foolish, enough to blatently Here he brings a knee up to jab lafali in gut. The blow falls wide of his swaying opponent, and Sevifor bats away a glancing counter-blow. ask me to reveal myself. I drive myself to insantity sir... He swings again and catches a nick of lafali's waist on his left wrist-blade. What makes you think you stand half a chance? I'd say that you are ignorant, but this cannot be the case. So again, I find myself asking whether thou be brave He leaps forward, spinning an aerial circle with blades dancing about him. lafali jumps forward and rolls underneath the impending attack. On his way back up, he tips his arm upwards so that it catches Sevifor by the foot, and sends him sprawling into the dirt. He spits out a mouthful Or foolish. Well, if you insist so heartily, I suppose I'd best secure the saftey of our viewing audience shall I? Sorcen's barriers may block all attacks, but sometimes, just the meer sight of a horror can be bad enough. He holds his arms our vertically with fists clenched. The metal blades that were imbended in his "flesh" shoot out from him to all corners of the stadium, contacting abruptly with Sorcen's barriers. At each point of impact, the blades begin to absorb, or more appropriately, coat, the barriers with a dark screen that spreads itself throughout the viewing area until the arena is blocked from view. A moment of concentration later, and a message is conveyed to each member of the arena. I have implemented this screen so that you, the esteemed spectator of Sorcen's arena, shall be safe from what is to come. You will find that if you focus in the screen for a moment, it will lessen to your eyes, and allow you view the battle as normal, but consider yourselves warned. Pure chaos is not something to be taken lightly, and I can make no guarentee as to your mental or physical wellbeing, and thus I advise you not to look if you have even the slightest doubt about your ability to handle it. You have been warned, let the battle continue. Sevifor, finished with his task, looks over at lafali. The time for games is over, as you wished. His skin softens, and takes a lighter tone. His body shrinks, his claws retract, and his face becomes again the soft features of a middle-aged man. It all seems quite normal, until the devolution doesn't simply stop there. Next, his skin melts off, and in drippy rolls begins to slid towards the ground where it simmers and dissapears. His eyes begin to burn with blue flames, and then vanish altogether as the heat takes them. His mouth wires itself together with a layer of flesh and then melts away like all the rest. As various body parts drop rather disgustingly to the ground, something else, something shimmering, takes its place. When the transformation completes itself, a strange being lifts what cold pass as a head to look at Gaelro; how it can look, you cannot guess, for it has no eyes nor ears to hear with. The closest that you could come to describing him would be like an element, water, perhaps, being the most similair. Exept that this being has clearly featured fingers, toes, even rippling strands of energy that could pass for hair, all confined in the shape of a six-foot-or-so man or woman; it is also to be noted that the creature is sexless. The creature is made out of a substance that has a rather silvery, with a bit of chalk-white, material, but this ripples up and down continously with a rainbow of strange and exotic colors that give off an eary aura. Some of the shades are rather simple: a dull red or a bright yellow, but others are of colors and shades that boggle the mind, for you are sure that they do not even exist, and yet somehow they register to your mind. This is all that appears to be when taken on surface value, a silvery, man-shaped substance of changing colors, and yet, the material draws you in closer. It fills your mind with the presence of multiple, endless, and absurd possibility. Each tiny speck encompasses the whole the world, but somehow does not. All that is, or ever will be, is encomapased in each tiny speck of that power. But such things are not yet made, not yet present, not tangible, and certainly not present in the thing before you. Within, though, you can see pieces of yourself, of others, of the darkest wood, of the blazing inferno, and all of the world, at the same time, and through your same eyes. It would seem to be too much for one man, one brain, one soul to even handle. It seems there is only one escape, and madness becons, offering a warm and joyous respite. But the proof on conquering this desire of insantity lies right before you, in the swirling hypnotic pattern that makes up the creature that it is. Sevifor's features turn into a small, perhaps sad, but mostly knowing close-mouthed smile. "The only Constant is change. |
| Gaelro_Nailo04-29-07, 11:09 PM | Ank, this person (dragon realy) is lafali not gaelro. I havn't had Gaelro enter these threads yet. "I was right, you are an interesting one." As lafali closes his eyes, time seems to stop. The few dragonic runes left on his body glow brightly before fading away. As the binding that sealed his powers are removed, the bandages on his right arm is torn away by some unknow source. A torment of energy surges around him, tugging at his kimono. Smiling slightly lafali opens his eye. Once sky blue they are now golden orbs, sparkling with laughter. "It has been such a long time since I have had the pleasure of taking this form. Please forgive me for this will take afew moments. But we can still have some fun in the meanwhile." Lifting his right arm to point it at sevifor, a slim ray of twilight weaves towards him. |
| ank04-30-07, 04:21 PM | I am terribly sorry, I could've sword I'd looked to make sure I has the right name. I've even seen you use Lafali here before: "dragon twister" and the like. How on earth did I get those mixed up... Anyways, it's been edited out, sorry again. I have all th e time in th e Multiverse. Sevifor holds out his hand and an impossibly shiny metal disk spirals into existance. It's polished so smoothly, you can see your face in it. It then bends quickly towards Lafali from all corners and rounds itself off, forming a concave disk directed away from Sevifor. With an absent-minded flick of a small appendage, what probably would qualify as a "finger," the disk moves to impact the strand of twilight... |
| Gaelro_Nailo05-02-07, 11:29 PM | No biggy. Just didnt want lafali and gaelro to get confused when I do bring him here. If you don't like this part I'll change it As the stand curves aaround the disk, hitting the ground near sevifor. A intence flash of light follows as a large grey crystal forms. "So a grey one this time." Slowly at first, the surge of energy around lafali calms. As the last of the energy leaves, lafali hurls an orb of twilight at the grey crystal. What follows can only be discribe as beautiful. The orb enters the crystal, it then seperates into hundreds of strands, bursting out of the crystal into the arena. As they hit any object, including other stands, they form large crystals of many diffent colors. Some like the first are on the ground, or walls of the arena. But the majority of them forms in midair. "Twilight stones like these are useful in crafting magical items. They can store great amount of magic in them. They also reflect that energy if the conditions arn't right. Here let me show you." "Dragon Arc", with a flick of his wrist an arc of energy hits the nearest crystal, a crimson one. Within a milosecond the arc is released, this time a reddish hue, right towards sevifor. |
| ank05-06-07, 08:08 PM | Sevifor turns around as if to run from the beam, and ends up tripping on that first grey crystal that Lafali had annoyingly places right under him. Falling over himself, he is unable to do anything as the beam rips a hole through chest, and appears on the other side of him. This beam is at a slightly different angle, and apparently it was changed on its trip through Sevifor, because an emerald green ray is what emerges on the other side. The beam strikes a nearby crystal, a blue one in fact, which refracts the beam in all different directions, tearing many more, small holes in Sevifor before he actually manages to hit the ground. When he launches himself to his feat, he looks like a mess of swiss cheese. Chaotic, deadly swiss cheese, but holey nonetheless. The holes instantly begin to fill themselves in with more swirling energy, but Sevifor is clutching at his chest in a universal symbol of pain... [/sblock=ooc]figured I'd leave you an opportunity to detail the effects of the ray if you want, other than tearing holes in raw chaos [/sblock] |
| Gaelro_Nailo05-08-07, 11:09 PM | The red/blue crystals just change the element of the attack, or add an element to the attack. But the axiomatic effect of the arc would hurt a creature of pure chaos I think Leaping onto the nearest crystal lafali dodges the few rays aimed at him, Sometimes I hate using these things. Its bad when my own attack is reflected at me by my own crystal.", looking at sevifor lafali seems a bit worried, "You ok? I diddn't mean to cause you that much pain. But I guess when people fight theres no helping it." With a flick of his wrists lafali forms 6 kunai, 3 made out of moonlight with his left and the others made out of twilight with his right. Leaping up onto another crystal, this time above sevifor, laflai hurls them down towards his opponent. |
| ank05-13-07, 09:00 PM | Ok. Sorry it's take me so long. I've been suffering from a lot of work lately, and that lead to a tiny bit of burnout as well. Anyways, i'm back and raring to go. Sevifor flips over quickly and flicks his wrist at the six flying Kunai. Halfway through the air, they suddenly burst into magnificent golden flame. A closer inspection reveal that the kunai are now, in fact, made of glorious sunlight, their polor opposite. The Kunai of twilight fade from view almost instantaneously as the light of day pierces them through and through. The burning sunlight has all but exhausted itself by the time they hit Sevifor, and manage to just barely singe him. His form flows upwards and stands erect again. Don't worry, that trick wont work twice. Sevifor hurls a bolt of force at one of the green crystals next to Lafali. With only a little bit of manipulation, he gets the desired effect. Green vapors are rolling upwards to Lafali, harmful to the skin. To make things worse, Sevifor follows this up with a single bolt of fire. By now, it must be apparent that the gas is not only harmful, but flammable. |
| Gaelro_Nailo05-22-07, 08:12 PM | Sorry about the delay. As the bolt of fire hits the vapors they go up in flames, engulfing lafali. A great roar can be heard as an orb of golden light erupts out of the flames, right towards sevifor. |
| ank05-29-07, 08:43 PM | Sevifor clamps his hand shut around thin air and yanks backwards hard, as if he were actually manipulating something tangible. The threads of reality are clearly visable to him, and he plucks a few like a skilled harpist would do his insturment. Reality unravels at his touch, and tears a hole in the ordered system of the multiberse. A flick of his fingers, and the "non-exist" threads wrap themselves around the fireball. They stretch, instantly, and fight the light's momentum. It moves closer, closer, slower, slower, and finally stops moving and stands completely still right in front of his Sevifor's nose. If this were any other normal combatent, you might expect him to be perspiring, because he is shaking, and his body rippling with the strain of...whatever it is he's doing. A short time later, about the time it takes to draw breath, the fabric snaps back like a rubber band into place, ripping the air asunder. The spectators can see the air ripple just before their ears percieve the boom that follows; the ball of light has simply ceased to exist. He exhales heavily. You promised me a fight, when you demanded a glimpse of my "true form." Seems you're ready. I will no longer pull my punches. These next words are spoken eerily, in the sense that they are quiet, and nearly monotonous. The amount of stress behind each sylable hints at the difficulty of using the voice, and it's clear he wants to get a point across. All magic draws its power from a source. Spellcasters, they channel this raw power of th e multiverse, refine it so they may use it. Have you ever felt the touch of this undiluted, raw energy? Youwill... He takes a step forward... |
| Gaelro_Nailo05-29-07, 09:31 PM | This is the best pic I could find of lafali form. He is about 30ft long most of the time. Plus 1000ft is a little much. He has fragments of twilight crystals inbedded on his scales. Ohh and his front right arm is covered in twilight scale. http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p150/gaelro_nailo/chinese-dragon-mosaic.jpg "Well well, that was an useful ability. Raw cosmic energy? Umm, never liked the stuff much. To chaotic for my taste. Now for the energy I can control is a totaly diffent matter." As the flames die down sevifor gets his first glimps at lafali dragonic form. As he wraps his lower body around the nearest crystal and smiles at sevifor. "How bout we play catch, I'll start first. With a flick of his tail the crystal is hurled at sevifor, followed closely by anouther blast of golden light. |
| ank05-29-07, 10:14 PM | Sevifor takes another step forward and leans his body forward like a runner's to gain monentum. This doesn't go very far, because he lifts his next foot...and reappears to finish setting it down right behind the crystal's path, and just in front of the ball of light. He flings his right arm out and across his body to grasp the left-ward side of the orb. GGRRAAHHHH!! He steps with his left foot and buries it into the ground. He pivots and twists his body in a tight circle and whips the orb around with his arm. It seers into him, but a change is made on the way round. The orb decomposes itself, and when Sevifor comes around with his blow, he is holding a much smaller, but infinately more dangerous, orb of...words cannot accurately decribe the phenomina, although a silvery, pulsating line of translucent quicksilver would be the closest possible explanation. He comes full circle, and releases the orb, which flows from its spherical shape to a thin, liquid ray that aims for a small patch of scales in Lafali's chest. Catch this! |
| Gaelro_Nailo05-29-07, 10:33 PM | Twisting his body lafali catching the ray on one of his twilight shards. Somehow it jumps from one shard to the next till it forms into an orb of utter darkness in his right claw. Squishing the orb tightly till it is absorbed into his arm. Inhaling slightly lafali unleashes yet another orb, but this time its has two shades to it. The normal golden light along with what remained of the darkness that he absorbed moments before. Curving around the cyrstal that blocked it path toward sevifor, the two forms of energy residing within it seems to fight over which one will get to him first. Though the orb never loses it perfect sphere shape. |
| ank05-29-07, 10:53 PM | Sevifor has barely any time to prepare at all to halt the monsterous assault, and can only fling up his arms protectively before they reach him, and pass right through him. It's as if the orb skipped him over entirely, and re-appeared on the other side. The orb pauses, spins, and comes for him again. The thing is almost intelligent, and Sevifor can feel the malign nature wanting to devour his essense with a vengence. It almost hits him again, but re-appears on the other side. Sevifor can feel the "magic" wrapped around him, the cosmic threads that function as a medium for all things, and him as a seperate entity completely. A spacial rift has been created, and not an inch on either side of him. The orb enters again and tries to find something to latch hold of, but Sevifor is ready this time. He manipulates the essense of the orb as if it were his plaything, albeit a very powerful and deadly plaything. With the mecanincal movements of an expert, he just barely manages to pull of what he's looking for, and orb splits. Two orbs, half the size of the original, now circle him at polar ends of his rift. Like the sun and moon themselves, they mirror the other's movements and plunge in and out, in and out of what seems to be Sevifor. All is equal in the realm of chaos His defenses come down, and the two orbs crash into him with inhuman glee. And Sevifor screems. A horrid, rakish screem, before falling to the his hands and knees on the ground. He breaths slowly and consistantly, for no other reason than to focus himself, and the arena floor begins to change. Channeling what is left of the power he just absorbed, the silvery chaos spread out from his fingers and feet. It conquers the surrounding ground, unwilling and unable to be cages, transforming all it touches, slowly, to itself. It roils, churns, and crashes against an unending attempt at freedom. Sevifor looks up, and takes some small comfort in watching some of the horrified faces in the audience, those that dared to look that is, as he struggles with the conflict within. It will not be long now... |
| Gaelro_Nailo05-29-07, 11:34 PM | Closing his eye lafali floats between the crystals. Suddenly an arc of energy leaps from one shard to another, graduly more arcs form. With each new arc that is formed a soft melody can be heard. It takes sevifor a fraction of a second to locate the source, or as it is in this case sources. The very crystals around the arena are singing in a long forgotten languages. As the last note of the song end times slows to a halt. A single teardrop is the only thing that escapes the spell, falling from lafali cheek. When it lands on a crystal lafali releases all of the arcs at once. As each arc fallows what appears to be a set path, weaving in and out till they hit the crystal of there shade. All at once the crystals implodes upon themselves, bathing the arena with an strange light. When the light fades the audience notices that the chaos around sevifor has grown, it has now engulfed most of the arena. "Why didn't my spell work?", lafali looks around the area looking for something, untill he spys the enlarged choas that his spell has feed. "Blast, this is why I hate chaotic energy." |
| Gaelro_Nailo06-03-07, 10:23 PM | OOC: Changed my post. Sorry about that Sorcen, won't happen again (unless you say i can at somepoint, have a great ability that works only in that realm.) |
| ank06-05-07, 05:58 PM | Sevifor looks up, and gives a deep, resounding chuckle to Lafali. Of course it didn't work... Apparently drained from his efforts, he simply collapses into the sea of chaos and is lost from the arena. The chaos seeps forward another full meter before his form twists itself out, erect, of the sea a few feet from where he had fallen. Chaos cannot be caged. We do not like it. You note the particular emphasis on the word "we." By now, the sea of enless chaos has reached the base of the grandstands. It doesn't even halt its movement, and plows right through it...and begins to climb. It reaches the top, where the spectaters are, and stops abruptly as it hits Sorcen's invisable barriers. At first, the scene is calm (as calm as can be when it comes to raw chaos) but then something happens that nobody in their right mind would ever want to see: the barriers of Sorcen struggling. Bolts of magical power are strewn inwards as the power struggle draws on, and it looked like the barriers would hold firm, as usual. But then, slowly, the protest began to weaken. The bolts of opposition come slower, slower...and stop; Chaos begins to seep through invisable, intangible pores into Sorcen's Baator. As the perspiration collects on the floor of the grandstands, it keeps crawling along right toward the demon audience. With a flurry of wings, several quasits burst into the air shieking in panic, and others quickly stand; either to run, or make a foolish last stand. But just the sea reaches the very foot of the seating, it stops again, and does not move. Looking down, you can see Sevifor focused intently, making a beconing motion with his arm slowly, as though some great burdon hindered his path. His face is screwed up, and from what you can tell of his mostly blank facial expression he is in deep meditation. An aura springs forth from the chaotic sea, and you get the distinct feeling that it is somewhat confused, not understanding; like a sentient being communicating. Eventually, reluctantly, it begins to curl back in upon itself and to draw back into the arena. It leaves behind a space that is empty as a vacuum, and it appears as though some great beast has taken a bite out of the arena itself, creating a razor edge just in front of the seats of the guests. It flows back down through Sorcen's barriers, making the area around the arena safe again. That doesn't stop it from continuing its climb up the barriers, seeking to expand as much as possible as various devil lords quickly, though catiously, rebuild the dissolved stadium. As Sevifor turns to face Lafali, still half-way lost in his concentration, as single thought runs through his head. "When this is over, I'm going to be in a heap of trouble. |
| Gaelro_Nailo06-06-07, 02:16 AM | Flying higher into the arena to get away from the chaos lafali looks around for something. "Sorcen, you might want to strengthen your barrier. This is the real Dragon Twister." Opening his jaw lafali breaths in deeply. He seems to be eating the light in the arena. |
| ank06-06-07, 05:15 PM | If Sevifor's jaw could drop, and his eyes widen to mythic proportions, they would. As it is, he just stands in the arena and watches the flying dragon eat the light of the arena By all that is good and wonderful, he can't be serious. Sevifor looks, horrified, at the choas infested barriers that seperate audience from combatant. It was only seconds ago that he'd left those barriers in shambles, dead and almost worthless. Sorcen moves fast, but is that fast enough? Let them die! Such a shame... I must act now! No!I shouldSave myseThe innocenWe'll periWeak-minded... His thoughts roll endlessly into one voice, one spirit, in one body, and he lets go; gets lost within himself, and moves on machination. He is incomplete, the chaos incarnate, the eternal sufferer; if there is one thing that he can make up his mind on, though, its that he will not force his torment on an entire plane of existance. His life, memories, actions, and personality are all lost to the abyss. There is only one rock to which he clings, and tiny chestnut of a goal that he will not let go; the walls must hold. The choas rages, and rushes to the task, sliding up walls at an unbefore unforseen rate, hissing with urgency while Sevifor, a worthless shell lost within the comfines of his own soul, can only rock gently from side to side as Lafali prepares his deathbed... |
| Gaelro_Nailo06-11-07, 01:44 AM | Sorry about the wait. This is my last attack, I'm out of stuff to throw at sevifor. And sorry for the short post. Slowly the arena darkens. First lafali just absorbs the light, but then he draw in the colors too. After a few moments the arena is a dusky grey color, even lafali golden scales fade. Closing him jaws lafali looks one last time at his opponent, as one though echos thoughout the plane. "Forgive me for what I am about to do." Exhaling suddenly lafali unleashes a massive ball of multi-color matter at sevifor. |
