*A solder stands on the stairs to the Palace.*

" Prepare our defences. Our city is about to be attacked by barbarians! They will be here in an hour. Prepare the millita. Hey grunt, go to the armory wake up that fool and tell him to get the arms and giving them to the troops. Go now, make haste!"

*Walks up to another town gaurd.*

" Go to the stable and get the knights we are about to be in a battle. After that go to the fletchery and get the archers."
Lord Tarran

Upon a hill, outside the walls of the city, a scout gazes down at the fortress, smiling. His frill was raised in excitement, a visible pulse of static energy passed over his golden scales as he paced back and forth. The plains landwyrm chuckled slightly, before exploding down the opposite side of the hill, nothing but a golden blur in the golden grass.

Moments later, he arrives near the main host of the army. Unlike the barbarians the city guard had detailed to his troops, this army was definitely one of organized power. The shining chainmail, the glistening weapons, the drawn out banners, a conquering army was on the march.

Chuckling again at the might of the forces, he sped through the ranks, the troops smiling as they saw the golden wingless dragon. Presently, the wyrm stopped next to a great, white horse at the back of the column. Upon it sat a tall elven warrior, seemingly very strong for one of a slighter race. He too smiles, seeing the draconic grin.

"I trust you bring good news," he proposed to the golden creature.

"You would be right, Marius." the plains beast replied, the sounds clicking off his tongue. "The city is ill prepared, and thinks of our invansion as nothing more than another barbarian attack. A true combat force, like our own, should be able to conquer within a few days, with little casualities."

"Just what I wanted to hear! Thank you Raeyel." The tall elf responed.

The golden plains landwyrm made a reptilian purr in response, as he trotted alongside the commander. "They'll never know what hit them."

Back in the city:

"Go to the wizards guild and get the evokers, necromancers, and the war mages. We must not let them take the city!"

*Goes over to the walls and takes his telescope out. He sees these are not the barbarians he thougth they were."

"I begining to think these are more than just barbarians we are dealing with."

*Walks back down to the armory. He gets on his chain mail and sheathes his ancesteral katana.*

*Gathers all of the cities forces: archers and wizards on the wall, half of the foot solders on the wall with them, ther other half with the knights on the ground*

"Let the games begin."

Raeyel smiles at the city forces predictability, as he watches the deployment from the front of the stopped army. He glances upward at Marius, who too is smiling.

"Bring up the catapults! Load em' and enchant them for hellfire! Lets demoralize the front troops, and make them scatter. We'll go for the walls afterwards," Marius orders his troops, before looking at the reptile. "Are you going to cause some havoc?"

With a flash in his eye, the plains wyrm responds, "Of course. I'll just slip through and murder their king or something." And then he was gone, with nothing but the wind revealing his prescences as he passes over the walls unseen.

"Catapults are ready, my lord," announces a young soldier.

"Good. Wait until you see Raeyel's flare go up, and then fire. Fire too if they charge, I want to take as many of them out before we take the city."

WITHIN NEAR THE GUARD COMMANDER:

Raeyel had no trouble hunting down the guard commander. He was the only one in ornate armor of any kind, and the only one giving orders. Deciding that the greatest havoc could be created with the captain's sword, the small dragon snuck behind the man, taking the sword from his sheath in his unseen state. If he manages to get the sword, detected or no, he bolts up the wall of the building, resuming invisiblility as soon as poosible to cover the sword, before charging over the roofs towards the kinds castle.

"Fool do you think taking my sword is that easy. Feng come to me."

*His ancesteral sword comes back.*

At Marius's command:

Great shield of magic come up in front of the forces, supported by mages glowing in their power near the rear of the army, out of reach. Watching the city roofs, Marius sees a glint, and knows it to be Raeyel. He sees the golden glint disappear into the castle. He smiles, baring predatory teeth.

"Prepare to fire on my mark."

WITHIN THE CASTLE:

Having slip past the guards with relative ease, after slitting their throats with one long talon, the small dragon stays invisible, beyond the sights of even true seeing, as he makes his way along the hall, closer to the king's throne. Entering the room through its open doors, the invisible dragon crawls over the ceiling, over the worrying king. The old man seemed out of place in his crown, the guard captain seeming more of a leader than this fool. Raeyel dispels his invisibility, hissing loudly at the unguarded king. The old man looks up slowly, his eyes going wide as the golden dragon leaps down from his perch, crushing the table as he lands. Pushing the man backwards, closer to the wall, he hisses, torturing the old man with the image of death. And so death came, as flashing talons cut clean the head of the old man, as the great fast beast hissed in pleasure. Taking the head of the old man, and placing it on a nearby spear, crown and all, the dragon rushed back over the city roofs, hurling the head and javelin at the guard captain as he let loose a flare of magic into the air as he passed over the walls, taking several wizards and knights to their doom with his invisible claws. Clearing a path for himself, Raeyel swung around in a halt next to Marius just as the hellfire orbs began to land on the amassed forces of the keep, and the wail of anguish ripped through them.

"What did you do?" the general asked the dragon.

The dragon flashed his predatory grin. "I killed their king, all the guards of the actual castle, and a massive amout the wizards and fighters around the main gate, as well as signal a blast of dark magic that if it didn't kill the people in front of the wall directly, it will have in a few moments, if the second blasts don't get them Why you ask?"

"Just curious," replied Marius as the second volley of catapult Hellfire was loosed

*Sees the dragon and commands the archers to shoot it. Five arrows hit.*

Or they would have, had the archers been able to keep the arrows trained on the dragon long enough, before his speed, and semi invisiblity moved him away. More Hellfire orbs dropped on the front troops, making those whom remained nothing but dieing souls, or burnt corpses.

"Aim for the walls!" Roared Marius, as the catapults adjusted. "Take out as many wizards as possible, so that Raeyel and the shock troops have less trouble. Their antimagic is only good to a certain point!"

As the elf general commanded, the dragon watched as troops with obvious draconic blood within them, or other beasts of speed, came around him. Whispering somthing to all of them, they all lined up, preparing to take the wall of the castle and drive back the defenders into the main building.
