Sundog rounds [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-31-07, 09:09 PM I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to stat out a sundog round (from the Blade series). I assume they would be magical items, maybe having a Sunlight spell attached to them? How much would the be priced at?

I'd stat them out as regular bullets of whatever calibur they happened to be in the movie (.45 or 9mm typically falls under the 2d6 range), plus have an added sunburst effect that wouldn't do anything to a normal opponent, but causes 2d6 "sunlight" damage to Vampires (which completely ignores any DR, Fast Healing, or anything else like that)

09-10-07, 03:06 AM If it were D&D, then yeah, magic. But they're from a sci-fi-ish movie, and are described in technical/scientific terms. This makes them "special rounds", which in RP terms is the modern equivalent to "magic items".
In short, same thing - different name.
